its realy perfect phone. yes it havnt camera or 8 GB Flash memory!!! but u can talk with it up to 6 hour. i have it more than 3yr. but it now do empty battry and i sharje it 7 time in 24 hour!!! its battery Standard, Li-Ion 700 mAh.if i cant solve it problem maybe i buy a new SAMSUNG C200 again!!!

Positives- 1) Good looking phone though outdated design nowadays. Still looks good. 2) Very light in weight. 3) Has a bright and colorful screen even while not being a TFT. Negatives- 1) Ring tone volume too low 2) Vibration levels too weak 3) User interface a bit slow but not too slow for me 4) Some buttons started responding less occasionally (had to press twice) after about 6 months

A reliable phone, but with a few draw back. Most annoying one is the fact it's pretty slow, it seems it doesn't have enough processing power to deal with java. One other thing is the standard ringtones which are pretty stupid. Aside from these, it rock solid.

Its very nice mobile but it is problem with volume. How munch this data cable cost originally? I have bought usb data cable for it but its not working can any body help me. good in looks, Black colour is really fantastic. The only drawback is that this comes with the same old Samsung mobile phones problems this is a veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy slowwwwwwwwwwwwww. Waiting for the application to open it really frustates, rest is fine can go for one, if have patience else user will hit it with the wall. I am using one and i am satisfied. apart from problem of being slow.

Samsung C200 is a sleek and handy model from the company. It is so small and light that it slipped out of my hand many times. The display is great, but happens to fade after around 3 months or so. The ringtones sound very low. So you have to keep those ringtones with a vibration. As far as the data cable, the X430 or X480 data cable works fine with this phone. The installation is a breeze if you have the right cable and driver CD. If any one of these isn't right, then a lot of problems will happen. Sometimes the driver will be installed properly but while loading data from the phone to computer, the system may hang up. So check the cable( the name and number is written on the USB head of it), the software is EASY GPRS. With this you can load both pictures(.jpg and .gif) as well as ringtones(.mid and .mmf formats). Other competitive softwares are available like Mobile Edit Lite, through which you can backup all the contacts, call records, messages on the go.

You can use the 'EASY GPRS' software for connecting your c200 to your computer. After connecting the cable, run Easygprs, go to setup and select ports 3 or 4 or 5..(Other than ports 1 and 2). Select that port with which the cable is working. After you get the right port, a window pops up showing that the phone data is being loaded. After this process is completed, ou can upload ringtones or photos to your phone. Remember the photo size should be 128x96 or smaller and the maximum size of the ringtone should be less than 40 Kb.

hi, i have purchased the data cable 4 this phone and it's running very fine as GPRS MODEM IN my PC. it gives the speed of about 32 Kbps. it also run the data cable of SGH-X430 which i m using for this mobile. the data cable is for Rs. 250 only. it is nice phone to purchase. It has only 1 disadvantage i.e. volume of sounds and Ringtone.

I use Samsung C200 as a GPRS modem mainly to browse the internet on my Laptop. For this i purchased a serial data cable for Rs.900/- (Unfortunately no USB data cables where available with the samsung dealer) which plugs into the COM port of a PC. My Laptop had no COM ports but only 3 USB port. As a solution to this problem i purchased serial to USB convertor cable for Rs.700/-(BAFO)which essentially fools ur Laptop into believing that one of its USB ports is infact a COM port and Hey PRESTO..it worked!! Only disadvantage of this phone is that u cant charge the phone and browse the net at the same time. Continous downloading can be done for about 5hrs and then the batteries die...but for ordinary browsing the charge should last for 10hrs. Speeds range from 48-56kbps which is excellent. Hi, Just purchased this phone. Very light weight,cute and good. Colors are dynamic. Good loaded stuff. though it had a few drawbacks like incresing ringtone, can't change the type of number after it is stored and vibration starts even before the ringing starts, little hard and crampy selection keys and most noticeably no profiles and color themes, Screen savers. But inspite of all these it is a 1) Low priced 64K color phone 2) Very light weight 3) Good looking shape and keypad 4) Very dynamic screen colors 5) Large sized fonts (very nice feature) 6) Competetively priced 7) Good manual 8) value for money 9) Preloaded MMS settings for various operators 10) Nice preloaded animated wallpapers If u want value for money a definite go for it. It is very competetively priced here in India at around Rs. 3500 or may be even less. Other brands except LG even don't have a 64K color phone at this range. Worth buying it if u are on a tight budget and looking for moderate features in a 64K color phone.

I have a Sony J5 but it is getting old so I bought a C200 but it's far more weak and the J5 is a 5 year model!! -it takes ages to unblock the keypad -it does not have light with key pad locked -the calendar has room only for 30 events -you have to switch off everytime the T9 -it has few special signs -it stores the numbers under one name and events in random order

short:not so smart software. CONS: 1)it doesnt remember your text (like nokia and probably other brands do)if you exit the part where you write the messege, unless you save the messege 2)its hard to write messeges,you have to write them with caps if you are used to writeing fast,also brackets and stuff are hard to use) 3)its pretty hard to click the keys 4)it only rings first low then at full volume 5)vibrations are weak (my father rang me 4 times while having the mobile in my front pants pocket and i couldnt feel a thing,and i dont wear baggys) 6)it takes ages to unlock the keys (you have to wait to show 2 or three messeges) PROS: small and very lite,very bright lcd, but you cant see much unless the backlight is on I hope this helps,it sure would have helped me before I bought mine.

hey brk,listen your samsung c200 does have a silent mode where you will be informed of any calls or sms by a vibrating alert.in standby mode press the #key for 2 secs and it will get the silent mode.if u want to remove the silent mode do the same again. harry. [email protected]

Wish to add on afew things. I agree with other viewers that this phone truly has a strong battery life, considering that the weight of the phone is so light. And yes! This phone is super DURABLE! I accidentally dropped it afew times and it still functions so well as normal and doen had any scratch at all. Sometimes I feel like selling this phone. Well.....the design of this phone is good. The buttons are small and well spaced for ppl like me with small thumbs and fingers. But I thought the screen can be alittle bigger (though the screen effect of this phone is supreb). Very user friendly but the smsing is rather difficut initially. But once u get the hang out if its nice. I've already got used to using this cute phone. But one "wonderful" thing abt this phone is....there's no silent mode at all!!!!! I think this must be the only phone on earth world can only vibrate other than music alerts. Really really funny!

c200 is beyond imaginations. its looks delicate but its quite rough and tough. We took a dry piece of cloth and keeping the mobile above it gave it small jerks untill no water remained it it. We gave it a rest for 2 days so we do not use it before all the water is dried up. After 2 days when we switched on the phone it was working perfect just like a brand new piece. I dont think that other sets can survive like that.

great fone ..smart and beautiful..battery time is 4 days...one thing is that in all samsung mobile`s that is in vibration and melody mode first vibration starts for 3 times and then melody starts ..samsung should be notice that is vibra and meldoy should start at the same time like all other mobile fones...thx

I was really wrong about C200. The audio quality is also very good only you have to increase the volume of the speaker while talking, set your volume according your choice. Best phone in its class. Inclusion of IR Port would have given it total thick edge over other phones.

first look it is good, but not for long time. having problem with the speed dial feature as well as low voice.not much volume for the ring tones. battery backup is not more than 40hrs in stand by mode.
