Motorola Moto Z3 Play - User Reviews

  • The Moto Z3 play is good for a mid range phone. The gorilla Glass design on the phone makes it look rich and elegant. The as Lim design is good. For me I love the dark blue color it only comes on. It the individual taste for this phone . I have the JBL mod speaker and the projector mod that is great for presentation. I also got the turbo charge battery pack that make my phone last for 5 days. The projector mod is great if you have kids. You can watch movies anywhere, like hotel room , camping ,or just at home watch a good movie at night with your family. Love if they made a keyboard mod making it into a small lap top computer style. It will be all in one smart phone that can do everything I need. Look at people buying game station and attachment for them. They do not mind buying them. Do people like the Moto z family will not mind buying attachent for them either. Just attract the baby boomers to make money for the Moto family of phones. I recommend this midrange phone. For it feels like the best high end mid range phone in a good price range. And the ability to do multi function with this phone with the mods. Like I said an all in one phone. You can be the judge. This is my own opinion on this phone. Hope I help out.

  • GSM arena states that information may not be 100% correct, and since Motorola doesn't advertise a radio, it probably doesn't have one.

  • It does not support FM radio no FM radio information available on user manual, no default app on phone.

  • FM Radio? Yes or No?

  • Excellent smartphone for the price today. Fast, and the Amoled display is way better than the default ones we find in the market... the snaps are cheaper today too, so it's worth to buy it. The only "con" is the phone jacket that's different from the normal P2. You have to use the adaptor (included in the original box) in order to use your phones. And what I like in this phone is that it's very thin, using with the snap protection.

  • I m considering buying the phone but don't be that paranoid , it's splashproof and even if it actually wasn't it would probably be 100% fine , if you're that paranoid , you could have dunked it in alcohol for good measure , it's a phone after all.

  • just bring service, they will apply jelly to absorb water and should be working fine. or apply hair drier (what I did to my friend phone gently, working fine after that). but apply jelly is better

  • idc if it is possible to reply to things on here or anything, but my moto z3 play got fully submerged in water for about 1 second and i was wondering if it is waterproof because i couldn't find any detail about it anywhere.

  • For this money 220 eur , i buyed today it is very good phone. Best for its price. In box I got power mod very good. Nice looking indigo blue.

  • FM radio? My 2019 Z3 don't. Class action lawsuit in the making.

  • - No headphone jack - Fingerprint sensor does not lock the phone and is on the right side where you cand touch it accidentally. -it has a glass back that can break very easily -camera quality is very poor

  • Yes, it is.

  • Is the dual sim version up-gradable to android 9?

  • Hi, It's several months later now and I received my moto Z3 Play a fee weeks ago.I am delight about it.!! It runs smooth, even fast I may say. Screen is beautiful, moto Actions are top! I bought a few Mods, JBL speaker, Instahare Projector, Hasselblad Camera, they are fantastic extensions!!!!! Here in the Netherlands the Moto Z3 Play costs about 300 US Dollars now, a Bargain! I am curious about your expieriences with the Z3 Play. Did it make your expectations come true?

  • After looking to both in hand, the MMZ3P has got a better premium feel but Xiaomi is getting there with some mobile phones too. To anyone who's interested on buying a Xiaomi, my top tip would be to make sure is an android one OS, it really makes a difference specially when comparing performance - like someone suggested here, even with better on the paper CPUs MIUI is going to make the phone look slower. About user UI looks and functionality is a matter of taste and that would be ridiculous to compare.

  • Yes, but both are supported via different moto mods.

  • The 5G mod functionality won't be a US Verizon network exclusive although was 1st announced that will be 1st sell at US VZ. The mod is a SD855, Battery and 5G antenna and should work on any 5G/LTE-A/LTE network worldwide. IMO from what it's announced at Motorola that it will be compatible with all Z3 (to give VZ the 1st 5G GSP title), followed by Z3 play, after with the Z2 line. No info on the original Z line nor on how it can work on different GSP but that for certain is to give contractual edge boost for VZ being able to claim the title of being the first to sell a mobile phone with 5G capability.

  • Yes, it supports 5G with a mod, but only on Verizon. (It's conceivable that other providers may wind up with their own 5G mods, but I see no suggestion of that from Motorola.) See

  • Its not a yesterday born company to sell smartphones for cheap

  • 5G proper infrastructure is not there and this guy wants 5G in a mid range phone .. lmao !!! .. talk about expectations !!!

  • S this device supports wireless charging.

  • Is it support 5g network

  • does it allow wireless charge?

  • when will it release in india

  • Dude, did you not see who I was replying to? You literally took the bait LOL.

  • you must be xiaomi marketing lol copy paste phone, only cheap because real cheap stuff, broke xiaomi's engine when drop it once, cheap and good only made by lenovo

  • so how is battery life?? How many hours does it work? with **LTE** **40 Percent brightness** with no power saving for browsing and use telegram or whatsapp Actually In normal work, apart from playing and taking pictures video plz tell me dude if you have moto z3 play now

  • Redmi N5Pro is a quality phone while your Moto z3 play is not. Look at where your headphone jack is.... oh that's right, you don't have one!!! i think you'll cry for the entire day. lol

  • That's why I purchase one of this. No one right?

  • Price is too high, Pocofone comes with SD845 but cost only 300USD, this is SD636 but price is 430EUR, no one gonna buy this phone.

  • Where is the review of this phone GSMARENA?

  • Moto z3 play is a quality phone while your red mi is not. download cpu-z app and compare your cheap red mi chipset specs compared to the moto z3 play. i think you'll cry for the entire day. lol

  • That is for the Verizon version. This is the GSM version.

  • Excellent phone. Downsides I see are: There is no headphone jack, Mods are expensive, and no wireless charging. Excellent specs for the phone and it also has good camera features such as Spot Color (Not for selfies :( ) and cinema graph. The mods look cool too. If I was to pick this phone, I would pick up either the camera mod or the gamepad mod.

  • same chipset like Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, but you could buy 2 RN5s for one Z3....and battery... Z3-3000mAh RN5-4000mAh

  • Not one mention of 5G here?

  • Wish it were a bit smaller, 156.5mm is too big. Would rather smaller like 148-150 max. Not for me.

  • IPS LCD is good enough instead of this expensive Amoled

  • Forgive them lord for they do not know what they're talking

  • This means that the deception is in question by Motorola or Lenovo, as it was in case of Moto Z. GSMarena has said it has FM radio, as well as many others ... The Moto Z2, though! Thanks, hello!

  • 500 dollars? I think it's very expensive, with a lower cost I can buy a Redmi Note 5, same processor, or a Mi Mix 2S, is better in anything. Motorola selling quality and bad desing with a high cost

  • What was the problem to increase the battery size to 4000 mAh when you have a 6.01"screen? Further in India there is no point releasing a mobile without 3.5 mm jack as on date! Wake up calls is regular for Moto nowadays post take over by Lenovo. Earlier Moto G6 & E5 plus for overall specs.

  • I am afraid not. If you look carefully at all the video reviews on the Internet, the app-list does not show any fm radio application, contrary to the previous Moto Z2 Play (I guess this might to be related to the lack of 3.5 jack plug, which acts as an antenna for radio reception). In addition, the official Motorola website does not mention the presence of any hardware fm chip. Unfortunately, most of the manufacturers do not care the demand of many users who appreciate having fm radio on their phone. This (bad) choice makes me stay with the Z2 Play, which is almost perfect phone.

  • Please stick to reviewing Moto Z3 play. This is not a forum for other phones.please stop being a marketing agent for other cheaper phones. I am using Moto Z2 play and it's one of the solid phone I have used.well built one. I am waiting for Honest reviews for Z3 play so I can consider one for a friend.

  • One more phone without ugly notch But it should have Qualcomm snapdragon 710

  • If you're an electronic engineer you can design your own mobile phone then. or else dont buy this one you can buy those cheap china phones out there that have so many bells and whistles.

  • Anything above 10 to 12 watts is usually considered quick charge

  • I mean, there's more reasons for that corded argument. You get the most accurate sound, though that's more for audiophiles. I'll try to stick with general consumer. The Sony WH1000X are amazing, but expensive. People often see the price tag and go "Nope!" To get the best Bluetooth, you have to pay a lot of money and there are worries about radiation and such.

  • Theres is people that still use corded headphones hehehehe PLEASE try one of the new BT dvices, I have mine 1 week last the battery and superbsound Sony WH-1000XM2, no regrets and no excuses, geeze!!!

  • so you're an electronic engineer and took part on the design of the mainboard of the Moto Z3 so you know for sure they wasted space they could've used with a phone jack

  • You can use the wireless ones that cost Rs 250 and operate on blue tooth

  • No headphone jack is a bummer on this phone. There is ENOUGH SPACE at the bottom to add this necessary feature. Geez, is Lenovo retarded or what for this midrange phone?!

  • Is 15w consider quick charge?

  • Does Moto Z3 have a factory-installed FM radio? They say that the Amazon version of the Moto z3 does not have FM radio, and for other Moto Z3 versions it does not know ... Can anyone, well informed, explain what is true? Thank you.

  • You can register more than just your right thumb on the device.

  • Did they forget about left-handed peeps in the world when they came up with the fingerprint scanner at the right side

  • Great phone and with certain motomods even better. For its price the phone is really excellent. At least Lenovo did a great job where many other brands just toying on the sand.

  • Blame Lenovo

  • In terms of being a regular smartphone, yes the 7 Plus is better. But this does come with a battery mod and you can get more mods, not to mention 7 Plus isn't available outside of As

  • Been using this phone for nearly 48 hours now and absolutely love it. The SD636 is no slouch and Moto's extras are awesome. Able to play PUBG mobile with no lag and can handle browsing and YouTube at the same time.

  • for the price, nokia 7 plus is faraway better !

  • Moto z3 play waste of money for High price. Z3 play is provide low camera quality, No OIS/EIS, Low PPI, Average Processor for multitask, In this price best quality mobile is OnePlus 6, Asus Zenfone 5Z, Honor 10...

  • Hump Everest

  • camera bump? more like camera mountain. damn.

  • At this price point why not a SD 660 and 5000 mAh battery? My last two phones have been Moto but Moto has really lost its way.

  • No comparison with 7 plus its leaps and bounds ahead of this, its beating s8+ exynos version in performance and all ,comparisons are posted on YouTube for that.really no comparison, looks, specs ,performance and majorly update cycles

  • Go with One Plus 6 or Honor 10

  • over priced Motorola has not had a game changer in 2 years for them and this just another regurgitation of the same ole stuff.. Im a fan but im still waiting for a turbo3

  • What does hugely better means to you? Just a better chipset and that's it? When you have both and you can compare them side by side, that's when you should judge. Specs don't mean anything.

  • I've never owned a Motorola phone, always saw them as too bulky. Even this one with minimal bezels is wider than my maximum which is 75 mm. I prefer to stay under 75 for ease of using one-handed but 75 is my outer limit. Look at the recent high end Galaxy phones, all with large displays but all well under 75 mm wide. This Motorola phone is 76.5 mm wide, typical of them to be bulkier than others. A bit long as well. Compactness is a big deal for me.

  • I just pre ordered this phone it looks amazing! I am a hardcore motorola fan my first phone was a cheap huawei then I went to the motorola moto x (1st gen) then a motorola nexus 6 (which I have been using as a daily driver since 2015) but now it is time for this guy. There is a really good offer if you consider getting this phone right now you can get the moto z3 play with the battery mod included in the box and you can also get a FREE Amazon Alexa speaker mod (which costs $150 and does NOT come in the z3 box) with your order in amazon. And, if you are an amazon prime user or if you just do the 30 day free trial of amazon prime you get a pretty great deal of $476 approx with taxes and of course free shipping. For me it is one heck of a deal I cannot wait to get my hands on it!!!

  • i'm excited for geting.

  • Exactly!!!

  • I'm also excited for this one. Let's see then... :)

  • At the end of the day it's a good phone, but it's clearly outclassed at this price point. I'm curious to see how well it'll perform, because in it's group you have Nokia 7 plus which is 320 euro right now although it released at the same price. You have the Xiaomi Mi 8 which is hugely better and cheaper and you have the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE which is still better and even cheaper and you have the OP6 which is vastly superior and very close to the price and the Nokia X6 is going global soon at much cheaper and similar specs so it'd be an interesting to see if it sells well. On the other hand if the rumor about a mod going in with the phone the price is clearly justified, but I guess we should wait and see.

  • There's no need to shame people that want the headphone jack. There's nothing wrong with wanting what you want. As long as there's a converter on the usb port that allows for a headset to be plugged in (and likewise will act as an antenna for the fm radio on this device) then all is good as far as I'm concerned.

  • When it comes to Indian market with a good price ..

  • Dude do you still want the headphone jack you are afraid of change

  • No 3.5mm Jack = Fail (For God's sake, there is enough space at the bottom for the jack to be included, disappointed that Motorola is shoving this "Jackless" feature to this mid-range phone which was bad enough for their high-end ones last year. Hope no other manufacturers pull a dick move like this on mid-range models. If Motorola ever comes out a mod that adds the jack, that means we must pay even more to have this necessity considering the phone is overpriced.) Price = Fail (Better brands at a lower price with the JACK included.)

  • On indiegogo there's a project that had realized a qwerty keyboard for moto Zx devices. It's really a good project but they had lots of problems because of Motorola; they were providing toooo slow support to develop that project and they aren't advertising this thing 1700mAh used to power the keyboard and extend the phone's battery too. Lenovo doesn't care about this phone and it's a pity! Why would they have removed the 3,5mm jack if not to keep sales down to stop to produce/change the Z phones line? How could users charge the phone and use headphones together? With bluetooth? it's ridiculous!

  • Hope this reach in the Philippines. I'm excited for this one. time to upgrade my moto z play. I;m excited for the SD 636. they say that its power efficient thats why this has 3k mah while my z play has 3.5k mah, let's see. I'm impressed by the moto z play cam and im looking for this new cam, let's see. most of all, I love the zero bloatware and stock android OS experience. I've been using motorola since, atrix 4g, droid RAZR, moto g2nd gen, moto x 2nd gen. wew!

  • My first phone was Motorola D520 in 1998/99, for the record. You're wrong !!! Cant sell something which cost 200 eur for 400 in 2018. Maybe for 250, because of the brand ! Chinese probably bought them in order to reduce their costs ! Motorola already takes extra money on mods !

  • What ive noticed on this site is that most people that has a lot of concern about the phone and price are those people that basically unable to afford this one, they keep comparing this to a nonsense phone that has a lower price tag that lacks of innovation and keep on copying from someone else. People if you cant afford this just shut up and start saving. If you cant afford this phone then stop throwing negative and incorrect information on this device.

  • Who cares?

  • The price is an epic fail for 1 reason. Xiaomi Mi 8 SE that's it, gives you better hardware, better camera, better display on a phone that costs 40% less. Was really excited about this and then Xiaomi hit back on the mid range and slaughtered the competition. And by slaughtered I do mean slaughtered. Literally nothing out there that isn't a flagship can offer anything remotely close to the Mi 8 SE. Not to say it's a perfect device (it has no 3.5mm jack and no NFC), but at 282$ for the 4/64GB version and 313$ for the 6/64GB version I mean come on it shoots 1080p at 120 fps and 4k at 60 fps and has EIS, I mean seriously at 280$ it's practically a steal and sure it's not android one, but then again it's 280$!

  • Absolutely right

  • Per Moto z3 official page slow motion video capture is there. The only thing I'm sceptical on is GSM bands. Z2 has boat load, but z3 has only a hand few? I don't think that's complete data.

  • Still using the old Gorilla Glass 3.. while other latest phones are using Corning Gorilla glass 5 The rear camera glass is still scratchable.. Missing Slow Motion Recording option as its predecessors .. 4K video recording @ 60 fps is still missing.. No OIS or EIS image stabilization technologies.. Still not able to Cast screen on Sony and any other Smart TVs

  • Yes. That's because, Lenovo P2 has 5100 mAh Battery + Snapdragon 625 processor + Super AMOLED Full HD Display... these are all power efficient...

  • I have P2 , my battery standard is high :)

  • Speakers on back side are unacceptable

  • No headphone jack, No Snapdragon 710.. This is a joke.

  • An old style.Low battery power.

  • Good phone, wrong price. Almost same price as OnePlus 6. I would buy this if it was $100 cheaper.

  • Sd636 500$ I'll pass nokia 7 plus SD660 399$

  • SD 636 is power efficient. 3kmah is enough for a day use. I'm also a fan :)

  • Man, this phone is just 7mm slim & just 150g. A man purchasing phones after visiting a shop should be impressed with the feel of the phone

  • Lenovo Z5 $120 Moto Z3 play $450. . For AMOLED, Mod support & Gorilla glass, need to play $300 more?

  • Design is superb but specs are low. cam - no eis/ois , must buy mod Batt - must buy mod soc - other give us better soc for the price... I am MOTO fan but .......

  • At least SD 660 is considerable in Z3 Play

  • Camera quality is very worst compare with other

  • Dear people its Motorola world most famous brand. The brand which started the era of cell phones back in 1972 when its Co-Founder Martin Cooper and his team unveiled first cell phone Daytona. Motorola will be always best. Always innovative and Motomods is something really remarkable which noone else have.

  • I noticed that many complained about the battery life of this phone. but no one complained about iphone x 2716 mah. I you dont like motorola then go to iphone. lol

  • 2200 mah model comes with a phone, 3500 mah model sells for $60 right now, and you can find it cheaper from time to time.

  • Why not Snapdragon 710?

  • Snapdragon 636 Moto Mod Battery Pack, Naw Son. This isnt a power hungry phone. It should be fine

  • Moto Mods are not free, they are pricy, with the total money I can buy a much better phone, Perhaps a Nokia 7 Plus

  • Why not? I like this idea.

  • Oh cool! A new Motorola Z phone! *checking on the specs* *scroll* *scroll* No headphone jack. Okay! Not interested in it anymore.

  • Disappointed !

  • That's not a good idea

  • 3000mAh? I pass

  • You can add Moto powerpack and add additional 3500 mah for a total of 6500 mah, if 3000 is not enough for you.

  • come on motorola a snapdragon 636? put a snapdragon 660 ...

  • agreed. I like to take my phone on long road trips (4+hrs) listening and talking via wired hands-free headsets (3.5mm phone jack) while keeping my phone charged via USB. the 3.5mm jack is a matter of practicality

  • I agree with you but the battery is very important for users. Other features can be reduced. Note that in the past years the battery was good and excellent for a large percentage of the Motorola equipment. Now it has become somewhat neglected.

  • Your words are true and I am actually better than the old Motorola if the company developed these models I think was a better achievement than the current one Moto X force droid turbo Moto x Moto X Play droid razr Moto X style droid max

  • Because its marketing trick. When you have a device which selling point is display or soc, you lower other aspects such as battery so they have a back up selling point for next year phone if say soc is same.

  • Apart from the odd bit here and there how is this any different to the moto g6 plus

  • Who would buy this if there is phones like Nokia 7 Plus at lower price with much better service and software support, if someone is buying this for mods then mods are not cheap. After purchasing few mods it will cost same as any flagship. Then why buy this? Moto is useless in giving updates.

  • See the LG V30, it has 3300 mah, wireless charging, 6 inch screen and only weighs 158g

  • @black it have a lower Mah battery because it wants you to buy the MODS!! plus if you make the battery bigger it would become heavy, it makes attaching the MODS weight a TON.

  • How do Motorola manage to make such a big screen phone and it only weigh 156g and still have a 3000mAh battery?

  • Another fail from moto. No 3.5mm jack. Bye bye moto

  • moto x play 5,5 3630mh motoz play 5,5 3510 mh motoz play2 5.5 3000 mh motoz play3 6.1 3000 mh !!!!!!!!whyyyyyyyyyy

  • It has small battery. Every year they put the same 3000 mAh capacity. They should increase it a little bit, when the screen goes this huge. This should have a 3500 mAh at least.

  • This looks great but..considering the price point it was not that great...It will be priced around $500...so you can get a oneplus 6 for it. If it was priced within $350 to $400 then it will be a great device.......bcoz devices like redmi note 5 pro and zenfone max pro has the same SD 636 and the price of the devices are half of the price of moto z3 play. Price matters....So the device will be recognized based on how it is priced. Other than price the device itself looks very good....This is my opinion

  • Request check if it actually has FM radio, since most smartphones without jack lack an antenna to get the signals.

  • 6 inch phone with 3000 mah battery.. i think super amoled saves little battery and advanced kryo cores, NOT enough for full day usage watching youtube and playing games.

  • A bigger battery is more important than the thickness. No problem with 8mm thickness but a smaller 3000 mAh battery is a problem. 4000 mAh would have been perfect 👌

  • This phone is looking very nice.Great color and nice fingerprint position. The Z2 play is a great device but love this z3 play more due to the back glass, fingerprint position and the color too.Motorola is really stepping to the final side this tim

  • everything have a reason. They reduced it because it will suit the phone more better to perform

  • Yes the moto z3 and z3 play is coming out soon but there is one more phone that should come out later this year with the same name that should beat all. The z3 force will come out to and Motorola guaranteed at least one phone from the z series to have sd845 which is likely the z3 force and if it's anything like the rest of the z forces in the series then it should provide that little bit of umph everyone is expecting this is only out of hearing about it and Motorola has stated that there will be 3 z3 phones this year so I'm just gonna sit back and watch while I get money to pay off my current phone and pray to God that Motorola provides

  • A higher power processor with a lower clock speed provides the same kind of performance with little actual drop in how fast it truly runs

  • It went from 4 [email protected] +4 [email protected] to 4 [email protected] +4 [email protected] so it's an improvement.

  • Looks great.. nice color

  • not fall it comes with an attachment for one so yes it has is just not built on to the phone

  • Why did the clock speed become lower? from 2.2 to 1.8Ghz

  • My dearest best quality enthusiasts.By adding RDS and infrared , it will be the best midrange of 2018_ 19 happily without the ugliest hybrid ! And unfortunately I have no access to other information beside GSMAreas specifications here.If any time I get it by chance , I will write customer satisfaction comment. Also mentioning that India has the best commentators and reviewers worldwide....Justice Rights writes nothing but moral guidelines criteria....Thanks all+GSMArena....

  • +1

  • LMAO

  • This phone does not have a camera bump, it has a camera volcano.

  • Would have waited for this phone only if it would have given 660sd for better gaming plus 6gb with 128gb storage. It would have been beast in this segment. Plus no 3.5mm is also a huge drawback. With such a price they give sd636 with 64gb storage it is shame. I also love moto for providing us with amoled screen but it cant hide other important factors that lack in this phone.

  • Well we have to wait for final release until then its a pure speculations. But i really hope they will make X5 along with Z3 Force and add shaterproof protection. Also they should made a mod which would give IP69k plus MIL STD-810 or higher,

  • Small battery life. I remember the original Play had a smaller screen, and bigger battery capacity.

  • No, because of the mods compatibility need a bit modified or additional software

  • I saw the picture, and no audio jack? but the specs said it has one??

  • Will it have Android ONE ?

  • Price will be about 500 €.

  • hey motorola! we want snapdragon 660 instead weaker 636! and at least 3500mAh battery+ stereo or powerboost sound and suppouse camera will be from flagship Z3 force

  • why instead 636 is not there much better snap 660? and i would love to have also 128gb version (hope it will be in final) and stereorepro

  • An AMOLED midranger. 👍 My next phone

  • There are actual pictures online of this phone. I believe its been released in India. It seems pretty accurate based on the photos I saw. Except for the audio jack... there isn't one.

  • I agree with you. I own at the moment Moto Z Play and have the camera, 2 projectors (1 for spare just in case the main one burns out; I use it every night few hours) and battery mod. To be honest, I only used the battery mod 2 times because I hardly needed it. So, for me was a waste of money buying battery mod. I am also planing to change to the Z3 Play or Force depends the battery they will have.

  • i prefer stock android

  • please remove that false info, there's no 3.5mm headphone jack...

  • Does it have a 128gb model and also why 636 they should have given 660 with improve camera pixels and functions

  • Imho lenovo/moto realised they have made a mistake in putting large battery into first Z Play, because who then needs a motomod- battery? Anyway, I will definitely buY a Z3, either Play Or Force..

  • Agree, I also wish it had 3510mAh battery like the first Z Play, but that ia a pipe dream at this point. Also, I wish they keep the ingeniuos two-sided SIM tray so that you can have a microSD card AND two nano-SIMs (no SIM extender-adapter silliness and hybrid-compromises). Assuming the price is no more than 499eur (preferably 399eur at most to match Nokia 7 Plus pricing) and the 6GB variant will come to Europe, then this is ALMOST perfect phone and I will definitely consider getting one.

  • dream comes true... amOLED, notch, full display enough power wish, price right nd have that shatter proof display.

  • This better have a headphone jack and be priced right since the G6 Plus is not coming out in the U.S.

  • Samsung TouchWiz is definitely one of the worst, right ahead of Huawei.

  • Nooooooooooooooo!

  • Just make an interface similar to LG or Samsung, and i will buy it.

  • It will be sd636. It'll be a really worth while phone if they don't try selling it for the same price as phones with sd835 or sd845. It's mostly used as a gimmick for Verizon in the US to say, "hey, it's not as expensive as the flagship phones - ?" But you can find them 2nd hand on swappa unlocked at a price that makes sense (a little more and sometimes cheaper than the equivalent moto g generation). The SD 636 is so much better than the SD 630, it'll be worth it to get one second hand for the same price as the g6+ brand new.

  • This would be a wonderful phone to have!!!!!!!!

  • Where is my new HASSELBLAD module ? please...

  • They just changed the design. The actual position of the connections to the pins are in the same place. Saying this with my Moto Z Play in hand and looking at it's back connectors.

  • I find the protrusion useful as I can put my finger against it to provide support when holding the phone. Kind of replaces the old Moto dimples

  • Does anyone realize that this is just a concept for now, nearly nothing shown above will reflect the actual phone. The side mounted fingerprint reader will be pretty useful however.

  • Umm, why did they change the Mod’s pins? They promised to be same on 3 generations Moto Zs

  • 660 would be more than good enough too. Such an underappreciated chip (works wonders in Mi Note 3).

  • Power button Finger print sensors should be the norm

  • Snapdragon 670 or 640 should be awesome along with more than 3400 mAh battery!

  • Moto please change your mod setup, no want like camera bump at the back

  • It probably still has to fit the Moto Mods so that's why there's the huge camera bump

  • Looks better with small bezels Pls put sd670 on it & 4000mAh battery

  • Looks better with small bezels Pls put sd670 on it & 4000mAh battery

  • Damn the front logo. Stupid design.

  • I like Motorola mobile.....now I happy ..bcs Motorola name is on the front....good dsn.....

  • Judging from the picture, the Z3 Play will have lesser bezels but it still has the same shape and dimensions for Moto Mods backwards compatibility. The Z series are doomed once they change the design (losing backwards compatibility) and even retaining that design just like Sony's OmniBalance (stale design).

  • Well this is definitely rumored phone theres is practicaly no info about :-)

  • bezelesse screen yet the camera still protrudes...a lot
