Very, very interesing phone. The camera is a true 1.3mpix, not interpolated. The software is highly moddable, from changing system icons, to features (like thermometer, multitasker and more). The screen was nice for its day, definately better than the non-TFT Siemens SX.

This was my 1st phone and it lasted impressive 11 years (well I had to replace the battery twice). By the way there is an error in Call Records section because my version has 100 slots for each of those. Screen was a bit small even compared to other phones from same time period but other than that it was a great phone.

The startup and shutdown sounds are really COOL !!! ;) I destroyed the replay button of the sounds. It's never gotten old!

I agree, I have this cell to 6 years and works perfectly, only the charger that ruined and had to use a universal battery life has decreased but is still sufficient for 4-5 days, what surprised me most, I see no one siemens hand of any person

Siemense CX75 was my 1st multimedia phone back in 2005. What a great phone it was except some laggings like frequenty freezing and video playing issues. I will never forget those memories when my frnds was extremely amazed to listening the audio quality through its stock headphones.Even it was better then nokias music express 5200 back then. I have enjoyed it very much. Salam to Siemens for such midrange phone like it.now I am using nokia n91 8GB for its music quality.

i m using this set since 2006, its a good phone, camera is good although no night mood.. music quality excellent(bettr than nokia 3110 n 2700c) its java nd net feature works good.. althgh slow bt good.. gprs cls 10 ie 32-48kbs=4-6kBs..can b used as modem data exchng rate btwn pc nd mob both in case cbl nd Bt device is 10-14kBs its slow cmpared to available sets now.. bt its 5yr old set and still alive nd working good.. i love this set

My Siemens CX75 is auto locked. After a subsequent tries of 3 times by my friend ,the mobile is autolocked now.so, now the phone locks every 15 minutes. I have to switch off and switch on every 15 minutes, if I am making any cal. please advice how to get it unlock the (PHONE LOCK).

hi i have used my cx75 Siemens phone for a while now though here in Africa(kenya) its circulation is not high thus finding batteries and other accessories is hard to come by last June my phone started to experience some hitches it would hang and when i restart it works fine though this problem persisted til now when you switch the phone on it lights but doesn't take you to another step, making me not able to use the phone what could be the problem with my phone

sorry but saeed is an ass i have the siemens and; -i download Player4 and i can set full screan video -the bluetooth go to 20 -the camera is perfect(like 2 megapixel) -it has mod that run 240x320 java perfect -the menu is so easy to use (not like the rubbish SE and samsung)and only siemens can send games to other telephone -and with softwere update you can fastfoward the mp3 and video -i don`t know why siemens diden`t say that cx75 have a mp4 video player(not all mp4 but some fo them)my videos are all mp4.

From my cx75 music player I can't fast forward the song. But by the help of software I can even fast forward the video also. But it is a great regret that cx75 does not support".sis" file. thank god! my cx75 broked! its too slow, take almost 1 minute to start and recognised its mmc card, its big, its software is a joke. any other cell phone would make me happier, and its happened. i will never have another siemens mobile again! i heard that siemens stopped to produce it. smart decision

Bad phone because: 1- battery life is too bad 2- bluetooth speed is too slow 5kb/s 3- unattractive main menu (childlike menu) 4- no fast forward \ rewind in MP3 mode 5- recording sound not good (AMR format) 6- you can not record video more than 90 sec 7- quality of camera is so bad. 8- low internal memory. 9- low Pixle (132x176) 10-you can,nt view video file in full screen and alot of other problems.

At first when i saw the add in newspaper & watched the huge specification i just fall in love with it.But it took a very little time to frustate me.Coz within the next month i found my phone off after each 2 minutes.after 3 time servicing though my phone offered sound operation for 3 months now it behaves very rude to me.Now i find my set get hanged at least 3 times a day.Anoter problem is most often the keypad is locked.Despite having all the limitations i love it very much 4 its excellant outlook & nice programming configuration.

You guys down there are st*pid, The phone costs 80e, and it has all the options you could want, except FM radio. The battery lasts 3days+ if you form it right, pictures taken at night are great, mp3 player is pretty good, again it is only 80e, what else do you want, to scatch your back or something?

This phone is very good.The only bad thing about it is it's not a smart phone otherwise it never hangs and has all features.I like the bluetooth on this phone.You can keep it on and while you are walking around you can catch all interesting stuff.Battery is very decent nearly 3 days.Cam is 1.3 and better than nokia ones in the same range.works well with 512 card.Mp3 is very good and sound is too.For the price they are selling this phone it beats any motorola or Nokia in same class.I recommend it to people who want a good phone that works and promises what it delivers

well,this phone is very good 4 me! you know why? it's performance still ok when u use 256mb. you can compare with w300i. i think, CX75 is better than w300i. look at the camera, it is 1.3mpix. you can open your html files that put in your mmc. it's screen resolution is also bigger than w300. the only minus at CX75 is no FM radio.

This mobile is truly and utterly horrible! I had a Samsung E700 before which was miles ahead in functionality and usability. I bought it 1,5 years ago, falling in love with the features. If you really want it make sure you try before you buy... It's unbelievably slow in operation, the camera sucks (despite 1.3M camera)and the joystick is very uncomfortable to use and not just for people with big thumbs. I'm happy to finally get rid of this damn thing!

To use b;uetooth you need go to setup>conectivity>bluetooth and then press switch on. Start searching devices and send that's all, BUT I HAVE A QUESTION WHY BLUETOOTH TRANFER IS SO SLOW ONLY 5KB/S how can i do this work faster. Sorry for my english.

Good phone, but many doubts: 1 - which is the max mmc size? 2 - How to transfer via IR or Bluetooth directly to the mmc? (The internal memory is so low, if u try to transfer higher files, an error happ) 3 - Why the siemens site havent all information and documentation of the phone? hi all, I`ve something o share. Yes this phone has some irritating nature like copies everything. I found that in order to ncrease your phones battery life, reduce the LCD brightness level to at least 50% or you can do it to 10% if you are ok with the visibility. I found that this prolongs battery life dramatically. I got minimum 2 days without charging. And to use it as GPRS modem, it's better to use it via USB cable which is available in any siemens store.

This Cel has all stuff I ever wanted, but battery life and size. :D MP3 player is very good, even more in the stereo headphones (included in my package, that also included usb cable and memory card 128mb), so sorry that can`t work while this. \o/ Camera is well defined, allied with good white balance, and registered colors. So good that came with extended memory and PC connection. There`s a real 1.3MP photo (in Premium mode), the High mode downs to common VGA standard (640x480). :) The functions are bit hard to find, but handly, and most easy to use. Video are very small and low framerate, but interesting voice recording. Counters are the size (exceptionally big, but light) and battery life duration, very short (only lasts 1-1.5 day in my hand). I like it for fun and some tech functions!

hu guys,i have this phone for 3 months now.A cool set compared to its price indeed,but some flaws too 1)the keys dont take any command sometimes. 2)The gprs modem wont work and turn the phone off.(switching off the sim helped) 3)Turns off 4)only java support,no symbians Pluses: good mp3 player,effective bluetooth and irda. good talktime,basically long charge time if gprs is not used for a long time. tips: u now can copy ther web pages(from pc) and see them from the phone.

hi i read your posts about the iR and BT issue , and i have to tell you my phone receives files from my laptop via IR easily all you have to do is to check that you have enough free memory on the phone and not on the memory card, coz files received via IR or BT are stored on phone memory. i hope i helped you all

The camera photo quality is good.Videos are a bit slow.Zooming while taking a photo reduces picture size, that's a minus point.Music quality is satisfactory,but the earphone doesn't treble or bass.

This phone isn't as bad as people here calls it. CX75 is a good phone. The voice of Mp3's are good when you use headphones. Pictures that you make with camera are very good. There's no so much spots as its been said here. And if there could be some spots you can of course put the picture to smaller size, it removes most errors of the picture. And also, theres memory card included. That's a good thing if wants to put music on phone. At all, this is easily the best phone I ever had.

Hi everybody, I am a new comer of this site. all of the readers of this site is very friendly and I love this.I baugt a CX75 phone 3 months ago. at first it hangs a lot but when I started to play MP3 file by other player, my phone become faster then privious. Now it hangs only once or two in a months. So if anyone wants advice from me I will suggest him/her to not use the default player of this phone.

My feedback on the overall quality of the phone... phone looks nice, but it has some major flaws. 1) i tried loading mp3's via infrared and the phone automaticall diclined the transfer (as if it was an invalid file type. I said "fine" i loaded a .wav file. After the transfer, the playback FAILED. 2) the IRDA and Bluetooth cannot work at the same time, either one or the other. 3) Camera under PREMIUM mode has horrible picture, low light areas appear as black (same one video mode). 4) The battery was half charged and it did not make it for more than 6 hours. 5) Middle button (on joystick) is sort of lame, you have to press quite a bit hard in order to have it function. 6) the RS-MMC is very inconvinient because if you want to remove it, you must have the other attachable half in order to clip on and be able to retract it. i've only had the phone for 12 hours and I am not satisfied with it. I hope that my phone is defective, and that not all SIEMENS suck like this. Good luck to you all with your CX75! -regards, SAM

I just bought CX75 n it looks cool, EXCEPT: 1. It cannot receive data from my PC via infra red. When I asked what may be the problem they said that it's a custom for siemens phone. Wow, isn't that dissappointing! 2. When I tried the other themes the colours don't match with the battery and signal sign (why don't the colour of the battery and signal sign become blue as well or other colour that match the themes!!! It stays orange... Man... Blue and orange don't match). So what the hek... I only use the standard themes (all in orange). 3. When playing the music player why can't we use other application? Blaaaaahhhh... 4. The sound of music is JUST AVERAGE... 5. Yesterday when I shut down my CX75 it hanged!!! Incredible, how on earth can that happen HAH? So I took the battery off and put it again. Yeah it worked again! 6. The battery is... Why do I have to charge it once a day? 7. In Indonesian language setting I found one error on choosing font text size (SMS): - Huruf besar(X)suppose to be "kecil" - Huruf sedang - Huruf besar Well I don't know what more I can find later in the future about this fascinating CX75. I was just fascinated to see to specifications of cx75 in gsmarena and bought this phone two months ago. I was very glad as I've got a 1.3 mp camera, video recorder, voice recorder, mp3 player, irda-bluetooth-usb options, huge memory with a free mmc card and sooooo on. But I am quite disappointed as I've that the pic quality is not that good (pics are large in size, but have spots), video clips can't be exceeded more than 37 sec, recorded voice quality is not satisfactory (the voice are recorded in AMR format, is there any way to convert it to MP3 format?), mp3 sounds good in headph but not without it. The battery performance is veeeeeeeery low. Sometimes I've to charge my phone two times a day!!! The speed is veery slow, and it often gets hanged. And the more irritaing thing is that sometimes my display gets mad, everything got stretched haphazardly, nothing can't be seen. I was about to cry to find this prb for the first time as I bought the phone by my scholarship :(... The phone has lots of attractive specifications at a very cheap price....but quality is not good at all... What can I say...BEGGERS MUST NOT BE CHOOSERS! :(

i bought my cx75 on october 2005, after inspired and getting information from gsmarena. initially it was relatively good with the version 12 variant a707 software.recently i have upgrated the version to 23 and has made the greatest mistake. software version 23 is really really bad causing frequent shutdown of the set during camera on or mp3 playback. really awesome. so dont upgrade the software to version 23 and better not to bye any siemens mobile in the future. thanks

i recently bought cx75. it really looks good. have a mmc in the package and a mp3 player built in and comparatively in low price. but . . . . . . sads . . . . this set is frequently gets off. frequently it infromed that the memory card is damaged or not formated. and lots of problem. the camera doesn't have night vision. so in low light or in night the taken pictures are very bad. as well as all the applications are very slow. i agree with "Tayem" living with this pain. my pain is huge because i bought this set with my first income. note that : i live in bangladesh. and all siemens phone available here is from china. previously i was using nokia after using siemens i will say nokia sets are really better than siemens. and if u r a bangladeshi and planing to buy siemens set please please don't make this mistake like me. cause all the set now available in bangladesh is from china. and my last word "i will never ever buy or use a siemens mobile" -all this are my opinion please don't take this as a fact.

shahid, i strongly recoment not to by cx75. its look is good, not in function. 1.3mega pix camera don't give a quality image. the picture is big in size but there remains lots black spot on picture. camera focus is worst kind. it frequently hang. it can't read from the card often. i called the simens service centre they didn't response. so, i had to be with this pain. best of luck

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE MY PERSONAL OPINIONS AS FACTS OR CONCLUSIVE To prospective buyers of CX75 - please do not buy this phone if you can afford another 1.3 MP camera phone of other manufacturer. The phone is kinda ok - feels the same as cx65 and s65. The camera is the same. The firmware didnt seem much different. the MP3 player is really sloppy - though the sound is good. can play on speakers or headphone but the player is bad - gives you a headache. The camera is average - the colors are not so real, auto white balance not rilli good. But then, siemens menu system and the way its organized is good. If youre tight on budget and want a 1.3 mp camera good menu system average to poor battery performance mp3 phone with a limited function mp3 player - go and buy it. its not bad. I rate it 8.6 out of 10. Sony Ericsson K750 got 9.3 from me. Go search the other reviews on this product before buying. Have fun.

to kamezzle: your phone isnt defected. the rs-mmc card needs to be inserted in one movement, until the "click" is heard. its hard to do it with your fingers(only if u r a girl with long nails :P), so use the connector of the card with the other side of it, not that one that sticks to the card. what i wrote applies to the M75, i think its the same with the CX.

to julian: i didnt listen to mp3s on any k700 so i could give u a comparison. with the HHS-500 headphones that come with the phone the sound is pretty good, it could have been louder(i mean on the street or where u have background noise, if its quite u dont have to push the volume to the max). the HHS-700 headphones are also compatible with the phone, on the siemens site they say these are of excelent quality. im gonna see about that. to Morter: what loudspeakers? the Mobile Music Set from siemens?

with the M75 comes a HHS-500 stereo headset, i think its the same with the CX. what do u mean with the improvement with the software of the phone? u can make firmware updates. its something like the automatic updates for win xp(if u didnt have a siemens phone before). as i said in some previous posts, my M75 works perfect, no bugs at all(maybe i was just lucky :D). the CX has the same software.

I have a software problem with the phone. I have had the phone for 3 months now, and this is happening repeatedly: it stops working. Just like the mouse stops working in Windows sometimes, same here. Joystick doesn't work, "please wait" lasts for ever etc. I have to shut it down and restart in order for the phone to work!! SHutting down is not easy either. it does not reply to the command immediately. ANyone know what I should do? Thanks

This phone is good to use even though it gives me stress as everytime an sms comes in as I am sending one, the phone switches off. At times I try to switch it on again and it refuses to show a screen for me to enter my PIN. This is very irritating!

the menus are pretty much colorful, the pics u saw are with a less colored theme. u can use other themes form the phone or download a lot of other themes from some sites.

About "Card defected or not formatted": the card needs to be inserted in one movement. if its pushed 2 or more times in, until the "click" is heard the phone would "believe" it was removed without the eject card option, so it gives the error message. it does not need to be formated or other stuff. About screen turning white while playing mp3s, cos' i had the same problem: the frequency of the mp3s has to be 44100Hz, bitrate doesent matter, it can be variable.

I look at this phone and i love the specs,they're just what i need,i like the design aswell,im more of a gadget freak than a buisness man so i'm interested in the volume of this phone.Can anyone pls compare it to either the k700 or 6230i my mates have these and i could tell,and another thing,it doesn't lack anything major but it's very cheap,at just 900 RON(300$),next to a samsung E730,for example(400$), wich has similar features but lacks a card slot. Well, this phone is a geek one. I enjoy using this phone. The camera is nice but the video quality is ain't that impressive. And when its in hands free mode, the poor quality of the speaker make you mad. And the biggest problem is it hangs every now and then when its in heavy use. Guess all Siemens phone have this problem. The attached mmc card made a difference when you dont have to buy seperately. Overall, if one gets by with the cons, its a nice phone to have. you can make all the customizations you want and make it YOURS.

to larne & others: pics r good, i cant give u a comparison to samsung phones, but r the same/better than some nokias. cant tell u much about the video, i dont use it. it supports up to 1GB rs-mmc(the siemens site says). software works fine, no major bugs or not at all. i have the M75, which is the practically the same phone. i dont realy like the cx75 design so i bought the M75 which also has the resistance to water, shock and dust, very happy with my phone. i dont think u would regret buying it.

hi Ashique.Excuse me 4 my English.yeah I have had your problem too.It depends on quality of downloading files to the phone.first I have done it using Infrared port .and sometimes during downloading, the connection was failed and again It connected.but now I am using Card Reader 4 my RS- MMC . And it has not any problem.

But i connected it with computer delete everything i don't need languages, T9 and so on. I opened hiden section(wich is not accesible for users, and it gots additional ~3mb space) and change default phone ringtones, wallpaper, icons, take off camera sound and operator logo to my ones and don't lost any space. So with all my modifications i'v got 10.04mb free from 10.3m ;)and don't forget that cx75 supports rs-mmc memory cards in manual writes that it supports up to 512mb cards, but friend tried 1gb, even 2gb cards and it worked fine.

According to the documentation the cx75 can play AAC encoded music. If I download an AAC encoded file from itunes to the mobile, then the song is not played. Neither with the itunes compatible file name extension (.m4 something) nor with the mp3 extension. Does anybody has an idea how to play the aac encoded files on a cx75? Dirk

There is a problem when u change the language, then some menus change to the new language and other stay in the previpus, but if u put the phone off and on its ok. I advise u to buy CX75 not SE K700. CX75 has much much better camera, memory card, it is newer, u can update it easily, a lot better file system, better address book, it plays AAC files and much more. Buy CX75 without thinking.

i am using Nokia 6670 nowadays which is well-known (family) for its MP camera. i want to make it clear here that my ex CX65 gives better results than 6670 in my opinion and many others. i've compared both of them at the same time and found 6670 pics same in quality but little darker even in normal light while CX65 was better by all aspects. i've also seen pics of M75 and can say the same thing if compare 6670 with it. Nokia 6670 gives grainy pics when in indoor while Siemens ones don't! anyway, everyone has his own experience!

Mansspams: 200 hours from manual is maximum, when you dont use it, it is just turned on and you dont touch it. According to my experience with S65, lot of energy consumes display. If you set it to 10-30%, it should be still bright enough. I have reached 3-4 days of standard use this way instead of 2. Certainly, also BT eats a lot.

Just got this phone and im lovin' it :) Just fiew surprises - Riga is missing in Choose your location menu. Cmon! Its the capital of EU state for Christ sake! I love that there is a way to change settings of those two "virtual" keys so that i get musicplayer and voice memo available with double click of one button, but unfortunatly i cannot change settings for "joystick" directions, i hate when camera can be started 2 ways, one (side button) would be enought and left direction i would much rather use for quick jump to calendar. Otherwise its sweet phone...

I don't think so about the lack memory of my phone, now I have 20 MB free memory n i still can not send or receive any data more than 1 MB. you can't receive any file larger than 1mb becoz u don't have enough memory on the phone coz i faced this problem also so i deleted some sounds and pictures,animations and java games and i got 5mb free memory on the phone and now i can receive any big file but still less than 5mb

Hi unknown! No doubt CX75 is a good mobile phone by function. I’ve been using its forerunner CX65 for about a year. It also had some bugs that have been removed by Siemens in the upcoming FWs. I am currently using FW50 and it’s great by all means even the camera sound is reduced to the half of the previous one. Anyway, a mega pixel camera should not mean just a large sized image but it should also give more clear and sharp pictures like Nokia 6630, SE S700 or SE750i. Here’s a comparison of its pictures with SE S700i on www.mobile-review.com. Have a look at it and find out how un-natural colours it is giving! I hope there’re no harsh feelings. Hi Guys, I bought this phone yesterday in INDONESIA CELLULAR SHOW 2005, at about USD 270. My set came included with 128 MB RS-MMC and Stereo headset. I feel this price was a bit on higher side, but since it was a launching at a fair, I paid and got home the new buddy. Well it is same as 65 series, but with moderate changes in technical specs. Software interface more or less the same. Guys, I would like to tell you, if your Siemens set is made in Germany, it is better built and finished product than if the set is made in China. Since today in Indonesia, Nokia 6600 still sells at USD 260/set, this is a much better option. Talk to you later.....

The CX75 series is like the CX65. The same features. Enchance applications? i don't think so. Is the software ver. compatible to CX75 series? Siemens phones are adaptable with the european market. Not all people in asia are tech-y. The value of the siemens phones in asia, are not that high as sony or nokia.

Firstly this is a very stylish and sleak design. Very eligant because it comes in silverish color and a sand grey color. A Plus on that. All the currently hype features are included except for the usual thing that happens whenever siemens releases a new model. There is always something thats missing. (The FM Radio) Pity, I really want siemens to come back. But I dont understand why is it always they just lose out like this. I mean it is quite a perfect model but then again they just forget to look at whats out there and whats "Hot" or in other words what the people want. In my opinion CX75 is great mid-class phone, and I don't miss radio to it. Only few questions are still open: Are there exchangeable covers (hope not)? Can you use it as usb memory when you cable and card to it (no drivers, regocnizes as usb-memorys => able to use with linux allso)?

this phone has almost no comparision with Nokia 3230 as that is a smart phone while CX-70 is an ordinary one with good features. however it's MP3 is supposed to be stereo while N3230's heard to be mono. but still we can't compare these two with eachother. wait a min, i think N6230i could be compared with it as this phone lacks only one, two features of it, others are same or may be better than 6230i. if i'm wrong anyone correct it please!
