I have 2 webos phones One is palm pre or 2 and one is hp veer 4g Both are in working condition There is a dedicated webos forum with plenty of friendly people that unofficially supports the devices I sideload my stuffs with their help and was very happy You can use Skype and google map on hp veer 4g can you imagine ..... although watching YouTube videos can be pain in the ass at times since the hardware is really old and it doesn’t open video as quick as some of today’s super fast phones but all in all..... a wonderful experience consider how long the platform has been dead .....

idk about the veer but i have a plam pre plus and the same happens to me, tunr on airplane more for a few secs then turn it back off.i do this and im up and running fine again

i been using my veer for about a year now and i reset it a month ago and ever since then i can not connect to internet using the sim data unless i use wifi and it is so disturbing also i can not delete drfirstuse. pls help me i really love my phone

have been using this phone for the last 6 months....what an awesome phone..if you only need a tiny phone with good email s/w and general web browsing...apart from that is pretty sad, yes it has a few bugs and the webos market is pathetic amongst other things... i just wish some of the big name android manufacturers would have the balls and bring out a phone this size ....

for all people whom has problems with apn, password email on start the firstime the hp veer n above all when u are aut usa, this can b a nasty experienc am in colombia, just go and click on the liitle phon that is on the right side of your screen n pressa call emergency ofcourse delete it first and type this code #*3386633# an finally click .. then will apear enable develope mode, n click it n rstar it ,, ta-ta. your phone is working..now there is another little problem your palm profile,, ok but it is easy to solve dwnload via quickinstall something called impostah and once click on an square called activation and ready to enjoyr, luck and grees from colombia if u need more help add me at [email protected]

I recently purchased an unlocked HP VEER 4G from ebay Global. On inserting the SIM, the phone takes me to the "profile page" and asks for my email and password. I do it and after some searching, the phone replies that the authentication has failed. The same thing is repeated all over even when I try to enter the APN manually. Can anyone guide me if there is a method to create a valid authentication on the phone or better still to bypass the "profile" page altogether so I can access the VEER properly. The phone gives a very good feel but in absence of the "profiling", it is just a useless toy. I would be really grateful if anyone guides me in the above matter.

got mine a couple of weeks ago.. great phone on a small piece main cons is bluetooth not allow to transfer files, this is really frustrating on other hand, it has fantastic voice quality (be sure to always slide it to make / receive calls), webos is great on multitasking and usability, email setup is pretty easy and works great, there are apps for facebook and twitter access. I reccomend it to anyones looking for a suitable phone

all i can say, this phone is great, small but powerful...have useful applications...its really amazing, on its size, u just can't believe it...webOS for me is one of the best OS for devices...iOS and webOS are the best for me... Keep it up hp/palm!

i have been using this for a month..its fantastic but sometimes the os strucks..once u restart the phone it'll be ready...battery life max one day only....installing apps is much difficult for an unlocked phone..

I have been using this phone for 1 month. I read a lot good and bad about this phone but finally took a call to buy it. Its a very good phone and webos is great. I would like to share my review for the phone. Pros. Keyboard is Great inspite of being small. Great Screen and Resolution Good Voice Clarity Great 3G Speeds atleast in India Easy to configure for Emails Touchstone Charging is Great I love the magnetic cable given very easy to remove and plug. With Bluetooth I find it amazing for music :) Cons. Camera is fixed focus and has no led flash, photos taken are not great. Speaker phone is low or atleast on my phone. Not a phone to play music while on run because of magnetic clip. I would say YES for anyone who is willing to buy this product. I referred it to a few friends and all are happy after using it.

I've known my way around WebOS for awhile. I got it replaced with a new Veer and it still sucks. Maybe worse than the last. The screen you have to fight it to get it to turn on. Going back to the always trusty BlackBerry tomorrow.

I've had this for less than 30 days and it sucks. Sometimes the symbols don't work, the battery life is terrible, and a lot of apps freeze. If I could I would return this piece of crap.

The issue was A: the shoddy hardware quality, and B: HP lying to me and telling me the device couldn't handle webOS 2.0 (even though it was released in Germany) after months of promising Flash and other new upgrades. Also the GPS NEVER worked as advertised and I could get no one at VZW or Palm (or HP) to ever acknowledge the problem that I and many were having. And guess what - webOS 2.0 apparently fixes the issue! FUHP! Bottom line, it took me awhile to get used to my Droid2 (loving the 70,000 apps vs webOS's 5000 though) but I will NEVER buy anything HP again. Why would anyone support a company that outright LIES to it's biggest fans and users? Remember that when it happens to you and they fragment webOS yet again when 3.0 comes out and magically the Veer won't be able to be upgraded.

HP product's sucks... HP Software is buggy, not polished,conflictuous (just try their drivers and Software for their printers and scanners ) and overall bad programed. Why wold i buy a smartphone from HP? Just because they released a new OS in a world overpopulated with better mobile OS (iOS, Android and even Symbian)? I think i'll pass...

Acctually HP Veer 4G don´t need to a SD card slot because it have an "USB mass storage support" and you can connect any external HD drive and have some TeraBytes. And more, HP customers will have many Gigabytes in the HP Cloud. Currently I have 100 GB in the HP Cloud Drive, but in the future this amount will increase, probably. About the 800 Mhz CPU, this is a great power to an WebOs device, but not to anothers Mobile OSes (eg. Android, iOS, WP), because WebOs is greatly optimized. And the tests showed that WebOs communication performance is boosted. This little Smartphone in the size, but it is great in performance and software resources nad have a regular hardware.

The most important thing to take from this is that it's Tri-band and compatible with Telstra's NextG network. Thank you HP for getting Palm out of their Dual-band funk. Please HP bring both the Veer and the Pre3 to Australia. My imported Pre is getting old in the tooth and want good coverage again.
