I’m very disappointed with iPhone X . They are stating that is waterproof up to 1 meter which it is not !!! I been on holidays and took photo close to the water and some water left on it . Suddenly the screen stop working and the phone is useless . I was a fan of iPhone and had since iPhone 4 but now I’m going to switch to Samsung because they are selling expensive products and wrong information to the customers . Ridiculous!

A bit of frustration. Iphone can't update itself via cellular but must Wifi. WHY?. I have tried so many places for free wifi and even hotspot or paid wifi, it still won't update. Currently trying to update for IOS 13.1.

Now that the XR is only $599 brand new from Apple I would probably say XR just because the compromises it makes aren't bad enough to justify a year less of software updates and having to buy from a third party. The camera is still great and still has software portrait mode, the display isn't as good but is bigger to make up for the lower quality, the battery life is better and the material it's made of doesn't matter since you're gonna use a case anyways. Would say XR unless you really wanna flex having a super premium iPhone X lol

iPhone X. It is still worth it, even in 2019. I know specifications wise S10 may be better, on paper, but I didn't feel any difference when I used it in real (my cousin has it). It is up to your preference in the end, whether you like Android OS or iOS. Price-wise iPhone X will have an edge. You won't regret buying iPhone X in 2019, though. The best thing about iPhones has been the navigation gestures, which makes it so easy to use. I know Android Pie has come up with iPhone X like gestures, but that are not fully developed. I hope Android Q develops it fully. For now, I would recommend iPhone X for you.

In battery segment, choose S10e if you are a heavy user. If you are not, iPhone X still good. If you are interested in size, both are 5.8" but the S10e is a bit more little than this. In screen, well, both are good: S10e has Super AMOLED, when the iPhone X has OLED. In terms of software, again, both are good but if you are an Android guy, like me, S10e. If iOS guy, iPhone X And in terms of hardware, both are good, but S10e slightly better tho.

I’ve been using it for almost 2 years by December and my phone still good. Unless you have a fake or maybe factory defects battery. Screen adjustment is half brightness and my phone last till night for the next charging. That’s why i disagreed with your comments. That’s all i can say.

Trying to verify (from the other users) if Iphone X battery is really awful. Coz again got workmate and roommate that,s using their Iphone X with dim display and all I can see is they always charge. Yours can last til night. Lol! Plus, it feels good upon reading this thread, that I'm not wrong for not choosing that Iphone X. It's a nice phone yes. If someone would give me one, ill tc of it. But buying it from my own pocket, nope. Considering it's over-priced with poor battery life, and there are lots of other brands that's more powerful with reasonable price and good-looking too. One eg. that I like is the HUAWEI MAte 20 x. =)

Exactly. Once he used a Samsung or Huawei phone that's got 4000+ mAh battery, this duded will get mesmerized. =) Im using Samsung Note 5 that's got 3000 mAh. Phone is great except to its battery life that lasts for an average of 1 whole day. it's a big deal coz sometimes it tends to run out of bat. during the time u needed it most. Until I thought of buying a new phone -iphone xs. When I observed that my roommate & workmate are charging each day (with dim display), although i like the looks of the phone, I cant afford to charge again everyday. =) My wife got Samsung A70 with 4500 mAh. And I just bought a Samsung S5e (Tablet) with 7040 mAh battery. Life is so easy and comfortable. Battery lasts forever! Haha! My note 5 lasted for more than a day now, since I only use it for texting and calls. Youtube, facebook and other apps, ill use my tablet. I guess I had a smart decision, instead of buying a new iphone x.

If only the price is just right, the battery is not draining fast, and the update is useful (that wont make ur phone sluggish), ill consider buying this. used to have Ipad mini. After the update, it became super slow. I have a roommate who's using Iphone x. Everday he charges his phone, and he's using it with a very dim display. (probably thats his way of saving the battery) Buy a new Samsung phones, midrange or high end, you dont need to sacrifice and punish urself with that level of brightness. BAttery lasts big time. Huawei phones as well.. Based on my experience.

I'm not fanboy of anything, my opinion is that Apple and Samsung have their rights to be more expensive (not to be overpriced but more expensive) than other brands because they are on market for 13 years (smartphone market) and they are bigger brands than other. Huawei and similar brands are here for 5 or 6 years. You can't be on market for 5 years and expect to be on same "name" and "price" level as Apple and Samsung. Samsung have the best UI of all Androids (again my opinion) and Apple is only player on iOS side.I love both products but when I hear that Apple have best software support in terms updates this is just funny as I said, only version number is different everything else is 99% the same from iOS 7-12 (only visible change is Control Center). Maybe Samsung is not fastest in terms of updates but almost all features which stock Android get in future versions, those features Samsung already have.

Everbody is talking about long iOS updates, I have this phone and before that I've had Galaxy S8 and S9. Last iPhone was 7. iOS updates are junk, in those 2 years of updates only version number is different everything else is 99% the same. iPhones are overhyped and overpriced phones! Basically stop having fun with your phone :S I know it's a hard one getting the right balance, but I find killing all the background running applications and also setting application location rights to only when using the application or just off is enough to give you adequate battery life.... FYI I'm not a heavy user nor do I play games on my phone, but I capture a lot of videos and pictures, which I can get up to two days on one charges most of the time.

Well I heard that iPhone XR's so called 'Liquid Retina' display has the same pixels per inch as the iPhone 4s. Whatever I could be wrong but it does have bad image resolutions. I know we all are disappointed with the Battery of Iphone here are little more trick to get better Battery I know there are more suggestion in online firms , These trick are little different and applicable to iPhone X 1) Use Black Wallpaper ( less pixel light means more life on battery) 2) raise to wake function - disable 3) use Reduce white spots ( settings - general - accessibility - display accommodation - reduce white spot set to 80%, set the % based on your preference higher , less battery consume) 4) disable the animation ( increase speed and battery life) 5) Reboot your Phone once a week ( memory refresh) 6) after install an app if Iphone is start little heat , then uninstall the app and reboot the phone. ( heat will reduce the battery - special internal heat) 7) never load extra app , more app means more process thread at functional level. 8) try to charge the phone in afternoon ( 10am to 12:30 PM ) in this way you will see phone will get more stand by time ( like night time .. stand by time .. no one use in late nights) 9) try to turn off the max notification of app which not required 10) turn off screen time feature, ( another battery consume feature , it will try to monitor the thread 24 hour and category them , which is useless for some point ) 11) turn of automatic update feature of iPhone set to manual , in that case , save data and battery. ( your iPhone is schedule to download if new update available and if no update available on air then also your phone strike server to check new updates ) 12) I have turn off all siri feature ( special hey Siri feature) its upto you. 13) use the location service when you need , on or off the service when required 14) Email settings - fetch set to manual and turn off Push you will getting 2 days battery at least with enhance performance Note - if not work , I have more tricks thank you,

Well maybe my S9 has some issues starting the update with Android 9.0 but my s9 is not broken. the lag that i'm describing is not that noticeable on daily use, you can only notice it if you compare it side by side. I am not an android fan and I tend to favor apple but when comparing the specifications on paper, yes s9/+ is superior to iPhone, but as far as I usage, for me iOS is my choice.

I dont know what broken S9 you have, but my S9+ is definitely moving faster than iphone x, i have tested them side by side. I am not a Samsung fanboy or Apple, this is my honest opinion after using both phones. It's true the iphone simply works... no doubt about that. But in terms of speed the galaxy is definitely faster.

I have to disagree with you, i have an iphone x and samsung s9 and the iphone x is more snappier than the s9. camera wise, it is still user preference and I prefer the iOS rather than the galaxy. screen wise, S9 has the lead here, i mean, c'mon, the notch, but I dont care if the device has notch or not, because i'm not always looking at the speaker grill when i'm using the device. Speaker I think S9 has a better speaker, but would you watch a video in public at full blast? battery wise, both can give me atleast a days life without charging at the office (Calls, messages, youtube, netflix and games). yes some features of the galaxy is not available on the iphone, but I would still pick the iPhone as my daily driver

This is my first iphone. It's a waste of time to write about the limitations of the system, compared to Android - this is IOS and that's the way it is. The phone itself is very nice and I'm glad so far. Safari is very fast as well as the whole phone. Fantastic display. A standard camera application has very few features, so you need to look for additional programs, which will use its possibilities. It is a pity that Apple did not add a few dark color themes that would help save the battery by taking advantage of the OLED display. The charger in the set is a old, slow charging model with 1A charging current only - shame.

The edges scratch easily because of the material used which is stainless steel, that is a big difference to the masses of other phones using an aluminum frame. My stainless steel Apple Watch is also scratched up. A solution I saw for the watch was to polish it with some sort of stuff I don't remember, maybe that helps with the iPhone as well. I also heard this wouldn't be an issue with space grey / space black.

Well there's nothing we can do about it. I just look at it this way, I would rather buy an expensive device now and use it for 2-3 years or even 4 (if you're very careful with your belongings) rather than buy a cheaper version that might support OS updates up to 2 years or less. If you are the type of person who likes to upgrade his device every time there is a new release, iPhone is not for you (unless your rich). I would suggest you get an android device. But most android device in the market today are almost the same price as the iPhone( Flagship devices). But if you're the type of person who likes to use your device until the device is broken, you might want to try this devices, specially if you have a device that runs Macosx, or an iPad, because it can integrate tasks with ease. Although apple ecosystem is not perfect, but they implemented it very well. Don't get me wrong I'm not promoting apple or anything but I got used to the apple ecosystem and how fluid is the transition when changing devices. I'm not saying android devices are not as good as iOS devices. It really depends on what type of user are you and what are your preference. Also take into account your budget, It's better to save up for the next release of the version rather than buying an old model because the lifespan of the device will depend on the OS support. (I'm talking about iOS and Android)

So after 5 months of non-stop usage, I can say a few things. First of all, the performance is amazing. I haven’t had any stutters. Audio quality is amazing and listening to music is a pure joy. From the other hand I miss my headphone jack and to be honest the build quality is not what I expected.. edges get scratched pretty easily, the power button has become softer when pressing multiple times and recently the phone started to “creak” when pressing lightly under the apple logo, which is weird. If this phone was with android, it would be no for me. I’m sticking because of the iOS.

In my opinion, the Samsung s9 is the better phone. Looking straight hardware, the Samsung s9 has a better display, battery, camera(arguably), and ram. The design also looks much better than the iphone x. The only reason to buy the iphone x would be for the ios experience and "atmosphere" which is fairly overated. The only good thing I can think about the iphone x is imessages. In addition, the iphone x is more expensive, has no headphone jack, has a uncustomizable home screen, and has the infamous notch. Because of all those reasons, it is clear to say the samsung s9 is the superior phone.

I wouldn't waste my money. Anyone who's interested in the iPhone X, take a very serious look at the Honor 10. Very similar in many respects but with MORE features and just about the only thing missing is wireless charging. I got 6GB/64GB, same processor as the Huawei P20 Pro, superb camera, extremely fast, all for £379. Total no-brainer and I'm not even a fan of Android.

I owned iPhone 2,4, 5 and 6 plus when I had so much issues and after terrible customer care because my screen kept freezing and although Apple admitted it was a design fault they wanted me to pay $150 to fix it. Either. I both own an iPhone x and Samsung Galaxy S9 and i pretty pleased with both. I will depend on what you are looking for in the OS. If you just want to try a new OS, I would suggest you get a more budget friendly device ( iPhone Xr or iphone 8) or (Samsung Galaxy S8 or LG G7) but if you're going to stick with the os you are using now might as well go for the latest one because it will last you around 3-5 years depending on your usage

Have owned this now for around a year. What can I say, my first unit was delivered with a black screen out of box, totally dead. Get a new unit under warranty at apple store without questions. After 9 months same thing again, suddenly black screen without any foregoing drop. Changed again under warranty. The performance and UI are great as always with apple. But this quality-issues I've never experienced with an iPhone before. Considered the high price, one is expecting top-quality.

Hello, just want to ask if anyone here whose iphone x has a wiggly lightning port? it does not affect my charging and connectivity to my macbook pto but i just noticed it because ive been using wireless charging since i bought it but when i plugged it in at my computer at work, i noticed that when i try to wiggle it left-right, up-down, it wiggles but the charging and connection is not affected. I just want to know if this is a common issue or its my unit? I have have apple care so I'm not worried about going to apple store and having them checked in but I don't want my unit to be replaced just because of the wggling. hope someone answer soon. Thanks

I may consider this phone as an upgrade to my iPhone 7 in the future. The XR is too big for me sadly, but I prefer the design of X and OLED + dual camera are great things too, maybe even more important than the A12. Only thing I may miss is smartHDR because that makes all the difference in photography.

Yeah, do it, I made the same mistake. I went from an iPhone 5 to an Xperia M4 Aqua just to realize that the iPhone 5 was miles ahead in every aspect. Every new iPhone has the best performance and best camera of any phone out there. The iPhone X is faster, why the heck you need 1024GB of storage, and the "4000" mAh are great on paper but accommodated for the screen and everything, battery life is about the same. But please, do it, buy the Razer Phone 2 just to realize how good you have it with an iPhone.

i don't own one but honestly i've loved their products for the longest time ive had the Ipod 4th gen the Ipod 5th gen 2 Iphone 4s an Iphone 5c and an Iphone 6S+ but the only problem i've had with all of them is that they're slow and the camera sucks even the 6 but here soon hopefully i can get my hands on a razor phone 2 they're 2.6 repeating times faster than the Iphone x and you can have a full TERABYTE OF STORAGE through a sim card of course plus it has 4000 milliamp hours and runs at 120 fps and a whopping 2.8 GHz...

That means you gave the numeric passcode to your brother, he tried to open with faceID and it failed, so he entered the code, and the phone learned his face as the true owner of the phone since he was the one looking at it when the code was entered. A reset of FaceID and NOT giving the passcode to your brother will fix the problem. You cant blame Apple since your experience proves that the FaceID learning algorithms really learn.

Yes its nearest the iPhone 9, its an iPhone 8 with FaceID, it doesnt even have a camera that differs significantly from iPhone 8 and is a mile behind the X in all ways except raw CPU speed. People who want a great phone at a great price should act fast and buy a used X now, i recently bought 2 of them and one was almost brand new with 256GB and i paid less for it than the official price of 64GB Xr. We will soon enough see dissatisfied Xr owners who will regret not going for a used X, same as those unfortunate people who bought a new iPhone 5c instead of used iPhone 5 some years back. Thats impossible, noone who really used an X will miss the home button. FaceID is a ton better and the swipe is much easier and far more effective than the home button ever was. The only thing is i may be more used than most people to swipe since i use BlackBerry 10 OS daily since 2014 but i cant imagine that anyone without severe learning disabilities will have a problem without the home button.

The one you got has so many defects and not everyone else's. It is an isolated case, not everyone has the same problems with yours. Mine is working perfectly fine. No issues with the touch screen or whatsoever. Don't really care if it has been discontinued so long as we do get the system update for years to come as apple is excellent to committing service after sales. It's better that they cut the iphone X for bargained iphones this year. That's rather painful to see after years seeing the phone in the market with much cheaper price.

Not surprised that the iPhone X got discontinued. This phone has so many defects and got me so disappointed with Apple. First of all, the touch screen sometimes does not react, and sometimes it over-reacts by moving everywhere by itself. And this is getting so frequent now. What is worse is the poor customer service. Several days after I purchased the phone in US, I noted the motion abnormility of the touch screen, but the customer service at the US store ran a check and said they could not find any problems. As I am staying in China for a year now, I tried to get it fixed by the China Apple's customer service, but was informed that they are not capable to fix it in China, and they would have to mail the phone to US for check, which will take at least one month. I have been an iPhone users for years (starting from iPhone 4, 5, 5s, 6s) and now I am so disappointed by this new phone's terrible quality and the incapable of Apple's customer service. In reality, they do not have any quality guarantee now. Would have to switch to other brands going forward. Miss the Steve Job`s days when Apple was so serious with their quality. Unfortunately those days are gone, and I don't know whether customers shall put any trust on these new iPhone models being introduced.

There are additional factors to take into consideration such as the quality of the lens, the sensor, firmware and software optimisation. Plenty of phones with more megapixels and beefier batteries than iPhone that have inferior cameras and weaker battery life.

I see you dont know the average samsung user. Truth is they dont care if everything work or not, it has been that way since samsung entered the smartphone market, their buyers are just as happy with defective phones. Like the Galaxy S in 2010, i still have mine, i kept it to prove to the fans that the Galaxy S was always defective and samsungs promises to fix it with updates was a blunt bluff. The GPS of those phones never worked but samsung outed a software fix and said "there, it works now", and then students to post fake comments all over the web "it works after the patch, thank you samsung", and then everyone said "look, the emperors new cloak is so great, they fixed it". Nope, it still tells you to turn rigth through concrete barriers and into the forrest when using it for navigation, nothing changed. Then some years later i jumped on Galaxy Note series, so "great", Phones at the time were still sim-locked and useless to me. Well, 1-2 months with Note 2 and i turned off all the fancy functions, since none of them worked as they should, it was so bad, and what do i read online? Oh yes, fans praising the non-functioning features. Then exactly the same happened with Galaxy S4, nothing worked and people praised it, just for being in the spec list, they didnt care that it had no real world application. I changed to iPhone when 5s came out, Jobs was dead and Apple decided to do what he always refused to do: Make openline sim-free iphones. iPhone 5 was also sim-free but it had some lackluster LTE support so i didnt jump onboard the 5.

The X is much cheaper to own. Its easy to sell an X for a good price the day you get a new phone, while Note 9 cost almost the same new but loses far more value when used. ALL iPhones are cheaper because of their high value retention, make that all Apple products. Rich people can buy Note 9 but people who think long term economy can save many hundred dollars by going for an iPhone X. Theres also the advantage of people falling in line to buy used iPhones, you can sell it in a day if the price is somewhat fair.

I will confess... I was a big fac of Samsung considering it better than Iphone, I was wrong... the Samsung phones are very poor from the quality point of view! Can not compare with Apple, I must admit that. Samsung S8, a flagship, has at least 4 big design/quality isuues: bootlooping-contionous restart of phone, sensors that get broken, moisture detection hard to get rid of and camera focus blockage. I sent my S8, less than one year old to service due to sensors issue, a hardware problem that needs mainboard replace to fix, that's means lot of time to wait(already one week and not receive it from service) and ... it will still be water resistant after that intervencion? I will never buy a Samsung again. Probably I will think to Iphone.

Honest Iphone X review: Soo I have the Iphone X for 3 months now ( Note 5 and s7 user ) and all I can say it’s pretty decent. ( 7Pros&Cons of the Iphone X ) Pros 1. The processor is quite fast ( faster than a unoptomized Note 9 ) 2. Camera is Amazing! It’s on par with 2018 flagship phone ( except for lowlight ) 3. Build desgin and Quality is pretty good 4. Months of usage made me forget about the notch ( only in watching movies is when I realize the sad experience of a Notch, I dont use full screen mode on Youtube ) 5. The stereo speakers is good ( pretty load, crisp, good bass, and clear ) 6. Amazing Screen ( Thank you Samsung, tbh the screen looks way amazing than my cousin’s Note 8 ) 7. And just really good for everyday usage Cons 1. “Battery Life” sadly the X can only give me juice for a day of usage 7am - 8-pm ( heavy usage of Youtube, Facebook, Instagrams and Mobile Legends) 2. No Quick Charging ( With a inadequate battery, Apple better provides free quick charging ) 3. Phones gets warm with constant use of Youtube ( I do think this is normal?) 4. Repairation is very expensive ( Insane to be honest ) 5. Headphone Jack? ( The lack of a Headphone jack bothered me when I was charging but months of use you gotta’ admit that there is no other way to fix this problem. Unless with extended dongles which I hate ) 6. Big and tall screen ( Yes you heard me right the Iphone X is to big and tall for my hands I’m a guy btw, i just love the size of the note 5 even it’s tall ) 7. A cheaper phone can't give you ALL the features of iPhone X (i.e. no iOS). Those cheaper phones are just copycats. Also, it's important to note that battery life is determined by a lot more than just battery capacity, in this case, it's battery life isn't too bad despite the lower than expected capacity.

I think iPhone X will be my last iPhone to purchase. Spending so much money, yet cannot enjoy the benefits of dual SIM card, quick charge and the stupid face recognition I can’t open while laying on the bed peaking for my message. I don't think you need a battery backup. I did the same update and it took a few days for the battery to settle down. Also, because your phone is new, iOS is indexing all of your photos, email, and so on for use with Siri, etc. Just give it a bit of time. Mine works great now. I get a full 24 hours of use with wi-fi and bluetooth running all the time (attached to my Apple Watch), Apple music running, etc. Try a hard reboot too, as sometimes that helps.

I don't know where you got your information, but it's all wrong! LG will supply only the LCD screens for the cheaper 6.1" model. Samsung will continue to supply the OLED screens for the X & 6.5" models. As for pricing, the LCD 6.1" is rumored to start between $649-$749, with the new 5.8" X dropping to $899 (and including a fast-charger) & the 6.5" starting at $999.

Even an iphone 7 is faster than Galaxy S9, as the S9 can only post good benchmarks after being in the freezer for 10 minutes. You cannot solve android performance problems by changing to another android, many has tried and all have failed. Remember the days of Galaxy NOte 2 and galaxy S4, how they were outperformed by iPhone 4S(!)??. If you want performance the only rule you need to follow is to say no to Android. I advice to buy the X, its the only one worth the price, or if you live in USA, Hong Kong or any country likely to get iPhone 11 in september/october i advice you to wait for the 11 since its rumoured to be $100 cheaper than the X. In more "emerging market" countries the Phone 11 cannot be expected before December.

So you have an X and found its performance to be lacking? Then i really wonder what you think of android flagship performance, since the X is more than twice as fast when cold and 20 times as fast after 5 minutes heavy usage? Stop dreaming up specs and get real, this is by far the fastest and most reliable flagship, and its the only flagship that STAYS fast. Just don't get how this is a flagship. 3GB Ram, hexa-core-2 x 2.53GHz & 4 x 1.42GHz processor & only 2716mah? 3000 should be the standard medium range battery for all phones...period. I just don't get it or why it is such a big deal in any arena. this phone is the most expensive consumer device on the market, but yet apple still cuts corners (literally) on its hardware. The camera is sub par to phones such as the Huawei P20 Pro and the OnePlus 6. The RAM is only 3 gb, which is 1 gb less than my LGv20. The OnePlus 6 has 8gb of RAM for another comparison. Apple's A11 Bionic chip produces decent hexa-core power to run apple's load-free operating system and dialed-back apps. The graphics processor has no problem running the 1125x2436p screen with only 458ppi, which means one can see the pixels. Here we come back to phones like the Samsung Galaxy S9 (570ppi) and the LGv20 (513ppi). The screen isn't even particularly colorful or vibrant! I have also seen better AR and face tracking on the Nintendo 3DS. I will give it to them, their phone is beautiful, but it's only skin-deep. (this goes for the most of the brand) Save your debit balance, buy a different phone.

The iPhone X is faster at Peak Performance than Galaxy but only for a very short time, less than 60 seconds. Numerous YouTube speed tests confirm this. One of the main reasons is the 3 GB of RAM which limit RAM Management. The A11 Bionic Chip has to close background apps to power the current process. I’m an iPhone x user and I think iphone x will be a great phone if they add microsd and fix the battery. Because with microsd, we can easily transfer our files to PC without using a data cable or something. I have to say that Iphone x made with excellent build quality and the touchscreen is very fast and sensitive. It’s great but for me it’s overprice and the feature is standard, not like an expensive phone should be. This phone will be much better if they add more features like upgrade the RAM to 5GB or anything else. I think apple have to notice that their phones are less features with an expensive price. It’s the only thing that apple have to fix i think. The rest, it’s quite good. If i can rate this phone, i will rate 8 out of 10.

Before the Samsung S9 and plus came out I had the S8+. Display beautiful, battery great and camera amazing phone just amazing. Until it rained and software update- phone would not charge after port was wet for three weeks and Bluetooth would not connect to my car. Took it to a Samsung official store- “sorry sir we don’t warranty cover water ingress and go back to previous versions of software or wait for the new update. I waited 6 months and no update. In summary useless and didn’t care. Sold it and got the iPhone X. Apple Genius Bar, incredible. All updates work with and support all my devices. Screen, battery, camera and support on the iPhone X amazing. Expensive, yes! But you get the afterservice and an amazing phone. Samsung flagships are still very expensive- have an issue and they really do not care. Hardware is good however software updates are slow and extremely buggy. Many people complain and they don’t bother to fix. If you get and can afford the iPhone X there is little to dislike. I would wait until September though and wait for the new lines.

i don't want to be an apple fanboy here but, I just don't get it why some people have worst battery life on their iphone X, I've had mine since Dec 2017 and the battery life seems the same. I have not upgraded to the latest iOS been stuck with 11.1.2. I don't know if this is the most stable iOS but this has been stable for me. Also i never let the battery drain to 0 then charge it back up because it shortens the battery life span if you do this.

It is an Apple custom designed screen made by Samsung. Apple send their blueprints to Samsung so they could produce it and not 100% Samsung made. A proof for this is the resolution. All Samsung screens are made using conventional resolution and not what Apple do (points X multiplier = resolution)

I'm not here to show people that I am a Samsung fanboy or anything like that but to be serious this phone doesn't deserves to be priced this high. You can get a better phone like OnePlus 6, LG G6, Huawei P10 or many other phones for half the price. I'm not saying that iPhones are not good but the OS is very limited, has less features than Android by far and is more power consuming than Android because of the animations. Sure, you can turn reduce that animations and turn off HUD transparency but it doesn't make much a difference. Android is more customizable and it is very easy to improve battery life or performance without sacrificing the other one but on the iPhone if you turn on Low Power Mode the phone becomes significantlly slower even on the newer ones. I'm sorry to say that but iPhones are for dumb people. All iPhone users that I asked "Why you like iPhone instead of Android?" answered me with "Because is easiear to use than Android". I was a 8 year iPhone user but this year when I switched to Android I feel in heaven. Android is better optimized than iPhone, it ages better and it uses less resources than this devices. Android 8.0 and Android 9.0 are still optimized for 512/1024 MB of RAM. Apple only optimizes their OS for 2048 MB of RAM . When I open 2 apps on my 1 GB android phone both apps are ready to go when I return to one of them but on the iPhone 6 after I opened Safari I needed to wait for Youtube app to load again. Apple devices with 1 GB of RAM can't handle more than 2 apps in the same time. That's why I switched to Android and I am not comming back anymore. I regret that I wastes 850 € on my iPhone 6 . If you read this until now I'm sorry for wasting your time reading this if you don't think that I'm right but that's the truth.

The only reasons would be if you prefer Touch ID over Face ID, and the bigger battery on the 8 Plus. Personally, I have been very impressed with the Face ID implementation. A lot more smoother than I was expecting. Wasn't crazy about the notch either but you soon get used to it.

If you're thinking of switching to IOS, then the iPhone X is currently the best on the market. Best form factor and gorgeous display. Battery life isn't as good as the iPhone8 Plus but those other features make up for it.

have this beauty for a while now . get is just after my 7pkus . let me share my own experience: 1- in the beginning it feelt strength to cone from 7 plus to this masterpiece but aftey few days i realized the speed and the super display of my iphone x . 2- many said about the battery life but let me tell u some : i didnt see and feel any different between this x and 7 plus in term of battery life in fact i am able to charger my battery witg fast charge much quicker than any orher iphoens on earth . 3- performance of cpu is unexplainable . its fast as Tesla . amazing 5- camera amazing . 4k video are super smoth. 6- call quality super . in fact much better than any iphone i have used . 7- i am a fan of size for my packet . this is the best fit size iphone i ever owned. 8- i believe in feature . the feature is face scanning amd not the fingerprint as we rich years to come . 9- this is the beat iphone in my opinion . 10- cant wiait to see the os12 on this masterpiece.

There are many opinions on this phone, both good and bad, I have had one since March, I had an iPhone 8 Plus beforehand, I find it to be neither better nor worse than the 8, a really good phone if you are just using it for a phone, what has surprised me though is the battery, I have my screen brightness set to around the 75% mark, my battery is lasting about 32 hours, the screen is excellent, the volume is great, the processor is adequate, and the uni is pretty good too, aside from the price, I can’t really fault it, but I only use it for phone things

I agree with u, this is true. Apple devices are really fun to use, with those beautiful features and updates, it really made Apple blossoms. But for me, Android devices have a bit more freedom, it can do much more stuff easier, and it always likes to show powerful system such as processor level, ram usage, battery usage, and more. The only relevant thing people can complain about for this phone is the price, I don’t see any other reason why people wouldn’t like the phone other than it’s insanely high price tag. Apple devices are built to last a least 5 years. Consistent software update and new features added into it makes the users invest more into the phone. That's why it's called Apple ecosystem. I'm a android guy but lately Android devices aren't innovative and don't have an identity. Everyone is copying apples iPhone. Samsung used to stand out more not anymore. Yes, that's wrong for a lot of reasons, but you can't blame Apple for doing this. Why? Because the iPhone X sold 16 million units (top selling smartphone) in Q1 2018, which means that people don't care about the fast charger being included - i.e., it wont make or break the sale. I am 100% sure that the fast charger not being included was NOT a dealbreaker for anyone that was going to purchase the iPhone X in the first place. So yes, it was wrong of Apple to do that, but they CAN do it - so why not? Apple is a business. I'd love to see everyone moan about this saying 'no' to more money. Try owning a business ;)

Using the included 1A charger, I'm afraid so. I use my iPad chargers and it takes 1h40. It can fully charge in 1h20 with the USB-C fast charger but the 20min difference isn't worth 75$.

Its just not about build quality, Software is equally important as compared to hardware. For example 1) Faceid should take you directly to the home screen, why you need a two stage process 2) Full screen display- the cut out does not look impressive 3) Augmented design does not mean just change for the shake of it 4) There is huge scope for notification improvement I am sure in Coming years, you will see significant improvement.

Face ID works a lot faster when turning off the “attention required” on the setting however it is not secure cause it can be opened even when your eyes are closed. Think of it when you are asleep and someone tried to use your phone. 3. Camera has red eye issue due to the positioning of the flash. How often do you take pictures at night? Red eyes do not appear all the time. Besides iphone X camera is good in low light so no need to turn on the flash really! 4. software is not augmented for the X. Wait what?? What do you mean by augmented?? Are you really okay? iphone X is the most advance with the A11 bionic chip among the iphones. - Your complaints are nothing serious with what this iphone can give you the kind of experience. And in my opinion it’s definitely worth the money, worth the upgrade. The quality of the screen alone is awesome and the performance is superb. The gesture based feature of this phone is intuitive and natural. This is not your regular iphone from the past. Lol - All iphones are no cheap and fragile but you always have the option there to use a protective case and screen protector. You may have experience the iphone X for a while but I doubt if you have really owned and used one for too long. I got my iphone X since last December. Still looking great! And don’t have any major issues so far. I’m loving it with every updates we get from time to time thus we feel more secure with the software. :)

What do you expect on an iPhone 6 for a 1.4ghz to run on latest updates with added so many applications/instructions just to improve the software. Expect it will really tend to slowdown. At least, better than android. Androids application are heavy to run on an older cpu.

I am playing PuBG on my iPhone 7 at the highest settings. Does NOT lag at all. Though, phone gets heated up a bit after 1-2 hour of continuous play. BUT it does NOT lag at all. I don't know if you really have an iPhone X. 7 is running the game smoothly at the highest frame rate. How can it lag on X?

I have been using IPhone sure since IPhone 4. Personally I had the best experience with IPhone 5s. Every year I upgrade my phone. Never had any issues, minor hiccups. However my experience with IPhone X is not good. 1) Heavier 2) Fingerprint is much better and robust than Face ID, Face ID is not consistent 3) Fragile 4) Camera has a red eye issue due to positioning of the flash 5) The software is not augmented for the X I think somebody can explore Google Pixel 2 XL. Definitely not worth the money.

After going through a lot of comments and reviews and finally getting my hands on time with iPhone X and Galaxy S9+ all I can say is if you dont mind spending the amount these phones cost it will be worth the expense. I cant explain the feel of holding the iPhone X in hand. The build quality is supreme and unmatched and I guess S9+ comes close enough. To all those people comparing specs and price of Chinese brands like Oppo, Huawei, Xiaomi please note these brands spend way less on R&D, Marketing etc. compared to Apple and Samsung. If you don't feel or don't want to spend so much for a mobile fine no ones asking you to spend, but those who like big brands and prefer quality and feel over gimmicks you should not bash them. Its their money let them spend where they want. Yes now a days slowly mobiles have become a status symbol and few do judge based on the mobile you have, so many people stick to Apples and Samsung for these reasons as well. But lot of things are used as status symbol like Cars, Clothes, Watches and even our houses and yet we generally dont bash these objects, but mobiles specially Apples do get bashed easily. Please note mostly Apple and Samsung take the industry and standards forward and rest follows. If you like the new changes or not is a different thing though (no headphone jack, notch etc.). I am not an Apple fanboy nor I have any preference towards a brand (yes I stick to big players), I just use what works for me without breaking my bank. It may be from Apple or Samsung.

Let me be unbiased here and start with negative: 1. Price is plain robbery. It is shame how greedy Apple has become. Apple always did charge premium and was always more expensive than competition. Than Plus models came, asking even more premium than regular models. Now we have X. But in defense of Apple, others have become greedy aswell. Samsung, im looking at you. Almost same price as X and you dont even develope your own OS. 2. Transition to X is bumoy road for Apple. Bugs and freezes are what separates X from all previous models. X is almost unreliable as Android. But in defende of Android, its jack of all trades. Apple has no excuse for lack of optimisations. Good stuff: 1. Screen is great. Samaung naiked it. Biggest on Apple smartphone so far, yet in such small case. Best of both worlds. And reading is breeze. I just hope they arent prone to burn ins. 2. Gesture works flawless. One week and you feel how dated homebutton was. It just works. 3. Face id is also A+. No issues at all. People were like “you have to stare to unlock”, while in reality, its just as if you dont have password at all. You pick phone and slide up. Bum, youre in. Seriosly, i forget that its locked. There is no delay or extra step. Just imagine unlockig phone by swipe up. And it works even if you smile or talk. Flawless. This is really step forward. Touch id is great, but this is step up. 4. Storage. With 256gb, there is absolutely no need for SD. Period. Rest: Camera is not priority to me since im casual user. Ever since iPhone 4 and Lg G3, all cameras i had on phones were good to me. Im layman. Battery life is on par with 7+. No issues at all. 12hours of heavy uses and its on 30%. Wireless charge is also like Androids wireless. Qii charging is great. I was happy when jack died cuz i want wireless future, and now its here. With airdrop, wireless chargin and wireless headphones, i am ready for death od last jack in the phone world. Summary: High tech, yet pricy. OS still needs optimisations untill this phone can be what its meant to be. Innovative.

5 months into using iPhone X. Below is my experience with the phone. Background - I have been a regular user of iPhone since iPhone 4, since then always go for the latest version upgrade every year between September - November. The iPhones are quite expensive and one need to be really big fan of IOS to buy it in cash. Lucky for me I am in Singapore which helps me to upgrade it every year using my SingTel bundle benefits. And I get an additional 120$ discount coupon every year to use. I also own Galaxy S6 and tab S 8.4 which I still use for various purpose. Cons - - Screen : this is the reason why I went for it. It is just amazing to watch the photos and videos and the full screen increases the pleasure of looking at the screen. Don’t think the screen is bigger than that of iP7+ , the area of screen would be slight less for iPX as it is narrower and bit longer. - Camera : I find the photos less grainy then the iPhone 7 Plus that I used before this specially for low light photography. I feel the colors are more accurate and lively especial when sufficient amount of light is there. Portraits are just amazing , and the depth effects are more then iP7+ - Battery : no complain here, lasts me a full day like my iP7+ on weekends. On weekdays I have a 15$ mouse pad with wireless charger which I use at office and I just put on it when not using. - Phone Unlocking : well this is the area where I most miss the old perfect working finger print unlock, especially when I want to read messages without picking up the phone on my desk. Face unlock is fast but cannot replace the convenience of finger print. Face unlock is painful when you hold your locked phone upright for few mins in crowded train/bus and it then refused to recognized you later and ask for password. Hope Apple bring back the finger print and put it under screen like some of the android brand. Overall I am happy with the iPhone X with exception of the missing finger print unlocking. I am looking towards renewing it again this year and hope that the finger print is back under the screen. Else I am still ok to have face unlock to do away with the space occupied by big round finger print scanner.

Hi, folks. I have an iphone x with me and I have no problem about it. It has nice performance especially it’s battery life. I only charge it once and it’s already good in a day. I don’t have to bring powerbank with me (well, except for long travels). I don’t know why everyone here has negative feedbacks on the device. It has decent battery life. about one day of battery life in fair use. in LPM activated it's 40% longer. (1.5 days roughly. but not more than that) There's no Dark mode in the phone. (There is negetive mode though. which literally SWAPS all colors) as far as I am concerned. no. there are no heat issues.

I have been an iPhone fan since iPhone 4. As soon as iPhone X was in the market, I replaced my phone again. I paid extra for this phone but the Face ID never once worked more than 3 times a day. I reset numerous times including resetting my phone. I contacted iPhone genius repairs, the person there kept telling me to reset. It's been 4 months since I have the phone, the Face ID is still not working. The phone also likes to suddenly freezes. I have to constantly turn it off and on again. When typing a text message, the screen would suddenly disappear. When I got it back to the text screen, my unsent message was gone. When I was on the phone talking to a person, the screen suddenly turned black and the line went dead. I find this phone the worst in iPhone history. It is a piece of garbage.

Vivo apex is just a concept phone and it is likely to come out cause it is a lot weirder than the notch. The notch of the iphone X on the other hand is a beauty in my opinion. I was thinking of that way too when I used to have phones with replaceable battery and expandable memory. Back then, I’ve used the 32gb memory card and I was able to put many files but mostly not important and some are even non-sense. 64GB may not be enough but it’s not too little if you think it is. Right now, I have a lot of apps/games installed in my phone but Some of them I don’t really play or I even use them one time after installing it. If you’re gonna use the phone for multi media and you store a lot files, photos and movies then you really have to go for a massive storage but if not then 64gb will work for you and there are many ways you can manage and store your files through cloud services. Now with the battery, I’ve used a good camera phone before and it last me for years without changing the battery even when it is replaceable. So for average use, iphone X can last you for many years if you would really to keep it and take care of it. There’s no phone out there that can last as you would have expected if you tend to push it to the limits all the time. Dude, iphones are no cheap not even SE or refurbished iphones cause you would still shell out some money unless you do get them online with some risk. Take a look at the trends, mostly you do get some minor upgrades from most of the manufacturers. It’s business. You would really have to make up your mind and pick one you need the most or you like the most. Then you can settle with it for quite some time until you really have buy another or get a new one in the coming future.

Wow apple attempted to make a full screen phone but with a notch cause somehow they can’t take away the front camera, front stereo speakers, mic and other sensors which are very important. Now that a lot of android phones emerge with the same notch but not with the same technology that it houses. The notch of the iphone X was not meant for the design alone but with a purpose. Lol. Soon, smartphone buyers will realize that phone upgrades every year or two is absolutely a waste of money and expensive smartphones do not deserve their price. Smartphone development has reached a plateau. Most people really only use phones for photo/video capture, Facebook, YouTube and some online browsing and gaming in addition to calling and texting. Any improvement in photo/video quality, processor speed, screen technology, phone unlock method, etc, doesn't add anymore significant improvement to the phone's usability, convenience and overall user experience. There is no reason smartphones should not have the same upgrade cycle as PC's (5-6 years) and more so, no reason why phones should cost more than good desktop PC's. Consumers/phone buyers are led to believe by phone manufacturers that phones need to be replaced every year or two when in reality, new flagship phones of today have nothing significant anymore to offer to improve the user experience than flagship phones from a year or two ago. In the final analysis, only 2 things will require a regular upgrade/change: 1. increase in storage needs as the years go by and as you consume more and more GB of storage data, and 2. battery replacement as the battery deteriorates through frequent charging and discharging. Apple is really clever for not providing expandable storage and removable batteries in iphones. Those are the two components that will rapidly render even a properly cared for iphone useless (storage full or rapidly discharging battery) in much shorter time. These tech industries need to be regulated. They are coming up with with more and more features that guarantee rapid obsolescence for a more frequent upgrade cycle.

In their race for the best screen to body ratio phone manufacturers moved their finger print scanner on the back of the phone (what happens if you have your phone on a car kit holder and you want to unlock it?). Some manufacturers took it out completely in favor of face identification, action that i am sure that will be done by others too. All figured out wright? From a usability stand point maybe... What is next DNA scanning? And then phone companies will have all personal info about us. Sure they will say that their data base is ultra secure, wright? In IT the only limit is the person who is in front of the computer, it's only a matter of time before someone hacks it. At that point any of these phone companies will have more information about us than any security and information agency in the world ( e-mail, location, friends and relatives, fingerprint, face id, bank accounts and the way to aces them, DNA). Personally i would max out at the fingerprint but one that is integrated in the screen if you must take out all the buttons from the face of the screen.

Simply put we prefer a more clean, simple, a more polished and secured platform. Iphone X is still better in both software and hardware. The newly released Samsung galaxy s9 may come with over the top specs and all that fancy things on papers but in real sense, it is still just a clone of s8. Too bad for android phones no matter how fast and advance the processor is and how much RAM it possesses still it does not the resolve the occasional hiccups from here and there. Android phones just can’t go far beyond with the smoothness and fluidity of iOS. I’ve seen Samsung Galaxy s9 and tried it and never will I throw money on this device with oversaturated display which is prone to burn in. And the curve edges are pretty much annoying than the notch as it is hard to find a case and screen protector that best fit. Thus making it more fragile. The hiccups are noticeable in the transition of the apps when swiping across the screen. Games are not running with 60fps. Going back to the display I just can’t stand the aggressive colors coming from this phone. Not as pleasant and bright like the iphone X. Definitely I’m not gonna be using a phone which I am not comfortable to look at for a long period of time. Apps developers prefer the iOS platform over android OS. No question to that. Too many phone manufacturers competing each other with their android devices. The next month or two you will know that your samie phone has already been outshined by the newly released & overly engineered line up of android phones.lol And there is no even an assurance for the android users that they will get support and software updates from their respective manufacturers after 2 years or so. And a lot of problems getting in more to their device after months of use.

Late last year Apple released their iPhone X, the 10th generation iPhone and the flagship of their line-up. When it was first announced in September 2017, there was a lot of media coverage and many people were excited for it to go on sale. It was possibly the largest change to an iPhone the world had seen, and I had to get it. Sadly, I missed the online pre-order date, therefore I ended up on the second floor of the Galleria Mall parking garage at 10:30 pm wrapped in a sleeping bag on a lawn chair. After an 11hr and 33-minute wait, I finally was able to hand Apple $1400 for the phone. But was it worth it? I love the software and user interface apple generally produces. However, for the price I paid for this phone I expected it to have a bit more of a ‘Wow-factor’, in terms of the ‘evolutionary’ technology that the device was advertised to possess. I do think that this device is a platform for them to build a lot of new and innovative technology off of, however, despite my excitement for that, the reality is that I spent a lot of money on an iPhone that doesn’t do that much more than the previous generation. The features I enjoy include: the new Face ID biometric security feature, the beautiful OLED edge-to-edge display, the incredible camera quality, wireless charging and water-proof feature. That being said I don’t think this phone was worth the price, much more the iPhone 8 and not significantly better. Don’t get me wrong, I do love the device, just as much as a love most products apple produces. When it comes to value however, value defined as the worth of something compared to the price paid or asked for it, I am not sure if I consider this item to be of good value. Initially, when I saw the launch event followed by the numerous exhilarating, colorful, dynamic ads I was under the impression that this phone would provide new user experiences using the augmented reality (AR) technology built in to the device. The camera is just as good, if not better than I expected it to be and I often find myself in a dilemma due to the incredible quality, I no longer need to carry around my professional DSLR camera. Face ID: the new facial biometric scanner in the iPhone X is astonishing. It projects 30,000 invisible dots on your face, mapping the 3D dimensions which creates a high security level, despite some negative criticism the system has gotten. The phones new edge-to-edge OLED display is the most beautiful display I’ve seen on an iPhone, with high ranges of crisp colors and incomparable resolution. I am a sailor so I am at sea a lot, and near bodies of water. Having the iPhone X be waterproof has been a long-awaited feature for me and I really feel more comfortable having that feature. Wireless charging is an emerging technology that is interesting to me, although it isn’t any more convenient than plugging in a cord, or even less convenient in some ways I had to buy the wireless charging pad just due to my interest in new technology. However, I do often find myself plugging in the cord so that I can use the phone while it’s charging. I am a huge fan of apple and an avid iPhone user, however when it comes to value I just don’t think this phone was worth the $1400 I paid for it and the 12 hours wait in line. There are some features I love such as the great Camera, Face ID, the display and the waterproofing but I expected much more off of the AR capabilities and ‘evolutionary technology’ that this phone was advertised to have. Who knows, maybe this really is a platform for them to build something really great off of, time will tell but in about 8 months the next iPhone will come out and mine will become outdated yet again. Currently, I don’t feel I have gotten the value out of the device that I expected upon buying it.

Oh yeah, another one of Apple's proprietary dongles is required. By the time your connections are all set up you've got adaptors, dongles, cables everywhere you look. Like the guy sitting next to his gf in the S9 commercial. Just one more reason to make you wonder why you shelled out DOUBLE the price of a device that doesn't require that crappy setup. Because we users knows that unboxing our ipX showed us the 3.5mm jack out of the box then we don’t need to use the 3.5 either because the earphone itself has the same flat connector like its charger itself. I wiish the Iphone X had a finger prinit scanner for the easy no look access, to open the phone in a more convenient way without looking at your phone. It would be cool if the applel logo on the back of the iphone X. They should have made the logoat the back a finger print scanner that would add a cool new style without breaking the iphone appearance by adding the scanner.

It all boils down to the price! Like the rest its everybody’s concern however the device can exceed your expectations especially if you have been using iphones. I haven’t upgraded from iphone 6 till this iphone x came. I have been using huawei p9 as a compliment however I wished someday that apple would release a phone that’s different from what they have been producing for the past couple of years cause iphone 6s,7 and 8.. they all look the same. Finally Apple stepped up with the iphone X - huge upgrade on both sofware and hardware! They’ve answered my wish for a long time! I couldn’t be more happier. I’m not really an apple fanboy as I would consider any other brand that’s reliable. Apple did a lot of effort for their 10year anniversary flagship phone! Hands down! Although Samsung does supply the oled screen of this phone, apple did not settle at that point. They have calibrated the screen so as not look oversaturated like the samsung galaxy s series. It is vibrant and white is whitier. More natural looking indeed and far more pleasant to look at and it is likely to suffer from burn in. There was a test conducted between the iphone X, note 8 and S7 edge and apple did a great job cause iphone X didn’t suffer that much from burn in like the note 8 & s7edge. Same on Samsung! Apple did not compromise customer satisfaction with their iphone X and Samsung has also raised the price of their flagship phones, so if you could spend a little more, go for the iphone X. There’s no denying that it is the greatest phone as of yet! If you want to save more money then Oneplus 5t would be a better option. It’s less than half the price of the iphone X. Lol it is a flagship phones killer!

No pain at all, I've spent some time on iPhone X, not a bad device. I really like it's looks and feel. My biggest gripe isn't with the device itself, even though it's overpriced and playing catch up to other devices with respect to features. It's a good phone but it's not a good value. If I'm going to drop $1,149.00 on any device I don't want to sacrafice useful features seen in other devices costing hundreds less that match and in many ways out perform it. My biggest gripe is with Apple. They could build a better, more innovatived and truly revolutionary device IF they set their minds to it but they defer. Apple devices haven't really changed much until the X. Apple prefers to suck up massive profits as their devices lose their competitive edge. Also as I've stated, everything is proprietary with iPhones. You are very limited with iOS customization options. You're pretty much stuck with what they want you to have, same with their accessories and music. There's no such thing as the perfect phone. Samsung has an awesome display but it's also very flawed with screen burn due to it being composed of organic compounds , something iPhone X users will also soon lament.

I dont like the display, its quite poor, tinting magenta or blue from the slightest angles, white is never untinted white. In other words, just as poor as Galaxy S series phones has always been with regards to lack of pure white but Android users dont care about any flaws so its ok for them. iPhone users otoh have higher standards and demand more from a phone, its hard to be satisfied with such a serious flaw in the display. Steve Jobs wouldnt have allowed this, but other than the display its an awesome phone with no direct competitor.

Samsung galaxy X, if it comes with a foldable screen, is irrelevant and may not appeal to most people in the real sense. Flip top and slide phones have long extinct cause people prefer the candy bar type which is more practical and durable to use! Who says face ID is slow when you haven’t use it for quite sometime? @varcor: Try searching the best smartphones to date and you will see that iphone X is always on top on many websites! The price was seriously taken into consideration but they can’t deny how great it is. Don’t compare the iphone 8 to iphone X cause they differ in many ways and you can set them apart even by a single look! Now compare the Samsung Galaxy S9 to S8... they are indistinguishable unless you look at their rear view and dig deep into their softwares! Lol Now do you think it is worth the upgrade? Besides there are a lot of manufacturers out there that produce android phones from time to time. It seems like android users can’t get enough. Well that’s the problem you heavily rely on papers and reviews from a third a party, they can be in favor of either one of them, depending who sponsors them. Samsung just released their oversaturated samsung galaxy s9 ( I say oversaturated because the display is digusting in real person and not as pleasant as the iphone X) so Samsung invest a lot to market the phone and that includes sponsoring a lot of reviewers and bloggers in favor of them. Lol. The Face ID feature of the iphone X automatically unlocked the phone as soon as you look at it and It can be faster when you turn off the option “requires attention” but it doesn’t necessarily open the phone cause you have to swipe it up and by no means it isn’t slower than the S9. Iphone X works differently cause it doesn’t bring you automatically to the homescreen instead notications will show you the detailed messages to look over to. You see you don’t get everything on youtube reviews unless you use the phone yourself and know the workaround! I have the phone for about three months now and the battery life is quite impressive; it stays at 100% after a couple of hours with minor use. And it last for a day and a half with average use before you need to Plug it again. This phone with only 2, 716 MAH battery does rediculouly compete to the flagship android phones with more than 3k MAH battery! What’s to complain about? The iphone X is super smooth and the screen responds to your touch so fast unlike the android phones wherein you need to apply a certain level of intensity that sometimes you need to press it harder to get it work. That’s insane! Apple made a huge and a radical change to their 10th anniversary flagship phone with the design, technology and gesture based features. For the past few years apple just keep recycling the looks of their iphones with minor upgrade each year but not with the iphone X. In exchange it is released with an eye watering price tag but what do you expect from apple? Their products are no cheap since they’ve been producing electronic devices! The only setback that comes with this phone is the price cause most people can’t afford it; and that’s the main reason why the sales declined. But If you haven’t got a high-end phone yet and if you have the money and you are used to the ios! It is definitely worth the upgrade!

Let's look at the bigger picture surrounding the iPhone X. Prior to introduction Apple put forth it was a revolutionary game changing device with the intent of convincing users who own Apple iPhones and Android Smartphones to justify ponying up for the most expensive device ever produced or in a simpler term, build value. If you're an Apple user the device has significant features not found on earlier iPhones. OLED Display, Glass Case, Quick Charging, Face ID and a faster Chip. If your a Android Smartphone User these features aren't revolutionary or game changing as they've been embedded to various devices for years. Nor is the iPhone X Camera a game changer as it's the same as iPhone 8's. The OLED Display certainly isn't the next generation since we know it is supplied by Samsung and old news for many Smartphone devices. The feature Apple really pushed to the forefront was Animoji's. I suppose you can label that a revolutionary feature however I don't think it influenced an average person's buying decision to a large degree or built much value. When the iPhone X arrived it's most glaring defect was found in the batteries. While Apple apologized, it never admitted a mistake. It didnt follow Samsungs pledge to overhaul its battery technology or increase battery stamina to 95% of capacity after two years (as Samsung did). It also didnt copy LG or Google by increasing smartphone warranties to two years and covering the battery as part of this. Instead iPhone owners got an 11 month window to replace defective iPhone batteries at a reduced cost, the reiteration when Apple quietly slowed your iPhone down without warning it was a feature owners should appreciate. And finally the suggestion that in future it is the responsibility of mainstream users to monitor their iPhone battery condition and act according rather than Apple. Of course iPhone users will point out its lightening fast Bionic Chip and top tier Benchmark Scores, how smooth and flawless the UI is and how the iPhone never lags. In the past those were valid considerations but not now. First off, comparing Cross Platform Devices is difficult if not impossible due to inherent differences and requirements of Andriod and Apple's Software Platform Architectural Composition. Recent Speed Tests reflect Facial ID is much slower on the iPhone X and a variety of Apps open, run and preform at similar speeds for the Andriod and iPhone Flagship Devices. Something that isn't well known is the A11 Chip has chart busting speed when the device is cold, once it warms up it speed drops significantly. "When were looking at competitor devices we see only the the iPhone X able to compete with the last generation Snapdragon 835 devices - however with a catch. The A11 is severely thermally constrained and is only able to achieve these scores when the devices are cold. Indeed as seen from the smaller score of the iPhone 8, the SoC isnt able to sustain maximum performance for even one benchmark run before having to throttle." End users don't share identical needs or desires for their devices and there's a degree of familiarity and loyalty which compel users to stick with a particular brand however when viewed from a value based model, iPhones are losing their competitive edge and market share even as their corporate profits are skyrocketing. Fanboy can ignore what I've shared and bloviate over his beloved iPhone until the cows come home but he can't change the FACTS! With respect to Anonymous inferring I've never owned an iPhone and can't afford the iPhone X, it doesn't deserve a response. I went to the store to check out the Samsung galaxy s9 and to convince myself that it has better display than my iphone X. I just can’t believe that displaymate ranked the galaxy s9 as the best and better than the iphone X. It looks like exactly the same with s8, still oversaturated and painful in the eyes. Lol

I can answer that with a question. Android has increased RAM at a high pace, but never did it translate into increased performance, once they got 4GB the Androiders were already yelling for 6-8GB. Now they got 8GB and still want more, they refuse to admit that the reason for Androids poor performance has nothing to do with RAM. So the question becomes WHY INCREASE RAM WHEN IT CLEARLY DOESNT HELP? iPhones have no performance problems with or without 3GB RAM, if it wasnt for the high resolution of the X display 2GB would be more than enough. Just go on ebay and buy a used iphone SE, it has "ONLY" 2GB RAM but once you prolong heavy benchmarks and things get warm it starts beating the newest flagships from Sony, Samsung which will then suffer under heavy thermal throttling. With a dualcore CPU and 2GB RAM.
