I replaced my son's screen for $18 purchased from AliExpress. It is usually shipped for free, but this takes about 6 weeks to be delivered. Make sure you know which type you require. Open up the tablet so you can see the part number and what the connecting parts look like (there are two types- one has a single connection and the other has two tabs that connect to the motherboard). You will need some tools and slim, double sided tape, which can be found on Amazon. Go to YouTube to watch various videos to help you with this. It's not hard to do this, just a bit fiddly and somewhat frustrating getting the old screen separated (I used my hair dryer to loosen the tape). I hope this helps.

Since the debugging mode not been turn on so I can't fix it through the Adb shell.. even I also forgot to turn on the wifi before this bad thing happen. second thing that I try to do is do the hard reset. Press Volume both + power key = boot loader will appear as no USB connected. then if I connect the USB with pc its will show up a android robot wearing safety helmet and bottom of the Icon it appear word like this "ready to download" oh ya before i forgetting if don't have the usb driver install into the pc it will automatically will install the driver know as"android computer driver or something similar to it" Third thing If I press the volume key - along together with the power key it will enter the safe mode. 4th thing I did try is try method which acquire us to write down our gmail acc and write down the password as 'null' Somebody please help me out.. its been 3 day the table locked since I write down this topic.

Good basic unit for price($129 AU)use it for entertainment on flights etc,battery life not too much of a problem I always have a backup power supply when I travel,for phones Ipods MP3's etc. Resonable value,limited movie format though. Pleased with unit.

Hello,Dorian and friend. I've had same trouble with you at a time and fix it. If you want to fix your trouble,please follow this step: 1. Download the "cleardata.zip" from 2. Unzip that file to a MicroSD card 3. Insert your MicroSD to ASUS Memopad device 4. Press power button to boot 5. Choose "clear user data" by volume key and press power key to do the clear data Fyi,this step will erase your memopad data. I didn't found another way to fix it without erase your whole data. Try installing root explorer. If your device is rooted, you can try copying the Play Store apk in to the system apps folder and set proper permissions. Actually, you would be better off looking for instructions on how to do it at xda developers rather than here.

Is it brand new? Asus devices are Google certified and come preinstalled with the Play Store as a system app. So its either you have a used, rooted device that had the play store deleted or its a fake. Either way, try to do a factory reset. If it still doesnt appear, you might need to flash a stock rom.

This is my first tablet, which I received as a Christmas present. I had some misgivings about owning a computer that didn't have a real keyboard but soon saw the advantages. Here are a couple of the bonuses Extremely lightweight. Great display. Very good selection of apps, including a word processor with handwriting, sketches (!) and voice input. Granted, the latter does leave a bit to iron out. The texture, a sort of lizard skin finish, is very pleasant to hold for long periods and seems to suggest that the MeMopad was intended to be taken out to work. It is a pleasure to behold. Great video game support, contrary to what people say about the thin library of titles for Androids. Android's own Youtube interface is very user friendly, stripped down and I prefer it to the usual. The size is smaller than Ipads and the like. Ipad owners in my acquaintance have said that they prefer the genuinely notbook (A3?) sized screen. 16gig memory, 1 gig ram (that is larger than a number of PCs I've been pleased with). One more thing: if you look, you can find emulators for the Nintendo DS, GBA and numerous others. I recommend the Myboy, which emulates the Gameboy Advance and GB! Negative: This version of the Android operating system does not support Flash, which means that Facebook games cannot be accessed. I would strongly recommend this

Pratical to read e-book accept pdf format. You can surf on internet access all contacts withouth internet connexion. One big hick is that asus cable look exacly the same as regular portable phone cable. You can easily mix up cables by mistake and if you do so your tablet will charge as well as your asus cable. But after that your tablet will no longer charge even with asus or phone cable. You will not be able to use any portable stick charger.. So in spite that this is a very good tablet this negative point is making it a reason to think about it before you buy..... This tablet should charge only and strictly with is own cable, and a tablet fully charged should automaticly disconnect from source of charge when fully charged. We custumer will not stay up all nigth beside our tabet to disconnect it....

I bought one Asus Memopad with 32 GB ROM yesterday. Icould not find complete specs on the box. It has good resolution, good picture quality with single secondary camera.It has got Micro USB port and supports OTG cable which is not included. I found it cheaper in Price and better in Quality. However, It does not support SIM, it does not have BLUETOOTH and HDMI port.Neither there is RADIO.Its speaker is at base. The biggest flaw is it does not support Adobe flash player. But still I love it will continue enjoying it.

I have used this tablet for 4 months with no problems. I have watched movies and use it for stock market trading. I use several finance related apps and all work perfectly. I do not use this tablet for any games. Îf use purchase this tablet now at the much reduced price you will be rewarded with much enjoyment. I think some of the negative comments are unjustified. If you need something more pay the higher price for the newer ASUS MEMO or another higher end tablet, but first make sure you need the additional features. I recommend this tablet.

Yes you can! Just download the office application in the playstore for free and the kick ass part is that it is a full version too and be able to work offline. Or you can even use and work on your Google Drive but it requires a wifi connection though and its legit

I had the same problem until newest update. Since then, my batery last for several days. If you updated, probably some app is draining batery and forbid pad to go to deep sleep.

It has USB OTG functionality plus free USB OTG cable. That means you can attach and access external drives. I've already used flash drives [transfer files]. Haven't tested any external HDD though. Those that complain it doesn't have bluetooth can just install Superbeam from the Playstore. I've used this 2 days ago, and I feel very satisfied, especially asus firmware update and a lot of changes in the appearance of the application, of the camera is quite good, the screen is the equivalent of the price, if the screen is more than it would have been so much better, for all the games run smoothly, too smoothly for the movie, ebook very helpful in this memopad .. the sound is very crisp and clear .. Another good thing about this memo pad is being able to support 1 terabyte external hard drive. This means, you can use it for torrent all you can with movies and all. Comes with a great tag price, and a brandname far better than all those cheap China tablets. Since it has a multi-touch-capacitive screen, static stylus also works well. i have tried temple run 2 on this device,n its work extremely well. Most of the simple games are running smoothly. For browsing,it has a long battery life for as 7 hours non stop. Asus memopad is for light user compatible with it own single core processor. I just think that it realy worth ur money on this budget tab. Dont expect too much where u spend less.

Iconia does not build for graphic performance but more to multitasking.. that is why it had 2 processor.. Normally when a device had GPS, more apps run in background, so it need to be fast. So, 1.2Ghz Dual Core just perfect! Asus had GPU which is accelerated for graphic, that is why it play the video better plus build with a very nice LED-backlit LCD too.. ;) now up to you..

Well, it's pretty descent for the price. I've been using an apple products for a couple of years and this device was my first purchase of andriod device, I was so amazed how the apps,video, etc.. runs smoothly, the multi screen feature and weight of this tab (yes, this really matters to me). Sometimes, I hate to use my ipad4/3g due to its weight, it really cause pain on my shoulder after a prolong usage and I need to carry a bag that can hold my ipad4 (sorry,enough for IPAD). This Asus memo pad is really an on the go device. However, the resolution is not that good but still it's okay as long as you played HD format video. To wrap it up, I'm satisfied with my purchased and welcome to andriod world!
