Issues issues and only issues with this phone..8 months of usage and the battery does not last for evn 6 hrs..a very bulky phone..memory insufficient is the response to an attempt to download apps..touchpad of back key spoilt..display goes off n phone needs to be restarted everytime..for past 2 months its now in the company for servicing..no spare battery available..no response from 3rd party service center... The only solution to this problem is gain root access to ur. phone and delete the cluttering system logcat files...the main culprit of the issue. Uninstalling unwanted bloatwares might also help.

This phone is very good to use. It can play 1080p full hd videos with vlc or mx player. Good battery life if use in a right way. Only thing lacking is, only 1 gb internal memory for application installing even if u get almost 12 gb memory. If u have screen getting off problem while calling , just make sure that the screen guard is not covering top part more the actual display screen,if still there is problem , install proximity screen off-lite application from playstore. This will 100% solve the problem. with that unmark the setting-accessibility-powerbutton call end. And in proximity screen off app , select enable during call only option, then enable device admin option. To control power consumption, install set brightness app from playstore and set brightness to 0%.

it will not be a wise decision to go for this phone, because of battery problem. i am individually using the phone from 6 month and my battery got swollen 2 times within the period. with a little over charging the battery got swollen and each time i have to complain for the same and spend Rs750-800 for the same The service center people doesnot accepting the swolen battery under warranty , where as battery getting the swollen without any fault of the user over all too much tension---,run around , additional battery cost and wastage of time ........ can't give a good feedback to spice

I bought this phone (or Mi-530) in Holland as a Wolfgang at-as53n. I am very pleased with the phone, never had any issues related to the camera,wifi or connectivity, all apps work great. The phone would be better if there was a possibility to change a song or stop music with a button on the side of the phone. Now you have to unlock it everytime. Sometimes when talking handsfree it is very annoying that the screen goes black. But other than that i am VERY happy. I received a flipcover with the phone that protected the phone the first 100 times I let it fall. Now my phone has fallen, again, and there's a crack in the glass.. Thanks for your suggestion. I took the handset to Spice authorised service center, they tried to flash ROM, it didn't help. Then they kept the mobile with them for 15 days for repairs & finally returned the handset to me without any repairs, stating that the problem cannot be repaired! Then I emailed to spice official contact, & after 3 days got reply that my handset was ready to be taken back from service center ! ! Very poor service.

I purchased it on Jan'14 Please donot waste money on this phone. Battery back up is very bad and also it get heated up like a iron box if you speak more than 10 minutes. The hand free gives sparks while talking after the use of 3 months. Go for some Samsung products or Sony Xperia.

Hey bro ya ur right. There is problem in software virsion of spice. Ok u need to just do one thing. Dont push scene mode on camera uper side when u set scene mode phne gets reboot and camera is showing gallary was stopped. Just reset ur phne .and enjoy taking pictures.

My suggestion is not to go with this phone (Mi-535) or maybe this brand. Have suffered a lot with phone hanging and multiple times reboot issue within warranty. MY old phone Nokia 6270 is thousand times better than spice Mi535, coz at least it does not hangs up or shut down itself. I have to reboot my spice mi535 phone 15-20 times in a day when ever I had to use it. If any body is having any solution for this, I will be grateful.

You may check the proximity censor clean the surface above the proximity censor proximity censor is near about the ear piece.If the screen blank problem does not solve then you may download Auto screen application. during the phone call you enable the "screen on" of the application.then you can call easily to any one without screen goes black.

it seems latest updated to youtube/whatsapp or similar app are creating this issue. This issue is with all Androids 4.1.2... one easy thing is to uninstall the latest updates to the above apps and disable them, clear data for the gallery/ media storage apps and then reboot.

Hi Deepak, I am also facing problem of screen not illuminating even after taking handset away from ear ( screen becoming dark while replying call is normal & indicates that proximity sensor working OK but when one wants to end call, it should illuminate, that is not happening.) 2. While video recording, the sound is recorded at extremely low level & it becomes evident when one plays recorded videos. Rest functions are so far OK Can anybody help?

Bcoz every other android phone whether it is samsung, lenovo, panasonic, sony, micromax or any one else. They are not having dual 3g enabled handsets. If you are having both 3g enabled sim card. Than you have to switch your sim card from one slot to another everytime. They have one 3g slot i.e. sim 1. And one 2g slot. Yes display, touch may be not so good that you are wondering. But what you guys want in 10k. Supports every game. Full HD videos. Dual mic. Dual cam... 8mp and 5mp. With 1 gb ram. M happy with my decision.

Ok I have used this phone extensively now and can give a reliable feedback. First things first it is available on Spice own website SAHOLIC.COM and SNAPDEAL at under 10k. It is a great phone, yes the battery drains fast like any other cellphone if the WIFI is on and there is no direct WIFI signal available or you are travelling in BUS and train with both SIM working and it keeps searching for signals. If you keep wifi turned off, it gives a decent day plus (in case you install a battery save app ) Apart from this the phone for all general uses is phenomenally good. I see a lot of fake reviews here with no basis in reality. Yes the moment you get the phone goto nearest service center and get its software updated ( you can not do it) . Say the phone hangs etc etc if they ask you why have you come. In reality this phone never ever hangs, never re booted itself or has any touch problems. The Reception on the phone and the voice quality for others is perfect. The screen is huge and great pleasure for watching movies, reading mails etc. Go get this phone . At this price it beats Samsung Grand 2. Yes the OS of Samsung is great blah blah blah, but paying 12 k extra for OS is purely stupid. I hope this review helps you all who are getting confused by irrelevant things. Unlike Karbonn phones which has a lot of complaints of TOUCH SCREEN issues Spice Mi 535 has been running phenomenally well for the past 4 months. I am super happy with the purchase. :) :)

Hi All, After a fair amount of research and wanting all features and not wanting to compromise on RAM or Processor or Battery Size or Screen Size or Front Camera quality ( since I wanted to do a lot of video calling ) at a reasonable price - I finally bought Spice Mi-535. It has been so far a great experience for the price. Issues : I realized after buying this phone as to why SAMSUNG sells like hot cake. It is not because of more powerful processor or less or better battery or screen resolution. The only reason SAMSUNG sells or so does iPhone is because of its software and Graphics User Interface. Everything in a Samsung is beautifully and simply arranged to reach to and the Samsung Music player and Icon arrangement is really superior. HAVING said this - Spice Mi-535 suck only uptil the GUI and Battery conservation software is concerned. If you know what software to install and what to remove - this can be a great phone. I realized it is not SPECS in a smart phone that are important but the software. Samsung wins the round. All other wise, Spice is a very good quality. For the little issues it has, like sometimes hanging on camera or the proximity sensor that fails to work sometimes, you just need to take it to a the Service Center and withing 1 hour they will update your phone and you are good to go. Camera quality is good , front camera is great, sound quality is super nice, secondary mic makes your sound really good, If you use a 3rd party Battery Saver, it can last upto 17-18 hours on a stretch. I really can't say any bad things about this phone except that only when compared to the Samsung Galaxy series the GUI sucks big time and for that reason I could spend double the amount on maybe Samsung Grand 2. Surprisingly in the market, all other phones seem to have a lot of problems especially Karbonn how ever Spice is a super stable and well made phone. Both SIM CARD are 3 G so easy to switch as well. It will take a little time to get used to it, but I warn you once - you are used to it - it is so good and does 80 % of your laptop work that you seem to be hooked by it. Great Experience - Great Price including great resolution. Companies might try convincing you, Full HD is better than 840x640 etc but those lower resolutions are meant for smaller screen. Full HDs are meant for bigger screen so a resolution of 960x540 is amazing on this phone. Great picture quality, great speaker. For my parents and myself I could not ask for more. I have somehow got this phone rooted. But surprising, the phone is full of present installed application and Widgets which are of no use and you cannot even delete or remove these unwanted apps and widgets if the phone is not rooted.For every action you will have to install one of the other application to satisfy yourself .

One of the hopeless phone I ever came across. Now I am repenting as to why I purchased this phone. Drawbacks: Phone is non rooted. Cannot delete pre installed unwanted application. Speaker volume is too low while playing music player. Phone gets hanged very frequently. Battery never lasts for one hour while in journey. While on travelling if music player is played battery drains off within half an hour.I have installed battery saver, RAM booster and many more apps, but of no use. Pros:- 1)This set,... very good build quality strong, both internally and externally. 2)Premium looks...first time it caches every one's eyes. 3)Big IPS Sreen...I mean very Big.. 4)Great performance with respect to its specifications.. 5) Can ply 1080 videos also without any lag.. 6)Included editional accessories out of the box like, flip cover, scratch guard, otg cable etc... 7)good battery and backup.. Cons :- 1)This set comes with stock jelly bean 4.2.1. Not OEM one's..It's not just fully customized for the phone. So there are lots of minor bugs more than 10 actually, like No display, signal drop, poor reception. All these are software problems. But Temporarily got rid of them by installing custom rom. But one day you must get back to stock rom...then again it started to irritate me. 2)I'll tell you.. there is no full support for this for product from both company side and also online and third party developers. 3)If you buy this phone you are on your own. I am now learning Java and python programming to slove this phone issues...wanna laugh? go on... 4) Just go for branded sets, no! not samsung they are also now started to use low quality materials in thier phone..Better go for Sony or HTC..I have A Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman phone. Its just A class since day one till now. Outdated hardware but still no bugs.. So go for branded!

It's a good phone...Fits for guys... Bit bulky and heavy so i wont suggest this for girls..... I am using this phone for past four month.. I Use GPS often.. like all other smart phones(Nokia,Samgsung, etc) even spice takes less than 2 mins to connect to GPS... GPS connects easily in empty space... THis phones rocks

The sar value of any phone will be highest only during call setup(incoming or outgoing) which hardly lasts for few seconds, rest of the time it will be very well below the highest sar value given!! I guess ur lecturer should have said this also. Didn't he? I-phone 5(sar=1.6) and many other phones as mentioned by the person "cheers" has sar value in the range 1.5 to 1.6. Do worry if whatever phone u have has sar above 1.6 else be cool and chillax!! Dont u agree right this is a very great phone than the rest???

Hmm..android is is not like windows !! Wherein if u kill a process it will free up the memory!! Android is designed in such a way that every single app u install is cached in the RAM!! So that the OS may not spend time searching for the app, as it is already available in the Ram, it helps in faster execution of the app.!! If u kill a process then the android os when it realizes this , again prepares a caged copy of it and store it in the RAM. This will again consume more power. Stop killing the processes... U can google out this issue and find more imformation.

Rest of the time it will operate on low values of SAR!!! And moreover, It is within the prescribed limit . Why worry??? Dude, first google around what is the meaning of SAR value!!! A phone with a reasonable antenna will have a high SAR rating, while a phone that uses a low efficient dielectrically loaded antenna will have less SAR value. Guys, dont gag around without using the phone and commenting purely based on the specs u see on the net!!! I have used both the phones, A116 and MI-535. Clearly, MI-535 is the winner. Just google the antutu and nenamark benchmark!!!U will see a huge difference in it...MI 535 plays DEAD trigger, GOF2 HD and other high graphic demanding games flawlessly!!unlike A116 which lags sometimes!!plus u have gorilla glass display on MI-535. Hi Friends, I have a regular user of the Spice android H/sets, used Mi425, mi500 and also mi535. All of them have been best in the class. Today I am not here to complain or something but want to advice company that with the kind of quality is provided if you just add some more features like Gorilla corning glass, PC Connection manager and software upgrade at the customer's/ user end it will be unbeatable. If we look at MMX Canvas 4 they are trying to push raise the bar. there was a time when MMX didnot have a android phone which could come close to the specifications of Spice phones. Neha this is awesome phone,2 months ago my friend bought this mobile. +points:-internal memory,battery,no lagging,nice free RAM memory,some extra apps by spice,nice UI etc. -points:-thickness should be less but this is not noticeable,decent camera quality. he played some high games that experience was awesome like Asphalt 7&8,Dead trigger,NOVA 3,Real racing 2,FIFA 13&14 and temple run 2&OZ,subway surfer(all 4 latest versions) but he faced reboot problem when he switched on night mode from taking pic but that was resolved by service center in 24hrs. and we can also play 720p video in this.i accept 540p is lower than 720p but this is not noticeable in mobiles if u don't have AMOELED display.

The Solution - the phone reboots while taking picture at night in night mode. The phone just needs a patch to update in the software. I faced the same problem. I took the phone to the spice hotspot from where I have purchased it and they just took one day to update that patch. The problem is resolved now!! Try that.

Hi friends i purchased the Mi-535 fifteen days ago & i've got to say its the best phone for its price. Although there are two major draw-back : 1) The phone reboots while capturing photo in night mode; this can be solved by third party app though. 2) While recording the volume is really low. The over all performance of the phone is the best & i'm really loving it. The plus points of the phone are : 1)The phone never gives up on large files downloading. 2)The phone is really fast & never slow's down weather playing HD games or HD videos. 3)The sensors & the touch screen are running really smoothly

I think it's a common issue for many phones, when you call, screen turns off and doesn't come back even if you remove it from your ear. It's due to the proximity sensor getting dust/dirt/not calibrated properly. I recommend use this application : "Auto Screen On" from playstore (it's free). It not only solves this problem, but also saves you over using the power button everytime you need to turn on the display.

The Silent Phone!!! Have you seen the advertisement for the Spice mobiles on TV? The advertisement shows a pair of gloved hands performing tricks with a Spice phone. It may be noted that it is only a pair of hands in thin air and nobody behind. Finally, when a customer asks about the phone, he is slapped on the face. This is exactly what happened to me after buying the Spice Stellar Pinnacle Pro Mi 535. Impressed by the advertisement advertisement, I was tricked into buying the phone. In a week�s time, the speaker failed to work. I am unable to hear the caller & have to use the phone only in loudspeaker mode. I called up the service center number on their website to register a complaint, but was shocked to hear that the number does not exist, neither does the service center. (No person behind the gloved hands) I then registered a complaint on their website and was given another service center number and address. On contacting this center, I was told that there is a problem with the receiver and he will order for a new one. This was nearly a month ago. As on date, I am yet to hear from either Spice Customer Care or from their service center. Every time I call the customer care number, I am informed rudely that the complaint is under process & I will hear from them shortly. So, what they are advertising is absolutely true. You are tricked by the features of the phone and there is no person whom you can contact or who will respond to your complaint. If you complain too much, they will probably slap you in the face. So, anyone wants to go ahead and be a volunteer for a magic show, go ahead and buy this phone.

yes you can go for spice mi535 I have used xperia l, xperia m, galaxy grand, canvas hd ...but this phone has really surprised me. 5.3" is a treat to use & same goes for quad core processor. most of the companies provide 1gb ram near 15k range phones & spice mi535 didn't disappoint. battery performance is a major highlight. excellent phone with excellent feautures.

go to sim management> data connection> selct vodafone> 3G service> enable 3G ( if enabled in your data plan)> Select Vodafone. If it still does not work go to access points and check if the APN is www or not. If it is not type www as APN address. Leave everything as it is and try to reconnect. Switch off and on once . It should work. If u have 3G and its not showing 3g or H or H+ above th enetwork bars just selcet th eoption of WCDMA only , from network type and once it gets 3G signals again switch back to dual mode(GSM + WCDMA).. Some serious Issues that i've found in My Spice MI 535.. 1) During making Call Screen goes BLACK and Unresponsive,so when you want to END the CALL you need to set POWER BUTTON for ENDING CALL else you cant do anything and phone appear as Frozen. 2) Front Camera got DUSTY under the SCREEN-GLASS, i don't know how and from where DUST came into. 3) You cant CLICKED pictures in NIGHT MODE, The phone RE-START every time you try to make it. So these are the 3 Major issue's which i've found till date.

Looks like there is an issue with the battery. 2550 mah is a large one and should last atleast a day if not longer. I would recommend pull out the battery and spin it on a flat surface to see if it spins. If it does then battery needs a replacement. In any case please take it to the service center for an inspection. For me it lasts almost 2 days with regular use (network, phone calls, and video)

If it spins then the battery is bulged and needs a change. You may want to take it to the service center for a look. Otherwise the phone is fantastic for the price you pay.

Did anyone face this issue ? Whaenever I'm making a call holding the phone near ear, the screen goes dark as intended. But after finishing the call, it takes a lot of time for the display to re-appear. As a result, I'm not being able to disconnect calls. I tried blowing hard near the primary camera (may be some dirt near proximity sensor). Also, cleaned up the entire screen with dry soft cloth. Tried rebooting also. Rebooting helps little bit, but the problem reappears. I guess this is not just this phone, any touch phone with proximity sensor will have this issue. Any suggestion ?

Both the camera take good pictures, day photos are really nice but in the night, with nitght mode and flash on. when i click the phone will restart. i don't know why.? video capture quality is very good, but the microphone can't capture clear voice. Can easily manage File Manager through it and can move installed apps to SD card from Phone or vice versa. While playing mp3 from either external sd card or internal 12gb storage I face sometimes jerk in the audio..reboot solves it . happens after 6-7 days of continuous running of phone. Also noticed that during this period SMS notification ringtone also faces jerk 2. Not able to play YouTube on 3G or 2G. The screen stucks on circle revolving without any video.No Audio too.However all other sites works perfectly ok on 3G/2G,using Vodafone 3G Youtube works perfectly well on WIFI Any Help will be highly appreciated Regards

Bought it a week back for my wife No lags/ No hung-ups/ No restarts/ No Wifi bugs/Most apps working fine. Tried 3d games Mostly Templerun and Pitfall and they working pretty smoothly. Camera quality is too good for both rear and front camera. Batter lasts for about 1 and a half days with average use of data and gaming. I recommend buying this. I have tried Micromax Canvasd HD and Samsung Galaxy Grand (All versions) and will rate this device above all of them.

My sincere suggestion is to go with mmx hd coz gpu of mi 535 is powervr sgx 531,which works superbly with 400×800 resolution phs but not with greater than that resolution,but mmx hd has powervr sgx 544 which is superb for greater resolution phs.u can easily find out the difference when u load games simultaneously on both devices! Follow my suggedtion if u don want to regret later

Coz of the best hardware specification, i prefer this phone, this is nice piece and i am really njoying this experience, the main drawback is only its camera, which works like VGA in indoors or low light....in normal lighting its good enough. gaming experience is awesome, all the features are excellent, its battery is its main USP as with hardcore use its very easily stand for more then 24 hours(2 -3 hrs calling, 4-5 hrs net, 1-2 hrs of full gaming like temple run, subway surfer, angry bird, and also a full bollywood movie) i really njoing this experience...

i usually change my phone within 6 month. i have use micromax canvas 2, sony experia tipo. but this one m535 is amazing. its processer, o.s., battery back, camera quality, speed, shutter speed everything is great. but ring volume is a little low. i have used is battery for more than 48 hours in normal mode. built quality is ok but better than its compititor like karbonn and micromax. i have used spice m720 tablet like that it is a great phone.

Hi I am Using Spice Mi-535 Since last 3 weeks,the phone is working amazingly fast, signal strength is very good, sound quality is fine, music quality is also good it can play 1080P videos easily, wifi recepetion and tethering is fine,battery gives full on day backup on Complete 3G, all the sensors are working perfectly fine. inbuilt 16GB memory user avilable 12GB approx. checking mail and surfing net is smooth with out any lag, all major games I had played like Temple RUn 1 & 2, Brad's tale , Arcane Legends, Beach buggy, Angry Birds etc., with out any lag. Camera is good but not comparable with branded phone The only draw back I observed is build quality of course no that bad at this price but it could have been better. I am Giving You the below details of the Phone which were obtained by conducting the AnTuTu Bench mark test, the score obtained is 13229 SD card write Speed 33.9 MB/s SD Card Read Speed 43.8 MB/s.
