  • Can someone help me with this? I bought The Asus Zenfone Zoom ZX550 and the led indicator won't come off green. It is always on even after i restart the phone. I disabled the led indicator in settings also and it was still on. Help?

  • it depends on your needs, i personally prefer the z3max the battery lasts about 24 hours on heavy texting playing and a couple 1 hour calls, but the zenfone laser has faster processor and laser focus, and the original zoom is super responsive and the camera just feels nicer to use with the 3x zoom and all.

  • I had the most terrible experience with ASUS Zenfone Zoom. Software does not work properly. Contact application (list of names of contacts) disappear and I had to restart device to do contacts come back (appear). It looks as a simple fail, but it is very unpleasant to try to make a call and you were not able to reach your contacts because they disappeared. I had to send the device to Texas (U.S.) to be repair, but ASUS took four weeks (one month) to do anything. They sent me another device (Zenfone 2) with lower camera quality. I was these four weeks without phone service because I sent it to Texas. This caused me difficulties in my job and personal life because I use my device for these purposes. ASUS did not take responsibilities of the perjury it caused me. ASUS cheated me.

  • yeah i already buy this (i have samsung zoom/digital camera/handycam 50x zoom too). the Good thing is you got 128gb memory + 4gb ram + metal body + italian leather just only RM999. Cons about asus zoom : 1- very poor video cam software + mono audio +less bass. 2- dont support youtube 360 virtual reality. 3- optical zoom only 3x. digital zoom is shity. 4- No MHL output. only otg. 5- italian leather at the back smell like shoes. pros : 1- super slim & nokia 1020 look. 2- Speaker very loud. i mean very loud with treble & bass. 3- Laser focus is faster even in low light. 4- Expensive lens. 5- software can capture 50mp. 6- camera fully manual mode like dslr/k zoom/s4 zoom. but not good as samsung camera apps. 7- Quick charger very fast. something like 20minutes can go 15% to 70%. 8- you can manual focus on video recording. that's awsome.

  • Looks like Asus has upgraded a few specs since it took almost a year to launch it. It now comes with Gorilla Glass 4 now and an upgraded CPU of 2.5ghz(Intel Atom Z3590). For 38k it is way too expensive in India. I'll only buy it once it drops to around 30k. It's taking gsmarena a really long time to post is review though.

  • I have the zenfone 2 and its not 64bit. google it. I know some phone have the 64 bit android. But the android ver that is using on asus is 32 bit. Kernel is 64 bit. So 4gig ram is recognized , but 64 bit apps not running due to 32bit OS. Just google it.

  • Removable batteries are always great if you plan to replace them with aftermarket extended batteries. It's the option that counts here and not whether you'll actually change it or not. Better to have and not need than to need and not have. Lastly, there are people like me who will try to customize their devices however they can. Adding a new look to your phone via a bigger back door to fit an extended battery is a joy not many undertand. I bought a Nokia 808 a month back. The battery works fine but I'll be ordering the mugen 3000mag extended battery with a thicker back door for it just because I want my phone to be unique. Sure, there are power supplying cases available for phones with non removable batteries but they're not quite the same. Point is, removable batteries aren't just for 'teenies with small budget'. They're also for a certain niche of phone geeks that treat their phones like cars waited to modified and customized.

  • I definitely agree with you man, ASUS is changing the game in terms of pricing. One thing tho', the zenfone 2 and the zoom are not midrange phones. :) Zenfone 2 64/4gb is even on par with S6 in terms of frame rate. There's a video on youtube.

  • That has no relation to each other at all.. RAM capacity doesn't affect battery life much. It's how you use that RAM.
