Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 - User Reviews

  • How are you? Hello sir please sir update the new version samsung galaxy tab s ms t800 think s

  • I have had my Tab S since August 2014 and so far all is going well ,I only had 1 problem with the update to Android 6 MM,where soon after the update my tab went from being charged once x day to 3 charges in 1 day I thought that the Tab was broken but after a few days the tab went back to normal ,I use it every day to read articles on the web,I would be lost without my trusty Tab S, thanks Samsung for a awesome Product

  • the wlan of mine has stopped working with wi-fi 6 router if the ax standard is on. any idea how could this problem be eliminated? intel wlan cards with old driver did the same thing, but on desktop one can update the wlan driver easily.

  • I've had this since it came out. Works absolutely brilliantly same as my Samsung Galaxy Note II. Never any problems with either of them.

  • How much you bought? Mine just 200 euro last month

  • This Galaxy Tab S is exclusively amazing. It has wide amoled screen and classy resolutions also with long lasting battery life. Love this gadget.

  • Battery power drains fast

  • Sammy lost money with the other tabs they bought out after tab S cause of low resolution screen.....so the S4 will sell if it's as good as my 10.5 tab S.... but is it worth the update... mine still like new!!

  • The new tab S4 coming out soon... wonder if it will beat my Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 which I say is still fantastic it may not be running the latest 0reo but it been great, and the battery still like new!...........If only their phone batteries would last!

  • Best tablet hands down. Sumsunv hates supporting their flagship products as it has received one update, 2 years after I purchased it and this is now almost three Android generations behind.

  • Lucky thè Tab S4 will be 10.5 inch again.

  • Still going strong after years of intensive use! Best possible tablet on the market in my opinion, if it broke today I wouldn't hesitate going out tomorrow and trying to buy another.

  • Love it going strong after four years son bought in Italy while on deployment best thing they made would live to get another when this one no longer works

  • I have been trying to find out if I can attach a usb sin card reader to my Galaxy tab s 10.5 which does not have a sim socket. If I do manage to attach a sim card reader to a usb port will the phone work???

  • Still have my 10.5 s along side my far more expensive s3 tablet! For media 16.9 ratio is better

  • I have this samsung and galaxy note 2. All my friends want to buy Samsung because of the track record of these two impeccable Samsungs. These two Samsungs have sold more Samsungs tha some of their best retailers!

  • Nearly 4 years and my Tab S is still going strong, I wish Samsung would bring another 10.5 Tab,instead of the different layout, I still use my Tab every day, I have a Tab S2VE but always reach for my Tab S, awesome tablet

  • The best sizes Android tablet, but sill no replacement, the tablet is now very slow & only 16gb was released in UK. Hopefully Samsung will release another 10.5" or 11" this year???

  • Still going stronger after 3 years, however the device is getting laggy lately.

  • 4 years almost with the Best Galaxy Tab S 10.5!!

  • Lol

  • I am going into my 4th yr with my Tab S 10.5....SM-T800 WIFI device and I still love it. My laptop been collecting dust since. I am a retired guy and use it for email, web surfing, etc...not a gamer. The display quality is as good as day I bought it....nothing like Super Amoled. If I could have one more GB of ram it would be even better than it already is. Even today, anyone that buys this will be very, very pleased. Using Marshmallow 6.0.1. Heard rumors about getting nougat, just not sure....yet its ok if do not. A big satisfied user and a big fan of this tablet. Never had any issues at all with it.

  • I hear you brotherman. I have my AT M50 with mine. That super AMOLED is eye candy to go with the AT ear candy!

  • Still the best tabs at the market with thins and shape body stylist with call available. Performance the best for download movies, business online and take pics.

  • Samsung truly went full out with the display. It's Retina 4K competitive, and I think it's one of the best reasons to own it. Media on this tablet always looks incredible. With a decent set of headphones (my Audio-technicas do nicely) it's a wonderful travel companion, whether flight or field.

  • The tab S has a better display than tab s 3 funny enough.

  • Fantastic tablet that I still use to this day. The S3 overshadows it now, but for quite a bit more $$$ too. For the price you'll find it now, it might still be a top 10 contender. Personally, I feel no desire to upgrade anytime soon, though I use it constantly. The expansion that is possible with Android vs Apple is staggering, as is the screen this device is packing. It's camera is one area it truly shows it's age, but it's serviceable for most applications. The microphone is solid and crosstalk is improved greatly on even the Pro models. It's light and the speakers aren't the worst, offering competent midrange sound with clear highs and decent, if tinny lows. The touchscreen is responsive and mostly accurate (about 94% in my experience) and both Samsung and Logitech offer smart, affordable keyboards, turning this rather beastly tab into a viable laptop replacement. And though other reviewers have criticized the pebbled plastic backing, I find it to be distinct, particularly with one of Samsung's 3 in 1 covers attached. For price, expandability, features, responsiveness, and (aside from the camera) specs, this is still my go to tablet and one well worth the now reduced asking price.

  • i am very lucky beacouse i have samsung galaxy tab s 10.5

  • I need a Samsung Galaxy Tab S, how much and where can i get it?

  • Try a factory reset

  • great machine, my dog chewed off one of the corners and cracked the screen and the Tab still works fine.

  • Good tablet but broke with a flashing screen after 8 months - Samsung repair centre took 3 attempts to fix and all happy until few months later when happened again - another 3 repairs later and they still couldn't fix. Hopeless useless - finally got a replacement from my shop (John Lewis) a tab s2 smaller screen but works fine. Lucky I bought from a shop with good customer service and didn't rely on Samsung!!!

  • Great tablet of me. LOVE the screencolors and clarity, super thin, and performance is good. Recently Marshmallow 6.0.1 was pushed to my tablet and works great, after of course shutting off all the bloaty "updates" that restart all the stuff I don't need. I have the WiFi only version. It has replaced my personal laptop at the house iwth a Logitech keyboard/case. Also use the tablet as a GPS in the car with downloadable Google maps and tethered to my Note 5. I love this tablet enought that I'm considering picking up an LTE model off of ebay for use with Google Fi.

  • I bought the tablet Jun/15 in Switzerland, but I use it in Brazil. Normally at home, but travelling once a week about 90 Km to my country lodge with a 14 Km unpaved and rough road access. I use it daily about 3 hs mostly for reading books and accessing online news. Not any complaints about display, storage or battery and quality overall. Only wish is some less bloatware on it, it took time to get rid of them. And the ability to replace the battery, when someday it comes close to the end. This I really don't praise. I updated to 6.0.1 in Nov/16 without any problems. So I am fully satisfied, think it was a great buy and would buy it again... if it would come with a replaceable battery - or for the same price with more developed capabilities then the actual successors.

  • I have owned SM-T800 for about 26 months and enjoyed it until WIFI and Bluetooth started working intermittently. Coincidentally problems started right after Marshmallow update. If you are considering buying ANY Samsung tablet, google "wifi and bluetooth problems Samsung". Thousands of owners like myself have an ebook reader, not useable as a tablet. Dont buy, POS.

  • I have this problem to, i dont know what to do,i 10 minutes my tab restarting minimum 2 times..

  • Thé tablette came too hot,it for that everithing close, clean thé memory , befor the update never problem ....

  • I have a Kitkat Samsung Galaxy S Tab 10.5 Its phone memory is showing as 498 GB. When connected to a computer it shows only 4.5 GB . Why this mismatch. This results in memory shortage when we copy files from external source beyond 4.5 GB. Clarify how we can access full memory of 498 GB

  • I have a problem, my tab make restart every moment. When I'm playing a video or something else. Is this a software problem or hardware? Thanks

  • i got the same problem, do you get any resolutions

  • how can u resolve the problem. I had tha same problem

  • applied the software update and tab is stuck on pulsating Samsung logo. tried various forums and samsung support (no help) so went for factory wipe and reset. No change. on the recovery menu on line starts w/ 6.0.1 so i assume the marshmallow up date is not being removed by the wipe/reset. anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this?

  • Happy to see the Marshmallow update for almost 2 year old Tablet..Samsung did not disappoint me.Not much of changes but battery seems to have improved considerably.Got an OTA last week..Still waiting for Androiud 6.0 update for my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition coz even that Tab has the same Hardware.

  • amazing product video quality 👍 camera is also good battery backup is not good because of 10.5 inch super amoled screen

  • I'm happy with my Tab S 10.5, it's been two years and still I use it every day, I hope it will get Marshmallow, but even without the update it's still a great tablet, my S5 just got the Marshmallow update, so if my tab gets the update I would be happy with it

  • Hello! Anyone knows when will upgrade to android 6? And if you do in Greece...

  • After every update for any product even Apple you need to wipe the cache. It a conflict with the old and new.

  • same issue Owned about 14 months ,hardly used and both wifi and bluetooth died, total hardware failure. Of course just out of warranty so Samsungs response, bad luck. Buy a new one! It hadnt even been used in over 4 months as I was overseas and it was in drawer at home. turned off and still had small charge so no issues there. Been happy with Samsung purchases earlier but not now.

  • I had similar problem, I took it to there office and the almost changed everything ba3, motherboard and charging port it worked better and faster tho m back to square 1 the tab suddenly refuse to come on or indicate if it's charging.

  • We had this tablet for about 2 years. I was heavily used by my daughter and it always done its job. Never goes slow and very good built and stability. It is a very powerful tablet and is very easy for using Streaming as YouTube or Kodi. Highly recommended !

  • The best tablet I had, it can sometimes be a little slow but really better than the tab 3. Hope to get marshmallow soon and fix everything. But really nothing to complain, great battery life and general performance.

  • I have had this model but always traveled downtown by foot. Then I sold it and bought repaired VW Golf 2 - amazing! It has radio, USB memostick, big loudspeakers 200W, no 3G but gearbox with four shift, 5 places, one wheel, Xeno lights... amazing and invaluable.

  • Update to marshmallow

  • The best unit I have ever had and I I have had at least a hundred.

  • best tablet that money can buy

  • T-800 (Samsung Tablet S My worst investment in electronic...

  • I know, the charging cable is loose. Make it slightly disaligned at the charger point. After sometimw, you might want to use some other cable. I use my phone's charging cable with the Tab charger.

  • No

  • pls does it have stylus pen with it

  • 3 ampere charger

  • i have complain about the battery. its taking 9-10 hours to get fully charged. Can any one say what cojl be problem?

  • I've had mine for about a year and a half, and still love using it. Battery life is still amazing and stands to get even better if the rumors are true of Android 6.0 being released for this device sometime this month. I bought a Logitech Type-S keyboard case to go along with this tablet and rarely use a laptop now. Great tablet!

  • I aint got no complaints with my tab, is ok.

  • I had the same problem and had a warranty repair done. Do the same if yours is still under warranty. In my case I suspected that it was the charging mechanism that's at fault after less than 1 year of use.

  • Hopefully someone can help me out. It says "Non-removable Li-Ion 7900 mAh battery" Does this mean I can't get a replacement battery for it? My son's battery doesn't appear to hold a charge anymore and wanted to replace the battery but I am having a hard time finding one. Thanks.

  • what did you do about it?

  • The screen is superb and I almost watch all Netflix movies on this tablet. The biggest problem is lagging. The CPU is not good enough. If you are going to use it mainly for watching movies, reading PDFs, it is a very good choice.

  • this is the real deal until it break jaw ass with its dumb wifi and bluetooth bullshit. about a year and 2 months, the wifi and bluetooth decided it aint working no more. if you google this shit up, its a common issue that many are facing as well. im pretty sure its a manufacture default but samsung has said shit about this. its not a software problem..its a hardware thing. the next time i get another tab, its goinna be ipad. ps: wifi drops signals like it aint got no wifi in the first place.

  • I have one. Don't bother. Buy an iPad. That's what I'm doing. It's just a brick courtesy of Samsung's poor product update support.

  • It screen mirrored to my Samsung smart tv until the tv updated a few times and now it can't. Both tablet and tv are the same age. Very poor product support by Samsung. I'm now buying an Apple TV for this junk to be able to do what it should do. It's now made the smart tv features redundant.

  • what games do you play sir?

  • I own this tab for 5 months its awesome guys,. I love it game r very flow.. im playingg 3 gb and 4 gb games.. no lack in ot guys

  • Not a good looking tablet when compared to Tab S2 !

  • How to hotspot?

  • tablet is now fixed and good as new, or even better, I'm very satisified with Mr. Samsung's service department.

  • The only voice plan works with T-mobile is Samsung watches that your Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 gets from you Samsung phone that will show it on your tablet too, like AT&T the way u verse works for TV to tv, but you can ask T-mobile to make sure I'm right.

  • It seams the US versions did not have SIM/GSM capabilities, just picked up the new one with 4G LTE and still have to use 3rd party apps for making calls over data. T-Mobile does not have voice plans for tablets.

  • There is a version of this tablet that LTE. LIke mine, I can put micro sim card on it.

  • Will this Tab ever get Marshmallow, I really hope so,it is a great tablet

  • T805 model is 3G + Wi-FI

  • How is it possible that it doesn't have Sim card !!!!

  • my tab fell and is broken, but otherwise is ok

  • I enjoy mine. It is very east to use. I am happy I purchased it, and would recommend it to others.

  • Hi everyone! Someone can recommend me this tablet? I would like buy one soon but I want to know if this table is good. I want to heard your experience with this tablet, please. Thank you so much! Regards

  • Hi everyone! Someone can recommend me this tablet? I would like buy one soon but I want to know if this table is good. I want to heard your experience with this tablet, please. Thank you so much! Regards

  • Because the high end mobiles have BIG profit margins and also sell the low end ones

  • The best tablet on the market..1 hour of use moderate on internet use 5% of the batery really the best, the games works very fluid

  • really you have one only

  • I agree with Liss. The battery capacity compared to the Tab three is much much better. With use with games such as Boom Beach, I got an hour with the Tab three. This I can get a whole day out of it. Two days with normal browsing use.

  • MX Player.

  • I have one and is very ok, I recommend this for you.

  • MX Player or VLC media player

  • After days of use, confirm the wider screen aspect ratio is better than 9.7" in 4:3. Holding in hand with the bundle cover, its eye appealing. Many luxury hand hags are with this ratio. To play with musicnotes and mobile sheet, the extra space have some control buttons and information. The actual viewing area not smaller than the 9.7. I hope the tab s pro have same aspect ration with little bit larger screen and a s pen and a usb c port.

  • Its best tablet. The size and aspect is perfect for modern reading experience. For reading kindle book in portrait orientation, the with near to iPad air. For typing document, the keyboard occupied lower part of screen left the document near to the 4:3 gold ratio. Unlike iPad typing iPage, the keyboard float to middle of screen or left the document near to square. For reading youtube and TED, its for better than iPad. 4:3 best for reading is for smaller device and reading fixed format pdf book. In conclusion, this tab s has best viewing movie and typing experience while have same text reading experience.

  • wow! amazing!! samsung....i go for it...

  • Because the battery is 7900mAh takes hell lot of time to charge, Sumsung should provide fast charging adapters and Batteries with this. Price should be cheaper compared to features.

  • Its performance is better than kit kat version

  • Not much of a change. I think it worth doing.

  • Much btter

  • Has anyone downloaded lollipop on this tab, hows the performance? Please share your experience.

  • Actually you cannot do that.. Not sure why even try.. thing is You will face the same result with mirror photocopy.. It is because of the reflective surface.

  • It's really good for media

  • I have problems printing fron the Tablet, when I place the the Tab on the photocopier the screen turns off and I only get a black copy. Is there anything that can be done?

  • the gpu is not powerful enough to handle 2560x1600 resolutions. i'll wait for 2015 version.

  • the tab s is without a doubt hands down the best tablet on the market absolutely the best tablet in the world. I don't know what the big issue is when people ask what the differences between the iPad air - and the Samsung Galaxy Tab s 10.5 if you want the highest resolution in the world then the tab is this for you. If you look at the CPU speed it is higher on the iPad air however, not by much and honestly the AMOLED high resolution display is unbelievable and forgive me but the proprietary issues with Apple products is such a big turn off I mean you can get great games and amazing apps for Android devices but personally I use the tablet for business and at the end of the day I use it to watch movies when I travel I use it to stream movies the battery life is superior to that of the iPad air too I mean bottom line is that a bus all the way around always wins even the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 vs the iPhone 6 is way superior firmware wise software wise etcetera...Samsung devices flatout knock anything Apple out of the ballpark and that's just my opinion sorry Mac users but Samsung still beats out anything Mac year after year after year after year and I am a professional recording engineer and all of my DAW programs run perfectly fine on PC and my high resolution Samsung monitors just are the creme de la creme Samsung is literally hands down the best product on the market place anything Samsung let me repeat anything Samsung thank you for your time with regards to reading this and I apologize for the two minutes you'll never get back having read this but I hope it was informative because if you stuck with it to the very end you will realize that Samsung truly is the far more superior and far more reliable firmware than that of any worm holed Apple. a Samsung a day keeps the doctor away

  • which media player is suitable for Tab S?

  • whls it doesn't support sim, radio etc is not totally good.

  • Hello everyone I'm planned to buy a tab but I don't now which one This one look good but there is also a tab note (p600) The price are the same here... I'm not so good in compare those things Can anyone explain please I will be greatfull Thank you

  • In my opinion, and owning one, this is the best android tablet you can get on the market. In terms of features and hardware, you can probably get no better. However, as Samsung makes the hardware and Google makes the OS, there are some headaches of glitches with each one of these. Applications freezing and crashing and spontaneous system reboots may frustrate you if you depend on this tablet. Somehow, each android update initially comes with some major bugs that may get squashed in the future.

  • I am planning to buy this tab please suggest me how is this tab is this the good one ...?

  • Download it from web.whatsapp.com

  • No need to download whatsapp using mobigine you can download on your tab from web.whatsapp.com

  • I bought samsung 10.5 few days ago.. everything is almost perfect except for the sound quality.. I got used to my note 3 and ipod sound quality then in Tab S its like lifeless sound.. its like a cheap sound device attached to an expensive device.. if not about the sound.. its a perfect device.. if only i can remove my note 3 speakers and put it in tab-S.. im the happiest user in the planet..haha

  • How is the lollipop on Tab s 10.5 going on? Is everything alright?

  • Just got a notice on this tab has an update on is to 5.0 , here Philippines

  • If you want download what's app goto download mobogenie the first and download what's app from there and enjoy

  • I've got a Truglide Pro and it works really well with the 10.5, I got it in a pack with the paint brush tip, which also works well.

  • Does anyone has problem to download whatsapp? It's telling me, it's not compatible with your device.

  • Is this tablet has a screen protector? such as Gorilla Glass or???

  • I used to be able to switch users withOut unlocking my samsung tab s, but now i can't. Now it does not gi e me option to select user. Does anybody know how to change the home screen to show the users, select and unlock?

  • I used to be able to switch users withOut unlocking my samsung tab s, but now i can't. Now it does not gi e me option to select user. Does anybody know how to change the home screen to show the users, select and unlock?

  • today softwate updated to lollipop 5.0.2

  • Have had this tablet for nearly a year now. And really like it. Was going to buy ipad but the tab s won me over because 1.it has flash for pics 2.you can add an sd card to expand memory up to 128GB! Whereas you would have to pay LOADS to buy a 128gb ipad

  • Get the iPad, you hardly notice the display and if you play games like me you're better off with an iPad. However if you prefer android Os's get the nexus 9 it's practically the same but don't get the tab s it lags a bit

  • 4G lte is unusable my sony and htc same category of lte connecting perfectly while my 10.5 stays 3g

  • I have had this for several months. This thing is slow and laggy. It has a noticeable delay when you are using it for web surfing, etc. I bought it to watch movies on the plane for my overseas travels. The picture quality is amazing and I always have my brightness turned on to the maximum and the battery is still great.

  • Download Swift key . Its free and it has the best keyboard layout. You can resize it, put theme on it and add a CURSOR!!!

  • Very good tablet for daily life it has world class facilities , and very efficient and quick.fantastic tablet

  • I just pick up this tablet and I try to get to keyboard type to change to split or drag around the keyboard the button next to the space bar for keyboard option .It did not show that option icon on the keyboard setting. Can someone help try to get the Samsung support they could not help me to get it to work.I even try to exchange for another tablet and still didn't work.

  • Great device. Comendable touch, lighting fast and really value for money. The huge 10.5 screen makes it really out of the mob. Proud to carry such a product. Only drawback I found was in the rear camera. There isnt selective focus. Rest all is fantantically fantastic 😉

  • Does it have gorilla glass???? And if it has which type???? 2?? 3?? 4?? Thanks in advance :)

  • this device is excellent, i took yesterday the Bluetooth keyboard. I expected to see the device being charded during the keyb charging. There are a lot of wireless charge devices why not this one. They could also made pin connectors to recharge the device whey the keyboard is charging in open and closed way. actually i need to have two charging cables, one for the device and one for the keyboard. IT'S STUPID by a serious brand like SAMSUNG.

  • However it did not come with a stylus, should it have a stylus, there is a slot on the tablet that not the only one who wants a fine tip stylus for my Galaxy Tab S 10.5 ! Please , someone post here if you have found one that works. I dont understand why this Tablet didn't ship with a good Stylus ! not the only one who wants a fine tip stylus for my Galaxy Tab S 10.5 ! • how's the battery life sir in every usage?

  • I had got this tablet.....and found out that speakers volume are very low when seeing youtube videos.....but in headphones, it was good.....how to increase the volume through app.....

  • its responsive, ultra fast and the screen is magic. i recommend it to all

  • Does the free Puffin Browser flash player work forever?

  • I kinda doubt you were first, NMT450 was a real cellphone system and was put into service in Nordic countries in 1981. By your time, 1985, NMT was already so big in Nordic that it was the worlds biggest cellphone network, in fact it was so big that only the Norwegian part of it all by itself was quite likely to be the worlds biggest national cellphone network at the time (in the mid 80ies Norway had more mobile users than the other Nordic countries combined). NMT 450 replaced the various existing manual mobile phone systems in these countries and was so good that it has just recently been discontinued in Iceland. NMT spread from Nordic to many countries around the world so it is not unlikely that your first phone used NMT450 or NMT900.

  • Air 2 of course, performance wise Tab S is more a competitor to the discontinued iPad 2, just that the iPad 2 is faster in games. Go to the store and test it, its amazing how Tab S drops frames in simple games that can run smoothly on 2011 single core Android devices, Tab S performance is purely benchmark performance. The disadvantage with iPad performance is that the UI ticks along in its own pace no matter what hardware you have and unless you have downs syndrome you will find that pace annoyingly slow, takes some serious getting used to, for example in the time it takes the keyboard to slide up from the bottom of the display you have time to type 2-3 characters before it becomes responsive and then you have to start all over again since your sentence starts on character number 3 to 4. Unfortunately this is by design and Apple refuse to include options to shorten animation/transition times.

  • :-) wow, my first mobile phone was in 1985 we called it a logabil it was the first mobile phone in this country i think we were the first in the world. america were using car radio phones at the time. jose

  • I may come across as sounding biased, but my use of a mobile phone commenced in 1993, before a lot of the current generation of users were even born (but not all! ;-) ). I made a lot of comparisons and hands-on tests and in the end it came down to either an Apple iPad or the Galaxy Tab S 10.5. I liked the 'squeaky-clean' appearance of the Apple, consistent over the many years of professional use, but the Samsung was unexpectedly easier and, shamelessly -- a lot more fun to use and just play with: it is a very engaging device and highly customisable (so too, is Apple, but not the same degree). I've teamed up the Galaxy Tab S with a Logitech Type-S bluetooth keyboard and the combo is certainly a head turner: close the cover and nobody knows there is a full-size QWERTY keyboard there on which I am writing my book using OfficeSuite Pro. Some suggestions for prospective users: get your hands on one that is in full operating mode (no demo!!) and run your hands all over it. The AMOLED display is superb and cleans very easily (overlays are available if you get annoyed by finger prints and smudges). The SD card slot will take a micro SD up to 128Gb and this is enormously useful if you have a digital camera that can link up by wifi to the Galaxy and transmit its pictures for storage. Go for it!

  • It is a phone you can text and call i have the cellular one and i can do all of these

  • NO, this is not phone

  • Im stuck on whether getting the ipad air 2 or galaxy tab s 10.5. I love the amoled screen on tab s but I love how smooth and ability to get the latest and good quality game and tablet optimized apps on the ipad. Can any one help me?

  • I don't think there is a feature or provision for SIM card insertion into Tablet s yet?

  • Yes, you can insert a sim card on it. This is also a phone.

  • we can insert sim in this tab ....?

  • This is the latest tablet, it is good but I don't understand the homescreen/pulldown notification/enter a screen (settings) LAG! theres always a lag, maybe its Samsung launchers themselves, I have a LG G2 and with my Lollipop ROM (rooted) my phone is literally smooth as a babys bottom = no lag! c'mon Samsung you can do better!!

  • i just want to correct that ONLY the LTE version has Wifi Hotspot capability..

  • That is Obviously not the tab S its probably tab 2 or tab pro or note 10 or sumfin...Tab S is the best one...

  • Google removed flash from android. some browsers(Dolphin) can add flash back, but its not Samsung's decision to remove it.

  • I really love it had it a month now is good with performance and gaming and even work the only drawback is touch wiz I love the features but touch wiz is clunky but funny worry Nova launcher prime will solve that sooooo is amazing FYI battery life is good as well

  • Nonsense.

  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5" has no adobe flash player. How can they slide this under the radar? It's a disgrace. Most of videos I watch are AFP. BF

  • For those who are interested in using their Tab S as a notebook for school / work, I just bought this Capacitive Stylus from Cosmonaut along with this free app called Fiinote. I must say, it works very well although I still haven't figured out the palm rejection thing (e.g. being able to rest your hand on the surface while writing). But with the build of the Cosmonaut Stylus, you don't really need the palm rejection (for me) since I write with it in a way you do with white board markers. This is because of its wide width which I find very comforting. Anyway, if someone does find a better stylus and app for note-taking, hit me up!

  • Got mine about a month ago. All I can say is that it's really amazing! When my Apple fan friends saw it they said it's really gorgeous and made them think about getting one instead of the ipad air. So far mine's really fast. Haven't experienced much lag. Although one minor problem that I've encountered is when I'm in a call, it automatically sets it to speaker mode. I don't think it has any handset mode since there isn't any earpiece beside the camera. Anyway I don't really use it for calls and texts that much. Just purely data surfing, school works, and entertainment purposes. Overall, this piece of art is totally worth the money!

  • I got mine a week ago. I'm loving it. It's super fast and runs really smoothly. For anyone asking about gaming, I have 5 games on it. One of them is Real Racing 3 which requires a device with big performance. This tablet runs it without any straggling, runs it really smoothly and I cannot see any lags or any problems. Another game is SimCity which isn't a fast action game but it has a massive map with really good graphics and it's 3D. It also runs Modern Combat 5 without any problems. The multi window isn't problem for it either, whit any combination of the applications. It can also run smoothly any application with Skype video call in the background. It's screen is the best I've ever seen. The battery is really good too I don't need to charge it for 24 hours with a little gaming, Skype, YouTube and internet browsing. I can totally recommend it to anyone who's after a good tablet.

  • Where and how can I get a dialler app that is compatible with galaxy tab s 10.5?

  • Amazing, saw one in the store today, a boy was playing a simple car racing game on it, and it lagged like F ahahah. iPad 2 crushes this one so badly performance wise, outclassing is the word. Let me guess, this one cannot play Flappy Bird smoothly? Worse still is that it cost more than Air 2 LOL but still cannot beat even the antiquated iPad 2 in game performance, thats mindblowing.

  • Read the reviews on the Puffin Browser!

  • Yes, you can use Abobe Flash Player. Just download Puffin Browser from the Google Play Store. I'm currently using it on Android Kit-Kat 4.4. It has flash built in.

  • Do it have gamin please tell me yes eny body

  • can u install adobe flash player in this thing?

  • I have just bought mine and love it. However it did not come with a stylus, should it have a stylus, there is a slot on the tablet that looks like the place for one.

  • i have ordered mine, i cant wait

  • Got mine over the weekend, have my sim card in and it works on WCDMA, HSDPA and LTE, it's not just a "WiFi only" device I'm from South Africa using Vodacom, this tab is stunning, superfast!

  • I didn't get watch on app pre installed in it....when I go to play store n try to install watch on it says 'your device is not compatible with this version'.....thts a big problem for me bcz i cant use ir blaster without watch on app......anybody having the same problem? Help me if anybody has answer?

  • The samsung galaxy tab s 10.5,is it also voice enabled?

  • Got my Samsung tablet S 10.5 it is beautiful. I've owned a few tabs. This is by far the best tab out. As far as being thin. It's not hard to hold. Smart people would get a cover anyway. So you don't have to hold it.. Samsung makes several. I'm on it now and not touching it. Do some research before you say bad things about. 😂

  • Due to the way the capacitive display works, there really isn't a fine tip stylus you can use. Try one of these, closest they get to the "real" (read: pencil, pen) thing:

  • Im beginning to see Im not the only one who wants a fine tip stylus for my Galaxy Tab S 10.5 ! Please , someone post here if you have found one that works. I dont understand why this Tablet didn't ship with a good Stylus ! JRW

  • Then you should buy the Z2 Tablet. I love my Samsung ! Yes , its thin and I have a pretty blue cover that also serves as a stand. This is a very nice Tablet by any standard ! I have a 60in Samsung 3D HDTV , a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Smartphone and now this Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 . Im pretty sure they all interact with each other. I love my Samsungs ! JRW

  • Bought my Galaxy Tab S 10.5 last Saturday, got to say it's brilliant. Display is the best I have seen on any device. It's lightening fast and extremely slim and lightweight. Got to be THE best tablet on the market right now. Bit pricey at £400 for any tablet but this should come down after it's been out longer.

  • Love my Galaxy Tab S . Bought the 10.5 in version and think it's fantastic - glad I didn't get the ipad! Been looking for a fine tip stylus so I can write notes (particularly maths equations for teaching). Anyone know of a fine tip stylus that works well. The stylus I have has the usual rounded 'fat' tip which isn't fine enough. Thanks

  • Of course it doesn't support flash. Flash discontinued its mobile support.

  • Adobe flash player not supporting

  • Adobe flash player not supporting

  • You can press the recent apps button until it functions as an options button. Try it.

  • If u can not hold a tab comfortably how will u appreciate the better display. Such thin bezel allow u to struggle to hold, also doesnt look good.Z2 tab is better.superb bezels. Display is also good

  • The Tab S is newer and the screen has a higher resolution. Especially nice if you watch a lot of movies and or photos. And the tablet is thinner and lighter. Which is nice if you like to read ebooks. It doesn't strain the life out of your wrist. With the older models you have to carry more weight.

  • Did you look if your wiFi signal is strong enough? Did you connected to the available WiFi spot? Even if I connect to my home WiFi Router it keeps searching for other WiFi spots. You can see how strong the signal is. Depending on where I am in the house I have perfect or reasonable connection.

  • Hi am having issues for sending files via WIFI direct the device doesnt seem to appearing in the list of devices just keeps on saying scanning devices however comes up later with no devices found any help?

  • Hey guys, I don't know what to choose "Samsung Tab S 10.5 - 16gb" Or " Samsung Tab Pro 12.2 64gb" they're the same price in mu country. Both are 4g. I don't know why the tab pro 12.2 got this discount. I'm confused what to choose, the extra 48 giga and more screen estate over the super amoled screen (i don't care about the fingerprint). What do you guys think, any recommendations? Thanks.

  • That's a very good question! I have the tab s and I don't regret it. It's up to your personal preferences and requirements really.

  • Does this unit support powerpoint presentation? If so, does powerpoint support animation?

  • I have had one of these beauties for about 3 days and I have to say, its a fantastic, beautiful tablet. So fast that I can honestly say I haven't seen so much as a single hesitation or stutter in any software. High end games run like a champ, bluetoothgamepad works. Get a bluetooth keyboard, not because the screen one isn't excellent. It really is excellent; get a keyboard because this is a laptop replacer. I find I can use productivity Apps very seriously. This hasn't replaced my Nexus 7 either, as I find the smaller tablet great for reading--think holding a paperback versus a magazine. That's really the thing about it, the bigger screen is great for magazines and especially for movies. I actually mutter 'wow' a few times, the screen is superb, I looked at the pro I am unconvinced it is 'better,' although it was a little different, it was about color and not clarity. I can not percieve a clarity gap with the naked eye. The speaker is clean and the sound excellent if not impressive, until you hook it up to some speakers. Weather it is bluetooth or by a wire, the sound quality and clarity is fantastic, and enough to make me forgive the weak internal speakers. This is a high quality tablet, despite the 'steep-ish' price, I haven't been this pleasantly surprised since the Nexus 7 (2013). I haven't experienced so much as a moment of buyer's regret. Now let's talk about that screen, high res, high density and better color accuracy than any other AMOLED Sammy has sold us before. Amoled has been something of a love it...but...kind of thing going all the way back to the first Galaxy S phones. Too much blue in one generation, not bright enough in another, too yellow...AMOLED has been called it all. Admit it you didn't care much, the high definition and deep rich blacks made/make it a very popular technology and Sammy has been continually improving the engineering involved. Frankly the effort shows, in a positive way. I do wish for some sort of fine point stylus, if not an S pen...but you know what? I think I will get over it, this tablet is impossible to dislike, and you can not say that about all large tablets simply because they are big. Half of the garbage on the market is not worth mention, there are more competitive choices in the small tablet area, if you want a big 'toy' Sammy has a less expensive 10" choice, and there are a few other decent choices as well. If you want a serious mobile computing tablet for work AND play, the choices become fewer and three of them are in this article. For me that is 50% of the valid choices and the only others come from ASUS. If Sony and LG step up their game a bit they will be in the running, but right now its these 3. So if you are on the fence, get one...and go ahead and get a bluetooth keyboard and a BIG sdhc/xdsd, so will want to load up all the music and movies.

  • is it worth to pay 30 euro more for this tablet instead for tab pro 10.1

  • All sides of call must stand on head

  • Is there anyone who experienced scratch issues on their tab S? Is this made of gorilla glass 3 or not?

  • Love the style and colour, Graphic lags a bit when asked to work hard but the graphics are the best which compensates. My biggest gripe! Why oh why Samsung have you replaced the menu button with a recent apps button? If any of the reviews that I have read (and I've read many) mentioned that little fact then I would not have purchased a Tab S. Lack of many popular video codecs is a silly ommision

  • I own 1 and it amazing ,display is better than ipad air but performance the ipad is better, ipad air battery also better than tab s

  • hey its a tablet its not for calling and u saying i dont need a tablet for calling read specifications.....

  • I dont need a tablet for calling. Anyways... thx for ur advice :)

  • its like an equalizer with already set modes like Country, Rap, Blues.... Better use earphones.

  • What is "Dolby sound enhancement" and what are the bennefits of it?

  • What about "Dolby mobile sound enhancement" like on note 10.1 (2014)

  • if u wan, buy a LTE version or buy sumsung galaxy note 10.1, 2014 version bec i using that, all good, i normal use about 2 days.if whole days use such as wifi, camera, hotspot, game about 12 hours ++

  • better buy a table that can insert sim card, so that u can call or 3g/LTE.

  • Im just wanna gt a tablet with long battery and good performance only

  • The ipad 2 battery doesn't make from apple but battery made from Sanyo. Display made from LG ips lcd and camera made from Sony. What else apple can do? Nothing

  • Hi, i nvr own a tablet b4 and i plan to buy it. So i hv a few questions for the owner of this tablet: 1) how is the battery life of this tablet?(coz 7900mAh isnt big if compared to the 8820mAh of the ipad) 2) does this device support the connection to USB devices via OTG cable?(since there is no mention of usb host in the specification) 3) how is the performance? Does it have any lag?(coz i saw some review tht it suffer from a bit sluggishness during heavy multitasking) 4) does this tablet support any stylus(any stylus, but i know this tablet definitely didnt support s pen)? If it does, is there any recommendation of stylus for this tablet? Hope tht the owner can reply my Q with no biased. Thx.. :)

  • I have been an Apple user for years. You can even call me an Apple loyalist. I visited MNV Collections recently to buy an iPad Air and they convinced me to go for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S instead. It was cheaper and they promised that I would like it. And I must agree they knew what they were talking about. It is very lightweight and the screen resolution is awesome. I use tablets a lot while travelling, and watching a movie on this device is sheer pleasure. I strongly recommend this tablet to all.

  • This tablet is trillion times better than piece of garbage ipad because it has better display and fastest processor, camera. When You touch back of ipad, people can get million of RASH on their whole body.

  • Yah I have this tab its Nice but One annyoing thing is that you cannot make Calls I am a Galaxy Note 3 User But I think that the Better Choice Will be Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 It is Super in specs and in design also Samsung is doing a great job but still there are many Annoying Issues and I hope that Samsung Will fix that

  • bought 1 today absolutely amazing im an iphone5 user and had to get this instead of ipad air best decision ever

  • I got one and is very pleased. I donot playgames so can not say anything about performance, but there is one question below I can answer, usb otg is supported, I use an usb otg adapter for my cameras sd card, by the way a brilliant way to sort through my photos (I use f-stop gallery for this)

  • When using wechat video call. The image is up side down can any one help me to solve this problem.

  • My guess is because aluminium scratches and dents easier..... the tablet will still look good for longer..

  • over priced. rest is good. why Samsung love to plastic and not starting using aluminum?

  • very attractive

  • Got a 5 minute hands on in a store today. 1. Nicest looking and best built tablet Samsung have ever made. 2. Screen is to die for. 3. USB charging port is finally on the right, not the bottom, so you can charge the think whilst it is propped up in a dock or protective case/stand. 4. Now the bad news, (and we have a Note 10.1 2014 to compare it too), it's sluggish. When browsing photos in the official gallery app, there was obvious slowdown in the horizontal scrolling - unlike our Note 10.1 2014 or any iPad. Further, launching apps is slow. Samsung MUST ditch TouchWhiz and put in a decent GPU to credit the superb display and snazzy construction. And please put that screen in the next Note 10.1 and move the USB port to the side too!

  • I've had a Samsung tab 10.1 first gen. for ~3 yrs. Still works flawlessly. I bought a Chinese HD quad core to upgrade a few months back. Ha! Never again. Cannot hold a candle to Samsung. My new tab S will arrive in 6 more days. I will flash & root the old one, bring it up from 4.0.4 OS to 4.4, as Samsung will not update it any longer. I hope this is not something Samsung does with all their tablets...that is not updating after a period of time.

  • As much as I love Android tablets it lacks in the app department. Quote from GSMA "Android still lags behind iOS in terms of tablet-optimized apps", which is sadly true. I think the developers are to blame not Google, because they are lazy IMO. Before the excuse was that there was only a small number of Android tablets sold compared to iPad, but surely that has changed over the years. Yeah iPad is still very popular, but many people has embraced Android tablets as well, but developers just don't care.

  • and it´s not an ugly tablet it´s a beautiful tablet

  • i am in Denmark and in this country this tablet has an octa core prossesor

  • no, that is a beautiful design

  • Looks good, but they could of thrown in a better gpu. Hopefully the ipad will have split screen option soon!

  • Where are the battery life tests?

  • again ugly design recurrent enough to put aside samsung

  • Makes ipad air, look a bit poor. Nice Tab well done Samsung

  • Better than iPad

  • Awesome tab!

  • Waw... thats really amazing tab !!best of the best ever
