these phones are horrible, my Samsung note 5 broke (rip) and I needed a cheap phone to hold me over. I made the mistake of buying the blu studio c hd and it was the worse phone i ever used. no memory, couldnt run maps, facebook, spotify....shit it would have trouble running its launcher and wouldnt load apps all together. Used for 4 months and bought a Nextbit Robin (was going to cost 300+ to fix the lcd on the note 5) and have never been happier with a phone! the nextbit is a flagship killer!! if you are looking for a cheaper phone thats actually GOOD go with the nextbit. BLU ARE HORRIBLE.

I bought this phone on Ebay brand new in the box. I'm still on the fence about it. It has fairly solid construction, the back snaps firmly in place and takes some effort to remove. On the software side, there is a lot (and a bit less) to be desired. It's not as responsive as I would like in a phone that has 1Gb of ram, and the factory installed apps take up a whole 2Gb of the available 8Gb of internal memory. I feel like maybe some of these apps are running in the background behind the scenes, because the ram utilization is never below 70%. I will be dumping the rom and removing the bloatware to see if it offers a better experience on fully stock Android. I'll report back in detail with my experience, and if anyone is interested, I'll post my method and possibly a link to the modified firmware.

Check your APN (access point names) settings for your mobile carrier. With mine, I was getting Edge (E symbol) until I keyed in the proper settings for my carrier (Ting, who uses AT&T towers) and now I have 4g everywhere.

Overall this phone is a good phone. It works well, has a nice and simple display, and is easy to navigate. The only problems I can find is it is a little slow when opening big apps like YouTube, chrome, and some popular games. I would rate this phone 🌟🌟🌟&#127­775;

There are two versions of this phone and they depending on the model, may not be able to receive 3g in certain regions. One supports 3g in south America, but not in Asia, etc

Such a horrible phone. Everything is wrong with the phone. When I take a screenshot it "cannot generate thumbnail", when I get a text, I don't receive it till 2 hours later, I don't receive phone calls and will later get asked why I didn't answer my phone! Every single app will have a 'bad manifest' so I can't download anything. Wow I truly hate this phone from the bottom of my heart. I can't even take a bug test because the option isn't available. Wow.

I just did that update that I think you are talking about and now it can't read my sim card. I tried my sim card on another phone just to make sure it wasn't the sim and it worked. So it's the phone and not sure what to do. Stay away from the update in my opinion lol

Agreed. I have applied every tweak in the book, and still the battery life is deplorable. The bottom line is that the 2000 mAh battery is insufficient. The screen is the main cause of the battery drain. When the device is off, there is very little drain. When I have the display on, I can watch the battery percentage go down 1% a minute, no matter what I'm doing on the phone. Too bad, because otherwise, this would be a decent budget device.

If on Tmobile or AT&T it will still be plenty fast on the downloads and will open web pages plenty fast. One benefit is battery life as LTE antennas use quite a bit more power. Have fun.

Love this phone. The wi-fi range is better that iPhone's 5. The camera needs some improvement with close ups. Everything works great on this phone. Like the screen lock-out feature. The google play has every app you will ever need. We're buying a second one ! (For me!) Give a 4.5 star out if 5.

I bought this phone 2 months ago and love it!! I was so happy about it and the best part was that the phone's color was beautiful. Then 1 week ago, the phone froze and the screen turn white. I decided to take out the battery and put it back in but the screen still didn't want to come on. After a few hours of getting the scree on, I gave up. make sure that you manually ysnc google apps. Settings>Sync>Google> all or click to see individual services you want synced. Manual syncing usually works for me after i import contacts.

Studio 5.0 C HD error after system update...I just downloaded a "wireless update" for the Studio 5.0c HD and tried to install it, the installation was going fine but then, when I checked the phone, a "no command" sign appears (with the android robot laying down with a ! inside a red triangle), when I press the power button the usual recovery options appears (reboot system, apply update, wipe data, etc etc) so when I try to select any, again appears the "no command" sign. I can't select any option, so I can't do a factory reset. I don't know if the phone its bricked or anything. I don't know what to do. I would really appreciate any help. Thanks!

Yes it does you choose one or the other similar depends on the task,for example there's Digicel and Lime in Jamaica where I'm from I use my Lime chip for data ans my Digicel for calls and texting but I can switch between the two to do any of the tasks listed above doesn't matter which SIM is in the number one slot if you get a call from either sim you will be able to answer and use it so the dual sim works you just don't know how to use the functions properly read your manual before you start posting unhelpful comments that'll discourage potential buyers I've had my phone for a month now and it's a great phone the battery maybe suck's but I get six hours out of heavy usage excluding gaming and it's fast reliable and efficient after 550 hours it started giving problems applications began to crash the phone slowed down so I rebooted it after that the phone was like new again no applications crashed and it was fast ans efficient again this a is a great phone I love mine, and that's coming from a heavy user.

i had one a few months ago. the main problem is that the frequency used in india for 3g is 2100 mhz. blu studio 5.0c hd with d534l version will support but with d534u won't as no such frequency in such model. those who are trying to buy blu phones watch out that this frequency (2100 mhz) supports otherwise you have no option to use 3g services. also remember that 4g lte frequencies of blu phones doesn't support in india.

Mostly I've been pleased with it but yesterday it completely locked up on me, it went unresponsive, power off didn't even work for nearly two minutes! Very weird. A week ago it was acting like a cripple, long delays in response or recognition of a key pushed or icon tapped. This happened also a month ago, otherwise the phone works quite well. Anyways, I've decided to return it to Amazon. I'd appreciate a 16x9 photo aspect ratio. Btw, I was using the Kingston Digital 16 GB Class 4 microSDHC Flash Card with SD Adapter (SDC4/16GBET). I own this phone personally. I have to say you will be impressed and wont be disappointed with this phone at all. Yes, the camera can use a little bit of work but honestly, if your me and you dont care about instagram or crap like that and you want a reliable phone thats fast and can do the job. This phone will do it. The camera isnt bad, its really not. Battery life sucks, I emailed BLU and asked if they are making extended batteries for this and they said they will be soon so I am waiting for that but in the mean time, get a external battery pack on amazon like I did. The screen is great and I love it for movies.

MY REVIEW: I bought this phone a few months ago and its really not bad at all for the price. the phone isnt as fragile as it seems. it fell as few times and was unmarked as well as fully functional. my only down points are: the headphone quality isnt impressive but it gets the job done and even though the video camera quality is truly 1080p amazingly clear quality, the photo aspect of the camera isnt very good.

Highly warn people to not buy this phone. Phone keeps stating sim card not detected even though i have service. Plus battery life is crap it only lasts like maybe 2hrs. And on top of that it starts running hot when I've been on it 20mins. its honestly a great phone. takes amazing pictures but the thing is, the screen i was given cracks very easily and i have a screen protector on. other than that my BLU Studio 5.0 C HD is great. :)

I have bought this phone. There are some problems : 1-The mobile is not detecting memory card although same is being detected by my another mobile (Huawie) 2-Flash Light is giving more yellowish shade so pics taken are also having a yellow shade thats much disturbing. please guide ,,

3G of D534U model doesn't work in Bahrain, as it doesn't have the frequency 2100 and it will only work on the 2G network. Please be sure to buy the D534L model.

I've had this phone for about three weeks and it is awesome. Is it a super phone? No. But it costs a quarter of a superphone. It's excellent for the price. Big, crisp screen, good battery life, great camera, a good processor and enough space to install an impressive number of apps. It only has 4GB of internal memory, which is my biggest gripe, but it has a micro SD slot. Use the internal for apps and the SD for everything else and you'll be fine. Plus, it has Dual SIM slots (they are full-sized slots on mine) so you can run with two providers at the same time. Very handy for cross-border travel. Highly recommended. I was amazed when I saw the price on this - only $150 shipped to my door on Amazon.

yes it is a unlocked phone it can work. it can also work with Lime and seeing that it is a dual sim (two sim cards) both Digicel and Lime (cw) can work at the same time.

I've had this phone for a little over a week. I bought it at Walmart online, shipped free to the store for $100.That was the price for either the black or white. Colors go for an extra $50USD. The colors are nice, but I just couldn't see the value there. Also bought a 2 year warranty for $24USD. Be advised this is the D534U model. I was told by BLU that the D534L model isn't out yet. The difference is the added GSM 2100 band if that is important to you. I love this phone so far. I'm coming from an Atrix 4g and this is a big improvement. Also be advised that this phone cannot be rooted as of right now; there is a problem with the updated Kit Kat 4.4.2.being exploited from what I gathered at the XDA forums. Anyway, at the price for these specs, you can't beat it. Go BLU!

the os which is (kit kat) takes up the space on the device so a sd card is needed to store more app and medea. apps can be move to sd by going into settings then apps then downloaded apps and can move some over to sd.
