  • You mu8st be so stupid.. minus a few megabytes, apps on android and ios are the same size, downloading the same content at the same speed.. the only difference in downloading apps is the apple app store just says downloading, while its also downloading the additional content, but the play store actually tells you what its doing. People like you need to read up on what they are talking about before posting

  • when you say ipad is better, it's wrong! I am selling the ipad, but I would not use ipad as monotonous, TAB is great for HD gaming and HD movie, I love my tablet 8.9

  • Don't get the Samsung tablet because around 85% of the games and apps you have to download additional files that take up a lot pf your time and you dont see that in iPad . GEt iPad instead !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It must be a sacrifice that had to be made to reduce the thickness of the device. The 30pin dock at the bottom of the tab seems to be the only promising way to add memory (although an expensive option).

  • @zyexx I think u need to check a see by your self to make sure. My friend just bought one the Tab 8.9 3G version for about US$540 during the launch day yesterday and he confirmed theres only a slot for GSM card and none for micro SD.

  • By definition, this is not a phone as it has only wifi and bluetooth. The only possibly way to use this as a phone would be to use VOIP. That being said, this is a VERY nicely engineered tablet. Samsung sells OLEDs to almost everyone and they saved their best display for their own products. This tab is extremely thin, light and well designed. The Galaxy tabs are the first tablets that compare favorably to an iPad 2 in elegance, performance and features. I plan on getting one of these as soon as they are available.

  • Sorry Mihai this is incorrect. It is only able to share a 3G Internet connection. It is not able to extend a wifi connection.

  • you could connect the tablet through blutooth to a pc for an internet connection and share that internet connection via wi-fi, for example

  • Yes, it is impossible to share wifi network since that would be copying a function of a network repeater not a hotspot.

  • It does not have voice call options like normal phones. From the spec page: "Tablet with no support for GSM voice communication, SMS, and MMS." You will have VOIP options however through apps like Skype etc.
