BLU Vivo X - User Reviews

  • The original phone came from the Philippines. A company goes by the name (Cloudfone). The phone's name is (Next Infinity Quattro). It was sold to an Algerian company named (Condor), then the name became (Allure M2). Somehow, (BLU) came with the name (Vivo X), After acquiring this same model. and YES it's the same phone, Because i have the (Allure M2). Lol Anyway. It's Good phone.

  • It Comes to Europe, it was called allure M2 from Condor smartphone.

  • Very Very HAPPY with our's .. bought two .. was a Motorola fan in the past but will never go back there after BLU .. heck I'd say this thing is three times faster than my old one and only a third the price of the old Moto ! Battery is great and the PC unreal .. haven't had any issues yet with the phone .. one of the chargers went (haven't asked for a new one yet) lol .. but everything else is GREAT ... Thanks BLU !

  • Having had one for a week now...mostly good...battery life is very good, but not as good as the 5000mah Asus Zenfone 4 Max (which figures). The CPU is actually a Helio P25, not a P20. The phone doesn't bog so far when running multiple apps and Google Navigation. I like the fact it's Micro USB rather than Type C, and it will fast charge with the right charger. It's reasonably fast, but this isn't an 8-series Snapdragon (nor does it eat power like one). The weaknesses are the camera arrangement (I prefer the better camera on the back, not for selfies), and the screen, not for resolution (I don't need QHD on a phone screen and it sucks battery like mad gamerboys), but rather it's somewhat washed out and off color - I've used a couple of screen balance apps on it which help, and there's a Cool/Neutral/Warm switch in the Display Settings, but contrast is weak. Acceptable, but not excellent. It's one of the only phones that has T-Mobile/MetroPCS LTE band 12 with a large display and 4GB/64GB, so it'll be my daily driver until a 4/64 with a 5000mah battery goes on sale in the US - I wish Asus would bring their 4/64 and up Zenfone variants sold overseas here with USA LTE Bands. This is a Gionee built phone as others have mentioned, but I can't find a direct Gionee variant (yet) - it's more a combination of a number of parts from Gionee phones with the 1440x720 6" display. If someone does find a direct Gionee variant I'd like to see it, as there may be compatible cases - the Vivo X only has a few as of now. The latest Antutu score is just over 80000, which is lower than the Droid Turbo 2 it replaced, but the Vivo's real-world performance and battery life are much better.

  • Great phone for the price...but not perfect.....First off the battery life is amazing, i can go a day in a half with heavy use and still have juice to spare. Gaming wise the Blu vivo X has not failed me yet...Games like Modern Combat 5, Tekken and Mortal Kombat X run flawlessly. Now lets get to the Blu Vivo X's Achilles heel..its the cameras, both front and rear...or better yet the camera's software...Taking good pictures are hit or miss...Slow shutter speeds and a bad auto focus ruin any pictures you are trying to take on the fly...I've found a few solutions to the camera's software problems...Third party camera software found in the Google play store. Apps like Camera Mx and HD Camera Lite improved my pictures by one hundred percent. These apps take full advantage of the Blu Vivo X's dual camera set-up and you will notice the difference immediately. So i give the Blu Vivo X a solid 8 out of 10....

  • shitty screen durability.

  • did you know that the BLU pure xl (BLU,s flagship) is a just a rebranded Gionee E8 it even has the same UI

  • The Honor 7X has 8 verient so the specification will vary from device to device So don't say that the Honor 7X is awful as for the Vivo X it can't compete with the 7X the only thing I like is the camera everything else is an after thought and will Blu support the phone absolutely not because they don't really care about software updates

  • Does it support a 128 GB sd card like Vivo 8? Is the sd enty independent, so you can use both sim AND sd card?

  • Just found and interesting thing while running both a lookout scan and a malwarebytes scan. There is a lot of Gionee software in the scans. Did some research and Gionee is a big company oversea's and they have 3 phones that look like the Blu Vivo X.....

  • If this phone had an amoled display...for 350US..it wouldve been sold out

  • Do you know how to read? 720x1440p.... (1080p+) relax with the hauwei plug buddy.

  • For the post below mine --- I have both phones now and can tell you that the Honor 7x is about the same playing field.. Not going to rip Honor to bad but the 7x is awful.... The US version does NOT have any of the functions that the european or the asian versions have. Its not a true dual camera.. The US version does not get any updates. Current build for US is B138 all other version currently on B192. When support was contacted I was told huh let me investigate, still waiting for answer - 6 days since request. B192 gets ar lens and facial recognition.... again like my Honor 8 - promises promises promises but no delivery... last Honor product I purchase. Last time i called Honor's support it was so scripted and their fix for everything is to hard reset and even had the balls to ask if i had cleaned the lens for the camera due to the grainy low light pictures... They also cotradicted themselves.... I was told they do not have any updates... They already have B192 which has the facial recognition / AR Lens – Asia / European models. B140 which only has AR Lens update only for US models and locks out the ability for facial recognition in the future and was told that US might not get further patches asked why and I got no response. The Blu Vivo X yes lower specs for the screen but it does have a better camera, battery last longer, both run about the same speed but the graphics faster on 7x, Android OS is not skinned or loaded with ANY bloatware on Blu's Vivo X - You now have the option to decline or install it - Honor just loads stuff randomly each time you reboot, call quality about the same, you can format your sd card internal on the Blu where as you cannot on the Honor - it uses proprietary BS that jacks your sd card up if you want to use it elsewhere. Support on both is equally the same - POOR to None on the Honor, Blu support has gotten a bit better but still needs improvement. It is up to you to make the choice but I steer clear on any Honor product...

  • Horrible phone specs price.

  • 720p screen in 2018 lol better off buying the honor 7x better in every category.

  • Only & just only up to 64GB..!

  • Honor 7x is better and only cost $200

  • My thoughts exactly, if it were FINALLY an HD screen, the it would be a steal for $200 (currently with $100 off on Amazon)

  • Nice one, Blu(or whoever from this is rebranded from) finally uses a good chip, the energy efficient P20! Seems like a fine device, Blu should come to Europe. Shame about that Android 7.0, this would have been killer with Android 8.0 (or better yet, 8.1) and Treble (see XDA article about Allview Viper V3 MTK device booting AOSP easily).

  • 720 x 1440 pixels, 18:9 ratio (~268 ppi density) for $300 ... "Not WORTH" at all...
