I have this phone the only complaint is the Battery died after less than 3 months of use. It bubbled up and messed up the back of the phone. in my opinion. snapping doesn't seem firm like before. never had to replace anything but the battery it took a year looking for one. even called Blu the Product maker/seller. for a replacement, they do not even carry batteries for their products. had to purchase from China and it was the only battery available at that time. I've been keeping an eye on this and still no other batteries available, I guess I got the only one.

My only complaint about this phone is the battery swelling up to the point i cant get the back cover to stay on so now i have to use the rubberized cover that came with the phone. now its also starting to freeze and it should not...i have a 64gb micro SD card in it. and everything is backed up to that micro SD card. only the OS and 2 apps are on the phones Rom. I loved this phone for its Dual Sim feature, Windows OS feature (upgraded to Windows 10) . and the fact that it was slim line and more light weight than my other phones....Dang Battery!!! I need a new one and no one has any...HELP!!!!

Bought my BLU WIN HD phone from Amazon last year but my existing SIM didn't fit it (it was too big) so I put the phone aside until last week when I got a new SIM package. All was dandy for first three days - battery lasted really well - but now, on first 're-charge, it's not working. Took a bit of jiggling of charging cable to get charge to start and 12 hours later it's only at 75% and won't go higher. From past experience of other devices, once you need to 'jiggle' cables there's an inherent problem. Not at all impressed if this is the case and the phone is knackered after only 3 or 4 days. Until this problem occurred I was quite happy with the phone.

I have BLU Windows phone and I freaken HATE it! Some of my apps like instagram or twitter isnt opening or letting me in! It was just working yesterday only instagram. Also I can send picture to some people but only few. Its sucks! Also it turns off on its own sometimes and its annoying and its like full battery and its turns off when you leave it. Last year I had Iphone and that was the easier phone not like this one. I really prefer The Apple Iphone Shit not the Windows. I'm not saying Windows is bad but I think they should stick to Tablets, Computers Xbox! They work better then their phones. nice phone,had a lgg4 beat(h735) but i prefer this windows phone,everything works well and the app store has all i need,very good battery life,good camera,bright camera flash,by downloading one shot app from store,shutter speed and other features can be adjusted.very good viewing angles too.no problem with calls and internet,only thing i miss is a call recorder,but no problem,good for my budget .

Messaging "get media content now (1KB)" when ever receiving group and picture texting, message appear. Call T-Mobile tech support they said Blu phone cause problem. Then call Blu tech support they said T-Mobile APN setting issue. IS no one can help me?. Is anyone have answer that? Bro, you need to set up your Access Point Name settings (APN). Call your carrier to get the values you need to enter there, then you will be able to connect as usual.

I bought the phone a while back, I updated the phone to Windows 10 mobile and it has improved in many ways, however, it doesn't want to connect to my Carrier Mobile network(Cellular data) only works with WiFi. I am having such a hard time finding a battery for my w510u as well... I wonder if the battery for the newer Win HD LTE model would work, ya dig? They're $5.96 or so each on Amazon . I figured just get the LTE and 4 extra batteries and just shipped to a friend in Texas and they are going to bring it to T dot in a couple weeks. I've had the phone quite a while and never had such issues... Try to hard reset by holding power and volume down buttons at same time for 10 - 15 seconds. Phone will power down and then restart and ya should be all good. The issue, however, may be lack of memory.. I bought the Win jr for a friend and at one point she said she couldn't take pictures or video... I took a look and she was quite right.. I bought a little 32 gb micro sd card for her and it solved her problem.

the phone is not error or what, but you might see on the box, that it works 2G on GSM 850/900/1800/1900. and 3G works on UMTS 850/1700/1900. you just have to make sure that it supports in your country. you can match it on and select which is country you live at.

I have had no problems with the phone so far. Bbm works better on this phone than most other windows phones. Gaming is ok on med settings. For its price you cant really complain about it. And it is one of the cheapest phones that comes equipped with one gig of ram in it, that is at least I south Africa. By the way the phone is called mint m5w in south Africa

Where did you learn that Blu Win HD is getting the windows 10 upgrade? For certain it's capable but will Blu follow through? Can you point to an official statement? I just ordered the Win JR LTE because of the promised Win 10 upgrade, though for $30 more I'd rather have the nicer screen of the HD. Any searches I do for for Win HD windows 10 come back with results for the LTE model, and some heresay about the HD.

I've had several BLU android phones in the past because I like their dual sim feature and general operating basics of these phones. However, I decided to get my first Windows phone because I have two other Windows operating system devices and with the upcoming Windows 10, it was supposed to sync nicely among all devices. Naturally I chose the Win HD 5 8.1 upgradeable to 10 when released. Oh boy was this ever a big mistake. Nothing about this phone was even close to the quality I've had in the other BLU phones. Like many have said, this phone is cheaply built and has a lot of flaws let alone limited functionality. I then did my homework and found like others, Microsoft has their own brand now because they bought Nokia which I found out to be the best phone maker of Windows OS phones. Through further research, the new Lumia 640 XL LTE (international dual sim unlocked version) was the exact phone I needed. Although it is twice the price, it is 10 times the phone over the BLU Win HD. Without a doubt, I now know what a Windows phone should look, feel and operate like. I'm so looking forward to Windows 10 as my other devices have already been upgraded. But if you want a cheap, dual sim phone with some Windows functionality, I suppose you'd be alright with the BLU Win HD but don't expect anything more. Even the glass isn't Gorilla Glass. Scratches easily. Whatever, lesson learned.

Just got this phone, really good build quality for a low end phone but the Snapdragon 200 is really what makes this device less desirable because performance is much slower than on the Lumia 635. Still good for basic tasks but playing videos or games sometimes there's lot of lag. The 5" HD screen is really nice though and is why I bought this phone.

I am using Airtel Service in India. I am comparing 2 mobiles: 1) An basic Android smart phone AND 2) BLU Win HD. I do the following at the same location to ensure that there is no variation in mobile network: Step 1: Insert the SIM card in the Android Phone and start mobile Network -> I get connected to 3G Network Step 2: Insert the same SIM card in BLU Win HD -> NO 3G Connection. Conclusion: Either the phone is faulty OR BLU Win HD does not support 3G networks in INDIA. If you want to use this phone in INDIA, DO NOT waste your money on it.

The volume buttons need addressing, often I find the volume level to low to hear the phone's ring tone. I find I'm always raising the level above 0 or 1.

Easy to use the two SIM slot is really good for folks like me who travel around the world. I use Pay as You Go for voice and text, the ubiquitous wifi for Internet it makes it very cheap to run. There are a couple of free apps(One Shot and Office Lens) that really make the camera useable so thats not an issue at all. Great value and speaking as an Electronics engineer the build quality is very good for the price point.

Sent the phone back after a few days of testing it out. The best thing about it is the screen, hands down. But everything else about the handset had been cut back too far in the name of cost savings. The build quality is toy-like, no adult will want to be caught with one of these in public. It looks cheap, it creaks and flexes like crazy. You'd think an 8mp camera sounds good but it's the worst quality imaginable. Selfie cam? Sure, if you want to look like a blurry sasquatch. 1gb of ram gives you access to games in the store that 512mb phones like 635 can't get (the are very few, mostly gameloft crap) but guess what? Graphics settings auto detect to max so this phone can't handle it anyway. Another negative to keep in mind if you want to use this phone on Wind Mobile is that streaming video on their slower network to that 720p screen will be slow and choppy. If you want a cheap phone, good quality, and a decent brand get the Lumia 635. Lower specs but still beats this phone in every category due to better quality. Lower resolution screen is better for streaming Netflix and YouTube over slower networks like wind mobile, but clear black still makes for a gorgeous image! Almost half the price too!

Blu being a new phone company should really pay attention to their customer service. Very dissapointing, i wouldn't recommend buying any blu phones. Stick to brand name who really want to earn your trust for repeat business. After emailing back and forth for weeks, finally got an rma from M.W. (their lead RMA personnel) for my phone to be fixed. Sent my phone in to Miami at my cost ($8 w/signature). 2 weeks later, got a courtesy generated email saying that phone issue was just recorded not fixed, factory new replacement sent. However, when i received and opened the package, phone is my old same phone. There's a distict stucked pixel in middle left plrtion of screen during boot up. It's still there. Even the serial number is the same as the one i sent out. Moreover, there are 2 dark scuff marks at top corners. Problem was still there, not fixed. So i spent $8 to have it shipped to blu hq in miami, without a phone for 3.5 weeks, only to havephone returned to me in a more messed up state. I wrote MW back, explained, and sure, i got a nice courteuos apology reply back. MW advised me to resend phone back and there is no other way, nor a guarantee for a new phone. At this point, i really feel grossed out, pardon my feeling, but it's simply the truth, i do not want to get burned twice. There is no attemp on blu to make the situation right to me. I guess i'm not their valued customer. It's just very disturbing and just plain gross how blu treats their customer. Maybe one day, a blu top representative will see this and realize to turn their operation around if they want to earn customer's trust. But in the meantime, at this point, it's a do not buy recommendation. And remember, with a newphone, no matter what or how stable the operating systems are, there's always lots of bugs. And blu doesn't stand behind their products sadly. Good luck if you still plan on purchasing. Yes, it's the included bundled in case, screen protector and lower cost that attracted me in the first place, which at this point, it's not worth it.

I hope this review/comparison of the Blu Win HD to the Lumia 635 helps anyone who is on the fence. I've had a Lumia 635 for two weeks now, and just received my Blu Win HD I plan to keep the one I like better. It's not an easy choice! First and most importantly I want to address the scroll lag/screen sensitivity issue. When I first got my grey Win HD I did notice that occasionally placing my finger on the screen to scroll would inadvertently select and open an app. I did not witness the problem others speak of when the phone is plugged in and charging. I did witness jerkiness or lag when scrolling through the home screen, app list, and settings menu. The immediate update my phone got seems to have solved the sensitivity issue so that I no longer accidentally open apps. What is REALLY strange is I had wiped the phone, then decided to set it up again but this time I restored from my LUMIA 635's backup. For some reason this totally eliminated the scroll lag. I've reset the phone a couple more times with a new setup, and then the Lumia backup and can confirm that for WHATEVER reason, using the Lumia backup resolves the menu lag issue. Build quality is a toss up. The Lumia seems to be more solidly built, but the Blu uses some very nice components. I'd bet on the Lumia holding up better in the long run. The Blu has a much nicer and brighter screen though outdoor sunlight visibility is about the same between the two. Of course with the Blu you do get a light and proximity sensor which are very handy. The external speaker of the Blu is much quieter than the Lumia, you need to put the Blu to level 15 to be about equal to the Lumias 8. It's about the same when using headphones as well. This is not necessarily a bad thing, as the Blu simply has a better range in my opinion. Often at night I found myself putting my finger over the speaker grill of the Lumia at level 1 to avoid disturbing others. The vibration on the Blu is quiet but powerful where the Lumias is just noisy. Performance wise I have to give Blu the win. Both phones score similarly in Antutu. Apps load faster, switch faster on the Blu, the extra ram really helps. Gaming is very enjoyable on the Blu. I ran Halo and Survivalcraft without any lag. Asphalt 8 played mostly lag free, but I noticed that on the Lumia the graphics are set to low while on the Blu they are set to high (and are very impressive might I add). Keep in mind this situation might occur with other games, while the extra ram gives access to apps that the Lumia can't access, default high settings might impact gameplay negatively. I was impressed with the battery life of the Lumia but haven't had enough time with the Blu to gage it's battery. I played with both phones continuously throughout the evening during my comparison and noticed that they drained about equally, with the edge possibly going to the Blu. Both phones cameras have their own unique strengths and weaknesses. The Lumia handles bright light sources very well, where the Blu just washes right out, though you can compensate using exposure settings. The Lumia tends to have warmer colors, mature processing but less detail, the Blu has washed out colors, does much better in low light situations, has better detail but more noise when you crop/zoom in. It's hard to pick one over the other. Finally there are the exclusive Lumia apps not available for the Blu. You do get Here Drive, Maps and Transit. But you lose out on all the Lumia camera/video apps, and Mix Radio. There you have it. I hope my experience is helpful to people looking at this phone. As for myself I will probably be sticking with the Lumia 635. Only because for me it was much cheaper, and there are multitudes of accessories available for the Lumia. I'm hard on devices, and while the included case and screen protector for the Blu is nice, it can't beat the tempered glass screen protector and dual layer Trident Aegis case I have on the way for my Lumia. :)

I like the phone, I just wish it was a bit smaller, and there are hardly any apps that I enjoy. (btw please put snapchat on it!!!) The camera quality is ok, it's nlt the best, but it's ok. Also, I've noticed I always have a hard time hearing the other person when I'm phoning them. My data on it is terrible, I feel like there's something wrong with the SIM card, I have full service, but my data won't work.(I still have lots of data) I'm not a big fan of the colors, I have the green, waiting for my white. Also, MAKE MORE CASES! I can't find a single CAS for the Blu Win HD! I've also noticed the phone is a little slow... If I were to rate it, I'd give the phone a 4/10.

I had my BLU Win HD for little over 4 months now, and have developed a love and hate relationship with it. I have been a Windows Cell Phone user for many years now (from the very first Windows Mobile to the current and Windows Phone), and my over all impression with Windows operated phone is satisfactory. I am using T-Mobile as my service provider for my BLU Win HD phone, and so far most of its specs speaks for itself. I can run low graphics games, stream video and music adequately, and also provides satisfactory web surfing capability. I have a lot of apps loaded, most especially with a 32GB Micro SD expansion, and use it as my primary GPS device with both Garmin and Co-Pilot Live loaded in it. The ONLY set back that I have experienced is somewhat an unsustained data connection, intermittent disconnection of my data. BLU already pushed WP 8.1 updates twice, but my data still acting up.

Good phone but quite unhappy as the SIM provider told me I could not use SIM2 as its defective slot. There is no support email address and can't find how to replace the unit. Moreover can't stream any of music streaming apps which works like a blitz.have a Lumia which works like magic. Think twice. It's lacking proper quality checks on hardware and surprising how BLU let this one slip past their quality checks. Great phone otherwise !!

Good Cheap Phone. But could do better. Used lumia so audio quality is bad. No HD as on spec sheet. No 4G suppport so dont try hunting. For the price performance is good. Few glitches such as call merge between 2 Sims is flaky. Screen freeze and radio firmware requires update. But if BLU is serious on improving based on feedback, well you have a chance they will roll out firmware updates. Worth the buy instead of cheap clones..

Well I just purchased this phone today from the Microsoft store themselves and I can say I am nervous because I am always reading reviews on things I buy and I brought because I love windows. I have had one other windows phone in my life and I loved it. The only thing is it was very small. I just like that windows is very organized and I love cortana. My sister has windows and has been with windows for years so I know windows is the right choice. I am worried about the camera though because I love taking pictures so I want them to look tip top shape. I saw mixed signals when it came to the camera so I guess I have to just form my own opinion about it. I paid for fast shipping because I want to get the phone in a quick and a hurry because my old phone is breaking down. I have no more space and I even added a sd card but for some reason I cant save anything on the sd card except picture and music. I even deleted all of the music on the sd card and still no space. but with the new windows 8.1 and me alreadying buying 32g sd card it will automatically save things on the sd card and I love that. I also love the color pink. My favorite color! I am so excited I cant do nothing but look at the phone online. I hope this phone is a long time phone because I never had a phone over a years so im excited to actually keep my phone for awhile. I thank God for this phone and I am so happy. It was so unexpensive and I brought it with my own money! I feel so happy about this.

I was a little disturbed by the sizing myself. It's easy to fix though. Press and hold a start icon and you'll see an arrow appear. Press the arrow to make the icon bigger. Press somewhere else to accept the size. I think you can try three different sizes. Good luck.

The phone is not great. Suddenly I could not hear the voice of the person calling me. Thankfully it came back after phone restart. Now after an upgrade the tiles of the screen have changed size. Also, the mic of headphones is not too good.

No, it cant. I can only get streaming video to play at 360p. The touchscreen also hangs during gameplay, which makes this phone useless for anyone who wants to use the win hd for anything other than a phone or basic web browsing or texting. And you can get a $10 flip phone for that. Microsoft really dropped the ball pushing this device. To put it in perspective, the far lower priced lumia 520 has more functionality. Can this phone run 720p youtube videos without stutter? I'm a little concerned with the capabilities of the snapdragon 200.

the information on this site is slightly wrong people should note the snapdragon 200 is unable to shoot or view 1080p video. It is supposed to be able to shoot and play 720p video, but that also does not work (maybe the phone needs an update?) The other major flaw is the touchscreen responsiveness, which is so-so when the phone is unplugged, but terrible when the phone is plugged in.

It really depends on what you are looking for. The Blu Win HD is ideal when you want the most for you money and you like Windows Phone. First off, anyone concerned with the performance can relax. I was worried myself and ran benchmarks on current phones to see where this one stands. But surprisingly, it's at least on par if not snappier when compared to the Nokia 1020 and 1320. It kills the 620. I saw some reviews saying gaming could be an issue and I game a lot... No problems with games like Asphalt 8 and anything I tested. I think if you want the absolute fastest, this isn't it (but who would expect that from $180?). But people tend to be misguided by their experience with Android on low/mid tier hardware (I recently just sold my Moto G for example). Performance and things like battery life, are just better on Windows Phone. (apps is a different case) Anyhow, if your budget is $180 and you like WP, don't hesitate. It's looks and feels to be a much higher end phone than the cost.
