I have a glitchy power button too, you can replace the button by turning on Quick ball in settings. By the way, my Redmi Note is well over 3 years old and have had only one major issue (power button doesn't always work).

Alright.. Im using this phone for about 2 years, this phone was broke 2 times.. The first is my phone is bricked caused by installed the wrong rom type... The second is the screen is broke, because i watching too many videos from TechRax :').. Until now... The phone is works finely, i have installed many custom rom in this phone.. Like CM13 (the worsest), Lineage OS and Ressurection Remix OS (such a greatest one).. The minus is this phone gots too outdated by its stock rom.. Still using android 4.4, but at least its not like the older samsung device.. MIUI is helping to bring the android 7.1 feels to the android 4.4 This phone is worth... Also functional until now, i played many new heavy games like PUBG, Arena Of Valor, Warsong, Asphalt 8, NFS No Limits.. Its all runs smoothly with medium graphics setting (except asphalt 8.. I using the maxed out graphics and the fps looks fine).

This handset is totally a hulk in the wide range of MI'S marvel. Using it since 2 and a half years, have faced a great tolerance and ups and downs tho working absolutely finest. The problem is low volume in the loud speaker. Power button not working fine. No android update after 4.4.4 tho it will be solved by miui 9 sooner or later Happy with this device and have no idea on selling it :-)

Your jio is 4g only and when you switch data sim to airtel jio goes automatically to 3g/2g mode where such networks is not available in jio. I too have same problem. Someone suggest me please how can I use 3g data in my secondary sim

This phone is practically awesome. I have been using it since the last 4 yrs and apart from obsolete software and no fingerprint sensor I faced no problem at all. My phone falls off very often but no damage at all. It doesn't heats as hot as other mi phones. But it does have low volume levels and low brightness.

I've been using the Redmi Note since early 2015, and it's been holding up pretty well under regular day-to-day use for me. I have changed off MIUI over to CM12.1 due to preference though. It's a legitimate phone, save for the overheating problems that occur occasionally during really heavy usage. I don't think there are any gimmicks to this, to be honest.

I think you are downloading ur music in sd card thats why its not showing the downloaded music. Once you'llmove it to ur internal storage it will come to your playlist. Hope this will help .

Enable the LTE.in call settings. Other Sims are working as the settings are not on LTE.

Hai Guys, I have updated my Redmi Note 4g on the 22 Aug and after the update what I feel is the User interface is good, little bit similar to a combination of Cynogenmod UI and Marshmallow Version but everything is not upto the mark let me tell you the list of cons that I feel in this update. 1. The major feature of this update the Scrolling Screen Shot, itself is not working especially in the browsers for an example I check it in Opera Mini. 2. Notification bar toggles are not getting changed or becoming shady when we touch them and its not happening regularly and especially it happen when we try to change the brightness level. 3. In almost all the themes except the default the lockscreen left and right shortcuts are not getting applied. 4. In the security app what I feel is miui7 battery manager is better than this updated miui8's battery manager and even the battery life has got reduced in this miui8. 5. I have experienced some lags in the Quick Button and well in the device usage. Some other bugs are there which are manageable so I am not discussing about them, I hope Xiaomi will work on this and soon we will get the another update in order to solve this. Rather then this if somebody ask my opinion, I suggest them to have a taste of miui8. As we all are aware about one thing about Xioami that this gaint gives us better customisation User Interface. So check it out.

I had purchased a Redmi Note 4G through Flipcart. It has a problem that whenever if you go to contact list, it will show only name and not the contact no. If I want to see the contact no to call, I will have to reboot the phone. After 2 or 3 trial, I get the contact no (from the saved list) and then only I can make a call. Also fifty percent times, I find a call cut in between. Through call centre, I was suggested to remove catch data in the App Contact and dialer. Situation is this I have to do this every 10 minutes, to make a call. Any solution from manufacturer of this mobile.

I'd so many expectations when i bought this phone and was successful in satisfying me. As days passed by, i've started to face heating problem followed by rebooting in every hour. One day it suddenly rebooted, displaying the MI logo on screen and didn't turn on until i have made a complete factory reset :( gradually it showed system is stopped, ui is stopped and ETC..... After facing these many troubles i gave it for repairing and after that day i could never see the screen of my phone on. :'(

At first we all have faced many problems. But its the time to become a super user by rooting your xiaomi note 4g. Problems that i got solved aafter rooting: 1.battery drain 2.slow nnetwork 3.poor download speed 4.Unable to connect and transfer files from/to pc 5.limted apps could be installed 6.frequent rreboots. Battery drain:This problem was solved by uninstalling all battery saving apps(power hungry and ram consuming), and installing battery calibrate app which requires root. 2.slow network problem was overcome by editing ie adding some lines in the build.prop file. 3.poor download speed is a major problem in most of the smartphones.i got it solved after rooting and adding some tweaks and installing hola app. 4.after i rooted i just tried connecting my phone to pc using the inbox usb (without mi pc suite) and it worked fine.I use share it as well as zapya app to share files between pc and xiaomi. 5.first i could install very less nnumber of apps. Kinda 25-30.after that i got a out of space error. But after rooting i installed link2sd app (which requires second partition on sd card which can be easily done by a android app by name aparted).Then i linked all apps to sd. Whatsapp which took 95 mb of internal space now requires only 4 mb. As i have linked it to sd card. 6.rebooting problems gone after rooting and removing system apps(unwanted)like you tube n all.. You can uninstall youtube n oter unwanted apps and again install it as user app and link it to sd so that its size will be greatly reduced. (attention:first thing after rooting is to make a nandroid backup)

I would like to tell you the advantages of rooting xiaomi note 4g lte. 1.install cwm and twrp 2.make nandroid backup 3.install tweaks(editing build prop file and faking ua device i.e if you are ffed-up of looking for a lollipop update, there's a alternative fake method to switch to lollipop. First root your phone by flashing philz touch cwm(google it) and then search rootonly.Zip file in google and then flash it.Download supersu and update binary. Voila you are done. After that use esfile Explorer and navigate to system folder and locate build.prop file long press->edit->change relese from 4.4.4 to 5.0.1 and save it->reboot. Now you navigate to settings and about phone. Now it'll be showing 5.0.1.But if you double tap the easter egg will be the stock 'K' kitkat symbol this can be faked by using a app called easter egg(this requires xposed app) download xposed app from store and install->reboot and then open xposed and go to modules and tick easter egg app then reboot. Now open easter egg app and select lollipop after that press options and select logging. Thats it now exit the app.Move to settings->about phone - >trie tap on android version. Now you'll see the lollipop animation. In order to make it more realistic download lollipop land game from store. Use a lollipop launcher and stock apps of lollipop.

Most probably, MIUI 7 is for high end Mi Note. The issue is that Xiaomi do not indicate any specified models and there are at least 3 and more, totally different model. Such as i bought a Note with 64GB memory 3GB ram, etc that come with MIUI 7. I have to verified several features in order to know which is my model "Mi Note" what!? That may be the cause of your problem.

Why need to add. My phone is 8GB internal, and after adding apps, there is still balance of 4GB. Most of apps is not hungry on storage space. Just make sure those apps never use, either uninstall or don't update (preloaded apps). Most Xiaomi phones are able to root without any geek term. For budget wise, this is excellent and cheap phone. You can root the phone as most Xiaomi phones able to root. I bought cheap from some shop and found out almost all factory preload apps. So i went to this site, where i can download and upgrade to a stable version. Wipe clean on factory preloaded apps. After upgrade, and in order to download Google Play apps, search for the "Google installer" to installed Google Play.

You need to go and check & adjust the camera setting. Heating most probably is due to apps running in the background. Press + Hold the Home key, remove the apps (drag upward). I always do this way to reduce any heat issue, and this will free some rams.

Battery is excellent, maybe you may know how to save the battery. After closing any apps incl games, the apps &or games will still be in the background, and eating your battery life shorten. Bought this phone 2 weeks ago in Serbia for around 160Euros. All I can say is that i am pretty satisfied with phone, has pretty good feeling in hand, build quality is good 7.5/10. Buttons are placed well so it doesnt cause any trouble pressing them whitch is a big + since this phone is 5.5 screen wise. Back cover is shiny and slippery, i suggest you buying a bumper so it doesnt slip out of your hand accidently. Screen is really good, i would say the best in this price range, its bright, colors are good and i see no pixels. camera is fine, i would say its 13 mpxels on the paper, but in reality id say its 8.. front camera is fine. When it comes to the performance phone run smoothly with no lag. Apps are opening fast and when it comes to gaming it can run all games without lag. battery holds up well and you can have around 7-8 hours on screen time depending on daily use, whitch means it can hold up to a day or two. Call quality is good. only real issue is that from time to time 'mdnsd' proces starts draining battery and only way to fix that is by clearing cash from recovry mode, maybe it doesnt happen to every user but it does happen to me. everything else about this phone is satisfactory.

The repair servicing personnel was extremely helpful. Without waiting for me to explain all of the problems I'm facing, he brushed it off saying it was the SD card and apps I've installed. He provided removing the sd card remedy due to the other customer he encountered who had a completely different issue. Insisted i go home to test my phone without the sd card and told me to go home. Claimed that if not, it is the apps I have downloaded. I only have the basic social media and VoIP apps (ig / wa /line ). He told me to come again tomorrow (i.e. today) and only today will i get to 'skip the queue' if i really still had the same issue. Do you really think everyone has the time to come down the next day just because you don't properly take the time to diagnose the problem? Gave him the benefit of doubt that perhaps it is my sd card. Guess what? My phone still lags when i went home. Tried to watch two short videos on YouTube and the same thing happened. One or two months back, ive sent my phone in for repair due to the faulty power button & the staff handling the collection handed me another customer's phone and insisted it was mine. Never ever purchasing xiaomi phones / gadgets ever again. Horrid aftersales service

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G is patetic. And I think its cause of MIUI cause I've heard CM Roms working smooth in this phone. I had MIUI6 now on MIUI7. Both pathetic. Poor RAM management. Camera heats and crashes. Also camera apps eat all resource and rapee all other apps. Almost all apps like whatsapp, snapchat etc lag. And OS also lags. Android on Nexus is way smoother. So its MIUI. 4G works excellent though. Battery life is good. Display is fine. Rest all is pathetic. Worst performance ever. Frequent reboots required. My device doesn't face heating problem as much as I've read about others, but once it heats and then the phone is fuc*ed. Dont buy this. There are many better options. And if possible pay a little extra for a peaceful experience for good.

Mobile & features is awesome but some more improvements are required. As there should be copy, cut, paste, move option in the gallery as in blackberry. Coz for all types this activity i have to open file explore.

it's the orange color box press it go to the SMS text box and hard press it.You will get the clipboard manager.

Message is a orange color box at the bottom corner. Press it then hard press the empty message space clip board manager will come to the screen.
