Allview X1 Soul - User Reviews

  • The best phone i ever had for this price.

  • The phone is good with full hd 5.5 screen. But the main drawback is the we can't install much app in the phone. The phone is gives more preference to music & videos. The memory get full within 3_4 app installed.

  • phone is ok. just as disappointing service sites. you simply jegmanesc. Allview should like to have even cite a service in big cities. parts are found for them, but not directly from Allview, only to merchants

  • You can find 3g / wifi fix patch on their website, I've had the same problem and it worked with the updates.

  • From romania

  • my touch scren is broken i cant find a neww touch scren in my cantry, in kosova ,, also i dont know when to order one or if a can order somewhere. pleas help mee

  • The service is verry bad. I had problems with the gps. I went to the service 2 times and they did not fix it. Great hardware but very bad software. I don't recomand romanian phones. They don't fix the proplems if you have problems with them

  • My phone made a terrible noise and died ....anybody knows why Anybody that have a phone like that could tell me what happened... Thanks

  • Pro: Works very good. And no lag. The hardware is amazing the best price-quality report Cons: The software part might have little bugs(but not important) -> Android 4.2b The software can't be updated :( The service is awful hope you won't have problem with this phone because they are very careless with customers(it takes time to solve your problem)

  • Works very good!! Pro: -No lag. -wireless screen (for tv) is gorgeous, no lag, i like that. - single speaker but strong. The sound is amazing. -amazing hardware specification -nice design -Best raport quality-price -big internal memory 32GB and no card needed (i never used more then 25 GB ever) Cons: -the battery could be better for a quad core processor and a 5 inches screen but if you decide to buy it i think that you can see that in the speciffication and you have no problem with that. - no sensor in order to auto adjust screen brightness - after some months is starts to reset itself once a day or close the applications(for example i am listening to radio and the radio turns off, or i am playing and the it exits the game). That is it's worst bug. It is annoing -camera is not as good as you expect for a 13 MP camera...but it will do the work fine - no OS updates until now Conclusions: in my opinion this phone has great performance for a low price phone. I don't know why i see so many complains about it having low battery or no card slot. All there are mentioned in the specifications and you can see then before buying it. If you don't like that just don't buy it... it's a low cost phone what do you expect to? i saw phones with a grater price and respected company that produce them but with much more defects. Sorry for my english

  • Oh boy...the phone is made under copyright...or the romanian factory buyed the the pattern and started improving the first phones.they even got envolved in a proces with samsung cause the samsung company suspected that allview stolen some pattern from them.

  • Indeed, it the smart gesture feature is very hard to use, or to be precise not possible. But it freeze only once, when I tried to use it as GPS navigation, playing music via USB in the car and trying to google something. But other than that, it worked perfect from the first day. I have it for more than 6 months and it's running very good.

  • Works very good.

  • In adition to the cons of my previous post that hasen't appeared yet, the smart gesture feauture dose not exist, or it really sucks that much... It's not working under any contition And all those nice feauters of the camera and photo editing from the official site presentation, again, nowhere to be found...

  • Worst miskate in my life after the Xperia U... I bought the phone 3 days ago and it still didn't amazed me yet... CONS. - 3 hours after I got my hands on it, it freezed after installing 3apps. - the keyboard is impossible to work with... The options of the layout are very limited. - upgrade to 4.4 is out of the question... - single speaker although it looks like it would have 2. Come on, seriously guys? - after 5 minutes of gameplay I can fry eggs on the CPU!!! - there is not a single game that worked without lag!!! (just the gameboy emulators) - the 32 gigs are actualy 24... WTH is wrong with you people?? - the text scroll gets out of control when you touch it for no reason... - and more importantly and agravateing, there is nothing Romanian about this phone at all. NOTHING!!! Takeing Chinese phones, rebrand them and sell them under the banner "Romanian phones, high specs-low prices"? Well, the price is low I tell ya but the specs are lower. PROS. - Syntax Error {no string available or found} *Tomorrow I'm gonna take it back to Vodafone to get my refund. Pfah, romanian phones... °_°

  • Well, they'll have to change some major things about the company if they wanna stay here... Stay tuned or another review if you wanna know why...

  • I have this phone for more than a month and I compared it with my previous Galaxy S3 and I have to admit that this X1 is better. Battery life is better, pictures are better, design is better (from my point of view) and there are other things which I really enjoy. THe only thing I don't like is that it came with Android 4.2 and they didn't make an update to 4.4. Maybe it's a marketing strategy so people will buy another Allview with 4.4. And you really get a lot from this phone for the money you pay.

  • It's an awesome phone, I really like it. 13mp camera, does some amazing pictures. the battery keeps the phone up for a day at maximum usage like music, movies, games, internet, phone calls etc. All applications work excellent, the CPU is amazing. Another big plus for the touchscreen, works perfect. I really recommend this phone.

  • I have this phone almost 1 month now. The price was good considering the specs. Tere are a few problems i have with it: 1. the internet speed via WiFi is wark. I have more speed on my data than on WiFi 2. the battery life is bad. it lasts like 6 hours with intensive use and 8-10 with moderate useage. 3. The camera is bad. Even taugh it has 13MP it is bad. Other than tha it runs well.

  • Not so good as it says on paper, eg : a phone with qualcomm chipset and 1 ghz krait dual core processor, adreno 350 and 1 Gb of RAM and 480p display beats this phone when talking about gaming, I play dead trigger 2 at maximum graphichs on xperia M while this game laggs on this allview at the lowest !

  • I bought this phone like almost a month ago. It is great. Works great. Looks the greatest. Was cheap comparing it to other devices with these specs. The only area where it did not met my expectations is the primary camera. It makes good photos but i expected it to make great photos.

  • Hi everyone! I've got this phone yesterday and it was working fine! However when I tried to call someone I couldn't hear anything. If I want to hear the one I called I have to switch to speakers or use headphones. Otherwise I won't hear the other person. But the called person can hear me. Does anyone knows what this problem is? Can I fix it by myself or I have to send it back for repairs? (sorry if my English is bad)

  • Hi! I got this phone yesterday and it is working fine. But If someone calls me I can't hear him/her only on speakers. Also it works fine with headphones but with the regular speaker it stays silent. But this is a good phone apart from this. Oh and if anyone could help me with this problem I would appreciate that. P.S.: sorry for my bad English

  • I have this phone and is a horrible disappointment. Proximity sensor came broken. Took it back and after 14 days it came back "fixed" Air gestures - dream on .... Now, the flash light is not working Allview Customer Support is honorific. I had a htc sensations before and received the Allview Soul for free on my business... but it does not worth the trouble Stay away, buy a second hand proper phone like a galaxy s2 / 3.

  • A small review about my experience with this rebranded Gionee Elife E6 phone. Good things to say about it: 1. Screen excellent resolution, bright colours, good viewing angles; 2. Performance smooth, stabile, and fast. I dont do games, so, I wouldnt know the games that work with it or not, but, FullHD movies run smooth, lag-free and effortless. 3. Looks beautiful and upmarket; 4. Nice headphone sound; 5. Battery good but not exceptional; if you behave, you can manage two days of usage with 1h/day of speaking and 1h/day of intense browsing and other apps running along with wi-fi and GP 6. Phone signal is good even in large concrete building (havent tried it in the subway, but I guess it doesnt work fine, unless you live in South Korea :P) 7. The quality of the conversation is good. Even more, the noise cancelation is working very decent; Neutral things about it: 1. The screen, although excellent in terms of resolution and colours, has its limitations when confronted with bright sunlight; 2. The main camera could be a bit better and richer in software ; the low-light capabilities arent exactly excellent but rather decent; 3. Although it has DTS, the phone has only one speaker that tries to cope with the loudness and quality you would expect from it and it is fairly good but I strongly believe that a phone that aspires for premium status should have two high quality speakers; the design could trick you because optically speaking it seems to have two speakers; in fact, the left-speaker-holes are there just for the sake of shape and symmetry, which I find awkward and silly; 4. Im not sure about the customer service of the company outside China or even if they have one; 5. The unibody design is a matter of taste; I like it, some dont; for start, you cant change the battery yourself and Im not sure! if you can do that at all, even with the help of a professional; 6. Yes its a quad-core and yes it has 2 GB of RAM, but, just for the sake of being fair, Antutu benchmark registered 13.500 points when I tested the phone...if you have no social live and all you ever care is benchmark points and bragging about your phone specs which I find childishly idiotic; 7. Personaly, I don't like the twecking of the software done by the guys at Allview; it would be better off left as the standard Android version; Negative things about it: 1. It has no MicroSD slot, though it possesses 32 GB (aprox. 25 usable); 2. The Radio receiver isnt very effective and it losses a lot of signal, even at open ground level; furthermore, the radio menu is crap and you cant change the radio stations via headphones (the headphones have a button which, by pressing it when listening to radio, usually changes the station; or at least Nokia an Sony headphones do that); 3. Allview customer service is horrible; 4. Buying this phone, means almost certain that you'll never see an update of the software done by Allview; All things said, I still think this is a phone to buy and enjoy if you want a very capable phone and you can see beyond the brand and benchmark hysteria and dont want to brake the bank either.

  • I own the X1 Soul, or, to be specific and politically correct, the Gionee Elife E6, and it worked flawless for the past 3 months. It's a great and realiable phone (thus far) and for the purchase price, it's really tough to beat.

  • It's incredible! Dear "brasoveanu" and many others, have you ever wondered how a small company like Allview can produce all what they sell on her website (smartphone, TV, GPS, tablet, DVD) as theier logo? Moreover the interface, the operating system can be customized on request even by chinese manufacturer, if you make a serious command! Forgot or do not know, HTC before they become a big company, sells its products under various logos like SPV, Qtek, Dopod, i-Mate, XDA,...

  • Just bought an All view X1 a few days ago, mainly because I was needed a GPS that can run offline (satelites only) . It was bought in a big hurry, since I couldn't find a decent map for my embedded navigation of the car I just bought. Yes, is kind of weird that TomTom for the embedded Blaupunkt nav. system (Ford Focus 2010) still does not have maps for all EU. But, after all, it was a good thing, because it made me bought this phone. With each day, I like it more and more. With the GPS on and a few phone calls over Bluetooth, the battery last about 8 hours. The display is very good, crystal clear and with very vibrant colors. In games (I tried a few, but end up playing mostly Plants vs. Zombies :), browsing and YouTube HD, is very fluid. Sound is very good on both multimedia and phone calls. Camera is also surprisingly good for a phone, it almost matches my Nikon D90. So far, it worked flawless, without any hang or restart. It looks to me like a very good device, well built and with astounding performance for it's price. I am very glad I bought it.

  • Parts: China Assembly/Testing&warranty/UI development: Brasov,Romania They buy the components from China and assemble the phones in Romania. That is not very unusual by the way. Producers of any electronic device are guilty of this. Also it is not a bad thing. You could buy the best running shoes from Adidas, the most comfortable pants from Nike, the most rugged watch from G-Shock in order to assemble the best running gear. Same thing here with the phone. They mix and match components to attain a certain price and quality level. Also it is not necessarily going straight for the Samsung S or iPhone exactly because people don't recognize it as a good phone due to the brand and will generally prefer going for the brand even if they made the Allview phone distinctly better than the competition.

  • Max have right. i am from Roumania. Is rebranded chinese phone. we don't have a factory can make the phone. Olso is a good phone for that specification and that price.By the way, many phone is made in China like a IPHONE....

  • Well yes, this is the bad on this smart phone.

  • e atat de bun incat bateria tine 5h !!! de speriat.

  • Best raport quality-price. The phone is built in China but is customized in Romania, also the producer is from Romania..Very good phone.

  • No, Allview phones are made in Romania, in Brasov city. Go and check their website.

  • I have the Allview x1soul/Gionee Elife e6 for 6 weeks now.. I was a litle sceptic at the begining i admit to say but after all this time i discovered that its an excellent phone. Bought it from Romania as new and gave up at my Samsung S2 for this one. It moves really well in apps and games .. Camera takes nice pics especially in day light .. Display revealls better colours and viewing angles than my ex S2 I9100 ..and the new improved battery lasts an list 24 h of a busy day work with wifi on all tine, games and some pics taken . I even dropped it accidentally and bend it on a corner but the plastic i quite strong and protects well the display ..... The fall was in the house from 1,5m hight on a marble floor. Excelent phone !!

  • It's a semi romanian phone. It was made in China, but the UI Android was customized by Allview ( Romania- Brasov City ). A very good phone. The sound and the camera are exceptional on this phone compared to Nexus 5.

  • This is not a Romanian made phones. It's a chinese phone. From the answers I got below this post it seems it's gionee elite e6(google it).All that Allview does it's to go to a chinese phone manufacturer(like Gionee),make a large order of phones(5-10000 pieces) and tells them instead of Gionee logos and sigantures to put Allview signatures and logos.Simple as that.Allview,Evolio,Eboda and others do that. They don't manuacture phones, they re-brand chinese phones. They don't have a manufacturing facility that costs billions of dollars at least.

  • This is the best Romanian smart phone ever. Well, they had to copy someone, but I think this is a good device. The battery should be a little bit bigger, and everything would be OK.

  • it's called gionee elife e6

  • I really like the fact that this brand came to gsmarena. It have a lot of work before arrive here. I like this phone i like this company. All phones i had saw and experienced was good. A good company with good phones :)

  • i think its gionee :D

  • I believe the original model is Gionee E6

  • This is awkward.I thought I would never saw this Romanian company that re-brands Chinese phones.Anyone knows what this phone is originally?
