  • I am soooo much disappointed. I feel like I was scammed. My vivo v5s phone suddenly died and no longer boot up nor charge. I only used it for exactly 2 years and that's it. I woke up in the morning only to find my phone is no longer working when it is perfectly fine before and mind you not even repairable. This is not acceptable!!! 13k for a phone that only lasts for 2 years??? my goodness!!! IT DIED AND THAT'S IT. No explanation/notice. My trust for this brand of phone is already broken....

  • The phone will stay good if not updated to the latest android..better not to update it. It was my phone for a year before I switched to V11i because I noticed that the phone heats up a little. But still a good phone for regular use, for browsing ,but not for games. and remember DO NOT UPDATE IT.

  • The MediaTek MT6750 implemented in Vivo V5s is a crappy old SoC build on old 28nm fabrication process. This SoC will result is high battery drain and generate a lot of heat and throttle on heat up. On contrary, Vivo V5Plus comes with Snapdragon 625, and is build in latest 14nm fabrication process. As a result SD625 is not only smaller, it consumes much less battery power, produces next to no heat and provides superlative performance with no throttling. Get the V5Plus.

  • Yes. Sadly it sucks at video recording. Specially when it's dark......it takes really bad grainy video. Sometimes blurry. But in the bright outdoor video recording it performs well. This phone is great but not the best. Pros~ Performs well. (Even on 8 months use) Has cool software features like multi window and many more. Excellent picture quality.(Acceptable results in night time) SD CARD AND HEADPHONE JACK 😉 Great battery life. (17 hrs ON 4G) Cons~ Low screen resolution. Horrible control center. Horrible video recording at dark places. UI looks like iOS (no originality) MY PERSONAL PROBLEM WITH THIS PHONE IS.... IT HAS NO AVAILABLE CUSTOM ROM :(

  • FYI to those who still don't know why this phone lags when it reaches 5%.... It's a new feature that vivo implemented in the new update.....when the phone reaches 5% it will reduce the performance and screen frame rate to conserve battery. +DO NOT FULLY DRAIN YOUR BATTERY IT WILL REDUCE THE LIFESPAN FASTER+ Charge the phone when it reaches 20%. Going above 90% is not recommended.

  • Hey guys, I have been using v5s for a month now coming from samsung Note 5. In this first month of my use there wasn't a single moment when I missed note 5 or my galaxy s6 edge. This phone is just awesome in every department. Camera much better than samsung, battery easily lasts more than a day. Os is very smooth and easy. Sound quality is great. The most highlighted parts I think are camera and battery. I am more than satisfied with both of them. Camera has some Dslr mods in it and I am loving it. In my personal opinion vivo is the future of smartphones. Go for it and you won't regret your decision. Love my vivo v5s. Thanks

  • Recently, I upgraded to 7.0 nougat. I feel that my phone lag when battery reach 5%.

  • Today the phone got updated and since then my default TouchPal keyboard has got updated and lost previous information. And now the keyboard gets closed on its own while I am typing anything it's so annoying. Hiding icon section has also got removed, wish I should not have updated the phone but now it's done I just hate when the keyboard closes on its own.

  • .if you will closely on this device specially on the screen you can actually see what 269 ppi looks like somehow its not hd on fonts despite its 5.5 inch, the wider the screen the ppi must stay somehow about 400 up to sustain the wide screen. the only good thing about it was the front camera

  • For those options I would go for Nokia 6. Nokia 6 uses Snapdragon processor while Oppo F1s and Vivo V5s don't use Snapdragon processor.

  • Okay.. I am using this mobile.. just bought it a week ago. Camera is good. battery should be 3500-4000 mAh. because i am obsessive gamer.. but the battery is not that bad. Talk about FunTouch OS.. it is awesome. although it has some of the features less but i am sure the developers are working on them.. No big issues in OS. works smooth. Finger Touch is good. Sound is better. doesn't hang even if i play asphalt 7. and there were some rumors back in the reviews that some of the games likei"Mini Militia" doesn't work or gets installed on this device...its totally wrong... i am playing it too. Its almost Iphone but way cheaper. The X series have Snapdragon embedded and the GPU of samsung devices but X series is only introduced for china... V5s is way better than Q-mobile, Huawei and Oppo (worst). i would recommend this device to the people with mid-range. I know rich will praise Iphone because vivo hurts their self-respect. Don't worry guys this device is good if u take care of it.

  • First we have to know, the phone doesn't has IP water resistant/proof. So, user have to know too that they would not try watering phone. Seconds, I think every warranty will say that phone get water do not get warranty by the service even the phone still in waranty. In Indonesia region is also the same, every phones damaged by water brought to service center to get service will be charged with no free.

Instead buy a better branded phone in this range like Samsung or Motorola. You can even pick Xiaomi but if you are choosing this phone for camera then you should rather buy a DSLR. Vivo V5s is come with newer software version, bigger internal memory, the others are the same. Using Vivo V5, so far, it is good for multitasking, browsing, YouTube, but for heavy game not recommended. Vivo V5 uses the same processor and GPU like Vivo V5.

Too many V5 series, V5 lite, V5, V5 Plus and V5s. The good with overprice is V5 Plus only. I predict the V5s price in my region is almost the same with V5 price.
