Vodafone Smart E8 - User Reviews

  • I bought the phone a few months ago and it was working fine until recently when I tried to download some vids,it actually won't download anything,so I tried to delete some old vids and still it won't delete, can anybody tell me how to fix this issue please

  • No...

  • does it have trusted face

  • Go to bettery settings switch on stamina

  • Can't make calls or receive them reseted my phone but still no progress what must I do

  • How can I go back to manual texting? I am stuck on voice texting help

  • I really don't see why peeps are bashing this model. Absolutely nothing wrong for the price point! If you want to play games, by a PS4! If you want multi megapixel professional camera, then buy a Canon or Nikon. If you need more memory, then install a memory card and configure it as internal storage! This is a phone with more than ample phone and messaging apps and one of the better price points when it comes to 4G network capability. Just disable the bloatware that cannot be uninstalled.

  • Mi bought this phone last week Thursday. The battery die within an hour, camera is poor and the is no maximum volume range while I ug in my earphones n play music. 😖😖

  • its slow and bad quality with the camera but you know not the best but okay

  • for the useless app that can't be deleted you can try download a root uninstaller always works for me dont get the free one you try to find a paid one i believe it wont be more than $2

  • Possibly the worst phone I've owned. I've had it less than a day, and it's constantly crashing and restarting. A real stinker. Mind you, for $80 what did I expect.

  • i bought this with low expectations, and to be honest, for the 80 bucks it was pretty good. However, there are some glaring issues, the memory is very low, like someone else said before, you only get something like 2 gbs for yourself. the rest are undeleteable aps that are always running. I gets to the point that you cant even call people because its so overburdened and the "call & message" appjust dies on you.. Camera is very weak aswell.. probably the worst i've experienced.. If you need a desperatly cheap phone go for it, otherwise just buy something better.

  • The phone is not very good. the 8GB storage is a lie because you only get about 4GB or 3GB because the apps that you need to run your phone take up way too much space which is very frustrating because you have to constantly keep deleting things off your storage to make room and the built in apps just take over that space. You also can't play games very good because it doesn't run very well., internet on it is so bad when watching YouTube and I have problems connecting this phone to my computer using a USB cable and Bluetooth. I've tried other phones to connect to my computer and they all work fine. I basically paid $100 for a piece of junk.

  • Is this phone support the OTG function?

  • I really don't see why anyone would buy this phone. I've used it for 7 months and I regret buying this. This phone is so slow, it can't run 2d games without lagging or crashing. The camera quality is bad but much better than some other phones even though it shoots in 480p which is ridiculous for the 2018 market. YouTube is sluggish, making videos stop and then go fast forwarded to where I actually am. The battery lasts for about 4 hours, which is worse than the smart turbo 7 and the SMART 4 MINI which was ok for its time. I had to take out the memory card from my old phone and put it in this because it had a terrible storage space of only 8GB. I am never buying anything from Vodafone ever again because of this. Even if they make the best phone ever, I won't use it. Thanks for putting me off, Vodafone.

  • does this phone have OTG function?

  • Yes it's not powerful but for $48 AUD ($36 USD, £27 GBP) it is very good value especially that it came with a $10 prepaid SIM card. Old school phone with classic Android features such as removable battery, SD card slot, headphone jack, FM radio and stock Android. Nothing to brag about but good for the people who don't demand much and liked earlier Android phones. Note that this phone runs 7.1.1 not 7.1 and this phone has no NFC.

  • 210 is not that bad,210/212 is still used in some smartwatches but lacks punch if put into some overloaded ROM, try flashing it into MIUI7. some friend of mine did that on a 2 year old hisense with almost same spec as this one

  • The crapest phone ever.👎

  • Can only use indoors as the screen is not bright enough. Must be old technology. Also most memory is already used by useless nob-deletable apps. Camera quality is really bad also.

  • Using the Vodafone smart E8 here don't buy... Only got it week or 2 ago and it's the slowest piece of shit ever.. I bought a cracked to shit iphone4 for 20 quid it wasn't even worth that and it was better than this dead dog of a phone

  • I have had 3 other phones; no problems. Had this 5 days, nothing but problems. It uses up all my credit without me knowing. It comes with no instructions.

  • 128 gb

  • I have been a vodafone customer for 15 years. I bought this phone for work and it does everything I want it to do. Sim free and cheap phone with lots of functions. Can't complain

  • i buy voda smart E8 but it seems its very hard to use specially some of the setting are make my life hard and its delayed slow response. no good

  • I bought this phone as a backup or secondary phone but it is taking so long to set up, even as a new phone. Anyone else had this experience?

  • For about USD $40 it is a damn good phone. Can even make phone calls! Awful pics, not even tried vids. Some Apps work but for an Android 7.1 this phone gets "May not work on your device" warnings and some bigger Apps failing to download at all. If you want to take your high end Drone for a fly, forget it but for a quick reply on FB no problems.

  • Considering the Qualcomm MSM8909 Snapdragon 210 was only released in 2015 for mid range market it is not 2012 but the basic phone hardware itself has been around the Chinese markets for years. Qualcomm MSM8909 Snapdragon 210 is limited to 720p 8Mp video but this phone barely touches it at 5Mp anyway. Only thing 2017 is the Android version 7.1 Nougat so in a way it is a 2012 phone upgraded for the umpteenth time plus you'll never have to worry about finding a spare battery!

  • States 128GB SD card but use a good quality brand UHS-1 U1 or U3 speed class. 64GB UHS -1 U1 should be enough for your phone and a lot cheaper.

  • What is the max. capacity memory SD card this telephone supports? Thanks

  • Are you sure it doesnt have NFC? The manual of Smart E8 says it has NFC. Can you confirm this?

  • This device does not have NFC

  • No NFC

  • A phone from 2012 released in 2017. Nice.

  • These specs are pretty below average, especially for a 2017 phone

  • Indeed you can.

  • If you're in the UK then probably, it depends on your current network provider - ask them and check their answer with OFCOM guidance on network switching, the only potential problem would be if your intended new network provider does not operate on the transmission frequencies the E8 does.

  • Total rubbish. This makes the Smart Turbo 7 look like a masterpiece, and the smart turbo 7 is the bain of my existence.

  • Is it possible to port the number from an existing (NOT Vodafone ) phone to the E8.

  • Really? Funny, only the phone was only just released in June so how can you have them all returned "in few months" when they've only been on sale for a month? LOL

  • i sell alot of these bunch of crap in my store. and in a few moths there all there again to go to warranty. lool wath a piece of crap

  • super fast phone with great features. you should try it. you'll never be disappointed with this. :D

  • This is not even a entry level phone lel

  • Funny this phone. Wonder if someone buys it :-)
