I am using this phone for the past 3 years and satisfied with it's performance. I have now down loaded the "malayalam" fond into it. But it doesnot work normally. The display does not show the typed messages and when I send it, the receiver gets the message correctly. When I checked up with the Sony Servicing Centre I am told that this model does not support "Malayalam" fond. I would appreciate a clarification on this. Will it function if I upgrade the software?

If you have charging problem,its not the motherboard problem. It because of the charging port. I've learned that this phone a bit sensitive when you unplugged the charger. So just unplugged straight away. Dont bending its charging wire..

I bought this mobile 2 years back when it was recently launched. For some time the mobile was not charging completely despite of being charged the whole night. The maximum battery charged was 80%. Then gradually it was not charging over 20-30%. Now it has turned off and not charging at all. I took it to the service centre located in Gurgaon. They informed me that the motherboard will need to be replaced and it will cost Rs.9900/-. Needless to mention, at this an amount I can buy a new instrument. It was not a very pleasant experience buying this phone. Can not recommend.

Hey hi i was also facing same issue, then i changed my wifi password with a simple one without any special character. few sony phones doesn't detect wifi if it is secured with special character. pls change it to simple with case or numeric or any special character Hope it works!!!1

i only bought this because of its design. after that, i thought this was a useless phone because of all the problems similar to others (low ram/response,lag,not for gaming etc.) and was gonna give to my gf and buy another. but after i installed a custom rom (cm10 jelly bean version) and did some tweaks, ram management and overclocked cpu, now i can play need for speed most wanted, asphalt 8, final fantasy 3 without lag, can do multitasking even while playing w/o launcher redraws, smooth scrolling, fast response

Neo L is the worst phone, i have ever experienced. I purchased in May, 13, since then it has gone for repair 8 times and still not working properly. Screen goes blank again and again, camera quality very poor. I will not recommend to anyone.

hi.i have this phone for about 1 year & i have no problem ( really no problem) with this. but... 1. low memory storage: you can easily manage your internal memory by apps like " memory booster"--->i experienced good feedback since using this app. 2. low speed of cpu: remove the apps in "recent app" & make limit to the behind apps of using cpu ( manage it in setting) to realise the real power of cpu. 3.phone hanging: i assure you have no hang on your phone since you do the 2 above!!

The original rom ICS with timescape UI is terriblely slow, low internal memory .If you use this phone and feel like hell with it, just unlock bootloader and install unoffficial Jeally Bean rom (Cyanogen Mod 10), it work smooth like charm. By the way, you all so need to expand the internal memory for more comfortable use. Just use INT2EXT+ script to mount sdcard as internal memory.

fifa 14 game ( 1.30 gb) is awosome nd grt graphics too... no hang or stuck problem on my sony xperia neo l... note: if you are playing heavy games..just try this tip seetings>devloper options> window animation--off transiton animation -off background process limit--no back ground process. then go to seetings> app> ruuning tab.. ..click every runing process and click force stop,.. then you will get around 170 mb ram free.. it is very enough to play these heavy games.. (fifa takes only around 100 mb raam.) you can play smoothly...... fifa14 graphics and palying options are superb compared to fifa 12.. you can get it from paly store.. ..after playing 3 matches.. u need to unlock the game for 270 rs to play more. (it indicate as free on playstore..but not real)

Since you mentioned that you are getting HSDPA signal, why are you still complaining that you don't get 3G? Yes this phone is really slow and I admit it. That's if you're using stock ROM. But if you are using a custom ROM (like the one I'm using), seriously, this phone will fly. Yes it doesn't have that much internal memory (it's just around 300MB+) and RAM is also low (it's just 320MB on stock ROM) but as I've said earlier, the real potential of this device is when you have installed a custom ROM for it. You can overclock this phone's processor speed for up to 1.6GHZ. Right now I have around 380MB RAM which is a lot better than it's stock version. So if you really want to have this phone fly like you want it to be, then install a custom ROM for it. But seriously, why do you guys expect that much from this phone this cheap? If you guys really want fast android phones, then buy the expensive ones.

So, in order for you to reach the full speeds and potential of your phone(Xperia Neo L), I would recommend installing a custom kernel and ROM for it although, you will void your warranty. My Xperia Neo L right now is running CyanogenMod 10 FXP231 and also using Lupus ICS/JB Kernel. So instead of ICS, my Android is on Jelly Bean 4.1.2 :)

Sony is an unreliable brand for mobiles. Just go through the Neo L forum on the sony care website, so many people having issues with automatic restarting, issues after upgrades, overheating... Mine lasted 3 months, then one day out of nowhere, the phone doesnt switch on. Warranty only covers labour, and good thing, there is no spare parts for the mobile(they diagnosed a problem with the pcb. So litteraly : I bought the mobile, used it for 3 months, sent it to HK for repairs and was advised to throw it away. Rating: 0 most expensive phone I bought, worst decision I made.

I hv bought this 4n mainly because of the appearance... Bt when using my experience is vry bad 4n on performance... Faced Below issues: *4n is restarting when calling without any reason and take several minutes to restart(this cn be seen in most SONY 4ns) *Sometimes 4n calls automatically end-up without any reason... *Unnecessary programs are running.. Hence 4n is tooo slow... Though those programs close again run automatically after few minutes.... I'm not recomanding to buy this 4n and better not go to a SONY 4n.... :(

yeah i have bought this phone and used it for about 6 month.. here are some tips for stupid people who play a 1gHz core like a dual gHz core and complain without using their own brain.. for me, i just dont like how it SLOW * NOT LAGGY * but i know its 1gHz only so yeah, thats no problem. afterthat my problem is zoom.. we got apps from playstore, remember? so he are some tips for ya.. dont put too many application or watever at the wallpaper.. the more the apps there, the more the lag will be.. remeber, you can arrange it on the menu, givce some time for it okay ? and one more.. NO CLEAN MASTER OR ADVANCED TASK KILLER . ANDROID knows how to handle it, seriously at first i dont believe my friends but now my phone never LAGS. it just SLOW because it's 1gHZ and i downloaded many things in it. okay ? goodluck to kill the LAGS ;D - to who read this and agree with me, please rate so everyone would see it * in the rating arrangement -sorry for my bad english

For me it is not. Less internal storage/RAM, LAGGY, OLD specs(2011 line Xperia)and very less developers. DONT BUY IT, Better go to other Mid Range or High End Xperias. Dont buy it. I'm using it now. Internal memory left for u too little which is 300mb only. If you plan on rooting it, you can solve the problem by installing Link2SD. But most developer are not interested to develop custom rom for this handphone. Conclusion, this handphone suck and i regret to own it

i manually move the app in SD card.. go to setting then you can see the app.. in app.. you choose the downloaded application and click that (i don't know the term haha) it will open and there you can see the move to sd card/ memory card option and then choose that.. the data will be on the sd card. that's how i do it :)

my opinion about this phone it a budget single core cpu phone not dual or quad core. it will lag here and there. built quality is fine. yes the back plastic cover scratch easily but with a proper case to protect it will not have a single scratch. I'm using this phone for 6month now still like new. as for slow dialer/massaging app to open it sony ICS 4.04 firmware problem nothing we can do about it. it take about 2-3sec to open sometimes so not a big problem. camera app on this phone have no zoom function. sony didn't use they customize camera app like they do other xperia series phone. camera app on this phone is stock ICS 4.04. no fm radio. as for a smoother operation disable some sony preloaded apps. it can be done by go into setting, apps, all apps, tap on a app like facebook, tap disable. install cache cleaner app from playstore run it from time to time, uninstall stock antivirus and other useless apps after uninstall some worthless apps free internal memory 380MB usable. for more free space root the phone remove some system apps :) keep phone internal memory free around 150MB. only install apps that you need to manage phone memory so it wont lag as much due to low internal memory and ram. don't use live wallpaper.

This is the worst phone Sony would have made. Its very very slow even in basic features, takes ages to look up a number in contacts. Also the quality of material used is pathetic, I bought a white one, and after 4 months its paiting is coming off, and worst part is its not covered in warranty. I'll never buy a sony again.

I had bought this phone for 17,oooo Rs. but i used to get this flickering problem of flash everytime i used the flash when i used it in online mode. bro it not a issue with phone it issue with u .. follow this step 1. go to setting.... 2. click on development options .....3. then click on the window animation scale ...4. adust at 1 for factory default and u can change it to high also i prefer go at 1.5 .... 5. then click on the next option transistion animation scale select it to 1.... then play temple run 1,2 it doesnot lag ..... some time when it lag kill all ur running background apps ... that's all see u ... and always tye to keep some space in the phone memory at least 41 mb and memory space minimum 200 mb

This phone is an old age snap in the competitive world of smartphones. Using this phone from past 5 months. Major draw back is its camera zoom and low on-board user available memory. People say to use apps for zooming and to be honest, the picture quality gets worst even at 2x zoom. Also, Indian version of MT25i does not support HD games like Nova 3, Modern Combat 4, Backstab etc.. Plus, there is no Radio and HDMI port and GSM Arena says it has no Bravia Engine. you need to check the phone's memory. it can only handle few apps in the phones memory and most of the good apps can only be stored in phone's momory, transfer movable apps to sd. once you have free memory it will help you download apps..this phone has 500RAM memory 300MB user available, this is the disadvantage of buying this phone

this phone is a really nice budget phone. please keep in mind that this phone is a single core 1ghz cpu with 512mb ram. don't expect more coz it not a quad core phone. using this phone for 2week now. no hanging issue,restart issue like other claim to have. 16gb class10 microSD HC work fine, 720p mp4 video downloaded from youtube play fine with mx player pro, 1080p mp4 high bit rate video will not play. camera can record 720p video with continuous auto focus. internal usable memory is 380MB after uninstall some worthless apps. there are 3rd party 1800mAh battery for this phone i'm using a brand call sun global 1800mAh battery. it add 2-3hours more then stock one. riptide gp, temple run1,2, subway surf play fine. what can one ask more from a budget phone. can not compare this phone to a high end dual or quad core phone. it you have money to buy a quad core phone then dont buy this phone :)

yes bro. am also xperienced the same problem..am used this fone around 5 months..after lateset update .631...one day my camera (default) have no clarity and video recording also not working properly..stuck and hanging in frames and still shots are out of focus..no colour..over brightness...and its went down just like vga camera..first i think that the lens cover is scarched (damaged)..but am already using back cover and am verified the backside panel lens cover..its have no problems(scratches)..then.. am disappointed and i decided to go sony service centere.. but after around one week i noticed the problem automatically went and the camera clarity returned. now the shots and videos are same as that i purchased.(good). actually i don't know how this happened..automatically clarity went and returned... now no problems related to camera... i suggest u to go service center if u have the warranty period.but before that u just verify there is no physical damage (scratches,dust..etc..)on the lens cover..the lens cover is not separable..its fixed to the camera.. so there is no need to remove the back panel.

try clearing play store app cache file by going to Setting > Apps > Google Play Store. press clear data. after that open play store, accept term and condition again, try download apps from play store see if it works. also download cache cleaner from play store. run cache cleaner after download/install apps. sometime bad internet connection cause download to fail and apps data is on the phone but corrupted that what it say package invalid.

this phone lags in many hd games like asphalt 7 and backstab hd. i have used sduos before it was very slower than this and was not having flash support for online gaming.this phone has no zoom in camera and no fast capture.less internal memory 375mb and less ram 340 mb.if you are a heavy user then this phone has a very good battery backup.sony has not announced any jelly bean update rom for neo l since now.althrough this is nice cell.

I can run any 720p music videos (29 frames/second) smoothly but when I play a movie file of 720p resolution (23 frames/second) with .mkv extension the movie doesn't run smoothly. and i thought i was the only one. yes i have encountered that annoying thing. sometimes even those photos i have already deleted still shows up as preview icons and i hate it.but it only happens whenever i use the default android picture viewing app (Gallery i think? the one with a pink+yellow icon). i chose sony xperia picture viewer as my default photo viewing app to solve this very annoying problem.

Just remove battary and again restart ur mobile, it will ask u for basic setup , set ur langauge and follow all the 6 stes given in set up guide. Cheers !! Raj

it is possible to move all your app to sd card but you have to root your phone first then look the APP2SD app from the market. that will take care of everything.

Hi! I have successfully downloaded a flashplayer early today. Just search the archive adobe flash player in google and there you can see the site n the result, click on that and then download the flashplayer for ics 4.0

Yeah I sometimes encounter that too..to fix it just go to settings, app, all app then find the gallery and clear data.
