EMUI 9.1 is more stable and faster than the previous version due to the introduction of ERFOS system function. I found noticeably faster app load speed and fluidity. Also now the V10 after this update comes laden with GPU Turbo 3 which makes game play a slightly more smoother experience. I am very satisfied with my View 10, it is no doubt a good performer but buying it now makes no sense. My LG V30+ at the same price provides a more premium experience and build quality.

My honest tips, been using V10 for a year now, it was RM1799 and now dropped to RM1200, it was considered a budget phone back then, if you want to buy now, i suggest you try look for another phone, try find something that has 8GB 128 spec kirin 980 or snapdragon 845/855 (eg. value for money phones k20pro,mi9, pocof1), kirin 970 is not powerful enough to have a total smooth gaming experience and might be too old for future games for another 1y+. it is slower than the old snapdragon 835! If you have a tight budget, the Xiaomi Poco F1 is the best choice for only RM1,100 (sd845 with 4k mAh)

So I've had it 4 a year now and there has been none software wise but hardware wise well my phone bent like a iPhone 6s plus so that's one thing but the phone still works the same and the screen has no issues even thought it's bent amazing phone overall.

Depend on which region, the official Oneplus 5T 64GB version at my region is way more expensive than official 128GB Honor View 10, around 50% more expensive, so definitely can't compare due to huge price different. With the price of Oneplus 5T 64GB, I can get Xiaomi Mi9 64GB at my region. I know for grey import of Oneplus 5T, it might close the price gap.

This is, with the price cut, the best "budget" smartphone you can buy that rival all the budget and midrange smartphone for around the same price. It almost got everything you can asked for, NFC onboard, 128GB/6GB UFS2.0 storage, micro SD slot, 18:9 Full HD+ LCD screen, 3750mah battery, Kirin 970 chipset, 3.5mm jack, fast charging, metal build for those who don't like the glass and plastic build of some the nearly priced smartphone. Maybe it is inferior on camera performance. To be honest, it is a more compelling package than Honor Play, and definitely trump Samsung A50, Redmi Note 7, Realme 3 Pro, OPPO F11 Pro, Vivo V15, any smartphone with SD660, SD675, SD710, and also any smartphone that sport Huawei's own Kirin 710. Some may argue that Pocophone F1 is the way to go if really want 2018 flagship performance, but Pocophone lack NFC. That's it, an underrated budget smartphone from Honor.

I faced none of the issues you mentioned after FOTA update. My observations after update: 1) During charging notification led always is on normal green color as before. 2) Charging speed is same with the supplied charger. 3) I find no battery drainage issues. Request you to perform a manual factory reset and it may solve all your issues.

After 9.0.0.192 update my honor view 10 charging speed has been significantly decreased. It takes way too much time to charge it up and battery also drains pretty fast compared to previous update. Kindly work on this issue and also when i charge it the notification led always is in dark red after 90% of charge it turns into green this is also an issue i am facing. Thank you.

In India we received a huge 718MB OTA update yesterday, mainly enabling Video over LTE (ViLTE) feature. Now View 10 has both VoLTE & ViLTE. Details about the update: Build: 9.0.0.192(C675E5R1P9) EMUI Version: 9.0.0 Android Version: 9.0 Change Log: 1) Adds ViLTE feature. 2) Optimizes call stability in certain scenarios. 3) Fixes an issue where system ringtone cannot be used. 4) Fixes as issue where Camera stabilization (EIS) fails to work. 5) Fixes an issue where Camera occasionally does not respond in AI photography mode. 6) Optimizes power consumption of certain apps. 7) Adds Google Feb, 2019 security patch. I have heard we can use the person to person video calling (ViLTE) through Jio in India. However both phones must support this feature. Personally I am highly impressed with Huawei's EMUI 9, it has now become a very well polished UI ready to challenge the mighty Samsung UI. In comparison my LG V30's UI looks & feels dated.

Charging View 10 while the phone ON produces significantly less heat as the rate of charging is slower in comparison to when the phone is switched OFF. These is because the phone during ON state takes into account the display and the SoC are ON which individually emits heat. Hence it charges the phone at a slower rate to remain within the thermal envelope while producing lower heat. However fastest charging speeds can only be achieved while the phone is switched off.

Honor View 10 is Awesome Smartphone packed with Best in Class Features. It gets heated more while charging in switched-off mode, and surprisingly doesn't heat while charging when the phone ON. Apart from that there is no issue. :-)

The upper back area of View 10 will heat up considerably when you charge using the supplied charger which supports Huawei Quickcharge tech. The battery of View 10 has a special charge voltage of 4.4 volts which is nearly half of what the 9 volt charger can deliver. So what Huawei have done is to convert and double the current to the battery to charge rapid fast. It does so by using its proprietary HiSilicon Hi6523 chip in View 10, which converts the chargers 9V, 2A (18 watt) input to 4.4V, 4A (17.6 watts, ~ 0.6 watt conversion loss) and provide 4 amperes or raw current to the battery. However this conversion generates a lot of heat by Hi6523 which you feel it in your hand. The benefit of all this is nothing short of astounding charging speeds with 0 to 50% charge in 30 mins, 0 to 75% in 50 mins, 0 to 90% in 63 mins & 0 to 100% in 80 mins flat. I did this measurement while keeping the phone switched off and charger connected. It beats my LG V30+ with Qualcomm QC 3.0 solution in charging speed. Suppose with both my V30+ & View 10 batteries fully depleted, V30+ will give me 3000 mAh of charge in 75 mins while View 10 will provide 3563 mAh in the same time. If you don't like heat use a slow charger with (5V, 2A) 10 watts or even less rating.

I am facing frequent heating issues with my view 10.particularly during charging and low network conditions.the upper back area gets heated up like anything.I have tried with clean master app 'cpu cool down' function too. all this issue arise after Pie update.does anyone having idea about the solution or any patch upgrade by android to resolve the issue.

My bad... in my previous comment I meant when updated to Android Pie (and not Oreo) the phone feels much more refined and performance oriented in day to day use. The biggest improvements View 10 brings after Pie upgrade are: 1) More polished UI (EMUI 9) 2) Improvement in camera 3) More gesture navigation options Huawei is investing big on smartphone business and it shows in their UI experience. As I previously stated you cannot go wrong with View 10. In India I bought this phone at INR 23,500K (~$327) after heavy discounts. It was a steal for that price.

On the contrary on the Honor View 10, Bluetooth & wifi connectivity has drastically improved after EMUI 9/ Android Pie update!!! Now my phone can maintain an even longer range on wifi connectivity. Previously with Bluetooth, the sound did not have the punch even at full volume, but now after the update I can hear the difference. The volume on the same Bluetooth speaker is much higher and the Bluetooth pairing is even faster. I never had any issues with Bluetooth.

Low light is very good if you have a tripod or some way to stabilize the phone. Use the night mode and you'll get great photos.

I'm about to take a huge leap (for me anyway) and purchase the Honor View 10 instead of going with yet another Samsung Galaxy phone. My first thought about this phone is that it might be too large. I'm coming off a Galaxy S6 with a display of only 5.1", which is fine for me as I have a separate tablet. But, the S8 is almost as big so I figured I'll just have to get used to it. I do take a lot of pictures with my phone. Will I notice that big of a difference from the S6? I keep reading about the "low-light" issue, and I suppose I do use my S6 in indoor, low light situations pretty often. What kind of adjustments could I make to make up for this while using the Honor View 10? How about stabilization? My other option was the Huawei Mate SE, but I've read the Honor View 10 has better stabilization. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Since upgrade to Android 9/EMUI 9 on my Honor 10 View I've had issues with Bluetooth connectivity. When connecting to my car (SEAT Leon) it now will not connect to car Bluetooth for voice telephone calls. Tried changing system settings under Bluetooth, unpaired and repaired. Also for media playback from phone it used to connect automatically to car Bluetooth but now each time I get in the car I have to turn off Bluetooth on phone and then turn back on for it to reconnect to car Bluetooth before media from phone plays via car speakers. Anyone else noticed a problem with Bluetooth connectivity? Any advice for resolving issue would be much appreciated! Many thanks

In general shooting still images under low light conditions has slightly improved. I believe the Artificial Image Stabilization (AIS) algorithm has improved with the new camera app. At least after comparing I can say View 10 has a better rear camera than Honor 10 after Pie update on both. Opposite is true for selfie camera.

My bad :( Previously I thought View 10 after latest Android Pie update supports video stabilization even at 1080p @ 60fps and also 4K UHD. This is because previously with Android Oreo their used to be a stabilizer option under camera settings which explicitly stated for higher resolution and frame-rate, video stabilization is not supported. However after Pie update, this option went missing which led me to believe EIS is supported across all resolutions. However I confirm after shooting some videos with View 10, video stabilization is supported max upto 1080p @ 30 fps. And this is true for all Honor phones with Kirin 970.

Received the much awaited Google's Android Pie update on my View 10. It is a humongous 3.92 GB update and ships with Huawei's latest EMUI 9.0 software overlay on top of Android Pie resulting in many cool new features getting introduced: 1) The top down notification panel now features white background with blue highlights. Prior it was with black background. 2) The in-display volume sliders now show up vertically on the right side rather than horizontally on the top of the display. Looks super cool and much easier to use. 3) Camera app usability has improved by leaps and bounds with a newly designed camera interface. It still has all the features but provides a much more intuitive feel while taking pictures. Still picture quality remains identical while video quality & stabilization have improved. Video stabilization is now available even for 1080p at 60fps and also 4K UHD. We also get Huawei's AI photography mode, which when set uses artificial intellegence of Kirin 970's NPU to shoot best optimized pictures. 4) The EMUI 9 update also upgrades Huawei's Easy Projection feature on View 10 with wireless connectivity. Users will now have access to One-Click Projection of phone's display on big screen televisions on same WiFi network. 5) Brand new modes of navigation & gestures. More intuitive controls with simple swipes instead of clicking on buttons, thus combining the goodies from Android Pie and Huawei EMUI 9. 6) The update also relays support for newer technologies like HiVision and HiTouch which I am yet to use and find out.

I don't know if you have used Huawei Honor View 10, but to me the 6 inch FullHD, notch-less, LTPS IPS LCD panel is of excellent quality. It is of very good quality with great viewing angles while being super bright. It can shoot over 500 nits of brightness in broad daylight and be perfectly visible while at night will dim down to 1.5 nits and not strain your eyes. Being a Low Temperature Polycrystalline Silicon (LTPS) IPS panel it is more expensive to manufacture than regular IPS LCD panels found in Asus Zenfone 5z, Huawei Honor Play and Honor 10. Benefits are low power consumption and less heat dissipation, and helps View 10 to achieve extraordinary battery life. Game centric phones like ZTE Nubia Red Magic usually prefers LTPS panels as they help keep the overall phone temperature low. All in all the display quality of View 10 is undoubtedly flagship grade and much better than my friend's similarly priced Huawei Honor Play (6GB variant) and Zenfone 5z. But then View 10 was Honor's flagship to compete head on with Oneplus 5T, while Honor Play is all about bringing flagship Kirin 970 SoC for the masses.

I am using Huawei Honor View 10 for past 6 six months as my primary device. Truly impressed with View 10's industrial design, craftsmanship & overall build quality. I find most people now-a-days make purchase decision solely looking at phone specifications, grossly omitting other import aspects of the phone. To me this is discerningly inaccurate. Personally I give great importance to the materials used to built a phone, it's overall design & build quality. In all these respects I can assure View 10 stands tall, belonging to a rare breed of all-metal uni-body design while supporting the latest trend of tall 18:9 displays. My phone looks stunning in navy blue color, with a shimmering effect under sunlight. With an all aluminium body the phone provides a secure in-hand feel, while maintaining a very thin profile which adds to its premium look. It is needless to say that I despise the current trend of glass sandwich designs where the front & back of the phone are entirely made out of glass. Definitely they look very premium with a glossy glass back while being super-fragile & smudge magnet. My brother's Oneplus 6 fell just once from his pocket and both the front & rear glasses were shattered to pieces. Truth is glass is glass & glass breaks, and for that reason only I did not go for Asus Zenfone 5z even after having the opportunity of using that phone for one whole day. The 5z with its glass sandwich design may looks slightly more premium than my View 10 but their is a high chance the moment 5z will fall it will break.

Not sure about improvement of camera. I don't have eye for such things. I can however tell you for View 10 Android 8 you can try the Google camera night sight port it's working. Go Google the Huawei version. However it's no longer working (crash etc) atm for Android 9

It's screen isn't gorilla glass right? I am always worried about breaking the glass. Tempered glass these days are imo crap quality even coins will scratch them. I am not sure about build quality of phones I have extremely tough looking Lenovo P2 previously yet I somehow during one of my accidental drops manage to bend one of its hard metal casing.

I feel let down with new android pie(9). Seems to missing a lot of default stuffs including important Adaptive Battery (AI). According to some people it's also missing gestures from Pie and many other stuffs. I personally feel slightly more battery drain I think. I also did the usual factory reset after major android updates.

In India at Amazon the Honor Play 6/64 GB retails for INR 24K and Honor View 10 6/128 GB for INR 25K. I got the View 10 over Play because of the following reasons: 1) The display of View 10 is truly flagship grade, much better than Honor Play. It has better color rendering, higher brightness & more contrast. Both are 1080p LCD panels however the View 10 is a 6 inch 18:9 non-notch design while Play comes in 6.3 inch 19.5:9 with notch. For gaming definitely View 10 is my pick, gaming phones from Razor, Asus do not have a notch. Even though Play has a slightly taller display, View 10 display is 1mm wider, so ultimately the characters are slightly bigger in View 10 which is a plus. 2) View 10 have 128 gigs of UFS 2.1 flash storage which is 64 gigs more than Honor Play. Both have expandable memory options. 3) The camera in View 10 is leagues ahead than Play be it main camera or selfie. After all View 10 was Honor's flagship built to challenge OnePlus 5T on the open. EIS & AIS video & image stabilization is available on both phones. After comparing the camera samples of my View 10 with my freind's Honor Play, I will say the Play's camera is sub par and belong to the INR 12K price category. 4) Both phones now ship with GPU Turbo technology and have Kirin 970 onboard. 5) Both phones will receive Android Pie from Honor in the future. 6) Both have same 3750 mAH battery. In the end it feels like Huawei's marketing team gave Honor Play development team an objective to create cut down version of View 10 so that they can launch a new phone with lower price & GPU Turbo hype.

I admit, Honor V10/ View 10 is a rugged, build to last all metal phone that can take a lot more abuse and accidental drops than the current trend of glass bodies phones and still be intact. The latest glass sandwich design found in most phones today is a new trend that has arrived in 2018, to make them look even more premium. But pushing for premium look have its price and now the phones are as brittle as glass, which is exactly what the latest phones are made of. Amazingly the low end budget segment cannot even use glass and are using plastic on the back of the phone which looks like glass.

Ive been using v10 for past 1 year.. infact my mrw also using a v10 n my 1 year old boy so much in love with this phone where he will throw the phone whenever youtube start buffering and the fact its still doesnt have a single scratch amaze me... The build quality is just so good.. compare to my note fe where with one throw it just boom n the screen need rm1200 for fixing

It looks stunning in the navy blue color I bought, with a shimmering effect. It provides a secure built-to-last feel in-hand and exudes premium in every way. It is needless to say that I despise the current trend of all-glass super-premium looking designs while being super-fragile. My brother's Oneplus 6 just fell once from his pocket and both the front & rear glass was shattered into pieces. Glass is glass & glass breaks, and that's the reason why I did not go for Asus Zenfone 5z after having the experience of using that phone for 1 complete day. The 5z looks slightly more premium than View 10 with its glass sandwich design but the moment it will fall it will break. 2) Display: The FullHD, IPS LCD display used in View 10 is truly flagship grade. It is a very high quality IPS panel with great viewing angles while being super bright. All in all the display quality is undoubtedly flagship grade and much better than my friend's similarly priced Huawei Honor Play. The Play may have a slightly bigger notched display, but is neither as bright or as accurate in color rendering that of View 10. But then View 10 was Honor's flagship to compete head on with Oneplus 5T, while Honor Play is all about bringing flagship Kirin 970 SoC for the masses. 3) HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC: View 10 ships with Huawei flagship HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset. While comparing with other flagship SoCs in benchmarks scores it easily beats the best from Mediatek, the Helios P60 but then looses out to Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 845. But then to me these scores are just numbers and have next to no importance in daily life as long as they are adequately powerful which fortunately all flagship SoCs are. What actually matters to me is how optimized the SoC is and the manufacturing process it uses which defines its power efficiency. It that sense the Kirin 970 ranks as a Tier-1 flagship SoC, using latest 10 nano-meter manufacturing process packing a total of 5.5 billion transistors. It's octa-core CPU side slightly more powerful that P60, but the GPU is very powerful 12-core Mali G72. Cleverly Huawei had used all its synergies in the right direction for Kirin 970 buy not blindly running for peak performance over previous generation Kirin 960, but rather optimizing CPU sustained performance, providing two times better GPU performance, low power consumption leading to great battery life improvements. I can also see new innovations like a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) for artificial intelligence. All in all I must admit I was pleasantly surprised with Kirin 970's performance capabilities, giving more importance to real day-to-day life sustained performance rather than opting for chart topping benchmark scores which relies on peak performance that are of no use. 4) Emotion UI: Needless to say, View 10's Emotion UI 8.0 (EMUI) on top of Android Oreo is very well thought, well designed & optimized overlay build specifically for their in-house Kirin 970 SoC. Knowing Huawei core business I expected class leading modem integrated with their Kirin 970 and I was not disappointed. It also supports true dual 4G VoLTE funtionality i.e you can insert two Jio sims simultaneously and View 10 will support 4G VoLTE on both. Normally even with Snapdragon 835 if one network is in 4G, the other switches to 3G. In-reality Kirin 970 was the first SoC in the world to support true dual 4G VoLTE and View 10 was the first phone in India to ship with this functionality. 7) Camera: View 10 always had an excellent camera hardware, having the merit to challenge OnePlus 5T on the open. However when initially launched early 2018, View 10 camera software was half baked with no support for image stabilization be it still photography or video. This is why every reviewer at the time of its launch said 5T had slightly better camera of the two. Roll on 10 months,now Honor had repeatedly updated the camera app, loaded with features and made it perfect. Support for Electronic Image Stabilization(EIS) came few months before providing great video stabilization on View 10. Just a month before we also got Artificial Image Stabilization (AIS) which improved stability while shooting still image under low light. Result is View 10 now has as better camera than OnePlus 5T. I made some real comparisons with other phones in the last two months, and my personal opinion is View 10 is on par with Asus Zenfone5Z & Oneplus 5T in still photography or video. It holds true for both good or artificial lighting conditions. The pictures turns out to be excellent, with good detailing, excellent contrast and having good exposure. But my brother's more expensive Oneplus 6 in undoubtedly better. All in all you will not be disappointed with the rear camera performance of View 10, I will say its most closest competitor is Zenfone 5Z and both are equally good in this department. But if you want an even better rear camera quality look for Oneplus 6. The front 13MP selfie camera also good and turns out to be adequate for my needs even though I don't use them much. Honor Play is nowhere near the View 10 rear camera performance. 8) Huawei GPU Turbo: With the latest update, View 10 supports Huawei's much hyped GPU Turbo technology. The game needs to support this tech, so I played PUBG in the highest setting available for an hour and the View 10's played it with no stutter or frame drops. I then play my most favorite game Asphalt 9 which does not support GPU Turbo at highest settings. Then too View 10 handled the game like a flagship device should and the Kirin 970 proved to me that it can play any game available on the Android world at its highest setting at 1080p resolution. 9) Fingerprint Sensor & Face Unlock: Honor somehow managed to cram in the fingerprint reader in the front just below the 6 inch, 18:9 tall display of View 10. This is the fastest fingerprint sensor I have experienced, speed & responsiveness is even better that Zenfone 5Z and right here with Oneplus 6. While giving full marks to honor for their fingerprint sensor, the face unlock is a 80-20 hit-miss affair, gets the job done under good lighting conditions but struggles under dim light just like 5Z. 10) Battery Backup &Fast charging: Honor View 10 ships with a large 3,750 mAh battery which is considerably larger than the 3,300 mAh that comes with both Zenfone 5z & Oneplus 6. The EMUI 8.0 on View 10 is very intelligent and uses its AI capabilities along with Kirin 970 SoC to provide extraordinary battery endurance, maybe the best in flagship territory. While the 5z & OP6 will take you through one day of heavy usage, the View 10 will last you for 1.5 days easily. And for casual usage it will last for 2 days eyes closed. Coming to the wall charger, in India we get a 18 watts (9V, 2A) charger bundled with View 10, which supports Huawei Quick Charge tech as well as Qualcomm QC 2.0. And boy is it fast. The battery of View 10 have a special charge voltage of 4.4 volts which is nearly half of what the 9 volt the charger can deliver.So what Huawei have done is to convert and double the current to the battery to charge rapid fast. It does so by using its proprietary HiSilicon Hi6523 chip in View 10, which converts the chargers 9V, 2A (18 watt) input to 4.4V, 4A (17.6 watts) and provide 4 amperes or raw current to the battery. Results are astounding with 0 to 50% charge in 30 mins, 0 to 75% in 50 mins, 0 to 90% in 63 mins & 0 to 100% in 80 mins flat. I did this measurement with my phone switched off and charger connected. It beats the Zenfone 5z hands down and only a shade slower than my brothers Oneplus 6 with Dashcharge tech. 11) Price: I love value for money smartphones. Unfortunately flagships never fall into this category. However View 10 have now made to this sweet spot in pricing. I bought this phone on Amazon during Independence day offer on Aug, 2018 at INR 23.5K after heavy discounts making it the best VFM flagship smartphone at that time. Now in Oct, 2018 both Amazon & other online retailers will sell both View 10 & Zenfone 5z at this same price and both phones are steal at this price.

Huawei Honor View 10 uses their own HiSilicon Hi6403 audio codec, which shows some impressive numbers on paper and is a substantial upgrade than its predecessors. We get 32bit@384 KHz HD audio support along with AI noise reduction. Excellent noise floor of -117dB and dynamic range is impressive 117dB. However the audio quality through 3.5 mm audio jack is satisfactory at best on par with iPhone's & Qualcomm's own codec solutions found in most phones. An audiophile will never be satisfied with the sound quality for View 10 or Oneplus 6. Don’t take it otherwise; it will satisfy almost all users except few like me. I am a music lover and very critical about sound quality, as I have been using phones which are champs on sound quality department like Lenovo Vibe X3 and Vivo X5Max. These phones have dedicated audio DACs and power amplifiers which take your headphone listing experience to another level. The best option is to stick to ear buds or in-ear headphones with View 10 and the sound becomes at-least better than Oneplus 6. The Asus Zenfone 5z is a much better phone in this regard.

No phone is perfect. Neither is Huawei Honor View 10. Being a flagship device I expected a minimum of Gorilla Glass 3 display protection but that's sadly not the case. Later I found Honor phones in general never specify any display protection. I admit the glass over the display seems of very high quality, but I will whole heartedly advise every user of View 10 to get a high quality tempered glass protector like Nillkin Amazing H+ Pro and play safe.

The secondary sensor of the rear camera module is a monochrome 20MP sensor. And i can very well shoot B/W images with that sensor. However the View 10 does a pretty darn good job with its digital 2X zoom making it near lossless. It takes images from both rear camera modules and superimposes them together. This, in combination with the multiple frames the camera captures, reduces noise and retains resolved detail at a very high level.

It has the same camera as my Mate 10 Pro and some other Huawei phones and it goes like this. The 20mp colour setting doesn't have any zoom. The 20mp monochrome setting does, but in practise you need a tripod if you want to use this over 2x set manually. At 20mp, on both colour and b/w, by opening the aperture setting, you get the 2x zoom automatically although the picture resolution alters to 12mp also automatically. Up to 6x zoom is enabled at 12mp and at 9, 8 and 5mp where using the aperture setting will also open the lossless 2x function. The highest level of zoom available is in fact 10x. Also the HDR setting will alter the camera from 20mp to 12mp or lower if enabled. I hope this explains something.

Battery performance is exemplary on View 10 and so is Huawei propriety fast charging. You will be hard-pressed to find a flagship device with 2 days battery backup under heavy usage. The EMUI is well optimized with AI and helps to save battery. Regarding newly added AIS feature, I find a slight improvement in stabilization under low light still photography. Having bought this phone for as low as $325 for the 6 gigs ram version with 128 gigs of onboard storage I must admit I am highly satisfied.

Recently I got hold of a Huawei Honor View 10. By brother very recently bought the Xiaomi Poco F1. After using both for sometime below is my opinion: 1) If you want an all rounder with great looks, premium metal build, better display, better rear camera, IR blaster, better network reception & call quality then go for View 10/ V10. I recently got the View 10 (6GB + 128GB) for as low as INR 23.5K under offers from Amazon India. 2) If you just want most raw performance per buck then close your eyes and get the Poco F1. My brother got the (6GB + 128GB) for INR 24K. The SD845 under the hood of F1 is slightly more powerful that Kirin 970 SoC found in View 10 and on daily usage both are blazing fast. You will not notice any difference in speed while using both the phones on a daily basis. However Poco desperately lacks the premium in-hand feel and looks of View 10. To be the Honor View 10 is the clear winner and by brother also thinks so.

Have u check it in safe mode. For safe mode 1. Start by shutting down your phone. 2. Turn it back on. 3. When you see the blue screen animation, press and hold the Volume down button until you get to the lock screen. 4. The Safe mode label in the lower left corner of the screen shows that your phone is now in safe mode. 5. Simply restart your phone to exit the safe mode.

Hi! If you dont like the default audio output quality to 3.5mm jack (and rightly so), there is a solution! Install PowerAmp 3 Beta (there is a button for this in the 2.0 app), go to Output settings and enable "Wired Headset" in "OpenSL ES HD Output". This will drastically and completely change the output quality for the better, now you can actually enjoy the sound!

U would not dissapoint if u pick this V10. Camera are a lot better than Note 5 & 4x, performance is flagship grade, high level gpu for gaming (plus later get the gpu turbo tech), among the fastests fps and face unlock. As for pricing, Oneplus 5T is a direct competitor to V10. Pure stock android and flagship performance as well, but camera on V10 is better. But no expandable storage while V10 have it.

Had my View 10 about a fortnight now. Great in many ways with lots to like, but plenty of niggles which may or may not be down to EMUI. Problems with widgets not updating, notifications not coming through, then playing default sound rather than the dedicated app sound. Bluetooth not connecting without manual intervention. These issues don't seem to be exclusive to the View 10 but across many Huawei/Honor handsets. They really should fix stuff like this but sadly probably won't.

Did you read the disclaimer? Also even if it's big battery obviously there are some batteries do not perform the same as standard. Why are you talking about the battery? Are you an Honor View 10 phone owner that face such issue? Or just another person who looks down this phone just because of some review so that they could feel better for themselves getting another phone. I had no issues with the battery life.

The battery is much larger than average, obviously there are larger ones. But GSMArena's battery life list gives it only a 74 hours endurance rating, that's poor for a battery that size. I would expect that of a 3000 mAh or smaller battery but not one as large as 3750 mAh.

You need to use the included cable and charger and you should by right charge 1.5hrs max for full charge. IT'S USING SuperCharge you cannot use Quick Charge. I am not sure if it accepts Fast Charge another tech by Huawei. --------------------------------------------- Regarding the latest firmware. According to Firmware Finder for Huawei (Playstore App) by Team MT there is a new 141 firmware its called BKL-L09C636B141 (8.0.0.141) (FullOTA-MF) 2.857GB I don't know if its taken from OTA. It's not a large battery it's not even 4000mAh if you want a big battery go for Lenovo P2 Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 or Mix Max 2. That said I got exactly 11.5hrs SoT with 2 hrs of it on games and rest on fb, web browsing and YouTube.

I'm able to get 7-8 hours of screen on time. 4-5 hours of tv series, 30 min of gaming and 30 min of browsing. Whenever I reduce tv series duration SOT goes up to 9-10 hours. I'd say battery back is good. Regarding updates, my opinion is getting less frequent and stable update is better than receiving monthly updates with full of bugs. I was using redmi note 3 for 2 years and mi was never able to push out one proper update. Every update had plenty of bugs. Battery back up was terrible with 4 hours of sot despite having 4000 mah. We will get updates but it'll be slow. I don't think it's that big of a deal. I've read that hauwei provides updates for two years so as long we get stable updates it's fine even its slow.

I think it charges slow so that the phone doesn't overheat when you're using because fast charging tends to produce heat. Im not 100% sure but I think thats how it works.

Even after the updates, it could charge only upto 92% and from then on it slowly drains while still plugged in. From 0 to 92 it took only 1 hour 5 minutes. While charging it becomes very hot. All this while charging with phone switched off. While using a 90% charged battery it is not losing charge unduly, at least now. This is battery should be replaced or not? Otherwise I am happy with the phone.

Nice sensible and unbiased comments. 👍 Got a Honor V 10 3 weeks back. Lovely phone. Nice display, fast, cameras good, but for lack of image stabilization. But from first charging itself, battery is not charging fully ( only upto around 90%) and phone gets quite a bit hot and after that if I continue charging it slowly drains while charging. Did 2 updates and waiting to see whether it has corrected the issue.

Transfer using usb on the go cable. If you from iphone, huawei's emui is the closest ui as ios, they even had this option where there is no app tray, just like ios. If budget is not your issue, just get huawei mate 10 pro, look at all review on the web about it, all are excellent. Btekt even gave it 10/10 score. Forgot the no jacks problem, nowadays blutooth earphone/headphones are very cheap with good quality.

Beauty of Android vs iOS... don't like the launcher? Install another one. Still not happy, there's TONS of options to fit your personal taste. Heck you can even ruin the look and make it like iOS, Windows, or even old school Blackberry. But it's all up to you, experiment away! Now One+ vs the View 10? Good question. I don't honestly think you can go wrong with either one. I like the One+ screen a touch better, but feel like the View 10 is just a touch quicker and the battery life seemed to do a little better. No complaints about the camera or anything else in a week of messing with either one. As for the smaller Pixel in the game... I'd say no. You're taking plenty of steps back. The screen is smaller, the old aspect ratio and it's still had it's quirks (though less than the XL). Plus I'm not a fan of paying to be Google's lab rat. Welcome to the fun of Android. Having to make choices of more than just color and storage size before you even buy a phone.

The super charge is da bomb, 0 to 100 percent within one and a half hour of charging, battery life is awesome (can easily last 5 to 6 hours of heavy usage), camera is great (that's if u like a little more saturated colours pictures) but sadly there's no OIS or EIS for this phone. Performance still super smooth after almost 2 months usage. In conclusion this phone is great but I am a bit disappointed because of the lack of EIS or OIS

If u come from LG G2, then all of the mentioned issues diffirentiate like night and day. Include quick charger, battery charge not as fast as 1+, but still fast and will be faster by time cause AI collecting info. Dont worry about updates as it support project treble. Low lights, best out there for a non OIS range phone (1+ 5t hit higher iso, cause overbright and more noise). View 10 is Honor 10, continuos from honor 8 pro and honor 9, all of them v-series in china. Top graphic performance cause use FHD res, unlike 2k res in 8 pro. If 5t price same as v10, get 5t, if v10 cheaper, no brainer, just buy v10.

Hi, please give honest advice. In my country, Huawei Mate 10 (not Mate 10 Pro) and Honor View 10 pricing is very near, just around USD 50, the Huawei Mate 10 is being price cut close to Honor View 10 price. Both are much cheaper than Oneplus 5T, both 64GB and 128GB version. The only thing Mate 10 lose to View 10, is the 64GB storage, and 4GB RAM. View 10 comes with 128GB and 6GB RAM. View 10 also comes with the new all screen display 18:9, Mate 10 is 16:9, but Mate 10 is 2K resolution, HDR10. Support and warranty matter, I won't considering Oneplus 5T (Oneplus 5 is obsolete in my country at the moment). Then, there is also Samsung Note FE, price in between the two. However, I hate that Samsung, being using the pointless curve display, which actually pointless on day to day usage (distorting video viewing, distorting image display). My heart goes to that basic Mate 10, as it is having better camera (OIS and F1.6 lens), better display, much bigger battery too. What do you think? PS: Won't considering Mate 10 Pro, as lacking the Micro SD slot, no 3.5mm jack, feel the Mate 10 actually is the better practical device than Mate 10 Pro.

After 10 days i am really flabergasted from the view 10. With 4 hours screentime a day it's possible to use without recharge two days the phone. The Voice Quality is also verry clear and the connection wit my wifi and 4g is so seamless. The AI option in the camera is awesome so that you take fast the perfect pictures because the phone recognize the object. It's also possible to take 3d Photos and amazing Panorama Photos. The phone is really smart and give full English Voice support so that you communicate complete with Voice commands to you're phone. The 6gb ram and 128gb rom with possibility to put 256 gb sd make the phone extreme quick and give amazing much storage. At this moment the press jumps on the pressentation from Galaxy S9 but i am sure that honor view 10 is half price and much beter. A bit stuttering maybe normal, just give it a rest, and maybe minor update will fix it. About AI its not gimmicky, its just u dont notice it, suce as hundreds scenes recognition in camera, self learning ur usage of phone from time to time, u will noticing that ur your phone will charge faster a bit day by day, and battery life improving day by day, all those worked by the hidden AI. Face unlock not a gimmick, u already has fps, so any other extra security features is always welcomed.

Umm, my Sony Xperia Z3 (with quad-core 32 bits CPU) is faster than my Exynos S7 in real life usage, just going to settings takes 2 secs, then I play games on emulators and Kirin and Exynos are always throttling there, from videos i've seen and from my own test. Plus the Mali GPU does graphics glitches. You act like my point was from benchmarks only... psh!

In not more than 5months, the phone is NEWS at times a many and also we can sit back relax for next 2 years for it supports excellent updates and all together whatever comes to market related to software. I had the Nokia 8...as a phone I loved it, It was fast and felt very nice in the hand and did everything....apart from good photo's. The camera is very bad at anything that is slightly moving which meant it was useless at taking pictures of my new daughter. Its about personal preference. Oneplus 5T a good budget snapdragon 835 near to stock rom, direct competition to Honor V10. No matter what your choice is, both phones are good for the price. PS; Samsung rom are heavy loaded with tweaks, not very good ram management, maybe that makes the throttle cause.

PSP emulator works better on my phone with Snapdragon 801 than Exynos 8890 and the Exynos is more recent so, and from videos I've watched dolphin emulator runs better on SD 820/821/835 than Exynos 8890, I can't even run GameCube games at 2 fps because of some drivers problems which will never be fixed from what I see, my last hope is that they fix it while updating S7 to Oreo. Meanwhile games running at 18-30 fps on SD 835 Then I noticed Exynos and Kirin throttle more than Snapdragon, so I'll just buy what I think suits me.

Yes.. I get the same soound..like some screw is fallen off inside.. And you know what.. It anoys me so much, that i opened the back cover.. And found out that camera lenses are mounted on some sort of system which allowes them to move slighlty and produce this sound.. Since i doesnt have OIS, not really sure what is that for. for back button closed the apps, it depend on the appa whether it has running services or not. if it has running service, then it wont close. that is android design. and if it doesnt have running service/process, sunce it has 6gb of ram, android will choose to keep it in cache ram. cache ram doesnt mean its running, its andtoid design to keep apps as much as it can under ram cache so that opening the apps is from ram, not from internal memory. and its android design, not honor or huawei. for depth effect, they have wide aperture mode which u can choose diff fstop(by software), and can choose how deep u want the depth. its in camera app, at the top of the screen.

honor v10 review after 2 days usage 1) Back button to close the app.. If we hit the back button to close the app, for ex whatsapp. It only minimizes, and do not close the app instead it still runs. This is problamtic as the app is still running, which drainse the battery, and if we had open several apps, all those continues to run even thou if we hit back button. 2) Navigation keys is sick which is not given on the body 3) Camera Depth effect is ineffective. I mean user cannot take a depth effect. 4) Motion gesture like taking screenshot opening apps is painful as we need to tap with Knuckle, and most of the time doesnt work at all. Got the phone 5 days ago, I'm from Malaysia. GAMING TEST 1 ) Played Honkai Impact 3 for an hour. 100% -> 79 % Battery life. Device got slightly warm, but not hot at all. WAZE TEST 1 ) Device did not heat up despite it being a summer day during my 2.5 hour long drive home today. My old Redmi Note 3 tend to heat up and occasionally "freeze". Very happy about that. OS Review - I prefer MIUI, this one seems a bit clunky, and the icons and pretty bland/horrible. - I noted running nothing but the OS consumes 2.5 of the 6 gigs of RAM this phone has. Fingerprint sensor - Very accurate and fast Knuckling gesture - Apparently if you swipe the device with your knuckles, it will start split screen mode. I've seen youtube videos of this. It does not work for me. Split screen works, but my knuckles seem to be detected as a finger swipe :(. Battery life : Quite amazing. I worked for an entire day 8-5, so I checked my phone maybe a few times for messages, whatsapp a little, and I only losy 6 % of battery by the days end ( 100 to 94 ). Charging : I have not tested a full charge, the lowest I went was 49 % and it hit 100 within 1 hour. It uses USB type C tho, to me it is a change and I believe it will be troublesome as most of my family/friends have normal android chargers, so I need to carry my charger everywhere. Overall. I am very happy with the product for the price I paid ( 2099 Malaysian Ringgit )

Because V10 is Honor and P10 is Huawei in terms of branding. Honestly, it's not really that hard to figure out. Whilst V10 is a stellar device for its price, there's still a few trade offs compared to P10. If I remember correctly, P10 has stereo speakers, AMOLED screen with higher PPI, etc. which the v10 doesn't have. And don't forget about the cameras. P10 still produces better still captures and they have the Leica branding + processing which ultimately added to the cost.

I have the blue one. The sound quality itself is really good it has all the lows and highs, but not loud enough (through headphones). So I got the phone and here are my views Pros Good build quality Nice looking phone premium Awesome camera 128gb storage 6 gb ram strong performance Smooth touch Good battery life Cons SOUND QUALITY I don't know if it is only my unit or is widespread but the audio quality is really bad no sound separation too much treble too little bass even after tweaking in the Huawei sound settings it sounds cheap harsh and without depth moreover using any other eq app from the app store completely nullifies the sound which is wierd.. After long period of listening my ear started to hurt so big drop of quality from 8 pro which BTW is excellent in audio SCREEN the screen is ok nothing to great... It looks advanced only because of the ratio 18:9 otherwise the colour are undersaturated dull and lack depth/punch.. I have compared it to the Huawei honor 8 pro and the 8 pro is miles ahead.. Now I understand the 8 pro is quad HD but still the colours are more vivid on it than the v10... Also the over all screen just feels less premium and more like a tn lcd screen So I would say good phone except for these two points

Honor View 10 got built in equalizer and bass control named HuaweiHisten, therefore the sound does improve than Honor 8 pro, which only has DTS, that makes sound worse...have to use poweramp for my honor 8 pro.

Review after 3 days of usage - 1. Not as easy to handle as OP5T - mainly because the phone is fully flat, and does not have the subtle curve which OP5T has. 2. Battery charging speed is inconsistent - for 2 days, the "fast" battery charging took 2 hours to reach 100% from ~10%, while on the 3rd day it reached 100% in about 1hour 15min. Not sure if this is dependent upon whether the phone is in-use during charging or not. 3. Decent battery life, but not outstanding. Survives reasonably heavy usage till the end of the day (15 hours), with 10% remaining. I'm getting SOT of around 3.75 hours with 3 hours of calls in-between and Maps / Ola / Uber usage. 4. Loudspeaker is of average loudness, unlike the Mate 10 which has exceptional loudness. 5. Need to get used to some bits of the UI. For example, the status bar size (incl. text and icons) is really small. 6. While looks are subjective, in my opinion the OP5T looks and feels much more premium.

U mean got OIS? Well yeah, but xiaomi low light camera quality results came out just like v10 and 5t quality which both dont have OIS. Unlike OIS in Huawei mate series, P10 series, samsung, apple, which make a good use of their OIS.

Both oneplus 5t and honor view 10 dont have OIS. Name me a phone that have ois in this price range. Honor view 10 also have eis like oneplus 5t, but only available when using 1080p 30fps and lower. Sound quality is good cause got HuaweiHisten. For a non-ois range phone, its one of the top low lights camera, just like oneplus 5t. Sure it got no amoled, but got vivid mode (wont use it anyway, oversaturate and unnatural like amoled). Screen reported strong as gorilla glass, but have to wait teardown review as on that time will know what glass this honor view 10 use. And yes, honor view 10 cheaper than oneplus 5t. Indeed this is a flagship level phone, but its not at flagship price phone.

I don't know what u r talking about . In my s7 edge and note edge I use poweramp for music. But honor 10 even the default player sounds great . The best thing is the Huawei Histen works for YouTube too. So u can customise audio settings for any app. For me audio was great . Though I haven't tested the devices u have mentioned except one plus 5t. This sounds way better than one plus 5 t with the same Sony headphones.

Hey this is karthik krish. I tested audio with the default music player . Output is great. Bass and treble well balanced . There is extra bass option if u want it like punchy bass. Also there are equaliser options . Haven't fiddled with that much. But the default setting with extra bass was too good. It doesn't have dts or dolby properitery. But have 3d audio with 3 options . Centre, wide and over head . Didn't try those either.

All ran with full graphics without any lag. 5.Camera: Front camera is good. Still havent tested in all light conditions. Rear cam is awesome esp the monchrome sensors. Takes crispy pics like pixel 2. 6. Sensors: It has all the sensors including gyro though indian website hasnt listed them. Infact it has some additional sensors which ai will make use of them i guess in future. Cons: 1. Too heavy 2. Ai( not sure what it does. Feels like marketing gimmick)But we have to wait and see after OTA update which huawei has promised. Overall an awesome phone. I also own s7 edge. My brother is using Oneplus 5T 6GB (Rs. 32999) since last 1.5 month and satisfied his overall quality quality (Like premium build quality, camera clarity, fast updating, supb dash charger. I never mentioned oppo. My friend is also using same xiaomi phone phone from three years and has not faced problem yet. Xiaomi was the first chinese brand which didn't disappoint unlike oppo vivo and other crap phones. And then i used oneplus and huawei and these both also disappoint. It has a lot of features, you would love it. It is almost like Mate 10. The only difference is the audio sound quality which is much better on the Mate 10 both in loud speaker and headphone. The next difference is the resolution. FHD+ as against QHD. lastly the battery 4000 mAh as against 3750 mAh. Honor did this little downgrade bring mid-range price to bear. Great staff. Also the very last different is the aspect ratio. Honor view 10 is modern.

Yes this phone has IR blaster and has corning gorilla glass 3 but the sound is normal nothing special. It also has one of the very best face recognition for opening your phone. If it had 32-bit or even 24 big I would say this for is an excellent phone for the price. But even so it is the best together with Oneplus 5t.

Yes they are stupid. Having 400 eur phone were any app loads in 3 seconds for example and buy a S8 for 700 eur where the app loads in 2 seconds makes no sense. Rest is crap. In 2 years of period phone went for repair more than 20 times de to completely frozen touch screen where nothing helped. In 2012 Had iphone 6 but sold it due to battery problems when gaming. Man i have a vibeshot almost from release day and it works great even after 2 and half year. P2 has much better battery and last much longer than this. By the way you cant compare P2 with this because P2 is excellent device with best battery for a really good price. This one is just expensive phone with mediocre battery and big screen. But i went in rain with my Honor8pro (H8P inside covers though)accidentally, still few drops of water went inside and you know what happened, it destroyed my Screen, audio port and subports for which I had paid Rs 6500 for replacement. OIS stands for Optical Image Stabilization. It means that the picture or video will be less blurry with ois (because of the shaking hands). OIS is a mechanical stabilization (with moving optical lens inside the camera)

Nope. I went from Note 4 to Mate 9 and I'm very happy with Huawei. No more shitty amoled screen with yellowish white color and burned-in effect! Brightness is also very good, colors are little less punchy but still very good. Battery life... Heh, Mate 9 leave Note 4 in the dust! Also very snappy phone. So, resolution on Honor doesn't drain battery because it's a lcd screen,but it has effect on processor usage and because of that it drain battery faster. But so it does Note 4 too... BTW, with Mate 9 I got 3 months warranty on broken screen and additional one year warranty more, so 3 years in total.

Just as expected. It does have headphone jack and sd card slot, no OIS camera. But it has 16mp rgb sensor where as mate 10 series have 12mp. It will have much more details and it has been proven that previous Honor 8 pro produce one of the best quality image in low lights with non OIS phone. Its cheaper and definitely an Oneplus 5t killer. Good job.

Guys calm down. GSM arena just assume that it has no headphone jack because of the trend. But by looking at the picture, u can clearly see the headphone jack output. The rest of the specs also unknown yet, including the no sd card slot, wait for this 28 december when it announce. GSM arena just ASSUME. The new kirin 970 is for sure. And for those not sure why huawei outs this and make it half price than mate 10 pro have no worries, the mate series are more quality than honor. so you have $400 headphones and use it on a phone to listen to music, correct? 99% of the people that passes me on the street with earphones are the ones provided with the phone. I've a 4 drive earphones that cost me around 350 euros (on a discount), and i've an htc u11. on a day to day use, i use the ones provided with the phone, they are good enough (fantastic to most people that are used to 20 euros or less earphones) to not worry about the sound quality and go around everywhere without woring about breaking an expensive gear. in home, i've monitor headphones, denon av and B&W 5.1 set up. my 3.5" earphones i use it on the work attached to the computer with external dac (because internal motherboards dac sucks). so my point is...who are audiophiles...spend money on devices...each to different scenarios. an all in on solution is not compatible with audiophile universe...so in normal use...for normal people...changing from 3.5" to usb c jack...is not a big deal...i've htc devices exactly because they are on of the bests on sound quality. ive htc 10 and 11 and the earpads provided are very good for day to day use.

No Leica lens, and although CPU is Kirin 970 (same as Mate), GPU is Mali-G72 "MP4" vs Mali-G72 "MP12" on Mate series. Edit: GSM Arena says MP4, some other places mention MP12 on GPU.

Phone looks great. SD card should be mandatory. Headphone jack is an option but as we all know his era going to an end so rather not. Battery and specs are good camera as well. Screen is also nice. We will see the price.

128GB is good enough, i use dual sim on my Honor 8 wich means no SD for me. Get an NAS from example Synology or QNAP and have your own personal online storage 24/7 and you will be fine ;)

Please Huawei add the card slot for us and the 3.5mm Jack for us in this one it is very important. Also battery life should be as good as the Mate 10 pro. Battery life is 96h of endurance rating and that is really amazing battery life. It should be same here.

Yea....except on flights where you want to access your movies or where you get crappy reception, it ain't gonna work. Also, nobody wants to pay for services such as Spotify or Amazon Video to have access to that stuff. Micro SD card is still going to be the future whether you like it or not.

It is not huge and is very lightweight and i can open big headphones. When i walk, I carry my phone always on my left back pocket of my jeans, the fiio k1 hangs out a little outside the pocket and i do not feel any extra weight, any inconvenience. And the difference of sound quality is huge. I will never come back to the weak 3,5 mm output. And if i must charge it, no problem i have all the night to charge the phone , when i am not listening to the music. My battery lasts around 35-40 hours without charging. And when i charge the phone, i do not listen music.No problem. Also, i use JBL Everest 700 wireless headphones. Walking without wires attached is so enchanting !!!

I ditch for over one year the 3,5 mm jack, even if i have one on my samsung S7, because i use the microusb output for listening at headphones with a Fiio K1 micro dac/amplifier, very light and small , wich make the sound 10 times better and louder in my headphones. Go for Fiio K1 connected at phone or tablet with a microusb otg adaptor and you will forget the classic analog 3,5 mm hp output.

Wrong, Mate 10 Pro has a 18:9 Ratio resolution/display which are now being used to most of flagship phones and,.....the Mate 10 Pro's camera is powered by Leica Lens optics.
