Motorola Moto G6 Plus - User Reviews

  • First, I am from the U.S. second, I canNOT find a wireless company here in the states that are compatible with the Moto g6Plus. What the HELL IS GOING ON? This phone is the BEST I have ever had, and I want to keep it. However, if things such as finding a friggin wireless carrier here in the states, this quite beautiful phone will be wiped clean and sent back.

  • phone is absolutely worthless.. gets permanently dead even with little water damage.. neither reparable

  • Can someone help me i have the same issue

  • Sony has a better batery life if hat´s what you´re after. I think the Moto is more ergonomic and also has super bright screen!

  • With my pretty old Wi-Fi hotspot I also had problems with the g6plus. Again and again, connections were lost. I then bought a current model with MU-MIMO. Since then everything works great. It may be that the g6plus is too impatient.

  • How did you get this bro., i have old security patch of June 2018. Not updating.

  • i have problem in wi fi connection, unseticfide

  • The phone is pretty good.Iuse it Moto Z Play but its time to change.Ifuckin love Moto.

  • Motorola Sony and Siemens was top 3. Use it all, good quality and durable. G6 f1,7 is flagship standar, someone win pro contest use xz1

  • It's have face unlock

  • what about arcore feature ?

  • Moto g6 plus has a much better camera. The rest is very even.

  • The Pie update works for the two phones in our household. Maybe you have some interference in the 2.5GHz band at your location, otherwise make a warranty claim.

  • don't do the pie update it totally ruins the phone bad wifi and problems with bluetooth and motorola don't know why and won't help

  • Short answer, YES, you can pay double and triple for another phone, but WHY? You voice will not get to the other caller any SLOWER, the display is terrific, battery life is as good as any other, it has all the bells and whistles. Why would anyone in their right mind pay 2 or 3 times the price for the other BAUBLES.

  • Yes.

  • guys should i buy this?

  • Remember the Nexus 5 long gone but not forgotten. The Motorola Moto G6+ carries the same mantle a medium priced good all rounder - battery infinitely better & sound/volume as well logical improvements to the core of essential base line Android Pie still without excessive overlays of unwanted watery themes & such like. Pick one up & try it your wallet will be next. SUPERSHOPPER/NZ

  • If we consider the latest software updates which phone has the better overall cameras in hardware and in practice...The XA2 Ultra or the Moto G6 Plus?

  • Not a fan of the camera. Its useless in bad lighting. Screen resolution is bad. Old Gorilla Glass version (3). It doesnt have 6 GB of RAM as this page says. No wireless charging, so take care of the charging port. Battery is excellent though and the price is good. Just got updated to Android Pie which made the phone much faster and smoother. Points: 7 out of 10. Would be 9 if the camera was better and it had the newest version of Gorilla Glass. Already some minor scratches on mine :(

  • It's 15th of april 2019 and I am still stuck on June 2018 patch on Oreo. How did you get the update. I am starting to worry......

  • Cammera is Not good. the photos come out with little definition and blur when magnifying, even in full daylight and clean lens

  • Just got Android Pie in the Netherlands.

  • It is available now, I got update on March 9, 2019. On my Moto G6+ in Pakistan.

  • 10/10 Amazing Phone Network never drops the signal below 4G+ The size and body style is very comfortable and perfect for my bigger hands, the build quality feels amazing I just love the materials used. Display resolution is very good I do not see any pixels the fonts and icons are sharp. I bought mine with Android 8.0 after the initial security updates for October, November and December it upgraded to Android 9 without any issues the phone got faster and I like the UI even more. Mine is with 4GB Ram and 64GB storage space which for my needs is more than enough. The rear cameras are really good which I use to take pictures of documents and stuff to share on my work chat and the text is sharp as it gets, I just took couple pictures with the front camera and it's decent enough, but again I do not have any need for it. What I did not expected was the speaker which surprised me in a good way and I really like it, it's my first phone with forward facing speaker and I can't go back to anything else from now on. I will finish with my favorite part of the phone which is the finger print reader I LOVE IT! it detects my fingers (I set up my thumb, point and middle finger) from every angle it functions as navigation buttons and it's really accurate works really really well. I'm glad I gave chance to Motorola and I'm happy with my choice to purchase this phone.

  • I have owned phone for a few weeks and it is exceptional value for money. If you have thought about getting a new phone and want something that is actually going to last and compete with the flagship phones for much much less - this is the phone for you. The specs of this phone Vs iPhone xs, galaxy s9 /S10 etc are clear to see you get 6gb of ram and 64gb storage + additional SD card slot 128 or 256gb . Phone is Android and quick to get the hang of has a very clear screen great cameras great battery life. Fast charging and has all of the things you expect of a high end phone except the price. I would recommend to anyone and why pay much more for an iPhone s9/s10 that's slower ? If your unsure by all means go to any carphone warehouse and they will show you everything you need to see. Don't get scammed buying a cheap & old Samsung/iPhone for the same price .

  • I am still waiting for android pie in Pakistan, Do you have any idea for android pie update in Pakistan ?

  • The android 9.0 update has been releases in every country but Not in Pakistan? Do I have to wait for the 9.0 or I've to forget it?

  • Still no Android Pie for the EU version. Native SIP is not supported. Camera useless at low light. Highly disappointing.

  • sorry to hear that, well i tried galaxy note and iphone but back to motorola. first try backup and reset, i still use xt1053 from 2103, except battery ot as strong 5y a go, rest still working flawless, my friend even still use moto defy from 2012 but using custom OS

  • In terms of overall loudness and clarity (with a bit of bass) which one has the better speakers...the Moto G6 Plus or the OnePlus 6?

  • Trying to compare the Moto G6 Plus with the Nokia 7.1. My question is re the Android 9 Pie update for the Moto phone. 1. Does it have option for systemwide dark theme? (including the Settings menu) 2. Does the selfie camera have EIS or screen flash? 3. Does it now have NFC and blue light filter shortcut toggle? Can you set the time for blue light filter to turn on? 4. What bitrate (in kbps) is the audio recorded during video? And in what format? 5. Does it have the "Clear All" option in the multitasking pane? 6. Does it support full Android 9 Pie gestures similar to the Pixel ? 7. Are you able to customise the Google search bar on the main screen? (e.g. change size, colour, transparency, etc.) 8. IS there a Wide angle selfie camera? And does it have autofocus? 9. Are there any additions to Moto actions? Cheers everyone.

  • I have a Motorola G4, which I really liked...when it worked ! It was replaced under warranty (went bad only after a few months), and only one and a half year in, the new one went also bad (was often flaky)... and Motorola tell me they cannot (or don't want) to do anything about it, don't even repair or support this model anymore, etc... So my next phone (very soon) will not be a Motorola phone, which is a shame, but I have now lots of alternatives. Please consider companies who stand behind their products to purchase a new phone. PS: Just got a new phone that I really love, unfortunately it does not work with T-Mobile in the US...according to both t-mobile and Sony (Firmware is not adequate etc..), so again I have no better choice than return it. I don't know yet which company to recommend for new phone, but outside of the "two giants" (Samsung, and Apple), lots of choices: the emerging winners will be in my view companies with great validation procedures as well as reasonable product support.

  • G6 Plus is my third Motorola - first the Defy, then the 4G version of the first-gen G (my wife ended up getting one of these too) so when we finally decided to upgrade again, we stuck with the Motorola, and both bought G6 Plus. Performance has been satisfying for us - but we're not power users, not gaming or regularly streaming video. Being modest users, we can often get nearly 2 days out of a charge. I've seen a few comments that the fingerprint scanner doesn't work but we've had no problem with it (except when we try to unlock each other's phone, so probably a good thing my wife's finger doesn't unlock my phone). My one BIG complaint is that the glass back cracked for no apparent reason, and there are a number of similar complaints on the Motorola user forum, but Motorola are denying any responsibility for it.

  • I want to know if someone knows about android pie update in centro america??

  • Having used the G6 and G6 Play I can say the whole series is well designed and easy to use. However, the G6 Plus camera is awesome and even the battery is good for a days normal usage. So far no problems.

  • I live in NZ as well. My old Moto G4Plus has a battery management issue that a new battery and factory default didn't fix. Looking at the G6 Plus but they're so darn expensive and hard to fined. Way cheaper on Amazon . Maybe use an old Nexus 4 on the meantime and wait for the G7 Plus to come out or buy a Nokia but I need dual SIM so not sure if the Nokia phones here in NZ have them.

  • Finally moto g6 plus - Android™ 9.0 Pie Release Notes

  • No heating issue

  • If possible check the performances of the said mobiles side by side and decide for yourself.

  • Why Sony man? The Xperia XA2 only have 3GB/32GB ram and storage respectively... So, the Moto G6 Plus is far better...

  • If you are specific about 630 SOC you may go for Sony.

  • this phone or Sony XA2 ultra?

  • What is battery timing?

  • I have purchased my Moto g6 plus three months ago and I didn't feel any heating issues. Very good phone so far

  • Hi there,, please guys any one can help me with this question! Is there heating issue with Moto g6 plus!? Thanks

  • Update to my previous message... Display graphics ( Aspect ratio and resolution ) are actually governed by the GPUs of the individual SOCs. Lower the resolution, lower the power consumption and lower the heat generated. But, there is hardly more details of the GPUs of the individual SOCs. Nvidea Tegra K1 was very famous for its GPU and not for its processor. It is this GPU that should be accounted for Graphic Intensive Tasks like games, photo editing, etc. To end up, there is no capable mobile device as capable as an x86 desktop though everyone dreams of one. Let us keep on dreaming. Good Luck.

  • Hi, since you are aware of software and hardware architectures much better, I'd like to share a valid piece of information. Just check the display resolution supported by Snapdragon 630 and the display resolution of G6 Plus. The higher RAM is for the firmware to support the display resolution of the device. The firmware has to reside in memory at all times for the display to function which eats a considerable portion of memory. All these problems are because of the new display aspect ratio standard 18:9. Motorola G6 Plus is a solid device with an outdated SOC which can't support its display resolution natively. Some of the SOCs that can support the display resolution of G6 Plus are Snapdragon 660, 710, 845, etc. But, in particular only the Snapdragon 710, 845, 670, 636, etc. can support the 18:9 aspect ratio effectively. We shouldn't forget the fact that all Snapdragon processors come under ARM architecture and NOT under x86 architecture. Though there are plenty of things to discuss no one cares. Good Luck.

  • n the biggest drawback is not updating or late updating software.

  • Indians often go behind phones that has huge RAMs thats why you see OEMs increasing their RAM almost every 6 months just to play with Customer minds. I guess if they really know about computing. The highlight of the Motorola phones have been their software optimization and to me it is the best in the Android segment. My 3 year old Droid Turbo 2 easily handles the mutlitasking even today and it just has 3 gb RAM.

  • On phone number 3 and it's going back as well. Loudspeaker on all 3 goes quiet after you've taken a call. Volume controls then don't work, ringer media and alarm until you've restarted phone. Also does this in safe mode. Obviously a manufacturing fault that Motorola won't admit.

  • I think G5 is far better than G6 series, the design was great but why must with big screen?? 5.7 inch wtf? Not everyone is comfortable with huge display screen...Note, it can damaged your eyes!! Plus with outgone processor, low ram and old USB connector and always having major hardware issues, I already started to fell this series will drop downs the Motorola reputations sales F*** Lenovo destroying Motorola company,

  • Because not everyone is indian and one power is only available in india

  • Funny thing is I bought 1+6 in 26k (with offer) and Moto charging 23k 4 a sd630 phone.....#poor #G6 and #G6 plus buyers.....I permanently get rid of #Motorola and hopefully never have to come back...... Please tell me why would someone purchased G6 and G6 plus when you have one power in 15k...with much better specifications....#ConfusedMoto #LenovoKilledMotorola

  • Did you ever get this resolved? Thanks, e

  • Charging port is broke in two days.

  • Display is broken, after fallen from just 2 feet above on carpet.

  • Battery is very week.

  • Screen pixel is easily visible.

  • Terrible battery life, sound quality is also low.

  • u think have a smart move by buying moto well done..

  • From New Zealand the Motorola MotoG6 plus has the right pricing & credentials to hold its own in any company Replaced my weary Nexus 5 after a stalwart 4 yrs Android vanilla great no watery themes or other nuisances to impose on general use. Had a week only so initial impressions complementary so far. Wifi could be a problem in connectivity with other phones not cafes. Big 5.9” not always better but happy IÂ’ve spent wisely not extravagantly on ever spiraling Apple priced phones & the SE is doing nicely thankyou SupershopperNz / ROD Clements

  • mi note 5 pro is best phone

  • u mean 6 inch diaplay with 720p resolution , Snapdragon 425 is awesome..

  • time to buy other mobiles

  • Once Moto G stood high as a leader among budget smart phones. Moto G series (from 2013 to 2015) offered the best value for money devices compared to its competitors. Now this seems going straight way reverse

  • I fear this expectation may goes in vain. Considering the fact that Moto G5S Plus didn't received Oreo update till, Lenovo may deny next Android update for Moto G6 Plus also. Very sad to see the condition of Motorola

  • what this phone for 22500 oh god whats going on in moto

  • No Moto e5 plus is very very very awesome phone

  • What do you think is best smartphone of these samsung j7 prime, xiaomi redmi s2 ,huawei y7 prime 2018 or moto g5 plus which one should i buy from these phones especially for camera

  • If u r from india, Z2 play. At 18k, its awesome deal. My friend bought it. Great display, cam, design.. Go for it.

  • Its cheaper because it is having cheap components. Display is worst that it started showing blue lines all over

  • Go for Zenfone Max Pro M1 instead! all versions available (even the ones with 6 GB of RAM) this time no flash-sale! much cheaper with up to date SDM636 and much bigger battery!!! and regularly updates, best community support as well.

  • As fare as I know all (or nearly all) 2! years old Zenfones running on Oreo long time ago!

  • correct

  • This phone will be Dead on Arrival with outdated specs at hefty price(22K INR).

  • Boycott Motorola Lenovo in lndia Unless and until they launch phone at a proper price. From :moto g5 plus owner

  • Shitty camera waste specifications

  • ✍️, Don't buy Lenovo Moto 6 Plus powered by SD 630 chepset the fact is that SD 630 is not as optized as that of SD 625 which was found in most of the devices including Moto G 5 Plus and Moto G 5s Plus.Lenovo Moto G 6 Plus will never compete with Nokia 6.1 Plus (sd 636),Max Pro M1 (sd 636),Redmi Note 5 Pro (sd 636) even Reame1 (Helio P 60) is better than Moto 6 5 Plus.No Android update.Moto G 5 Plus still running on the 7.0 N update.Don't trust any Lenovo Moto devices.

  • whats the use of releasing g6 plus now with 630 snapdragon we already have moto x4

  • Being a moto g5 plus i urge to you guys that to not buy this phone. Its better to go for something else.22k for this phone and sd630 is not worth at all. After 6 months this will be sold at price of peanut.Moto is living in 2015 they have not analysed the Indian market. This same mistake was done by Asus a year ago. PS: Its been more than 1 yr and we have not received Oreo so think about that as well.Pie has already launched

  • A notch display, better display and processor and a pure Moto experience with regular updates is what could have made this Moto G6 plus a storm in today's market.. Nothing else ... I repeat nothing else. I have OnePlus 6 and Moto g5 plus.

  • No OIS fornrrar camera. No sAMPLED display. No dedicated memory card slot. Rip moto.

  • Honor is good. Lenovo on the other hand is becoming obsolete.

  • I feel custom UI is better due to it's feature richness. Vanilla android is straight forward and also quite boring. Sure it maybe tad faster but I'm quite ok with that. It's not like you're lagging 10-20 minutes on custom UI. But yes it's a total personal preference.

  • Moto Z2 Play or G6 Plus, especially in terms of camera quality, what do you think???

  • According motorola blog ,Android Pie will be served up this fall for moto g6 plus, moto g6,moto g6 play depends on market

  • Looks cheap in quality compared similar range other brand phones .Also no news about future updates.Only vanilla android is the big point buy this phone .Runs smooth.

  • Just because something has themes doesn't make it better than another handset. It's purely down to taste what people want. If you don't like the Motorola then don't buy it

  • Buy OnePlus 6

  • YOu are comparing a 300 euro phone to a 600 euro phone what do u expect

  • May I ask what security issues? BTW how is the camera quality and video sound captured ?

  • do for nokia 6.1 or note 5 pro

  • As a phone it serves its purpose. There are some security issues to be solved.

  • Thank you very much...I appreciate your comments.

  • Honor has nothing to do with this phone, are you drunk?

  • Because Huaweis bloatware is rubbish

  • G6 Plus is a higher mid-range phone with very good specs for the price. Currently I believe it to be the best you can get for that money. Never bought a G series till the G6 Plus so it's early to tell, but based on the two Xes and the specs, this one should be snappy too in 5 years. I didn't have any problems in buying it. Let me know if you're happy with it.

  • I am going to buy my very first new phone... Moto G6 + ....as being newly retired, is this a good purchase ?... your honest opinion please... a second choice would be welcomed... tks.

  • Fck all honor every honor phone is worst n poor in all aspects,

  • After being scrwed over with my moto X4 (releasing on 7.0 so they could avoid treble), and basically making a lot of profit that they should invest in creating a Better user experience.. I made the plunge and seriously.. Honor 10 best phone on the market right now price/quality wise, everythings great except the fingerprint scanner but it works Everytime just a little bit slower than most. Lack of Microsd can be compensated by plugging an OTG usb type-c adapter into any usb stick in time of need. If you can afford it buy this one, it is worth the extra 100 euros. Cheaper phonez will have Cheaper screens etc. The blacks in the honor 10 are almost as dark as amoled, similar to moto x4. Better step up your game Motorola.

  • Having a bit of trouble getting Consumer Cellular to determine what chips my new Moto G6 Plus will need and whether this phone will work if I continue to use them as my provider. I called them before I ordered the phone and their only concern at that time was that it was GSM. Any thoughts or input would be much appreciated.

  • What is the hole on the top of the phone next to the sim tray? Is it a microphone? The gloss finish makes it really hard to see where you have to stick the pin in... let's leave that thought there.

  • Why would I buy this phone instead if the Honor 10? For a bit more money, the honor ten gives much better camera, smaller more handy phone, bigger screen to body ratio with deeper blacks in the screen(closer to amoled like the MotoX4) Honor also provises HiSuite to downgrade to previous firmware incase an updates runs buggy. Clean android UI isnt that big of a deal IMO, in fact I like how EMUI has the inbuilt options to choose different color themes.

  • how is the performance?

  • did you drop the phone?

  • Is it sensitive towards water ? A splash of water hit the table were all the families smart phones was staked - this one died immediately but all other smartphones survived (Samsung, iphone and Nokia) were we just out of luck ?

  • I have problems with my phone, they do not listen to me when I make or receive calls, the problem is not constant, I reset it but after a while the fault is presented again.

  • No news for future updates .Nokia now use 8.1 android .Also what about security updates

  • Yes

  • Has anyone actually seen one of these in the gold colour ? Any clues where to buy one ? Nothing on eBay or Amazon. Cheers

  • Is Motorola g6 plus FM radio RDS supported? I love this feature, anyone who can tell me.

  • moto g6 plus support wireless screen cast?plz tell me.

  • Nokia is not dead they are selling alot of phones, Be quiet

  • GSM Arena i cannot believe you said the camera was average. I have one and the dynamic range using HDR is superb as is the detail captured

  • Reading the manual will not fix Motorolas many hardware problems!

  • Great phone

  • Looks to me nexus 6 is better than this phone

  • Will it come in India?

  • Read manuall how to use phone newbie or buy made in heaven lol

  • Moto stand from beginning, nokia is dead, completely different. motorola much better innovation

  • tell me

  • buy x6

  • buy nokia x6 forget Moto i have moto g5 plus ..till now no oreo

  • Had this phone since it came out. Amazing phone. Fast and smooth. 4GB ram is a treat. Camera has fast autofocus and takes nice pictures. Although the Moto actions app and app dialer always lags when pressed. Always. Don't know.

  • Stick with Moto.. You know why when you have it in your hands.

  • You need to make batteryadjustments in settings.

  • Like..Sony and iPhone And Samsung And Huawei And Nokia

  • Moto G6 Plus. You know it when you hold it in your hand..

  • So many good things. Good screen. Vibrent colours Avery Bright screen in sunlight Good speakers Lightweight. Moto gestures. Android P Waterproof And..LOW PRICE And only 3,5 out of 5 stats... SOMETHING'S NOT RIGHT HERE..

  • But am confused with moto g6 plus or Nokia x6 ....

  • GSMArena had problems with defect camera, and other reviewers had problem with lose USB connector, so you have to be very lucky if you buy a problem free phone from Motorola! Motorola have the worst quality control, some phones are perfect buy just as many have fatal problems!

  • Had the phone for a couple of days, first impressions were that its pretty thick, felt cheap in the hand. Screen didnt wow but then i am coming from an amoled screen. Speed and performance are fine, no issues, camera is fine - not the most vivid but fine. Battery life is fair, could easily get through a heavy day with 25% left - not a 2 day phone though. The camera bump sucks though, it protrudes through the majority of cases so im a bit worried about durability given the phone now rests on the camera. Tried 3 different cases and none fixed this. Im already looking at replacing it, ideally with something that offers much better battery life, it seems a lot of the good battery phones from 2017 have suffered in the battery department after recent updates.

  • Why you regret your decision ?

  • go for this one, i have n7 + and i regret my decision.....

  • moto g6 plus or nokia 7 plus?

  • A very good midrange without infrared , radio + rds ,and USB 3.1 + otg. With having the missing , it could have been the best ascending midrange of the year with 300 money.Nevertheless it is a rugged smartphone supporting by Google .Good luck Lenovo Motorola(China made )o make the best in high ends too....

  • Prediction: Everyone in the USA who has a Moto G5+ will stay with what they've got. The Moto X4 has a better processor, but the 5.2" screen is basically the same as the G5+. The Moto G6 has a larger screen, but a downgraded processor. Only the G6+ has the across the board upgrades that would appeal to the G5+ crowd.

  • You gotta to compare plus to plus. The G5 (non-plus) had a SD430. The G6 has SD450. G5+ had SD625 and the G6+ has the SD630. Incremental but welcome upgrades.

  • Moto G6 has got Qualcomm SDM450 Snapdragon 450 processor, where as Moto G5plus has got Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625. Why the processor has been degraded in moto6 ?

  • confuse in Moto G6 or wait for Nokia X6..Please suggest

  • Yes you are right . Moto may be successful even better if it changes its design

  • Today (4th June 2018), Moto launches Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play in India. What is the expected date of launching the Moto G6 plus ?

  • although the specs are good enough but I think they need to redefine their phone design

  • G5 plus and G5s plus use the SD625. G6 plus uses a SD630. There's a difference.

  • Moto g 6 plus

  • never. too close to x4

  • When will it come to the USA?

  • snapdragon 630 scores about 90K in current antutu . you can compare with snapdragon 636 which scores 110K in antutu . which means it is 20% slower .

  • But when A2 is launching india

  • After the over take of Motorola by Lenovo the products quality has gone too down. A time is there when we get best from only Motorola but a day has come when I suggest everyone to go for Honor. It's better and cheaper 2.

  • M also a moto fan ,but i will suggest to buy mi A2

  • In Germany market ,looks less quality phone than G5 series

  • After launch of this phone was very disappointed with its sd630 processor because had used g4 and g5s plus in past. In the end just decided to move for mi a2 in India and suddenly got news about new g6 plus model with snapdragon 660 and 6gb ram. Will wait for moto g6 plus if the news is true.

  • This mobile is cast with TV or Leptop???????????

  • Dose anyone know the Bluetooth Format on G6+? LDAC or just APTX HD? That is one of my selection point...hope someone knows~~~~

  • MOTOROLA NEVER AGAIN. After owning Motorola's since the first Moto X (when it was Google) and recommending it to a lot of people, I'm done with them. Recently my girlfriend Moto Z Power Edition started to have several issues with the battery just 2 months after the warranty was over. I contacted some technical services specialized in replacing batteries to ask how much would cost to replace it and they DENIED doing the service because they had done this on literally hundreds of Moto Z in the past months and after 1 or 2 months the phones came again with the same problem, which indicates it's a hardware failure and not the battery itself. So I went out to research about it on specialized sites we have here in Brazil about user complain / reviews and found out a MASSIVE number of reports (literally thousands) with this same issue across our country, which indicates a batch manufacturing problem. And this appears to be not exclusive to Moto Z but also some Moto G5 / G5S and E line, so basically all lines from Motorola. I then contacted Motorola and Lenovo customer service to ask if they were aware of this and how they are handle it, and they just ignored me over and over and over, and to this day there's hundreds of complains not answered and my requests are being ignored, because here the laws do nothing to protect the customer. So, FOR ME, Motorola never again. It doesn't matter if the phones are good, a company that doesn't acknowledge a massive issue like this and doesn't reply to loyal customers doesn't deserve my money, and I'll spread this history whenever I can so people are aware of this issue and how the company handles their customers.

  • Motorola always announced new models but launches new model late!!! other players wins on moto here!!! We expect discount in price by comparing with others!!! Common Moto move fast!!!

  • I'd go for HMD Global X6

  • very much confused.. b/w NOKIA 6.1- NOKIA X6- MOTO G6 PLUS- MOTO G5S PLUS. plz help me ??????

  • This is a phone and it is a phone with phone capabilities. It's good for playing roblocks!

  • Still not update for RETLA channel getting worried. still on march security patch

  • Available online in Mexico.

  • It is available, yesterday i bought mine.

  • yes but what is more useful to you processor when you have a bad screen and a quality of pessimism and an identical phone to all the other Chinese

  • It will cost same as new nokia6. Both are good but Nokia6 has better design

  • I bet battery will drain as hell

  • Xiaomi Mui vs pure android and build quality ?

  • Too expensive. For the same money or less you can get a Snapdragon 660 powered Xiaomi MI6X..

  • Not available in Mexico .Only in Europe and Brazil

  • I bought this phone last week here in Mexico for about $385 US dollars, is the dual sim version 64GB internal/4GB Ram, not dissapointed at all, come with NFC and digital compass

  • About photo quality reading review of Moto G6 plus is a question too .Looks similar current cheaper Moto G5s which most opinion suprise for the quality vs Moto G5s plus

  • I don't undestand Moto marketing.Phone dimension is about 160x75.5 mm .Difficult to handle and read pages . Ideal width of this phone is about 88 mm phablet size .Also build quality and real perfomance in practice is a question vs G5s plus .No information if compass an NFC included depends on market

  • It has a front-facing camera light, but it does not have a notification light.

  • Moto g6 Plus have a notification light or not?

  • Too bad I'll be buying xiaomi redmi note 5 tomorrow with snapdragon 636 and 4000 mah. I wanted to wait for this phone because of its camera and the chipset is not that far of but I'll be sticking with xiaomi since it's cheaper and I'm really more into gamings than selfies.

  • You don't even know its price yet. And easily the G6 Plus has a better camera than Vivo V9. Vivo V9 doesn't have a camera with a wide f/1.7 aperture, large 1.4 micrometer pixels, dual pixel AF, etc. I've seen the ads of the V9, all fake info. There's no such thing called as a shot refocus. Literally any phone can blur out details if you install a photo editing app.

  • What about prize?

  • I want this phone to come to India soon with different colours. Black looks good from the back but not so good from the front. When is it coming to India? I want it to come as soon as possible. And if this phone is priced below ₹18K ,it will be great. The 'G' Series is meant to be budget friendly and paying more than ₹20K for 'G' Series just won't make sense. Why won't someone buy Redmi Note 5 Pro at lower price and better specs. Thanks. Looks like a good phone though!

  • NO G6 Plus in America.

  • Please please hurry up with the review of this device, dear gsm arena :-))

  • I will wait for Moto g6s plus

  • It doesn't look like that Moto g6 plus is going to be released in India in May. Last month it was reported that it will be launched in Asian countries first. But it was released in America and Europe first. Lenovo is not interested in Asian markets. It's secondary for them.

  • When the phone full come

  • does it has turbo charging

  • Have you ever use this phone before?? how long?? how can u saying this phone is'nt worth it? just dont underestimate the Smartphone without using it first ma friend

  • is Vivo v9 has an NFC?

  • It should. I'm sure memo Xpress will have it in stock soon. I want to upgrade from my Moto e4 plus ;)

  • It should. I would be very surprised if it didn't

  • Can i know that when it will be available in INDIA?

  • what frames are in G6 and G6 Plus? Lpddr3 or Lpddr4? Who nows?

  • Does moto g 6 plus support wireless display? Screen mirroring with smart tv?

  • Is this handset gonna be available in the Philippines? I don't like devices with notches. I want a device that still looks different among the rest and this is one of the options I am considering.

  • 25000rs in India, it's not worth for money. Because Vivo V9 is a almost same configuration with better camera and 23000 only.

  • If Moto g6 Plus Sold in India 25,000, That is worth for Money. Because Vivo V7 Price is Just 23,000. We Compare that two mobiles, Vivo V7 is better then Moto G6plus. And Vivo V7 has a better Camera.

  • Can you do a review to compare Moto G5 plus vs Moto G6 plus please. Thanks

  • Fantastic mid ranger at a fantastic price.

  • Depends if you have a Google Chromecast or not.

  • I'm really jaded with phone companies these days. The whole $1000 for a top end phone is asinine. I will not drop that much money for a phone no matter how good. Especially when its going to be outdated in a year. (Planned obsolescence in general sucks) Since I'm grandfathered into my unlimited data plan with the big V, I either need to bring my own phone or get an unlocked one. My first foray into this was the Moto X pure, and what a phone it was. It's 2 years old, and soon no longer supported. The X4 was a huge let down and was hoping the G6 plus would be available. How are they not going to release the G6 plus in the US? I'm almost tempted to get the G5s plus. Its on sale, and should be be even cheaper once the g6 releases. I was huge fan of Motorola and their phones were a great value, but the g6 doesn't even film in 4K. I just don't get it.

  • I understand the G6 Plus will not be available in the U.S. Given this and late/non-existent updates on the existing Moto G4 & 5 phones in my family, I'm sadly saying goodbye to Motorola. Their formula of good hardware for the price and near stock Android was a winner with me but their poor update history has become a deal breaker.

  • This phone sud b 14k otherwise i will buy asus m1 pro or will wait for xiaomi 6x / mi A2

  • Motorola pushed a March 1 security update today for me on G5+. Was hoping it was Oreo but maybe next time.

  • I am using Moto G5 Plus...still running on January 2018 Security Patch.....and no Oreo update news...I have used almost all Moto G models....becoming worst on softaware updates..Plannning to shift other brand....thinking Mi A2

  • Correct..waste Motorola...almost i have used all Moto G models...now a days becoming worst on updates

  • Yes if it's unlocked. I've used cellphones from the Philippines in the states. Give the cell provider the IMEI number. If it's dual SIM then give both IMEI numbers for the SIM slots ;)

  • Moto has lost its way. Looking more like HTC every day.

  • Horrible, not expected from motorola , giving such price i would wonder there must be 660 processor, and completely bezel less. According to the phone look and features price must be same as moto g5s plus or a little high, but not such increase of 30%.

  • Motorola is becoming bad to worst day by day. I'm using moto g5plus and it is still running on Android nought. No oreo so far. I think redmi is far better than moto atleast he provide 1 gurantee update. I'm planning to buy nokia 7 plus over moto g6 plus.

  • Motorola must been joking with those fat bezel and ugly home button for an 18:9 phone display

  • Will I be able to use an Indian bought moto g6 plus in USA

  • When will it b available in India..???

  • Nic phone

  • Lol. What money in the name of Motorola? Motorola is still loosing money for Lenovo. And if u think zte have much more brand value than Lenovo, no more reply

  • Hello nokia & Google.. Ok.. How much Google pixel & nokia cost? There were nokia 6 with snapdragon 430 & single cam setup at the same of moto g5 plus. Why u didn't bought a pixel or nokia 6??

  • I read Motorola won't be releasing the G6 Plus in the USA, and the listed 4g bands reflect that

  • I was thinking of getting this one, but on second thought I wait for Moto Z 3

  • yes #METOO Bought moto g5 plus on the brand value of MOTOROLA but regretting now. Apart from software upgrade thing I never faced any problem with Motorola The smartphone experience is great the gesture control is very cool . especially the double chop and double twist but when comes to software upgrades Its almost a year there is no major os update (It's still on 7.0 , after 7 google published 7.1.1 and 8.0 and 8.1.1 even the 9 beta is available for the device) . When comes to security patches it's still on januaray . It's very bad motorola aka lenovo you are going to pay price for this and you are going to regret. YOUR SLOGAN IS HELLO MOTO RIGHT I WOULD SAY BYE MOTO HELLO NOKIA OR HELLO GOOGLE

  • this is not motorola anymore just carrying moto name its LENOVO G6 PLUS lenovo wants grab more money with using the name of moto the real price its much more less than 300euro

  • Been a Motorola user for years now, Motorola dissapoints me, this is barely an upgrade from the Moto G5s Plus, Motorola is dead to me now. Thank you for "listening" to your users opinions. Guess ill check Xiaomi and Huawei products from now on.

  • I think Nokia 6.1 is a better bet with Android One and a much more rugged unibody. I have G5 Plus, never upgraded beyond 7.0 yet. I think one security update in January.

  • bye motorola, going to xiaomi !

  • Thats zte. Its Motorola

  • I was a moto lover but now I disappointed. I am migrating to Nokia no security updates very lezy in android update sorry moto I still using g5 plus and long waiting for g6 plus. Still no update in g5 plus. 8 months passed very much disappointed. By moto

  • No LED notification again......

  • Tiny battery (I bet it will score below 80h in endurance rating), useless bottom bezel (they could at least add navigation buttons), and, on top of it all, a glass back which means that it will break on the first drop. Gorilla glass 3 is scratch resistant, but it breaks as normal glass once dropped. I cannot say I am disappointed as I did not expect much from this. There has been no good phone from Motorola since Z Play.

  • zte nubia z18 mini with SD660 JUST 230euro & this 300euro !!!!!!!!

  • Yes NFC available

  • Quite disappointed with specifications. Was waiting for so long for this phone to release. Just compare this phone with Mi Note 5 Pro. Moto should have used better processor like snapdragon 636, increased RAM to 6 GB, and higher battery of 4000 mAh. What were they thinking. Whenever you increase screen size, you must improve battery power too; otherwise it's of no use. All wait in vain. Lenovo is destroying the brand Motorola. Motorola should get its brand back from the hands of Lenovo.

  • Have a look at Moto X5 with ur own eye than seeing photos and complaining. Samsu J series and redmi phones are more apt for u

  • I have a nfc equipped phone from last 1 year. Really don't know it's use.

  • Still more bezels , screen to body ratio 74% whereas Redmi note 5 77% ,moto is no good in the hands of Lenovo and also processor and price is too ,usb type -C is good but it is 1.0 comnector i.e still the oldest usb Type -C ,in near future you'll availability issues....

  • no black color model?

  • NFC is available there on Moto G6 Plus

  • Support Cast Screen or Not?

  • moto g5 works well fnc no nesesario g6 6 memory fast

  • please give us good SOC with big battery !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • U should keep it in ur mind that moto g series is their mid level phone. X series is canceled because they will release their flagship device in z series ...

  • Obviously. They dont copy other design. They are in their own style ... MOTOROLA deserves respect.

  • Put a 5000mah battery in that and add NFC and that would be my next phone 100%

  • Body ratio 100/74 Goodbye moto

  • Hello moto you cancelled your beautiful x5 line up to launch this shitty phone with low grade processor and camera .. People have more knowledge than you about smartphone they can go with other alternatives with great specification insted of buying this shit .. Stop making us wasting our hard earned money on this bullshit .. Thakyou

  • 74 % screen to body lol

  • Released 04/19 in Brazil. 64GB storage/ 4GB ram.

  • no NFC is really a deal breaker for me

  • No nfc?

  • Almost 6.0" display and battery size of 3200mAh ? it is a deal breaker for me.

  • Wow just 160mm tall...How can they accommodate such a hardware in this small handset...

  • Even the X force supports APTX on custom roms, definitely it will.

  • Omg why do you hate the design they have their own originality unlike the other brands or i mean other chinese brands like xiaomi you know im a big fan of xiaomi but then they copied iphone x design for their redmi pro there no difference from the other copy cat brands..... I salute Motorola for having an original design and well build i hope they dont remove the fake chromes i dont really know what it called(the old design on phones) because it protect the screen from breaking when i accidentally drop my moto phone with the screen on the ground (no screen protector) it doest break or any scratch but i saw that theres a scratch on the corners the little line bump or i think it called the fake chrome......correct me if im wrong thank you

  • Phone is gorgeous for good price it will sell like fresh french baguette.

  • Just released in India and should compete with the Xiaomi Note 5 pro

  • So no apt-x support ? Does anyone know ?

  • Hate this design.especially the fingerprint scanner..did they really need to put stupid branding in the front..and what's up with the almost same battery size...no deal moto

  • Where can we buy this phone? Online or Stores only?

  • Its not 630 its a 660

  • Its a Good phone all moto g phones are good

  • Y u comparing moto with xiaomi ?? 4000 battery does need for this device. And moto g series is more classic than xiaomi redmi ...

  • Pls guys, don't buy any Lenovo moto phones, battery backup is very low. Hated this mobile, No more moto phones, Go for Redmi series.

  • Loose interest in Motorola phones after using so many models.Slowly phone starts to hang and switch off very suddenly battery is all ways dissapointable for users.

  • Wait for this or just go ahead and grab a Z Play?

  • Yeah.. I agree it's a mid-range phone..it has to be under 16k

  • Motorola manufacturer ends after google sell Motorola to Lenovo..

  • Its goin to have a SD 660 and 6gigs of ram :3

  • 6gb varient should be for 16k then only Moto G6 Plus will even stand a chance to compete with rest of the competition.

  • This one is killer phone.

  • Y not black?? it's very dissapointing man!!

  • SD 636 is already out n it is offering 630 who will buy outdated processor deal killer

  • It was a good phone a couple of years ago, it's now outdated!

  • 2gb of ram is a no go now a days! You need at least 3gb ram at the minimum, preferably 3-4 gb of ram!

  • I think moto G series is going to have tough time. Redmi note 5 pro is a king of all the phones. Moto g6 plus should not be more then 16k for 4gb ram variant. Or else it will be a disaster for MOTOrolla

  • Needed 4000 mAh battery at least. Why won't they put adequate batteries in their G Series? Much more RAM than needed, not enough battery. Ugh.

  • First week april or second week april will lounch in india moto g series

  • The same reason the G5 and G4 are still on 7.0?

  • Front cam is 8 mp with flash..Not 16..

  • Does anyone know why the version of Android will be 8.0 rather than 8.1?

  • If you don't want... don't buy

  • Has any one noticed that the resolution on G6+ is 2160x1080 whereas SD630 supports resolutions upto 2048x1536.....SD636 supports 2160x1080

  • I hope the Moto G6 Plus is released in the UK *before* the end of April, otherwise I will be forced to buy another mid-range phone (possibly the Moto G5S, which I don't want).

  • When will be the expected release date

  • nowadays i dont found any plus of buying a moto over the competition like xiaomi, i mean they are not the same moto they were before.. camera isn't up to date, they dont provide latest software update untill its too late.. mi A1 got oreo in 2017, but my G5s Plus is still on nougat and even magnetometer is missing and still costs more than mi A1.

  • A 3200mAh in a phone with this specs should last all day and then some even for heavy users. There is no reason for a bigger battery. Although if you're opposed to charging your phone at night while you sleep for some reason, there will be a Moto G6 Play with a huge battery.

  • Different versions of the same Moto G phones often have slightly different features. Some Moto G5S models did support a cut down version of NFC while others didn't have any NFC support. So if you must have NFC on your phone and you want a Moto G phone don't only look out for NFC support, make sure that is has full NFC support otherwise that "feature" may not be of any use to you.

  • Is there any info available on NFC for this phone?

  • With the quick charging (Turbocharge) technology in mid to top tier devices, and energy conservation built into the Snapdragon chips, bigger batteries are not needed especially with the Android 8.1 coming with a awesome energy and data conservation process regime.

  • Not likely

  • 3200 mAh

  • hi, i am dheeraj see the phone is so cool but only one thing is not good in this phone buttery is only 3000 mAh. phone be must wants to 4000 mAh buttery....

  • It won't be compatible with T-Mobile/Metropcs LTE?!? #uck my life.... :(

  • is there nfc?

  • Agreed, liked the design with the G3, but the 4, 5 and 6 have lost their way IMO.

  • Why isn't battery size an important consideration. If only, the battery size was big, that would have set Moto phones apart as the best ones in Budget segments. Atleast, a battery of 4000-5000 Mah is important.

  • battery capacity should be 3800 MAH or more than it and alos removable type

  • 3200mAh is a good battery for a phone with these specs... are you delusional?

  • Why, why, why not put a decent battery in it...4000 mAh or better....I could get past other shortcomings if it JUST had a decent battery.

  • Looks like new motorola phones just go for sell only "as new" .No improvements.Maybe for lower cost in some market

  • Must go with 4000+ mah and EIS !!!! For about 282 eur in EU we have MiNote3 ( good product ) with 3500 mah , dualcam with OIS and SD660 !!!!

  • Moto should also pay attention to looks this time. No doubt their build quality is good but the looks are little obsolete. Moto G6 should feature latest design this time. 18:9 display, thinner bezels on top and bottom and 2.5D curved glass display, rear mounted fingerprint sensor and a center vertical camera setup with flash on the side. Please no big round camera bump on the back this time.

  • When will Moto G6 Plus will be launched????? that too 6 GB varient. and what about RED MI NOTE 5 PRO 6 GB varient.? WHen are these going to get aired????

  • Considering the price moto cameras are best in class, at the release of iphone 7plus moto g5 plus took head to head battle with it.. moto and s9 are of diffrent class, you should compare phones with same class ..😼

  • The moto models usually have crappier cameras. Samsung S9 has the best camera on the smartphone market for both photos and videos but its over $1000. Huawei's honor view 10 is a good midrange in both quality and price, costing around $600, while the samsung galaxy j7 pro is the best camera in the lower price range, costing around $320. I would consider the honor view 10 the best bang for your buck, but if you're budget is more restricted go with the j7 pro. Hope this helps.

  • If you are a photographer then buy a camera, not a smartphone

  • This mobile Moto G6 plus launch date is confirmed or not

  • guys can u guide me please..iam a photogprahy enthusisat n budget is 14000 rs or 230$ .. iam impressed with xioami mi a1 potrait mode..becasue of telepjoto lens i guess.. is it required a telephoto lens to get that boke effect on potraits././.should irather buy the redmi note 5 pro..which has 5mp extra cam for depth of field.. theres asus zenfone 3 zoom with 12 mp telephoto lens...

  • No support for T-Mobile USA? Bandwidths 2, 4, 12?

  • No really need compass because motorola have gps locks 1-5 sec

  • Pro: 1) colour, deep indigo ✔ 2) splash resistant ✔ 3) 5.93 size ✔ 4) fast battery charging ✔ 5) Li-ion 3200 mAh battery ✔ 6) would have prefered finger print reader around the back! But I can live with it being front mounted ✔ 7) mid price range ✔ Cons: 0 Ticks all the right boxes for me! Smiley happy :)

  • I don't want to speculate on the specs yet, but GSMarena aren't known for giving "false information", they always do there homework first!! Smiley happy :)

  • Really looking forward to the Moto G6 release And hope it does have that mAh 3,200 battery Smiley happy :)

  • Its all depend on price it cross 15k then they should give higher version of Snapdragon

  • dateof release of phone

  • the specs for this device is currently unknown so this is innacurate for those of you who are new in this site

  • why not usb type c?

  • I am genuinely looking forward to the UK release of the Moto G6 Plus (hopefully not later than May), but I will be heartbroken if it doesn't feature a compass (magnetometer) sensor.

  • This looks so dope. I'm most likely going to ditch my Honor 7x for this.

  • When will Moto G6 plus is going to release in India

  • Still rumored, so let's not get hopes up about usb 3, ac wifi, etc. However, I think the body on it's fine. While I'm a sucker for aesthetics, not all phones need to compete to be the thinnest and shiniest (a lot lose some pretty relevant hardware features [*cough* headphone jack *cough*] in doing so). Noticing the front button fingerprint sensor in the render looks like it gives way, I personally don't see the need to go back to a physical home button so let's ignore that, please Moto. As for specs, it's looking nice. My moto g5 plus has served me the best out of all the smartphones I've had. 64gb and 4gb ram with an all-day battery is more than any typical user needs. Got a lot of hope for this guy.

  • Because it is not a premium flagship line. Motorola's G series is aimed to be a mid-budget phone and for the price point you get better durable devices than others. therefore some sacrifice has to be made

  • The specs state (as of 31-Jan-2018) that the Moto G6 Plus features a compass (magnetometer) as one of its sensors. Is that really the case? As far as I'm aware, most - if not all - Moto G's after the 1st generation do not include a compass sensor. The 1st Gen Moto G definitely included a compass because I owned one of those phones. The Moto G4 Plus (which I currently own) does not include a compass sensor (much to my annoyance). It is great news if the Moto G6/G6+ really does include this sensor because if it doesn't, then I won't buy it when it comes out!

  • @Sam Motorola looks at durability with design, not aesthetics.

  • Usb 2 , not usb 3 c ? ......why ?

  • Snapdragon 630 does support dual band. Motorola phones are great. Very good call clarity and overall good value for money. I am waiting for this.. Already a z2play user. Satisfied completely.

  • Motorola design team sucks...i would have done better than these guys....

  • Waiting for the launch. Please get it fast.. Using z2play.

  • No AC wifi? Come on. Everyone else has AC WiFi. This better be false.

  • Seriously? micro usb 2.0? its 2018 people

  • This model should have NFC.

  • Seriously, why the heck would someone want 6gb ram? Couldn't they just pick 3gb ram and more battery?

  • When this gets released?

  • may get announced in mid march or mwc

  • That's not what you think. You just copied everything from Galaxy s8, :-)

  • Go buy a flagship then lol this is a midrange

  • I wish it's Screen display is Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen. Resolution: 1440 x 2960 pixels. Protection: Corning Gorilla Glass 5 - 3D Touch (home button only) - Always-on display PLATFORM Chipset: Exynos 8895 Octa Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 CPU: Octa-core (4x2.35 GHz) GPU Mali-G71 MP20 Adreno 540 USB 3.1 Maybe that would be cool. I don't know. But that's what i think. Thank you.

  • There's no way this doesn't jump to USB Type C.

  • Any possible ETA on when this gets released ?

  • Micro usb again smh

  • So moto g6s plus might come with 660 soc ..

  • This phone of Moto looks great.

  • I hope that the upcoming Moto G6 Plus will be USB Type C port, NFC and will remove the moto heating problem in the phone.

  • They should stop the dual camera gimmick and put something better like nfc and magnetometer in a set, not separated like g5s+ and g5s. I call it gimmick because the camera quality in g5s+ is worse than g5s, the depth effect is also garbage. Just take the software route like google and you can stop wasting resource with dual camera that doesn't deliver proper quality.

  • Its ridiculous, smartphones still coming with micro-usb instead of usb-c in 2018, at any price range, but thats just my opinion.

  • WOW G 2gb ram and 16GB disk space along with 4000 mAh and this 6plus carries much bigger display with smaller battery and much more ram and diskspace whata strange difference.

  • Still using micro usb 2.0. No type-c at this price point.

  • i hope this phone had an NFC inside :((,but overall they made a great loop
