  • In reality both Vivo & Oppo belong to BBK Electronics. They have some kind of technical collaboration between them in terms of smartphone components in order to reduce development cost. As such their phones look alike. Jointly they copy Apple and they try to create an Android based Apple look alike smartphone with same copycat software user experience. Personally I wont mind a bit on the coping part, as long as they deliver good phones at reasonable prices. I always prefer Vivo over Oppo.

  • No Snapdragon 821 or 835. So, it's not super phone

  • No doubt Vivo V5 Plus is a much superior phone than the all plastic bodied Vivo V7+. Moreover a phone costing INR 22K on launch does not even have a FullHD screen, no fast charging and comes with all plastic body. It is 2018 and Vivo must have forgot this while launching the V7+. Fortunately now we have Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro available in India at just INR 14k, a phone which will obliterate V7+ on any ground, be it performance, build quality... anything.

  • 256Gb is working for this phone. The only thing that bothers me is the battery. I think I can use my VIVO V7+ like 8-10 hrs max straight. Unlike my Old Zenfone Max, I can use it for 24 hrs straight. Overall, its a good phone.

  • Guys I'm using this phone from last 4 months and guys it's really an amazing phone.. Battery charges very faster, phone's processing is faster.. The front camera is superb, and after the upgrade you will find portrait mode for the rear cam also that will provide you amazing bokeh affect while the front camera already have it. Battery life is too good, so that you don't have to charge it twice in a day.,even after too much usage.. And all the features you will explore after using it.. Best phone in such price.. And guys just ignore the negative comments..

  • Currently in India the price of Vivo V7+ is INR 22K while that of Vivo V5Plus is INR 16.8K. V5Plus is sizable cheaper by INR 5.2K. If you compare the specs between these two devices you will find V5Plus is a much better phone while being cheaper. I got hold of a V5Plus during Diwali offer at just INR 14K!!! Comparison between V5Plus & V7+: 1) V5Plus belongs to the premium X series lineup. V5Plus is better known as Vivo X9 in China. Whereas V7+ belongs to the budget oriented Y series and is Vivo Y79 in China. 2) V5Plus sports premium full metal uni-body design and the built quality is just terrific whereas V7+ is made from cheap plastic body and does not feel premium. 3) V5Plus sports the Snapdragon 625 processor while V7+ uses the Snapdragon 450.   • Lets get it straight, for the current asking price of V7+ you will get much better options elsewhere. 10 to 12 months down line the price will fall drastically and you can go for it. I generally wait & buy Vivo phones online when their selling price hovers around half the launch price after some discounts. And I only buy Vivo flagships that are launched in India. I bought the Vivo X5Max at INR 17K on 2015, their launch price was INR 33K in 2014. I bought the Vivo V3Max at INR 13K on 2016, their launch price was INR 25K in 2015. I bought the Vivo V5Plus at INR 14K on Oct 2017, their launch price was INR 28K in Jan 2017. At half their asking price, Vivo flagships are indisputably best, as you are getting near flagship user experience at budget smartphone price.

I found Y series phones have: 1) All plastic body 2) HD displays (720p) 3) No fast charging technology support 4) Regular charger Whereas the Vivo V5Plus belongs to their premium X series lineup, known as X9 is China. Premium X series phones will have: 1) All metal unibody design 2) FullHD displays (1080p) 3) Corning Gorilla Glass Display protection 4) Fast charging technology 5) Bundled fast charger As V5Plus have fast charging my phone charges from 0 to 80% in one hour flat. My friends V7+ takes 1 hour and 45 mins to reach 80% battery. As said before I believe a fool will chose the V7+ over the much superior V5Plus.

  • V7+ does have a mediocre audio chip inside just like Vivo V5 Plus. The best audio chips and hence audio quality can be found in Vivo X5Max and current LG flagships like V30+ which have dacs from ESS.

  • You can opt for Xiaomi Mi A1. Right now Vivo V5Plus & A1 are selling for same price, and they both have near identical hardware & looks. But hardware wise V5Plus is slightly superior in my respect as it is better built and more compact retaining the same screen size of A1. Software wise it is a completely different story and boils down to your personal preference.

  • Vivo V7+ or Oppo F5, both are plastic bodied smartphone with 18:9 display ratio. Both are insanely high priced as of now and both cost the same. V7+ comes with better Snapdragon 450 processor with mediocre 720p display, where as F5 gives you better 1080p display but a lower quality MediaTek processor. I will stay away from both.

  • I am a big Vivo fan since their inception in India from late 2014. The primary reason was their attention to audio quality found in Vivo's premium segment X series smartphones & my subsequent love for music. Indeed their catch phrase was "HiFi & Smart" and they made phones to justify the HiFi music playback capabilities. I still own their 2015 flagship Vivo X5Max, primary reasons beings one of best audio quality over headphones you can find on any phone as of today. It used premium ESS audio chips. Second was the sheer built quality of the device. Later on I also possessed and sold their other premium X series phones like X5Pro & XShot. Unfortunately the premium & expensive X series phones received little recognition on international level among proven players like Samsung, LG, HTC. For budget segment they already had their Y series lineup in China and as such strategically introduced the low end of the Y series as Y series internationally, while the higher end Y series budget phones came to be known as V series phones. In 2015 when the X series was available globally, the top end V series phone like V1Max used to be the top end Y series from China aka Vivo Y37. Then from 2016 onwards Vivo completely axed the X series globally due to dwindling sales and projected their entire synergy to V Series & budget Y series lineups. Now the bigger brother of the V series i.e V3Max was derived for X series phone whereas the smaller V3 came from Y series. As such the V3Max of 2016 was actually derived from Vivo X6s in China, but to keep cost low the body of the V3max was made from cheaper construction. I owned the V3Max and it has been my primary device for over a year. A great device and fully satisfied V3Max owner. In 2017 Vivo kept the same theme by launching the V5Plus globally, alsor known as Vivo X9 in China. A premium high quality device whereas the Vivo V5/ V5s was the all plastic budget Y67 model. There is such a big gaping gap in terms of product quality, performance & built quality between V5Plus & V5 even though they look the same. This is primarily because they belong to two completely different lineups in China. I have recently purchased the V5Plus from an online retailer with 50% discount + cashback. At INR 14K final price V5 Plus is a phenomenal phone to me. While holding the V5Plus in my hand I immediately noticed the quality built & it feels this device is built to last. This feeling only comes with their premium X series phones like prior X5Max or an X5Pro models. Premium X series phones will have: 1) All metal unibody design 2) FullHD displays (1080p) 3) Corning Gorilla Glass Display protection 4) Fast charging technology 5) Bundled fast charger Budget Y series phones will have: 1) All plastic body 2) HD displays (720p) 3) No fast charging technology support 4) Regular charger So in late 2017 when there was the hype about Vivo launching the V7+, I was excited and thought it will be the real successor of V5Plus (X9 model) which is the Vivo X20. But it really pained me to find out the released V7+ is actually a budget all plastic Vivo Y79 of China!!! And the V7 is actually Vivo Y75. And with such high asking price of INR 22K for V7+ in India, it is a complete no buy for me. Don''t get me wrong, V7+ is by no means a bad phone, but it actually belongs to the INR 10K bracket in India. So I will altogether skip this all plastic, low quality V7 and hope Vivo brings the X20 to India.

  • i had the same problem bro...with all apps that i been browsing, everything closes abruptly! but after i had the LAST firmware update, the crashes are gone...so do apply the system update, it will solve the problem...as it did with mine.

  • This is the best phone i have owned so far. Why? becuase it does not heat at all. Whether you charge it or keep playing heavy online games for hours. It does not heat !!! Its smooth and the resolution looks bad when you see specifications but actually its amazing and i am not sure how did they do it. But this low resolution thing made the phone faster and removed the heating problem all together. If you check online, there are great phones if you spend simillar or little more amount but they all heat. Only 4 to 5 phones which do not heat and this phone is one of them.

  • This is my third chinese phone brand. After 2 months of use, I can say my Vivo V7+ is better than my Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro and Lenovo K3 Note. I usually play Gods of Rome and Asphalt Xtreme and there's no overheating. Consistent frames after long game periods (3+ hours) I usually get tired, and still I have battery left. The 720p display for sure is a sacrifice for display quality sharpness but you get longer gaming time since it doesnt push so many pixels. The screen display is nice even with lower ppi than my other two phones with 1080p in terms of colors, contrast and viewing angle.

Funtouch is really well optimized and fluid, camera performance is great and it has a dedicated hifi audio chip, good preamp, combined with a set of good earphones in the box. Overall build quality is top notch. If you don't need that, buy another phone but just comparing prices with processor and screen resolution doesn't tell you the whole story and lacks insight.

If your priority is selfie shots and listening to music (it's advertised for that), then go for it (if you don't mind the price). I got to watch an episode of one korean drama, 4 5mins videos in youtube, a 13mins vlive video, 75 facebook messenger.. Thats it.. 60% of my battery was gone. B. There's a border when I watch on full screen. C. There are times it was hard to touch. They said it was an isolated case. Thats why they cant replace the unit..

It has 14nm processor technology and highly power efficient. To be honest it is the tough competitor of SD 625 processor. It also has 1.8GHz clock speed which is more than enough for a normal day to day usage and mid range gaming.

The hifi chip in it makes music listening really worth it i mean i have never heard that quality of a sound in any mobile i have used .. Music lovers would loved it 6- The build quality is really solid and good looking specially the black one which i have is so dope! 7- Last but not the least The new face unlock feature (like apple) is so fast and accurate i dont need to use my finger sensor at all.. I mean it can capture my face from 15 to 20 inch as well easily.. Much faster than samesung iris scanner 8- Price ( Dont bash because in my country Xiaomi and vivo phones are almost the same price) In my country xiaomi mi max 2 and Vivo v7 plus are of the same price Cons: 1- No dual camera setup..
