Xiaomi Mi A3 - User Reviews

  • Hello, does Mi a3 comes with a notification led?

  • I must admit that I loved it. A powerful camera Only 4GB of RAM make a difference. But its AMOLED screen is definitely a costly mistake. It did not endure the first accident, and, in theory, I lost my investment. Well, the cost of the screen is basically 80% of the cell phone. So it does not merit reinvesting on a screen that cannot be looked at because it is damaged again.

  • B4 I bought d MI A3, I was already using a redmi note 4x. Which uses IPS 1080p, I compared d display with dat of Note 7 & Note 8..d MI A3, was better & more compact... d IPS FHD looked washed & poor wen compared 2 redmi note 4x, note 7 & note 8.. I was lucky 2 have d priviledge of course comparing dem side by side.. Right now am using both mi a3 & note 4x.. D only edge d note4, note 7 & 8 had over d MI A3 is dat it is brighter under direct sunlight while d MI A3 is dimmer.. But over all I prefer d MI A3 to d N4, N7 & N8..

  • many people also face slow fingerprint issue. add same finger for two or three times, it will work much faster

  • if u like stock android, compact design, ad free experience with a good camera, go for mi a3. its awesome with gcam. and gcam works perfectly with this device note 8 pro is a bulky phone with large display. its processor is better.

  • with fast charges, it charger quickly to 60 % in first 30 minutes. but takes overall more than 2 hours to complete charging

  • its not the visibility issue. you can see pixels when background is white. pixels are not visible with dark background. with android q update, there will be complete dark mode, so it wont be an issue

  • Received November security update around 200mb and it is good for nothing. Still "night light" mode reject finger print, have to manually unlock. it seems adaptive brightness issue has been fixed. there are many other issues exist, need to check, those fixed or not...

  • Note 8 pro or mi a3 better?not a gamer, phone mostly use for photos/ video and editing

  • If I use 18 w charger what time it will take to be fully charged

  • how is screen quality and is it really bad in sunlight ?

  • so, i have been using this device for a week now. here is my review Pros design feels premium and build quality is excellent battery life is amazing, 8-9 hours of SOT on wifi and 7 hours on data phone is smooth and no lags at all game play is good but in low graphics and it has only 720p display camera is best in price range. i have installed gcam and its performance is definitely near flagships of previous year audio output is loud although it has a single speaker has type c cons display is poor, you can see pixel with a white background but its ok with black background also color calibration is poor as colors are too saturated battery takes 2.5 hours to charge no matter what charger you use

  • It is the battery management that Google gives you. So it should be the best for that reason. And it may improve in Android 10.

  • Are sure bro ? Maybe you have a fake xioami ? LoL ?

  • it is just updates first month after using i have same problem i think next updates will change situation

  • I experience a faster battery drainage in MI A3 after using it for a few months. I do no know the reason why. Battery sucks.

  • Not an expert but the screen reselution on the Red mi is better (on paper) but I´ve from people that you really don´t see any difference. The Mi a3 has a quite better camera but the Red Mi a bigger phone/ screen.

  • redmi note 7 or mi a3?which one has better screen quality and worth to buy?

  • Thank you

  • Thank you for link, also for the rest differences between those 2, in the end i ordered Note 8 global version, price was the same for Mi A3 and Note 8 in Global versions.. There is no ads if you set country region f.e. Germany. Yes in first boot and when you set up the phone, you need to turn off recomandations in Security>>Cleaner etc (in that sub menu), in Downloads, in Music in File Manager, and that's it, it only takes like 40 seconds (if you know where to look), after that no ads at all, but like i said, Region Country is most important, if you set Reguon to another country (India), couple off apps just stard downloading by itself Flipkrat etc, in Settings>>About phone, even there is ads >>Follow Me (Insta, FB, Tw).. And about the phone and the screen, yes Mi A3 is smaller, more compact, with better selfie camera (also with better Sony back sensor), but don't know, that 720P is not good for Youube videos, also text is more blured. Fps is slower, AndroidOne is good, but maybe to simple, but still Mi A3 is a great choice (price was 125 euros for 4/64 with shipping, and for that price, there is no better AndroidOne phone, just look at Nokia 6.2 what processor is inside, what battery in mAh, and price (30-40% more), for what? Corning Gorila Glass 3? Mi A3 have 5.

  • Its a super amoled screen

  • Actually, note 8's screen is better. You may notice the difference easily. But if you are thinking of taking the best pictures, I would recommend you to buy the Mi A3. Mi A3 has a camera sensor from Sony which is better than the one that has the note 8 which comes from Samsung. Remember to take into account about the fingerprint scanner as well, the one in note 8 is faster and is in the back of the phone. Mi A3 has it on the screen and it's a bit slower than note 8.

  • Well just take a look: For gaming you can take a look at the redmi note 8 pro, it's really done for gaming, as such it has a giant screen, a big battery and it's pretty heavy but it's really fast, it will fly through the toughest games currently available, it has moderate heating. It's about $200 USD. Also check out the realme x2, this one is really fast too but it's a little lighter and smaller, and has a way better amoled screen, it runs cooler than the above. It's about $225. Basic specs are similar to the Mi 9T.

  • I saw it and now I'm getting it he's amazing lol

  • Yes there is: Looking at this price you can just buy a new phone, sometimes you can repair the screen instead of replacing it if the damage was very limited.

  • Why is not good for heavy games ? And what phone around 250$ do u suggest me?

  • This phone does not have a heating issue but performance in heavy games is not good, if you want it for that this is not your first option.

  • Yes, you are right, I didn't notice that.

  • The 48mp option is only available in 4:3 aspect ratio

  • This mi a3 phone good no bad whats plz tell me.

  • you can change it from 12MP to 48MP and the other way round

  • Im thinking to buy MiA3 .. i play mostly games.. How is the gaming experience with MiA3? Does the heatness goes up to much? Pls guys need a real opinion

  • check aliexpress

  • I bought it a week ago, very fast and reliable phone for this maney. Only thing that i don't liked is that you can't choose the MP of camera when shooting a picture, its available only for video recordings.

  • well, I broke my touch screen 27 days earlier ... believe me, there are no mi a3 screens for sale anywhere and the phone is so fragile .... still searching!!!

  • Sorry for that, I am yet to be hands on with the note 8 but here's something you can watch: It's a tough choice really, better see them live both, to me the 720p display is plain unacceptable so in that front I would go with note 8 despite ips, cameras seem a close call, I would like to see a gcam comparison first. As for OS, android one may free you from ads but it's a nag to setup and it's not optimized as you say. I expect performance to be lacking in the note 8 as with the Mi A3 but due to price you can't really complain too much. All in all a difficult choice, display and price the note 8 wins, Mi a3 has the sony sensor but in the samples it's not really conclusive. Let us know how you did.

  • Mi cc9 and that one you mention are worthy alternatives but the price man.

  • if you wanna better chipset SD712 10nm better display FHD+ better battery 4500mah & 22.5W fast charge Dedicated sd card kindly MI A3X or u can also call it MI A4 with difference variant 6/256...8/128

  • Belive me, "kind of grey" is the best one in live, i was all the time think that "not just blue" is the best one, watching on Youtube, but in real, grey is one to go.. But if you have chance, to look somewhere all 3 colors will be the best, it's a personal choice after all

  • Thank you, but i was saying for Note 8, not, Note 8 Pro, that phone is to big, also MediaTek, and it cost more money. Mi A3, and Note 8 (one grey, another black color) have same price, and same 64/4GB memory.. On the one hand i like design of Mi A3, 3D curved back, smaller dimensions, also OLED is a plus, but on the other hand i like optimisation of MIUI, 4 back cameras, faster fingerprint sensor (on the back), also, resolution is better, 409ppi vs 286ppi.. Because of that i was ask opinions here, because, tomorrow i will buy one of that 2 phone. Thank you for information

  • Is anyone facing problems in IRCTC booking through this phone after update. The app does not progress after trying for a station input

  • Neither display is too bright, if you want a small device you won't like to hold a big 200+ grams heating device, if you are not too much of a gamer or care about camera, take a look at the m30s and the realme X2, both have great 1080p amoled display and the M30s features a 6000maH battery, just two options out there, many others exist.

  • It is striking you can't make up your mind about this, I can tell you I hate white phones but the next guy will love it so what. Better look at the phone specs, you can get burned if you pick the wrong ones.

  • These are very different devices, different size the 8 pro is fast and this is slow, both displays are cheap, this is low res and dim and the 8 pro is junk IPS, great displays from xiaomi are the 1080p amoled. Most people seem to like the sony sensor in this one, camera and battery life are the strong points of this phone.

  • Guys which color is the best?

  • A3 , Redmi Note 8 / Pro which one has better camera ? 1 and 2 and 3 , and are they have OTG support? or only tell about A3 OTG

  • ...Also, Xiaomi MI A3 don't have Super Amoled, but AMOLED (only), made by Samsung, or in another words.. Screen is similar to those on Samsun Galaxy S3 (from 2012), sad but true, but hey, for 140 euros.. i think it's usable

  • On Youtube video, maybe, but in reallity it's a question.. Problem with Mi A3 screen is, it's to dark for OLED panel, even on max brightness, even if is on auto or manual (with light senzor off)..

  • CC9e, won't, but CC9 is here in global version (even better spec, i think 710 SD, full HD plus Super Amoled..) design is identical, but little bigger phone (and screen), price is about 200-220euros.. Of, and have MIUI, not Stock Android (AndroidONE)... For your problem, you can find some dialer app (to replace stock) from Play Store, with that option you need.

  • Can anyone tell me whats better to chose from, this, Xiaomi Mi A3, or Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, same configuration (4/64GB), same price, same Global versions.. Is display of Note 8 better in real, than display of Mi A3, is it brighter? I really like compact size, and curved back of this phone, but that resolution (compared to Note 8 resolution for identical price..) don't know what to chose from for 2 days.. If someone have A3 and Note, side by side, for display comparison, battery life.. will be great. thanks in advance.

  • MI A2 uses 1080p because it has a LCD display which is cheaper compared to the MI A3 which uses an OLED display which is significantly pricier compared to a LCD.

  • Xiaomi A series are going to get a yearly downgrade not upgrade, you see MIUI has a built in ad/spam machine, not having that means plain lost revenue so what's the point.

  • Completely agree stock android is your opportunity to spend a couple of days figuring out how to do what non android one phones will do out of the box, bloatware was a concern to me when phones were 8 gb but now it doesn't make a big difference (and xiaomi lets you uninstall it). The only good thing going for android one for Xiaomi phones basically is an alternative to the ad centric MIUI but for other brands there's no real advantage.

  • hd+ superamoled better than fhd+ ips

  • Xiaomi mi a3 or redmi note 7?which one has better screen?

  • I was very much troubled by this before buying the phone. My previous phone was a 1080p Super AMOLED but honestly, I wouldn't have noticed the difference at all. Perhaps the lower brightness and this is only when you want to read for a long time under direct sunlight. Do not worry about this, the screen looks great!

  • Why the screen resolution for mi a3 is reduced?? while the mi a2 come with 1080p FullHD and this device only come with 720p HD

  • Mi A3 and stock Android is a pure heap of steaming shit. You cannot set your caller ID to be shown at called partner's phone, and have in any part very poor setting opportunities, it is not at all worth its price. I hope Xiaomi CC9e will come out in global version - same hardware with MIUI instead of this unusable shit called stock Android. Hardware is acceptable.

  • you wan improve the fingerprint by disabling the animation...you can try..no root needed Credits: XDA Dev

  • I had the same dilemma but I'll definitely go for this one... Nokia 7.2 has a far inferior battery life and uses a samsung sensor which produces images of less quality than the sony one used in mi a3... I'm still hoping for an update on the fingerprint sensitivity...

  • MIA3 just shots great photos ,wide camera is very usefull and great , gcam on mi a3 makes selfies awsome ,pure detail and color , videos are 60fps ,just great .battery if you are not gamer lasts day and a half ,and the phone works without lags

  • All stock android( pixel android , android one) device have options to change navigation buttons( settings - system - gesture - swipe up on home button). Its just Xiaomi doesn't wants MI a3 users to use old outdated navigation gesture !!!

  • I had a microsft lumia 650 and then bought nokia 5.1 plus and it had way worse headphones audio quality, so I guessed it was the mediatek processor's dac. I bought this which had a snapdragon processor hoping for better headphones audio quality, and the signal is still flater and of lower volume than 650's. There are no available external dacs/amplifiers in my country. Lg's phones with quad dacs are way too expensive (if any cheap lg phone has a quad dac it probably has no gorilla glass) .Nokia 5.1 plus also had android one and had three button navigation. I guess they changed that.

  • It will have option for 3 buttons, pils shaped home, or, (same as in iPhones) gestures, but, that is build in in Android 10.. So, after update to 10 (i guess by the end of this month), A2 last year got Pie in November

  • this is stock android, so we cant get 3 navigation buttons. pure Android only 2.

  • I do not know whether non-android one phones have this option, but this phone has no option of switching to old navigation buttons. If you buy this you will have to get used to two button navigation. Notify me if there is a way to change that (there is no option on system>gestures) that involves no rooting

  • I'm in dilemma, confused which one to purchase Android one between mia3 and Nokia 7.2. My main priority is good camera, good battery backup. I'm not a gamer.. Please help me. Thanking in advance :)

  • Guys , one thing i want to clear , selecting a mid range phone is not an easy task :) It's all based on your priorities. my priority is camera and display..so i bought Mi A3 For 12k , who is giving Amoled with in display fingerprint 32mp selfie camera even in dark light it's brilliant . HD+ is just alright, won't find its as minus , Amoled balanced that Am not a gamer , so iam ok with sd 665 also Android one is no nonsense UI YOU CANT GET ALL FEATURES IN A MID RANGE PHONE , FOR THAT YOU HAVE TO GO 4 FLAGSHIP :) So don't get confused by other opinions and reviews , plan accordingly to your Top priorities

  • If those problems appear after OTA (maybe october 5 sp).. Factory reset your device, and 99% will be ok, i don't have problems with wi-fi (2.4 or 5gHz) or audio call via network or voip (Viber, WhatsApp..).. So, something is wrong in october 5 update, at least, with your unit, bit hard reset will solve that.. Just make sure to first back up photos, videos, etc..

  • Been using Redmi from 5,6,now 7 but the Mi A3 has very poor resolution compared to the the ones I have used will settle for the Redmi note 8 pro

  • I have had my Redmi Note 4 now for two years and two months and still works like a dream! Best phone I've ever had! My only problem is that I would like a more compact phone and that's why I'm looking for options. I'm also interested in knowing if the quality of the Xiaomi phones is still as good and durable as this old phone's.

  • I really agree with you, because at the same price here in Brazil (where everything is expensive) only the A30 which was watching, but the performance, cameras, sound and screen even being HD dragged me to the Mi A3. Maybe I miss MiUi but it's a beautiful device.

  • I used google translator, sorry for errors. In my case the sound at least on the second day did not reset itself. Really the screen bug has, but did not need to shut down or restart. I just used the window manager and asked to close all doing that the word withheld also disappeared.

  • I'm from Brazil and I used google translator, I'm sorry for errors. In my case the biometry even with film is normal, just not fast like the Mi 8 lite I had.

  • I currently have a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, I got it February last year, haven't had a single problem with it 'til this day and I use it a lot. I'm very happy with its performance and it's great value for money. I obviously can't speak for their newer devices or other users' experiences, I obviously also don't know when it is going to fail but yeah just thought I'd mention this since there's no other replies yet.

  • Depends on why you buy it for, if you want it for good display, good fingerprint sensor or gaming do NOT buy it. If you want it for camera, battery life, stock android, go ahead, it may serve you well. Remember there are many, many phones out there in the price range, choose wisely.

  • That's a fair review for a change. I might add that the wide angle camera is pretty mediocre.

  • I bought one for my Fiancée as she needed a new phone and this got a lot of good reviews. The camera is excellent as is the screen even with the pentile matrix. The in screen finger print sensor works very well and it looks stunning in blue. However it won't stay connected to WiFi with some forums suggesting dropping wsa2 or even going fully unsecured, couldn't get either of these to work. Also more fundamentally worry is the fact that it won't make a phone call of more than 20 seconds without loosing audio. It is possible that the particular device we got was faulty but the WiFi connecting seems to be a commonly reported issue. It is worth noting that none of these problems arose before the OTA update

  • Can we purchase Mi A3 phones or not

  • I bought the mi a3 last 3 weeks and I repair my mi a3 3 times but the repair is free. I don't mind 720p display and the display looks gorgeous and very good. The specs and camera is good enough to me.

  • 6 out of 10 times fingerprint fail to recognize

  • P.s. The phone is absolutely gorgeous in looks.

  • Using mi a3 for last one week. Superb cameras. Both main and front. Portrait mode and slow motion videos are also good. Excellent battery. Main speaker is quite loud. Display is somewhat disappointing; so is finger print sensor. Sunlight legibility of screen is also mediocre. Android one is for those who want to build their mobile OS from scratch, by installing everything of their own choice.

  • Please don't purchase this mi a3 mobile, no nwe futures are there and it's not friendly.

  • what?? realme 3 is worse in every single way...

  • I read about some bugs on this phone about text and images overlaying or sticking to the phone screen. Does anyone else have this issue? See here - There's also the issue where volume turns down completely to 0 on its own, without you switching to silent or vibrate mode.

  • no doubt mi a3 the best

  • I am getting issue with fingerprint sensor, it is not working with thumbprint. i tried delete and re add and delete, switchoff and re add. but still issue with thumbprint. it is working fine with index finger. sometimes ( very rare case ) both are not working. has any one faced similar issue ? any fix ?

  • realme 5

  • If someone wanna Samsung phone, for identical price (more-lese 2-5 euros..) We can get Samsung Galaxy A20e. Is it better than Mi A3? I eon't think so. A20e have plastic (shiny) back, slow fingerprint sensor (slower than od Mi A3, under screen), only 3000mAh battery (but, it's not bad in real life usage).. Screen.. Well it's a similar resolution, but PLS tehnology, and i muzt say it looks good, almost, like Super Amoled on Mi A3 (just brighter). Cameras, way, eay better on Mi A3, back even stock, with Gcam pretty good, front is 2x better on Mi A3.. So thats it folks, if someone in Europe wants similary priced Samsung, and from 2019, there is choice A20e. My wote (for that price) goes to Mi A3, even if i don't like to much restrictions of androidONE (or Stock on Pixels) software..

  • Which is best mi a3 or realme 5

  • Tell me which Samsung Model gives Super Amloed Screen at Half of MiA3 Price? Just chill dude

  • Thanks bro... I buy this phone... Nd order today...

  • actually it was a best phone im using past of 2 months i never faced any problems in this. really amazing phone MI A3 worth our budget

  • can samsung provide snapdragon , indisplay fingerprint, amazing camera, android one in this budget ? If yes then please suggest me the samsung model name.

  • i cant believe a 720 p screen on mi a3....shocker.......whoever bought this phone i feel sorry for you. They charged the price for AMOLED screen...........but samsung AMOLED 720p comes at half the price of this phone.

  • If your budget match with the phone then undoubtedly buy it..it's amazing phone inthis price range. If you want better camera result install gcam.

  • Hello everyone suggest me I am buy this phone mi à3... Can us 20-25 day... tell me this camera, bettery, screen, parroceser, all phone.. good Nd bad... Parchage yes or no...tell me...

  • Yes sensor is not working properly in outdoor

  • If you've used fhd+ extensively phone. You are going to notice the low resoltion of this phone. 720p is 720p whether amoled or ips. And that's the weakest point of this phone followed by battery

  • Thank you, but it says; this product can't be shipped to the selected country :(

  • Mi A3 is good but it has some cons firstly it has hd+ super amoled display of 6.1" dot drop display which xiaomi call it another con is that it's not good for heavy users like who do video editing of Gaming Pubg runs at low setting i dont why inspite of pay 13k rupees common xiaomi provide good specs but their also pros like under display optical fingerprint under 13k xiaomi became first brand to provide this ad secondaly grollia glass 5 back and front mine which i am using is more than white hope you like my review and one thing more its proximity sensor does not work well in outdoor i dont know why and no dedicated slot for sd card sound output is good and its support widvine l3 also in it .

  • nokia 7 plus

  • Mi a3 best

  • Look here:

  • 135$? Where? Even on online shops from China is more than 150$

  • Hiw is the battery life in real life usage, is it similar to Note 7 or better/worse, because it runs on androidONE, not MIUI. Also is there any problem with this phone, someone says proximity sensor ia not the best? Thank you

  • Which better Nokia 7 plus or Xiaomi Mi A3?

  • If you like AndroidOne phones, this is the best

  • Right.. I bought it only 135$

  • I never had a Xiaomi phone, but I would like to know if a Xiaomi phone can be used for up to 4-5 years ? I dont really trust the quality of the phone if it is so cheap and the Mi A1 & A2 had many issues. How long do you normally use a Xiaomi phone until you buy a new one ?

  • Maybe change ur earphone set

  • best budget phone ever

  • are their A series any good?

  • Screen has problems with white pixels only if you look really close. There're some green/pink pixels around the white ones.

  • Use Poweramp or Neutron Music Player and enable hi fi sound at this apps settings and choose 192 khz

  • The sound quality in the 3.5mm earphones jack is bad . For me it is unusable quality. Lots of distortion. Maybe someone knows if this is software issue , that can be fixed , or is it a hardware low quality

  • Sure, end of november

  • Do is support Dual VoLTE and dual VoWIFI (Voice ovel LTE and Voice over WiFI or WIFI call)? This phone is Dual LTE, so both SIM cards can be used as 4G at same time?

  • Thanks man.

  • Anyone else experience with a issue regarding "Ambient display" feature following October update? Before that update, it was working fine.. but now it's not. Can someone share thier experience or a possible solution.. Thanx in advance..

  • We all expected that the low resolution screen would result in great gaming performance but it went all bad, real world tests show this thing to be so bad in gaming, somehow the dim low resolution 720p screen was not enough to help the slow SOC perform. For about $25-30 USD more you can have the way more powerful redmi note 8 pro, people please THINK, for half of that the M30s with FHD amoled and 6000maH.

  • MI A2 has type C port only so type c earphone will work. the phone should be good for next 2 years software wise as its Android one. as for durability, its Aluminium back frame so should survive wear and tear and depends on your use. Only thing to consider is the smallish battery ie 3000 mah.

  • Nokia 7.2 review is up at gsmarena, have a look. A3 seems to be a good phone other than the screen. with current price cuts Nokia 8.1 is also a attractive device.

  • That's all because of the lower screen resolution that it's able to perform well. Most if not all phones with SD660 came with a 1080p resolution, that's twice as much pixels to render. That is why the mi A3 is actually a good gaming phone in this price range. In fact the SD 665 is actually a little weaker than the SD 660 in raw performance but runs cooler and more energy efficient.

  • Definetly this, have been using Xiaomi for awhile now and I must say, best phone I've ever used.

  • Pro's Con's - Super Amoled screen - 720P screen - Stock Android - No NFC - Modern design - Fingerprint scanner implementation - Battery Life - 3.5mm jack - Price

  • DID google cam support this device

  • waiting the andriod 10 coming?

  • This or Nokia 7.2 (6GB RAM model)?

  • It's a good phone, compact, screen is little to dark (even with max brightness) but its ok, only icons and search bar are to big, because of 720p+ res.. Another plot twist, kind of grey, really, in live looks way better than not just blue, or more than white.. If someone want usable "androidone" phone, new phone, but under 150 euros, Mi A3 is the only one, at least it have way smaller top, even botton, than similary priced Nokia (HMD) 4.2 with differente processor, even, screen type.

  • Its true .. i already done it ..

  • For those who keep whinning about poor pubg graphics on sd665 phones, install any pubg graphics tool from play store. Run it.. unlock hd and above options..set FPS at max possible. Now run the game. There in the game setting u LL fine all the graphic options unlocked. Start playing and see the real potential of sd665 which is currently being hidden away by pubg game dev to discourage sd665 against sd660. In fact call of duty battle royale sucks on sd660 but awesome on sd665..sd660 just can't handle more than 30fps but 665 runs at a constant 60fps. Sd665>sd660 in both performance and efficiency

  • Nokai 8.1

  • First in the list but there are any number of them listed there for you to consider: As for your phone, the SD 660 it has is still doing well and will continue to do well, I wouldn't worry too much unless you do heavy gaming.

  • Hey guys I like Mi A2 better than Mi A3. Will Mi A2 survive up to two years? I mean good performance and not the latest updates. Also will any type C earphone work with it? Suggestions please.

  • For NFC on the cheaps you can take a look at the Motorola One Action, cheaper than this (Rs 11999 currently) and it has 1080p screen, 128gb storage and android one.

  • In different versions for different versions? What do you mean by that?

  • 720 PPI?? LOL. I am sure you know what you are talking about, also go see a decent phone before talking. The display is junk, you can choose not to care but that does not make it any better and it's damn slow but that is not going to show if you open the calculator.Go get PUBG and try the high settings, you come back later to give a real opinion.

  • Great phone.Ignore the so called experts regarding the 720ppi, it's s good screen with vivid amoled colours.Great battery and camera and no lags- what's not to like

  • "LTE-A (2CA) Cat6 400/50 Mbps" is it true ? i dont think so... Samsung S7 support only 450/50M and 3CA. And Qualcomm SDM665 support 3CA / Cat12 od DL and 2CA/Cat13 on UL. Really Xiaomi degrade mobile data on very low level ?

  • Does this phone come in different versions for different versions?

  • Nokia 2.2

  • Is there any information about a pro version? I don't need better screen, but without NFC is this not OK for me.

  • Who cares about android one if this phone right now stutters and lags at any significant load, wanna see what's going to be good for in 3 years. As for the screen the pentile amoled effective resolution will be 33 percent lower than an ordinary 720p screen. And 720p itself is absolutely substandard for 2019 midrange phones.

  • Which phone at this price has AMOLED, unlockable bootloader and is on Android One?

  • yes it supports OTG

  • It's actually $170 and there are better devices in the price *range*, can't understand people that have to treat themselves cheap just for the sake of it, how can it hurt to spend some extra $30 or so, there's nothing worthwhile you can do with them, it's simply dumb, you get a bad display and bad gaming performance for two years to save a few worthless bucks, pretty lame.

  • just got the october security update... but no android Q!

  • Could you please suggest an Android One device with the same price as A3 or cheaper.

  • People complain for everything. There is no better display for that price, nor an overall phone. The display can be further improved by going to developer settings and enabling some graphic options like the 4x option. Want to watch YouTube in higher quality? Install YouTube vanced and you can put even at 4k . It will get graphics much better. Anyone tell me a better 150$ phone

  • I am using mi A3 from past 1 month and i am not facing any issue the ph. Is good in this price range

  • In this cost please dont buy, better to buy Honor which is 2000 to 3000 less

  • When is the Android 10 update coming?

  • No nfc? :( useless..

  • Net speed of this mobile is very very poor. Waste of money. My opinion please don't waste your money.

  • Is this phone support USB OTG?

  • If they're for the same price than the A50, but isn't the A50 more expensive

  • Which better Samsung A50 or Xiaomi Mi A3?

  • Good battery life! Very good camera. Makes better photos then my Samsung Galaxy s10!!! Screen is not that bad like many people say... Greetings from Ukraine

  • The Xiaomi mi a3 is by far one of the best budget smart phone that has been release this year the 4030 battery its very good, in terms of performance its beats the a50.

  • Thanx bro last question......... Did you buy the official one or unofficial one? I mean you know there is a big question about the BTRC notice regarding the clone/theft/ or Unofficial phone(?) now a days..

  • A50s is better

  • Me too, I have the same problem. Somebody has pair galaxy watch successfully?

  • Funny thing... Now this phone on aliexpress is called Xiaomi Mi A3 Lite.. Ok, price is (now) about 140 euros for brand new device, but still, Xiaomi cheat us with name.. At least we know that Xiaomi Mi A3 Pro will be soon there.. Respect for those who brought this phone for more than 200 euros (or even 250$)..

  • Mi A3 or Mi 8 lite?

  • A50s

  • To Me Display of Mi A3 is good but not that good as FHD screen as well as higher PPI like A50. If you consider overall performance, battery life then go for MI A3 BUT if your main concern is display please do not go for it as you will not be satisfied. Before buying a mobile first check out your needs & then select the brand & model. I like small phone, good battery, call quality, loudness & overall performance so I went for Mi A3.

  • ok bro, I am also from Banglagesh. I love the mi A3 so far but I always ending being confused when it comes to the display aspect. Can you please tell me if the display of Mi A3 good or Bad? I know it is not the best but tell whether it is too bad or not?

  • I purchased official A50 from BD & after one week usage migrated to Xiaomi Mi A3. I used Samsung for last 7 years & finally found their quality is degraded. My colleague went 2 times to service center for call volume problem within one week of purchase A50. So Be careful to buy A50s/ A30s.

  • Xiaomi Mi A3 after 10 days later: > Battery Performance very good > Sound Loudness Good > Call Clarity & volume Good > OS is very Smooth for day to day professional use > Very good grip being 6.01" screen, rare now a days for small palm > Pictures quality shows great in laptop/ desktop > At night mode auto brightness doesn't change so rapidly as Samsung which is good for me but at day time it works smoothly > Only missing dedicated memory card slot & fast Charging Charger not available

  • Samsung A50S or MiA3?

  • Mi a3

  • settings- apps and notification - notification - blink light just turn on the toggle it will blink for app notifications. nice device for single hand usage, front cam is good but yes display is the thing where u will feel the difference u can try to ignore it but u can,t

  • Mi a3 is very better It's perfect phone just don't good for gaming

  • Why do mi a3 uses lower ppi display than mi A2 lite?

  • I have a connection problem with Xiaomi active noise cancelling headphones type c. When they are pluged in, music start and after a few seconds my phone doesnt recognise headphones and speaker is on. Do you know any solution for this problem ?

  • my led just work fine on all apps. except on missed calls.

  • Is there any problem with inscreen finger print sensor when you scan your thumb or finger to unlock your phone?

  • The 1080p display of the note 7 is better for general clarity and specially for reading small text and the phone is cheaper, if you have smaller hands probably the a3 will be more adequate for you.

  • Xiaomi mi a3 4/64 or Redmi note-7 4/64? (i don't play games)

  • Just instal light manager application ....

  • Good observation

  • There is proximity sensor near led notification light , check *#*#6484#*#* and test proximity. Pocket mode(prevent accidental touch) feature is missing in Mi a3. There are few bugs like led notification only works in charging and does not work for any app notification, fingerprint unlocks but with delay. Hope xiaomi fixes it in new update!!

  • Using this Mi A3 for a week, found that there is no proximity sensor given in the device which is very irritating while attending the call and holding in the ear. Xiaomi failed to add this feature.

  • How camera perform in this phone?

  • I have the MiA1 (2 years), MiA2 (1 year) and now the MiA3 (1 month). IMHO, i find the pro/cons of the MiA3 are as follows: Pro: >Smallest dimension of all 3. I like how easy it is to operate with one hand compared with the other 2 and able to fit into jacket/shirt pockets easily. >Best battery life of all 3. Lasted me 3 whole days on several occasions and easily a 2 whole day based on my usage. The other 2 lasted me 1 whole day and rarely 2 whole days. Cons: > finger print scanner is poor. It failed to recognise 90% of the time. I have tried resetting my fingerprint so many times, yet it fail to recognise 90% of the time. >Screen resolution: The only time the poor screen resolution is noticeable is when viewing low resolution photos. The pixels roughness are noticeable (especially the waves in the default beach scene used as wallpaper in AndroidOne). Viewing the same low resolution photos in the MiA1 or MiA2 didn't reveal those rough pixels as with MiA3. But the rough pixels is not apparent at all with better resolution photos or videos. The same lower resolution screen is also allowing a much better battery life.

  • And iphone 10 xr 720p for 700$ this is 250$

  • How's that bad? Its able to match the SD710 in performance because of the lower resolution.

  • Absolutely right and there is no way this phone can be considered and upgrade from Mi A2 and that is the worst part of all, android one fans expected an upgrade from last year and got a downgrade instead, it's pretty shameless from Xiaomi what they did, not only because of the bad display but for the bad performance it has been shown to have specially in gaming. At the very least they should have named it something else. For those saying the iPhone 11 is 720p you are wrong, it's 828p, besides that, apple customers are the most abused smartphone users of all, just you all read around, they aim to shamelessly keep taking money from their customers at every stage of "ownership", hopefully the android world will never see anything like that.

  • As it turns out, gaming on high settings is bad with this phone despite the poor 720p resolution:

  • no if you look for speed comparisons the MI A3 with SDM665 loads heavy apps faster than the Note 7 with SDM660. Could be because of Android One though

  • 720p screen in 2019 is totally unacceptable, even old phone like Samsung J7 Prime get 1080p super amoled, screen is the No.1 important criteria for phone as we interface with our phone thru the screen. If Xiaomi short change it customer, we have every rights to give them hell time, only that there will learned there lesson & give customer what there want.

  • mi A3 Lite

  • Efficiency SD665, performance SD660. But keep in mind all SD 660 phones are built on 1080p phones. In gaming, the mi a3 should handle the fluidity of graphics better since it has a lower resolution.

  • To your comment, the hybrid slot will take both a sim and sd with a little modification. Look on Youtube how to do it. I did it in one of my samsung phones. Just FYI. BTW to all the haters of 720, loook at apples screens that eveyone loves. Take all the goodies that this phone offers for a great price and you won't cry when it gets dropped of the pavment. Good luck to you.

  • Display is very bad. It is bad not because resolution, but because implementation. At the moment I have Samsung J5 2017 (720p Amoled, same PPI), and compared to it Mi A3 display looks very bad, almost unusable for text reading (PDF, WEB). Glad I checked it in person before placing order.

  • Y,?Display is nt gud,plz advice me

  • Yes but it is still noticeable and annoying. Compare with Mi A2 and you will see the difference.

  • I just got one for a friend and the screen is fine. I had to stop and remember about the 720p to then check it out. You can see it if you stop and look. Otherwise goes unnoticed. People making a big deal out of it, but is fine for the money. The other features make up for it. On the whole a good snappy phone.

  • Not very slow. Using it since 2 days. Display is really bad I must say

  • they make a perfect phone and mess up it's display... smh

  • I agree with your points but I've seen Mi A3 in a shop and it's screen quality is very bad.

  • Please which one is better for efficiency and performance sd660 or sd665?

  • For those saying SD660 is more powerful in terms of gaming, Yes it is very slightly better than the SD665 but what you guys are forgetting is that this phone has a smaller screen resolution and thus makes gaming on this phone more fluid. Battery consumption will also be better on this phone 11nm vs 14nm, not to mention less heating as well.

  • How much time it's battery backup still now? Is it heating when charging???

  • No, it's not just personal opinion. It's also backed up by the GSMArena Review. The review published by this website, where you are commenting. Beats your own personal opinion. Really not a clever comment..

  • As previously commented; great phone for the price. Not many are better equipped at this price point. Ridiculous to even consider it'll have wireless charging!! 🤣 No it doesn't. You're on GSMArena. The 1 place in the world you can definitely find out. Look at the specs! You only read the comments??

  • Sort yourself out and pony up for a more expensive phone. Many come setup exactly in this configuration. Stop whining and find another phone duh. What you're asking for is a bit rarer, so man up, andd accept it'll cost ya..

  • Only the high end are missing the headphone jack.

  • Snapdragon 660 has better GPU. If you're gamer go for Snapdragon 660.

  • Thanks for the 3.5 jack

  • LOL

  • They aren't. A good SD 660 phone like Nokia 7 Plus can play PUBG on HD with Player Shadow and Anti-aliasing enabled. SD 665 phones can't even pull 30 FPS on Balanced Graphics in TDM of PUBG. Forget about HD, Shadow and Anti-aliasing.

  • One thing that looks like speaker is a speaker and the second one is a microphone, as always

  • read the spec. It says that it only works one from the two speakers

  • it doesn't have stereo speakers.

  • one of the two grills is fake, A3 only has one loudspeaker

  • Do both of the speakers work on your phone guys? Only the right speaker work on mine and it hadn't had any fall or damage. It's brand new 🙄

  • I have yet to find a phone that didn't have reasonable enough call clarity. 720p and lags in games but hey call clarity is great, big plus!

  • My First Mobile was Nokia 3310 (2003) Then……….. Nokia 3100 (2004) Nokia 5420 (2008) ……………….. First Smart Phone was Sony XPERIA Ray (2012) Then… Samsung Core (2013) Samsung Core Prime (2014) Xiaimi Mi5 ( 2016) Samsung J7 Prime (2016) Samsung A5 2017 (2017) Samsung A50: 18-Sep-19 ……………………… Xiaomi Mi A3: 2-Oct-19 Out of my last three Samsung phones two was not better to me. There are many hypes in Market about Xiaomi but what I found is that “CALL CLARITY is SUPERB in XIAOMI Mi A3. No heating issues, smooth android one. Only great Lags to me a dedicated Memory card slot.

  • I suggest MI A3

  • if u want 1080p display (ips) go for mi a2. but if u want amoled go for mi a3. the deal breaker is.. mi a2 doesn't have 3.5mm jack and sd card slot. more details here:

  • And again unfortunately another phone with hybrid sim slot from xiaomi. what should i do if i want 2 sims and memory card at the same time ? Xiaomi doesn't consider all demands.

  • It's not. They are almost same

  • why gaming on 665 is lower as compare to 660 despite having more powerful gpu

  • No, this phone does not support any kind of wireless transfer.

  • Is Mi a3 wireless charging compatible?

  • I think I would not be that subjective and wouldn't be looking for a lot of specs for this price of a phone, for me this is the best phone on xiaomi's phone lists at its price and specs,. ♠

  • Just bought the Xiaomi Mi A3 and afete 3 days and several attempts and different ways i still can’t pair it Wish mu Smartwatch Galaxy active

  • Mi A3 or Mi A2? Reply please.

  • 185 bucks, should i go for it on christmas?

  • Wtf ??? I already use about 4 months ... And this phone are great in terms of performance, camera, display and also the battery usage . I am not the xioami fans .. but i accepted the low of the resolution screen.. but i think the price also not overpriced in terms of spec .. overall i think this phone just nice .. hang ? Probably you get the fake of xioami phone .. lol

  • Yes it's very slow and not accurate.....

  • Yes .... Finger print sensor is not that accurate and it's slow ... But since face I'd is there it can be compromised

  • Yes disappointed with a3...strted to hang early

  • is this phone fingerprint sensor slow?

  • This one or Redmi Note 7? Please help.

  • That's a very personal opinion of yours, it has a bad display and bad performance specially in gaming and the fingerprint reader, as for the size, that's really subjective, if you have low vision or big hands you will probably want something bigger no???

  • yes brother this phone support OTG

  • Xiaomi Mi A3 and other versions of it is a very recommendable phone that has all you will need. Security-wise it is very effective and you've the "Find my phone" just as an iPhone has. The came of 48mega pixels is sleek. The size of the phone and it's components are just superb. Xiaomi is a real good deal.

  • Please I just started using the mi a3 no preferred sim option for call and messages the phone chooses which is different from the "ask Everytime" on other devices

  • Can it OTG support

  • Get mi cc9 then, but 720p isn't that bad thing, iphone rocks it

  • Frame is made od polycarbonate (plastic) not alu

  • I have been using the phone for almost a month now, I am very satisfied, a full two day battery with a lot of usage. I have one question, which version of gcam is the best and most comprehensive Thanks

  • I was just going "wow it's the perfect phone" with its features and price and such then I saw that its screen is 720p.

  • Why did they have to put that resolution, it is making me ANGERY

  • Actually this is a very good phone for the price. The screen is not that bad. Camera is excellent. Build quality is great with the aluminium and glass. Other good things are the notification led, android one, onscreen fingerprint scanner and battery life. The size of the phone is not to big. For now i have no complaints. I can advise this phone to everyone who wants pure Android but dont want to spend a lot of money!

  • Even shorter, rhis phone is the best roght now, for the price, yes have HD plus resolution, but its a Wuper Amoled, and screen is not to big. But for starting price (250$?) Yes, there is a 10 better phones, even from Xiaomi, but now, under 150 euros.. Great phone, anyway better than Redmi 7 with similar price (in same donfig 4/64)..

  • Auto brigness sensors in Xiaomi phones are problem since forever, or maybe thats a MIUI thing, bit it's a same on phones with MIUI 7 and MIUI 10 (soon 11), i had like 5-6 Xiaomi phones and ALL of them had same issues with brightness, so, best solution is to turn off automatic..

  • I get very bad call quality. The earpiece, speaker and Bluetooth headphones are affected. I hope it gets fixed in an update... Otherwise I'm getting back to Mi A1.

  • Which one is better? Samsung Galaxy m30s or mi a3?

  • I have mi 9t and yes I can confirm how horrible the auto-brightness is on Xiaomi devices + sometimes it gets way too low in dark areas with no dc dimming feature yet (for mi 9t and mi a3). Proximity is also buggy cannot be predicted. Otherwise the device is fast, near perfect amoled screen colors, very good battery life and cellular reception, and pretty good Gcam camera results.

  • Can anyone else confirm these issues?

  • more than white

  • Please update the settings in this model. and Colour resolution is so dull please fix that problem

  • Bruh .. Its your headphone which is not compitable with a3 And upgrade can fix those issues 😑

  • I purchased a new phone it's ferpomas good .my phone not visible volte

  • In short this phone is worse because of 720x1560 resolution

  • this phone very small size camara also not good this not best to chose y9 is best

  • You cannot compare preium model with budget movil. In low light you see the diference, s6 its better. 48mpx is marketing, is not a good idea for night photos. Also if you use dour pixels to make ones. This system was also on Fuji Cameras lot of years ago.

  • mi a2 is better than mi a3 for me because i own a mi a2 unit and it's still amazing for me for camera department and gaming department until now but the real prob. is the battery is just 3000mah and no headphone.. but for me it's good overall better than mi a3.. and i think the mi a3 is just a outside good phone because it's glass and amoled display but 720 display and 200+ ppi? much better if you have mi a2 that 400+ ppi and 1080p display just good to have it.

  • Resolution is not important, PPI (pixels per inch) is what's important, around 400 PPI will give you decent screen clarity and you can get that from most of today's midrange phones. Substandard display, poor gaming performance, that is, even with android one which should help it to speed up things but it seems not the case, if this ran MIUI very likely would run much slower.

  • @Mamal: that means: screens with higher pixel count gives more detail (for which you'll have to pay more, and will drain your battery sooner). I am perfectly happy with this phone. I searched a long time for an affordable high quality device. Think I found it. @ Anonymous: that's a test result when gaming. which I don't do on a phone.

  • 720 will look a little "worse" with a lower quality but higher battery life as the device doesn't need to push as many pixels to the screen. Performance in and out of games could also be boosted. 1080 will look "better" and more crisp but battery life will be average.

  • Typically, an HD display has 720 pixels and FHD has 1080 pixels. FHD looks way crisper and nicer than HD. A lot factors affect display quality, though, and not simply higher resolutions. The difference is clearly seen when the two are compared side-by-side.

  • Definitely Mi A3 because am using for month and I felt that only this phone is fabulous in looking at well as handling . Battery life is best in this ranged phone. Last but not least glass and back, both side are tough and stylist

  • Which one is Better Mi A3 or Moto One Vision??? both have same software androidone?

  • Only half HD?WTF Xiaomi..

  • Everyone is so hyped about thus phone, but I got it for 3 weeks and I just hate it. Keep reading before you buy. Battery is amazing and screen is great, but this phone is so buggy that it makes go nuts. I'm not a gamer and performance never been an issue. However.. Fingerprint scanner is so damn poor, it gets right maybe 3/10 times, when it unlocks it turns the brightness to 80% even though the brightness is set to a lower level in the slider, uts a consistent and horrific issue. Major issue with sound contriol6, speaker and earpiece are fine, but the phone often mixes up between the speaker and earpiece whilst in a call or just watching a video. When you plug headphones you can't control the volume if you're in a call. Seldom when watching a video from an application or browser, the volume rocker doesn't changes the volume.

  • What is the difference betwen 720*1560 pexels and 1080*2340 pexels? explain to me clearly .

  • Absolutely false, here's the REAL PUBG performance on this phone: On high settings lagging and stuttering are present even with the low screen resolution.

  • Hey friend i am from Greece too , i got mi a3 about 1,5 month and it is a beast phone . Great battery , great display (you will not notice the 720p) , Great camera (i download GCam) If you like to upgrade your phone take it

  • It's smooth

  • If you wish I am ready to exchange my Mi A2 for your Pixel device. Penny wise, Pound foolish move.

  • Hold tight your current mobile now and go for a new one next year with Android 10.

  • Just hold tight your Mi A2 for one more year and go a new mobile next year.

  • I am using this last 15 days camera and battery satisfied display 1080p and amoled 720p almost same ntg any problem But one thing I am using night camera 12 mp & 48 mp 12 mp is suffering but 48 mp complete loose too much bad I think my j2 also far better camera at night

  • Hello, I'm from Greece. I have the Mi A2 and I'm thinking to buy the next Mi A3. I like generaly the Android One smartphones. I like also and the Motorola One Vision and I'm between theese two smartphones. So what would you recommend to me?

  • Qatar..

  • What is the differences if i bought a phone in india rather than my own country? Because it is more cheaper in India than here in The Philippines.

  • Good for your country. Some countries has only 1 variant and it is 6gb... Hope that they release other variant in some countries....

  • where is that?

  • does arcore work properly? I can't find any surface

  • $190 4 64 version in my country.

  • Hi everyone. Mi A3 or Mi A2? Please suggest. Performance is very important. And what about Mi A3 display? Is 720p display that bad?

  • I have been using the phone for 1 month now camera is quite good not explored everything but so far so good

  • Android one

  • Whats so special in this phone, even a low budget midranger realme 3 is better than this, this phone have no room in the market with the price they are offering, pathetic move.

  • I have a Pixel 2 XL and I came from the mi a2 lite, honestly thinking about switching back just for the battery and headphone jack.

  • I have a MI A1, this doesnt look like an upgrade, disappointed

  • Xiaomi launched A1 and A2 just for making its brand to the world, it's ultimate aim is selling phone with Xiaomi Rom. Therefore, A3 need not to be good.

  • There is similar phone from Xiaomi it's called Mi CC9 in China, and in global version it's Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite, but runs on MIUI. Like many said, that phone will be perfect for Mi A3, but thats is what it is :D

  • Xiaomi does not care to much for androidone phones, it never was, soon you relise that it's better. All better Xiaomi phones, even with cheaper price, than A series, have Xiaomi skin, and not, wanna be Pixel with Launcher3.. That kind of software only suits for HMD Global phones.. But i guess for 150 euros, this, Mi A3, brand new, even with 720p its ok, at least have good cameras, battery life, and its compact phone

  • Xiaomi got greedy and failed to deliver a true successor to the MI A2, actually the CC9 would be the real MI A3 if released with android one.

  • What if it has 1080p display and Qualcomm 675 or 712

  • Plus for camera, the camera 2api is already enabled so you can install gcam without unlocking the phone bootloader. Previously, i use mi a2 as my my daily driver. The truth is 720p AMOLED display in mi a3 looks much better than 1080p IPS display in mi a2. Overall really satisfied for what I paid for. Terbaik.

  • Its very good overall .. nice cameras ... Excellant battery .. beautiful Amoled panel .. just in games u can get high frame rate only in low graphic settings ... And if u like stock android Its the phone for you.

  • How's this performance and how's overall phone bcz i m interested in this phone and i am wanna buy.......... so kindly guide me.........

  • I compared the camera of this phone with the camera of Samsung s6 phone. I get the impression that the s6 has a slightly better camera ?! Am I right?

  • If you like a cheap pixelated 720p display and game lagging and stuttering phone, you don't need to pay $250 for that, $60 will get you there.

  • fingerprint is slow but not inconsistent in my case...yes, display is dim in bright sunlight outdoors...but I read somewhere that the phone display is capable of more than 500 nits but it is the software which is limiting the brightness. Brightness can be fixed by software updates in future.

  • Seen phone live, display looks normal. No pixel disaster happened.

  • It's a 150 euros now ;)

  • Yes, it is support EIS. The quality is good.

  • Does camera support EIS? or no image stabilisation?

  • Is anyone having this problem with there phone..the screen seems yellowish while looking straight forward however when i tilt it no matter the direction it looks fine the whites are white

  • no nfc, no buying

  • Thank you for the detailed feedback. Can anyone else confirm these issues?

  • Can play fortnite on this phone ?

  • they miss 1 function in this phone is NFC thats only reason i dont buy it

  • This device is a problematic one. Few major issues: 1) Fingerprint scanner - is extremely inconsistent, face unlock is preferred method for unlocking the device. 2) Brightness behavior (!) starting from the end - it's horrible!!! - If you use the fingerprint scanner, then, 8 out 10 times the phone will wake up at around 80% regardless to your brightness level on set on the slider, you then must correct it manually. - The Adaptive Brightness is extremely buggy, every minor light change will adjust the brightness level up/down, it's so sensitive that it makes you go crazy. 3) Sound hardware - There's a problem with the speaker and earpiece, the phone sometimes getting mixed up between the two, the only way to solve it is to restart the device. 4) Proximity sensor - whilst in a phone call, unless you perfectly cover up the sensor, the phone will lit up time and time again which causes unwanted screen touches with your face. Conclusion - Don't get it! It's not a Please to experience to say the least. Hopefully Android 10 update will solve it. Sep security update made no changes.

  • No

  • separate memory card slot required. 2 slots for sim and 1 slot for Memory card

  • Is there a double-tap-to wake up option??

  • I'm not here to keyboard warrior, don't get me wrong but I think this phone is not for gaming purposes. From what I can see on the advertisement that they are promoting is about their camera, Android One, and battery. I'm not trying to justify for Xiaomi but just as a user itself. I had reasons that I prefer this phone, I came from an iPhone SE : 1. I love Apple's ecosystem, hands down to them but 5GB iCloud storage? Google is giving me 15GB for a start and unlimited storage for photos. 2. Apple is getting ridiculously expensive and yes some may argue "Why not get the older iPhones?" Trust me, they are still expensive. Hence, this came out and it's under RM1k my country. And guess what, it will be as the same lifespan either I get an iPhone 8 or XR. 3 years down the road you're gonna change your battery first which costs you a lot here. 3. I'm a purist when it comes to OS because I don't use any of the bloatware that other phone offers. So why the Mi A3? Look, forget about the 720p display. For PC, it makes a differences and you can see it when you're gaming but for a phone? I can't really tell. It's really subjective when it comes to all these, some people like it some people may not. My review so far with this device has been really 'GREAT' as you mentioned because, you're getting a in-fingerprint scanner, a near flagship camera, and a pure google software which gives you update up to 3 years. For a daily driver if you're doing a lot of social media and photography I think this phone is a deal. If you're looking for a phone for gaming I'd say you look somewhere else. (I did use this for a little gaming due to draining the battery to 0 for the first charge, and I know the bad part) But don't worry, light gaming are still okay if you're not bothered by the little hiccups. Cheers!

  • Mi A3 or Honor 8X?

  • Mi A3

  • no use for super amoled on a 286pp1 device

  • Thanks for helpful insights.

  • AMOLED stands for “Active-Matrix Organic Light-Emitting Diode”. And Mi A3 has Super-AMOLED.

  • 720p is big let down for MiA3, When this phone launch few months ago, Fanboy insist that this is merely MiA3 lite & there would be a MiA3 pro, but many months after MiA3 launch there is zero news about Pro version, What we see is merely Mi9lite, clearly Xiaomi has sidelined Android One phone for MIUI phone, now i doubt would there even a MiA4 next year. i rather goes to Motorola & Nokia for Android One.

  • Thanks

  • Yes....and now almost every Android smartphone support this feature

  • Hi, does Mi A3 support dual app for FB & whatsapp? Could anyone please help me providing the information.

  • I only care about custom ROMs. And Xiaomi is the only OEM that makes it easy at such a cheap price. Buy Xiaomi for the hardware, not the software. If you are looking for latter, definitely look for another manufacturer. Cus MemeUI sucks. And their Android One phones are nerfed to promote the MemeUI ones.

  • So it's $250 and is lagging in heavy games on higher settings and has a pixelated display. You know that's the information the prospective buyer needs to know rather than some dishonest individual telling that is: "GREAT" It is not great and that's what you get for $250 and then if you want a phone for gaming on higher settings and/or you want a better display to read small text and properly look at pics you just have taken then you NEED to pay a little more, $50 more can afford you a better phone that you will not regret having purchased and be stuck with it for two years or so.

  • Love.. This futur... Under display fingerprint..220 uro.. From bangladesh......🇧🇩

  • What do you expect from a 250$ device? Snapdragon 800 series? LOL

  • A50 or A3 ???

  • xiaomi mi a3 phone is good.it's main camera is good.it's sensors are also good. it's os and internal memory is very well.

  • Yeah sure: At high settings problems start like in the second half of the video.

  • which phone should i chose between MI A3 64+4 and Galaxy A30 64+4?

  • Take a lot of care on what you read on here, there is an army of heavily biased / dishonest people probably Xiaomi paid some of them all out promoting this item. You are way better off reading more reviews and visiting a shop to look at the phone and look at the other phones within your budget.

  • Great

  • What will happen ?

  • Try playing pea 19

  • Here: And the display is only 720p.

  • I also want to know how it runs pubg

  • How was the gaming performance of mi a3?

  • Which phone is better, mi a3 or mi a2, in camera performance?

  • I am using it from past 1 week no issues at all great phone with perfect dimensions only downside is it's not full hd but if it doesn't matters you then go for it

  • Ive been using this phone for two weeks and its really good what I loved the perfomance is top notch with sp 665 and clean android one its smooth I mean its the smoothest devixe Ive ever used cause this is first clean android Ive used ever gaming : is really good better than 660 devices cause of better gpu this chepist has I play asphalt 8 and pes 2019 and fifa mobile with highest setting its good but fornite doesn"t support it strangly !! battary : is great thanks to gpu and 720 + display camera is good and note 48 megapixel photos should be activated first alsp the real quality will be visible in laptop the bad thing is only pixels are visible when you really focus on them they could have put a fhd but I think they prefered the perfomance and with an amoled display its not that bad

  • this phon was conected to smart TV R not

  • Great phone

  • Go and buy an iPhone x..that's good when compared to mi a3

  • I don't know what you call "authentic" about it, so, this phone is so great because it runs android one?? He goes to compare this with a pixel phone BUT then accepts the wide angle pics look blurry LOL. He likes the size?? LOL. So you say the review on here is not authentic?? Many others?? All fakes?? LOL. All I see is CHEAP people trying to talk themselves HARD into believing this phone is something special in any way. Fact is that not even with the substandard cheap pixelated 720p display this thing will show good performance in gaming. The rest is midrange phone standard specs, nothing to see here.

  • A display need not be the best just because it is AMOLED. In the same way all IPS displays are not inferior. There are good IPS displays which are superior to the best AMOLEDs in the market. In short there are good and bad AMOLEDs and IPS LEDs. We have to wait to see the quality of display used in Nokia 7.2.

  • Oh and the battery is smaller in 7.2 (3500mAh vs 4030mAh).

  • It's a bigger phone, camera is not that good at all, plastick back, older processor (14nm), better resolution, but its bigger screen and its IPS, not Super Amoled.. also price for all that is about 100 euros more.. It is not better at all, just costs more money, without reason, this is not Nokia anymore it's a HMD Global Oy.

  • Not say enough good. Camera is ok. Gaming is not optimize Charge back up ok. Fingerprint slightly slow.

  • Nokia 7.2 with Zeiss lenses and PureDisplay HDR10 is better than this crap

  • In pictures, yes i know, but i wanna to order Mi A3 (in one of those two colors), but in my area i can't find Mi A3 just to see what looks like in real, back side with gradient. I like looks of alu frame, in white version, also clean white (modern today) back with gradient, but not just blue looks (at least in videos and pictures) also cool, so yeah.. Close call :D

  • Unbox therapy did an authentic review on the A3. Look it up on YouTube. I plan to get one of this too.

  • If you need a correct answer, then probably I have to ask your budget. For the asking price, Mi A3 is good. But the fact is that it's display is not good though its camera is really good. You have to transfer the pictures taken by it to a computer to understand its camera capability. For me display is more important to a mobile than anything else. If you need a demo then go to Xiaomi's home store nearby your location and find the answers yourself. If you can increase your budget there are plenty of options. But again a question arises as to whether you are after Android One. If you are after Android One then wait and go for Nokia 7.2 if that matches your budget.

  • Both are awesome (In Pictures) But i do not know if it is awesome too if you have it

  • Is anyone here have used Mi A3? Because i am planning to buy it. However, I am having second thoughts of buying it because of the reviews of gsmarea and also other youtuber's...

  • Am using the phone and everything is good about dat especially the camera is the best I've used

  • Are you from GSMarena? Your comment implies that you are a hardcore professional though a professional will not comment the way you do which implies that you are not from GSMarena. A professional comment to revert back to your comment is the fact that this is not your website. If you wish you may indulge yourself hear with others. Or you may simply ignore this website and mind your own business. Don't take GSMarena into your hands. There are plenty of professionals to look after that.

  • Whats the best color in real, more than white (white), or not just blue (blue)?

  • We would really appreciate people with user experience to comment and not people with out user experience

  • ppi low

  • but s amoled is better then ips display

  • Really...???

  • Agreed

  • Worst smart phone in present days. No editing options, resolution very poor, Display also not good . Not worthful for money

  • I love everything about the phone the camera is even better than A70 games runs smoothly display in very ok in own review battery life is so good wat more can I ask for ?

  • Mi A3 . a little bit best proccesor and triple camera, finger sensor in screen

  • can anyone tell me which one is better Mi A3 or Redmi Note 7 ???

  • Camera is good in Mi A3 but the display is Bad (Really BAD). Xiaomi has purposely done this to Mi A3 as they very well know that Mi A3 would cannibalize the sales of their other variants if they had launched it with a full HD active matrix display. The real problem with the present display is that it is a passive matrix display not because it is not a FHD display.

  • “Real photographers” don’t use phones to

  • You shouldn't be asking this question if you are a real photographer who knows photo editing as well.

  • You are not IT person so difficulty for u

  • The screen is no good, upload the pic to a PC or something and edit from there.

  • Nope I beg to disagree the images may have that some noise but it's better compared to it's other rivals.., at worst Iphone's Night mode is worst :(

  • Low light photo not good, don't buy this

  • does this phone have full screen gesture

  • Good

  • Can anyone tell me this screen resolution is good enough for photography and photo editong?!

  • A50 has a lot of quality complaints. You can find them if you read few pages of user opinion on Gsmarena. But it's way better for gaming (PUBG on HDR with stable 40+ FPS). A50 also has serious camera problems and lacks 4K video recording. It has been out for 6+ months but Samsung has shown no interest in fixing any of its problems. Mi A3 is mostly better. In comparison, it has good selfie camera, OS, battery and quality. Main camera is also better, but it's still not as good as it should be - especially in low light. It lacks FHD, NFC and ANT+, if you've any use for those. See camera comparison by Gsmarena:

  • You should definitely go with galaxy a50 in india its at 19k and mi a3 at 13k. I have both phone a50 is for better . You can feel better sAmoled display on a50 . Better camera also.

  • the phone is solid(after a week of use). going from a Samsung a5 2017,only thing i miss is the always on display. not a gamer therefore the low screen resolution doesn't bother me and honestly it is not that noticeable. with the given hardware and software(android one) this is a absolute steal. then again don't bother about the features it lacks(no NFC, low res screen).and stop comparing this with high end phones with 4x times the price range. and something no one seems to talk about is it's one hand friendly usability(6.0''). the list of pros are too damn high in this phone. you will not regret the purchase.

  • Both are great. I will go for a3, 2 years updates,32 mp selfie camera, lower resolution for better chipset experience.

  • At least put correct name. Great smartphone.

  • Hello , Which is better Mi A3 or Samsung A50 ? Note , both mobiles are same price here in Egypt .

  • Bro colours are the same which is 16M colour each pixel still contain 16M colour but there are less pixels

  • its colour.. lol

  • Mi A3 has P2i protection

  • Try the Mi Remote from the play store. Works on my P30 pro and Mi 9

  • I would love to buy this phone it looks really cool but my only concern is I have mint mobile/ T Mobile so I was wondering if this phone works with T-Mobile 4g

  • Mi A3 is better because Mi A3 is now compact sized 6.08 inch hd+ 19.5:9 48mp triple camera and night mode 4030mah battery 2 years of OS quick charge 3 support usb c 11nm processor and in display fingerprint

  • Because of Marketing strategy

  • Worst phone MI Redmi A3, Editing contact name is also very difficult.

  • Have mi a3 hdmi support (usb-c - hdmi)? ( thanks ... I am looking for amoled/ hdmi ( if possible with android one) support mobile phone some tips for me? thanks

  • My name is Kunal and I am considering this device as secondary one for myself. It will be use to 1. To play some games like PUBG (high or medium settings), Real Racing 3 and Need For Speed: No Limit. So, how is the performance of these games on the device? 2. To watch UDemy tutorials on the move at 720p or 360p. Can I play them at 1080p on this device? 3. What about watching HD series from Amazon Prime and Netflix on this device? I hope some real genuine Mi A3 user will answer my questions. Thanks in advance.

  • Is the phone too narrow, and which one would u rather have between mi a3 and normal note 8

  • Notice the prices bro you're comparing a70 price to mi a3

  • I got this phone for almost a week now and honestly I really love it... Though on the spec sheet the resolution is low but on real life usage it not even noticeable at least for me.. I don't go about checking my screen with a magnifying glass.. Hehe.. But one genuine issue is with the brightness of the screen.. It seems a bit low.. Auto brightness setting is horrendous and I mostly keep it turned off.. The screen is barely visible in harsh sunlight even in full brightness.. Otherwise it's absolutely fine.. For a budget phone it's a bang for the buck..

  • Bro what about sun light visibility..... is it good in bright sunlight

  • Mi A2 is and will be my last Xiaomi phone. The Mi A3 is a terrible upgrade. I wanted a better chipset (which the SD665 isn't), 6GB of RAM and a bigger Full HD screen. Samsung A70 ticks all the boxes. Xiaomi shot themselves in the foot with this upgrade.

  • Yes I have issue with wifi , WiFi is gones of automatically why please solve this problem

  • Any issues in the wifi connectivity?

  • What phones would you hold out for?

  • Sure, I will. Thank you so much Sir!!!

  • Yes in 720p LOL. Better phones incoming for the right price people, be smart and hold a bit..

  • I was so curious when mi A3 was launched, even i was about to but that... But i was so disappointed when i see it in showroom... Phone is awesome, good spec, compact, pure android... But wat ppl use often, it was the screen which we see most of the time while using it... I saw some opinions that screen is not a deal-breaker... But it is... According to me the screen quantity is so poor... As my primary mobile was broken i was using redmi 2 for 3 months... What i say is redmi 2 screen is better than mi 3...

  • Does it play 4k movies ?

  • Then you are looking for Mi 9SE for that size. You will love its size for sure.

  • Please make an s10e or iphone X/XS (and even Pixel 3) sized Mi A3 lite. Android one or not: just make that size.

  • screen is absolutely gorgeous, i have purchased the same a week ago.

  • Absolutely fine.

  • Should I buy it in More than White?

  • Download the Mi Remote app on PlayStore. Yeah not sure why it was not included, saw some reviews on YouTube mentioned about this too.

  • Hello GSMArena please update the specs because Mi A3 is this just Amoled display not Super Amoled, and add 720@240fps.

  • It's great! Amoled screen make it even better. I'm using this phone, 3 weeks already now. And I'm like you, not a gamer, using this phone for browsing, camera, social media, etc. Even reading ebook for me is good. Personally, I think it is all depends on our own preferences and how satisfy or sufficient enough the display to us. My advise, go to nearest Mi Store and try it yourself first.

  • Hd screen for 4k video&watch #how_funny!!!

  • Its not that bad,my friend bought one and used it for a little while ,the display was really good ,i couldnt tell it was a 720 p display

  • Hello Community, is the 720p display good? Not in terms of resolution but in colour, and overall look. I am not a gamer and just a day to day user. Thank you for the reply

  • What's the display quality outdoors? I heard it looks like a mirror under shiny days.?? Please share experience.

  • i have these phone and it is a beast !!! The camera is perfect with gcam and with stock camera app ! Battery is perfect . The combination of low resolution screen + 4030mAh +665 CPU which is power efficient i can hold my device for 1,5 day+ . I am playing only Brawl Stars and i didnt have any problem with frames or heats or everything else . It is a must buy phone

  • i didn't see IR Blaster App on my Mi A3 model, but in specification they said that is comes with IR, is there any official app is made for it or not?? also want to know that is has screen recording function, QR Scan function??

  • What is the Sar rate?

  • He probably just bought the phone and received previous month updates and thinks it's something new hahah

  • What update?

  • No I haven't faced any of these issues. Battery performance is great, it lasts me one day and a half on a single charge. I didn't experience a heating issue either while charging or using the phone.

  • No you don't have to root it. Just download gcam apk and install. You can follow this link for more information

  • Already went to the store. Welp I'm satisfied with the appearance and performance though. Will buy it nexth month~^_^~

  • I know about the resolution specs being low, but still it is an amoled display, for me i would prefer the lower resolution with amoled on it rather than 1080p with ips lcd. Maybe it's because of my personal preference of amoled is being much into my liking than lcd heh ~^-^~. Anyway thanks for the reply though never thought someone would reply my pure opinion weh. Much appreciate monsieur/madame~ PS: oh also due to Mi A3 is android one, highly likely i can use gcam mod which enhance the camera processing images, for better lighting etc. Is like being the "budget" google pixel phone camera. For reference search it on youtube for picture comparison between gcam and the stock app.

  • I confirm. The screen is not a dealbreaker. It's more than good enough for my opinion. It's a smart balance: less resolution (in specifications because in daily use you will not have problem) for more battery. I have the phone in my hands for a week and I'm not a Xiaomi fanboy. That's why I preferred to buy an Android one phone instead of a Xiaomi's Miui phone.

  • screen will not bother you but processor will if you play high end games a lot but for normal users it is a good option 665 is capable for daily tasks

  • I don't think so. I don't like the display and camera of redmi note 7 honestly this one got better

  • Received a new update today.

  • So, does this phone have metal frame (aluminum), or just plastic with chrome finish?

  • Did you face heating or battery issue

  • I had the same concerns as you. But i was surprised as the 720 screen is not that big deal as everyone is making. In day-to-day usage, you will not even notice that it not a FHD screen.

  • Thanks for the answer. So, is the phone API2 ready for gcam installation or do we need to root it?

  • I have also been using Honor 8 device since 2016, and I got the Mi A3 few weeks ago. Snapdragon 665 is working very well and smooth with android one. I haven't experienced any lag so far. As for the resolution, personally I don't have an issue, but I suggest you take a look yourself at the store before making a decision.

  • Yes it has only received a security update for August. They didn't fix the camera shutter lag yet. The only solution now is to install gcam, which solves this problem and produces better photos.

  • Has this phone received any updates since its release? I've read somewhere that its camera shutter is slow, i.e. that it takes a full second to take a photo. Hoping for a fix.

  • Im using Honor 5C since 2016 now I want to upgrade with mi A3 for the stock android interface. Will 720p resolution & Snapdragon 665 bother me??

  • Doctors says 300 ppi is enough for human eye and above 300 is wastage. One can also read blogs. So I think 720 isn't a big issue. Yes screen quality may matter if someone doesn't like the display.

  • When you open recent apps, keep scrolling left until you see the "clear all" option.

  • Does this device support DC Dimming

  • How to "close all" recent apps. On YouTube I observed that recent apps to be closed one by one.???.

  • Yes but rarely.... Mostly while reading small text

  • No.. Skip this. If u want it for gaming

  • Ok well, I would just advise you to go to a store and take a look at the phone, as said the screen delivers a combo of over saturated colors and very low resolution, actually your old samsung phone will deliver much higher PPI than this. If ater playing with it you still like it then it's ok to buy. I would very much recommend you the much better redmi note 7 pro, price is almost the same and camera won't disappoint (48mp as well), it's faster and the display is more detailed with more natural colors. I mean just take a look at it if you can.

  • I WILL BUY Xiaomi Mi A3 next month (because is within my budget though), upgrading from my old phone, the Samsung Galaxy A3 2016 (still an excellent phone for me though haha, i will miss her sob sob). Despite being said that the Mi A3 is such a deal breaker or "don't buy this" stuff from youtube and other reviews of social media/threads or on gsmarena itself, I find it is going to be a huge improvement from my old phone, like 300% increase in performance. I WILL BUY IT no matter the bad review about it, because of the SAMOLED display, I WILL BUY, and because of the camera is somewhat excellent and almost similar to the good old Samsung Galaxy S8+ quality, I WILL BUY it. That's my honest and good opinion about Xiaomi Mi A3. Thanks for reading my opinion though, I'll appreciate it. PS: I am 20 year old guy and kinda outdated about phone techs today, so please don't get mad or rant about my holy opinion, please be nice heh. ^-^

  • Redmi Note 7 is better than this one.......

  • Finally got to see and try the phone in person. Even without a side-by-side comparison, the 720p screen is very evident. With a side-by-side comparison, it was just terrible. I have a Galaxy S8 (running at 720p) and a Redmi Note 5AI. The screen was pale and pixelated, brightness was also too low. My Note 5 takes photos faster than the A3 as well. Such a wasted opportunity since an A3 Pro doesn't seem likely. Might as well go for the Note 8 or Note 8 Pro.

  • How to open call recording in MI A3 mobile

  • Yes display resolution is basic and you can feel it. Fingerprint is too slow Rest all are good

  • Yes indeed. Lower resolution = less gpu usage giving more performance on games. Just like apple.

  • Actually a low res display can make games faster for a given processor, you can play just fine with this phone IF you don't mind the stuff being displayed looking ugly, like in an old phone or a bottom of the barrel entry level phone. Even the redmi 7a will have better PPI than this. 720p is mostly found today in bottom of the barrel entry level phones like the Redmi 7a and even that one will have better PPI than this phone due to smaller size. BUT if companies see a way to sell you 720p on midrange phones again they certainly WILL, samsung just downgraded the A30 display to 720p in the new S variant which proves companies are ready to jump back into the 720p bandwagon if comsumers let them.

  • The only issue I found in this phone is that it's contacts can't be merged so u willl see same number multiple times with. Irritating

  • I want to buy this phone and i like playin games like pes 2019 please any can help advice if the low resolution will affect the display performance thank

  • just curious people are saying frame is plastic but here it is mentioned frame is aluminium

  • How I set dual ringtone to this A3

  • the frame is not aluminum, its plastika

  • Just got this phone. Opinions: Pros : -Androidone program, not the smoothest, but definitely the cleanest. no stupid ads, no bloatware (only mi related software is mi community which you can uninstall) -Light and small at 6.01 inches and 170ish grams, compared to redmi note 7 (Very small difference, but still noticeable since I've been using RN7 for quite a while) -Nice colour (small issue) -Triple camera setup -AMOLED feels nice compared to conventional IPS LCD Cons : -Yes, display is 720p, and honestly, it really isnt very nice. and like one of the users here mentioned, AMOLED 720p looks more noticeable in terms of low quality than IPS LCD 720p due to the fact that because AMOLED shines so much more, not only it brings out the nice details, it also brings out the bad details. (sometimes cant even tell that its 720p on LCDs, but one look at this and you can tell that the display really took a hit) -Still new, so not much cases (still waiting for spigen ;_;) -Slow in-display fingerprint (like, really. its within a second, but possibly about 0.5, and its a hit and miss) -SD665 is still a new chipset, so some games dont have high graphic support for this (give me my HFR Mode for MLBB pl0x) -Performance is same with RN7 (not much difference) Overall I can only recommend this phone if you look at software above everything else. In terms of display, you should be able to get used to it as time goes by.

  • Is 128gb 6gb ram only available in India and not in UAE or any other countries? Please reply

  • Why is ppi so low below 300

  • Gsmarena review noticed pixelization due to hd+ and pentile amoled setup. Have you seen or noticed it?

  • how's the signal speed or the data speed on this phone? does it have a better signal reception?

  • does it have a same camera with the MI CC9?

  • You sound like Xiaomi's payroll, the pentile AMOLED screen has an effective resolution lower than 720p, seen this screen myself and it looks coarse, specially text, even the review on here point's out the same as well as others around the internet. People: know that this phone is good in general but the screen is subpar don't let these dishonest people fool you, go to a store and see for yourself, don't take their word for it, very soon as prices come down, you can get a properly made phone like the CC9 for similar price. What's the point on spending two years looking at a rubbish display to save a few bucks.

  • Nice same with Huawei p30 lite

  • The camera is amazingly good and I compared my mi a3 camera with my dad's OnePlus 6 and the result was shocking!!!the mi a3 camera is very good in daylight and i even installed the Gcam which is a world of wonders to me and lastly people kept saying the screen is shit but I can tell you right now that the AMOLED screen is very good despite being a HD+ but if someone who doesn't know the spec of this phone....they will say it is FHD for real I'm not joking buy it

  • i use this mobile as iron box, thats all... worthless

  • I want to buy this phone for only design and camera. How is the camera performance of this phone?? Anybody help me please

  • Is MI A3 good for gaming, specially for MCOC - Marvels Contest of Champions

  • LTE dude, that's all.

  • So you say FHD, 2K displays exist because companies don't have anything better to do, since no one really notice the difference at any "normal" viewing distance...LOL, don't know who will be naive or dumb enough to believe you.

  • is it supports 5g & LTE

  • How can i see the details of the ram, please help,

  • I do believe optical fingerprint sensors continue to work if the screen is scratched or smashed and it's ultrasonic ones that do not work on scratched phones.

  • I said "normal" distance...if you put your eyes very close you will see pixels but no one will do so in daily use ! Will you?

  • Samsung Axx series are a huge mistake a3 has better camera instead and superb build quality! ....i don't think anyone will put his nose on display to see the pixels the display resolution is not a big deal....have you looked at the display yourself? ...I have!

  • So you have to look at the phone from a distance to pretend you don't see the pixels... oh no. Samsung just learned that trick fast and downgraded the Full HD A30 to 720p in the A30s instead of picking a slightly better processor. If you eat it they will gladly serve it to you.....yes they gladly will.

  • I beg to differ Samsung in house exynos chipset can never be compared with snapdragon soc . u will feel the difference in n/w quality, download speed etc No offence though

  • the screen is not that bad since you keep the normal distance....believe me...colors are a lot better than lcds ....go check the display yourself ....the battery is very good also the camera...and the build quality is great too!

  • No

  • Nope. I have checked it. Is not available also here just like stock android.

  • Head sar 0.527w/kg Body sar 0.722w/kg

  • No NFC in Indian/ global edition.

  • Of course go with A3 as per phone and battery performance is concerned. However, if you want full hd plus resolution go with a2.

  • Today I got the phone in my hand in India. Nice for one handed use due to it's form factor. Easily gripable. Solid body with front and back glass protection including camera. Display quality more than avarage. Battery life superb. Takes almost 1hr from 42 percent to 💯 percent using 18w fast charger. No heating issue till now. In call sound quality is awesome. Jio video calling is possible using dialer. I am not satisfied with the above average camera. But definitely going to replace it with Samsung A30.

  • Mi A3 can play pubg in hd graphics high framerate while realme 5 doesn't

  • 720 p display. !! Xiaomi Android One had been excellent phones in the past . But this time ...🤛 Though it is Un fair and illogical to compare it with iPhone X ....yet for the comparison of Mi A3 display quality , one is forced to quote the pixel density of Display . Whereas iPhone X has 1125 x 2436 pixels, at 19.5:9 ratio 5.8" screen Mi A3 Display has 720 x 1560 pixels, at19.5:9 ratio 6.01" . A little increase in price for 1080 p display would not have mattered much ..but 720 p crashes the enthusiasm..

  • Xiaomi is not cheap now. For me A series from Samsung is best value for money. I will be happy to see more Oppo and Vivo phones here in Europe. Very hard to find.

  • I play pubg on the mi a3 everyday. It runs absolutely fine.

  • Mi A1, Mi A2, Mi A2 Lite or Mi A3?

  • Does it has NFC?

  • 720p is low but question is better for pubg graphics frame rates or not? It good for pubg or not?

  • What about SAR value of this phone.

  • nope,it's a hybrid slot

  • Unfortunately it's only 720p for Youtube

  • Unfortunately it's only 720p

  • I switched to Mi A3 from Mi A1, and after few days i have some insight. First the display isn't as big of an issue. Yes you could see the pixelisation in text, but for games and videos this isn't noticeable, plus i learned to distance myself further from the phone so i don't see it. The 4G LTE speeds are astounding, 100-120 Mbps downlink, a lot faster than before and as fast as my home internet. But the Wi-Fi speeds are not so great. I think the Wi-Fi got a little downgrade. On A1 i got around 90 Mbps download but on A3 it's only 60 Mbps even as i forced wide band (80Mhz) and Wi-Fi ac. Cameras are big step up, as big that i consider leaving my DSLR more often. Battery is great, and because i am heavy user it lasts me a whole day. Quickcharge 3 finally allow keeping the charge between 20-80% and doing something that i would not consider before: charging before work. The sheer size of the phone is more comfortable than A1 and finally allowing one handed operation. On last word i have a minor issue with Youtube auto rotation but i would put that on Google

  • It's having inbuilt call recorder facility?

  • Stop posting wrong information. Mi A3 supports Widevine L1

  • The minimum brightness is ok, although I needed to enable Night Light mode in settings, which further dims the screen and filters blue light. It is low enough for reading in darkness. Even next to my partner. You need to lower it yourself though, as by default it lowers only to ~20% brightness, so I need to do it manually.

  • I am happy with the screen and don't notice any pixelation. I could sometimes see it when I just got the phone with some fonts when viewed up close. But soon got used to it without any problems. And I had a 1024p phone before. 720p screen also uses less power and the phone has a 4000mAh battery. This in combination allows for 2 days per charge. The phone is well built and the clean OS is so great. Cons are - the fingerprint scanner sometimes takes longer to work. And I hate the stock Android do not disturb mode. When it's on, there is no sound in headphones :) Btw, don't keep any phone wired over night or when it fully charged. This killed my last phone battery. I will keep this in between 40-80% charge.

  • Unfortunately there is no NFC

  • One of the worst thing if you break mi a3 phones screen you will lose fingerprint scanner as well that would be biggest nightmare That's why I will never buy this phone ever and yes also scanner will be more prone to scratches and may loose efficiency.

  • no

  • No it is uncomfortable, even at zero brightness. I suggest you toggle on Night Light from quick settings, which makes the screen much easier to look at in the dark.

  • It's support 1080p videos on YouTube

  • Yes

  • It's a L3 certified not L1 so it's not support amazon prime, netflix , etc hd content quality is not true compared to L1 certified model.

  • Superb mobile xiaomi mi a3

  • yes but upto 720p as it is hd+ not fhd+ so no 1080p

  • How is minimum brightness. Is it comfortable to read for long hours in d complete darkness.

  • does it has dedicated SD slot

  • Yes it supports HD video streaming on netflix

  • Does it support HD/FHD video streaming on Netflix and Prime Video?

  • Anytime 9t is 10x better. There is nothing good about mi a3 other that it has stock os. Mi a3 has low ppi, weak hardware. they kept ppi low so that it would not affect sale of note 7 and upcoming note 8. If u prefer miui and u can compromise on stock os and can afford Mi9t then go 4 9t

  • (0.301 W/kg) One of the safest phone of this year.

  • Why companies ignoring to post the SAR value of their phones? What's the SAR value of MI A3

  • width 71mm: "narrow".

  • Its pixel per inch so it is same for big as well as small screen

  • Hopefully Xiaomi start putting triple slot in Mi A's and "Redmi Note" phs soon!

  • Well, in my opinion Xiaomi just dont like to promote A series, Full HD LCD panel would have made this phone a Bangggg!!! , No point in having 5-6 cameras when the output clarity in mobile display is screwed....vivo Z1 pro and samsung m series & A series is still a worthy competitors than Xiaomi A3.

  • Finally, someone who's not a specsheet snob.

  • Why is the 6gb version only in India?

  • It's because they are using in-display fingerprint scanner, which apparently can't be used with ips lcd. As for using a low resolution display, I think because they wanted to cut cost.

  • I will pass on this phone.. better luck next time MI A series .. anything less than 324 ppi is not acceptable for me..

  • Ok, can someone explain me, why the hell they put 720p display? Battery is enough huge to deliver decent battery life even on fhd+ resolution. If the reason is price, imo ips lcd fhd+ will ne better than 720p oled. Can't understand, really...

  • I have got this phone last week, and I am really satisfied with it. I have read a lot of reviews about it before buying, and there was a lot of criticism regarding the display. So I went to the mi store and tested it myself. Yes you can easily notice the lower resolution if you put it next to a FHD screen. However, the colors are very punchy and nice, and you can only see the tiny pixels if you put it too close to your face. I also didn't have any trouble reading text, and it wasn't blurry as some reviews claimed. I highly recommend that you test it yourself before making a decision. The performance is really good and snappy with android one, and so is the battery life. I am able to get one day and a half on a single charge. I usually do a lot of texting, phone calls and some social media browsing throughout the day. However, I am a light user, and I don't play games. So battery life highly depends on personal usage. The in-display fingerprint scanner is good, and it works most of the time. You will need some practice to learn where to put your finger/thumb exactly (finger print icon turned off), and for how long to unlock. Also I noticed that if you press the power button first and then put your thumb/finger, it will unlock faster. It is not the fastest compared to other in-display fingerprints, but at this price point it is great. I am still experimenting with the cameras, but overall photos are very nice. This is my first triple camera setup, so I am having a lot of fun with the wide angel camera and the depth sensor. I am still learning about the 48MP camera, and the other modes of photography on this phone. The front camera is good as well, and it also has that depth feature. However, when I take a photo, the shutter takes like a second. I found that very slow. I hope that this could be fixed in a software update. The build quality is super good, but it is a little bit heavy. It is also much thicker than its predecessor Mi A2. It has an led light on the top left corner, but it only works when charging. I thought it would also function as a notification led, bummer. The speakers are mono, but they are very loud and clear. All three colors are beautiful. Personally I went for the white variant, because it comes with a different color silver sides. It's a new phone, so finding a tempered glass screen protector is difficult at the moment, unless you order one online. If you can't order online, use Huawei P30 screen protector temporarily, which is almost identical. Again, if you are considering this phone, go to the store and take a look. The display is not as bad as it reads on the spec sheet, but a lot of consumers might not like it.

  • Its not the phone, problem is SD card, just change in setings to save photos to phone and not to card, had same issue with note 7

  • Can i record screen when i am playing game 1080p (FULL HD) in this phone that have 720p screen resolution????

  • I used mi a1 and mi a2, but I bought a mi 9 SE for myself before the mi a3 was even announced. I bought recently a mi a3 for my husband and it arrived last night and honestly we couldn't tell the difference in the display at a glance. sure, it is different, but you have to get really close to the screen to notice and that's not how one uses a phone anyway. The phone is snappy and the display is punchy, haven't had time to test the camera or battery yet.

  • This phone's specs is better than the realme 5 but not the pro version. check it yourself. the only deal breaker is the price

  • Should I go with A3 or 9 SE? What's better in terms of cameras, battery life and more user friendly?

  • This phone now faces premature death due to launch of Realme 5. RIP MI A3 :(

  • I bought Mi A3 after twice went to the store and have a try on it. Been considering between this and Mi 9T, but lack of memory slot, IR blaster and the price difference made me choose the A3. Battery is superb, camera is great and the performance is good. I personally think that the screen is not bad. Sure it is noticeably difference compared to the FHD screen but it is sharp enough for reading, browsing, videos, gaming, etc. Agree with GSMArena that you should go the store and try it yourself. The only complaint from me is that the camera took a while to snap a photo, like around 1 sec after press. Hopefully it is only a software issue.

  • Hell no man. You cant compare it like that. 6 inch HD+ is about 280 ppi while 6.5 inch FHD+ is about 400 ppi. The higher the ppi, the sharper the image quality.

  • ive use mi a3,redmi note 7 n k20...mi a3 screen display are not dat bad..selfie camera superb...k20 cmera are good too but for me..perfomance not dat good sd730 crap...i recomend u to use redmi note 7...best perfomnce n quite good camera espcialy after u install gcam..for ur information ive use k20 twice,mi a3 twice n redmi note 7 4times

  • Its good because screen is only 6.0". 720p at 6.0" screen is like 1080p at 6.5" or bigger screen. You will see difference if you use microscope but if you use eyes only you cannot tell.

  • 720p itself saves battery life. Amoled Display saves battery life than IPS LCD. This is a power saver feature. 720p at 6.0" screen is equal to 1080p at 6.5" screen. They made the screen smaller to make 1080p experience on Mi A3.

  • This display is only about Snapdragon 215

  • I got this phone today, and to be honest the display was a bit irritating at start, but now I got used to it and it is still totally worth it for that price.

  • My four months wait for a New Xiaomi Android One phone to replace my Mi A1, has ended with a decision to not to go for a 720p display. No body gives a damn to, whether it is Amoled or LCD . Seems Xiaomi is intentionally giving space to other brands/manufacturers

  • 720 ???

  • Are you OK with the screen resolution? How about when reading text, is it good enough? I looked at it in the store and display resolution didn't seem as bad as some people say it is.

  • Could i ask you how your experience with the lower resolution screen has been?

  • Yes, it is more than worth. I had mi A1, and get my Mi A3 last week. Battery is better, camera is better, the size of the telephone ir more comfortable thant A1. I recommend it. :)

  • when can i buy it from Egyot ?

  • Is it worth it to upgrade from Mi A1 to Mi A3?

  • How about batter life and other features???

  • Just awesome. Value for money. Better than Note 7 pro.

  • I will stay with my A2 this year. Sorry Xiaomi but i don't like a 720p screen.

  • Enter in Developer Mode and dezactivate screen animations, screen transations and scale duration. Then phone will work smoothly.

  • I bought this phone 3 days ago. Screen is ok, but performance is so bad. Dont buy this crap, overpriced. Animations lagging so much, shame on Xiaomi for optimization.

  • Id buy ae despite the screen resolution not being much. But i always expect it to have better ram than 4gb.

  • Oh man Its screen is a catastrophe

  • as it is android you will find lots of customization and yes you can put any app on home screen if you want so that you don't have to open app drawer

  • Moto G7 power still better option :)

  • Did not want to go back to Samsucks, but I don't fancy huawei either, nowadays it is modern to LACK: JACK, SD-CARD,NFC, RADIO and such, the prices are overwhelming. I still remember paying over 700 euro for me GALAXY S3 back in the day, and promised myself NO MORE.. however , only SAMSUNG managed to DELIVER with the 10 all I want in a 1 device! P.S. I do not care much for screen resolution as longs as it is not 4K, even HD it's fine with me !!

  • Sounds like any other Android phone, sooner or later you could face problems. LG has a worse track record related to bootloops or the Samsung's Note 7 disaster and still people buy those brands. I own a Redmi Note 5 and still runs smoothly after a year.

  • Im wondering about that app drawer since I've never use Android one phone, is it possible to toggle the app to the home screen? As I like it better when the app is easily accessible on the home screen than it being in the app drawer.

  • It is strange that those issue are not common for other members or Android One program but only Xiaomi has problems. I have now Nokia 7.1 (also part of Android One) but there are no issues. Xiaomi has issues and I highly don't recommend buying any Xiaomi product since Xiaomi has very bad quality control.

  • Hello Just bought the phone but face recognition doesn't work!!! Is it a bug or what?!

  • ur bsing u can't see individual pixels even in the 250+ range

  • a 665 isn't low its one of the best budget processors out there it has great effeciency and it can run anything no problem the battery is 4k mAh what more do you want the display is a bit low resolution but still better than redmi 7s display and its honestly a good display as of the camera its the same camera as redmi k20 so ye

  • redmi 7 has even worse screen res and looks great i have seen it myself, why would that amoled slightly better resolution screen be bad?

  • And you forgot that a50 is worse in everything else

  • These issues are always found in android one phones

  • I looked at the screen and too bad the low resolution and low PPI. You can clearly see the pixels and jagged images/videos. Even see youtube videos where they show the screen, clearly can see low pixel. Now compared to Samsung A50 for the same price. Both AMOLED yet A50 is 1080 and 403ppi. Android One is nice, but Mi A3 is terrible right now.

  • It's a little bit funny this low specs inside I'm not one of those who can easily hide, I don't have much money, but boy if I did I'd buy a flag Xiaomi where we both could live.

  • on screen fingerprint scanner works really bad on budget devices and this phone is no exeption, a downgrade in the screen resolution an the soc is slightly less powerfull than snap 660, is has great battery life, but is no woth the money to buy, better wait for next gen or buy another xiaomi

  • If update is provided by Xiaomi and it is Xiaomi phone it is their responsibility to test any kind of update before releasing it. Write on Google Xiaomi Mi A2 bootloop and you will see it is very common. I sent back phone via mail to Xiaomi and said thanks and never again. Avoid Xiaomi products at all cost.

  • OH REALLY? I'm sorry I didn't read the specs that well. But I've been over to the Mi store to have a look at it myself to have a hands-on about the phone and honestly I am all good with this phone. And yes I do noticed the difference of 720p and 1080p between other Xiaomi phones but it didn't bother me tht much. I think it's a great phone overall. I wouldn't recommend this device for heavy gaming but daily use I would say it's a best deal you can get. Let's face it, I know everyone wants a better display, a better processor, a better gpu, a better battery. But if all these goes in, the price wouldn't be the same and then we're gonna start complaining about this should be a budget phone and the price shouldn't be at that particular price point. I'm planning to give up my iPhone and head over for this phone because I don't want to spend so much on a smartphone tbh. Under RM1000 and pure Google software, hell yeah I'm going for this! Even my friend who is currently using a Mi A2 asked me to get the A3.

  • 720p is a deal breaker

  • it feels like a budget device because it is a budget android. It is for those who loves pure android skin and an AMOLED display but can't afford a high-end ones.

  • Just bought it. Feels like a budget device. Will probably give it to my kids. Bezels är huge and the screen is too small. Unexciting.

  • I think bootloops are caused at the hardware/firmware level, nothing to do with the software or the Android skin. It was what happened to LG several years ago.

  • It's a budget phone, the cost of the parts have to be reduced as much as possible. Most people who buy phones at this price range don't care if it's 1080p or 720p.

  • As an Android One user (MiA1 and MiA2), this MiA3 specs is not recommended! There are NO SIGNIFICANT upgrade even compared to the Legendary MiA1.. why SD665? not SD7xx series? why poor display (at least better if the minimum resolutions is 1024 - full HD, with smaller size 5.5-6", and battery >4000mAh).. most of Android One user prefer best/efective specs/performance with Quality and reasonable price! So far, MiA1/MiA2Lite/MiA2 was the good samples (MiA2 need bigger battery)..

  • They should have put a 1080p screen with average camera, average loudspeaker, rear finger print, plastic body... Then u people would've bought it in a second...

  • its android one device, not miui.

  • you already buy it ?

  • That sounds like a conspiracy theory, nobody builds a thing not to be purchased, I think they are just testing people, if there's a market for 720p screens they should be able to save a lot of money in their budget offerings, people should just pass on this phone and next time they will put out something better for the price.

  • Wondering if they fixed software issues with bootloop. Don't expect support from Xiaomi if phone becomes brick after official update. Never buy Xiaomi.

  • Nice

  • This inadequate display could be a business decision to keep Android One enthusiasts from buying this phone just so Xiaomi can claim that their customers prefer MIUI over stock Android.

  • This amoled screen is like a 190ppi LCD. No gsmarena, nobody can live with that.

  • If you are going to say something do some research before posting, the Redmi 7a is less than 5.5" and is 2019.

  • Is the width that counts, obviously 18:9 phone has less screen surface compared to 16:9 phone with same 6" screen

  • 5.5" screen ? are you still living in 2017 16:9 era ? now all phone are 18:9 ratio, it would be ridiculous small phone, even compact phone like S10e are 5.8". For 18:9 minimum requirement should be 6.1"

  • The display resolution is so low that I think it doesn't need a better processor than what it has, go for the CC9 for the real deal.

  • If it had a 710 or 730 it would be so good! O3O

  • Yes but that's an LCD display, really 1080p AMOLED is what midrange phones should aim at, LCD should be left to budget devices, 720p should be left for devices less than 5.5". Anything below the above a company is just trying to get smart with their customers.

  • Look at the CC9, it's really what this phone should have been.

  • Yes you can see individual pixels in "retina displays" 326ppi I guess jobs said that because at the time he couldn't do any better, iPhone X 458ppi proves apple knew their old displays had to be improved,

  • The Honor 10 comes with Full HD display!

  • Mmmm pls should put 1080p + 6gb of ram perfect pack

  • Actually I can easily distinguish even 320 ppi. At least 400 is required for not able to see separate pixels from normal eye distance but you also get used to lower ppis after some time and you forget about that

  • How so? It's a great phone I'm telling ya...

  • Xiaomi was doing the cheap thing to make a name for themselves, apparently they have reached their goal now, this subpar product is one example, on the high end they are starting to do the apple thing, namely no SD cards, no 3.5 jack in some devices and prices a little up. Consumers should learn not buy crippled or substandard products just because of the price. That's just inviting manufacturers have their way on their customers, in the end that is what apple is all about.

  • Many don't like the screen resolution of this phone. But when Apple first came out with 'retina display' at 326 ppi, they argued that human eye can not resolve anything finer than that. And A3's ppi isn't that much lower at 286 ppi. Does that mean Apple was lying? I'm not a Xiaomi fanboy by any means, just wondering about this.

  • It's a great phone, speedy and thanks to the (not so low) resolution of the screen the large battery holds some two days before I need to charge it.

  • Calculate the area and you will see that the aspect ratio matters. Mi A3 (6.08" 19.5:9) area is slightly smaller than Mi A2 (5.99" 18:9)

  • No. That's not how it works. 6 inches is still 6 inches even if it's a different aspect ratio.

  • thick as brick and 720p displayoh come on.Mi A series should have slim design and full hd display. This one is garbage

  • I'm using mi5s, and i hope they can customize and sell android one firmware for it 😗

  • It have same specs as mi cc9e but it has priced of mi cc9 why its better to take mi cc9 if mi a3 has same price as mi cc9 its to take better mi cc9

  • Hmmm not a good idea going 720p res because I can already see the pixels on my 5.9 inch 1080p screen other than that and the processor which I can name a couple more devices at the same price with better chips is an okay device

  • Was hoping for one, and thus becoming my new device... well shoo!!!

  • Please provide proof.

  • There is NFC on this device.

  • I use a Honor 10 phone, 5.84 inch display and 720p resolution, 288ppi. I Have no issue using it whatsoever, as colors are good and I can't notice pixels. This AMOLED will surely look good enough for 99% of users. It's just the numbers that bother all of you. The lack of NFC is a much much bigger issue here, but some don't even use it. Camera is great, battery is great, software is great. This will be a good mid-range for users who don't need NFC.

  • This doesn't apply to all AMOLED displays. Galaxy S2 - RGB, Galaxy J5 2015 - Diamond Pentile, Galaxy J7 Nxt - RGBG Pentile. My J7 Nxt (267ppi) seems significantly sharper than my dad's J5 (294ppi, 188ppi effective). A typical RGB matrix would show its true ppi, it has 3 subpixels. Diamond Pentile has 2 subpixels with a circular green subpixel. RGBG (or RGB, in GSMArena's terms) also has 2 subpixels also with an extra green (in some cases, blue) subpixel, but it's rectangular, in other words 2 subpixels, but 3 effective. If you see an AMOLED Diamond Pentile display with a ppi of 441 or higher, you should be fine as the effective ppi would be 294, you can't really see pixels at that ppi. To conclude, RGB and RGBG will be fine, but Diamond Pentile is something to avoid when it comes to 720p and 1080p (depending on screen size) displays. If you want to see RGBG, go to the Galaxy A7 (2016) review, for Diamond Pentile, go to the OnePlus 3 review, both have 5.5" 1080p displays. The difference between Super AMOLED and AMOLED is that sAMOLED has the digitizer integrated to the display. Not much difference in real life though, barely noticeable. Hope this helped :)

  • The iphone se isn't a 1080p :DDD It's a 640p I own an Iphone se too and I'm looking forward to switching with the mi a3. I'm not sure though... I feel like 720p isn't enough for me.

  • No NFC, no buy! I love this device and i expected to have NFC on the next version. Too bad, it's a great device, but i need NFC and i want something with Android One. Every brand fights at the camera megapixels but forgot functionality. NFC it's a must in these days! Great OS, good hardware, but no vision and adaptability for the market.

  • There's no way this has a pentile screen right?

  • This has become a bit of a habit for Xiaomi now, a whole lot of new devices and a whole lot of poor choices. Xiaomi is trying to do with brands like Samsung previously did. At 250 Euros this phone definitely needed a 1080p screen specially given the screen size. For a stock android experience you should now have to make that large of a compromise.

  • Still no NFC? 🤔

  • Yeah... I guess 720p is enough for me. No offence to other people but personally I feel it’s a great phone, I am someone who look for a software which is pure and less bloatware. This phone for me is a very good deal. I know they compromised the display to 720p BUT you have a great camera AND (maybe) a battery that can last you a day or 2. My personal phone is an iPhone SE with 1080p display and a office OPPO A3S with 720p, for me I can’t really notice any difference between these 2.

  • I had a 5.5" screen 720p, pixels were clearly visible, can't imagine in a 6" or more screen, a complete waste of money and time if what you are sayng is correct.

  • I have A50, it's a good phone but One UI can't compare with stock Android fluidity and speed.

  • Pentile displays seem to be about 2/3 of the stated pixel density. So this would be 188, similar to a 5" 854x480 display.

  • For the price... Actually it's necessary if they put the NFC in... It would be an automatic buy for me & maybe lots of people considering the price...

  • What is the lauch date os Mi A3??

  • That is basically the Xiaomi CC9, if you want that get that but it will be more expensive.

  • I believe the Xiaomi Mi A3 should launch in India with upgraded features like: 1. Full HD resolution Display 2. Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 chipset Processor (better than SD 675 on Redmi Note 7 Pro) 3. Dedicated microSD card slot 4. P2i nano coating splash proof 5. In-box 18W fast charger 6. 4GB+64GB / 6GB+128GB at ₹14,990 and ₹17,990 respectively

  • Yeah, preference, it matters. But 720p is not bad as most people would downrate it to. I have a 1080p phone but I rarely watch 1080p movies because I can only watch 1hour movie from afar (less stress to my eye) to a point that a 720p resolution doesn't matter anymore. Youtube even automatically uses 720p and no one even noticed that it's only 720p until I checked the settings. If people really are too concerned about movie watching, the deep blacks and crisp colors from a SUPER AMOLEDs and the story line were the ones being remembered. No ones watching a movie and says, deym that movie svcks it's only 720p.

  • It really depends on one's preferences. I personally prefer a 1080p screen, since I play a lot of games and watch a lot of videos, especially movies.

  • Anything below 320 PPI in a display definitely not good.

  • Mi A3 or Galaxy A50

  • As in the past there is identical phone with MiUi instead of Android One. But CC9e is just a cheaper version of CC9 that have Snapdragon 710 and proper fullHD display so I bet there gone be Mi A3 Pro coming in near future.

  • This phone max settings is 720p, you can max your settings, LOL. you can also set HD setting in a higher res screen phone, difference is you can get better picture quality in other applications that do not require more processing power, but with this phone you are stuck with 720p no matter what task you run. In a while greater processors will come out for cheap and we all will be laughing at this "controversy" all but those purchased this they will be stuck with a bad screen till they sell the phone, and it will sell for a low price.

  • You guys blabbering about display & u guys want run game with max seting on 1080p display on cheap phone... Really????? Ithink u guys know nothing... Even samsung s10 with sd 855 lagging..seriously. Do u guys trying with real phone or not? 720p best for me i can max all seting in game

  • PPI is about 282 on paper, but because pentile amoled is even low than that so it's a problem

  • Blade redmi phone this is phones or vegetables so many models launch in market. Market was so distanced 😡

  • Many people compare MI A3 with the previous version and find a downgrade in the screen sector. Now imagine that one day the iPhone XR successor will have a good upgrade except for a downgraded screen.

  • The iPhone XR has an 828 display, this phone a 720p: that's about 85% the quality of the XR. The screen sizes are similar. So I guess the display shouldn't look too bad, because the XR display doesn't look pixelated for me at least.

  • I personally do not see the reason why people are hating on 720p. If it's stock Android, AMOLED and 4000mAh+ am already sold on the idea of having it.

  • 4030mah with 720p panel and midrange cpu,the battery on this thing must last forever. I still personally think that they should have used 1080p lcd screen instead. Im interested if someone who owns the phone shares how many hours screen on time it gets.

  • this could be the perfect mid ranger if not for the 720p panel..

  • The hate bandwagon has already been started and everyone's happy to jump-in. lol.

  • No. I don't have an android One phone but it's pretty much stock Android. Second space is MIUI's feature.

  • Human eyes can learn and adapt to whichever thing it's exposed to. I just don't see the big disadvantage of having a phone with 720p AMOLED, my eyes can adapt to it. I don't see myself running around with a 1080p phone and telling anyone that their 720p phone sucks.

  • High Resolution Audio is not a problem with Qualcomm devices running stock Qualcomm spec DAC. The main problem with these is the amplifier. You can have a high resolution FLAC file which can be played just fine but it's the amplifier that decides which headphones can be driven. Can it play/render High Resolution Audio file? YES. Can this drive high impedance (32Ohms and above) headphones? Probably, but at very low volume.

  • I wish there were no depth sensor rathe a telephoto lense would be great.

  • Mi A series should have thin body (3,800 mah will do), Not less than 1080p screen resolution, no f*cking notch. I like Mi A2 a lot than this one (except the battery). they slowly killing their android one dept. because they want to their ugly miui to take over and shove us to the consumer. a big no no for me.

  • This year 6 inches means nothing, because all screens are elongated. You must look at the width, and I bet it's comparable to the previous ones of 5 inch.

  • What truly matters its not the 1080p or the 720p but the PPI (pixel density) and this phone still have surprisingly 286 PPI, a touch under "retina grade". not to mention that your eye will having hard time distinguish screen above 300 PPI from 60~80 cm distance. so unless you use your phone like a freakin vr googles, its still pretty damn good. But personally, i'm more interested on what the combination will bring to battery life. This is an Amoled 720p, 11nm SD665, 4030 mAh and AndroidOne should bring stellar battery life. Also, MicroSD in this series with 3.5mm jack and USB-C? I'll check on the price of this thing in my place, this might be my second phone.

  • Ok you buy your low end trash screen phones while everyone else buys high res screen phones. I notice the jump from 1080p to 1440p when I change the resolution on my LG V30, 720p is awful. It may have been ok in 2016 and earlier when phone screens were barely any bigger than 5 inches, but this is 2019, this phone has a 6 inch screen.

  • I wish xiaomi will release a pro variant with same specs like k20 or cc9

  • I use HD+ 720p on my Samsung S8 even if it supports FHD and QHD. I tried switching to FHD just to compare and I can barely see any difference. I need to see the actual A3 before judging the screen.

  • It's real name is Mi A3 Lite, and if you compare it with the Mi a2 lite there are many improvements, i saw it's oled HD+ screen with my eyes and i didn't see any pixel, less pixels = more battery life, in my opinion on a 6" smartphone is a good bargain. Under 200€ it's a best buy, right now there are better options.

  • They went fully experimental on this device, I don't think Xiaomi care about the Mi A series as before, they're more focused on strengthening their new Redmi brand.

  • Worse chipset, camera ,no ir blaster, slower fast charging, less battery life, only gg3 and worse build quality

  • Wow best phone veryy goood for gaming on 720p..even sd 845 laging on 1080p its best coice to go 720p.beter than redmi note 7/pro beter than poco

  • Worse spec. Just tell me how?

  • really subjective. i like it under the display, it's easier to unlock if the phone is mounted while you drive or while it's mounted while you are on a bike, or even if the phone is lying on the desk and you get a mail and you want to read it while eating.. you don't have to pick up the phone to unlock it. and these were just a few examples why it's better if it's under the display (so it's not on the back..)

  • A50 sucks and it's more expensive worse specs and doesn't have android one

  • It's not about processors. Samsung's software is s**t

  • Who is going to buy a phone without full hd display in 2019 Its a joke to be honest

  • I've been waiting for this phone for ages. Now, they screwed it. I used a Xiaomi Mi Max 3 for 10 months and it's a worthless sh*t. Not really, bu YEAH - you know... (No bluetooth music at the start for 3 months. Now plenty of bugs and no GPS at all SINCE FREAKIN FEBRUARY!!! - It came with the Android 9 but they didn't solved it yet.) I really DO NOT like how Xiaomi, Google and other fancy brands make softwares nowadays - so i wanted the purest Android version possible (knowing it's not perfect...). With this phone killing my wishes - I'll go for the Mi 9T (I like pure screens without notches) and root it at once - if possible - to get rid of the really-really annoying Xiaomi-based bloatware apps. I DO hate them.

  • cool give me one please

  • I'm not happy they ditched the fingerprint-reader on the rear (best placement imo.) and replaced it with a glass panel - else it would've been my goto right now, so I keep waiting...

  • Yeah.. Samsung Processors are S***t

  • i have a mi a1 with a 400 dpi density and recently tried a galaxy a40 with a super amoled 430dpi screen, and i could definitely tell pixelation. This screen will be horrible :(

  • Nope. It is obviously have the differences. Trust me. You just compared it with 1080 and 720. People noticed it, as the quality is too obvious. I have no idea why u can say "barely" no differences at all.

  • I am very disappointed. 720 resolution? no nfc? overpriced? the only good thing about this phone is the camera.

  • Xiaomi Indonesia said it won't happen

  • Yes, 720p kill all the other specs, even if there put in Snapdragon 855, 12GB RAM 1TB ROM, 64MP camera or whatever. Because our interaction with the phone are thru the screen, 720p is total failure.

  • I like the names for the color variations :)

  • Mi A3 have feature Second Space like ini MIUI?

  • Too bad it has no NFC....

  • Nice Gpu Adreno 610 are Join Play Fortnite i like This

  • all plastic no nfc i dont mind paying for quality this is a sh#tty saying as the mi a1 user, brought back the headphone jack ohh the camera are fine at best

  • Fail. 720p, no NFC. Go for Galaxy A50

  • when is it sold in Indonesia?

  • are y'all really gonna wimp and cry about the 720p display? are y'all gonna ignore the rest of the features at this price point? lol

  • Does it have HIGH RES Audio support for headphone?

  • The specs aren't great either, other phones have started using snapdragon 710 chip set, while this one is stuck with 660

  • I like games and for me is good and mobile have fast charging 3.5mm good camera and battery.

  • Going through the specs I was really excited, and had even started to think that this would be my next mobile purchase. Until I got to the 720p part. That just ruined everything.

  • You think you can notice a screen resolution difference in a youtube video?

  • Chinese phones sold in EU incurs taxes. The phone is only 219USD (4/64GB) in online market in Asia which is around 195Euro.

  • 720p display, in this range of device this is not good choice to buy Xiaomi Mi A3 in 250 eur, in Indian rupees about Rs-/ 19,200.

  • I dont know why people complain so much. You will barely see the difference between 720 and 1080. If you dont trust me then look at Recombus comparision video of Moto One (720) and Nokia 7.1 (1080) on Youtube. Yes Xiaomi could have opted for 1080 on a LCD screen but I believe AMOLED is much more premium and pleasing to the eye. XIaomis other recently launched 1080-AMOLED phones like Mi 9 SE (280 EUR) and 9T (300 EUR) are more expensive. So 720 with beautiful colours will help both in terms of looks and battery life. You have to remeber that Mi A-series has been a part of the lower midrange section. Now Android-purists can enjoy a nice phone with AMOLED-screen without having to pay 7-800 EUR (Nokia 9 and Nokia 8 Sirocco).

  • This Mobile Is Not Worth Of 250 Euro . Dont Buy It . You Can Buy Nokia X71 Its Will Cost You 290euro Thats Also An Android One . Or You Can Buy Lenovo Z6 It Will Cost You Like 270euro . Its Got Snapdragon 730 8nm Prossesor. 2x Optic Zoom 8x Hybrid Zoom . 120 HZ Display.

  • Nokia Pureview a budget phone!?! Are you out of your mind? It's a 800$ phone...

  • 286ppi ...hhhhhhhhhhhhh..kkkkkkkkkkkk

  • There is no more horrible compromise in a phone than a bad screen, it's what you look at all the time, the cameras and processor in the A50 are good enough for most people.

  • that's good

  • As a Mi A2 owner I don't see anything in this phone worth buying. Lower specs screen, glass back, small notch. Only benefit is one more unnecessary camera on back. Mi A2 is really a better phone than this.

  • If this isn't fake news (since it's posted in GSM then it must be true!), then it's the perfect budget phone. I don't mind the lower resolution if it's an AMOLED screen. This is better than anything Samsung can offer at this price point. The specs say the phone has a gyro sensor, which means that the camera will have some sort of crude optical stabilization, something which is offered only by the Samsung mid-range A50 (not the budget range A30, A20 or A10). Other things to look out for (if true): Type C connector, Wifi AC, SD card slot, coupled with ample 4000mAh battery (ASUS appears to be the only mainstream OEM that offers 5000mAh budget or near-budget phones). Hope GSM Arena got all of the specs right. Holding out my purchase until I confirm the phone features. BTW only I hate is the glass back, but the aluminum, not plastic frame makes up for the shortcoming somewhat.

  • So let's see a50 has better display Mi a3 has better build processor battery life android one camera ,doesn't have shitty fp sensor and network connection, and has better audio quality and cheaper price. So can you explain how a50 is better?

  • Its not a joke, compare this phone with the note 7 pro. The mi a3 has amoled display (but lower resolution), ultrawide camera sensor in addition, under display fingerprint which is more expensive and a very close chipset level. Similar price to both.

  • I hope they release a Mi A3 Pro with 1080 Screen and 6GB Ram. Basically a CC9 with Android One. This will kill a lot of their current phones though...

  • Logical thoughts

  • Android One is something USP .

  • Xiaomi Mi A3 is a joke. Xiaomi is just silently killing the Android One series, to make their MIUI crappy phones outsell them.

  • so yeah its a A50 with worse screen but better selfie and rear cameras! and the price should be real close to the A50 so it all comes down to what you prefer, Better Screen or Better Cameras?

  • Yes, the 720p screen is a bit of a let down (but it's actually rather good), the processor should be better (but it's quite enough in terms of everyday routines), and yes, the price should be lower (and it soon will be), but the real problem for me is the amount of RAM. 4GB of RAM doesn't make this phone future-proof, as it's quite clear that most new apps (and the existing ones as well) are getting more and more resource-hungry, and 4GB will be lower league in a year for every advanced user out there who uses, for example, phone automation apps, alternative email clients, screen control apps, non-stock launchers, lockscreen notification apps (since phones no longer light up for new notifications and have no notification LEDs), etc. If there would be a version with 6GB of RAM, I'd jump the gun and buy the phone in an instant. Right now, I'm not so sure.

  • we are always with you xiaomi go forward

  • how?

  • take it easy hahahaha.......

  • I was so looking forward to this phone especially since it's somewhat compact but the specs really let me down big time. It's a worthless upgrade over Mi A2.

  • Pocophone still better

  • It takes great pictures you can see on it's great 720p display... yeah ok. It may make sense for gaming but the games are going to look pixelated.. how nice.

  • 720p display.. about same price as A50... don't think so.

  • A50 doesn't have 4K video recording. This phone also has superior camera and battery comparing to A50.

  • Samsung phone is a king of lag lol

  • I don't get it. Why would I pick this over CC9e? Specs are exactly the same and the only difference is that I can unlock phone's bootloader without problems versus CC9e whole Mi Unlock bullshit. But going through the hassle on CC9e, I can get the exact same ROM like on A3 and save 80 EUR? Doesn't make any sense to pay that much for easy bootloader unlock option.

  • Acfually not! Mi a3 has Better camera Better performance Better fingerprint reader- a50 in -dsplay scanner sucks Best for single handed use

  • does it have high res audio support for headphone s

  • A50 is so much better than this ....

  • Yeah thats a real copy of A50 ...... it is a shame ...

  • I'll just go for galaxy a50 better ..

  • MI first super AMOLED display phone 720HD it's long battery life great camera less price

  • Looks like a copy of the galaxy A50

  • Good point. It looks like the device should cost less with SD 660 and the less than average PPI. You do have a point though.

  • Finally a logical comment... I have 1080 LCD redmi note 6 pro and my friend has 720 Amoled samsung j7 core, I put the two phones together and I couldnt tell a difference, Numbers are good indicators, but they are not everything

  • Mi A2 has 1080p FHD+ IPS display and boasted with 3000mAH battery. In other hand, this Mi A3 has 720p HD+ Super AMOLED with 4030mAH battery. I f you look closely, Xiaomi trying to drastically improve the battery lifetime by reducing the resolution and increasing the battery capacity. Also, in normal distance, 720p OLED with 1080p IPS is actually didn't have any significant difference. Yes, 720p is much less dense than 1080p, but you won't really notice the difference, unless you see in distance of 10 cm or below from your eyes.

  • Low resolution screen is a major problem.

  • People where looking for mi a earlier compare to Nokia because of good spec at affordable price, now they lost both the tag with this Mi A3, now game on for Nokia, if they able to release a decent phone for $300, they could win the market.

  • The screen resolution is indeed a downgrade. But you are so wrong in saying that the SD665 is a downgrade from A1's SD625.

  • Xiaomi does not control the pricing of each of the respective parts they sourced. Do you think that smartphone parts does not increase too? Haven't you noticed that ever since Xiaomi Stayed away from China-based screen and went to Samsung for AMOLED, their Redmi and A series prices shot-up? The A3 is one of the best Android One phones for the price out there.

  • Nokia is way more overpriced Android One option, it's performance and camera choices doesn't even translate to their target price points. Motorola is even better option than Nokia but then it's still have higher price than the Mi A3. Motorola's One Vision is so far the best Android One phone on higher price bracket while Mi A3 is best on it's current price point.

  • Nokia make more sense with android one.

  • A3 resolution is downgrade, my A1 have 1080p, chipset also downgrade. speed just have LTE-A (2CA) .........

  • OLED probably costs more than LED so they had to drop resolution to compensate for price. Hopefully it'll have decent color accuracy that'll make up for its resolution deficiency.

  • Display and Price is Not Great .....

  • What kind of game xiaomi is playing, trying to take an advantage of their image and offering less optimum devices for the price?

  • LOL, A3 has lower resolution than A2 (how retard is this)

  • Mi a2 is batter then a3

  • Mi A2 full HD Mi A3 HD Why?

  • MiA2 is trash compared to this. lol. Does MiA2 has: - MicroSD slot? - 3.5mm jack? - 4030mAH battery? - 48MP and Ultrawide Rear Cameras? MiA3 is the best Android One Smartphone at its target pricepoint. Mi A2 is more of a compromise phone on its release previously, you'll have to trade lots of nice features just to get Android One.

  • It's sąd because this phone is almost perfect. Amoled, Jack, indisplay fingerprint, SoC good enough for every use. But 720p just ruins it. Even A2 lite had 1080p display so wtf xiaomi?

  • Review?

  • NFC is missing

  • mi A2 is beter

  • While Mi A2 sells for ₱9000 ($180) in online stores. The only thing I'm seeing an upgrade is the slightly better SoC, AMOLED and waterdrop display. The jump in price range isn't worth it IMO, especially with the 720p downgrade. But if you want to have more usage before charging (11nm SoC and HD are great power savers compared to A2's 12nm and FHD), this is a great choice then.

  • i think this is lite version

  • Those mad questions dont need to be answered...hahaha

  • this is cc9e so i think it is gone be a3 lite and a3 is cc9

  • nokia is beter

  • The screen resolution is a major letdown here. Many similar priced phones has same OLED screen at higher resolution.

  • The 720p screen ruins the phone

  • will 720p display hamper any future updates?

  • Did XIAOMI purposely put a 720p screen on this phone so that people would avoid it and look elsewhere to their other phones with their crappy MiUI.

  • I had been waiting for for Mi A3 for the past 3 three months after having used Mi A1 for a little over 1one year and 10 (ten) months. But it a is disapointment anout the specifications .,like Screen resolution and large bezels at the bottom

  • The color variants though.. :D

  • Of all the Android One phones (not only from Xiaomi), this is the one I liked and is best for its price point.

  • The capability to record 1080p60 is not in any way related to the screen resolution. The phone can record 1080p60 regardless of it's screen resolution.

  • amazing

  • Nonsense. This phone was launched in Spain. NFC payments in Europe are mainstream. They'd better replace the IR by an NFC chip.

  • And 1080p and 4k screen is also old. Everything is old and your mind set is oldest. 😂

  • Idk man. It's like Google themselves choose the names for the colours

  • I was thingking to have this phone if it had SDM710 and 6.3" FHD screen at that price range, because you know it's the more affordable android one device. But my feeling broke, and then i'll pass it (again).

  • anyone know its price for indian version please share

  • Honestly y'all should stop complaining about the lower res screen. It's like the iPhone xr and previous older models with 720p screens. Even more, this screen is oled which is a major upgrade. Although not huge, the improvement to the 665 chip is pretty fine. It also has an ultrawide camera and Sony imx 586 sensor. Lastly nfc, the market this phone is intended for doesn't really need nfc. If you want it, buy another phone and stop complaining.

  • your exaggerating, the 28 mm chips would be at least 3-4 years

  • man. those color variations are just "KINDA WEIRD" for me

  • Hope they will make Mi A3 pro which is CC9 with Android one

  • Hello, guys I just want to ask if the HD+ resolution of an android can screen record 1080@60fps?

  • I don't understand the issue about resolution. I have been using 13.3" 720p and 17.3 1080p laptops my whole life. I never had any issue with viewing anything on such screens. If you are such "high res" fans or "users who MUST have high res", just look elsewhere. This device is awesome and it brings AMOLED to xiaomi's AndroidOne line!!

  • So, the updated version of the Mi A2 is a lower resolution screen and no NFC? Wtf, nfc is so useful for payments and 720p in such a big screen is so ridiculous...

  • 720p dispay is the mejor downgrade

  • How funny!! 720p display with SD 665 😂 Really is it possible for xiaomi? I can't believe. Xiaomi going to be a cheating company day by day.

  • weird colors hahahah

  • Major Down Grade is the CPU and RAM it should be atlist 6GB instead of 4GB. and also SD710 instead of SD665.

  • 720p is the only good screens they do not suck the battery dry!

  • But Mediatek is at 12nm only Unisoc still uses 28nm...

  • This will be a new battery champ tho

  • 11nm is old tech by today standard, newer chips uses 7nm chips, those 28nm chips are at least 5 years old. i would also calling 720p screen "Old",Screen Notch "Old", 4GB RAM "Old", 128GB ROM "Old".

  • Excuse me? 11nm is old? You clearly haven't seen phones with Mediatek chips with A53 cores at 28nm.

  • I would not buy it even over A2 Lite! HD screen! Unacceptable.

  • Do u really think, This is the successor of A2 with this ridiculous specification ?🤣 Then don't release in India, Because I don't want to upgrade my A2🤬

  • It's same as cc9e but has Android one and no nfc it has less features and it's more expensive

  • You're comparing European price of A3 with Chinese price of CC9. Wait for A3 to appear at Chinese resellers and then compare pricing. All phones officially sold in EU have higher pricing.

  • No NFC... good bye xiaomi. I had the A1 and upgraded to the A2, but not going to buy the A3

  • It does have corning gorilla glass 5 on the both front and back or just in the back?

  • it looks like cc9e but with higher price?

  • will see this features of A3 + FHD plus screen on Redmi Note 8

  • Display dowgrade resolution from previous A2 .. but same battery capacity. So there are pros and cons. Screen usage will be better since it's use more powerful and energy efficient 11 nm SOC...

  • This is the most disappointing part. Even more so than the lower RAM and display downgrade.

  • We must realized Mi A series (Android One) are Xiaomi adopted child and phone with MIUI are Xiaomi owns child so no wonder the Mi A series will get inferior specs than the MIUI's. Accept it or leave it, because there is nothing we can do about it.

  • damn for 250 euro... it is complete package, headphone jack(i'm back), infrared, sd slot and big battery. extras are amoled (though 720p) and camera.

  • It's a midrange phone that's why it has the SD 665

  • Release the Redmi Note 8 with New Features, and got your names back "The Price Destroyer"

  • I don't think so. But why they just released A3 with 720p display, it's not worth even A3 is have AMOLED screen type, would be better i think if that A3 have IPS LCD and 1040p Display. I just so proud with the chipset but actually not with Amoled and 720p display, dissapointed, would be better get Redmi Note 8 isn't it?

  • you ask a lot for a mid-range team that is amoled and worst of all you ask for 6 gb of ram, knowing that you will only use it to play free fire take pictures and make calls if you want more ram buy a portable noob !!!

  • SD845, excuse me.

  • You can buy a Pocophone with a SD645 chip and 6 gb ram for the same price or less. Who would buy this mi a3 ? Get a pocophone.

  • They will release another more powerful mi a3, this is just a lower end model, thats all.

  • Maybe, the Mi 9CC will be an A3 Pro someday.

  • This is actually the Mi CC9e, which is an 170-180 € phone. Xiaomi wants the extra 25% just so you can have the Android one.

  • Its mi A3 lite mi A3 pro is coming soon

  • me too :/

  • Xiaomi CC9 is the real Mi A3. This is garbage.

  • and it should also cost 400 dollars, for that the 9 is already available.....

  • The Worst Phone From Xiaomi Please Ignore It Completely So That They Again Launch A Fone Like MiA1 MiA2 Is A Flop And This MiA3 Will Be Also A Flop Phone Bad Specifications Bad Processor Bad Everything I Have MiA2 6+128Gb And It Can't Even Run PUBG Smooth Even In Lowest Graphics Settings Please Don't Buy This Fone MiA3

  • Over price ....nokia is there for Android one users.

  • So disappointing and poor specs...repeating mistakes again.. Weak performance with humble display 👎

  • was eagerly waiting for this mi A3 ...very disappointed ...moto one vision or nokia 8.1 is much much better in specs and price ...

  • It is just HD (720p) unfortunately. It should have at least FHD (1080p). They did one of the basic mistakes. Major mistakes are: 1st low perfomance C.P.U. (should have 7 or 8 series C.P.U.). 2nd low R.A.M. capacity 4GB (should have 6 and 8 GB of R.A.M.). 3rd low S.S.D. capacity 64 and 128GB ( should have 128GB and 256GB).

  • That's because a50 is a copy of xiaomi mi 9

  • Y right, disappointed with display quality .

  • Not worthy for $300, for $250 its okay for ONLY HD screen

  • you can order it right now from aliexpress with other name cc9e 4/64 208$ Do not care about these prices

  • I've got A1 for almost a year,and it's been great.You can buy A1,even A2 for less than 150 euro.A3 is 170-180 euro phone and Xiaomi wants 250 for it?Greed isn't your way,Xiaomi..it never was,don't start now.For 60euro more you can get Mi9,vastly superior device.

  • Looks like a copy of A50 only in looks though

  • Terrible, 720p, old cpu (11nm is old and 260 architecture is old) and 250 euro?????

  • I think there will be Mi A3 pro model. This model is probably like "lite" for Mi A2 :)

  • Even the Mi A2 lite had a Full HD+ display

  • Disappointed all I can say! Was looking forward to the A3 for so long because of android one now I rather consider mi 9cc😭👎

  • Why it has not nfc

  • wow for the colors

  • Yeah downgrade the display, maybe for better battery life?

  • What rubbish, 720*1560 Pixel with 286ppi! It is not adjustable display in 2019.

  • Yes, me too i am sticking with my mi a2 this year, but i hope maybe they would release a mi a3 plus or pro. But probably not.

  • Seems like Xiaomi doesn't want to sell Android One Phones.

  • yep ur right, metal phones are better

  • If they were gonna go with weak GPU they might as well have given us the Helio P60 would made the device cheaper... x-x

  • We really need more than 720p on a phone? We did fine with TVs at 720p in the past just fine... :S

  • I feel like this Mi A3 is a Mi A2 Lite with some small buffs. Yep, this year I'm skipping the Mi A3 and staying with my Mi A2.

  • Well idk if miui supports it but you could just install a ROM if it doesn't. (Ok edit: Right after posting this I remembered it's not miui)

  • They legit downgraded the screen's resolution from the mi a2.

  • Maybe thats what they want us to do!

  • What ?!!! 720 P !!!

  • Hello, Does anyone know if the Mi A3 has Always on display? As it has an Amoled screen and doesn't have a notification LED, it should definitely have some way of notifying the user when a notification is received.

  • because super amoled high cost, so xiaomi use HD+ not FHD+... right?

  • Its really disappointed

  • Here in the phil. They sell it in gray market for 12300php or 170euro

  • Lol Is this the official price? xiaomi If you cut the ads of this device i'll buy this or else go for galaxy a50 6/128 with the same price 250 euro

  • 720p screen, are we still in 2015 ??

  • 665? I thought its going to be atleast 710. What a let down :(

  • oh really!!!!cc9e is launched for 100 euros less ....can you tell us why....price is also a major drawback here...

  • 720p screen? lol. No thanks.

  • exactly...

  • why it's worse than a2?

  • go for redmi k20 if you don't want any notch but this phone for the pricing 199.99$ to 210$ it super hero you cant find any phone with so good specs & thid pricing

  • Exactly you are right

  • it have 5 draw back - No IP67/68 Certify - No wireless charge - A Notch and 6inch is kind'a big - No NFC, not like i need it but i still want it! - No dual speaker Pro - 720p which is nice make game go vroom vroom without instant kill your battery, all 6 inch phone should be 720p people want more that that can go buy a sony or something! - To say 720p on a 6 inch is low res and crap is just ignorant! for someone is a placebo effect but i'm sure 100% look crystal clean! and more important... it's AMOLED! - Android One is a huge plus - External SD card slot and Jack is also a good welcome - 48mp new Sony sensor why not - I wish it make out of plastic so it can't shatt... it made out of glass back... that a con - Infared? well yes, thanks this basically 7/10 perfect phone!

  • really disappointing for that SoC and price

  • 720 x 1560 pixels !!!!!!!

  • A3 Pro coming soon

  • I think A3 pro will have pop up camera and better display resolution.

  • Why not pop up camera, Why that ugly notch

  • Well, Similar situation here, I'm still using my good ol A1 and bought a A2 for my wife like 7 months ago, It was supposed to be my turn with the A3!!!! (Tantrum like a child) plainly put, Processor is not so impressive, even less powerful than A2, same ram, same storage, on the upside SD card and headphone jack are coming back but they are still on my A1 so jeje don't see the point, camera I guess but, again A1 is holding it's ground... I still want NEW TOY, and still wat to have the full collection but ohhhhhh not sure what to do!!! If I'm strong I will wait for the A4 but... It's HARD.

  • Over price

  • This looks good but the only complaint is, why a super amoled screen? two samsung phones amoled over the last couple of years have screen burn in and look awful.

  • 720p is okay,! But 720p in 6.1" screen size with 250€ in 2019 that reason is not okay!

  • Haiz. Was eager to upgrade from A2 Lite till i see No NFC / No Separate MMC Card Slot. Lower PPI Plus Point is USB C Fast Charging / Front Screen In Build Finger Scanner / Amoled Guess gonna wait for A4 then...LOL or Samsung A70 for this price segment.. #Dissapointment

  • Is it xiomi a3 and cc9 similar phone

  • *apple* iPhone xr leaves chat

  • Google Pixel 4 and Nokia 10 will cost about 1.000€. With those money i buy Apple iPhone Xs and Samsung Galaxy s10.

  • Xiaomi came out too many great phones but too bad with notches.

  • Maybe in specs, but I'll never buy an iPhone or one of it's clones.

  • This is a HUGE disappointment with the screen res. Im so happy to see AMOLED, but this res is inexcusable, charge the extra $5 if you have to...

  • So why no one said a word when samsung launched a20 for 200€ with the same crap display?I know it's cheaper but it has way worse camera and performance than mi a3. And also it had 3gb ram and 32gb storage and a plastic body

  • Just disappointed. 😢

  • Xiaomi has to be playying. This costs €250 staring price , first of all, it should be mi a3 lite and second of all,it should be way below that

  • Very disappointed about it. Screen downgrade, no NFC, Snapdragon 665 !? It doesn't make sense for me. Seems like Xiaomi wants to kill A series.... No excuses, it should be the CC9 instead of CC9e....

  • LoL, A2 had 6 choice. A2 32/4 64/4 128/6 A2 lite 32/3 64/4 32/4 , now there is only 2 and max ram is 4. :D only from this fact you should understand they want to close A lineup. They were not to happy having so good selling android one. Look at other fact Mi A3 price is 220 Mi cc9e 190 phones are same, but they overpriced Android one. (last fact may not be wright)

  • If they put 1080p display for sure Mi CC9 with MiUi device market will be treathen.thats why the down graded the display..lol

  • It's actually really a balanced phone. Got new chipset--I dunno the result score for single-core, multi-core. It's pleasant looking. HD+, despite being downgraded from A2, it's actually a nice decision to use due to maximizing battery usage. Super AMOLED is a great choice because Android Q will have a full dark mode that actually saves battery life and extends the battery life, alongside with reduced display resolution. Gaming is actually good if we looking for the GPU Adreno 610. 4GB RAM is enough for daily task and some gaming sequence. It's not a big deal breaker because Android One actually has great memory optimization, like the iPhone. Also, Android not much using RAM that lot--especially A3 is stock android. Plus it has 64-128GB ROM with expandable ability to 256GB using MicroSD card, so people's happy about that. Not to mention for jack 3,5mm that come back again, so be happy Mi A1 user that want to upgrade into this phone. Mi A3 isn't a perfect budget smartphone. It's simple, yet balanced phone. This phone is made for the people who keep things balanced. I've seen there are so many people freaks out about 4GB of RAM and 720p display but with zero knowledge about the real reason why Xiaomi decide that. Don't listen to them.

  • :) than buy pixel 4 if you want SD 855, no more android ones will have that, mb some nokia 10 may have it in 2020 :D :D :D . It would be cool if they give as SD 730 + 6G ram + 1080p and price 300-350 :(

  • Yes that is a big true. I am owner of previous Xiaomi Mi A1 and Mi A2 and i was waiting for Mi A3. Now i am disappointing again and i dont know what to do. If i buy it it will have better camera but without O.I.S. and without E.I.S. , better battery and microsd slot but all the other is same or worst. They give us AMOLED Screen but with less resolution. They doesnt give us a Dual SIM and MicroSD but i have to choose if i will use 2 S.I.M. cards or 1 S.I.M. card and 1 MicroSD. The C.P.U. processor is almost the same with 660. And cost more than last year model. I want it to have: CPU: SnapDragon 855. RAM: 8GB. SSD: 256GB. That is the must specs that i want to have with an android one smart phone.

  • I believe this phone should be an upgrade to Mi A2 but it seems like it is an downgrade to Mi A2. 🤭 Only reason I am not going to upgrade my Mi A2 with Mi A3 is because of screen resolution and PPI. It's too low tbh. 😌

  • it should be 6gb, 8gb ram

  • Yes u r logical.but for me fhd screen + no notch must have for sharp visual experience.Depth sensor based potrait photography is a joke.need telephoto based potrait for premium quality potrait photograph. This phone just not meet my requirements.go for realme x or redmi k20.

  • All android smartphones now look the same.

  • I waiting for this phone long time but now I never buy it. Full dissapointement.

  • I always read in the comment sections about people having problems with the xiaomi mi a2, but I never had a problem with it. Had one since november of last year until last month (I changed it for a xiaomi mi 9 SE not because there was any issue, but because I wanted to). I never had a problem with it.

  • !attention attention! introduce for us a phone with these descriptions just 208$ except (CC9e=mi a3) instead of just saying its big fail super amoled screen, sd665, 48Mp triple sony imx586, 118wide angel, sd card, 32mp front, 3.5mm jack, fm radio, infrared port, indisplay fingerprint, 4030mah 18w, CGG5 screen, 153.5mm screen size close to compact, ufs 2.1 oh dont forget... 208$ its for starting, the price will down so plz introduce us a phone with these descriptions

  • I am really disappointed.

  • Why purchase this phone when you could have the MI 9 SE with far way better specs/cameras?, waste of time/effort/money

  • What a waste man. Why did they downgrade on the screen resolution? Plus why SD 665? They could have atleast given us a better chip. I'd rather get the MI A2. This is trash. If I need an Android One device am going the Nokia way.

  • Is it full HD display or 720p?

  • Only hd+ No telephoto only depth sensor Lol this will super boring phone for sure haha

  • 720p screen on a $250 in 2019? What the hell is this disappointing garbage. Ticks all the right boxes but the screen kills everything else.

  • MI A3 is globally version of CC9e.... And price is CC9e=170euro And MI A = 260euro.. Seriously???

  • I liked A1 alot but it was not goodenough to replace my LG G4. Was very hopeful for A3, with what they are doing to the A series this brand is dead to me. Samsung A70 is a much better value!

  • for whose don't care for gaming its good, will keep more battery otherwise if you care for Fhd+ screen & don't you want pay the price of cc9, must waiting for REDMI NOTE 8

  • HD+ display after fhd on A1,A2 seriously????????? xiaomi, have you lost your mind? completely Dealbreaker. 😡😡😡&#128545;😡😡😡&#128545;

  • A much more cheaper iPhone XR lol.

  • a3 lite is going to be compapct. Like 139x65

  • I can live with non-future proof SD 665 and 4Gb ram but HD+ on 6" screen is unacceptable low resolution.

  • Lenovo Z6 is the same price but with far better specs.

  • I think rhis will happen

  • Ok

  • 4 GB RAM, 720p, rubbish in these days

  • the choice is up to you

  • this is like Back in a Future :D the company so powerful produces such display for their flagships and even drops NFC for worldwide presentation that's wacky. And the price is overrated. With the same price and more advanced specifications MI 9SE is far better solution.

  • I'm disappointed for Mi A3 because it's only 720p display, downgrade processor sd 665 atleast it should be expected sd712 Processor and it's overpriced this time..... Shame Xiaom....!!!!!!!!!

  • For NFC look at more expensive devices. Resolution is downgraded, but screen is AMOLED. Big battery, great camera, COMPACT DESIGN!! finally, a compact alternative to Redmi Note 7. Android ONE is the best feature though.

  • They will never allow an android one device to be beating their own miui junk devices, that's the history ,they fked up mia1 ,mia2 and now mia3

  • The only drawback display resolution.

  • No NFC, and the display is downgraded from the A1 and A2? Not impressed. They should call this thing the A3 Lite. The A2 is a better deal. Maybe we'll see an A3 Pro?

  • I'm disappointed for Mi A3 cuz it's only HD display and it's overpriced this time 👎

  • no nfc, wtf?

  • the phone is perfect.. that it

  • Specifications below par, didn't beat expectations and overpriced. Apart from that Great design, good battery and wondering what specs would be give to MI a3 lite if there's gonna be one

  • I was waiting ages for the android one phone and now I'm just disappointed with the specs.. was hoping it would be based on Mi 9T. 720p screen that's really below standards.

  • Who would want to buy that phone which is clearly worse than the Mi A2? The A2 is providing a 6gb version and a better screen resolution. I am a fan of the Android One branch but that phone no matter how cheap (and this one won't come cheap) is an absolute deal breaker. I have always wondered why are the successors of a perfectly fine class of technology worse and more expensive. If you want to kill the A2 class why making the effort to produce an A3?

  • this line will eat the market like a [swiss knife] i love it

  • The phone is dead without the NFC

  • not compact

  • Bad value for money . HD+ display at 249€ wtff?! I would rather buy realme 3 pro

  • A budget flagship phone. It's gochha a 48MP AI shooter and a 32MP front shooter(probably the best in the world).

  • Instead the tripple camera it should have benn a FHD display, and nfc. for that money there are alternatives with all these included.

  • The Mi A3 is almost as same as the yesteryear's A2. Why? Ithas some upgrades like the OLED screen, in-display fingerprint reader and the 48MP camera along with the 3.5mm headphone jack. But, downgrade is the 720p screen, which is seriously low considering the price point of €250 and €280. This is an OK smartphone by me.

  • Seems like a promising phone. I love the dimensions and sleek build...

  • Xiaomi did not really bet on an Android One Smartphone. Mi A3 would be worthy of a super amoled panel Full HD +, NFC, 7xx or 8xx Snapdragon and why not wireless charging? There should be an entry-level, intermediate, and top-of-the-range model with Android One. Nokia is still the best at offering this kind of product. I still continue with my Nokia 8 Sirocco.

  • There were so many leaks about the processor: Snapdragon 710 or 730. Card slot, etc Why didn't Xiaomi step forward and tell people that this won't happen. It's a huge disappointment right now. PS: that moment when your selfie camera records in 1080, but your display can only show 720.

  • As what being comment by GSM Arena “it’s not we are hoping”, Mi A3 is an underwhelming specs, it’s sibling Mi 9T has shadowed Mi A3 in terms of specs, design and price offer. Poor Mi A3, I will skip for the next Mi A4 (P.S: Owner of Mi A2)

  • everything below 300 ppi is simply unusable these days especially for 250 usd

  • Another phone, another copy from Huawei's exterior...

  • Unfortunately, it was not as we expected in terms of quality of internal equipment

  • Problem of the price very expensive in 250euro we have need to bring in 170only

  • Battery won't be much of a deal with this device considering that this is only a 720+ display. Then battery optimization from Stock Android would be better and won't cause major issues like the first Mi A.
