Very disappointed. Ran reliably for about twelve months, then started noticing the battery level / reliability fading away. Now two years old, having to restart it almost everyday because it goes into crazy mode, slows down / jambs. It will even go into crazy mode / jamb straight after having been charged. Should have stuck with Samsung. Sad part is, I went with this phone because of having been very happy with my Experience tablet, very happy with that, but the phone is just an exercise in frustration.

I have my e4 I think for more than 2 years now. There are a couple of problems I have with it, 1. speakers got really bad, like things that are loud sound bad with them. 2. they say it has 8 GB of internal space but really when I check with file commander how much space there is in internal storage it shows no more than 4,8 GB. 3. Camer quality not really great 4. sometimes when someone calls me I hear sound but I can't answer because the phone is thinking for couple seconds or smth. 5. and it doesn't show apps that I have on SD Card sometimes right know, I don't know if that is phones fault at least in file commander app it recognizes that i have a sd card in phone. 6. It shows that i don't have space on phone and so i have to do junk file cleaning very often. Pluses 1. to me it seemed like not very expensive.

This Sony is a decent phone. It's from 2015, so don't expect a lot from it. The camera (5mpx) is really blurry, and the front camera is, of course, blurry. The memory can't handle a lot of apps either. But it has the AR mode, which is really funny. But not really useful. Just for fun. The android version is 4.4.4, and not upgradeable. In 2015, it was good, I guess.

I dont know why but ive had this phone for 2 years and the problem goes like this i charge my phone to like say 80% and pull the charger out like 30minutes later my phone dies on me and i am not even flat battery or under15% this is such a pain in the butt.

Had this phone since December 2015 and just over an hour ago the battery drained out very quickly even though I was charging it with a USB cable connected to my computer. It's still connected. Observations so far: -The famous red light isn't blinking, it's just still and will only turn off if I disconnect my Xperia E4 from the USB. -Every time I press the start button it starts blinking in a very unnoticeable way every second, with the red light still on. The screen is the only thing that blinks. I really don't know what to do, but as a review of this phone: it will usually start getting bad after 5 months after having it. Thanks and I hope someone knows what is this all about, I have many many important things in there.

I've been using the phone for more than a year now and it has been a very faithful companion. It still runs as quick as it did when I first bought it, I've dropped it a few times and it still looks like it's brand new, and the battery life's still pretty good for me. I've never played any games on it, but I've been using it for web-browsing, music/video/photos via Sony's apps, and obviously phonecalls and messages, and it works like a charm. Would absolutely go for another Sony phone in the future.

check whether you running out of storage... clear catch(settings>storage>catch) get rid of unwanted apps... even latest facebook app as its too heavy for 1gb ram(try opera browser for facebook its smooth and cool).. I think it will solve ur problem...

using for last 746 day... played many games even modern combat 5(some frame drops though bt playable), its actually e4 dual... (using single sim last 7/8months as dual sim draining much of juice also sometimes making network issue)... battery life yet good 4hr SOT on 9-10hrs use(networking, facebooking) camera not so good, front facing camera good... music quality specially headphone and my micolab speaker is really great :) overall happy.. want to buy another sony device if sony bring larger battery...

Oh right I bought this phone like 1,5 years ago and its sound quality has gone really bad and its power button doesn't work. I use app to lock unlock this phone right now. Camera quality is quite bad too. But when it comes to overall performance I m quite satisfied for the price.

Absolutely HATE it, I would not recommend this phone, I've had mind for over a year now and it's ridiculously slow. Sending texts is a nightmare and trying to receive calls is worse, it sits on a blank screen until it reaches voice-mail and I gave to ring whoever rang me back. And half the time I have the hold down the power button just to pull up the lock screen! I feel so cheated by Sony. I wish I had my Alcatel back. Save your money, any phone is better then this

Decent phone for that money. It has problems with turning back on after battery drain. It goes on and off for some time, until it stores enough power to boot properly. It also can have problems with storage, there is a bug bug when it downloads codec for every new video seen/received by Viber/Whatsapp... Camera is slow and bad. Battery is excellent, in ultra stamina mode it lasts forever. (I think it can go on for about 30 days, but i didnt actually tried it, since it shuts down everything else but msgs and calls). There is also a problem with making groups of people in your phonebook and assigning them a melody.

The battery management system is very poor. I've had it about a year and mostly on the charger with only modest use and the battery capacity is down to around 5% of original. Not only is that awful but the BMS is so poor that it doesn't adapt the scale to the battery capacity. It just powers off when it reaches 94/95%. That is to say, only 5% discharged, not 5% remaning. And it just shuts down. The battery warning is at 15% and 4% but the battery dies at 95! fucking incompetent idiots. I get that it's a low cost phone but there is no excuse for such an amateur mistake. Otherwise the phone is fine for the price. The cameras are low quality but that's fair for a 100$ phone. The phone is not fast but again, fair for the price. Decent display, works fairly well but the BMS is very poorly done.

First of all the touch screen gets worse in like 5-7 months of use. Then me personally I like the apple headphones but the head phone jack on the E4 is dreadful, I have push down on the cable very hard for it to work, and for people who get angry easily (like me) this is not the phone for you,side note I've used it for a year and can't wait to move to a different phone.

Guys, pls is this phone okay? Does it perform well compared to samsung galaxy j2, lenovo A1000, A2010 and A5000? Put the operating system software aside, judge by it's performances. This phone can be updated to 6.0 no only lollipop but sony is too st...d, if sony m2 can receive 2 updates (which isn't powerful as sony e4/g I mean performance) and e4/g can receive. The other reason is that sony e1 was updated too -just one update but as I said is was updated doesn't matter that receive only 1. If sony decided to update from first phone (e series) then why sony stopped? P.S I have and others had picture of ajuda xperia at fb. They tell to fb users that sony e4,e3,e4g will skip lollipop and directly be updated to marshmallow, (table of all smartphones) but after some hours they deleted, but we capture screenshot.. I have the phone 6 months and im not satisfied with the phone. The advantages:it has fallen many times and it doesn't have even a scratch.The battery its really long , you can use it easily two days and with ultra stamina almost two weeks!!! Dissadvantages: it laggs badly and two of the times i couldnt even open it.The camera its not good , but the front its doing something. Moreover you need like 6 sec to shout every time!!! The worst is when it has blackout then the flashlight open and its so annoying. Seriously sony here you made a big mistake and hope to make better phones because i was a fan of you and now im not.

What is really strange and odd in the case of this smartphone is the below-average camera, sony is well-known for making the best cameras and even this is a budget smartphone,they should have equipped it with a better camera. Secondly, there is no lollipop update for the e4 until now????!!. seriously Sony why is that??. i have to say that the e4 is a nice phone despite its issues, issues that could be major to certain users especially the quality of the images taken with the rear camera. personally i found it a good budget phone but not what i expected from sony and that what made me shift to Asus zenfone 2, it's the real meaning of the word (budget).

Almost any game works on this phone. I have played clash of clana on this device. Clash of clans even works on 4 year old devices. I even played FIFA 16 on the e4. Even iPhone 5 and Sony m2 can't play it.

About lolipop or marshmallow. They will update both phone, this and e4g.When?Usually Sony company update smartphones after 1 year (those phones will get updates till summer ends).I read that m4 aqua which is the same mid range like sony e4-g that will skip lolipop and directly to be update to marshmallow. What this means? Well it means that all sony smartphones which are released previous year will skip lolipop.. Just we must be patient as a said till summer ends.. Greetings

A brilliant phone with a magnificent battery life. People try to compare this little guy with high end phones which is completely bull. If you have less amount of money but still want to go for a fairly good phone with good specs, i think this is the best phone. The only improvement i would like to see is the back camera. If the back cam was atleast 8M that would have added some more quality to the phone. All in all very good phone. 100% satisfied and strongly recommended. Thanks!

I bought this phone yesterday as a payg up grade Purley to use as a spare phone because I have galaxy s4 mini on contract which is going on a little holiday to Samsung for some TLC 😊 anyway when the Sony arrived yesterday I opened box when I got home later that day. I thought wow I luv the wallpaper it's pretty cool. so i just had a play with it see what's what ect. before sticking my sim in. then later that eve I thought right I better take the plastic cover of the screen now that was part of its packaging then I was shocked to see that the nice wallpaper I admired earlier with squirley lines here n there was the damn screen cracked !! so i called carphone warehouse today and u can take it to my local store tomorrow and I'm gonna get it replaced...

Always had sony phones but sadly, wont be go back. Sadly my phone overheated so much i had to return it. Also was not able to block numbers. Camera took great photos in good light but the quality of photos taken in poor lighting was pathetic. Charging cable was way too short.

I have to disagree with on multiple counts, concerning your mini "review" of the E4. First of all I have this phone for over 6 months, and overall its a good phone in its price range, maybe the best, but comparing it with Note 2 and 3 is just ridiculous, and I think you didnt even own those phones, and if you did you would never downgrade to E4. But samsung core phones, I can believe that, but it doesnt even come close to note series. Camera on this phone is barely average, in low light it produces very bad photos and videos, even in the daytime it doesnt shine in that department, there is always some yellowish tint in the photos and noticable granulation even with very steady hand, the flash is more useful as a flashlight than for taking pictures. My 2,5 years old LG L9 has a one class better camera performance, the front camera is ok. Display is also very average, but its a 5 incher, so its ok overall, nothing to whine about in that department. Voice calling loudness and quality is on the better side but only after you turn on clear phase and other sound enhancers, which use a bit more battery juice, which is not good, but its only loud enough, far from "outstanding" as you said. Phone's software performance is pretty stable, but I noticed that when using some apps like swi.tkey, it tends to slowdown, but not that much. Another thing i dont like in all sony phones is that you CAN NOT change the order of the homescreens in the helicopter view, and on this model you dont even have anywhere to see the total call time(s) of the phone, which is very weird and immature from sony, there is no usb otg also. And did I mention there is no LP update in sight in near future, how about that? Only things that are really commendable are the battery, the audio (music reproduction) quality of the device, LED notification and the STAMINA mode, so there you go, an objective view of the phone, not some fanboy's view. It's worth the money you spend on it, that's all, faaaar from outstanding.

I used Note 3, 2, grand prime, core prime and j series phone of samsung. First time i brought sony phone and i would like to tell you that this phone is amazing. Voice quality is outstanding and who can compete sony in display. Touch is highly sensitive. Camera is very good I would suggest to buy this model rather than buying Samsung J1, J2 even J5, grand prime, core prime and other cheap quality phones. Another good thing i observed in this phone is that you only need to close the app and your RAM will be free. No need to install RAM cleaner and boosters like samsung. And yes Handsfree is also very good I never saw samsung providing such a good quality charging cable even with S4, 5, 6. I am a basic user. i use my phone for Whatsapp, Mail, Viber, Skype,Facebook, youtube and some News applications. 10/10 for this phone. Sony you r best.

I really hope that someone can help me. So I have Sony Xperia e4 for like a month and everything was perfect untill one week ago when alarms stopped working. In the beggining i didn't realize that and i thought that i am just sleeping deep and i don't hear them one day i decided to try the alarms out and i set an alarm for 10:00 and the time was 09:59 i waited a minute and when she passed the alarm still didn't rang and i pushed the power button and even without unlocking the phone the alarm rang but it already was 10:02. Oh man, this phone is brilliant. Battery life is brilliant (I get betweet 5-7 hours of SOT, which depends on phone usage), touch response after the update is great, glass used resists scratches wonderfully, though drops can be dangerous. Phone is smooth overall, never got any restarts, stable throughout. Cameras are average at best. I hate it's back cover - it's very slippery and receives scratches instantly. Screen is ok - acceptable viewing angles, has yellowish tint, which can be fixed when messing up with color balance settings. I/O performance is really great, multitasking is good enough. I now have tons of apps installed and have no problems with responsiveness. Good buy for 129 euros.

J2 has android lollipop 5.1.1 which is a newer version than E4 android kitkat. J2 has otg support as well. but i hear J2 has a serious network issue. J2 probably has a slightly better display as it is amoled. but performance wise and other specs both devices are identical. i have to say almost all games work without lags on E4. i advice u to use both devices before buying. core prime is too inferior to compare with these 2 devices.

Very hard to believe we will get an update. Sony never updated a mediatek device. But mediatek devices like m5/c4/c5 ultra are on the list to get Marshmallow. I believe sony might extend the Marshmallow update to Z1 and xperia T3.but i have no idea about e4/4g. Even if we get an update it will be like next year august, by that time the next e generation phone will be out. So it is highly unlikely we will get an update. But i wish we get a direct update to Marshmallow because it is more stable than lollipop. But kitkat is better than lollipop. So enjoy,at present E4/4g performs better than m4 aqua on gaming. I don't like sound quality of this phone and it's not loud, call quality and earphone quality is fine. Rear camera takes good photos but when we zoom the photo, we cannot see clear image. front camera quality is fine. no hanging issues, applications works well. back cover fitting has a problem as well. this phone, I rate 3 stars.

Lollipop update is expected to come on December (a clerk from Sony said so). Touch sensitivity issue has been fixed with the latest software release. Internal storage is supposed to be 8GB, but half of that memory is allocated to the system and it's bits and bobs, so that's why only ~4 GB is available to the end user.

My e4 heats to about 52 celcius. It is completely normal. For the first 2 months the phone will heat.but i notice it doesn't heat much anymore. Even while using Internet i don't feel much heat. Well phones like m4 aqua /z3+ have heated to about 65/70 celcius. So don't worry. I personally felt the m4 is an oven compared to the e4. If you are using the phone for playing games. Give the phone a rest once in every 20 minutes.

I think xperia e4 is better than s3 mini because it is 2 years new.E4 just got released in April. Plus it runs kitkat. S3 mini i think has jellybean or ics.i also encourage you should try to buy a Samsung J5 or moto G 2015 If possible. Neither did they about thr z and the m2 at the beginning. M2 received lollipop about a year after its release. Sony announces 6.0 for the flagships first, and after they're done with updating them they will come to models such as e4 e3 and e4g. 5.1.1 will never come though, but there is now a custom version of lollipop which is at early development stage coming to the e4 (not e4g) 6.0 will come but be patient, and mid 2016 will be my guess.

Both of them are going to skip lollipop and directly upgraded to marshmallow 6.0, just like the t3 which is also skipping lollipop. Same story for e4g but it could take a while for sony to build 64-bit software for the device (kitkat doesn't support 64-bit but 5 and 6 does.)

Dude it is an android kitkat device. It obviously supports whatsapp. And probably will be supported for the next 3 years.whatsapp still works on 2011 devices. Camera is of average quality. I got this phone yesterday and I love it. I watched many reviews, where it was blaimed for having an underpowered SOC. It's not the case. This phone is very smooth and quick, multitasking is being done in an eyeblink, display is great looking and big enough for comfy typing, touch sensitivity is wonderful, it has Sony brand (that ensures great support and Lollipop update), though camera quality is questionable (selfie one is good enough). What's even more impressive is the battery life and build quality. It feels like a premium device in the hand, but from the distance it looks much smaller than it actually is. For 129 euros, it's a bargain. By the way. all the games I've tried ran beautifully in high settings. No problems, whatsoever.

Display - e3 has a slightly more vivid display than e4 and also e1.but the dimensions of the display make e3 look ugly.massive bezels. personally to tell the truth e4 has a better homescreen layout than even m4,although it is qhd. sunlight legebility is same as e1.also there is a yellow tint on the e4 display. which is noticeable only on white backgrounds. 2. performance-e3 is powered by a snapdragon 400 .e4 by a chinease mediatek chipset.mediatek is not bad.both have same performance. I faced no lags so far on the e4. 3.GPU-capable of running normal games.even highend games like Gta sandandreas works fine on both phones. 4.storage- i would recommend the e4 as it has 4.8 GB of usable storage on first boot.while e3 has only 1.7 GB. 5. camera- e4 has a 5mp f/2.6 rear camera.and 2mp f/2.8.the camera is better than both both e3 and e1. i dont know how because f value is much more smaller in e3 and e1. samsung s6 has f/1.9 an sony m4 and z3+ f/2, e1 f/2.5 lens. e4 has good pics in night with flash and withthought flash.but daytime pics didn't have good colors and detail compared to lumia 530.it is ofcourse better than than e3 and e1. 6. if you want you can update e3 to lollipop via custom rom.but e4 will not be upgradable to lollipop because of the mediatek cpu. 7.battery -e4 has better battery life than e3 alteast on paper.I am not impressed with battery life i feel both e4 and e1 has same battery life.but gsm arena says 59h endurance rating for e1 and 88h endurance rating for e4.and e3 67h endurance rating. well both phones take more than 2.5 hours for full charge 0-100%. 8.design- e4 looks like a lumia and a galaxy phone as it is curved.but e3 looks like the z3.but crappy and ugly screen dimensions on e3.if e3 had smaller bezels and an 4.6inch screen i would have bought it over the e4. e4 also looks cheap.e3 looks grand and expensive. other facts- you will definitely have to buy a tempered glass protector for e4 as i have seen screen cracks even on minor falls on youtube.and e4 is slippery. i think it is better use both phones before buying. i cant really tell to buy either.both have strengths and weaknesses.

This phone is so bad... No emoji support in the default keyboard, poor battery life both in use and on standby, the software is extremely buggy and the support for it is useless. Even Sony are basically trying to forget it exists, with the standard E4 not even listed among the phones on their website support. The wifi constantly cuts off while viewing videos, images or even when it's just standing, the speaker is in a terrible place, it's too quiet, ringtones reset when the phone is turned off, the built in EQ constantly shuts off and only quietens the music, the touch is glichy on the lock screen, the proximity sensor is extremely sensitive and the phone takes too long to wake up. These are just some of the problems Ive faced within the first month of having this phone and I know it's not just this handset as I've seen it reported among the sony forums. This phone is so weak. It's no wonder the E3 is more expensive.

main disadvantage ( because it's not too pricey one ) - very2 average camera - no LTE&NFC - for an Xperia device the speaker was to small - back plastic was slippery ( i suggest you to buy additional phone case. especially the rubbed one ) but, still an amazing phone. good looking, very smooth.no lag but if your country has E4g series, i suggest you to buy the E4g without second thought. i bought E4 instead of E4g because there's no E4g in my country.

I brought this phone last week. The problem is the phone hangs and it switching off. I asked the retailer about this. They told it is virus and they made me to purchase the application. Again the same problem arises.Samsung is better when comparing this. In Samsung we can open the task manager and we can close the running appearances and clear the ram. The bottom button in Samsung is very useful whenever the phone hangs. If we press this, task manager will be opened and the process is very easy. In sony it is not at all possible.

I am using this phone for a quite a long time now. I've bought it 10 days after it's release. It's quite cheap so people think it's bad but honestly it's awesome. Battery is quite good. It can last 4-5 days if you use it only in toilet or just to write 20-30 messages daily and do a few phone calls. It has battery STAMINA mode which can help you keep the power in it. With stamina it can last for 7 or more days. Many apps are available for it. I've tried and played lots of games. Runs very smooth and it's stabile. I would deffinately reccomend this phone. The moto G is better (more "disk" space, more camera, very good display) however it costs about twice as the E4 that is anyway a very good phone for the money it costs. IMHO has better design, a good display, camera is 5MP but good, it's fast. I got one and I am very happy.

Just got this phone, very disappointed by it. It works great all around but has a bunch of system bugs including: -When left alone it shuts down and restarts by itself. -Restarts constantly when a SD card is inserted. -WiFi shutdown when watching YouTube, have to turn off and on to continue playing. E4 not waterproof.buy m2 /m4 aqua or z series for water proof. We cannot be 100% sure of the lollipop update and custom roms. Because of the mediatek processor. I have not seen mediatek processors getting updates except android one phones. And virtually no one develops custom roms for mediatek.best example is Sony xperia C released last year.only c,e1 don't have at least a lollipop custom rom.. Only reason I believe e4 might get lollipop is that Sony released another phone with mediatek that is c4.sony have to update it to android 5.1. I encourage everyone to buy the m2 if you want lollipop. M2 is only slightly priced above e4.and it has otg. But I like e4 over m2 ...

I bought E4 about 3 weeks ago. Actually I wanted to buy E4g but it's not yet released in Indonesia so I decided to get the little brother. So far I satisfied with its performance. I just think that Sony smartphones is underrated by so many negative comments. I find this low-end device by sony is smooth and surprised with the quality of sound (using earphone), it is so good considering it is a budget phone. So, if someone hates something (in this case sony brand)..doesn't mean sony products is bad or worse than yours .. There's a lot of other brand with cheaper price in this entry level, but I don't think the quality is better than sony..

e4 has a very good camera.i have been using it.if u guys want dslr like camera quality from a 5mp camera, then god help u.and i suggest u all to go to a shop n compare the 5mp camera of e4 with 8mp of htc,micromax etc...e4 is better. ps-some ways to get awesome pics from e4 by a real e4 owner. 1.in auto mode,use aspect ratio 4:3 as it is equal to 5mp full.if u are shooting at 16:9aspect ratio,pics will be not good as 16:9aspect is equal to 2mp.guys,use the settings to shoot at 5mp (4:3). 2.in manual,use 5mp setting,image stabilisation on. 3.in daylight -hdr on. 4.for macros-auto mode use.

well the phone i can say is really good it big its comfortable to hold in hand it fast no slag has enough memory for me its perfect the front camera and back is not bad better than the e3 the size is perfect cons the display is a bit low but that doesn't matter either way i encourage you to buy it and if you want long ;lasting 2 day battery life charge it for 30 mins before turning on the phone for the first time i rate the phone 4/5 starts

the charger consists of 2 parts-charger module and a detachable usb cable[so u can use any cable of any length]....i just bought myself a longer usb cable at 100rupees and plugged it into the charger.simple.u see e4 dual is a great phone at this price-the best...as u can use a longer cable as the charger has a detachable usb port,i suggest u go for e4.u see very long usb cables are available very cheaply-just plug one and enjoy as THE CHARGER MODULE IS COMPATIBLE WITH ALL CABLES

rapid charging decreases battery life from 3 years to 1.5 years.so sony has intentionally increased charging time by a small amount to increase phone battery life.its a good thing.and my e4 takes 2.5 hours to charge from 0 to 100%.i am happy because my phone will last long!thnx.

e4g has higher brightness than s5,htc one m8 and 9,iphone 5c,5s,etc. e4g has higher contrast than all phones in the world except s6,z3.it has higher contrast than iphone 6.and don't compare e4 with e4g.e4g beats flagships in display.so e4 stands no chance in front of e4g.i recommend all to buy e4g if u can afford e4g.u go to a shop and compare any phone with e4g and the only phones that can beat e4g in display are- 1.iphone6(not iphone 5) 2.xperia z2,z3. 3.samsung s6,s6 edge. that being said,e4 ips display is better by a mile than samsung phones having tft display phones(core prime,grandprime,s duos, grand 2,grand neo etc) and all entry level htc phones.and e4 has better display than e1.

I Have bought the phone and sold it within a month.pls find the negatives of the phone 1 .the design itself is not having minimal aesthetic looks 2.it takes 4 hours to charge up 3.display resolution is qhd very low for a 5 inch mobile 4.Both the camera units are of no use 5.sony has even removed Dolby.hence the sound effects are also minimal Doesn't support NFC 5.Only plays 360p resolution in YouTube Friend don't go for the mobile.This is my valuable suggestion. regards Mohan

Honor 3C has better specs. It has clear lead/advantage of better cameras (both), double RAM (1GB vs. 2GB), better screen (220 ppi vs. 294 ppi). That's why E4 is cheaper than Honor 3C. But if you go for brand, Sony is a better brand. So it's upto you. But as far as specs are concerned, Honor 3C is better.

Well my e1 take 90mins for full charge.probably e4 takes a long time because of mediatek chipset.no quick charge like qualcomm.and you can try to recalibrate the battery and see. Do a factory reset too.

What touch problem? Grand Prime may be slightly better in some acpects, but is really more expensive, and it also has touchwiz stripped down, so its not so great in that area, and e4 has the best battery.

It's the best phone you can get for its price. Pretty display, processor is doing fine and the battery can resist two days, so it is not a joke, guys! :) If you are a fan o pictures and you want them to be very clear, then this is not the phone for you. E4 is ideal for instagram photos and you can easily edit photos so they can look good. I have an E4 for a month and some days by now and i am glad for my purchase.

Hi, I am using this phone for the last week, Its pretty good in Battery back up. It gives me a day in 3G. and upto 3 days with out Internet usage with a decent calls of 25 a day. The camera which is good enough to capture you daily shots with lots and lots of features. But if you compare the same with other models you will not get satisfaction. Quality of voice and sound is very good. overall i will give 4.3 out of 5 for Phone and 5 out of 5 for the price.

Good phone for the price. Had it for 2 weeks. Negatives: -The Auto-rotate is slooow to react, and quite often doesnt want to turn back once you've fliped it once. -Note that the camera is only 2& 5MP -The battery lasts me 12 hours of "constant" usage. I use internet(websites, spotify, and apps) almost all day long + sms + a phone call once in a while, and the battery only barely manages through the day.

It runs apps and games really good, battery is quite ok... I used it for about 16 hours non-stop playing games and it lasted that long and left me with about 15% battery. i bought dis phone 3 days back.my first sony phone. one word-woww!sony rocks.display is good.battery really lasts 3-4days on moderate use.Sony is much better than Samsung as xperia e4 has hangfree,is smooth,very good 5mp camera with hdr(!!!),time shift burst(!!awesome!!),ASPHALT 8 PLAYS WITHOUT LAG,and great walkman music player.and the icons and apps look beautiful as compared to cartoon icons of samsung.I AM NOT GOING BACK TO SAMSUNG PHONES IN FUTURE:-)

My sony e1 charges in 1 hour. LOL. Should be something wrong. Do a factory reset of the phone and check again. And recalibrate the battery. And it is true e4 is no upgrade to sony e3 or e1.e4 display is also poor than e3. Cha I would recommend e3 more than e4.

I already bought this phone 2 days ago...overall this phone is much better than lenovo A706 i bought 2 years ago...the best fact about this phone, its not lagging, the battery really hold for the whole day for light internet usage, the front camera with 2 MP really give beautiful picture when selfie and the back camera also really looks nice..other than that i really light the feel of this phone, light, nice to hold, the screen is feel like glass not feel like plastic...overall as for entry phone i feel like it is an expensive phone rather than cheap one...

I bought this phone and I regret it now. The camera is absolutely horrible. It takes worse pictures than those of Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 S7582 and Nokia X2 Dual SIM. They are grainy and lack detail. And the touchscreen is not very responsive. I tried to play World of Tanks Blitz and the commands were almost not working. I could not move my tanks right. Also the first charging took more than 3 hours. Guys, please, write about that phone only if you own it, not because you are Sony fans and you want to convince other people to buy it. its a great phone.a very good phone.got 1.3 quadcore processor and a very very long battery life.really.if sony can squeeze out more than 2 day battery life on z3,e4 will last even longer.Sony says it lasts more than 7 days on ultra stamina mode.besides,i think it got 3 speakers. a must buy budget phone.abd those who compare with motog should check and compare the displays.moto g has poor brightness and less vibrant colors and horrible battery life.

e3 is better because it has OTG support,adreno 305,NFC,sony highend flagship design, looks better, better display.230ppi. e3 can be updated to lollipop via custom rom. only problem with e3 is 4GB internal storage and large bezels compared to the display. plus vga front camera. internal storage problem can be solved by rooting. using sd card as primary memory. i wished sony would release an entry level phone with a shape like the z3 compact. i don't like both e3 and e4.

i think e3 is much better than e4 when it comes to gaming. adreno 305 is capable of 24Gflops while mali mp2 only can 9Gflops. if you are considering gaming there should be some lag.plus adreno has opengl es3 and better support.

This is a sweet low-end phone with big bright IPS display and a huge battery, not super specification but good enough and apparently some of the better in its price class, moreover I like very much Sony didn't make the phone so terribly elongated as many of their phone models are, meaning the "dead-area" below and above the display area which is a vaste of space and makes the phone unnecessary big to carry around in the pocket.

Until launch of Xperia E3, I was also a Sony fan...but disappointed with camera quality provided by Xperia E3 Friends, just few differences between E3 & E4, rest all similar...be careful... Sony not using its own Xmor/IMX sensors in both these handsets which leads to poor camera result compare to rivals who are using Sony's Xmor/IMX sensors and offering at lessor price...(eg. Xolo Q1010i, etc.)
