Bosch Com 509 - User Reviews

  • You can even remove the antenna and replace a flashing one. Hahaha

  • My first phone was Bosch. I still remember how it used to ring

  • well... considering it was announced in 1999 that makes sense...

  • Woww, I miss the old days. This was our first ever phone together with the Alcatel db gum. Those where the days that whenever my mom tries to type a text message and my dad on the other end tries to give her a miss call, then it will cause the texts to be erased then she has to type it again from the start, hahaha!

  • Oh I miss this phone way back 1997 my 1st phone haha

  • my first phone..it's cool! regret selling it to have a nokia.. i should have kept it, and just buy a nokia..i miss this phone..

  • Was a great first phone. Has novelty / retro value. Lit up like a xmas tree when called. Back then it was just cool to own your own mobile. If you still have this phone & charger, it would make a great gift for an elderly person who dislikes technology.

  • My friend in his high school days back at year 1998 had this phone and everybody is laughing at him since nokia phones are still the trend.

  • does anyone still has ringtones for this one? i miss its ringtone

  • yes this was my first ever pre paid mobile got it for $50 back in 2000 done deal :)

  • my first phone as well it had nothing no even a clock, but you could talk n text. my partner had a nokia 3330 which even then made this phone look rubbish... still great dayzz.

  • My first ever phone, way back 2000.IT was a very good and solid phone indeed. Those were the days, I remember I was one of the very few who have a mobile phone in my circle of friends, I miss my college life!!! :(

  • this was our first family handset phone..

  • my first mobile phone ;)....very nice phone, and i still have the phone and it works

  • "...my first phone...astig! alot of my frens admiring my Bosch Com 509 way back 1999...hehehe! i love it! it's a very user friendly phone!

  • its cool to know that a lot of people have this as their first phone like mine did, cheaper than nokia back then. Mine was robbed way back huhuhu

  • My very first cellphone, wow how time fly fast. It okay during that era. Nice user interface for navigation. It was also very sturdy don't break down easily during those days unlike today model from different manufacturer.

  • my first cp,cool and easy to use

  • my first ever phone. bought it in 1999 after buying my first flat, no longer have it but miss it loads. simple & easy to use, dodgy but cool ringtones, especially puppy. why oh why can't new things be simple as this and not so ruddy comlicated

  • Bosch Com 509 = Nokia 6110

  • My first phone...;)

  • my first phone too. one of the toughest ,if not THE toughest phone i ever had.

  • Brings back the 90's feel... i remember me and my girl friend used to text each other 5x just one message. she had this fone and i got a nokia 5110... hahaha those days when text messaging is only P160 per month...

  • Guess what... my first phone too! Bought it in 1999. Mine was dark blue. I was one of the few to carry a mobile phone back then. I remember the SIM card was activated after 12 hours from buying, i.e. at 3 a.m. and i barely slept that night until i saw the carrier's name on the screen. The first months the caller ID wasn't available for calls coming from the landlines, and then one day I saw my girlfriend's name on the screen instead of "incoming call" and I was very confused :))

  • my first phone too...

  • my first phone also i got it from my father, i was very happy with it first time i can call and show with a phone on the street 1999 it was a good time i miss the 90s,

  • my first phone... loved the orange...

  • My first phone, I got it from my father at my 18th birthday.

  • anybody have one for sale??????

  • anybody have one for sale??????

  • one of the toughest phones I've owned ... probaply still working if I replase the battery!!

  • this was my first phone i got my phone from ARGOS and i would only have this phone on pay as you go on orange so it had to be a orange phone. THOSE WHERE THE DAYS,and it was a good phone why o why BOSCH did not continue to make phones is beyond me they always made quality.

  • I still have this phone with me and it's still working. I was going thru my old stuff looking for something the other day and lo and behold, my Bosch 509 right in front of me. I got a bit excited and hooked it into a charger and left it for an hour, I slip in a sim card, turned it on and it still works but the battery lasted only about 10 minutes. I'll try getting the battery replaced and use this phone as a back-up. :)

  • i missed this phone... memorable phone and my first phone....

  • yeh my first phone too!! also changed to a nokia after. i loved my orange brick

  • This is my first phone but sadly it was stolen from me and i changed to 3210 that time.

  • I echo that I would love one too also my first ever phone I abandoned it in the end for the excellent 3310

  • If anyone has 1 of these preferably working id love it, was my very first phone and it was the dogs nuts i say bosch should make a new one with new feautres but the same great see thru orange ! Proper Old School

  • my first phone

  • my mom bought me this phone for my birthday, that was like 8 years ago! at first i loved it, had it for 2 yrs then new phones came out, I disposed this for a nokia 3210! bwahaha nokia's way better! nokia's got games like snake and i forgot the other one, memory game something like that, and then i got sick of it then i bought a new one and a new one and another one, i could go on and on!

  • My very first phone. Although I can barely remember it now, it was laughable. I bought it purely based on it's flashy nature (I swear I was a magpie in a previous life). It lacked features, even back then, but it suited my simple needs. It made calls, it sent texts, it had a calculator. Good enough. I bought it around 2000 for 40, and I gave it to my parents in 2002 to use as a simple house phone when I upgraded, and they only got rid of it earlier this year because the battery died (can't get any new ones for this phone anymore). Considering it was running on it's original battery, that's damned good endurance. As the saying goes- 'They don't make them like they used to.'

  • is it still existing in the market?

  • my phone went dead, first it was the speaker then phone also doesnt change.is it worth repairing?

  • me batteries dead, n me charger went wrong, n then the phone went wrong, its cheese central, scare ya mates n buy one, if ya ave any, umm do bosch still make phones, good price though, got mine from argos in 2000 for 30 of ya english pounds.

  • i had on and it rocked

  • this was my 1st phone!!! wow! it was a really good phonw when it came out, the bees knees! awwwwwwwwww!!

  • Here is the manual!

  • It is a phone not a gamecomputer, alarm clock, or a calendar. It is Phone !!!!Personally I think de calculator is absolutley not needed!! A basic phone in great transparant colors mine is only transparant very rare. I also bought longer lasting batteries when I got them and they still work after 4 years. I like it is simple basic.....just a cool phone.. Love it!!

  • my phone has no manual

  • the phone tweets when you use press the buttons, tweet tweet

  • the battery sucks!!

  • I think this is a gret little phone. The standard batteries life is O.K for the age of the fone, but not much compared to the really new fones. The calculator is pretty cool and easy to use. Translucent colours make it easy to find in a dark bag or movie theater.Txting easier compared to by old fone(motorola d560). Would probably recommend had it not gone from N.Z P.S the high capacity battery last allegidly 400hrs

  • I had this phone for about 2 years and it just comes up with problems. Battery life became stupidly short way too fast, the microphone went dead, then the antenna cracked up (literally)... too many to mention! Sure glad I replaced it with a flashy new nokia 6510... the only thing i'm gonna miss is its useful calculator =)

  • i dont think the phone is lasts for a long time i just bought one not up to 2 weeks and its already developing problems it is performing uptimised charging its not working anymore what can i do about it?

  • If you can help me of a booklet of the Bosch 509. They stolen the box of my cellphone. You can email it to me. Thanks for your help

  • can i up grade my bosch

  • cel mai jaf tel

  • its cool but the battery to my Bosh is dead and i dont find other. by

  • my bosch 509 has no clock and alarrm!how come on its feature it has clock and alarm?is there any other model for this bosch 509 that has an alarm and clock????

  • I had it. It's cool.

  • it's crap no-one buy it the maker of it needs to be shot!

  • It's crap it has a crap reception and the battery runs out after a few hours it could be made better by making it smaller but i like the colour its groovy! dont buy it anyone

  • it's crap it hasent got a clock or alarm clock either as it says on this page

  • this phone is a travesty, and the designer should be hunted down and slaughtered

  • there is no alarm and no clock on it and also has many problems like the battery, microphone, and the options are poor!this is not a phone!

  • this is not a phone!bagami-as pula in el!

  • I think that is not a good phone...mine it suks sory but the battery stand_by a few hours and if it talk e few minutes. That's my opinion...

  • The worst phone money can buy. Don't even think of getting such a shit. This phone has personality. It's totally unpredictible and has a lousy battery.

  • I think nickiller is right!!!!!!! It's very true!!!!

  • I had a Bosch 509 for 4 month. Before that I had a 607. 509 stinks. A lousy battery. When I went with my phone in service they told me the phone is broken too. The 607 was a very good one. 48 hours Battery, 2 hours talktime. Very good for 1997.

  • This is an antishock phone...!!!!!!!!1

  • This is the worst phone there is! It has the lousiest battery that lasted almost...2minutes after just one year of use. Please don't buy it anymore!

  • this phone is soooo cool! the colours look fantastic. the design and features of this phone are absolutely fabulous!

  • I think this phone is good. Its got good colors and ringtones. Its got a calculator as well.

  • ba fratilor daca este in rate cumpar si eu.mai vb noi.trimiteti un mail

  • anyone wanna buy it? cause it's makin me nuts!

  • this fone is totally rubbish!!!!!!!! i cant belive i bought it !!!!!!!! i wish i just saved up a bit more and got a nokia!!!!!I HATE THIS PHONE!!!!!!!!!!

  • I have found my Bosch 509 to be totally unreliable - continually turning itself off for no reason during conversations and battery life is lousy. Wish I'd stuck to my Nokia 8110!!!!!!!
