I Still have this phone since 2017, works good but the screen is developing a little yellow line on one side which i see OK for such an old phone, but the audio recordings sound issue is really annoying specially that i am a musician and tend to capture spontaneous song ideas with the phone, with 4A its mostly waw wow wiuw sounds....

I got this phone as a present and I loved it! It's resistant and really pushes through in performance. My only issues were that after a while I started getting no notifications even after updating and factory reset and reupdate. Also the battery started to drain REALLY fast

After MIUI 10 update the phone is actually more smooth to operate. If you find it slow, you need to clean the cache files and remove the heavy games. The lock screen theme only change if you have opted for wallpaper carousel. Opt out to have a stable wallpaper. The battery will drain if you are playing heavy games or browsing 4G for long hours. I think your phone has not got your life worse but maybe because you dont have knowledge on how to solve these minor hacks. If you regret having update, you can do a factory data reset to get the original MIUI ver.9.

After MIUI 10 update the phone is behaving badly, reboots very slowly, the lock screen theme keeps changing by itself, the phone started lagging for the first time in almost 2 years, the battery life got worse... very bad update, i regret having updated the phone UI. Bought this phone on Dec 2016 and is still using this phone. Everything works well but the only problem is the battery performance now~ The battery is very good during the first and half year of using it and now it drains much easier and the battery swole up too~ Probably effect of overcharging it but so far very satisfied of this phone. I bought Redmi 4a on Feb. 2018 from a Dealer. It is working fine. Yesterday when I was checking email on Redmi 4a, suddenly smoke started coming from battery side/back side and it got heated too much. Suddenly explode in my phone. I took it outside of my home and putting some soil on it to cool down, when I checked after some time back cover and back side of mobile melted completely. Mobile was not on charging, it was in my hand and there were approximate 50% battery.

Excellent phone. Have it now for almost 2 years. Battery life is excellent for my use, I also enjoy the dual sim feature as I travel quite a bit. I am happy with the sound quality, the display is good, and the camera is decent. The only negative point I have is the absence of markings for functions like back, home.

Excellent for general usage. Had dropped the phone on hard ground a number of times but still working well. I have used it for more than a year and it is still working smoothly for many functions such as youtube, surfing web, etc. Photography is good but its video is the greatest downfall as background sound cannot be recorded and it has difficulty taking smooth clear video with low light. If you are not into videography, xiaomi redmi 4A is a good and cheap choice.

Yes it does. You will need a pin to unlock the tray, it is on the left side of the phone, u can see a small pin hole to access the tray. in the tray, u can whether use dual sim or a sim and a card.

It is 3 weeks now since I bought this phone, replacing the Samsung Galaxy J1 (2016) and what can I say about that? I really love everything in this phone comparing to the old one, it performs really well (I never have lag or anything like that compared to the J1 when the app I'm using will crush at least one time per day), the battery is very good (3120mAh) comparing to the J1 (2050mAh), it can hold the charge for me for 3 days of moderate use... The screen is also as good as J1 (and moving from 480x800 to 720x 1280 is truly remarkable), not to mention, it's price is the main reason why I had to do this upgrade (it has the same price as J1 that I bought 2 years ago) so it's a good deal for me... I highly recommend this phone for anyone who's looking for good performance, better battery and nice looking screen for a decent price.

My p8 had severe screen cracked syndrome, so I ran into a Game superstore, being rushed, I was convinced that I was informed correctly. The Redmi has 32g internal memory, so it has a 4g ram. Now I never down grade, I play games online, which use mega data, trying to prevent screen freezing I was under the impression, I upgraded. Just to find myself in a turmoil of who made this crap. I have had this phone for 1 year. it is good enough to play games, like pes, coc, mobile legends, etc. But you cant have them in one time because of the storage (until now i use 2 sim cards, so i dont use the second slot for micro SD). Overall this phone is better than other smartphones in the same price.

mine has been very helpful and did just well for a year; for the price i think its perfect. recently worked in a very dusty place and the mouth piece has become very feint. and the proximity sensor i malfunctioning probably dust. I've dropped it twice and only thin cracks on screen (suprisingly) , i expected the worst. resale value could be an issue but otherwise a very good phone... good camera, battery awesome, screen great.. lol maybe i was just lucky good the good one..

I have this phone for 1year, it's fast, and I like it. But, and it's a big but, the camera takes nice pictures but it's a bit blurry. Specially if you want to use it. The phone gets hot quite often. If you sent a voicenote it is very soft. And if you get a message it's very hard to hear.

The service center charged me for just checking the issue and declared it as out of warranty as they found some kind of water mark inside the phone, so they charged me for checking the phone. When asked about repair charges, the representative told me it would cost Rs.6500. Redmi 4a is good phone but there is a problem regarding sim and memory slot.....there is only 2 slot, you can only use 1 sim and one SD card. If u want to use 2 sim..than u have to remove SD card....and I think no one comfortable with only internal storage which is 8.7GB out of 16 GB....and also not comfortable with 1 sim...

Check your update manager, is your software updated. If you are running a outdated software it could be creating the problem.

Strangely enough i seem to like the Redmi 4A more than my previous Redmi 4X (both 2gb/16GB variants), even if the 4X had more features and a "better" processor, the Redmi 4A seems somehow more complete overall, more swift, charges much quicker no lags so far... just wish that the 4A had the 4100Mah battery as well.

Change it to 3G (assuming 4G is the default setting). If still no service, try 2G only. Hi. This phone works very well in my opinion. Combined with a few customization apps, you can get great value out of this phone. It's sound processor is not one of the strongest, and you are not able to browse music info (albums, artist, etc) directly on the car's stereo receiver itself when connected via Bluetooth. Other than that, for what the 32GB version was going for, it is quite a steal. Great value for money in my opinion.

Always prefer to attach pendrive to the otg cable, it's safer than memory card reader with SD card. Many a times the SD card is corrupted or the memory card reader is faulty and we think otg doesn't work with this phone. Beware.

By the loks of the specs how much it will be better then a Nokia 3 ? I am waiting nokia 3 and as I don't understand anything about video cards or processors for phones and tablets. I can get 32GB version of this for 129 euro and well Nokia 3 should be close to it with the price. I like that Nokia 3 have metal edge, but it looks like it will have not that good camera and 470mAh less battery and well weight will be more to I think and that's thanks to the metal body edge and center.

Not sure dudd, but as my experience of using MI phones, if you added any of file that causes problems for phone, it will heat to much. So find that file(in most cases a movie) and delete it.
