  • ahm,, all i can say is the phone's specs is very high for a GINGER BREAD OS,, it can perform much better if we will be able to upgrade its OS to the latest version,,most android phones that that uses the latest OS (Lollipop) has lower specs or just the same specs as this one have. I suggest it will be upgradeable soon,,

(if its not working do the same thing by pressing volume down key) then there there will a open a window you will see factory reset below in that window go down by pressing down volume key , you can click on factory reset by pressing power button. your problem has solved thanks.

  • This phone is awesome! Thanks dell for inventing and launching this device.I can surf the web faster than any other mobile device. Also thanks its usb wireless tethering capability because I can connect to my laptop and use it as a mobile modem at incredibly high speeds for both downloading and uploading of docs and photos. Guys, this gadget has lots of fun try it now. You can't compare it with Sumsung, Nokia, HTC, Iphone or even Blackberry.

  • You have to wait until the battery is completely empty, don't plug it in or try to recharge the phone until it is empty. When the battery is empty plug it into the usb charger and the phone will buzz and start to charge. After the phone has charged up to 15% it can be started again.

  • My D43 sometimes shuts down when it has low battery and it wont switch on. The thing to do is wait until the battery is empty. Then you can start to recharge it and the phone will switch on again. Nothing is broken, it just has to die before it can live again. Happy Passover ;-)

  • I have been using dell streak gs01 for two weeks now. The phone just went off and have tried to switch it on but to no avail. Can anyone help?

  • This phone replaces my old galaxy ace and is an awsome phone and it is a high peformer in terms of graphic capabilities and speed. I didnt like the stock messaging or the dell launcher for andriod so I installed another sms app and holo launcher ICS which makes the homescreen interface look exactly like andriod 4.0 which is usefull seeing as there will be no 4.0 andriod on this device. had to manually set up apn for giffgaff which was fine so I could use 3g. A few preinstalled japanese apps which is a bit of an eyesore and cannot be uninstalled unless the phone is rooted which I would not recommend. Finally one major draw back is the battery which is okay but I can only just manage a whole day (7-8 hours) at collage with it begging for juice at the end. This phone is available on amazon and ebay for only £95. I would highly recommend.

  • I got this phone in Ghana, and to be honest it works perfectly. The batery is amazing and everything that I instal run smoothly. But the only one problem I hav is that the phone went off sometime and restart alone. I think that is a specific problem faced by smartphones. The android version doesnt cause me any problem.

  • I bought this brand new for about 16,000 yen at shop that specializes in reselling and second-hand goods in Akihabara. The shop is behind the red building SEGA building on the smaller street. CAn't remember the name but it's like the only decent looking shop that does buyback of electronic goods. Everything about the phone is great except the firmware is probably gonna be stuck at Gingerbread 2.3 unless you root it and get custom firmware into it. Hardware seems to suggest Android 4.0 very much possible on this phone and Dell was suppose to update to 4.0 but no news so far.

  • The OS of this device is ''Baidu Yi'' guys..it's an OS based on Android but a little bit different, chinese also.

  • I have this phone, and i havent had any problems with it so far. Its very fast, the graphics are smooth. i am still trying to figure out how to take screen shots like the iphone. Oh and the battery life is amazing!! It can last a whole day if i stop playing games on it.

  • Not enough battery for a dual core, and Dell doesn't give latest updates, already i owned Dell Streak and they updated till Android 2.2.2 only and no 2.3. And Dell Stage UI's heavy graphics ruined the usuablity of Streak, hope Dual core able to manage it better and Stage UI looks beautiful but no usability.
