Believe me you will gain a lot of revenue if you upgrade the specs of your old model phones. You dont have to fight with Samsung or iPhone... but instead create successors to your old phones and set them as you low end phones with touch screen and powered by Android.

I had this phone for 9 months. Got it brand new. Had nothing but problems. Touch screen junk. Camera very good. Whatsapp IS NOT AVAILABLE AND WILL NOT RUN ON THIS DEVICE!!!! Thank the developer because they can make it for the Nokia c3 but not this one. I would not buy this one again. If you like this phone and need a similar for replacement the w995 is a much better choice.

yes, I loved this fone too. The camera and other features. And yes, java limited me in downloading apps. Repair also becomes useless because replaced flex will be good for only a couple months. But I super like the accessories that came w/ it. bluetooth headset, spare headset cover, plus the base charger...not all have these. If only the replacement (flex) lasted longer, i'd keep it forever...

The Aino (as in Aino this is a piece of crap) is an absolute piece of Shite. The slider is weak, it locks up constantly, the touch screen ignores your existence, whatsapp not supported by whatsapp. Whatsapp does not want to comply with the rest of the world. Whatsapp wont run on my nokia c2 either (which is inexcusable) but defend the bunker runs on EVERYTHING I have tried to run it on including the AINO. I don't understand developers like this. The only good thing about the AINO is the Camera. Its a Java OS so MOST java apps run quite well just don't depend on the touchscreen for anything. I ran a processor speed check app and after about 5 min it clocked the processor at 200 MHZ. It plays movies quite well in spite of this, provided they are formatted properly. The sound quality and bluetooth stereo are a pro. It has GPS but unless you want to pay a monthly fee to use the maps from Wisepilot(and data) you cant use that. Google maps run but good luck finding your way with it. What you will spend to buy this would be better spent on a HTC.

Aino is a piece of shit, 2 years using this phone, no applications, no games, bad photos in normal light (but very good fotos in light), strange screen resolution you can't find videos in this native resolution of 432x240, the youtube application works but the quality video of this application is a piece of shit cause no more updates of it, it was better my old Nokia N82 far superior of this shit with 3D games and stuff ... and the Aino charge/audio connector is THE WORST ever seen, is THE SAME connector for AUDIO and CHarge, and always faults, i was prefer some internal conector and not this piece of shit. the only good thing about this phone is his stability, never slows and never blocked, thats normal i think because his Operative System is very limited ... And think i'am gonna buy a Motorola Razr HD.

my aino is too good , but in this phone the problem will start from slider , i mean touch in which in build pannel is to be short , then toch is not working , and in which it have multimedia touch . not full touch . and its camera and sound quality is super . good and comfortable.

belive it or not, this phone is out of this world Super!. This phone fell from a 2 storey building and only the flex ribbon got bad. After changing it,its good to go again. no my friend, it doesn't support chat & messaging applications like viber,skype, kik etc, because its o.s. is not compatible with such applications. The only application that i know you can use for now is yahoo messenger you can try downloading it on its official website. My phone is a w995 i had a the same dilemma of cannot download a app. like skype, viber etc. so i hope that answer's your question

Its Sony/Erissons Java OS. They used to be good but not this one. I sent mine back 3 times under warranty for the touch screen and then they made a bogus liquid damage claim so they wouldn't have to fix it.I never got it wet. I will never deal with S/E again. Truth is its a complete failure out of the box. I also found that due to its form factor and weight it was always slipping out of my hand and the battery cover is not real secure so out comes the battery and all. Software wise it ran Java apps very well (unlike most java samsungs and "RIM" blackberrys) but was slow to turn on/boot. The camera worked exceptional outside of the non responsive touch screen until the last time it slipped out of my hand like a greasy bar of soap, it failed to focus properly. I would steer well clear of this model, and due to S/E's lack of support, any future models. At its very best the Aino is a good doorstop if you slide it open and wedge it under.

bought it new a week ago. these are my first impressions : - very weak battery capacity - 8 mega pixel but the picture is blured when you move slightly your hand or when one of the picture elements is moving even slowly (for ex : a car, a walker by...etc) and this is very deceiving. - Since i bought it i open and closed about 3 times the back cover and i noticed that the back cover got a 2 cm crackeling wich tells a lot about the quality of manufacturing that turns to be finaly very low. the tough aspect is a catch. if you're looking for tough materiel don't get lured by the aspect

I have the Aino for almost 2 years now and I wouldn't advise anyone to buy it.. First of all, the touch screen is slow and plays tricks. If you mute an incoming call once, the phone remains silent unless you restart it and sometimes even does this on its own. On more than one occasion, it blacked out with an incoming call and refused to show me who was calling me! A couple of months ago, it just died! It refused to be charged by any charger ever and, believe me,as an all time sonyericsson user, I have plenty. It miraculously came back to life two or three months later with no obvious reason. If I switch profiles, the menu button would just fail to respond! I've owned a lot of sonyericsson phone back before the merge, and this has been by far the worst that, much to my dismay, I'm thinking of another brand for my next phone!

I have the Aino for almost two years and if the only thing you like about Aino is its camera, don't buy it. It takes great pictures (far worst than Iphone4 with 5mpx) at daylight, but very poor pictures in the night. Hope to be helpfull

I recently got the Aino after having the C905 for almost 3years after the screen died. I must say the battery life is incredibly short after I charged it to 100% it went down to 95% in a couple minutes without using it at all (bluetooth and wifi turned off and even the firmware being up to date) The camera settings are very limited, I can't turn off the shutter noise for the camera/video even in silent mode, can't adjust the gamma(brightness) like I could in C905. The only improvements I see so far on this phone is the screen being larger and brighter, and the wifi I am able to use the apps. When I zoom while recording video on the C905 it makes a tapping noise but with the Aino it eliminates that. The charging stand and wireless bluetooth headset is great! Since I don't have a data plan the C905 wouldn't let me use apps even with wifi turned on. I will try to enjoy this phone but would not recommend getting it as an upgrade from the C905.

hate this phone.such capacitive touch screen for not using it.need to download apps for touch screen for use it,for android it´s easy but for java not much.i had it and felt stupid for having capacitive screen and no way of using it but with the multimedia.and like i said: java. really disappointed.but the problem was really the software.too much hardware for beeing only a java phone :(

Sony Ericsson Aino U10i is fun phone, but the menu is slow and all the moves you do take some time. Even when you are typing SMS then you can feel the slowness of this phone. Some times it get's stuck while listening music. Besides all this it is quite good phone for casual user who use phone only for calling. My next phone will be Sony Ericsson but with Android OS, because this Aino don't support much programs. GPS works fine!! (for 50 minutes and then the battery will be empty.)

Hi everyone, the Aino camera is not good at all, there is no option where i can resize the size of a picture and it result a very large format of an image, when you gonna take a picture using it, it's not that good, you need to resize it first in your desktop to have a great pixel of image, there is lack of option in camera, the settings of the camera is poor. there is a fix size of an image, when you gonna take a photo at night using flash and when you take a close up picture, it's not good. the video is really great at daylight, it's very clear and no need to convert it if you have already quick time player to play the video in your desktop.

I've had this phone for about 7 months now and there are a couple bad things about it. 1) When I put a new memory card in (16GB) it would fail to recognize it sometimes, i've formated it as suggested on the web and am looking to see how long this fixes the problem 2) The OS sucks, it's hard to get neat applications and theses days applications are everywhere. 3) for the price ~150 - 200 CDN dollars I'm not sure if it's worth it. Specially with the new SE phone which is actually a gaming console this doesn't make sense anymore.

Then i got Aino.. guys i found it swimming [aino] in the pool like a year ago and yet its great, it still can fuction better than many phones, even if its symbian =d Cam is far superior than XperiaX10 here: - a picture of a flower i have in facebook, taken with aino] Bluetooth headphones work great too, damn great actually, i love it =D PS. delete your msgs so it wont lag cz of full phone memory ;)

a good phone :) the touch screen has only limited fuctions you can't use it for menu just for browsing photos, making photos and listening to music/radio; some aplication/games may use it, but for all the main fuctions (texting, browsing...)the keyboard is used

Hey! basically the phone is like an ordinary phone with buttons for everything, messaging, calling etc. the touchscreen part of the phone is only when you slide the phone down and you only see the screen. the touchscreen function only enables you to go to your camera, photo gallery, music, videos and radio. all other things have to be done with the phone buttons :)) hope this helps a little :)

To whom it may concern Please pass this on to Sony. I am a huge fan of Sony Ericsson phones, it makes the most amazing phones when it comes to entertainment (Radio, mp3, etc) and camera capability. But they are found wanting when it comes the most basic phone applications. 1. Predictive text on these phones needs to be given a second look, yes its Japanese & Swedish manuctures but when catering for eglish markets ensure that the phone can recognise most english words. 2.Privacy, the advantage Samsung has over SE is that with Samsung one can set up security over any directory (phonebook, music,videos,pics, you name it) on the phone, SE lacks this functionality. 3. SE has limited call settings. It allows you to set up an incoming call list , but does not allow you to set up a reject list. These are very basic phone features that manufacturers like Nokia & Motorola have perfect waaay before the dawn of camera/smart phones. it would help if SE could get these right. It appears the more their phones advance the more they lose the basics.

Phone is fantastic for old school user who hate the incompatibilities of switching phones (i.e. moving contact lists, getting used to new interfaces, learning touchscreen). However, the phone needs a better processor. Lags like crazy. If this phone had a better processor, 3.5mm audio output, and possibly a bigger screen, it would be the best phone!

This is currently in my wishlist. I like the Aino's overall specifications, BUT there is one thing that disappoints me, and that is the default menu interface. Why? because I find the default menu interface of my old k610 better.. They should've improved the menu's appearance, not downgrade it.. I Hope there's a better theme available though..

im using these phone for a year now and it is still ok.. i put 16GB memory card it is almost full with music movies.. the camera, music,and even movie playing are all ok.. only once it hangs all i do is i closed it for 10seconds and i open it again and its ready to use again.. i love this phone.. if you are buying these phone make sure to buy it inside malls or in big cellphone shops.. and make sure the box is not open..

I've had my Aino phone for a little over a year and I can truly say it's such a WASTE of your precious money. After less than 1 week I noticed that it would just hang and the keyboard was not working properly. I brought it back to the service station and opted for a replacement. After about 3 months problems started cropping up. Contacts that had already been saved to the phone's memory would just appear as numbers no matter how many times I try to save the entry. I noticed that it is also quite slow as whenever I'm texting and I receive a phone call i wouldn't be able to see who's calling and won't even be able to answer the call because the phone is still in the "texting mode". Major bummer! Basically, the phone will slow you down if you have an active lifestyle. I'm planning to buy a new phone and I'm getting wary of Sony Ericsson.

@ Sam Hey buddy I'm not confusing anyone but try clear some of their doubts about AINO. Hope you have seen my previous comments too...........No phone can beat AINO's walkman experience, the problem is with the handsfree not AINO. So to feel the magic of AINO's sound system better go for MW600 Bt headsets. or HPM 82 handsfrees. As I said before A - Awesome Display I - Incredible Sound N - Nice Design O - Overall a great phone!

Hi Guys, As you all know AINO used to be shipped out with MH 100 Bluetooth headset. Now you cannot get AINO but AINO classic. Since they cut down the price, they removed that dock, and the BT headset too. What we all get with our AINO Classic now is a low range yet low quality handsfree(Sony HPM 60). Thats the major let down really. I donno why SE should put this kinda Handfrees with AINO in the name of price cut down. Even a HPM62 would be better for the price!!! If you really want to feel the music quality in AINO go for the following Handsfrees. I put them in descending order.... # HPM 62 (Nice bass effects) # HPM 70 (Of course all time fav) # HPM 77 ( Not tried but heard the bass really good) # HPM 82 (Heard its doing great) # SE MW600 (BT headset..replacement for that MH100)

Its kinda difficult to choose between these two really! As a fan of camera, I prefer AINO over VIVAZ at anytime...Even my friend who is using VIVAZ gets my AINO to take some photos. The music clarity in AINO definitely over VIVAZ. One more important things, AINO's vivid brilliant screen beat VIVAZ to the core! AINO is SE's own Java phone whereas VIVAZ is running on Symbian.....And VIVAZ is a fully touch phone whereas AINO is a partly touch phone....And AINO has SE's usual(torturing) charging port whereas VIVAZ has USB port(3.5mm audo jack)....Both AINO & VIVAZ looks great on your hands! But VIVAZ somehow override AINO in looking...VIVAZ has a dashing look....)

No it is not, But AINO is a combination of SE's K Series & Walkman Series. I'm so much satisfied with the camera performance, it takes brilliant pictures. And records in HD that outcast any other mobile for sure! If you love MUSIC and CAMERA then go for AINO, it beats SE Vivaz, Xperia X10, Satio, also Samsung's wave, galaxy s, and Nokia's n8!!!!

The battery is not that good, I should tell you...It last no more than 1.5 days....and if you use camera often and listening to your music frequently it lasts only up to 15 to 20 hours....Apart from the battery backup, everything is just great with AINO. You cannot type messages using the touch screen. Through touch you can access your media files thats it!

I have had this phone since May... I can say i am very satisfied with mine.. I don't use Facebook and the apps on the phone so it doesn't bother me, and the battery life with my phone lasts for a long long time.. one week on one charge before completely outa juice. My only concern was that I had a situation where the phone auto muted the ringtone.. but it might be the Sony Ericsson's ringtone being corrupted.

Ok, so I've had this phone for just over a month now and I think it's awesome! It runs super smoothly and I have had no problems. People complain that they can only use the touchscreen when the phone is closed but this isn't true. There are many applications and games that use the touchscreen while the phone is both open and closed...this phone rocks! Go get yourself one!

I haven't tried, but AFAIK it isn't possible. Instead of using Skype consider downloading Nimbuzz. It works just like Skype - is free to use. It combines all your buddies from Skype, MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, AIM, Google Talk and more.

I liked the touch experience it gave while going thru FB n Twitter etc. If you want to see what it is actually then from your mobile web go to m.snaptu.com then install the app. Now open it and see the amazing... Hi, AINO classic comes with SE HPM60 hands-free, which is a low quality earphone that comes with all the SE low range phones (Why should they put a low quality handsfree with a high end music phone? A big disappointment really) If you want better output go for better choices. Hi, In terms of features, I don't see that much difference between W995 and AINO. Except for the 3.5mm audio jack, secondary camera and internal memory, the remains are same for both. I love AINO because of its elegant design, vivid 16m color display and of course it produces better pictures and videos than w995. And what I personally felt was, AINO's music experience is somewhat better than that of w995. Above all, AINO is partially touch phone Choice is yours..Think about switching between w995 n AINO...:)

Hi. I used to be a big big fan of Sony Ericsson (as opposed to Nokia, Motorola and other major brands of the past) And I bought this mobile about less than a year ago, and I regretted that. Aino is suck. I really don't recommend it to anyone out there as it's just a waste of money. It's way too slow and it hangs all the time. The only good thing about it is its 8.1 MP camera, headphones sound is also good (well I guess it's ought to be cause it's Sony). You either should go for full touchscreen smartphone or resort to older generation mobiles. SE K800 is a great phone by the way. Had it for almost seven years and it's still working fine. so please think twice before you buy an aino

hey Aino lovers, i just want 2 make u all notice an awesome specification (if u didn't notice it or don't know wut ist for or how to use it. It's the Web Albums...u have the access to Flicker, Blogger & Picasa web albums...i am using the Picasa & it's so cool... u just need picasa software on ur pc & a google account. Simply after u upload ur albums to the picasa web albums (adding captions, comments & private or public sharing or w/specific friends)...u can view, edit, comment on these albums from ur phone anywhere anytime..& without saving them on ur Memory card & it's fast & easy to set it up on ur phone...that's all about one of the great Specs of the Ultimate Aino.

Hey David, it's not a big deal...but let me ask u about a couple of things u should have done with the battery.. did u recharge it 6-8 hrs the first time u bought the phone ?...do u usually recharge the battery when it becomes low?...if u did/do these steps so u r doing the right steps 2 keep ur battery healthy. BUT if U DO THE OPPOSITE plus if u recharge the phone many times using car recharger..so u r ruining ur battery, try to do the opposite of wut u do...i.e don't switch off the phone before recharging it...restart the phone AFTER IT'S FULLY RECHARGED..& keep the plug don't remove it...just try this... about the gps app...i'm still searching for one for free or a crack for wisepilot...if u found one..plz let me know

@Homer Simpson I bought the Aino 2 days ago. The aino now comes in a vastly reduced package. You get the aino phone and battery, normal low quality wired earphones, usb cable and wall charger. No manual. I have the dock and bluetooth earphones from my brother, so I'm lucky I have the "full kit". But the bluetooth earphones aren't very good quality- no bass at all! Does anyone else find the bluetooth earphones not good, or am I using them wrongly?

Both are the same in everything except the ONLY difference between them is that the "U10 A" is compatible with the "NextG" which is a turbo-charged version of current 3G networks..i.e anywhere you can make a voice call plus higher data speeds.. N.B: ONLY ppl live in US & Australia should care about this difference cuz the "NextG" is now only provided by 2 companies in the world Telstra(Australia) and "Cingular"(US)..hope i could help

hey everyone, many of u asked me about gaming & from where u can download games for the Aino esp touch games...finally I've found a site which provide full touchscreen games which almost fit for the Aino screen...it's umnet.com...register for free & adjust the phone brand into SE Aino & choose to view 400x240 games which is almost fit the screen as the Aino's screen is 432x240..so u may see a small piece of the screen is blank but it's ok. u also can choose from 320x240 games which aren't touch screen games. i;ve just tried it & it works fine 4 me & cool

Hey Lim, i've put ma hands on these 2 phones..i already got the AMAZING Aino & go through the vivaz of one of my friends...it depends on these main points which u have to make a decision about them cuz these r the main differences between the Aino & Vivaz - u want Full touch screen Vivaz or u prefer the mix between keypad & Touch screen (limited to browsing , go through all ur media, answer..close..open loudspeaker..mute end ur calls plus all compatible apps work by touch) - R u more familiar with Symbian OS Vivaz (which i don't prefer nor recommend) or with Java OS Aino. -There isn't a big difference between each cam Resolution or qaulity both r almost the same but maybe video recording is better with Vivaz. comparing through the other specs won't confuse u as u must make ur decision first about these points.

hey Leeroy, u r welcome...if u wanna buy a BT headset with amazing sound quality & excellent battery lifeu should go for the MW 600(with 3.5mm jack of course) & don't worry at all about its battery life or ur phone battery cuz it's the least thing can consume charges from ur phone battery..trust me... u only have to use it wise i.e when u first buy if u found it recharged a little...use it until it's empty then do the long first recharge for 4 hours & always recharge when the battery is low..(same for the phone battery but the phone's battery needs 6 hours for first charge) MW600 is the best go for it & enjoy ur music & videos

hey Opa, about the SnapFish prints...i think it's related to SnapFish photo sharing site which powered by HP & don't understand how it's related...i keep it as it doesn't affect any thing& not taking space..so keep maybe it's imp about the antivirus...the java can catch a virus but the antivirus on the Aino will continue working even after exceeding expiry date (my Aino discovered a virus after a Bluetooth file transfer even after expiry date) but u only need to buy a product key 2 continue update the virus definitions...if u r so worried about it just double check any file on ur pc before transferring it 2 ur Aino OR buy one for 20$ i think...hope i could help

hi michael! i have 2 questions. 1st - what is SNAPFISH PRINTS? i have this TEXT FILE on OTHERS FOLDER. it looks like a LOG of what transpired the other day on your phone. i've been using SE phones for decades and this is the only time i've encountered this file (i'm using AINO now). how important is this file? should i just leave it or can i delete it? its on the phone's memory 2nd - isn't it that AINO runs on JAVA? which is supposedly not affected by viruses? if so, is it safe not to update my anti virus? (i have one on my phone). because it asks for a fee and not just internet fee. thanks a lot again michael

I've been using the Aino for almost a year & here a full review based on my experience using the phone for those who are thinking about buying the Aino.. i bought the full gadget Aino...the one with the BT headset & stand charger plus 8GB micro SD MC.(now there's been an Aino classic with 2 GB MC & without the headset & the stand charger but the same phone) i'll start with the software...it runs on Java..the well known SE smart OS...that's a huge benefit cuz it's very very smart among the handling ur contacts, ur messages, the file manager, the BT connection,music arrangement with the album arts ,the 3G internet connection even the USB connection etc...all of this has been upgraded in this phone rather than the other older SE phones with more options to facilitate many many things for u as SE has merged the smart options of the K-series with the specs of the W-series which make it a unique SE phone...that beside it's fast, & esp. in the Aino the touch screen is very responsive & smooth & in the past months i remember it hangs only twice at first yes only twice... on the other hand when u put ur hands on a Symbian(i put ma hands on many different phones) phone like for example the the nokia, some samsung phones & the satio & the vivaz...u'll know the difference..it hangs really a lot...very slow...the screen isn't smooth at all..plus it's not smart at all. the Aino's shape: the phone is really slim with a smart art to make it with this size & with these specifications...when u compare it wid other phones with the same specifications...u'll know wut i'm talkin about...the white color of it is very stylish...the black is very elegant..a piece of art the touch screen: some say it's limited...i say it's not...may be u can't dial or send a sms with it but when u can take photos, go through all ur media, answer-mute-open loud speaker-cancel the calls, with the opera mini 5 surf the net with only the touch-screen & a QWERTY keys on the screen & that all plus the applications which is compatible with the Aino..most of them work by touch...like nimbuzz, ebuddy, UEFA app 2 follow the championship matches & many other..4 me that's more than enough. E-mailing: u can esily set up ur e-mail account on the Aino unlike before & start send/receive ur e-mails on refresh rate of ur choice plus the Push E-mail service is working but only with the my gmail (not wid hotmail)...plus multiple sharing options using SyncML & Exchange ActiveSync using these 2 share & sync ur info with ur pc & other devices. the battery life: many ppl talk about it...i'll tell u my experience with it....one day there's only in the battery 20% & i had a travel for 150KM that is one & half hours ....i connected it with the BT headset which i connect it to my car by the 3.5mm in it listening to my music all the way...plus i made a couple of calls & it stayed with me all the way till i got home. is that a bad battery?? 4 me it's a powerful one...in general it can stay for more than 1 day with minimal use & with maximal use (calls - wifi - bt connection- play some music)it can stay for 1 day(13-15 hours)..it has been improved a lot with 2 updates released by SE. the output sound quality: when u connect the Aino 2 SE PC suite...it'll read it as Walkman phone...so the quality is unquestionable i guess...it's really amazing with many equalizers 2 choose between & Clear- bass�, Clear stereo� , Sense ME� & Mega Bass�. the BT headset & the Stand charger: the BT headset is a whole new experience for music lovers..this set is amazing...wut can be better than enjoyin ur music wireless & u don't have to keep it beside u or holding it with an astonishing sound quality...plus it got a 3,5mm which means u can connect it 2 a stereo & play ur music..connect it 2 ur car stereo..connect large headphones...all of this wireless. abt it's battery...i connect it every day i go out with ma car...i play music all my way..for hours...& it stays for DAYS..3-4days & maybe more in cold weather cuz the hot weather weaken the battery...i'm in love with this set. the stand charger is also a cool accessory..u plug the charger 2 it & u can also connect the usb 2 ur pc in same time plus u can connect it by wifi...& watchin movies when its plugged in it is very amusing. the 8.1MP HD cam: it's not a cyber-shot but it still a SE cam with almost all the specs of the cyber-shot...outstanding shots at day light more than dim light or darkness cuz of the LED flash but still will satisfy u. video recording (nHD) is amazin with very smooth playback. internet connection: HSDPA, 7.2 Mbps; HSUPA, 2 Mbps Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, DLNA...really fast with good coverage. that plus its satellite connection for the location service Google maps - tracker - navigation)was a surprise for me 2 find it that fast. the remote play (for PS3): u can stay connected connected with ur PS3 xmb menu wherever u go using wifi or 3G connection & enjoy all the media u save on it..really amusin & it's like u have a 60 or 80 Gb phone. the applications: Facebook..Twitter.. you-tube...Accuweather. all of these apps will make u stay connected & updated all the time..as of course u can download many other compatible apps. i used before many nokia phones, plus the K750i, K810i & many other phones i put ma hands on through my friends the Aino now...it's the best phone i had put ma hands on..best for Entertainment..for Business...for communication...very recommended. for those who bought it ...enjoy...for those who didn't ..u r missing a lot

Go For Aino...i highly recommend it for u & for everyone...i've put ma hands on many phones before..nokia & SE K750,K810...& now The Aino...one of the best i've put ma hands on...& comparing it wid other phones,it really satisfies me. Aino's cam 8.1MP is of course better than hazel(5MP)..it captures HD pics & nHD(near HD) videos with very very high quality..ppl complain about just cuz they can't adjust the cam settings right 2 the environment (place..light..focusing..etc). u must have the media go software & let the media go adjust the sense me mood to all the songs in u library..it'll do it automatically...then when u transfer ur songs 2 ur phone..the songs mood will be already adjusted to each one

Hi Isya, To continue with what Michel said...Yes Its is a great phone from all the aspects. The sound quality on the hands-free/headphones out run any phones. The display is vivid vibrant colors make it brilliant. The Camera output is really great if you have the right settings. Wi5 great it connects very quick. Browsing with opera 5.1 is simply outstanding. The out speaker is loud and clear. I never seen a well designed mobile phone like this in my life. It looks great in your hand. As you mentioned "OLD USER" yes it used to hang sometimes and the touch screen too was irresponsible. But have you asked any new user? Yes the updated version has got that all sorted out. No hanging and the capacitive touch screen works like a gem. If you press it hard it wont work when you get used to it you will know how easily it to operate the touch screen. For me the touch works even before I actually touch it...amazing you know! Thats what capacitive touch screens meant for. hi quem! its very hard to choose for someone i dont know well. but to tell you the truth, since i had the W995 for almost a year and the aino for only 2 months, i feel more excited in AINO & i am going to discard my 995 in favor of the aino. WHY?? because i'm on the camera side. aino produces more natural, vivid and crisper pics/videos. i can edit them anytime on my computer anyway. and it looks more elegant in anyone's hand whether male/female user. If your purpose is for a GOOD PHONE, CAMERA & MUSIC go for AINO!!

It does support videocall, but yes, it does not have a secondary camera, so you would simply have to use a mirror for the person on the other end to see your face while you see their face on the phone's screen.

i highly recommend the Aino...if its specifications fulfill ur needs & u like the mix between the touch & keypad,,,so don't listen 2 any other bad comments as before the updates SE released...after these updates the phone became perfect..& most probably u'll buy it updated already..u also have to consider the good opinions as well The Aino when first released...the box contained: BT headset with stand charger & 8Gb sd card Then SE released The Aino Classic w/ 2Gbsd card & without the Headset & the stand charger. why?? i don't know. hope i could help

Hey Kay, the camera quality is excellent (it is after all, an 8.1 megapixel camera), and yes it can zoom, both while taking the picture and then when you view the picture. As far as I know, it doesn't have sepia editing, but it does have flash, portrait, twilight, sports, landscape, and a few other photo settings. The touchscreen facility goes as far as your media such as pictures, music, videos, and camera. However, if you download Opera Mini, you can also browse a lot of websites with touchscreen too. As for the color, they say white is more for the females, but is harder to come by. The black is professional, but the white is mad. It's like shower gel vs soap bars... in the end it's the same quality. I, myself bought it recently (in black), and I can advise you to go for it. It's an absolutely brilliant phone, not only for the price, but a brilliant phone period. And you can expect great user-friendliness as Sony Ericsson does so well. Hope this helped

Hey Michael, Recently, my touchscreen stopped working (doesn't respond to any kind of touch) and when I slide the phone closed, the screen refuses to turn off anymore. (Usually, if i closed it, it would go to "sleep" after a few seconds of showing the clock). It seems you mistakenly understood. It is the navigation key. For better understandings press * -> right navigation key(once) -> again * -> left navigation key(twice) -> again * -> left navigation key(once) -> again * Now you can have access to those settings. From accessing these settings you can know all about any SE phone (useful if you buy a 2nd hand phone)

hi quem! since i've been using both phones, i'll share some specs of both. FORM: both are slide phones. WHEN CLOSED, aino is limited to its multi media functions operated through touch; can answer/mute calls. W995 can open any files, multi media, read/delete messages, browse internet using the outer keys. WHEN SLIDE IS OPEN, they have the same functions. keypad on aino is a little cramped but is easy to get used to it SOUNDS: they have the same walkman ver 4. so it's superb specially with headset on. W995 have 3.5 jack. without headset, W995 is louder becoz it has 2 speakers. PICTURES: AINO has clearer pics than W995 and have more realistic color. resolution is superb than W995. editing wise, W995 have the complete SE editing functions. aino have only photo fix & black & white VIDEOS: AINO wins over W995 coz its VGA. W995 is only WQVGA. its more pleasant to view videos in aino than W995. AGAIN!! EDITING WISE, W995 beats aino. there are more editing/viewing functions in W995. aino has none. CAMERA: although both claims it has 8mp, aino has better cam than W995 with regards to resolution. but W995 has more camera settings e.g. bestpic, red-eye, smile shutter, etc. OTHERS: internal memory AINO-55mb, W995-115mb; the pop-up of pics in messaging in missing in aino. so you have to open to know who's sending msg. both have same speed on browsing; both can manage 16gig external memory; both are durable; both are attractive whether male/female user. but aino is more feminine in white than W995 in red. and more elegant in its black version than the 995. i hope this might be a little help on your querry

Hi Michael (or anyone else that can help), I recently bought the Aino, and i would just like to know how do I connect it to my USB port without it charging cause I don't wanna fry the battery (just like to be on the safe side). By "Set default mode" I tried to put it on USB mem. device cause apparently that's how one does it, but then it didn't connect to the PC and told me to restart my phone or something... appreciate the help. As we all know sliding type phones wont last long.But AFAIK I have never heard anyone complaining about AINO's slide anywhere on the internet. Living with AINO for more than a month I never faced anything. And my slide open count goes 3500 so far but still the same smooth moving. I hope there wont be any problem in the future too

Yes it does support MP3 ringtones. You can access it from the menu...Organiser-> Filemanager -> Music -> You will have all your music files here..select the one that you want as your ringtone...then options-> use us -> ringtone

I bought the Aino in the month of may 2010.....The device has NOT disappointed me at all....It is a very cool phone....It has the most unique design of all and is the best multimedia phone... Music quality is just superb....and the bluetooth headset's battery life is just too good!!.......I bought the luminous white colour....because the black does not look that attractive... The phone takes pretty long time to settle afer switching on.....video quality is just superb....camera is the best if u know hw to click with the correct settings........ When u r on a call, the voice clarity is not that good...but best on the MH100 (bluetooth headset)....The music player ( Walkman 4.0) is just too good....it looks amazing....Overall, the phone is a POWER BOMB!!! If u have the money...go for it..it wont disappoint u!!

hey Aaron, it's related in most of the time to the router settings...just restarting the router sometimes fix it...& if ur phone can't connect u may be have 2 adjust the advanced settings according to the router settings ( IP address, subnet mask, gateway..etc.) this should fix it...

Mobile is freezing when saving photos onto memory card and when it eventually starts working all data from the memory card goes missing. We've formatted the memory card which we just purchased (we thought the old one had become corrupted) but the problem persists. Same thing is happening with a Sony T715 purchased recently. yes i tried it before...& i found that the caller can see the street & of course can't see me as the rear cam was on during the call...& when she wanted 2 c me i turned the phone to be viewed by the rear cam & of course i couldn't see her...i.e u can see the caller or the caller see u but u can't see each other at the same time..it's so frustrating & weird... i read a comment from someone tried 2 use a mirror 2 solve this problem but i din't try that.

@micheal. thnx. ok. will do. one more question. i only rescently started to notice that when i play back music on my phone, on some songs, it will stop midway, and give me an error message. any reason for that? ok, make that 2. i listen to the radio 24/7 thats why i love my headphones so much. the only shlep is when i receive a call, the person on the other end complains that i am unclear, especially when i am outside, cos i'm using the headset. is there a quick way to disconnect the bluetooth connection when i get a call, so i can answer my call the normal way? hope that all makes sense.

the Aino's screen is embedded a little bit deep in its frame & that provide some protection for it unlike the other phones at which the screen has no any frames. plus my aino fell down a couple of times & thank God nothin happens 2 the screen...but the frame get hurt a little.

hey zorro, at first when i bought the phone i thought that cam wasn't as i expected...but i was sure that something is wrong wid the use & not the cam... first u have to set the cam to the right settings according to the environment...yes u can put everything in auto but that won't do it...for example: if u r shooting someone in a dim light..u have to set it to portrait twilight & turn the face detector...& u can turn off the flash or turn it on acc to the environment..plus u have to make ur wrist still & not shakin cuz it doesn't have an image stabilizer (but it has video stabilizer)...& u have to check somethin very imp that'll help u a lot i guess go to menu--entertainment--photo mate & download the tips..it'll help adapt on the cam & know everything about it

hey jerry, the Aino officially (by SE) can take up to 32Gb SD MC...so i think when u put the 16gb it'll be as smooth as it's wid u now...i hope u update ur phone before u go for it..& for 2 make sure ur aino remain fast...delete ur calls log from time 2 time as well as for the sent messages.restart once everyday or everytime u recharge it..& the applications u better save it on the memory card...these things will keep ur phone fast yes deleting the chinese opera mini app is enough when u delete u uninstall it in the same time.

Aakash, are you serious? The sound quality on the headset is really great man. I'm using the latest updated one and it never sucks. I tested myself the sound clarity with some of my friends who are using wave, jet, w995, and AINO beat it all. And no any problem so far hope there wont be any. May be its the fault with your update processing....

I own this phone and I hate it!! i mean it was all awesome in the beginning but it sucks now... especially after the software update!! i mean its stable and all.. but the cam app automatically closes on its own and sometimes only a part of the recorded clip is saved and the volume of the music is decreased to really bad. hey michael! its me again, jerry! just want to ask if this aino will run smoothly on 16G? coz the mc card in it is only 2G. you see to tell you honestly, compared to my prevous SE phones (k800, c901, w995) this aino is a little slow but, compared to nokia, aino is fast. so i'm just wondering if it will run slower or will not change if i put 16G on it. do we have a software i can install for aino that can EDIT PICS & VIDS? most important - how to UN-INSTALL APPLICATIONS? The Aino isn't a full touch-screen phone u can't dial or send a sms (w/QWERTY) with it but u can take photos, go through all ur media, answer-mute-open loud speaker-cancel the calls, with the opera mini 5 surf the net with only the touch-screen & a QWERTY keys on the screen & that all plus the applications which is compatible with the Aino..most of them work by touch...like nimbuzz, ebuddy, UEFA app 2 follow the championship matches & many other.. so if u r looking for full touch screen phone u have 2 take a look at the satiou, vivaz or the xperia

hey Hari, u r welcome....u have 2 make sure of couple of things... 1.make sure u put the settings in the USB internet access to connect "via computer". 2.make sure that ur pc is connected to the net (before u plug it) 3. make sure u switch off the wi-fi & i'll be honest wid u...sometimes it doesn't work wid me but the best way 2 connect is by wi-fi.

u can't adjust or remove it...it takes only sec & it lock the touchscreen...but it's not about lockin it's about that the screen does show me the option 2 call again very single time the no. is busy or no answer..& it gives much time 2 decide.....u should first put the slide to not 2 end call when closed & update ur phone software if u didn't...& wut i'm tryin 2 say...THERE IS the option 2 redial through the touchSCREEN.

i guess? i quite love my aino..it's more about what features you need in a phone. this phone is geared towards media loving people but i only seem to use the music player the most..the camera is not too bad, but when u zoom to the max it gets a bit grainy, but mostly the high talktime and high music playing hours are a plus for me, compared to most smartphones nowadays. In addition, it seems to be the only phone around that sports a full touch screen with a hidden numeric keypad. Cant get this design elsewhere. Companies assume that people only like full touch screens or qwerty keypads..

hey jerry, abt the firmware updates...yes SE released 2 updates...but most of stores sell it now updated....but IF u didn't get it updated, YES IT'S VERY IMP 2 update it & it's simple as the other SE...& when u r gonna update it ..u'll receive the latest update only which is enough 2 improve ur phone... the 8.1MP HD cam: it's not a cyber-shot but it still a SE cam with almost all the specs of the cyber-shot...outstanding sharp HD shots at day light more than dim light or darkness cuz of the LED flash but still will satisfy u. video recording (nHD) is amazin with very smooth playback. but let me tell u something...the 12,1 MP cam od the satiou is a powerful cam but the software (symbian)which different, not smart...full of problems (lags & hangs a lot...touch not smooth at all...NB these r not my words) but a powerful cam...so u decide...hope i could help

hi michael! seems ur the authority here re: AINO! and i'll be having my aino classic in a few days from HK after a year of drooling for it. i'm a SE phone user ever since. k750, k800, c901 & w995. I'm more of a camera phone person and i'm not satisfied with the camera of the w995. i just hope that the AINO has better pic/video versus the w995 or can i say better or at par with the 901?? may i also ask the PROPER WAY TO UPGRADE? how many times you must upgrade? (i've read that there are 2 firmwares available) should you upgrade the 1st firmware or should i go directly to the newer version? does it have the same simple upgrade like other SE phones?? i was the one who upgraded my 901 but it did not made any difference. just go to all to mp4 from sidebar then click output settings,then locate video size its on default click on default and erase it and put 432x240 and if u want video to run very smoothly change FPS to 30 and then ok...add file and convert..

if u put ur USB default mode in PC mode...so it's ok 2 unplug the usb without making a safely remove....BUT if ur put ur phone into USB memory device...so without safely remove the phone will be negatively affected as ur friend told u

Hey aino, the Bt headset just transmits the sound alert of incoming calls...it doesn't transmit messages sound alert..& that's normal.

Hi Michael, I just bought my aino last week and I have a problem redirecting the sound alerts of messages from the phone to the bluetooth headset. Is there anyway to do this? I've had one for almost a year now, and can only criticise the keyboard by being a tad too close to the bottom rim of the sliding pad. Excellent to the touch and the key bulges are just right, for my fingers anyway.

Camera quality is awesome...it records video as they are, takes pictures brilliantly. Who ever complaints about the camera quality get a life guys. During day time its perfect, even at night in well lighted place if you adjust the settings to portrait,it takes pictures like that of during day times. And while it is dim light adjust the settings to 'twilight (having mountain on the back) I love my aino )))BTW, No greenish pictures as with other low range SE mobiles....)

update ur phone software & if it's up to date...so try 2 reinstall the software by help of a pro...this issue is very strange to me & i recommend u also check other forums to know the reason behind this error or get help from SE support service.

the sound quality of this phone cannot be compared wid other phones...cuz it beats any other phone when it get 2 sound...just try it with Hpm 82 (for example) earphones or with BT headset MH 100 or MW 600 & check it again.

hey Aaron, about the youtube, u just need a high speed internet connection 2 view youtube videos on ur Aino...it happened wid me before & when i connected the phone 2 a wifi connection with high speed..i got the videos... about the videos why u want 2 convert them 2 432x240? the movies i got aren't in this resolution & i put them on the Aino & they just fit on landscape with full screen mode just needed 2 be im MP4 format.

Hi Michael! I have some problems with trackId. I run it om my Aino u10i classic, it records for some seconds then starts the browser and shows this message: TrackID(tm) is a Sony Ericsson and Gracenote service. hey Aaron, u r welcome. the MH 100 is apparently not in market...SE only release it with The Aino before the Aino classic was released...so there's the "MW 600" which is in market it's the same as the MH 100 BT headset with same quality & with a display which isn't in the MH100 ;)...it starts with 45 $. it worths it as it has 3.5mm jack which allow u to listen 2 ur music wid headphones or connect it 2 a stereo or a car stereo & hear as loud as u can.

i decided to repost this review on the Aino (from an 10 month owner) passing by all the questions have been asked 2 me... i bought the full gadget Aino...the one with the BT headset & stand charger plus 8GB micro SD MC.(now there's been an Aino classic with 2 GB MC & without the headset & the stand charger but all the same phone) i'll start with the software...it runs on Java..the well known SE smart OS...that's a huge benefit cuz it's very very smart among handling ur contacts, ur messages, the file manager, the BT connection,music arrangement with the album arts ,the 3G internet connection even the USB connection etc...all of this has been upgraded in this phone rather than the other older SE phones with more options to facilitate many many things for u as SE has merged the smart options of the K-series with the specs of the W-series which make it a unique SE phone...that beside it's fast, & esp. in the Aino the touch screen is very responsive & smooth & in the 8 months i remember it hangs only twice at first yes only twice... on the other hand when u put ur hands on a Symbian(i put ma hands on these phones) phone like for example the the nokia, some samsung phones & the satio & the vivaz...u'll know the difference..it hangs really a lot...very slow...the screen isn't smooth at all..plus it's not smart at all. the Aino's design: the phone is really slim with a smart art to make it with this size & with these specifications...when u compare it wid other phones with the same specifications...u'll know wut i'm talkin about...the white color of it is very stylish...the black is very elegant..a piece of art the touch screen:smooth..highly responsive & sensitive... some say it's limited...i say it's not...may be u can't dial or send a sms with it but when u can take photos, go through all ur media, answer-mute-open loud speaker-cancel the calls & recall,plus with the opera mini 5 surf the net with only the touch-screen & a QWERTY keys on the screen & that all plus the applications which is compatible with the Aino..most of them work by touch...like nimbuzz, ebuddy, UEFA app 2 follow the championship matches & many other..4 me that's more than enough. the battery life: many ppl talk about it...i'll tell u my experience with it....one day there's only in the battery 20% & i had a travel for 150KM that is one & half hours ....i connected it with the BT headset which i connect it to my car by the 3.5mm in it listening to my music all the way...plus i made a couple of calls & it stayed with me all the way till i got home. is that a bad battery?? 4 me it's a powerful one...in general it can stay for more than 1 day with minimal use & with maximal use (calls - wifi - bt connection- play some music)it can stay for 1 day(13-15 hours)..it has been improved a lot with 2 updates released by SE. the output sound quality: when u connect the Aino 2 SE PC suite...it'll read it as Walkman phone...so the quality is unquestionable i guess...it's really amazing with many equalizers 2 choose between & Clear- bass�, Clear stereo� , Sense ME� & Mega Bass�. the BT headset & the Stand charger: the BT headset is a whole new experience for music lovers..this set is amazing...wut can be better than enjoyin ur music wireless & u don't have to keep it beside u or holding it with an astonishing sound quality...plus it got a 3,5mm which means u can connect it 2 a stereo & play ur music..connect it 2 ur car stereo..connect large headphones...all of this wireless. abt it's battery...i connect it every day i go out with ma car...i play music all my way..for hours...& it stays for DAYS..3-4days & maybe more in cold weather cuz the hot weather weaken the battery...i'm in love with this set. the stand charger is also a cool accessory..u plug the charger 2 it & u can also connect the usb 2 ur pc in same time plus u can connect it by wifi...& watchin movies when its plugged in it is very amusing. the 8.1MP HD cam: it's not a cyber-shot but it still a SE cam with almost all the specs of the cyber-shot...outstanding shots at day light more than dim light or darkness cuz of the LED flash but still will satisfy u. video recording (nHD) is amazin with very smooth playback. internet connection: HSDPA, 7.2 Mbps; HSUPA, 2 Mbps Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, DLNA...really fast with good coverage. that plus its satellite connection for the location service Google maps - tracker - navigation)was a surprise for me 2 find it that fast. the remote play (for PS3): u can stay connected connected with ur PS3 xmb menu wherever u go using wifi or 3G connection & enjoy all the media u save on it..really amusin & it's like u have a 60 or 80 Gb phone the applications: Facebook..Twitter.. you-tube...Accuweather. all of these apps will make u stay connected & updated all the time..as of course u can download many other compatible apps. i used before many nokia phones, plus the K750i, K810i & many other phones i put ma hands on through my friends the Aino now...it's the best phone i had put ma hands on..best for Entertainment..for Business...for communication...very recommended. for those who bought it ...enjoy...for those who didn't ..u r missing a lot

hey Aaron, congratulation...good 2 know that u like its sound quality... ok i look up in the net for ur question cuz i have the MH 100 BT headset & didn't try the earphones... i found many ppl recommending the HPM 82...cuz the play/pause control integrated in the set. and it looks much better but it's more expensive ...some say the quality is better & some say it's the same !!!..& u have 2 make sure that's its compatible wid the Aino before u buy it...for me..i totally recommend the BT headset (yes it's expensive) but it's an amazin device wid high vol & quality sound..a new experience. hope i could help.

hey Sam, u welcome....i'm sure ur phone now will be just perfect after u updated it.... any phone get slow when u fill up the Phone memory up to its limits. for the memory card it's recommended to leave at least about 10% of it empty for better performance.

hey sam...i owned the Aino 10 months ago...i experienced lags & hangs BEFORE the release of the 2 updates by SE...after that the phone is workin perfect wid me...& i rlly mean it...no hangs or lags...the batt improved...the touch improved every things is just workin well... u should try 2 erase ur calls log and/or ur sent messages....plus restart it every day just once...that should make it faster..i hope i could help

I have been using Aino for over 10 months and from performance perspective, this is by far the worst phone I ever had. It's sluggish and it hangs very often.. I need to update the service at least once a month to get the phone quicker. I am surprised to see that not many people are reporting this issue. Is it really as good as the review (Performance - 8.5) says? Or is it an overrated one? My intention behind asking this question is to understand if there is any manufacturing glitch in my handset or is it general. Would appreciate your experience and the comments to my question. hey Alamir, u said it works well in the elevator & even at work...& u only complain about it when u r home....so i think the signal at ur home is weak. and yes it's normal when u hold it or when u move the signal keep changing in strength...& if u didn't find any signal..just restart the phone...it's normal as long as the phone gets a full 3G signal in other places other than ur home.

Hi Michael, I want to say that in my home is it two or one bar,however 95% of time, I recive signal, only two times I found there is no signal at all. compared to samsung Omnia Pro, samsung has more signal. the strange thing, that when I put it in my pocket, it works even in elevator and in my work, it works well (does interacting with body makes signal better?). the strange thing that when I hold it, the signal varies, somtimes it gets up and sometimes it drops one signal .. is this normal? Please answer me as I am thinking to send it to service center. Also I am asking, what if I purchase a cover for it, will this improve the signal performance, make it lower or no difference? when i talk about The battery life...i should consider the phone's specifications...high specifications..the battery will last for max. with minimal use(22-24 hours) ..low specifications...the battery can last for days. my experience wid the Aino's batt..only 20% left in the batt. & i had a travel for 150KM that is one & half hours ....i connected it with the BT headset which i connect it to my car by the 3.5mm in it listening to my music all the way...plus i made a couple of calls & it stayed with me all the way till i got home. is that a bad battery?? 4 me it's a powerful one...in general it can stay for more than 1 day(24hrs) with minimal use & with max. use (calls - wifi - BT connection- net surfing - gaming)it can stay for 13-15 hrs.

hey Alamir, the signal strength depend on many things...ur operator network strength, ur location (if underground or in an elevator) or simply in an area which is not covered well by ur network...for me when i'm home the signal isn't full 3G but when i go out 2 different places i find it full 3G..& also in some places i find it weak..so try 2 see the signal strength in different places...plus make sure u updated ur phone 2 the latest update.

hey Michelle, that was also one of the main reasons i bought this amazing phone cuz it's not a full touchscreen. yes u can access all ur media & the gallery using the keypad as other SE phones...but for the camera u can't use the keypads...u can only use the touch screen & the shooting button plus the volume buttons for zooming on the side of the phone.

hey girlie...i can't guarantee u that when u buy it u'll find it updated already (most probably u'll find it updated)...but u can simply check it ur self when u r there at the shop..go 2 settings - general - update software - software version - if it's "R7BA084" so it's updated 2 the latest one...& if it's not...update it.
