Just run Sailfish os on a RAZR M or some other phone with a good port. But who am I kidding, you barely bothered to google: "Operating systems similar to symbian and meego", so you will probably end up getting a phone with a bad port with broken bluetooth and camera and you'll scream at either me or Jolla about how "unstable and unusable sailfish OS is" and you'll go back to your hole to cry about how great symbian and meego were.

If you actually want to use the N950 camera's full 12 MP (4016x3016) then you should install the CameraPro beta 0.5 (old) for free See Or If you also want this app to show up in your 4-icon quick menu, then install 'Shortcuts' app as well

I have an N9 @ present and used to have an E75,so I have experienced MeeGo. I also love using Meego. I hope Nokia do something about improving the size of memory.The N9 has the choice of 16gb or 64gb.Also a Radio would be a good addition. You need a lot of memory to run apps for health,fitness. Liked the private/business feature on my E75. Having used online and physical keyboards,have to say I strongly favour physical.

pls nokia these phone has a great ram and a wonderfull hardware. Why not make it run on android since android and meego all come from the linux family. Or better improve on symbian os for this phone. Nokia pls encourage symbian os to be open and free like android. Pls features like radio and FM transmitter should be added to this device. When will the Nokia manufacturer add the 'adobe flash 10.1 and higher' to their products? Adobe flash lite 4.0 is not enough. Because there are websites that requires adobe flash to enable view/watch something. We need more improvements, hope Nokia will include this to their next gen phones. Yup, you are right. N950 has radio on-board and just need to install the 3rd party software. One is already out, just google it. :)

It has FM receiver on board, FM Radio application is available via 3rd party. Already tried it and it works. The developer is still improving it, currently it doesnt have presets and auto-scan.

Got this device yesterday. Flashed it with beta2 firmware, the first firmware will not charge properly when drained. Pretty neat device, Angry Birds runs smoothly (its actually fast). The swipe controls are great once you get used to it.

btw guys, Samsung is already shipping MeeGo netbooks in southeast asia, already available in Philippines. these cud b available also in western countries and midle east soon, but anyway it means that Nokia is not alone in MeeGo, so dont worry too much of the "lack of apps", samsung will for sure come out with some tabs and maybe also cellphones running MeeGo, and others will follow. I expect Asus and Acer to start shipping MeeGo netbooks/tablets in southeast asia very soon. edit: the radio commercials in philippines for the samsung meego netbook is like "thanks to the MeeGo operating system all your social networks will be collected in one place"

nokia will never be able replace the n900 just as they failed a lot to replace the n95 8gb Look now the n950 doesnt even have fm radio.infra red,divx player,flash player and 3d graphics I think it's time for nokia to wisen-up i'm not saying they should run after android no but they should walk away from from the macro-soft and re-new their partnership with the intel so they can make good mobile computers such like the gaint N95 8GB and N900 N95 8Gb was the good phone that nokia ever made with 3D graphics and a High quality 5 megapixel cam that much like 8 mp I own the N900 so i know how good is the phone you can open any web page and it also surport the flash player pages since it came up with flash player 9.4 and this was because of their partnership with the Intel So nokia really need to go back to maemo 5 or maybe upgrade it to maemo 6 and meego and re-new their partnership with the intel make those mobile computers like the N900 then we can beat The android the hell out of the way I've read about the N9 and it's not as pleasing since its meego without a powerful flash player So users wont be able to explore the full web since the phone only comes with flash player v4 And another downside of the phone is that it doesnt come with a keyboard so typing wont be as pleasing as on the other phones like E7,N900,N97 and C6 So i hate the N9 for that reason in conclusion i can say that i still think nokia can make it without the noisy android They just need to quit the macrosoft and upgrade to meego,maemo and intel Intel are good in mobile computing they have got experience thats much better than the macrosoft we all know that macrosoft never made any best selling phones but nokia did it with the symbian Symbian is still good as well although it might need a serious upgrade and work-out my last word to Nokia is that Nokia please quit macrosoft and focus more on upgrading to maemo,meego and intel

unfortunatly the public will never get their hands on this which is very sad considering how good the N950 is even in a developer only state ie not having the greatest specs. I think that it is something wrong in the specification. The width of the screen is 49.78mm and the width of the phone is 48mm. So, the screen is bigger than the phone. I calculate the screen dimensions using the size of 4" and the aspect ratio of the screen using the aspect ratio of the screen resolution (480x854). Ok, I presume that the dpi is the same for vertical and horizontal to calculate the aspect ratio.

To develop for one phone? You know nothing about QT. It's most likely a response to all the retards that brought a N900 and complained that it wasn't supported by Nokia. N900 was obviously supported by Nokia but it was still a developer phone also (step 4 of 5 to be precise). Plus Elop etc are killing off Maemo / Meego for their own personal interests, i.e. Win 7.

important part is "not commercially available". If you want it you have to be bright developper and with good standing towards nokia. And of course to know the right people. I doubt anyone will risk to sell it to the market. Or may be ebay price will rise as high as a new Vertu. ;-)) It is sad Nokia produced Linux device without hardware keyboard (i mean N9), but we have iPhone already to "pave the way". I hope in future someone to make Meego device with hardware qwerty for "ordinary geeks", not just developpers.
