Why not the OnePlus 7 Pro? In dxomark it's cameras scores higher than the s10+, while having much better software that makes it run way better, a significantly better display, (1440p, no hole, 90hz) and battery life better than the s10, all while costing less.

I was like you a few years back. Before i buy iPhone 7. Endless cycle of Androids. Always looking at specs and comparing the endless camera, screen, benchmarks.. Sometimes changing 2 phones a year, selling one at a loss and buying the next. At first it was restricting. But slowly i grow my Apple products, apps i like, watch, airpods, ipads, making my iPhone more enjoyable. I dropped my telco plan last year, sim only. I no longer chase the latest mobiles. And now i look forward to 2020 iPhones, which i will buy full price without telco plans.. If it does not impress me, so be it, i will wait again.. maybe go for a 69$ battery change, don't look like my iPhone is giving up anytime soon.

Since u r using android I will recommend u to go for s10 I have purchased note 10 and using it for a month and really loving it.....before purchasing i was confused too like u between iphone 11 and note 10. I visited both samsung smartcafe and apple store to see the live display of both phones and their cameras too...but honestly i didn't feel much difference in camera section.....u will be getting 3 lens at rear on s10 but on xr u will be having single lens.....and for selfie cam u will not regret after buying s10 it can produce exceptional shots both front and rear cameras.. And if u see the display of s10 u won't be looking back at xr But both the phones are good now it is upto u what u will be going for android or ios

Of all the phones you suggested. XR's camera is not really rival that of S10. But its 12mp shooter is not bad either. Camera to me have reached a stage so good, that any new improvement is not much, and can be tweaked by tons of apps on iOS or android. Better invest in a smart watch. rather then a new phone. So you can place your phone on a floor, take group pictures better with the back facing camera, and triggering from your wrist. Of course its gonna be tough for you if you pick the apple route, a new iPhone and watch.. most likely will break your bank. But in the long run, its worth it.. apple watch have tons of apps integration, and a great camera remote app. But it lacks one feature.. toggle from the various modes using the watch. for instance from picture to video, you need to use your phone. Going Android would be better, wait for a phone + watch deal. get it cheap.. But the apps are far and few between. The quality is not as integrated like iOS.

I have just changed up from an s8 to an s10. Whilst the s8 was good the s10 somehow manages to make the s8 feel old and inferior and has an even better display. The s8 actually feels a little dull against the s10 and the new facial recognition works perfectly. My wife has an ph11 and my display is far superior.

I purchased an s10 3 weeks ago and my wife purchase an iPhone11 at the same time. They are both good although the display on the s10 is superior. Neither of us has used the camera yet so unable to comment on that. Your decision may come down to whether you prefer android of ios.

S10, if you are invested in android platform. But if you are afraid of the fingerprint issue, it would better if you settle for Note 9 or S10e. Both have relatively good biometric unlock, with 9 being the better one because its jack of all biometrics. Note 9 intelli scan, which combine iris scanning and normal face scanning is bad at low light, fingerprint scanning.., S10E fingerprint is on the power button. 11 have no issue when it comes to biometric, it can scan in low light, it can scan at angle, and fast when compared to Note 9 scanning. Not much in performance, S10 and 11 are blazing fast.. Both can play the latest games with no issue. Both have good display, Both have the irritating notch / punch holes. S10 excel at low light dim place usage, 11 have "thick bezels" (compared to other bezel less phones lol) to hide the fact of the LCD screen might have light bleeding. Screen protectors you need to be careful with S10, because of the under screen scanner. Some of the seller will purposely have a circular hole, so you can use the fingerprint properly. 11 have no such issue, and you can get S10E to avoid this all together. And if you come from S8 (not the plus model), 11 and S10 will have higher battery life. With 11 being much better. S10 can expand until 1.5TB.. But unlikely you will buy the 1TB sd card.. but a good investment if you plan to use android for long long time. And of course Dex mode. But since your previous phone is android, it will be a shock to switch. So in summary: 1. Display S10 2. Camera 11 3. Biometric 11 4. Apps S10 (For you) 5. Battery life 11 6. Storage Options S10 7. Performance 11

iPhone have greater max storage options. Pixel you will be paying a premium for the price in android world. Harder to get accessories for Pixel, due to its rarer to find. Most people who think of pixel rather sink their money into other android makers due to the lack of slots, lack of storage options and price. I can hardly recommend pixel.. other then the fact is it nearly matches iOS in terms of updates.

Im gonna second you as i switched from android to this phone. and trust me the app optimization and camera (specially portraits) are far better than S10+. Also if you see the camera comparison of IPHONE 11 VS PROs you will find no difference at all (except 2x zoom, which i hardly use) Battery life is almost like any android with a 4000 mah battery. I am coming from S10+ and hardly find any difference in both's battery life.

Possible consideration; However Pixel is still on pre-order status, you have to trust the reviewer's words. You can get an iPhone 11 right now, you can test it in the store now. And he narrowed it to 3 phones. Of those 3 phones, only 11 meet all 3 criteria. And of course, his old phone is iPhone, so if he switches to Android, he will have to invest in the new platform also. And of course you intend to use for 3 years, iOS is ideal for that. 11's battery life rivals that of flagship androids. Camera is on par with the list provided. The issue of course, is Price. But you will not be disappointed since Price is not in your consideration.

Buy 11 64 if you care so much for camera.. Then again, if you take photos / videos constantly, 64GB is a pain.. unless you have a NAS or cloud to store your stuff. Buy XR 128 will have poorer results in terms of video / photo. But you have space for the photos and some for apps / games. 11 have improved faceID. Scan faster and at angle. Tougher (clamed by Apple) being more dust / water resistant. And seems to sound better, tested on the store. And of course, 11 have better battery life over XR. So if you care little for storage, everything on the cloud, don't game. Then 11 is the best choice. But XR gives you more storage and NOT that bad compared to 11.

I would actually prefer the iPhone 11 screen over the one on the iPhone X, but I do not think he should upgrade. There has not been enough improvement to justify a switch. iPhone X is using PenTile matrix which means that although the resolution is better, the screen is not much sharper than that of iPhone 11. Moreover the iPhone X is using pulse width modulation, which could be an issue for some people.

I think you should. The faster processor, better cameras, better battery life, extra gigabyte of RAM, and other things make this a good buy. You get a noticeably worse screen (its bigger, but has lower resolution (the same pixel density as the 6-8), and it's LCD instead of OLED), but its not too bad. You'll also be giving up the telephoto camera for an ultra-wide angle camera. If these trade-offs sound fair, go ahead. You can also trade-in your iPhone X and get the 11 for $350 (and that's for the 128GB model).

The thing is.. iPhone aged well. Unlike Android phones. Now running nearly 4 straight years with a iPhone 7. I still have no incentive to change. And thanks to iPhone, i broke free of my telco 2 years plan endless upgrades. Bought apple watch, enable wireless carplay on my car. I think most just buy Apple watches.. apple tv.. home pod.. airpods, while waiting longer for upgrades. So the sales of iPhone is dropping.

I haven't seen the video yet, but after reading an article detailing it, it seems that the issue with the iPhone 11 Pro Max is RAM management issues on iOS 13. From what the article said, opening apps the first time is an easy win for the iPhone, but opening them again goes to the Note. So once you remember to not be stupid and close the apps you're not using (which shouldn't be an issue for most people), the iPhone should be easily faster than the Note. Here's the article:

That's not the point. Look at the second paragraph. This professional reviewer has no problem watching a show on Netflix with this "bad screen". If that's the case, then the low resolution can't be that much of a problem. Average user will probably not notice the low resolution because Apple deliberately is tricking them. For example, Apple is using a 828p resoultion although that is nonsense - 720p or 1080p would only make sense in this case. The reason why they went with 828p is that because of the little more, but mostly useless pixels (compared to 720p), the pixel density is looking slightly better. Making it harder for people to notice how cheap the screen actually is. Moreover, I dont know if that really is true, but many people told me that on iPhone XR / iPhone 11 it is sometimes possible to select 1080p option on YouTube videos - although the device hardware is not capable of displaying it properly. Apple is making their phone look better to the average customer than it actually is.

Actually, coming from an Android user, I can objectively say that the iPhone 11 isn't a bad buy. To be fair, you can probably get a better (spec wise) Android phone for the same price, but you're not getting that long term backing or the resellability. You're also getting probably the best battery life in probably any smartphone right now. Apple's optimazation is also phenomenal, and updates come in pretty fast too. So instead of being a biased android diehard, be more objective and open minded.

Nope. Xiaomi have one of the highest. But still less then 2W per kg. To worry about SAR on mobile is silly to say the least. There’s a greater source, Wifi routers, bluetooth devices, smart devices. iPhone is the king of all smartphones. They created the most advance device using the latest premium parts. You can see always on the website, people refurbish iPhones with third party parts. The effect is always subpar, lousy. The unknown customer with refurbish iPhones tends to know nothing.. and blame Apple for locking the features of their phones, calling it anti-consumer, or anti repair. But fact is you can see the third party parts, they are crap, and the reason they can sell you cheaply. Do not buy refurbish iPhone from unknown sources. I am on the latest iOS and have never experienced any bugs or issues. And I am not trying to promote Apple in any case- the device is expensive for what it is. I have the iPhone 11 for one week now and can safely say this is THE BEST device I have ever owned. My Android main phone is Huawei P20 Pro which is blazing fast and have never lagged or crashed since Day 1, but the iPhone is on another level. Cannot really tell any difference between the 1080p OLED on my Huawei and the 720p+ LCD on the iPhone. The display is bright, vivid and colors are great. The camera on this thing is amazing as well. Man, those portrait shots ! I have been Apple hater for years and decided just to try a new iPhone and I am really surprised. So, my advice would be, if you have never owned an iPhone, don't blindly follow trend and hate on those devices. Sure, the price is steep, got it for 800 euro here, but the quality is just stunning. The battery life is better than that on my P20 Pro, which is already amazing. The speakers are better too, loud, clear and rich. I am extremely happy with this device and would highly recommend it to all people looking for a flagship that would not break their bank. Don't judge the device only by the spec sheet, go to the nearest store and check it out, it's really worth it !

Also, the iPhones still using separate (QC/Intel) modem chips so they tend to be heating faster and emmiting stronger SAR level than android phones. Most androids are using integrated modem built-in SOC chips, safer and cooler.

Own this phone for a week now, I actually don't mind the screen resolution despite I also use an Android smartphone with 1080p display, of course someone will think that the screen is bad by looking at the numbers. For me, it is still looks sharp to my eyes unless I put the screen really close to my face. The battery life is good for a phone with 3000+ mAh capacity, I can easily makes this a 2 days phone with light gaming and medium daily use (power saving mode off) and part of it thanks to the less than 1080p LCD display. The performance is really good thanks to that A13 chip, quick app install, opening an app or switching between apps is a breeze. But the camera is another story, the image quality looks so bad on the ultra-wide angle shot, it is like oil painting when zoom in to see the details, the normal wide shot still good. The only problem I'm facing right now is the eSIM intermittent ran into signal drop, hope this issue can be fix on software update.

The iPhone XS Max has a bigger screen, much better screen resolution, an OLED screen (instead of LCD), a telephoto camera, and 2 more gigabytes of RAM. This is the basic comparison. Pick whichever one suits your needs better.

I don't see the need or wants for fast charge. phone already last damn long. Once at home while sleeping just charge slowly. Long journeys, just bring a fast charge power bank. The only reason i can see for fast charge, is no enough sockets at home or work place and you forgot to charge no power bank also, you gonna have the socket for yourself for 5 mins only. No choice, fast charge is the only way.

I am currently using Iphone 6 which i bought last december 2015. It is already 4 years old and the screen is turning purple already. I can say it will be a good upgrade to buy a new Iphone 11.. I think it's so cute that people think it's a budget screen. It's one of the best, if not the best LCD screen in the world on a smartphone, and OLD is not BETTER, it's just different. Myself I prefer LCD due to the fact that you get less delay, no black smear in low light, more natural color representation and less strain on the eye. I sure hope that they will keep an LCD version until there's something better, OLED is garbage unless you're after the pitch blacks and the more vivid synthetic unrealistic colors.

Like last year, the iPhone XR launched with a retail price of 950 euro!!! Insane. That is even more expensive than the iPhone XS in America. That’s pretty much the case with any phone, but Apple products are always even more expensive.

Actually is more like 828p and $699 and yes it's also LCD not amoled. Why they can get away with this seems very simple, if you are a new customer and you clearly don't know or care nothing about phone specs or tech in general, you see the phone you like it, it works nice, price is fine as you are high income, done deal. Now if you are upgrading from an older iphone pretty much this is your ONLY option short of jumping to android, getting an older iphone or going for the $999+ pro versions.

So I was checking out the LG G6 specs because that is my current phone, and I wanted to compare it to the iPhone 11 to see what I would be getting by "upgrading" to it, because I miss the iOS ecosystem, iOS is simply magical. But COME ON! This phone only has a 828x1792 resolution LCD display whereas my current 2 year old LG G6 has an amazing 1440x2880 resolution LCD display (amazing for LCD technology that is). The 2017 LG G6 has the same 4 GB of RAM that the 2019 iPhone 11 has. The LG G6 has a 3300 mAh battery while the iPhone 11 has a 3046 mAh battery. The LG G6 has a 5.7" display while the iPhone 11 has a 6.1", which let's be real, if that notch wasn't there and it was just a flat bar across the top of the screen like the LG G6 has, it'd be basically the same screen size. I think Apple makes that notch design so they can boast about a supposedly bigger screen since screen size is measured diagonally, hence the notch with the corners of the display extending all the way to the top of the phone. The LG G6 has a 13 MP camera while this iPhone 11 only has a 12 MP camera. Wow, oh wow, am I glad I did my research. It's a shame too, I really wanted an iPhone.

The phone has only one defense.. it has iOS. Nobody has it. To know the difference b/w iOs n Android go and ask around how many android users keep their screen in auto rotate. Since you're going to use it for years, i'd recommend picking iPhone since Apple supports their device for 4-5 years. Camera quality is good and does a really good job if you're going to use it for Instagram since it is very optimised for iOS. I'm an Apple user myself and I must said that it has been a great experience overall

Totally agreed. I have android phone, Xiaomi (with the good spec on the paper) and also have old iPad (not good spec on the paper). I feel better user experience in the IOS than android. I don't need to clean the temp. file regularly, faster browsing (even the smaller RAM), great for audio video needs, receive OS update for long period. Not like my Xiaomi phone that often laggy, many bugs, and receive android update only once.

Well, dual camera, improved IP68, and the A13 are simply awesome, but... it has a battery capacity of much smaller S10e for example. I know it's optimized better, but it also has bigger LCD display instead of AMOLED. Another dealbreaker is the screen resolution, you can't even do social media at full quality, and if you like to watch YouTube - you'll be disappointed. Still no USB-C. No dual SIM or SD slot, no headphone jack... and the list of compromises goes on.

Personally imo the OP 7 Pro is much better value for money. You may say it sucks because it’s an Android, but honestly it doesn’t, it’s actually a really snappy device. It has a 1440p 90 hrz Amoled display, no notch, and a flagship grade snapdragon 855. It feels faster than any android phone I’ve ever used, and, since oneplus is, well, oneplus, you can expect a good 3-4 years of good usage.

No, not really. iPhone 11 is 828p so it is impossible to watch legit 1080p on it. Maybe it is possible to select the 1080p option on YouTube, but that would only mean that 1) the phone is blatantly lying to you, or 2) the phone is upscaling a 720p video or 3) the phone is downscaling a 1080p video. I am watching 1440p videos on my phone all the time so I would guess that having the option to at least watch something in 1080p could be important.

It's stupid that the XR is 75.7mm with a screen width identical to a 5.2" 16:9 display. The Galaxy J5 2017 has much smaller side bezels with a width of 71.5mm. Kinda embarrasing. Other than that, there isn't much else to complain about.

Better video. Better selfie camera. If only they could bring a fingerprint sensor and a linear rear camera design. And if you are sticking with such a big notch anyway, learn from pixel and bring back the bezel with motion sensor. Pixel is going to disappoint in its own ways. Removing fingerprint sensor, not upgrading chipset and a 6.23 display only. I will just get the OP7t with 90hz display.

The specs are quite literally the best on the market. The A13 is MILES ahead of the SD 855, and will be faster than the 865 or 875 most likely. The GPU was already insanely better than any other GPU on the market and they improved it even more. Apples chips are 2 generations ahead of other chips, look up benchmarks. It also has the same cameras as the 11 apart from the tele, which will probably be the best camera on the market. Insane value for only $700. This model will be a top seller no doubt.
