Asus PadFone Infinity 2 - User Reviews

  • U can use slimport instead of mhl.

  • Ya.. what about it?

  • Non-removable Li-Po 2400 mAh battery

  • mhl ???

  • There's lollipop update for this phone on asus web site

  • it uses 1 sim and supports otg

  • Sadly Asus does not seem to support their phone buyers. It was not long ago this was their flagship..now there is no update for lollipop as promised, and you can no longer buy the Asus Padfone Infinity station for it. All this despite a number of retailers still selling this phone new. A great phone and concept with the pad station, just no support from Asus.

  • this one support dual sim or not? is it support USB otg also?

  • Yes.it's not mentioned in this website

  • this padfone OS cannot upgradable into kitkat?

  • Thank you for the information

  • I bought this phone in singapore in offer price, S$199 (Rs.9200), working very nice battery life also good, but it take too long to get charge (almost 4 hours to get 100% battery), over heated during video call. But over all good for this price.

  • hi.I love this padfone. How to buy or not? I'm living in Iran. I love you all

  • Have had one since the release (I live in Taiwan) and it's been solid. Definitely can recommend this product.

  • yes, I agree with you. my prefference for screen size is 4-4.5 inch. then when i need bigger screen, i can use the tablet/the dock

  • You can check on mobicity. I know they did have the padfone infinity 2 sometime ago in stock.

  • I'm looking for PadFone infinity 2 without tablet, because i've already lost my mobile.. is anybody want to sell just the mobile (PadFone)?

  • You can buy a padfine infinity mini. It is a 4 inch phone that docks into a 7 inch tablet.

  • The phone is so nice.how much is it??? And can i get in lagos??

  • For all people outside of asia, please note the major change from infinity to infinity 2 is the introduction of more GSM bands. eg; Infinity 2 will work fine in Australia now but infinity 1 will still have no 3g. Check Gsm banwidths and compare to what your networks offer before buying.

  • Will the padfone infinty 2 work in the US for nothin LTE and cell service with ATT?

  • See if possible to reduce the size of the mobile phone .. as I am experiencing with 5 inch+ phones as they are not handy many a times & it gets tough to deal with it really.

  • and of course an hdmi + usb3 port on the station

  • i'd rather a snap 801 BUT they put real battery in both the phone and the station (and real pseaker too) like 3000mah in the phone and 8000mah in the station

  • Please do it new PadFone Infinity 3 with this specs: 1.Smartphone.- 5 inch FHD - LTPS 2.Tablet.- 12 inch FHD - LTPS 3.Memory.- 3 GB RAM 4.Chipset.- Snapdragon 805

  • kitkat as been annonced depending where you live (USA, europe) you should have it available at worst in late october

  • Can we divided the monitor for multi viewer e.g Samsung tab

  • Can Software update to latest android software?

  • Is padfone stationary same with infinity and infinity 2?

  • Yes, it works, I tried it and already using it

  • will the old Asus padfone infinity docking station work with the Infinity 2 handset ?

  • Can i get this phone in qatar....

  • if buy from ebay (other country), send to ur country than how about the warranty claim? are u need to send back where u bought this from to claim warranty ?

  • I'm looking forward to the Android KitKat for this phone.

  • are this phoone release in malaysia ?any1 fom malaysia ? where i can get it in malaysia?

  • No :)

  • i want to ask u guys, does the tablet work without the phone?

  • I have owned this device with the dock for over 6 months now. Wonderful and fast device to rival the top phones which cost the same, the advantage to this is the ease to swap to a tablet. Living the the UK it is difficult to get accessories, but I have managed to get a Micro-USB to USB adapter, cases for both the phone and the tablet and an in-car kit. Just need a Micro-USB to HDMI and then I am all sorted. Only, down side to this after upgrading from the first PadFone is the lack of keyboard dock. They now do a bluetooth keyboard with case but that drains battery, instead of expanding.

  • As a Padfone Infinity user, unless you live in Asia, I would be very careful about purchasing this phone. Asus is not represented outside of Asia, it is very hard to find accessories like for example, a good case. The hardware will definitely NOT let you down. Very snappy and plays all games. Battery is good. Still, I would say other brands present "safer" options.

  • Actually, there has been a press release in November that there will a 4.4 Kitkat update in Q1 of 2014. So that's no valid argument. They are faster with 4.4 than most other companies.

  • Hmm Asus u want to try making Padfone X on Windows side ? WP 8 (3 Tiles size) 5 inch display and Windows 8.1 9 inch display on 1 price.

  • Thanks for the heads up. I'm waiting for the Padfone X just hope it works in Canada.

  • i advice you guys to dont buy padfon 2 because i have one the fon lcd got turn off only after 2mounths..

  • Doez it come with a phone and a tablet when you buy it? Or you have to buy the tablet separately?

  • oooh it's very exceptional antutu benchmark in my device is 36040 and this handi is so beautiful

  • There's no difference between the two in terms of capacity and life.

  • its called The "new PadFone Infinity" not "PadFone Infinity 2"

  • Will this phone be release in Luxembourg ???

  • Dear Kamath, that is a weak reason switching to another tablet or using a padfone would take the same time...

  • Its about the value you assess than the cost. For some business people, the time it saves to go from phone form to tablet form to enhance their experience of replying to an e-mail, and the quick extended battery life itself worth the extra cost.

  • How can I get in bangladesh????????

  • Is this avaliable in the UK?

  • Why Asus quietly changes battery from Li-Ion to Li-Pol? As we all know, Li-Ion is a better battery technology!

  • Asus should learn about timely release , many product announcements but no actual product at least in the UK and good customer support and software updates, lots of complaints about this. In this particular case, Asus talks about innovation by removing the need for two processors, RAM, SSDs, 3G/LTE. All good but trying to charge people more than a decent phone and tablet. People are intelligent enough to pick up fully functional decent phone and tablet with less cost. It should be released promptly and phone and tablet screen costing well below £500. Otherwise Asus will not have a chance.

  • When launched in malaysia

  • Dont buy it... leave the goods for the ones that appreciate excellent gadgets... I had used for me 2 months in a trip wo/ laptop and docking.... everything was done through the pf2... a very good reminder that I did not have to caring the dead weight of a laptop....

  • Don't waste time buying this, by the time android 4.5 comes out, you will still be on jellybean 4.2.2 & very-very Low possibility you'll get 4.3. & STUCK, even with a great processor, which might still can run 5.0 even... Stuck....

  • When can i get this phone in Singapore?

  • i uses the padfone and padfone 2. so far the ui is good. many useful widget too. but i am seriously giving it a pass for infinity and infinity 2. maybe i will wait for model, or i will end up having too many tablet at home.

  • Will this phone ever come to the uk.. been waiting for the previous infinity but no luck..

  • will padfone infinity need to wait infinitely in future upgrades? for us using padfone A66 till padfone A68. we are still infinitely hoping for jellybean upgrade. too many bug... wish some custom ROM developer can make one... Asus donate... make your phone more value, we pay premium price... but slow support :(.

  • It Is available in Taiwan. You can buy it over Ebay

  • 4.2 inches screen? if you are Not struggling to see things up close especially if you are above 40 years old. they have answer the call for a sd slot. but still i tHink they need to improve on the docking, if they dun have any improvement on it. it cost almost 400sgd for the infinity version. which i could buy a decent laptop with.

  • Has this phone been released? If so, can anyone let me know where I can pick it up?

  • does anybody know where i can get infinity or infinity 2 in the uk on contract?? i know i can get padphone 2 from Carphonewarehouse but im more interested in the infinity. any advice appreciated cheers

  • Please make this available internationally, such a wonderful product but being limited only to few countries :(

  • asus please sell only phone not pad+fone together.

  • i think padfone one which is mini still my favorite which i still use until now even i have my sony ultra docking plus keyboard can 2 day dun need charge esp travel or stay cation , hope they dump the lousy concept of padfone 2 and move on , padfone one i installed autocad, officesuite, wifipro, sketch, adobe photoshop , and slashtop and ezpdf , just pay a bit more my padfone is like netbook which let me use 48hr without any plug in power , as for padfone 2 OMG is so big and the battery is.... with the tablet so hard plug in when i on the go without the keyboard ... 5hour say no more batt.. and padfone 2 keep have bootup problem i change infinity worest on hand 3 day only blackout... go back repair take 2 week no phone.. never trust padfone 2 concept again . only look out for padfone mini WITH DOCKING KEYBOARD

  • This would be the next big thing if only the specs were better... It is a pity to waste such a brilliant idea with low specs for battery, sunlight visibility, RAM should be 3G, internal memory 128GB. In this market segment, money talks and we need the best thing in the market. Watch your back guys... the concept is great but may be other makers will benefit from the idea with better specs...

  • What a wonderful idea... combination of phone and tablet dock. But come on Asus, please give us better specs on: Battery capacity - at least 3200mAh Internal memory - give us 128GB + SD card 64GB Sunlight visibility... rumors have it that it is poor I would love to go for this phone and tablet docking station but... meet the specs of Galaxy Note III at least please!

  • Perfect Device. Great design, So powerful and the best build quality. ASUS ftw

  • When will it be coming to Singapore?

  • How, it's not even out yet?

  • lil you are joking the battery is pretty decent it can last for 10 to 14hrs with regular usage i know it because i have one...

  • sun did you ever use the phone?i bet not i have have padfone infinty and my battery can last for 14hrs with regular use....

  • I am talking about 2400mAh for a phone with a 5" full hd screen and SD800

  • Padfone Station with 10.1 inches IPS display, 1920 x 1200 pixels, *5000 mAh battery*, front camera. 264.6 x 181.6 x 10.6 mm, 532 grams. it's on the body section! So it has a total of 7400mah battery witch is pretty decent!

  • bad phone......and freak cpu Quad Core in asus.....

  • ASUS please make padfone with 5.5" phone display and 7" tablet dock. 5" phone display is too big when you have handy tablet dock -> fail. ASUS please make padfone with the same spec but with 4"-4.3" phone display. And please add removable battery.

  • - Padfone Station with 10.1 inches IPS display, 1920 x 1200 pixels, 5000 mAh battery, front camera. 264.6 x 181.6 x 10.6 mm, 532 grams.

  • 5000 mAh battery :)

  • The 2400mAh is for the phone by itself, the tablet attachment adds an extra 5000mAh. But yes, 2400mAh for a phone with a 5" full hd screen and SD800 is pretty stupid.

  • It's a phone, tablet station got 5000 mAh

  • Really a great device. I love the idea but, what's the reason for a 5 inch mobile that converts into a 10 inch tablet? You know in this device you want a 3.7 to 4.2 mobile for your pocket and a 10 inch dock for when you need bigger screen. I think.

  • The tablet has 5000 mAh battery for itself.

  • The phone has 2400 thentab has 5000, so in total it has 7400

  • The tablet has 5000 mAh battery for itself.

  • Need 4G network LTE for USA version!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Make some... I want to buy it badly but LTE to be 700/1700 for USA....

  • sorry for using world but no body gave this one a *beep* this time!!!! so stupid and .... announce also:D

  • Good idea

  • An android os tab with 2400 mAh battery???? Sooo... Sad....

  • This will rot just like all the other Padfones from Asus

  • The bezels should have been minimized.

  • I love the design and spec. and would like to have one, but Asus PadFone Infinity 1 was not available in all countries in Europe. I wonder if this one will be more available? It seems like Asus distribution network is not as good as Samsung's, Apple's or LG's.

  • It should be LTE cat.4 150Mbps DL
