There are a few things I like with this tablet. The KB is a nice break from typing on a supertiny smartphone and I actually like the feel of it. Watching movies on it is decent with a clear picture. There are several major drawbacks though that make this a pass for me on any future purchases. Its unbelievably sluggish in almost every use. from opening any aps to transitioning to different parts of the app once it was open including kindle(If you use the kindle app as much as I do this is very annoying). Games like Candycrush lagged horribly although it did play 1941 reasonably well. Construction materials are also a concern so take extra care not to be rough with it. I can't really say if this is a great bang for the buck since I have only owned this and my nexus 10 which performed much better in every aspect but was also 300 dollars more expensive.

I bought my Vodacom Power Tab 10 SECONDHAND and have had no problems at all. It works perfectly. Thanks Vodacom! Sure, there are better tablets out there (you'll always find better sooner or later), but I think this is a pretty cool device nonetheless. Everything works and the tablet delivers on its promises.

Does anyone experience start up problems? Bought mine two weeks ago. Since the weekend when i turn it on, it powers up, goes to the vodacom display with the red part filling halfway then shows powered by android app again. Does that about 5 times before saying android is starting, optimizing app 1 of 122. This takes ten minutes. By the time my tablet is powered up and running, i dont feel like using it anymore. Power Tab 10 super awesome for reading my PDFs, vieweing images and videos, however nothing is more irritating than the usb port, first of all the charger is too short and slow to charge, secondly it sometimes does not connect to my PC when i need to transfer stuff to the tablet, also im afraid that the port might get damaged by other chargers i connect which actually charge it better and quicker.

I have the Vodacom 10.1 inch Tablet and this is the dummest and Stuppist thing ive ever see. I cant watch a video for 20mints than it freezes. If I play game on it after 10minutes it just stuck and than i cant do anything on it Than when i swittch it of or Restart it It takes up to 30 minutes or sometimes one HOUR To get back on I use a 32GIG Memory Card in it And fisrt i thought that the Memory Card was the Problem Because of its Size but after i removed it and used it without any Memory Card its still is Fuuuulll of Problems....And yo i Really Regret the Day i Bought it... But Lucky for me i got insurance on it so im taking it bakc and choose another phone that i Hope will Work Better... Than this Stupid Tablet THING...

You can purchase an OTG cable from any mobile supplier. It works greatly. Initially, you would need to download an app to get it set up. I have a mouse, external keyboard, USB, etc conected to my SMART TAB 10. Try it out. Loads of fun !! Expect to pay around R150-00 to R200-00 for the OTG cable.

-NOTE: 1) I'm writting this review from a Smart Tab 10- 2) FOR THE SAME MONEY YOU CAN BUY A GOOGLE NEXUS 7 , WHICH IS WAY BETTER THAN THIS IN EVERY FIELD- I've been "playing" with this tablet for a few months already but what I can say about it is mostly bad things. The pro is that it has great battery life compared to any smartphone I have because it has a larger battery, obviously. The battery in my device has been replaced because it broke down after a couple of months. The cons: >The touchscreen is slightly unresponsive and has a small delay even though the delay in the settings is set to none >The screen resolution is very low >The CPU is performing low. I use a CPU monitor that tracks both cores independently. While writting this one core kept running at 100% while the other ran from 60 to 100% and I was NOT multitasking. >Early Android version, very buggy but you can install a newer version anytime so this is just a minor issue. Quick verdict: Don't waste your money on this. It might be named "Vodafone Smart Tab" but it's actually a ZTE product(Note that ZTE is a Chinese company, so don't expect much). As I said at the very begining, you can get a Google Nexus 7 for the same amount of money .This is definitely not worth it.

please note that most of the comments are not relevant to hands on experience, im from Sri Lanka and the way it works here is quite fine and can say that it is very much similar to Huawei 7 tab . very user friendly and fast

I'm 19 and The Vodafone smart tab 10" is my first tab and the first day i had it, it froze. luckily the battery was almost dead but still. A week later it shut down and only booted up 3 hours later after i tried to turn it on again. The next day i updated the system software and after that its been fine, i only experienced slight lag and short freezing but nothing major. (I only prey it stays that way) the tab has great functionality and is "average" on the internet. Its heavy though and not as easy to carry around as the gorgeous galaxy tab! The battery on the other hand is brilliant! And lasts the entire day with full on use. The tab has recently been discontinued and i think it might be due to all the trouble with the software... still i love my Vodafone smart tab and it brings me great joy. One more thing, can anyone tell me if its possible to make and receive voice calls on this tab? And if so how...?

Got mine from the Vodacom Store South Africa two months ago. One thing it comes with a free neopreen sleeve and cannot find cheap cases around at all. Vodacom store ask a 6th of the item price for the original case. Rediculous. This is one heavier devices compared to the Galaxy and other to hold around and be mobile can give you some muscle cramps because of its steel edge casing. Boring android app. but has speed and fast internet connections in my area. Downloaded quite a few apps and uninstalled quite a few too from the STORE. Otherwise I am more on my BlackBerry than my clever brick I am stuck with 24 mounth contract.

Yep - I have mine about 2 months, really only use it for the internet radio app, if I look at it, it re-boots. I have a Galaxy S3, much more reliable. Its a pity it keeps rebooting because otherwise I really like like. However it is too unreliable for my work.

When comparing the tablets on paper and price, the Vodafone wins hands down. Ive had mine for 8 months and I am now on number 2. The first one just refused to swich on and now with the second one, I can you tube a bit before it shuts down and my internet is no longer working. I am so sick of it that I use it as a paper weight.

If we compare the tablets respect to 2 criteria like performance and price, Vodafone tablet is really good option. I have it for 4 mounths and everything is good, i don`t have any problem with it. My friend has motorola xoom, i can say that Vodafone tablet beats motorola.

Man what a great device. Has its little malfunctions but it's like any computer one needs to learn to rectify and avoid. My baby is fast on the internet, quick response, great wifi connections, actually all connections are like magic and I am having a fab time for the past two weeks now. Keeping me awake till 12 at night. Battery is great for such a powerful device... Has many functions switched and downloaded crazy stuff from the store. Satisfied with tablet now. Got replacement (3rd batch - latest) and it works perfect. The unit before gave me a lot of troubles and was from 1st batch. It had a lot of crashes, restarts etc. But now ok...Recommend it as value for money. Note : freezing with big memory cards (16GB+).

I just got this and it is an excellent piece of kit ...no issues at all ...with the amount of apps out there you can do absolutely anything with this.....I'm a current galaxy s2 user and a devoted Android user and this tab is much the same as the galaxy tab and Toshiba but with a much better finish......well done vodafone for bringing this out .........martin

Don't buy cause it randomly reboots. Upgrade, disabling of wifi or 3g,, Removing many software etc none worked. Vodafone shop didn't accept device back. Fast elegant, feature rich tablet but it don't work

ahh...thanks but the link was pretty much usless the site is like a search engine that shows no relsult to the search vodafone smart tab 10... thanks for trying though i guess.. found the manual online which is the manual in the box and yeah says it can do itbut doesnt explain how.. i will skip thinking of buying this and wait for the Acer A700 or get the Asus Transformer Prime 64G models. pay for you get

the settings you need to put in what MTN have speak to your MTN call center and ask what the settings must be.. as far as I know no Vodacom Phones and tablet are not locked to a network. but your settings is the reason why it not working... its the same if you buy a modem from vodacom and use MTN sim.. Cell C though uses the same settings as Vodacom. PS you going to void your waranty by using your MTN Sim in a Vodacom Product... (if you bought it this was in the paper that you signed unless the store you bought it from was retarded and didnt tell you think) im a sales consultant if you wondering.

Freezing all the time. I have replaced two within first 15 days. Modem died each time. Dont hold volume and power button. You will have to wait for some time to power it on again. Piece of crap.

Tab was brilliant when bought, but after a couple of days it started to reboot randomly and now it doesn�t want to turn on. Don�t know about any troubleshooting for tablets but any suggestions would be appreciated.

Yes i have the same problem of the tablet freezing up but not only on the home screen. Tablet also from time to time restarts on its own or just shuts down. Had it replaced after 3 days but still get the same problem.

Collected mine from Rivonia last Friday and spent most of the weekend getting to know it. My first Tab. First impressions and after having had a few mates who have teh Galaxy Tab is that this is an absolute winner and in no way at all is anything less than than the Galaxy. Runs well, battery held up perfectly, resolution is terrific. This Tab will give Galaxy big competition if consumers can get over the Vodfone vs Galaxy branding. It rocks!

We have a open box etc no live demo but where can u plug in a usb or hdmi in this the manual says nothing and the ad on youtube shows it does but how? As i am interested in buying etc but im more curious as we selling them but not as confudent as the sam 10.1

sms, mms, and gsm call are working on this tablet.Standby time, while fully operative(examp. when u watch movies one after another) is aprox. 7 hours.Charging time is around 4 hours.I have this tablet for 10 days now, and so far its working perfectly.Skype, web browser (i reccomend Dolphin), games ( tried PES 2012, nfs shift), everything works fine.cheers

As a user of Vodafone Smart Tab 10.1 aka ZTE v11a, a small overview of the device, for those who have not bought, and have plans to buy it. Smart tab design is beautiful, is not robust or heavy to carry (hold). It is all well blended. Very good screen, with no exaggerated colors (normal), but notes that there is little response when bad touch, negligible. Very good processor and gpu, faster, well proven in the games. The camera is worse, but what do expect from a 5mp. User memory is 12GB, which is very commendable, it means not to care so much memory and at the beginning (which depends on the purpose of using it, ebook, movies, games, music ...) Software itself is solid, but has a problem with the launcher, the other must be installed, and will work great. Mkv video files open without problems, also flac music files. If you look at its price and what the device offers fully pays to take the Vodafone Smart Tab. I hope that Vodafone will update the software on the ICS. Two thumbs up for this product and recommend it for a sweet shopping. Not a single USB port and mini USB. Gets a small bag for him, charger, cable with which you can connect to your computer. Headphones, which are not great quality. PS. device makes sense with the portable Internet, and there comes to the fore its use as a portable device
