I don't know a lot about phones, but the camera's pretty bad. I use the phone primarily for the text messager, browser, and a few games (Pixel Dungeon, Zork, nothing major). In only 3 years the battery has gone from linear to logarithmic. It drops by the second almost after 50%. The UI or OS or whatever is good. I like its layout. 4GB was good 5 years ago, and even with the SD card, it doesn't save apps to it. If you have a lot in Downloads, move them to a separate folder and clear data on Download Manager app. The speaker is one of the worst I've heard, and this is coming from a professional musician and composer. I get better from the Latitude CP-x laptop. The screen lasted 2 years about, and I've dropped it a lot, I think. It has too many apps you can't delete, like Play Books, Play Movies, Play Newsstand, Google +, etc. That I never use, never update, but impede my ability to download new games and stuff. Without the SD card, I wouldn't have Death, Pantera, Metallica, Opeth, Gamma Ray, Iron Maiden, Extermination Dismemberment, Dream Theater, etc on there. The only reason I don't get a new phone is I got the battery signed by Brian Volmer from Helix, and to say the least, that's pretty damn cool. Get it if you want it, but read most reviews first. I think its good for the price.

I bought a Pixi 3 (4.5) as a temporary replacement when my main phone broke down. I found it remarkably capable for a phone so cheap. It can manage all day-to-day functions of a good smartphone with ease: browsing, emailing, reading news, banking, mapping, etc. The screen is of good quality and the battery lasts more than a day in normal use. The main drawbacks are the poor camera and the very small memory if you don't add an SD card. Overall I was pleasantly surprised.

I have this phone. Only problem i have is cannot get rid of the old orange Apps .But i can still get ee apps. You just have to type EE apps. Appart from that . phones are like designer clothes. ETC. Your just mainly payin for the name. I find with all the phones. There battery life us totaly unbelievable. They battery time seems to have got worse. Most of newer iPhone. You're lucky if you get 12 hours.

All those who are shouting that this phone is bad either liars or just ignorant people. This is very good phone from any aspect of smart phone business. Of coarse, if you want having some fancy phone with a lot of extra fixtures or space, buy another (expensive) phone (2-3 times the price of this one).

The best phone I've ever got. It will perform extremely good if you root it, overclock, use SDMaid, fstrim it and use HEBF Optimizer. The phone performs better than my Zenfone Go 4.5. The camera is not bad but just okay. And also, it charges up to 100% in just 2 hours. This phone lacks performance in games so don't get this phone if you like to play graphics-intensive games. Sadly, you can't find this phone's cover and accessories easily. You might need to purchase it online.

I have to say this is the worst bloody phone I have gotten ever. its memory is uber tiny, and certain apps require so much bloody space that even if i have absolutely any other apps other than the already preloaded ones that it claims i have no more space and when i try to make space it doesn't work, doesn't save much of anything to my dang sd card so i have a crap ton of space on the sd card but just won't freakin put it on the sd card. I'm gonna say this AVOID ALCATEL PHONES LIKE THE BLOODY PLAGUE AND JUST GO WITH A SAMSUNG OR ANYTHING BUT NOT AN ALCATEL PHONE!!!!!!! Absolutely terrible phone. Owned it for a year and a half now, and I have never seen a device act up so much. It types by itself, the screen glitches out, it is constantly crashing and this is all occurring using standard apps like the pre-installed text messenger. It's an absolutely terrible phone, but if you're on a tight budget, you might be able to get it to work.

Not true I have this phone aswell, quite a lot of game are alright on this phone I even have a Nintendo DS Emulator on it and it works perfectly fine hasn't crashed once, it isn't an ideal phone for games but for a first phone and the games that are available, yes it is a good phone actually.

i think this phone is just for basic users like me. surf internet once in a while,not a hardcore gamer,music listener.i think the camera is okay, im not a fan of selfie but its actually oky if your wanting to capture memories,it does takes up time if you want to open an app ,patience is actually the key if you want to own this phone,do not download as much app because ur phone will get really laggy,i just dowloaded wassap on my phone,no songs or anything,do not put high expectation considering its a budget ranged phone

This phone runs ok (BUT ONLY FOR THE PRICE) until you start adding apps. Once you've less than 800mb of internal storage left it can't cope with even light use ie) 10 apps running in the background. It's camera is absolute crap, the images are not at all good enough quality for even social media like FB. I have had many smartphones, but nothing has lagged like this thing. I even rooted my Pixi 3(4) and removed all bloatware, it still lags the same. Save up the money and get a Motorola G4. Worst smartphone i've used in years.

I've had this phone about 9 months. I've had zero problems with it except it does get a bit laggy after using multiple apps but using a cache cleaning app I have takes care of that. 1.5ghz processor is not bad for speed but if your a gamer thus phone is not for you. Decent phone for a teenager but not so good for the more technically advanced person!!!

I got one of these in July. Played up, not sending txt etc then started doing strange things. To the service centre 3 times then they replaced it. New one ok for while but has started doing same things. Most frustrating is when txt do not go. Back to my old phone I think and this one in the back of the cupboard. Really annoying!

If you don't mind your child getting lost. The phone has no compass. So when you arrive somewhere you will have no idea what direction to go in until you walk 50 M. Or you have to stand there and work it out by finding out which way is North, where you just got off, and where the streets are! LIke the 1900s! What a joke! I recommend you do NOT risk giving this to your child. Who knows what else is wrong with the phone, since the company is clearly not trustworthy.

I've dropped this so hard god knows how many times, and right when I dropped it lightly it cracked. This phone is pretty bad, battery drains fast, speakers very low, small portion of storage even though I have a SD card, camera quality sucks... and it constantly glitches

Friend, What did you expect when you buy this product, with 512mb ram is a pretty small and 4GB internal memory which is divided into 2GB for OS and 2GB for user. so the only solution is to first save your all data; images, mp3, etc and then do factory data reset, when this is over then do not install; facebook, massenger, instagram, snapchat, since this program simply eat the internal memory and run in the background, so that the phone starts to freeze, so using them through the browser. Thus if the phone is working perfectly, I wish you happy moments

I have a lot of problems with this cellphone. I've had it for about 3 months and haven't dropped it since I received it. I've had problems with it before - not enough storage, bad camera quality, screen delays, etc. But now the problem has EVOLVED big time. My music won't play anymore, I can't load any photos on my gallery, the phone claims to not being able to find any files which resulted in me deleting apps as I thought it was a problem with the storage however it isn't. I find myself having to restart my phone around 5-7 times a day just to play a song or browse my gallery. I regret buying this cellphone big time :(

I had same problem and my SIM card was incompatible. And the slot you tube showed it wentnin was wrong. It takes a large old school card and it goes in the big card slot. I had to take mine into T mobile . Ended up eating the cost and getting a Samsung

Camera is very poor quality and does not focus well, especially at close range. Phone is laggy even with bare-bones setup. I find it lagging often when using the keypad, switching to certain different keypads helps. Im not a fan, but not sure what better options there are in the 80$ ish price range.

I got the Alcatel pixi 3 ask around April 2016 and it has been so so sometimes it just disconnect by itself , it is difficult to answer but you can't call out alright the clarity is good not the fastest but it's okay dr. Recently what it is doing on its own was its dialing numbers at random out of my contacts at all hours including night time which is annoying the heck out of my friends. So now here we are September 19 and I have not been able to use the phone since Thursday or Friday the screen would sometimes Flash White... And now I am unable to turn it on, at first I thought it was the charger so I have used a different charger and that does not seem to be the problem I have not called Net10 and they are shipping out a new battery and charger hope this will take care of the problem will keep you posted... without a cell phone and unhappy in Montebello

I had this problem and solved it. The fault is that the stupid OS actually thinks that the memory card is the internal memory and vice versa so you have to tell it to do the opposite of what you want. Set the default storage to "Phone Storage" and it will suddenly work. You wouldn't believe it, but it's true. Infuriating!

Alcatel one touch pixie 4.4 is an inferior quality phone for any price. The texting system does not sense the correct letters or numbers and makes it impossible to text a whole sentence in less than 10 minutes.

Don't trust Alcatel ! What sort of company puts out a phone without a COMPASS and fails to tell consumers? It's like putting out a car without a steering wheel. Also: - so little storage you will run out of space in a week or so - you can't transfer many apps to SD card - slow I will never buy from Alcatel again because clearly you can't trust them.

do not like to ''root'' the phone, because it becomes an easy target for infection . This means that it has to spoil the phone, because '-vir us- ' will corrupting the android system and eventually become worthless brick . SD card will not help much because all the apps that you can not switch into SD card and those that are transferred they still using the internal memory and only solution is to have as few installed applications. but there are cases where , despite a small amount of installed applications and ( you delete a few) but still shows low internal memory , then it is best to delete all pictures and videos with the internal memory and if the internal memory does not increase then do a reset on the phone, so all data will be deleted and the phone will start as when it was new

It's awesome for the price you pay. If you want S7 bang for 50 bucks, you are dreaming. Never had a problem with it. 4G LTE. Battery life is great. Outstanding as a GPS using Here Maps/CoPilot. Camera is probably biggest disappointment - fixed focus and can't recognise QR codes because it won't focus that close. Qualifications: I disabled A LOT of junk inbuilt apps; but then - I always do. Installed a micro SD card (mostly for MP3's). I turn off Wifi/Data until I need it, and battery lasts over a week between charges. Mine came with Android 5.1. It was a prepaid but since unlocked.

I have just got two of these phones for my little boys, I have had to do a lot of tweaking to it, but works fine, pokemon go is on it too. (download it from app store not Google play) But it is a little slow. In my honest opinion, save your money. This phone has crap memory, glitchy programming, randomly crashes/freezes+resets and has shit battery life. 1) programming: Sometimes when you're typing, it will randomly register the surrounding keys of the letter/number you meant to type, kinda like a joke phone and it will randomly press the home/back button. 2)crash/freeze+reset: Sometimes when you're checking emails, the screen will flash white till you refresh the page, also it randomly freezes/crashes at times and takes almost 3 minutes to reset. 3) battery life: When this phone is on 15% and under, the battery literally drains and counts down in seconds. It also takes almost 3 hours to charge from 0-100 In conclusion, if you're thinking about getting this phone as a quick fix, you're better of getting a classic Nokia flip top phone then getting a crappy phone with terrible glitchy programming as this one has. Save your money.

Internal memory is 4GB but is divided into 2GB for Android system and 2GB for the user . so installing new applications, fotos, music, videos, etc, reduces internal memory However, I advise you to put micro SD card into the phone , because some applications can be transferred to the SD card , and all images, video's mp3's switch to the SD card , and set the phone to default storage to SD card to release of the data in the internal memory of the phone

Couldn't find any results of the phone I have, the elevate 5017b. So I'll just have to say how horrible a phone had to be for it to not exist? Horrible, horrible product. Froze and was stuck in reboot loop, reset only works with factory reset. Did this two weeks after purchasing, and twice more the following month! Apps and reboot randomly, general performance is lag, force closings, etc.

When the light flashes on and off, that means that a notification came, and if you want by the flashing to stop, just delete it, and when the light is just on (with no flickering) that neans that it's charging..

Best phone in my opinion and that 8MP camera though DAMN! Can't get that in a prepaid phone anymore! What makes the phone bad is the type of service provider. I dropped mine without a cover now the screen lighting flashes sometimes. My fault on that part so overall it's an amazing phone.

Battery like is so unpredictable. On one charge it will last anywhere from 3 days to dead overnight. Same amount of usage and very few pictures taken. This is the second pixi 3 because with the first one the battery only held a charge for a few hours.

Storage memory card will not help the operating speed. The memory card is for storage of photos, files ect and some apps will allow you to store on the card. It is the number of cores and processor speed which determines the speed. This phone is low speed with 512mhz speed vs Samsung S3 which is 1 Ghz or 2Ghz in the 4G version. ie save your money

My box reads model 4027D. Android 4.4, 4.5" screen, 1.3ghz dual core processor, 3G+ 21mbps, 5 mpx camera and dual sim. I've had it a couple of weeks now. It has been good so far. AWESOME battery, i charged it tuesday morning and it is now sunday morning and it is at 60% battery life on standby. This means it will live out 12 to 14 days on standby. Crazy. I must say i don't like the Android 4.4 version it is a bit disorganized but i am getting used to it. no alarm melody option. Voice quality is great and crisp screen resolution.

I've had it a day and already hate it, The android 4.4 is a nightmare. very disorganized. Had to install an alarm app just so i can change the alarm melody and probably will install maps so i can find the gps when i want it and not spend half an hour looking for something to lead me to it... i would like to update to another version of android if i can.

Is there an upside? Alcatel you have made some really good phones in the past...what's gone wrong. This phone takes nearly ten seconds to activate the thing and launch its own launcher! It is crippled by internals that are just not enough to even do minimal tasks, let alone play a game...slooow down galore until crash...and we're not talking 3d games with high graphic demands. I dread to think what this device benchmarks at? I doubt it would even run antutu, or similar!! You need to recall your product Alcatel, it cheapens your otherwise reasonable reputation.

I just bought a 3g version in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. For a price of RM148 (about 35 us dollar) which include one month free 500MB data from local telco, it is a value buy. It is smooth enough for normal usage with few social apps and few dictionaries installed. it has 2 normal sim card slot. I need to use adaptor for my nano card but it is not recommended as the adaptor may damage the sim contact pin. Picture is soso only. Have not try it under the sun. The whole phone is made of plastic and screen viewing angle suffer wash out colouring if not look it straight. over all, a usable budget phone.
