I am using this mobile for the last six years and the thing which i like most is its ability to resist towards uneven fall. It is a strong set not made to be broken ,its a hardcore mobile. When u recieve a call from a unknown no. and after that u save this no. it is updated everywhere. It has one of the typical strategic game Box_world.

I had this phone, but it started showing problem the day i bought it, like random ordering of SMS, automatic changing of contrast, keypad light flashing even in power save mode etc. Then there is problem of service centre, which even refused to replace the phone even after observing problems this phone had, saying that this is how this phone is, we cannot help in this. I would say this phone is complete crap.

Thank God! Im not alone in the world who has BenQ M100. This is a phone from hell... Rough, loud ringtnes, good battery backup, and finally it's not just a phone...it's a multipurpose device... You can hit your enemies, play football or Cricket with M100 and still no defect. You cant do that with any Nokia, SE, Motorola... I dropped my phone more than 100 times(20 times deliberatly! so that I can get rid of my M100) but it is still working.. Somehow a tiny metal pin in charging socket of phone was broken and hence the phone was not charging... So I went to Service center. The service center guy told me that this socket can not be repaired.. So I came back and did the phone surgery. Now it is working again... Ha ha ha.. but I hope that one day I will get rid of this brick.....umm phone...

You cannot connect a USB/data cable to this phone. Polyphonic ringtones and MMS cannot be downloaded. For downloading Monophonic ringtones download them on your freinds mobile and send it through SMS to your mobile.

I am using this cell for 2 yrs now. Here is the review: 1. Calls: Signal is not as strong as Nokia or Sony Ericsson or for that matter even a LG. As a result speaker & mic reception is intermittent unless u have full signal. It also has one irritating feature u can hear your own voice through the speaker. I am talking about the regular speaker/earpeice, this phone DOES NOT have a speakerphone or a built in handsfree. However there is a 500 phonebook memory. 2. Messaging: Keys are sticky and respone is slow. Keypad fades out after a yr. Message memory is 40 including saved messages Preset templates cannot be deleted. 3. It shuts down randomly and all the date/time dictionary setting are reset. 4. Games: Box World - good but boring and irritating sound effects. Mini Mouse: very very very very easy (ps. I have the perfect score of 3020 and u cannot beat it) Cherry Boy: Beyond doubt the most challenging game ever in the history of gaming, due to fast monsters slow key response and an even slower OS. I've never been able to complete it stating from lvl 1 and through to lvl 5 (yes, its got only 5 lvls). 5. Data sharing: It does not have GPRS, MMS, or a USB port, bluetooth and IR are simply out of question. 6. Only 5 preset wallpapers, and a single preset theme. 7.Ringtones: U can get only monophonic ringtones by SMS from your friends mobiles & they will play only at half volume, that is if u are able to accomodate them in all of 5 slots that are available in memory. only 1 or 2 of the 40 preset ring tones are good enough others are rubbish. Preset ring tones cannot be deleted. 8.I have dropped the phone around 20 times and had to get the mic soldered in twice for which I had to travel around 10 kms to the only service station in the city and had to make 2 trips and 5 calls every time. I did not get a service handset and it took a week for repairs. However both times repairs were done under warranty and free of cost. 9. Battery is working well(surprisingly). 10. The display is brilliant, the best u can get for this price. 11. the keypad and display dont get lit up during an incoming call or a msg. unless u unlock the keypad. 12. And u can lock the phone by holding on to the # key, contrary to an earlies post here. Verdict: DONT under any cicumstances buy this phone. If u d happen to get it for free sell it and buy the cheapest Sony Ericsson(beyond doubt better than Nokia, and all others manufacturers are useless) u can lay your hands on. As for me I have somehow persuaded my parents to by me the Sony Ericsson J300i (honestly it a friggin steal at INR 4000 in showroom)

I should talk about the games in the mobile.That's really funny. 1.The Cherry Boy game is strange.Because the monkey's speed is protean...Sometimes they run so fast.. 2.The Mini Mouse game is so silly...I got a score of 3018,maybe it's the highest score in the world.. 3.Box World is game that always make me depressed.

Hi I bought this phone on May 2004. I planning to go for a high end mobile. Here is my Feedback about it's 2years life time. Disadvantages ------------- 1.If you are not laminating your mobile. your key pad will go as plain button. No letters will be there. i'm looking for a key pad last 2 months i couldn't change it anywhere else. just now got the service center address going to check there now. #10, 1st floor, MAS Tower, Opp.BEML Office, 11th 'A' Cross, 4th Main Road, Sampangi Ramnagar, Bangalore - 560027 2. And the keypad is also very hard to handle. 3. It will only hold maximum 20 SMSs in its inbox. 4. If you are restarting your phone. your date settings and SMS key style settings will be reset. 5.Some times the Alarm tool is not functioning(may be a mistake in my M100) 6.you are opening a SMS From ICIC BANK, if you get a call simultaneously from your father. The screen will display "ICICI Bank Calling"(it is taking the sms no, instead of displaying the calling Number) 7. There is no option to lock the key pad manually. you have to wait and it will autolock. 8.Then this phone don't have GPRS, MMS, Picture message. 9.It will not play all the downloaded ringtone. 10.There is only 5 slots to store downloaded ring tones. 11.No screen saver feature. 12.You can't use downloaded wall papers. Advantages. ----------- 1. The phone have such a good design. 2. Perfectly suits for rough handling. 3. I may be droped the phone around 20 to 30 times. 4. I like the size of the phone very much. 5. The Battery performance is also fine.

I am using BenQ100 since one year. One of its most favourat thing of mine is its battery timming. Its realy suites me. I daily received almost two hourse call so i realy like this set. Only a single thing that is now forcing me to sell it is this that now i am looking for some sort of extra features like, Infrared, GPRS etc. There is no facility of downloading Wallpapers and Tones. I think company should upload its software on NET. Overall its a very good set with good colours and tones. Aatif

Hi guys I found this set is not as good as I/you expected. I found that a new msg come in when I am viewing the sms Inbox, lets say from Andy, it is not display as "Andy" but another person's name. I have to quit to the main menu and go into Inbox again in order to know who's the sender. this has caused problems to me as I has replied wrong message to incorrect person. and when i am replying sms and there's a incoming call, the message i was typing gone because it's automatically back to main menu after the call. I have to retype & retype...

I bought Benq M100 mobile a month back and these are the problem I found in it. Previously I used Motorola T190 mobile and I can give a comparison i) Fast dialing is missing as in T190. In T190, we could save numbers in specific locations and could retrieve it by typing the location and pressing the #. This feature is tried to provide in M100 but it is a failure. You can type a location and press #, you will get the number stored in that location. (This feature is not mentioned in the manual.) But while storing a number you cannot specify the location. The mobile will store the address in some random location. ii) Like Nokia phones cannot add our won words to the directory. Switching between capital and small letters is difficult. iii) No message icons available. The icons are displayed as characters only. iv) The manual mentions about downloadable wallpapers. Some websites also provide wallpapers, screensavers, ringtones. But none of the sites talk about how to download it. Nobody knows how do download wallpapers, screen savers v) The phone supports polyphonic ring tones. But you can only download mono ring tones. vi) The manual in the beginning says the date format can be changed. But it is not possible to change the date format vii) As most of the colour mobile phones, in sun you cannot see anything on the screen. Good things i) Good colour display ii) Good ringtones set by factory iii) 30 missed calls, 30 dialed numbers, 30 received numbers, 500 phone book entries you can store. iv) Has features like calendar, memo, alarms etc. Those Indians already bought this phone can think of suing the manufacturers for misguiding manual. Sure you will win. I don�t know about laws of other countries. Those who have Motorola T190 Please don�t go for this Benq M100

BenQ M100 has no specific special features. The dealer said it has WAP As well as GPRS, but unfortunately it has nothing except colo display. Really it is waste of buying that phone.

Well, i bought this one yesterday.......and am very happy with it, brilliant display and very fine ringtones,battery life is very nice but it cant provide u long hours of CONTINUOUS talk time,not for very heavy users(dont buy it if its going to be your primary line)otherwise its ok. it has 3 games which are ok.....u can kill time . the navigation is very very user friednly with the help of its 5-way navigation. concluding i would say an out and out value for money but there is one MAJOR drawback..........it does not feature GPRS not even WAP,that means u cant access the net. and yes those of you looking for its ringtones and wallpapers u wont get it through the phone itself because it lacks WAP and GPRS but u can get it with the help of DATA_CABLE.

IMPORTANT This fon doesn't have GPRS or WAP. It cant download wallpapers and polyphonic tones, it can only download mono tones via SMS like Nokia. This is just a basic fon with incoming/outgoing and SMS facility. And yes 3 games to pass time. But at Rs 3,900/- it gives fantastic disply and rockin sound.

Initially when I bought the phone I was impressed with the display and sound. Sadly my impression deterioated as the iTap feature is a pain as compared to T9. Also there isn't even basic features like speed dialing, sending ringtones or even changing the time format. My appreciation for this phone finally became that of disgust when all of a sudden no one could hear me talk. Even after giving it back for servicing, the problem persisted and I exchanged it for another brand. If such problems occur within a span of 2 months, how reliable is it after the warranty is over? Think twice about this one.

Try Customer Care: 1600 22 0808 if you need any help MRP (Kerela, Orissa, Bihar, Assam, Jharkhand): Rs. 6490/- MRP (Rest of india): Rs. 5990/- Many sites claim it has GPRS while others state that it doesn't have. EVEN I DIDN'T FIND GPRS in it. Instead, go for Nokia3100 (4096 colours) or SamsungX100 (65k colours) which gives GPRS option.

hi. i purchased benq m 100 on 23rd oct 2004. I purchased it because of its unique looks and wonderful polyphonic ringtones but i feel that benq must add some more features like WAP & GPRS with this model.It is use less to download mono ringtones in a phone which have polyohonic tones.The model required some more enhancements. Any way the model is wonderful and keep it up BENQ corp.

Hi All, The BenQ M100 is the basic phone with great looks. It doesn't have GPRS, Wap, Java, MMS, EMS etc. etc.. You can only make calls from it, play 3 games and nothing else. You can't download any picture, or ringtones or games. You can download only mono ringtones (maximum 5) thru SMS sent by other phones. You dont have any option to download ringtones by any other means. This phone is worthless. I bought it yesturday for my father just because it has VERY LOUD ringtones and good contrast big clear text, what is my father's need. It cost me 4600/- in Lucknow,UP. But it is better than Nokia 2100 (which cost 4200/- with same features and mono display and mono ringtones). PS:- Why BenQ spoiled such a good loooking phone?

dear sir, recently i purchased ur benq m100,really a good phone ,i just wanted to know whether u also supply ear with the instrument or else we have to purchase it? i got the instrument for rs.5,600/- i buyed it from gandhidham in kutch district of gujarat state in india.is the price ok?or its more ?the only problem i face is on the tones that is as u have given an option for empty ring tone i downloaded some of thembut i cant get the clear volume fromit ?the ringtones from the company sound really clear and good . the second problem i faced is with the screen it has only been about 10 days and i m able to c scratches on the screen as i take a very good care of the phone so pls do the need full help if u can send us a new screen(the top glass)pls. thanking u waiting for a positive reply from, u people amardeepsinh jhala. gujarat - india.

the phone is good but the manual isnt. how do we down load ringtones wallpaper there is nothing mentioned...nice if i could get the help line number in india...the vendor..isnt all that tech savy....

it has good looks,design and the colours but sorry to say the phone is unable to catch the signals when we sit in the room and the other thing is you have mentioned that phone is having the GPRS and the downlowing of the pictures but you have not mentioned the how to download the pictures these are the two backs and i think that you will solve this problem by showing the procedures of downloading the pictures,ring tones and the useage of GPRS
