better not. i had this phone and within the first week, the screen hung. following that, my phone gets pretty laggy and gets hung on textin screen or the whole screen will turn white/black for a few seconds. i've sent it for repair THREE times and the fourth time, acer gave me ACER LIQUID.

this is very good phone. the only problem i had, was under direct sunlight - then screen is hard to see. but the functions and possibilities of this phone are great. the phone never hang and it's fast.

GSM arena should mention that this phone does standard without third party software incall-recording (through the acer dialer). It's the only phone advertised with this function.

Yes it does have internal gps antenna. Use destinator and go to gps signal, then go to settings and press " find gps"

Very fast phone, it can handle easy any kind of heavy programmes. I think it's faster in many cases than hd2 which I owned before that. It sure worth it's money. Gps is very good as well. Also don't compare it's speed in browsing using Internet explored but opera 10, it works like a charm. I think it's fair to recomend it to those who don't want to spend a very high amount of money for a very fast windows mobile.

Skype does not support this OS. Even new windows mobile OS owners will not be able to download Skype. Free open market download to any OS is not available anymore. Skype now want to sell it`s app, but only to OS manufactures. Nokia , China Mobile and Verzion Wireless have contracted Skype and is available on the phones.

Love the phone for everything else!!!!! Iphone doesnt touch this phone..... with there 1 app at a time nonsense. ... i did the same as you with fido and having problems with the APN settings etc. Did you figure out how to get the data/internet settings setup on this phone????

After reading the ARENA REVIEW when this phone came out, i hisitate, if i should buy it or not, fortunately i did bought it and been using it for the last 2 months now, the truth is i love this phone specialy after ACER had the update on the ROM, which fixed every mistake ARENA mintioned on there review. the most i like about it that it comes almost stripped of any application other than WM6.5 and few application from ACER, means i was free to download all the application i like. and the net is full of them, so that you stuff you phone with very usfel application, more over dont worry about slowdown, this phone has the fastest peocessor you can ever imagin. and the price is very resonable.

Most likely you have to set it up with the GPRS and MMS setting for your provider. You should either contact them or look at their web page for the correct settings.

Need Help! I just picked up this phone and it seem to work very good for calling, Text and Wifi connectivity but I couldent make it work using my Network providers Internet. I turned on everything that has to be turned on to make it work but it still tells me I am not connected to the internet. I am in Canada and using Fido as my provider for call and intenet. Can somebody help me to set it up properly? Is there any third party software for me to down load? Thanks.

oh and the g-sensor utility is not stock.. sorry. You have to download and install the f900 g-sensor cab from xda-developers. Works great. I now have the htc hero theme w/5 customizable desktops on home screen as well as the sweet carousel lol. I'm loving this phone.

Correction: You can use opera and skyfire in landscape. I just realized the G-sensor has a settings menu which allows you to specify which applications can be changed to landscape by turning the device sideways. So good to discover that little nugget of joy. FYI --> I use att 3g in chicago and burbs area. Full bars and my internet download speed is 400kbps faster than iphone 3gs.

I actually have this phone. I played around with the HTC HD2 rom and I don't like manilla so I went back to standard 6.5 w/spb mobile shell to get carousel and the android like multiple screens. It tons faster than the 3gs which i just sold off and lets not forget it actually plays most media files. It has GPS and i was just using it with IGO Inav software today. Skyfire works and I can watch justin.tv if i feel the urge. I get 3g hsdpa full bars in my area (chicago & nw suburbs). The resistive screen is excellent and reacts well to touches. I don't have to pound on the screen and it is well optimized for my fingers. The keyboard takes getting used to but it works really well once I got used to having to actually press on the screen. In landscape mode, the keyboard rivals iphone and android capacitive devices. I've tried both kinds and that's how i feel about it. That was my biggest worry and I gambled correctly on the neotouch. I am sooo glad to be rid of itunes. Its bulky and it slows my computer down at the most inconvenient times. Lets not forget to mention it wouldn't let me restore the phone (right when i was about to sell it), B/c apparently apple has decided to force people to restore to newest firmware WTF. The bad --> My desktop still refuses to install the RNDIS drivers to sync w/WMDC on win 7 RC. Works fine on my laptop w/Win 7 full version and I can sync on the desktop using xp virtual mode no problem. The battery seems to last only about a day right now but I need to break it in. B/c i install and uninstall so many programs and stuff, I have to use the reset button every once in a while. (if Iphone could do that I'd have to restart too and in fact i've had it freeze many many times.) Same will go for HTC HD2... you'll have to reset it many times. The stock homescreen is useless , but all you have to do is uncheck the acer homescreen in home options. opera and skyfire don't recognize accelerometer but that will get fixed. So, no landscape except in IE which is much better b/c flash and speed, but still slow. Media player doesn't know the difference b/w ringtone and songs so you end up with them mixed together unless you organize em yourself. The video recording framerate is not good in darker settings and its excellent in relatively brighter settings. (this will be the exact same on HTC HD2, I am sure of it.) FM radio works just fine w/out the headphones, but the headphones antenna will let it work better indoors. Browsing speed is very fast in opera 10 beta and probably rivals safari in speed if not faster. If you put skyfire in the mix, the iphone browser falls way behind. Safari does zoom and scroll better, but scrolling isn't alot better and zoom is more accurate for columns and things of that nature. The verdict. As far as i'm concerned the neotouch is the best phone for the money period. Next you're looking at nexus one and n900 and maybe xperia phones. You can't beat the hardware and though the finish isn't the best, we're not trying to make a fashion statement; we want usability and flexibility and SPEEEEEED!!!..... and of course, flash. Since adobe has been promising flash for the last 2 years w/no sign of it coming out, WM is your only means of flash through skyfire. Hope this helps you guys settle the flame war.

Yes built in ringtones are low in volume but I used high pitched ringtones, sound is very good. I would sugges u to use high pitch sounds.

i have been using this phone for about 3 weeks now, in fact i am so pleased with it, very powerful, fast and sleek, it is cool, one problem is the ringtone voulum is very low even after updating the software, even though still i will not give it up for any other one.

Regret. i really feel regret. overall design is good. the applications sucks. touch-screen keypad it's ok. battery very fast dead. ringtones gotta set different in the file. the more i say, the more i feel regret. to me, 3star out of 10.

i own this Acer f1 and so far the performance is good.. there is no silicone case available in the market as its still new and just launched..and one more thing honestly the battery can't stand longer if you use it frequently as it use 1Gb processor...faster and use more battery..try to use power saver..

Plz think over before investing Rs 32000/-. The biggest problem is the battery gets drain within half an hour. Or if u see half of the movie on ur device the battery is zero.

A bad experiane for trusting a new comer i mean the battery back up a phathetic,when the phone rings,It feels like you are useing those cheap chinese phones which you get in the grey market.CAMERA QUALITY, 5MP? pleaseee , A VGA camera would have a much better picture quality.Feel and the plastic finish of the phone sucks. I bought this phone on the 2nd day of its launch for INR 35,000 in (Bangalore) & was very very Unhappy with its performance (in just 2 days) as i 've told above the reasons.I rushed to the distributor and returned it back for 5,850 INR less. I was very much frustrated with its performance.Thank god i didnt throw it in the trash bin. Improve your quality Acer People.You need to be careful with the Indian Market , Business people just dont get satisfied with what ever trash you sell.

Internal memory NOT A GOOD IDEA. I had Nokia N95 and had like TONS OF STUFF ON IT... went accross Canada on my car and had pictures... all memories GONE WITH A BLINK OF AN EYE!!! I got busy and never got a chance to back up my phone which i will never forget again. Now I think having Micro sd or external memory is really a good idea!!!

Snapdragon is essentially qualcomm's variation of the cortex processor. I believe I saw some benchmarks that actually had it running slightly faster than the cortex a8.

Check HD2 Hardware: RAM, Display Size, MultiTouch,GPRS/EDGE class,Radio HD2 Software: HTC Sense UI, Upgradable WM7, xda-developers "support" HTC vs Acer; HTC have release much more WM phone compare to Acer, so. so, buying a good phone not only read on the spec...

Simply wonderful. HTC can only clean his shoes. The HTC are almost always bad and unreliable. Almost always Htc care centers do not recognize the problems in warranty, at least in Italy. Acer is certainly another story.
