Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 - User Reviews

  • Follow the guide on the below link.

  • Hi friends I've too much request to you friends I've mi tab 2 . But it's have window 10 version now. So I want to change Android please friend help me

  • you need better charge

  • Hey guys, any of you experiencing that MiPad 2 running Win10 won't charge while it's on? My MiPad 2 would charge while it's turned off, but when it's on, it stopped charging. Any ideas or solution about this issue? Thanks beforehand

  • Do you see any dead/lazy pixels on your xioami device? Is it ok?I have one small dot on my mi pad 2 and 1 on my note 4,

  • coolnphone

  • There is not global version for this device

  • No

  • Does it run MT4 desktop with Experts Advisor and Custom Indicators and Strategy Tester well? I was wondering is the 2GB RAM good enough for the above purpose. Thanks.

  • Did RJ45 working in this devise ??

  • Hi, can you please share the link to the buyer who sold the tablet with the Global version? Thank you!

  • Is Mi pad 2 don't have vibration for notification????

  • Although I was initially put off by the lack of microsd card slot to expand the 64GB memory, I am still very happy with the purchase of the Mipad 2 Windows 10 only (no Android). It is the smallest and lightest Windows tablet with good performance I have owned so far. Z8500 is definitely better than the Z8300 in performance and eg. Z3735 in graphics. It seems to run smoother than the Asus T100HA which has the same Z8500 processor, but far smaller and feather-light! The screen is gorgeous. I reduce the resolution to 1280 x 960 and still get good screen quality. This may also help battery life because the GPU does not have to work as hard. BTW, I updated Widows 10 Home and the Intel HD Graphics (to 20.19.15.4501) drivers immediately. So far none of the problems users reported in the MIUI forum. The tablet is definitely running cooler with the new graphics driver. Battery life also exceeds expectation: I use this mostly for internet video, email, FB, Word. I consistently get 6 hours web surfing (6.5 hours or more streaming video). Now the peeves: (1) only 2GB RAM - usually no problem with single task, but occasionally Chrome (heavy RAM user) slows down after long surfing. (2) No MICROSD card slot. (3) USB-C port only gives USB 2 speed NOT USB 3 speed. I had no problem using USB-C to USB 3 adapter cables - keyboard, mouse, flash drive, external HDD (SSD and mechanical drives), DVD ROM drive all work. NOTE using external mechanical drive and optical drive use A LOT OF battery, therefore buy a USB-C hub with type C charging passthrough (I am waiting for mine to come in the mail).

  • Loadeddiapers -- l like the name -- has commented that the MIUI (7.2.1.0.0) installed on my MiPad-2 (Android version) is a "modified version". This correct, all Global MIUI's are modified versions of the Xiaomi's official Chinese MIUI. Loadeddiapers has also stated that there have been problems associated with these modified Global MIUI. This also true. The earlier versions of the MiPad-2's modified Global MIUI's had problems with the YouTube app crashing and the tablet failing to power-up (i.e. black screen issue). The MIUI (7.2.1.0.0) installed upon my MiPad-2, which was purchased from an AliExpress seller in Nov. of 2016, works perfectly. I have not encountered any problems whatsoever. I installed the Google Now Launcher over the MiPad-2's default UI and it has integrated perfectly. I also own the highly regarded Nexus7 (2013) Android tablet, which has Android 6.0.1 (aka Marshmallow) installed. The Nexus7 (2013) with the Marshmallow OS, and a 7-inch screen, is a fantastic Android tablet which is an absolute pleasure to use. But the MiPad 2, with its modified Global MIUI (7.2.1.0.0), is a slightly superior device (i.e larger screener, superior audio, superior game play). The MiPad-2's slightly larger 8-inch screen is a tremendous plus when browsing the internet.

  • Your current MIUI is not Official MIUI. Official MIUI always only have 4 digits version (X.X.X.X). All X.X.X.X.X just like yours is a tampered version of MIUI (usually based on China Official ROM with additional Playstore and Multilanguage). China Official Version always not including Playstore and only has 2 language available (chinese and english). Global version has Playstore and Multilanguage. For Mi devices only sold in China (Thus no Official Global version) it is common the seller/distributor installed this type of tampered ROM (you usually will have ads and other bugs/not optimal performance if compared with official ROM).

  • Also the this mi pad 2 doesnt have global version miui. Its only have developer version and china version. As the information due to xiaomi does not release this device to other countries yet.

  • This tablet isnt an gaming tablet... Its work perfect for only surfing youtube, chrome, or reading ebook. When it goes to gaming, the performance drop. It is because the miui itself. For the google apps, the mi pad 2 is support the google apps. You can just install the google apps with the apk. Can just find google installer for xiaomi devices. Also have to make sure the google apps is based x86_64.. Other version is not working in this tablet since it is intel chipset. The playstore error is also cause by the version of the google installed. Who ever bought this tablet, if you want gaming experience ill recommend you to flash the miru rom, which you can find it from the miui forum english version. This rom is amazing. I mi pad 2 able to play a lot of high graphical game now.

  • I had my mi pad 2 since last month and i've been playing online games everyday for 4 1/2hrs-5hrs straight (upto 15% battery) with HD graphics, music and background effects half volume.. :)

  • Lola asked: "How long batery life went play online game." I don't use my MiPad 2 to play games for extended periods, but I can tell you that the battery will last about 6 hours when watching HD 1080p video (i.e. movies and TV shows). I assume the battery life for online game play would be about the same -- depending upon how graphically demanding the game is. If that's long enough, buy yourself a 20,000mAh power bank (i.e. made by Xiaomi or Anker) and you'll have more than enough juice to last an entire day.

  • How long batery life went play online game..

  • I just did a Google search and discover that the MIUI 8.1.3.0 was released in the past 1-2 months. All "official" versions of Xiaomi's MIUI's are Chinese based, which excludes Google Play. I understand that there's a Global version of the MIUI 8.1.3.0 available for download that includes Google Play. Personally, I haven't bothered to update my Mi Pad 2 from its current OS (MIUI 7.2.1.0.0) since it's working perfectly.

  • I'm getting the information from my tablet. The only available store there is Mi Store that has all the applications in Chinese. Are you using the latest only official ROM 8.1.3.0 ?

  • The MiPad 2 (Android version) I purchased from AliExpress had the Global MIUI (Global 7.2.1.0.0 LACCNDA, Android Version 5.1 LMY47I) pre-installed. I've had no problems downloading and installing apps, including YouTube and the Google Now Launcher, from the Google Play Store. There were reports of the YouTube app crashing when installed on earlier versions of the Global MIUI, but I have not encountered this problem with the Global MIUI installed upon my MiPad 2. I've had for well a month now and it's continues to operate without any problems or glitches whatsoever.

  • The play store is available, not sure where you are getting your information. It is an android tablet, I've used Xiaomi phones for the past 3 years.

  • Do not buy this device unless you are ok to live without Google apps. Even Google Play Store is not installed in the Chinese version. The device is sold only in China so if you need any support with it the only way to get help is to speak Chinese.

  • no gps? insane..

  • Is this global version?or can i get global for this. I wanna go

  • If you install an app such CPU-Z, it will list all the specs of your MiPad-2 and confirm that it has 1910 MB -- virtually 2GB -- of RAM installed. You're probably confusing "available RAM" with total RAM. Any time you're using a tablet, a large portion of the installed is going to be used and is therefore unavailable.

  • Although I encountered the infamous "black screen" (i.e. failure to power-up) problem with the Xiaomi MiPad-2 (Windows 10 version) I purchased from AliExpress, I decided to take a chance and purchase the Android version of this tablet. I've been using the Xiaomi MiPad-2 (Android version 5.1 LMY47I, MIUI Global 7.2.1.0.0) daily for over three-weeks now and haven't encountered any problems (i.e. failure to power-up, YouTube app crashing). As an owner/user of the highly regarded Google Nexus 7 (2013), I find the slightly larger 8-inch screen of the MiPad-2 to be superior when it comes to browsing the Internet. Although Xiaomi's MIUI user interface works well, I opted to replace it with the Google Now Launcher. The Google Now Launcher has integrated perfectly with the MiPad-2 and allows for better Google voice-command functionality. I use this tablet daily to access my Google email account, social media apps, and view downloaded 1080p movies and TV shows. For the preceding uses, the MiPad-2 has performed superbly. However, from what I've read online, if you're interested in playing games -- particularly ones that are graphically demanding -- the 8-inch Apple iPad mini would be a better option.

  • I have the 64 gb rom (android) and realized that its 2 gb ram is actually 1 gb. Does anyone have this problem? Does anyone have a solution?

  • why ? did u know the performance quality from x5-z8500 ? that SoC is used in many 2-in-1 laptops, many netbook, and many tablet. but that not mean this is the best SoC at this range, so, i think that a bad SoC.

  • Intel? Pffffttttttttt!!!!

  • It's a good device.. Display is great. It's slightly poor then my so mini display brightness. I think super ambled does that trick. OTG works fine with Fat32 pen drive. Battery last 7 hours of continous use with everything on.

  • Compare it to iPad Mini 2 that does not have cellular and sd card slot with massive price.

  • Unfortunately Xiaomi fails to take advantage of the decent cpu/gpu within this device. The MIUI version of Android is clunky and bloated which detracts from smooth operation of the device. In addition, the lack of image stabilization makes use of the 8MP/5MP cams precarious at best. If Xiaomi would scrap their pseudo-iOS paradigm and create a lean, very upgradable version of Android they could produce some sweet devices (provided they also increase by several iterations, their mfg quality.) They offer very good price points with decent HW specs but I fear that's due to a serious lack of test engineering, overall quality of all hardware parts and some failures in their service/repair system. Would like to be able to recommend their phones and tablets but I've had 2 failures in the past year along with one serious failure by their repair system. Am a big fan of their power banks and the Piston Series of ear buds. Just can't say the same of their "sort of" Android devices.

  • With the decline in tablet sales, I doubt that you'll be seeing Xiaomi release a version of the MiPad with a larger screen. A 9.7 inch MiPad running Windows would be great -- as long a it worked properly.

  • the quality is high, when will mi pad 3 be announced. I want 9.7inches or 10 inches+

  • I purchased this MiPad 2 (Windows 10 version) from a AliExpress seller called Shenzhen Pophong Store. There are feedback comments from 62 buyers of the MiPad 2. Of these 62 buyers, only one states that the MiPad 2 received was defective. So it appears as though this "black screen issue" isn't as widespread as the articles on the internet suggest.

  • Visa has credited my card and is processing the chargeback to AliExpress' merchant account. To be fair and transparent, I've contacted the AliExpress seller and advised them that Visa has approved the chargeback. Once again, I've offered to return the defective MiPad 2 -- if and only if -- they provide me with a prepaid return shipping label that includes tracking. AliExpress' merchant should be debited in about a week. We'll see how they react when faced with the reality of losing $300.00 Canadian.

  • Great News !! So they have agreed to pay for the shipping of the defective item or they have simply issued the charge back amount keeping the defective item with yourself ?

  • Update: Purchase of Defective MiPad 2 (Windows 10 version) from AliExpress Visa has authorized the chargeback. Expect it to be within a couple of business days. What started out as being a terrific little 7.9 inch Windows 10 tablet quickly turned into the 7.9 inch tablet from hell. Greatly disappointed! There's a lot like about the MiPad 2 tablet. But any electronic device that can't be relied upon is only good for recycling (i.e. the trash can). What's I've been reading online, the problem I've encountered is extremely common. Does it effect 50 percent of the MiPad 2's Android and Windows tablets? Does it effect 75 percent of MiPad 2's tablets? Or does it effect 100 percent of the MiPad 2's tablets?

  • I am planning to return this Chinese toy once it is delivered to me. Thanks for the awesome stuff !! Keep me posted.

  • Here's a link to VISA's Chargeback Management Guidelines for VISA Merchants. Check out what this document states under Reason Code 53 - Not as Described or Defective Merchandise. The online merchant is responsible for paying for the return of defective or not as described merchandise. The return policies or practices of the seller are irrelevant! VISA's Chargement Guidelines take precedence. Now if the AliExpress refuses to pay for the cost of returning this item this China, which will likely be the case since shipping will cost over $100.00, then I will email VISA directly and request a chargeback. I have done this several times before, so I have the required Chargeback Request Form. What VISA will ask is photo evidence that the item is defective, which I have, and email evidence that the seller has refused to pay for the return of the defective item -- which I should have shortly. Like everything else in life, it's simple, once you know how!

  • But how will you get refund if the seal of the product is opened now? I have ordered the same from AliExpress but I think they don't cancel the order once the seller has shipped the order. I have not received the order till yet but I am emphasising on somehow cancelling the product and getting refund.

  • I've been using a MiPad 2 (Windows 10 version), which I purchased from AliExpress, since Sept. 16. It was -- past tense -- working great until yesterday, when it started to turn on, after being completely shut down, all by itself. I did a factory reset, in the hope of correcting this problem. The factory reset fully completed. During the process of reinstalling my software I hit restart. The MiPad 2 shutdown, but now won't boot back up. The only thing working on it right now is the LED battery charging indicator. Otherwise, it appears to be completely bricked. Since I made this purchase using a credit card, I should be able to get a refund. Needless to say, I'm now extremely disappointed with the MiPad 2!!!!

  • I bought a Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 tablet through GearBest website last month. I couldn't get it to work in US. Does anyone know Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 compatible in US? I

  • My MiPad 2 (Windows 10 version) recently updated to Windows 10 version 1607 (build 14393.187). It continues to operate without any problems whatsoever. There have been many complaints about the Windows update function failing in devices using Win8.1 and Win10. I'm actually experiencing this very problem right now with my AsusT100TA, running Win.8.1. Fortunately, I have not encountered any problems with Windows update and the MiPad 2. Note: I can't imagine using the MiPad 2 (Windows 10 version) without a Bluetooth keyboard. I guess this explains why I've yet encounter anyone using a Windows phone!

  • Although I'm extremely pleased with the performance of my Windows 10 version of the MiPad 2, I have to admit that I'm not too keen on Xiaomi's use of a custom interface for its Android version of this device. Anyone who's used a Nexus tablet after using one made by Samsung can attest to the pleasure of interacting with a clean version of Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It's unfortunate that the MiPad 2 is only available to the North American market via online ordering. I'd like to get my hands on the Android version of the MiPad 2 to see first-hand how Xiaomi's custom user interface performs.

  • You don't actually own a MiPad 2, do you? Have you even seen an actual MiPad 2? As an actual owner of a MiPad 2, I can state that your criticisms have no basis in fact.

  • The screen respond is terrible and it do not work half of the time. So, buy a Samsung or Apple instead. The mi pad cheap but it is waist of money an time any way. Jorgen

  • Received a MiPad 2, running Windows 10 (Build 1511) a few days ago. The build quality and finish of the MiPad 2 is superb. According to the online reviews I've read, it uses the same retina display IPS panel, manufactured by Sharp, as the iPad mini. It booted up and connected to my Wifi network without a problem. Upon signing into Windows 10 I noticed that I was not able to access the Window desktop -- the screen that displays the Recycle Bin and other short-cuts. After a bit of fiddling I realized that this overlay screen was associated with MiPad 2 being in tablet mode. I turned off tablet mode by going to Setting – System – and moving the Tablet Mode toggle to the off position. Once the tablet mode had been turned off, I had access to a 7.9 inch Windows desktop. Woo-hoo!!! I connected a Logitech M535 Bluetooth mouse and a Logitech K810 Bluetooth keyboard to it. The Bluetooth connection with both devices has been rock solid. With a mouse and a keyboard, the MiPad 2 is essentially an ultra-compact 7.9” Windows 10 notebook. I attached the following peripheral devices, using an OTG USC-C adapter, to see if there were any issues: 1) A Canon Lide220 portable scanner; 2) A Samsung Ultra-Thin DVD-Writer; 3) A 2TB WD 3.5 inch Passport external drive; 4) RJ45 Ethernet Adapter & USB 3-Port Hub; 5) Various USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 flash drives (i.e. Patriot Rage, SanDisk Extreme, Eaget U66, Kingston DT-SE9); As one would hope, all of the preceding peripheral devices worked perfectly with the MiPad 2. I installed uTorrent on the MiPad2 and tried downloading a movie. The MiPad2 was able to complete the file download at a speed consistent with my desktop computer. I hardwired the MiPad 2 directly to my home network using an Ethernet adapter and an RJ45 cable. The MiPad 2 immediately recognized the hardwire connection and switched from Wifi to the hardwire connection. In installed the following pieces of software upon the MiPad 2: 1) Norton AntiVirus; 2) MalwareBytes; 3) Full version of Microsoft Office; 4) iTunes (64-Bit); 5) uTorrent; 6) AnyBurn burning software; I encountered no problems running any of the preceding software. To sum up, the MiPad2 performed perfectly with every peripheral device it was connected to and with every piece of software I installed upon it. Being only 6.9mm thick and having an aluminum case, the MiPad 2 is a bit slippery to hold. So I would recommend purchasing a silicone case. Sikai sells a silicone case, which is available on AliExpress and eBay, that’s designed specifically for the MiPad 2. The Sikai case fits the MiPad 2 like a glove. Since the silicone used in this Sikai case is only about 1.5mm thick, it adds protection without adding bulk. The Sikai case also has a finely textured finish, which makes the MiPad 2 much easier to hold. I highly recommend this accessory. If you’re interested in a silicone case for the MiPad 2 that provides greater drop protection, search AliExpress or eBay using the terms “rugged” and/or “heavy duty”. There are dual-layer silicone cases available for the MiPad 2 also that have a build-in kickstand. I do have the following quibbles with the MiPad 2: 1) It does not have a Micro SD card slot; 2) It does not support connection to an external monitor; 3) It does not have international warranty coverage. So if you encounter a problem (i.e. battery or screen) with your MiPad 2 a month or so down the road, you’re screwed; All things considered, if you’re in the market for an extremely compact and capable Windows device, then you should give serious consideration to the MiPad 2. Note: If you're interested in a true "tablet" device that you intend to use primarily for games or viewing online media, an Android device or Apple iPad would better fill your needs. Windows is a terrific desktop/laptop/notebook OS, but its available apps are limited in comparison to what's available through Android/Google and Apple.

  • Great look but not worth it miui7 no update for 8 Google play issues and lot of chinese bloatwares Specs are more impressive on the paper

  • whr r u bght from mi pad2 ???

  • I bought one about a month ago and it is great, I have only had ipads and other android tablets before, and the performance of the mipad 2 is great compared to these. I reflashed it to dual boot to android and Windows 10. Again this was fairly easy and works very well on both OS's. Right now I'm trying to decide if I should just focus on one OS and reflash again or just leave it as it. I am not sure which OS to choose... Both work really well with no real differences, just Windows seems more "formal"...

  • The laggines caused by the poor intel processor, that's not suitable for android at all, not the 2GB memory.... just don't run android with a quad core atom, just don't

  • Hi Please help me on WIFI signal on MI PAD 2 recently i purchased MI pad 2 The WIFI signal is very poor for you tube videos it is buffering after every 2 seconds. for other phones the wifi signal is very strong and videos is playing instantly.

  • not worth it,save ur money and buy a real tablet instead.overheat, lag, too slow for a 2gb ram.i wonder if xiaomi is being honest when stating the specification.

  • But it's cheap. It depends what do you need it for.

  • I don't see much of used one's to buy online. Would it be that the people are actually satisfied with the tablet? Have you changed to another tablet? Are you satisfied now? Please update your xiaomi mi pad 2 experience, because I still don't see why not to buy it. Thanx!

  • how to start a wi-fi in Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot.

  • Quite dissapointed. Lag playing high end games. Even clumsy ninja sometimes lag. Wifi sometimes hard to connect. Sound n battery is ok.

  • Hi, everyone. Can I order an extra battery cover? Like different color or so? Thank you very much.

  • Check your router.

  • The specs for this tablet are good and build quality is great. However I could not be more disappointed. The tablet often fails to start up and forcing a restart can be problematic even when the battery is full. It runs exceedingly slowly also.

  • This tablet has a problem worldwide with recharging issues, no one is able to answer why, even the manufacturer, keep awy from it.

  • I have issue with wifi connection i cant find the ssid or any available network

  • Does this support otg in windows version? can both android & windows be installed simultaneously? please help by answering to this. thanks in advance.

  • Really?

  • No SIM, no GPS??? Totally useless device.

  • just install the codec mentioned in the mx player settings from forum-xda.developers. if you dont know which codec you then its install the aio pack and then restart mx player it will support all type of videos

  • Yes u can change

  • Can we run MS Access on Mi Pad2 windows?

  • Does Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 support stylus pen?

  • This is what Hugo Barra said on July 1 2016. "You probably don't need a tablet in the first place and we never got the MiPad 2 to India because it's not a cellular product. That's the difference between China and India wherein the former country delves a lot into Wifi enabled tablets while the latter needs 3G enabled tablets and we didn't think it's logical to make one version of Mi Pad just for India. By the time Mi Pad 2 was getting launched, we had already made a decision that we are going to wait and launch Mi Max instead. The Mi Max does address some of the utility demand that you would satisfy with the Mi Pad but since it's a phone, we thought it was much more of an interesting move." Source:

  • does mi pad 2 otg compatible?

  • Do Gearbest sell new Mi pad? Or refurbished ones? What will be the default language for Windows? I don't want to start the tablet and see it's all in Chinese!!! Xiaomi somehow thinks this thing will not sell south of the Himalaya mountains. Xiaomi board members need to take a vacation.

  • No, there are two models. Android model with 16/64GB. And the Windows model with only 64GB.

  • Hi everyone, Is the xiaomi pad2 64gb OS can be changed from android to windows 10? or the 64gb only run with windows 10? Thanks

  • Can you tell me from where have you bought MiPad 2 and the city in which you are living because I am also planning to take one. So can you suggest me that from where should I buy

  • First generation mipad is better with nvidia tegra k1.

  • 2 years now since i've bought the first mi pad, guess what, it's still on android 4.4.4 and xiaomi won't release the kernel source so devs can't make proper custom roms! only unofficial cm11 ports but still based on android 4.4.4. so think twice before you buy this mi pad 2 pice of shit because mi pad will do the same to this one. proof:

  • No cellular connectivity!!! what a joke!!!

  • if windows use vlc if android also try vlc

  • if windows use vlc if android also try vlc

  • Try change the video decoder from HW to SW.

  • Have you tried to change the video decoder in the MX Player setting from HW to SW?

  • Anyone can share how to play video rmvb file on this tablet? I tried MX player but it didn't work :(

  • Quick review for the Mi Pad 2 64Gb running Windows 10: switched to mi pad 2 from another windows pc tablet, the Microsoft surface pro 2, my experience has been great so far. Very premium build, beautiful screen, slim and very light-weight. The battery's holding great for itself, mine always last for more than a day with regular using like checking facebook, reading books, youtubing and watching movies (brightness at 75% most the time). The tablet works fairly smooth with windows 10, even it has just 2Gb of ram; but don't expect about multi-tasking like crazy. Yes, people tested and confirmed that you can play some games like LoL, CS:GO... on it, but due to its size, I do not recommend use this tablet mainly for gaming.

  • It's running full windows 10, so basically whatever you can do with a desktop/laptop, you can do with it. But the machine isn't so powerful, so some software may run slower than usual.

  • This mi pad 2 is absolutely disappointed, slow response and hang and always black screen. It always prompt temperature too hot even i only access normal apps. There are always ads come out that interrupt the flow of using it. Does anyone has this experience? Is it normal?

  • Can I install window software on this window tablet?

  • was planning 2 buy 1, but no GPS, so I can't use HERE MAPS, opting for something else...

  • Agreed 100℅, bought mipad gen 1 with lots of excitement but was disgusted by the software experiwnce. After searching a lot found an unofficial cm11 ROM. Hats-off to the developer for developing such a stable ROM even without source code. Now installed root booster app from play store and everything is absolutely fine. Initially there were some bugs but reset the tab and everything fine ever since. Had quite a number of devices in the past but this is the first device that forced me to take the risk and learn how to root i.

  • 64gb android version of this tablet is available. The pink color also (for all variants). I just bought it for replacing my old samsung tab 7.7. The performance is awsome, no bloatware. Chrome and youtube are not pre installed on this pad. There is no vibrating alert at this tab, but it doesnt matter.

  • will the 64 gb version will have miui and android operating system? or its custom rom? when will this be available in India? is it safe to buy from aliexpress china?

  • will there be version with lte?

  • Hi! I'm going to buy windows 10 version. No gaming (maybe something light) only pdf reading and some windows program (for me x5 z8500 is ok). I am more interest in battery life. How is user experience? Is stable and responsive? How is battery life and battery drain in standby? Are you happy with this device? Thanks

  • It is used in now and also in future. i hope it is wonderful tab. "{OOH"}

  • why xiaomi delaying launch of pad 2 in india when it has launched in other parts of the world

  • Does this have gorilla glass or dragon tail?

  • Go for Mi Pad 1st gen it's really good for gaming and it is packed with performance for all games in play store...

  • Im a gamer.. .And i play games like clash of clans.. .boom beach etc etc.. .can neone tell me will it be gud for me to buy this one??

  • Without memory card slot ,gps tablet is useless.xiaomi shoupd add this feature before launching in India..I waiting to buy it.

  • And no GPS.. That's ridiculous.

  • nice one

  • Card Slot: No?!!!

  • Absolutely correct

  • ohh super mobile

  • I bought from geekbuying also on around late december 2015. After researching around, it seems like that Xiaomi didn't produce enough quantity to fulfill the demand. The case is the same on any other shops including gearbest. I even had to have a private agreement to have mine shipped as soon as possible by paying $12, which is a 50% of some extra payment they need to make. Whatever, it's trackable on DHL website today finally :)

  • I also bought the tablet from gearbest in december, and finally yesterday i got the notification that it has been sent. hope yours is on the way too

  • @Jacky-C Because Intel Atom x8500 can run Windows in addition to Android. There are of course much better CPUs than these Atoms but they are ARM processors = no Windows and .exe files, only Android.

  • Mi Pad 2 is using the new generation of USB port named as USB Type-C.

  • the Mipad is use Nvidia GPU and also have card slot, why Mipad 2 is use Atom and Intel GPU ?? i things Mipad is better then Mipad 2 .......

  • If you like thick things.. which I think you must like, U will find ur pad better. lol

  • MI pad has 6700 mah battery and card slot how MI pad 2 is better than MI pad

  • i think mi pad is still better than this mi pad 2.. i can play any games with my mi pad.. it also run perfectly on NBA2k16.. im a huge gamer.. im still using my mi pad and still no prob with the battery.. i dont know why mi pad has better battery than this mi pad 2, and no sd slot?.. why?.. thus intel atom processor cant handle such memory? just wondering..

  • I bought the Mi Pad 2 with Windows 10 and found that no existing (that I can find) cables can be used to allow the device to charge and communicate with a usb device. I have tried 3 different cables (splitters) that have worked on different devices with no success. I would sure love to know if anyone else has had any success.

  • You should report this to Xiaomi

  • Same problem here, It always get hang. I am not able to use any application. Even i didn't use for day the battery will be drain out. I am really disappointed from Mi Pad 2.

  • Yes. Why not.

  • How could it be slower, that Mi Pad? Atoms are much faster, than Tegra.

  • Does anyone knows whether xiaomi mi pad 2 windows version can install external apps or programs via usb otg and function it well?

  • I brought Mi Pad 2 last week . I am disappointment.I cant slide to unlock or press power button to wake up the screen after screen lock.black screen always.......garbxxe.......

  • The Atom X5 Z8500 Gen8 GPU is around 25% weaker than the first Mi Pad model, so this move is interesting to say the least that Xiaomi has downgraded performance in order to gain Windows support for the tablet. The build uses the same 2048 x 1536 Retina screen, but this time, the rear housing is metal instead of plastic and 1mm slimmer. techtablet.com

  • You buy it?!! really? it is not released yet!! you buy HANGROID OS on mi pad 1 and it is HANGROID. but mi PAD 2 is With Windows 10 the best OS ever!

  • I brought Mi Pad 2 last month. I am disappointment while using. Often it gets hang. Not able to use Facebook app. It is not user friendly like samsung and iPad.

  • No Card Port, No HDMI Port, No USB 3.0 Port = No Xiaomi

  • I am not able to find stylus for android one hope they provide in Mi pad 2

  • no card slot, no Xiaomi...

  • 1299 rmb is decent pricing for windows 10 tablet, considering 64gb space and z8500 (not z8300, so this better be dual-channel) but then 2gb ram? no fingerprint sensor? no card slot? all this is a big no-no for future buyers.

  • The lack of sd card slot is pretty bad for a tablet. I use my venue 8 pro's for taking the videos off my go pro's mSD car when traveling. While i can do it without the card slot, its a bit more of a pain to do so.

  • Card slot No .. oh noo

  • Good standard features, dissappointed about the phone not having a card slot though.

  • Hey but think about it, if you need more room for your apps or your programs on your windows installation you just connect an external drive in the usb port type C that comes with the tablet the speeds with usb C ports are amazing, I dont know but I will go for one of this tablets >D

  • Only 64gb and no SD card slot? Not worth it. Installing Windows and Android will severely decrease the amount of available storage and limit the usefulness of this tablet.

  • everything is gud just needed cellular data option .. and loads of custom rom :p

  • think twice about ordering from gearbest, i ordered the mi pad 2 tablet as a pre-sale, with the promise that it would be shipped 5-10 days following the end of the pre sale (which ended on the 20 December 2015), still waiting for my tablet, gearbest keep on telling me that it is on back order and will have to wait another 10-15 days, in the meantime they are still taking orders as a pre-sales on the premise that they will dispatch as soon as the pre-sale ends - i can only think of one word - deception. they offer a refund - but hears the catch - its a refund into their wallet not back into your bank account.

  • This tablet is actually meant to be like a real laptop. It is not supposed to have sim card slot or sd slot. Though, you need an adapter to connect OTG external storage since it is using USB Type C.

  • Waiting for SIM Card supported, High powered battery MI PAD ......

  • waiting to release new product same form but enhanced specs then, should have cellular connectivity much better and longer battery life hoping soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • No Card Slot?????? Disappointed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Surf the net?

  • Yes.. If they release with SIM at least for browse it will be click.

  • A-GPS would have made this tablet great.

  • 85k+ on antutu according to various sources up to 3.98 GFLOPS (multi-core I believe, but i could be wrong)

  • Gpu gflops ; 115.2

  • anyone know??antutu score for this device. what about GPU?? how many GFLOPS???

  • This tanker sounds really nice. But no expansion card slot! Eh probably won't get it

  • No microSD card, no SIM, no GPS, no FM radio, it's a joke.

  • try merimobiles.com or gearbest.com, they have free international delivery. with interesting reward schemes. quite reliable.

  • Nowhere I can find 64GB edition reseller, must wait longer... this would be a perfect gaming device

  • does it support all games

  • perfect device wit sim card

  • please give cellular connectivity......

  • Hope that the software won't be a terrible unoptimised mess, like it was on MiPad 1. My old Acer A1-810 felt zippier, and had better multitasking than MiPad 1. Go figure..

  • Where is card slot

  • again no cellular connectivity.....please provide cellular connection ......

  • Again no cellular connectivity . . . i was hoping that in next mi pad version there must be sim connectivity available . . . but still none . so sad . . . i wanted to buy this tablet but because of only the reason of no sim slot . i not took it .

  • will it support microsoft continuum (in windows version) so that i can connect it to TV

  • there is! pls read carefully!

  • There are no micro Slot. plz fix that

  • Would love to have the option tho.

  • Yeah, same here. One year with hundreds of crap updates. they just messing on their miui launcher only, they no more developing anything. I just remove the 2nd partition to 1.2GB and switch to google now launcher, now the heating issue is gone. their system launcher is totally a crap.

  • Don't buy this crap. Read Xiaomi forum that every owners is sad about their products. I suggest you get Asus ZenPad S 8.0 Z580CA. is better than mipad 2. OTA are good.

  • The version that they are currently selling in China has no Card slot.

  • Can anyone confirm does it have micro SD card or not?

  • Bought Mi Pad 1 year ago. Totally waste of money. MIUI lags likes hell. Great hardware but poor integration almost kill the device. They haven't unlocked kernel source yet. No custom ROM can be ported. They release MIUI 7 which is based on android 4.4.4 . Ridiculous. Not going to pay a single penny on Xiaomi.

  • There is Win 10 option

  • Intel HD Graphic, you mean like in those cheap laptops?

  • can this tab get a root permission?

  • is not use..no sim....

  • No SIM is not convenient

  • do not go for this piece of shit.i have a mipad and xiaomi is so usless with its bug ridden MIUI. they wont allow custom rom as well. the product hangs when doing simple stuff like surfing on the net. it became a pain more than a good piece of product. only thing good about it is the screen. go buy some other product from a previous frustrated mipad user. also no sim card is foolish.

  • diff is in the processor and ram man..there is a compare buttone over there

  • potential buyers read this first: do not buy this piece of sh!t because xiaomi will never release it's source code! just like what they did to the first mi pad! no source code means no good custom roms will be developed for the device, meaning you'll have to stick with their crappy miui sh!t which is a memory hog, bug ridden even after a thousand updates, and really slow!

  • Hello, what is the different between mipad 1 and 2. Consider the even low price, is not mi pad 1 more reasonable to grab? I am confused to choose from one of them. Please help

  • Is 32gb version also coming or just 16_64?

  • Hey this device is going to be awesome. But if sim slot and fingerprint are also added then it will be fantastic. :)

  • You can always create a wifi hotspot anywhere with something, even a cheap micromax android can do that! btw even with sim slot how much beneficial would it be I mean there are no good data packs that could satisfy this data hungry tab. Even if you are not going to data by using sim, then what voice calling, what where's your phone? Broken?

  • The Mipad 1 had a great GPU, nvidia Tegra K1. I think the Intel HD graphics is not that good, if its built the same way as the Pc versions. Also no GPS, no Sim is kinda dissapointing.

  • Can it run .exe file ???????? Please reply me.

  • good decision not including the sim slot. cellular services are one of the biggest toll on battery and also it helps in keeping the prices low. however they should have included the GPS. with offline support increasing (google/ here), it could have been a good navigation tool. otherwise a very good offering IMHO. with windows 10 and a good keyboard, it can easily become a laptop/ desktop alternate for light office work and multimedia

  • Sim card - not necessary for using internet. Use wifi (if travelling then give hotspot from mobile) Good config, a cellular network integration would have increased the price of this device. (good call in avoiding it)

  • I agree

  • Waiting :(

  • It's not at all a problem if no sim card slot. Get a wifi dongle, than you are all set to go. It should have GPS support.

  • No SIM card, No SD Card, No GPS??????????????????

  • If dual system... That will be best..

  • The only thing I don't like about this device is that it lack of sim slot.

  • Waiting for it ...

  • No point to buy this Tablet if it does not have sim support. Very much essential in country like India where you may not have Wi-Fi access everywhere.

  • The 64gb model has the option to get Windows 10, it doesn't run both

  • not even a single sim,very bad.

  • Is it run dual operating system???? I'm confused about that

  • Highly likely, but it has type c connector so you might need correct cable!

  • I need mi pad with gsm sim card

  • There's no point in including a sim slot in a tablet; as they are not meant for that. As far as internet is considered you can probably use a dongle if it supports OTG.

  • Can't you guys read? Spec says support for up to 128Gb card.

  • Does it support OTG like mipad 1 ?

  • Eagerly waiting for this tab.. The specifications are good and mi can b trusted. But it lacks sim slot. Without sim slot the tab will never be an option for purchase.

  • No sim card?? Useless...

  • if xiaomi is going to launch mi pad 2 in india please make sure that to provide sim slots.otherwise no use of launching in india.

  • gedget has mention it has sim support tablet, kindly confirm it support sim card or not ?

  • Its mi pad 2!

  • wow!!! another apple ipad

  • Looks like a promising tab. RAM could have been 3GB instead of 2GB. Design exactly like ipad and that is disappointing.
