I have tested several ROMs on this phone. Durability is great, Battery is good when using Froyo, Camera is good, Speed is a okay so don't expect too much even if it will be overclocked. I have this phone for a year and I did encountered problems but with shear determination on how to rectify those it is worth it.

i really really hate this phone! because it always has too many problems to solve and actually none of the are effective! it has bluetooth problem~ touch screen usually doesnt work and u can't install more that 5 software on it because it cant run them. also wifi suddenly drops! i think its the worst phone i have ever seen! lucky i don't have it~ my dady has it and i always try to solve its problems and it drives me crazy! so i think samsung galaxy version is much better if any one wants to buy a smart phone....i have galaxy note and i think its awesome! i love it

actually this phone hav 600mhz by qualcomm and adreno 200 . If you install custom rom the phone can run game like pes 2012 smoothly than the galaxy y . I like this phone but the design is terrible .

i won't preffer this phone,it comes with android 2.2 now and the processor of this phone only 482Mhz somemore battery life can't last longer. for cheap budget,i would preffer galaxy Y or SE X8 this phone needs to flash with custom rom + overclock only can run smoothly

hey... u need to first check whether u hav limited the number of msgs to b stored for each thread to be 20. If it is so,change it to 100,200 or watever u want. Otherwise u may had installed a large number of apps consuming all of phone memory. so uninstall few of them n create space around 10-20 mb for msgs. your pblm will b solved.

This phone... Touch screen not so sensitive. Stock 1.6 OS is very very laggy. To use this phone with good experience, you need to flash custom ROM, overclock it.

I just bought the phone 4 days ago and I have to admit, it's working great as expected. First of all please note that it comes with Froyo 2.2.1 (CSL Mi300 model) as stock ROM. And note that I immediately flash the Phantom Sky Rev v1 ROM Froyo 2.2.2. I also tested Cyanogenmod 7 Gingerbread 2.3.3, but it was unstable. First of all, let's talk about design, it's not very bad but not good either, it's plastic, but come from a low price range, it is as expected. But, the trade off the cheap body with a very good mid-high end hardware, Again the basic, call quality is good, 3G / HSDPA speed is great, and the battery life vary from the ROM you use. Again for me, I get 1 and a half day of nominal usage (3G + WiFi and several calls) when using Phantom Sky Rev1 ROM. Let's talk geek now. Overclocking? Yes! It can reach up to 800MHz, the same as the much newer Samsung ACE, for less the money. Again, proven by Quadrant benchmark with a staggering 1022 points. Much better then an HTC Legend or any other mid range phone. App2SD are working great for this phone also, unlimited app storage, what more can I say? Life wallpaper? Sure can, but expect a little less battery life when using live wallpaper, same as any other android phone out there. Screen? It is indeed a finger print magnet, but a simple good quality screen protector with anti scratch and anti glare is good investment in any touch base phone. Hackable? Yes, it is one of the most modded and supported phones in the android community. Also known as Commtiva z71, this phone are support officially by the Cyanogenmod team, care to say more? Nuff said :D Overall, I would recommend this phone for average user on budget, and also for android developers and hackers looking for a cheap phone to play :D For me, this is a toy from heaven. Again, don't judge the phone buy it's brand, I repeat, don't. The hardware itself is use by Gigabyte Gsmart G1305 and Motorola XT502, the same hardware use by Gigabyte and Motorola, two of the best manufacturer, does that means low quality hardware? Notes Pros : - Good battery life with good ROM - Mainstream screen resolution 320x480 HVGA - Great color reproduction, a little less good than first gen AMOLED, but better than old LCDs found in HTC Hero - Great modding scene, full support and update (Gingerbread latest) - Acceptable game performance - Average GPS speed and accuracy - Vast amount of apps available thanks to the HVGA resolution. Compared to latest Samsung Galaxy Mini - Great size, I'm not a fan of oversize phones, but not too small either, Mi300 is just right. - Good touch response, I can type really fast with 5% fault in portrait orientation, using HTC_IME mod KB - Dedicated Call/end call button, nice. - Responsive proximity sensor as well Accelerometer - great speaker overall. - Matte colored body, a good welcome. Cons : - RAM, only 172MB usable RAM, compared to 256MB in spec. - Internal memory are a little tight although App2SD solve the problem temporarily. - The charging port/ mini usb is at the left side, compared to bottom on most phones. - It would be nice to replace the trackball with a dedicated back button, who uses trackball? - Plastic design, squeaks and not so solid build. Overall this is a good phone, and I have to say, CSL does a great job porting this to malaysian users.

Dear all This Mi 300 Android is too good i had recently update 2.1 to 2.2 Froyo. Now support apps2sd in froyo very good experience battery backup is much better then old 2.1 eclair. The processor for this phone is qualcomm msm 7227 clocked at 600mhz with adreno 200 graphic chip.. If u wanna stable rom, im recomended phantom king sky fish rev2 android froyo.. This phone cool, can play nfs shift without lags.... The problem is camera.. This is not autofocus camera but fixed focus camera

Got this on Sunday. Returned to store on Saturday. Too many issues - Touchscreen very hard , Screen touch buttons interfear with onscreen Menus. Battery % is never reported correctly. Biggest problem - Network connectivity. Very poor. Camera - Do not even cosider it exists. The only good thing is you get Android 2.2 Phone for 8k.. But overall phone rating 4/10

currently using mi300 and brother using optomus....... one tin i like was a dedicated answer key and disconnect key and second thing was fatser screen respose......and angry birds works better on mi300 compared to optimus.....and the most imp thing the phone has flash......and trackball scrolling and launcherpro wrks perfect on this phone.....so my personell prefrence will be mi300 over optomus

Hello everyone .......this is my personal review of this phone.......the phone is just awesome under 10000......it has a awesome touch better say IPHONE TYPE.....and th best video playback plays videos converted for iphone best games and apps ......awesome 3d graphics the only thing which lacks is 2.2 upgrade as company hasn't issued any update about that may i tell u that i m running 2.2 on this phone....(more info [email protected])...it is also running flawless(better than 2.1)...........the major drawback is its battery life is too short just getting a 12 hour back up

Hi i have got this phone just 2 months back there was a slight problem with the response of the touch screen so i took it to the spice galary and they kept the phone with them for about 2 weeks and returned it back in the same ocndidtion stating its resolved and after getting more into it one of my collegue stated that if you give it under warranty they just keep it untouched for the time its with them and if you want to get it repaired ststing that you are willing to bear the cost they fix it but still take 2 weeks think twice before going for it thats the difference between branded phones and local brands

You haven't heard of Spice doesn't mean the brand is some chines crap. In fact, these are the brands which have forced your Samsung to bring down their prices or launch a competitive handset. Though its a shame that the Indian govt doesn't bother about the SAR certifications with such high % of mobile users, but everything sold/manufactured in India isn't crap. I have been using this fone for the past 2 months and found it to be very user friendly. My handset sometime restarts all by itself. The battery life is bit too basic, it lasts hardly for a complete day. Have to charge it daily. The fone functions pretty good and the touch screen is excellent... It could have been a better fone if the battery life is improved to at least 2 days on regular usage.

The hardware especially innovative, and its design is unmistakably the work of Spice. In fact, it most strongly resembles a stretched-out Spice Hero. I am Expriencing the phone since last 1 month, Still, the phone is attractive and well constructed. Its rounded corners, solid-glass display, pleasure to hold. Though I'm not a huge fan of the trackball on these phones--preferring instead to rely on the touchscreen--this trackball was fast and easy to use. The touch buttons are quite responsive, too, though you have to press firmly to activate them. the 3.5mm standard headphone jack. The camera lens and flash are located on the back of the phone. The display is superb. Indeed, photos and videos of the phone don't do it justice. You need to view the display in person to see how text pops out and how photos dazzle, as well as how nicely the display showcases such new features of Android 2.1 as the scrolling menu and the 3D wallpaper. When you take the phone outdoors, though, you lose much of the display's visibility, especially in bright sunlight. This limitation will especially disappoint casual photographers who would like to snap lots of pictures with the phone's 5-megapixel camera--as outdoors it is quite difficult to see the images you shoot.

I am currently using Mi-300. Specs, UI and Features are very Nice n Cool and even Accessing speed is pretty good... One main flaw is Battery goes down soon while surfing net or using any games or apps... BETTER IF SPICE PRODUCES OR GIVES 1500 mAH or 1800 mAH BATTERY WHICH CAN STORE MORE POWER AND GIVE GOOD BACK UP!!!!
