Lot's of issues with the rear camera (vertical lines on one and flickering image on the other). Way to much money for what it's worth, My Huawei View 10 has a better camera, more battery stamina, a good cpu/graphics and the OS upgrades don't come with extra bugs (eg. IOS 13.x)

In March , i buyed iphone 7 Within a month Phone started freezing but fixed after resetting . Apps get hanged , becomes unresponsive , overheating and now hotspot isnt working . How about something like galaxy s9? Iphone 7 and A70 costs around 400$ brand new. Nowadays for around 450$ you'll be able to find a brand new galaxy s9. I think it'll be a much better choice. Well comparing these 2, I'd lean towards the A70 because of the versatility it brings to the table like the ultrawide camera. And arguably A70 has a better display and a battery life. Iphone 7 isn't bad by any means. Go with it if you prefer ios over android. But in late 2019 and for 400$, it seems there are better valued opponents in the Android world.

If you're purchasing brand new, Pixel 3a and iphone 7 retails for almost the same price now. Iphone 7 will only receive 2 more major updates including ios 13. I have been using iphone for past couple of years but iphone 7 was my last and worst iphone experience. Now i have bought Huawei honor 10 and its 100 times better then iphone 7. After using iphone 7 for one year i had a no signal issue with my iphone which the apple admitted it was a factory fault with iphone 7 model and they agreed to fix the issue but when i gave them my iphone after two weeks they said i am not eligible for a free fix and they cannot fix it and also refused to fix it even if i paid. Apple never fix user issues they only want you to buy new iphone. So now i switched to huawei honor 10 and really happy with the switch to android. Never going to buy apple shit anymore.

exactly my dilemma. Been going back and forth for months trying to be economical but maximize my specs. Its hard with apple. And I'm not sure how safe it is to buy from ebay, amazon, swappa etc. with all the refurbs and dodgy stuff out there. I'm literally so tired from this. Aluminum body is solid, 3d touch and home button (for me like having a "button" for control when device screen starts going awry) I looked at so many phones including androids like Samsung and Google (not sure about Xi and Huaw) as well which seem equally pricey and dicey and the screen format felt odd and I was worried I wouldn't adapt to the shift well. Plus feel genuinely appalled at Apple's price-gouging behaviors

Have you used an iphone before? Do you have a laptop? You can't download torrents if you go with the iphone (well you can jailbreak of course, but it's a different story) If you're using Netflix or some app available for ios to download movies, that's alright i guess. The phone itself is pretty good. Snappy, good camera, nothing bad with the display but spec wise, it's 4.7inch 326ppi compared to a larger display wuth 403 ppi on A50. I think you should do some digging, compare tool on gsmarena.com, some reviews about the devices, performance comparisons, camera comparisons will certainly help. In the end you'll have to stick with whatever you bought for at least a year i guess. So go with the one you love.

Agreed :) Resale value is high due to the fact that Apple keeps supporting their device more than 5 years and they never drop the prices of their brand new phones. If it's launched at 1000$,it'll more likely stay the same for a long long time, at least until a new device launches. In samsung department, their devices launch at Apple's price tag and reach even below OnePlus territory within a couple of months, which is not bad, but it's kinda unfair to those who pre-order and buy their devices at launch.

Apple is handsdown king of longevity, this device came in 2016 and still supported by apple, and most probably would get iOS 14 too. whereas my S7 Edge software support is discontinued by samsung at Oreo didn't even give Pie update to S7 Edge. second thing is apple devices hold amazing resale value, even after years you get instant resale and good price, whereas samsung devices lose value drastically, i bought S10 plus two months ago at 900 USD and its already at 700 USD. i am lifelong Samsung user but recently i am disappointed in Samsung/Android. For Dual sim purpose i have to keep a Samsung device too along with an iPhone. Go for Apple.

It depends on your usage. If you using cassually, just use iPhone 7 because it has better battery life although it has smaller battery. If you often use heavy task, ie. gaming, use A8 Plus because it has better performance.

Both are pretty good phones. You'll be fine with any of the duo. I think, battery life and camera-wise S8 is the better one. iphone has a classic design which still looks nice. Iphone 7 will probably receive software updates till 2021 and on S8, you'll have to stick with Android P. Choice is yours. Go with whichever you like. Both are good smarts phones

No, I wouldn't say a specific phone to be exact, but it may or may not come out on 2019 generations. iPhone 7's and 8's and maybe even X's probably won't be able to support 5g in general anyway until Apple decides to release that tech. They always let other companies experiment and take the fall, observe, learn, and recreate it without problems. The late 2020 iPhone apparently will have 5g, so I guess there's your answer.

sincerely, it depends on your usage, iphone 7 is more classy and feels rigid and straight, but if you like super Amoled screen and fast charging and compact budget smartphone now adays ok go for samsunsg s8, but about dark mode it is only available in Android Pie OS and you should wait a lil to get this update, Android Pie has many features that rare ppl notice, besides the notifications style change and dark mode and Android One.. you will have a feature that allow your smartphone changes its mac address randomley which is good for some users for security but in the end iphone 7 is better for a moderate user.. anyway as you like you can ask me any question concerning these two smartphones.. thank you

I would like to express my opinion more detailed according to my personal experience, I currently own Samsung S8 and its battery is fine because I don't use it for games or youtube, and what is very nice is the fast charging battery, so I will not feel the torture of battery draining like other smartphones.. according to iphone 7 I have never held iphone but I believe it is the best iphone because it is very nice in hands and classy ios according to notifications and way of its settings but it doesnt support fast charging (no problem because I will not use this smartphone as a computer for a long time).. ok before the samsung S8 I have bought Lenovo smartphone I forgot its model but its battery was very strong, but what I hated in it is that its camera was not nice and after using it for more of three months the telephone starts popping up adv, notifications so I got rid of it, in the end, as a smartphone.. now best is Samsung s8 because it still rocks with me, galaxy note 9 nearly perfect smartphone, and iphone 7 or 8 because of its classy device and finger print button.. :)

That means if an android device and an ios device had the exact similar battery capacity iphone has a higher chance of lasting a bit longer. In this case, a user needed to know if iPhone 7 will have a better batery life than his current Android device which only has 1700mAh. So yeah, obviously the iPhone 7 should last longer!

Agreed. Lifespan of Android phones are too short and it is not good for storing private information, the difference in versions of OS for Android may be the main reason. Apple is doing a much better job here. Google is hard in controlling OS update of different makers and a five year old Android phone may be using an OS without enough security updates. IMO, Android system may disappear in the future because of this problem.

Sony flagship are known to be the best when it comes to water resistance. They are rated very well in ingress protection ratings. Like ip 65/68. IPhone 7 is ip67 water and dust resistant. It's quite enough unless you're planning to jump in the pool with your phone. Still, even a ip68 rated phone might fail to keep the water out with wear and tear after some time of using the device. It's highly advices not to immerse your smartphone in water intentionally since water damage is not covered under warranty. It's there to help us with accidental submersions :)

The iPhone 7 is water resistant can take water drops, rain and shallow water exposure but don't use it for swimming or diving. If you want phones with better water protection look for Android flagship like the S9 it should be cheaper since the S10 is now on sale.

I think it's pretty normal. Mine also heats up a lot when playing games and sometimes even when using ordinary apps (web browsing, watching videos) it tends to heat up a little bit. Do not charge the phone while it's hot, it is (most probably) harmful for the battery.

The difference between this and an android phone is that the iPhone 7 is not outdated after 5 years, it still gets the latest OS version and updates and is fast enough to keep up with that. On the other hand, using a 5 years old android phone really is a stretch, also from a security point of view. I would never trust my online banking data to an outdated android software, I would in general be hesitant to store my bank data on an android phone.

It's rather small but it's livable, with low power mode you could even consider it to be decent. If you are worried, just keep a small power bank and a lightning cable in your backpack or car. If there's anything good to it, it's that you don't have to care about this "digital wellbeing" stuff because if you only have 4h of SoT, you will use it less to drain less battery ;)

Yeah even if you're a moderate user, you'll have to charge it twice. What hurts the most is if you charge to 100%, you'll have to replace your battery more quickly because fully charging makes the battery health drop faster. Studies show that a smartphone battery will remain in good health for longer if we stop charging at 80%. So that makes it more difficult to get through the day with a single charge...

6s was 14nm Samsung or 16nm TSMC iPhone 7 is 16nm TSMC only. But the difference is not big, and some even call their 16nm processors 14nm, so nothing to worry about

for me it's a big upgrade, the camera can record with OIS, its bigger but not too small like the iphone SE that I can't actually game or type properly on it. In terms of battery life probably about the same

Do you mean the battery drain even without any use? I also have that it happened 3 days ago. Now my iPhone is with authorised Apple Service Centre. My phone is only 3 months old and I never had that problem. Hope it was just a software problem. (Also mentioning how advantageous that if this happen to Android you can check the CPU usage using a free app from play store though)

iOS 12 has no issues here with my iPAD Pro 10.5. However I saw another user complaining about battery problems with this iPhone. I suggest you replace your battery and wait for a new iOS version. iOS 12 is way better than other versions, iOS 11 in all versions is garbage, and had confirmed battery issues. Also: do a clean install

I think you can still downgrade to iOS 11.4.1 which the last version before iOS12. To do that you will a PC, backup your iPhone and then download IPSW file version of iOS 11.4.1 but better check a more detailed tutorial for that. About older versions of iOS i just don't know but i think Apple won't allow older IPSW files to be installed on iTunes.

I mean honestly his only "mistake" is that he used text slang to write his comment, so instead of "you" he wrote "u" etc etc, but apart from that his capability and capacity of expressing his opinion in English seems to be much better than yours imo. Also, he did spit some real facts tho, which you blindly seemed to ignore and instead chose to pick on his English language skills, which is a classic "keyboard warrior defense tactic". Furthermore, most modern Android phones do possess a longer battery life than the most modern flagship Apple phones :D . A lot of features which Apple has just released are either already available on the latest flagship Android phones or made my some other Android phone manufacturer(the most commonly known case being that of Samsung making screens for iPhones. Still rocking my iPhone 6. Original battery. Handles all the workload fine. Battery will last most of the day. Never have to reset phone. Can’t ask for much more than that. Maybe just a better front camera.

I switched from i7 to p10. The Cameras are pretty similiar. The p10 had a better battery life with my use. If you are fine with apple then i recommend the i7 over the p10. Not only cos of apples updates, but build quality of apple is on an another level. The screen size is another thing also

What the hell is up with your 600 MHz? You don't know anything. My iPhone 5 still clocks at 1.3 GHz, same as 2012 with iOS 6, same Geekbench scores, performance is even better in some areas because of better optimization over the years and faster animations. And all that plus the hundreds of features added with every new major iOS release, and app support for basically every app available on the App Store (except fortnite, but that's a kids game anyways). Compare that to the Galaxy S3, also from 2012. People laugh at you if you use that phone today. It's slow like a snail and has an android version from like 5 years ago, no app support at all, security is also 5 years old and every online ad can hack it. The iPhone batteries are just as durable as the ones in other phones. I used my battery for 4 years, since I bought it, and it doesn't last as long, naturally, but that's it. I also have an Xperia Z1 Compact, and that one had an old battery. It wasn't able to hold a charge, and what you meant was the "throttling" which can be disabled anyways. But unlike an iPhone with a faulty battery, the Xperia with a faulty battery just shut off and lost the whole charge under load, which was for example filming or updating an app, so basically it was unusable. Anyways, I changed the battery, as you should do with an iPhone that throttles, as this means its battery is defect, which can happen with li ion batteries over the years, and it's fine now. And if you do this to an old iPhone 6, it will run like day one as well, especially with iOS 12, which does not, like you said, slow down the iPhones, but instead does make them faster.

Is it because of the screen size? Because if I were you, I would keep the SE as it's still a great phone. Decide: Were you happy with iOS? Then get an iPhone 7 and save the hassle of switching to a completely different OS. Were you not happy with iOS? Then try a Samsung of a friend or in a store and decide if it feels better to you. Price-to-performance-wise, the S9 wins, but that's no use if you don't like the OS because then you also won't like the whole phone.

I talk about real life experience and even a paltry iPhone 6 with new battery can give you a satisfying user experience, if you want the latest and get the most of the hardware then buy a new Android phone with the latest Snapdragon with the highest GHz, lots of cores and massive RAM memory amount, i don't see it as bad at all but some users just don't care about those features and just want a phone that works, don't care much about the hardware and the iPhone fits in that profile.

The only android device with more than 2 years of major update are the Pixels, the rest are stuck on 2 years of major OS updates, not 3 years, my S7 Edge will be stuck on Oreo which is not bad, but my iPhone 7 will get probably 3 more major iOS updates. I don't think any flagship devices from 2016 will get Android P except the first Pixel phones. About the post sale, well the LG i had was nothing but trouble, Samsung service is ok and Huawei customer service is like talking to the wall... i just found Apple service pretty good in my experience. And about the downclocking, i just will stick to real world experience and after replacing the iPhone 6 battery of my friend, the phone is just as fast as new unlike the HTC M9 he owns... almost unusable. I used to criticize very much to Apple in the past but since i had the iPhone SE to the 6 and now with the 7, those phones are expensive as hell but totally worth in my opinion.

If you can try the iphone, you should check the 3D touch, apply some force by touching on any app and a menu will appear, the fake one will do nothing. Also try to enter iTunes, most likely will be music player only and the options to buy media won't be anywhere in the app. You can check the screws in the lower part near the Lightning port, if the device is legit, you should see 5 lobes screws instead of the ordinary screws of 4 lobes.

The phone is fast, but the phone sometimes got stuck when I opened and zoomed in a not-fully-loaded-photo on Safari. I did not know if it was the application problem or the phones problem. Moreover, some of my friend also said the iphone 7 got a little slower since their recent ios updates. The battery of iphone 7 is also legendarily-low. In a day, the occasional usage (no games, just use my phone to chat) will need to charge twice. I had discussed this with my friend who is using an iphone too, he said it was perfectly normal for apple. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the phone, it has a great camera, performance, but not the battery life.

Battery life is only poor on the small standard models, the plus and X have great battery life. Also, there is the crazy performance of their chips and Storage, a pretty great camera (according to experts or in other words MKBHD, better than S9 and on par with Pixel 2 XL) and of course the 6 years of Update support, much more than any other phone on the market, which makes even the Stone Age iPhone 5s not outdated. In comparison, low RAM and no SD is nitpicking. I mean, how often do you use 20 apps right after each other. And if 64GB is not enough storage for you, just upgrade to the 256 GB which should be enough for everybody. The brand recognition also plays a role here of course, but loyal customers don‘t care about an apple on the back of their phone, only those who switch back and fourth between Samsung and Apple do.

Tough choice. I would recommend Iphone 7 if you are willing to sacrifice smaller screen. I used Iphone 7 for 4/5 months no lag whatsoever, smashing performance, camera top, front one is decent after all. I had around 6 hours of SOT and battery health (beta) was 90 %. With Sony i had only problems, so I am going far away from that brand. And I hear that Nokia isn't what they used to be, so Iphone is reasonable choice. Good luck.

I have both the iPhone 7 and the S7 Edge... the camera on the iphone 7 is good, but the S7 Edge is just better because better performance in low light, the auto focus is tad accurate, more details in the pics and the color reproduction is more vivid on the S7 edge. Also the image post processing is weird on the iphone 7 since you can get a subtle water painting effect with low light shots, not deal breaker but a matter of taste, you won't see that on the S7 edge.

If I take into consideration about security and OS updates than I know that the only phone I can buy for 4-5 years use is an iPhone as not even Pixel give updates probably beyond 3 years or so. For Google Pixels, yes they are quite expensive here in India with not that great customer support and Apple stores are present every few miles. We dont have much of accessories available either for Pixels and Apple accessories are like in abundance with great choices. Only Samsungs and Apple have good resale value here. Yeah so mostly it is iPhone 7 32gigs..

If you care about long term updates only the iPhone and Google Pixels can reach more than 2 years. I recommend to get the iPhone 7 but the 128GB version... the 32GB storage will be full pretty quickly unless you depend more on streaming. Also you can get the Pixel 2 64GB, but i think it's more expensive than the iphone 7 or the S8. A cheaper option is the first Pixel 128GB, but i would be careful since i got one with a microphone problem.

I know iPhone 7 will get around 3-4 years of OS updates and S8 might get 1-2 max. Performance and Camera are more or less equal on both the devices. Display definitely S8 wins hands down. Pick the iPhone, i had a Pixel with the microphone problem, just didn't work and it was a hardware problem. Also the iPhone is better know than the Pixel series and the resale value is quite high.

I don't recommend to update to latest OS until he is interested in new features. It slows down your phone for about 2%-5% but does not effect the performance that much as compared to iphone 8. Let him keep the phone still on iOS 10.3.3 so that it does not get slowed down after certain time of usage.

My iPhone 7 128GB can connect via Bluetooth to accessories, share data over AirDrop or ShareIT, can easily connect to my computer via iTunes, can change the wallpaper, but I don't need to change the icons to look inconsistent, even though you can by downloading an app link on the internet. I don't need a microSD card because 128GB is more than sufficient, and I personally don't need a headphone jack because I don't listen to music, but you can come around with either the dongle included or the lightning EarPods included. My problem with 7 was no headphone jack but went to carphone and got another adaptor so have adaptor on both pair of my headphones permanently. It is not what I want but we used adaptors(or I did) when we had Sony Ericsson phone and older Symbian smartphones so ok. The home button is just a vibration to me it is nowhere near as good as MacBook implementation and is because iPhone is lighter in weight. I am used to it now. I had all these worries before purchase, my work phone I use SE so buying iPhone 6s with headphone jack would mean buying just bigger SE. The 7 has so much more than 6s in a way plus it is really only just over a year old. I like the bigger camera lens on back of 7 looks more pro. That is my input and why I went for 7 over 6s.

If the price difference is less than € 100, go for iPhone 7. else, go for iPhone 6s. For example, at the moment in Germany sind variants cost only € 300, while the cheapest 7 costs €515. Between 4 to 5 hours screen on time, and it does support the same fast charging as the iPhone 6, where you can charge it faster with an iPad plug for example. But I never use the power saving mode. If I used it, it would probably last longer.

My ip7 was working perfect from day 1 but now after the last 2 updates the phone is slower, regarding benchmarks and in everyday usage I can just see it stutter sometimes. Im still sticking on iPhone, all of us are using iPhone. I’m done with the android, after a year used, encountered hanging (if updated), performance tend to slow down immediately (loaded with many apps), unusual battery performance. It’s been almost 2 years I don’t buy android phone. Maybe they improved a lot. For now, I still stick to iPhone product and their iOS Example of the 5s, it’s been almost 5 years since they introduced this phone, and yet the performance is still there. The truth is all smartphones suck when you use them for what they were meant for, gaming, camera, net, social media, music, etc A phone is a phone and which ever you buy there will always be pros and cons. my galaxy s2,s3,s4,s5,s7 all did a great job at being user friendly and customisable but my apple even though it isn't , still is a solid fun device to use, great camera (used correctly) , great gaming, net, etc I still mamage about 5hours 30mins when hammering my phone but if I just use it for email, odd net search, a few texts and pics I manage up 7 hours and also at max about 8hours 40mins, on screen battery usage some of my galaxy phones use to drink battery so fast you could drain it within 3 hours max, I still loved the phone regardless. And as for bugs, well every smartphone seems to have the odd little bug/glitch somewhere, again I enjoy my devices regardless and I don't stick to the same brand or OS for more than 2 generations so I'm looking at another android in september/october :-) pixel3 maybe or whatever oneplus are doing, both brands I've never tried

Not good in terms of battery life. Before I can use it till night around 10pm for next charging. (30% to 25% left) Now will last till 8pm at 20% left. I’m waiting for the next release update. It’s better to stay on 11.2.1 than this 11.2.2. Also noticed a longer charging time. 11.2.1 is faster charging time.

I’m still very happy with my iPhone 7 even though it’s a glossy one, never had a problem with this iPhone 7 or my previous iPhone 7, I gave one way before I’m asked why I got a second one :-) I love android and apple but prefer apple for its tighter eco system. Battery lasts between 5hrs 30mins up to approx 8 hrs on screen, depending obviously on usage but I do app unnecessary apps to a minimum, ie I use Facebook browser version instead of the app, I use web versions of twitter and blood nhs, etc I don’t play games as they are just plain boring these days , I take pics using adobe lightroom in raw, and use stock camera as well and edit in snapseed, that’s about it, oh and I use microsoft word and sheets along with google drive and maps , never had a problem apart from once I noticed the calculator was slow in the transition of key presses meaning if you typed too quickly the calculator wouldn’t keep up and the results were incorrect

cool. I have applied a decent screen protector (5 dollars) for now to prevent scratches and have ordered a Spigen case which costs about (15 dollars). I really liked the apple leather case but its nearly 50 dollars here in India, I may get it later in the year if the Spigen don't hold up well. Thanks for your feedback.

The screen protector is mainly to protect the screen from scratches. The leather case is definitely not as durable as a rhinoshield or Otterbox, because those are designed mainly for protection. If you have a case with a big enough lip over the screen, you don‘t need to worry about cracks on the phone. If you don‘t care about scratches, you could also just leave the screen protector away. For me, the protection that the leather case offers is enough, but I‘m also not very harsh to my phone, rarely dropping it. For people working higher up like on a construction, of course an otterbox has to be used. I also took the case because I could be sure that it won‘t scratch the phone‘s body, and if it really did, I could just have it replaced by Apple and search for a difference case. I once used a cheap 8€ case on my iPhone 5. before that, I had a 3€ case that held up reeeally well, but the 8€ case scratched all 4 corners with dust between case and phone. But that was a no name case, I mean rhinoshield and otterbox are known for their cases. I guess you can‘t go wrong with either.

I could do with more input from other users but I find at higher volume the iPhone 7 through lightning to 3.5mm adapter has bit more distortion than 6s through 3.5mm jack. It could be me I listen to dance type music at fairly high volume but found when I first decided to give up and try a phone without 3.5mm jack(iPhone 7) I got more distorted sound,ie when you push your hifi too loud and instead of really getting any louder you just introduce a more distorted sound. as I say it could be me or maybe my Real Apple lighting adapter is faulty however I think its working fine it just feels like amp is running out of steam.

If you jumped from iOS 10 to 11, it is normal because 1. after the update, the phone still has a lot of work to do in the background so it will normalize within the next 2 or 3 days 2. 11.0 (and 11.0.1, 11.0.2, 11.0.3) has relatively bad battery life, while iOS 11.1, which will probably be released this week as the iPhone X started shipping, fixed the bad battery life and performs similar to iOS 10.

To say that Apple doesn't make changes to their phones is nonsense, because they do - but the changes are minuscule and some people like those changes, others don't. I can't understand why a person would set out to pay even close to $1,000 for ANY smartphone. It's ridiculous... You're more or less just paying to say that you have something someone else doesn't have - and at a large expense, no less. As for your comment about people wearing headphones or using Bluetooth speakers; you can't say that. I used headphones for a very long time and then I stopped and now I use the loudspeaker on my phone (SG Note 3) because it's more than adequate for listening to most kinds of media - music is about the only thing that I have the volume set at about half because to listen to it blaring is hard on the ears (but then so is using headphones because the sound is literally directly in your ear... I don't know about everybody else but I used to have the volume maxed out). I've also been reading a lot of complaints about Apple with terrible English writing skills. I think texting and "Emoji's" have bought upon a world - whether directly or indirectly - illiteracy among people or carelessness to practice skills we had before the dawn of smartphones... It's pitiful... You are either illiterate or don't care, and either way that's not good. The complaints I see are mostly valid but the way they're written is a joke because if Apple read them I guarantee they'd just laugh or not take it seriously.

1. yes, when I got my first iPhone, I instantly could use most features (not all because some are hidden, but not many) 2. 128GB is safer if you are a "hoarder". I'm also like that and bought 128GB. I like to just keep all apps and photos on the device even if I don't use them 2.1 If you have a mac, then no, because you can just import them like a camera. I'm sure this also works with windows, but I can't say for sure 3. There are different ones out there, some have it, some don't. I'm happy that I made the move, and the current beta fixes all issues from 11.0.x. The camera is really good, but probably not the best. But it is really easy to use and always gives sharp photos with relatively good low light and good dynamic range. It won't get laggy for the next 3-4 years or even 5 years, I think the iPhone 4s on iOS 9.3.5, which is a mess, was just a mistake, because the 5 on 10.3.3 is actually pretty great.

Hi, any idea why on my IPhone 7, I must turn OFF my WI-FI in order to be heard in a conversation. I had the same issue w my IPhone 6 which prompted the 7 purchase. Then, at a ATT store, the manager suggested I turn off WI-FI and see if that improved the conversation. It does, but extremely annoying flipping it on/off for every call. Hey , I am using iphone 7 (Jet Black) and it is a treat. It has the best designed so far in iphone model. Yes, Jet Black is not scratch resistance but i have put a scratch guard on the backside of my phone which protects it from scratch. For Battery drain issue you need to disable auto refresh for all app. Just enable the app you use it most of the time for eg. Whatsapp, Messages ,Email etc are primarily important. Turn off the location when not required as it drains the battery in quick time. Disable the auto updates for apps. Use low light after sunset. With all this you can use your phone for 1 & half day with youtube, google surfing ,facebook etc.

It's normal with every major update for the first few days. If after that, the battery still does drain too fast, it's because iOS 11 at the moment has some battery related bugs which will be fixed with future update so keep patience

Note 8 hands down! iOS 11 has really destroyed all iPhones from 7 and 7Plus downwards... battery life is much poorer, the OS has become buggy in so many different ways, and a lot of the settings have been rearranged (auto screen dimming is an accessibility option and not a display setting anymore? ok apple... ok). Before I got my iPhone 7, I had an iPhone 5. If you plan to use it as long as I do, definetly take the iPhone, because Samsungs are better at first, but they become much worse in the long run. Overall iphone 7 looks great. The only setback is the Authorised Service Centre at Switch Kuching needs to improve eg. Service with a smile (being more humble) and show their frankness when giving advice (not always asking customer to replace by buying a new unit or device. Believe it or not! During my waiting time at the service centre, I observed 5 cases whereby service centre staff being so cold to customer and 1 out of 5 cases, customers were advice to replace to new ones instead of repair since the customer were enquiring about the exchange program. Case 2 customer didn't ask so customer were quoted Rm1,200 to change her cracked iphone screen. The other cases I can't hear what they were talking about. But I guess it's the service personnel staff that needs to look into.

I purchased a iphone 7 last 1 and half month back. I haven't used it for such a long time and the phone home button started not working. Ans store people say mam " Might be the phone get in touch with water" and you need to pay the replacement mount i.e Rs28500 .. such a big shit of this apple..what a person will going to be do first you spend 60k on purchasing and then 30k to use it properly great as it will let us know after 8 days because they would be sending there phone to Bangalore service center ... Reason for iphone being the best phones is apple's integration of hardware and software.. Apple's hardware and software is highly optimized which gives you superior performance and longevity. Unlike android phones where you get very few OS updates apple makes sure that all of its devices are provided with OS updates from generation to generation.. For example.. ios 11 has been launched and it provides support till iphone 5S which is quite old and now apple has stopped its production also.. So, best thing is go for Iphone.

Seriously, I have this phone since 6 months and still can't believe how amazing it is, big difference between iPhone 5 and this, even though the iPhone 5 was really good just low battery. This one (at least with iOS 10.3.3) has a long enough battery life of about 5 hrs. I just hope iOS 11 won't ruin the experience, but keep it fast and make the battery life a bit longer.

1. this phone is tiny. Lay it next to a Galaxy Note 8 and you will see what I mean. Because it is tiny, you can't fit a big battery in it unless you make it fat like a brick (look at Xperia XZ1 Compact: about same size, 2700 mAh, about 25% thicker) 2. I have same issue with charge cable. After some months, it shows charged but in fact not. I only fiigured it our when connecting to a computer, connection on and off all the time. Use very old cable, it works well. One middle pin of each side of the faulty cable got black... too bad.

Yep,I agree with you its alot better than Samsung because Apple is more good at design,features,Storage managment,etc.But Samsung is still great yeah everyone has thier own differnt taste *:-)...Btw I love Iphone SE its a small Flagship Smartphone but its just as powerful as Iphone 6s,I was decided to buy Iphone SE,But now its not on market /:-(...Btw I'm checking Iphone 7 matt black, Honestly it has a great design on both 7/7+...I have no problem to buy it if i wanted i could but both Samsung galaxy S8 and Iphone 7,But i dont want to care of two Smartphones :-)...I see people complaining About Iphone 7 battery,Dont know but people says on comments it just goes for a day after that u have to charge it...Well I'm a heavy user but i dont care i will take a power bank with it...Btw Which colour of Iphone 7s will u buy?And 128gb is enough for Iphone 7?

Well mate, comparing an average android to iPhone is just pure dumbness, comparing Samsung S series to iPhone is actually a smart move on the other hand, it is all to you, buying and S7 or iPhone 7, S8 or iPhone 8 (incoming) is a matter of taste, in MY opinion I prefer iPhone for the system but Samsung for the cam and screen quality, however they are really close in quality, it is all a matter of damn taste :P I own a iPhone SE and asap I will get an iPhone 7s just because this software is pure love, the smarthphone itself is pure madness and quality, whenever Samsung creates its own software, maybe I will try one :) But for me, iPhone beats Samsung NOWADAYS (today and rn) just because of software quality.

Hmm sorry Ken but it's not true my dad has S6 edge its been 2 years and still no lag.No problem at all but yeah Battery life isn't that good i agree with this but it didn't lag yet *:-/...My brother have Samsung's Mid-Range Phone,Its been 1 year since then it didn't lag yet...I agree most of bad companies smartphone lag just in one year...But not all Smartphones are same.

Hi,I've seen ur comment right now...My suggestion to everyone is to never ever buy a mid-range phone unless want to waste money,I've told this to much people.Well Ur Asking which to buy? 2 days back, my iphone 7 suddenly showed green screen. i tried to power off, but it didn't work. Later i pressed Volume Up/down key along with home button. then it got reboot and now working normal anyone has faced same issues earlier? i dont know why it happened.

Yeah maybe so with the memory card, but Samsung doesn't allow user's to move apps actually to the SD card unlike Motorola,Google pixel, Lenovo ect, and why do you think Samsung won't allow this? Because they know everyone would opt for a cheaper version of Thier flagship eg people would go for a 32GB model, i mean because why would you opt for the 64GB when you can use the SD feature anyway? But that's about the feature Samsung,Sony, Huawei will only allow expanding Media file's ect/Not the actuall apps because they know how much of a loss they'd be on.

I don't know Apple so I am going to try it now, because what I know is that Android is a crap. Lots of years ago I started to use Android phones and I've always had crashes, lags, failures of all sort, random reboots... I can tell that the S7 is affected by a general failure that makes calendar notifications to not always show, making the calendar unreliable for notifications and useless. The S8 is affected as well. All Marshmallow and Nougat phones are affected.

Haaa...I'm not a fan or something but my young brother buyed a Samsung grand prime plus its been over year and its still great as it was on first day me and my brother both use this one still i didn't seen a lag! The S8 with curved glass screen and back is way more fragile than this, it is a catastrophe durability-wise. The iPhone 7 has a curved glass, which is still not as good as flat glass like SE, but better than S8 curved glass and the back is made out of metal which won't crack. A tip: use a case which wraps around the edges with a lip protruding so that the screen doesn't touch the ground when dropped.

The iPhone 7 has the better tech, but it's not a groundbreaking difference. The 6s has the bigger and higher-res screen, while the 7 has a brighter and wider color gamut screen. Just choose which size fits better.

Get a droid. I had every iphone there is basically and i'm on the iphone 7s now. This morning i dropped my phone from waist high and it shattered the whole screen. I had a case on it too (not the best case but still). These phones always break and even with insurance you have to pay 100 bucks or more to get it fixed.
