Gigabyte g-Cam - User Reviews

  • 5MP in 2005!... Okay I'm weirded out at that. But, then again, some phones with 5MP cameras take really ABYSMAL photos (for what you'd expect for 5MP), like the Nokia X2-00 for example.

  • Perhaps the model you got was secondhand... or factory second.. possibly. possibly. maybe not.

  • who builds a ph with a 5mp camera and tv-out bt not bluetooth, wifi...just a usb...not even infrared!!!...

  • Worse built phone ever! It was very flimsy and turned to dust less than a week after I bought it.... I felt conned by this phone! I will NEVER buy from gigabyte again! Amazing specs on paper, great to use if not awkward and worse built phone ever! Stuck together with blue-tac =0/

  • 5mpx and no bluetooth OMG!!!!!!!

  • Bought it... Sold it Pile of Cr*p! Camera states 5mp, you must use a tripod as if you move the phone slightly when taking a pic it will blur to hell!!!

  • i think gigabyte has done a pretty good job pioneering 5MP cameras by 2005. Im pretty sure CIF to 1.3MP cameras were common back three years ago.

  • what its not a toy look at the cam. interface excelent!!!!

  • I dont like the way it looks, but it has a good cam quality. Not good for sms, IMing.

  • what is this? a kid's toy?? is this a joke or what?

  • Read the specs, the "no's" are mostly just in the data category. If you weren't to buy this, it'd be for the hideous design.

  • bad because there is so many "NO"

  • Guys i am planning to buy this phone can anybody plz send me the latest price of this phone and ur openions abt this phone is it gud or bad?????

  • the camera is good? the quality... or you think is better buy a se k550? i don't need 5mp...but its amazing... i want to buy a cellphone with a good camera (principal), lens quality, and good features thanks

  • does anybody know how to full reset this phone?

  • This phone is cheap, got it off ebay for around 300$ brand new. Camera is good, but the display was simply horrible! The functions aren't that great neither. However, for the price, its worth it. I sold this phone and bought a N93i n loving it:p

  • It's not a digicam, the photo quality is far worse than a digicam... 5mp tyo 7mp means that a 5mp photo size is stretched to 7mp i think, which reduces quality greatly.

  • Really i think it just a digital camera not phone as we wanna

  • What to they mean by up to 7MP?

  • for a phone that is so big it does not have infared nor bluetooth what is THAT try and be a little smarter when creating a phone for so much money

  • The phone doesnt even have bluetooth. Cmon now 50$ phones have bluetooth. Also, I am not a business man, so i have no use for IR, but what do all the "business types" even use it for?

  • Dude its a taiwanese monster. lol I was making a tough selection between the se k750i and the bs s88 before i knew about this phone. Except for the really ugly look this cell phone can be the best choice for a photo maniac like me. Check out the nite shots and u'll c how this 5mp ccd serves as a regular digital camera but more convenient!

  • if you want to take moving object.use the portrait or sports.not auto.pump sharpness highest and vivid.

  • Hi i was wondering if this phone required settings with the sim card before the phone can detect it? I"m using Fido right now in Canada and i've tried it with Rogers too, but this phone doesn't recognize the sim card. I know this phone is unlocked so i was wondering if any other person ever got this phone to work in Canada or the USA when they got it? please and thanks!

  • Does anyone know how to take a decent picture with this camera phone? If there is the teeniest of movement by the object or user, the picture comes out very blurry (still slightly blurry if not moving!!). Any suggestions?

  • its a very nice and cool phone . but if it had ir and bluetooth it was very better . in iran its about 350 dollar . who can tell me a little about its speakers . it is stereo or no and ...

  • this phone was released in Jan 06 i bought it in Oct. Bluetooth and IRC has no use for me lack of Wi-fi the cam is good, but need to do some setting everytime before use. the shutting speed..it flash twice before take, but saving the taked picture is fast. i think it has the stablize function, cause i see a hand with moving sign... it a good phone ^^

  • No bluetooth, no IR nothing but that mig camera

  • this phone can be buy in hongkong, taiwan and singapore(second hand)

  • you may look at here for the pictures by g-cam.

  • amazing camera 5 MP it this real... but can anybody tell me if work on GSM network?

  • wats wif the wtf.. its a camera phone tat can shoot real good shots. check out this thailand brand-i mobile. it's 902 is a phone tat can create images tat could be better than ur point and shoots..

  • Its an wonderfull phone. It also have pedometer and games you controll by moving the phone, a bit like wii in phone form :)

  • as a matter of fact, the mobile technology on the market is that of 7-10 years ago. In labs mobiles that last a month with a charge exist. there are also integrated printer devices, walkie talkies, and heated surface for those cold days. Plastic is replaced with aluminium and composites. But, my dear friends, how on earth can such devices be mass produced? Does it make sese to release a 260 gb cell phone which acts as a hard disk? does it make sense to release pda cell phones as powerful as pentium 4's with liquid nitrogen cooling systems???? The answer is no-so my friends let's enjoy crappy 1 mp cell phones wrapped in fancy plastic colours designed to deteriorate with use. Lets charge our nokia 3g phone once a day and let's all believe this wonderful lie named the market force.

  • camera phones were invented in 1997, but they didn't get on the market immediatly. after many years they surfaced on the market. 5 mp mobiles have long been in existance in labs, but not on market places coz it dont make sense to release a top class cell phone immediatly and avoid the possibility of selling other type of camera phones with less resolution. AND NOW, that gigabyte had the balls to introduce ahead of d competition a 5 mp cell phone, all you do is say it's ugly. Its a pity you are so alienated in marketing ads of wats cool and not.

  • Based on the Specs, it is clearly stating that this one is a camera centric device... it's got what will battle N95's 5Mp cam with better flash...:-D

  • God!!! What are is this!?

  • I'll tell you WTF it is! A lame attempt to create a high-end camera with the optional telecommunication compatibility!

  • for real WTF!! what's this? lol, an japanese monster :D

  • seriously, WTF is this?

  • WTF is this?
