HTC Desire 530 - User Reviews

  • my phone needs to configure the wireless can you help me

  • I purchased my HTC Desire530 at Metro PCS appx 2.5 years ago for $80 ( What a great deal ). It has been a great phone! Never dropped a call. Very reliable. It takes ok indoor pictures but really good outdoor pics. I only have a couple games like 8 ball pool and Archery King on the phone. Never had a problem with any apps or the battery. I really like their wallpaper/scheme, icon HTC site. I would buy another HTC phone, just which one? Looking at the Ultra U as a possibility.

  • My phone is no more functioning. ..... I bought it last year but now it's giving me lots of problem Can't go setting , make a call and even see my videos....... What might be wrong. ........

  • who says he does not accept sd if I have a 16 gb inserted, maybe yours is damaged slot.

  • it's a very nice phone... easy to operate though the battery doesn't last long

  • After buying a Sami and finding out it was able to burst into flames, I traded for a HTC Desire. For a straight across swap from Metro.. At first it was a decent phone. Then the battery wouldn't hold a charge. The screen was so dim you couldn't see in daylight. The speaker volume is barely audit able. You can only listen through earphones. Then the wifi wouldn't pick up a signal.. While everyone around me was able to get wifi, this piece of crap went data only pick up.. Uhhhh, so now I have a picture phone, that at best is a DATA only phone.. Never again HTC!!!!

  • Yes. The phone comes with Marshmallow installed. All android versions since Lollipop support using an external SD as supplemental internal storage for apps and whatnot.

  • It's an ok phone. I've had it for about 18 months, the battery drops way too fast thought, i mostly use to listen to music in my rides to school and some social media apps, and by the middle of the day, i have like 20 percent of battery. Camera is good enough, it takes fast shots and the mp is good enough, it can be better but i dont have any complaints in that department. The worst thing, in my opinion, is that it only has 16 gb memory and a lot of that is used by the phone's apps, those u cant even delete. It doesn't accept external SD cards (i tried), and neither other phone's chargers, only the original.

  • I have had this phone for not even a year and a half now and am awfully disappointed in its capabilities among other things. There is no where near enough ram to support many games, I had to delete my games because it was just too slow and it wasn't coping. The battery is too small and drains very quickly even if on power save mode. I have started having problems with this phone having service (4 or 5 bars) but my internet wont work so I took it into my provider and they had a look and basically said its on its last legs and you will need a new phone AFTER 1 AND A HALF YEARS!!!! unless I spend money and a lot of it to get it fixed and it will probably cost more than the phone when I bought it brand new. the phone is also very flexible because of its plastic frame which isn't exactly great for it either. But I will give it one thing, the screen takes a lot to break and I have dropped it on many occasions and I have only just put a very minor crack in it.

  • Is it possible to use sd card as internal memory

  • Bought HTC Desire 530 from Officework in August 2017, started to have problem by December 2017 where not able to "answer" in coming calls as it appears the "answer" on the touch screen is faulty. Also the blue tooth kept switching off by itself. Despite the phone is brand new, and 4 months old, Officework insisted on repair which will takes couple of weeks. Now I am stuck with no phone! Stay away from HTC products!!

  • It was working good, then a yellow spot appeared on the right side of the screen and now it won't charge, and according to the carrier I am screwed no warranty and I have a protection plan. The phone is in excellent condition never been dropped or wet, they should give me another phone since the battery's are defective but they won't. Bad company

  • Well, i have the phone for about 18months... it is not souch a bad phone as others suggest.... it does support an sd card, and i'd recomment upgrading the storage, because it is constantly updating something, and alot of space is used by the apps and android. bat life is as expected for 2000mah batt. when not using, it lasts 2 days minimal on standby, other than that, normal usage requires daily charge (over night). it boots slow, and the camera is not too good, it is just ok. front cam is crap. It is loud enough, and mic is good, so that is a plus. it is a phone for regular light user. i use it alot to stream youtube on my tv, so.... for a cheap phone, it is ok

  • Awesome

  • I don't know what u complain about phone its ok for normal user, if i wanted to work like PC with ssd i would get 500$ phone, its its very ok, i have viber, insta, fb lite and rayman in back. and about 500mb free ram, has like 5,5 gb free with 4,5 games... battery can do 2 days with a bit everything, but its not important at all battery will be full for 1h and 45 min so its nothing, everything its amazing, 3d icons and own HTC store , camera its nice, both of them, sound its nice also, 4g . 130 $ i could never ask for more

  • Very good phone affordable phone. You get what you pay for. A lot of storage is used up for system itself. I would recommend buying an SD card for the phone if u have lots of files/ music/ downloads/ pictures etc. It certainly is an efficient, affordable and sleek Android phone for everyday use.

  • Bought this for budget reasons due to an embarrassing incident with my prior phone and I am flat out double embarrassed that I did. Not only do I have to pay so little for a device that I can hardly use but I have to hard boot every time I run out of juice on the damn thing. You know what that is? Emergency menu and reboot from there. Not exactly my kind of startup process. Even coming from a Windows PC background. Bottom line is that if you see this on eBay or any kind of carrier closeout (even the big red V like in my case) then just click right past and go to the next lowest price. Never did I have the words "get what you pay for" blast my brain so much. People I know want me to get rid of it and so far I resisted the call because fixed income (which is also why I bought it as the cheapest one I could get on the Verizon website). Sadly I am going to have to pay a junker or something and pay the price, except that I now have to jack up the family account because consolidated services. Don't make the same mistake, even in the same exact conditions I did. Never AGAIN. Heck, I am even going to consider Rift over Vive as a gamer if I ever try VR just because I have no respect for HTC because of this (and that says something for someone who used their brand in the past).

  • Again like I said I will give it a proper review as well..FYI..To be able to review a phone you got to personally have it in your hands first and try it in every way as well..Those bad comments are not very convincing about this phone.

  • I am about to buy this phone because it seems to be great for having I have read many reviews I believe on the good ones given not the bad ones I'm going to try it my self and will give it a proper review as well.

  • Please DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE. It is possibly the worst economical mistake I have commited in my life. IT TAKES AGES FOR THE BATTERY TO BE FULL. I have been having this phone for about a year and it brings me constant rage. Whats worst the BATTERY DRAINS SOOOO FAST. The camera is very crappy and it took me to travel to leagues of shops to find a screen protector for this pile of junk.

  • Phone work fine and it's 16gb so you end up with around 7gb free so don't listen to people who say there's no storage, if they knew who to control a phone "properly" they wouldn't moan, just don't update apps you don't use, and as for the battery unless your sitting in the sun turn down your screen brightness... These amateurs who pretend they are phone experts and write reviews.. but haven't got a ucking iglue

  • Please do not buy this phone. This phone has caused me so much rage. I had it for about 8 months and during the last 5 months the battery constantly says using too much power even though i have no apps running. I only have music and a few small social media apps and my phone was always less than 2 gb due to the htc factory installed apps. This phones camera is slow as it takes about 4 seconds to finally snap. I just broke my phone with a cleaver on purpose and im never buying a trash phone like this again.

  • I bought the phone 4 months ago, but I didn't try whether it support SD card or not. Later I realized that my desire 530 doesn't support SD card. This is my first time of using HTC phone, but am a little bit disappointed in the HTC company. The internal memory for the apps and other files is only 0.98MB.

  • Don't do it

  • I have had this phone for about a year and a half I have some good and bad things about it. My cons are the battery, it it pretty worthless it constantly just drains. It's never their. I had recently got an exchange from a watery because my phone battery jumped from 80% to 3% when I had restated my phone when the phone wouldn't open any apps. I do indeed like the camera and just the screen in general. I went to a HTC because it sounded positive Island I can no longer agree with my previous thoughts.

  • I am having mine for almost a year now and the battery overheating only when I charge it in hot weather not carrying it outside of my bag or pants. The crashes only started occurring after the phone updated something so now I have to be a bit carefull when operating it .I have never seen my phone go in root mode. But I put my phone in developer mode so maybe that's the reason

  • This phone is great! I have always used Nokia before and have tried different brands which i haven't liked. HTC is really simple to use, is reliable, fast and works perfectly all the time.

  • No otg!!! Iam from iran this phone is bad and i have this Front camera is suck

  • No user instruction manual added. For hours trying, yet I could not even put on a sim card.

  • phone is dope don't listen to those comments

  • What is the wrong please ? I askq because I want to buy it.

  • Some bad porn you were watching if this was crashing for you

  • it is sooo bad battery so suck I don't liked

  • Do not listen other people the phone is soo good ..the camera is the best 8 mp camera...the screen is a 720p is just too underpriced..trust me..if you want to buy it...do it now!!!

  • No

  • dear friend, I'm willing to buy this phone of Verizon Wireless model from India. I don't know whether it working or not in India. But in Verizon's website it's supported to use all over world. Can you confirm that whether it work or not without activating the phone?

  • Will it supports otg

  • I bought this for my mother. This is my first HTC and I am not impressed. The phone has overheated many times in the first 3 week if minimal use. It has also crashed 5 time in the 3 weeks. When it crashes it goes into a "Root" mode and warns that rooting the phone may cause it to malfunction. There is a menu that you can select from including a "Reboot" selection. The problem is who needs a phone to crash and reboot into "root" mode or overheat while using the phone function after 5 or 10 minutes? This makes me think HTC does not know how to make a phone. We will see how HTC support is with fixing this mess.

  • OK. I got this phone free ( from metro PCS with a contract) and it has some pros and some cons. Camera is AMAZING, screen is AMAZING, 16gb of storage, which is very good ( my old phone had only 4) and the screen is a great size. I did find few cons though. Some heavy games such as modern combat lag. Minecraft lags a bit so not the best at games like those but is bearable. Now for the worst; The battery. My battery dies at the rate of about 1 percent ever five minutes which means the battery only lasts about 1-2 hours when I only have it sitting in my pocket not even playing it. Overall it's a great phone but if you pick up this phone you might want a power bank.

  • The camera is 720p HD

  • this is great set , with this price , dosen't hangs , can download heavygames , 16gb builtin, camera is best both front and back even in night ,flash light is great, only problem i found is of using headset/headphone ,you have to use it manully . but over all i loved this set still using it , , great set from HTC

  • How about the camera?

  • I have this phone and i like

  • great storage without SD card I have over 1000 pics and about 7 apps and some music and still have not had to put a sd card in. Also love the white color and has loud sound best phone so far!!

  • hold the vol down and the power button at the top at the SAME TIME

  • No, you have to turn the screen with your finger it doesn't turn when you turn your head

  • Can you use virtual reality on this phone?

  • I might have bought it, if they didn't place the camera lens in the corner.

  • You have to hit the volume down button and power button at the same time to get a screenshot

  • Press the power and down volume button at the same time

  • power and vol down simultaneously

  • I need help. The notification panel is frozen with old notifications, battery life, time. But it also displays new notifications and time. It's double layered.

  • How is it a brick when it only weighs 140g which is light for phones these days ..I got it for 150e didn't even have to buy a case cause it fits in my 610 case

  • I bought this phone two days ago, so far its good. Pls i want to know how to screen shot with this phone, some pls tell me

  • the video recording is really really really bad. do you agree? specially during the night under room light

  • The HTC Desire 530 is one of the best phones I have ever had. The battery drains a little faster than I am used to but it still lasts at least 12 hours and usually longer. Not sure why it has so many bad reviews but I am sticking with this phone until it fries. Nick

  • hahaha LOL 200 Euro for this brick? For 150 Euro you can buy this: Much better. I have one.

  • 530 desire camera very good and sound clarity very well .

  • Bad battery

  • Great phone ease of use ,ease of way around ,recommend

  • I love my HTC desire 530 but the fact that my carrier leaves I phone that I bought strapped to them for 90 days. Well I guess I pay for there service but to much bloat wear

  • why?I will buy for my parents soon...pls reply

  • Is this true

  • This is Good phone one prblm is malayalam not support

  • Good Phone

  • The phone is slow compared to other economy phones. The camera in the front is in an odd corner position that sticks out bulky and seems to want to catch on things. My lens cracked from being in my pocket and ive had the phone for only a week. The interface is restricted and the ram is lower than all other brands. I got sold this phone on an upgrade and I might go back to my old LG K7, but i spent 100 bucks on this new phone. It was recommended to me by the sales representative. The battery drains so quickly by the constant updates and giant data the "pre installed apps" came with.

  • I am getting the htc 530 in the morning and i was reading up the some of the comments first befkre i got it and some recommend and some dont so i dont know wot to think about the phone

  • large dimensions? Its a 5" phone

  • That sounds like a carrier restriction.

  • I cannot recommend HTC 530.I cannot access certain phone numbers such as 1300 & 1800, known as hotlines in Australia. Very restricted. I hate the phone. It should be removed.

  • Would you like Android 7.1 on this device?

  • It's the worst phone I've ever had. The design is terrible, little ergonomic, which slips easily from the hands by the type of materials used by HTC in it. The large dimension does not allow you to handle it easily with one hand. HTC blocks some important features of Android as a multi-user feature and uses the SENSE system itself as the main application and this limits the operation of the phone. I would have preferred to buy the Huawei GR3 with similar or lower price with better features than it.

  • It's a pretty good phone it's better then a cheap Android yet still cost efficient, it looks modern and sleek not that, that matters but some people do care, I would recommend

  • yes and yes

  • what you on about? good phone all around .

  • where are you getting this information???

  • WAY too underpriced!!!! It doesn't make sense!!!!

  • i would like to bye

  • Very bad phone because of the phone space which is 16MB and it is written 4GB and it becomes very slow at any time and you are forced to formate it.

  • no

  • terrible battery life, weak cell antenna...after 2 weeks, I went back to my 2 year old LG L-90, cracked screen and all. The Desire will be for sale on ebay very soon...

  • What about dot view case does it has smart case or what ?

  • I am looking to buy one of these phones. What is the camera like? Is the phone suitable for watching YouTube videos, social media and light gaming?

  • Worst phone I ever have. Don't waste your money for something so bad. 1. Battery bad, if you want use internet on your phone (data on all the time 2-3 times daily quick check game) better buy some good powerbank. 5-6 hours life battery. 2. Bad signal antenna (loosing network signal verry often) when no signal too long it's crashes and even if you manuals find network it says you can't connect... need reset... few times. 3. Some HTC apps crash and need allege time solving problem... 4. You can't manually connect to LTE (phone choosing what speed network you should use) witch is very annoying cause if you have weak signal it automatically change from "LTE" to "3g" to "E". With weak signal no internet... 5. No OTG !? I don't care about camera or screen so I will leave it to others opinions.

  • its nice phone rate 8/10

  • i want to bye this phone. please tell me about this phone's camera. how is this quality?

  • I got this phone a few days ago and had to call Verizon Nothing was resolved . When I do not have Wi-Fi the phone won't receive calls or text I was told I could make and receive calls and text with out Wi-Fi or data . I don't understand what's going on or how to fix it ! My plan is up-to date and has had a payment made but still won't work right.

  • So does it supports OTG or not?

  • I bought it and its a nice phone.

  • It doesn't support jio sim why?

  • All you have to make sure of is that the SD card is a Class 10 or a UHS-1 (anything uhs-1 will be class 10 by default it should say directly on the packaging)

  • i own this phone . and everything is good, good price , nice phone speed .. good battery .. i play games like NFS, FIFA on it and still good battery and still works fast :) some new games lag little because it have 4x processor ... but for this price phone rating is 20 of 10

  • mobile is good but installing apps is very late

  • waste phone on this price and bad battery

  • I have bought HTC Desire 530 a few days ago. Now it's working as I expected. I like its design and everything it has. I highly recommend you to buy.

  • Is this phone good..plz.. help me.I'm going to buy this phone

  • Mobile Phones HTC Desire 530 GB256

  • It has "Power Saver Mode" that make some basic stuff like disabling the vibration when tapping, turns off data/gps/wifi/auto sync/etc.. and also has an "Extreme Battery Saver Mode" that only allows you to use the phone app, messaging app, calculator, calendar and disables all the other options :)

  • You have to verify the "Class" of the micro SD Card, it is a number inside an incomplete circle. Most of the SD Cards are "Class (4)", if you want to use the SD Card as internal storage it should be "Class (10)". The class of the card tells you how fast it is.

  • Is this devise has a power saving mod like smsung ultra power saving? Can use it 24 hours when it fully charged?

  • I have a question what kind of Micro SD card do you have to buy for this cellphone because I bought a card and it said it was too slow to convert it into an internal storage. And then it didn't work at all. It was a 128gb card. Ugh help me pls.

  • I have a question what kind of Micro SD card do you have to buy for this cellphone because I bought a card and it said it was too slow to convert it into an internal storage. And then it didn't work at all. It was a 128go card. Ugh help me pls.

  • Lenovo vibe k5 plus is better

  • Just to check wirh you. HTC Desire 530 have LED Notification> TQ

  • Just got this phone a few days ago and its driving me insane! After 15 years of a "Star Trek Communicator" type flip phone, I have NO CLUE on how to operate it. Wish it came with a user manual..and try to send a text?? Bumble fingers!! Well at least Verizon offers "classes" on how to operate..looks like I'll have to sign up lol.

  • this phone is well worth the money i had an htcone m9 before this one and it was brilliant i would reccomend htc to anyone i had a samsung and an lg and all i can say nothing can beat an htc handstet they are brill be make of phone ever

  • I've bought this phone and it is great device for the money, the only downside of this phone is that it doesn't have a notification light, but everything else is great for me, camera, battery life, display etc.

  • Thanks for posting what you know, Samaratin. It helped me!

  • Battery life sucks!! I am hopping future fixes address that issue...

  • Hi guys ! i was a samsung and a sony user for the last 5 years and i mostly preffered to go for the HTC brand because its design and its uncommon in our country .. should i go for HTC .. how about the brand and say me a good phone to buy..

  • Install a software update, theres one available, that sould solve the problem since it updates system ui and framework res. If you have already installed it try hard reset :(

  • recent apps not showing in recent app button!!! help me out

  • HTC Desire 530 I Own It, It's Fairly Decent 8/10 Rating I Would Definitely Recommend This To Anyone Considering To Buy! Especially Over The Lenovo A6000 Even Though I Love Lenovo, So Yeah Dude :D

  • OMG, wth is wrong with this battery! D:

  • Lenovo this is rubbish

  • Guys help me to decide which phone is better is it htc desire 503 or lenovo a6000 plus?

  • So having spent a little under a week with this handset, its very fluid and does the job nicely camera is ok for your social media shots nothing else which isn't really to be expected from its price point, speaker is loud and clear in call pretty much the same. Now for the bad points, this handset has smooth edges and I have found it slipping out of my hand, now the battery is the biggest let down and seriously its the biggest joke I have ever experienced in a smartphone its worse than terrible, first of all I fully charged it out the box switched on went through all the pre amble start up when all this was completed it dropped from 100% to like 82% I was shocked! With everything I can think of after that switched off wifi, nfc, location, and set the phone into 2g- 3g mode, switched on battery saver mode its still awful and drops like a stone, wondering if future updates will fix this.

  • Ok so the handset has come and to say I am shocked at the battery life already, I unboxed it fully charged it started it up took around 5 minutes to initialise everything before taking me to the welcome screen, so I set it up turn off all things like data, nfc, wifi, enable battery saver copy contacts etc and we are down to 88% battery

  • i use lenovo vibe k5 plus it very good Save Battry I love lenovo 2750 mah battry power

  • Have one of these to test coming this week see what its like

  • Phone looks great and works ok. Sometimes a little slow and the battery life sucks on it.

  • i dont know, but i bought a htc desire 526 that performed very poorly.

  • Which phone will perform better for longer time HTC desire 530 or Lenovo Vibe K5? Please help!

  • Poetic thoughts you have

  • The best choice because : *4g support *Internal 16 GB & 1.5gb ram *Android 6.0.1 + htc sense (theme support) *Camera 8 + 5 *Display 5.0 inch HD super lsd *Nice designing *Best price

  • Does it have NFC

  • yes i have this phone, both the camera settings work for pokemon go

  • i have this phone and pokemon go works perfectly fine

  • i read that pokemon go need geyro seonsor not only accelerometer take care before you buy

  • does the AR works with pokemon go? the camera effect

  • Does the HTC Desire 530 have boomsound?

  • Read a good book instead.

  • It's not very good AND it's very good. Wow, amazing!

  • It's not very good, I had to bought a battery pack. But it's a very good smatphone.

  • I have this phone and pokemon go runs okay. I mean no real lag but it can be a bit slow to open sometimes.

  • So yeah Pokemon go. I need a new phone anyone know if this phone is good for it as my phone now crashes every 10 mins into the app because of low ram (768Mb of ram on my phone) this has 1.5GB and that should be enough but what about the processor or battery life.

  • Hi. .HTC making from Australia is good or not?

  • How is the battery life..?

  • How is the battery life..?

  • Yeah HTC never give up, its good news. Many smartphone announced in Q1-Q2. But, desire 530 SD 210 cost 220 Euro. Cmon... You're 2 steps away from the hell where BB just burn down. Don't let them grab yr feet to burn together.

  • camara quality?

  • Average performance but not bad I am using aroun 1 month still I don't have any problems with this phone.but battery drain faster if you use video calls.

  • No

  • Good phone ,I like the 'one touch' function though the size is 5". Zoom in or out are so free n relax. When two links are too jammed, the 530 will pop n zoom where u were mistakenly clicked, amazing! In recording, the ACC gave a hi-fi quality on the playback, especially when u linked with a blue tooth speaker,so good.

  • Charging Problam battery life so poor

  • gud phone

  • f2.8 wow haha...but doesn't really matter at the low end.

  • Please give details of this phone.. Is this good or bad..

  • not

  • has it notification led or not?

  • It doesn't have OTG support battery runs quite fast

  • Yes it can because it runs on Android 6.0 so it has Google play store where you can download Snapchat.

  • yes is can download snapchat.. it can also download any app available on the google play store. its a very good phone i have owned it, its one of my favourites

  • Hey nesha in any way you should go for samsung that has great service network in india most branded company, New features thats you cant get in other device except it , ultra data saving mode, ultra power saving mode, super amoled that look very sharp s bike features . Hence go for galaxy j3 2016 thanks.

  • Can HTC 530 download snapchat? & any apps? Thanks

  • Good Phone, Battery NON removable, in that price range good phone,

  • What chipset do you think is used in the J3? Its an also very cheep Speedtrum chipset. If I have to choose between MediaTek and Speedtrum I prefer MediaTek. HTC has other issues which would make someone prefer Samsung over HTC like their unstable software and crappy screens and a prize tag that is wel above the competition without delivering a better quality!

  • samsung j3..coz this htc phone is using a cheap chipset which is always used in budget smartphone.. htc phone price based on gsmarena is more than samsung j3..that all sorry for my bad english..

  • Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) or HTC Desire 530, and why?

  • 530 is single sim... Whereas 630 is dual sim

  • Yep its just below the speaker (hearing one)... In the black line

  • Such a waste. In my opinion the looks of this phone is really nice if.... if this phone is equipped with better spec I wouldn't hesitate to buy this Phone.

  • haha i have this

  • Dear bugga Please advise me how to connect USB flash drive to this mobile.... its not supporting 3.0

  • what is best color...?? I mean looking smart?

  • is it has dual sim mode or single sim mode

  • Is there light notification available on screen or not

  • Dont waste you money for this,it has really bad hardware for the price, lenovo vibe k5 is both cheaper and better and it will be updated to marshmallow too.

  • Is this phone 4g (d530) enabled...I have been advised to go for it other than the d825...though HTC..."sd210 at this time and age is a low blow!!!!"

  • I buy this mobile, this very good mobile in this price. I want to inform u that in this mobile do have removeable batery. But this is a best mobile, u should buy this moblie

  • Bought this phone for $180 SGD. Looked to me the best phone in that price range. Turned out to be surprisingly good. Have been using for last 3 months or so. Pretty sleek and modern design. Doesnt look like a budget phone. Battery lasts a day and charges up in 30-40 minutes. Themes are pretty good. Runs Marshmallow. I think at the price, this is a very good phone. go for it!

  • I've bought this phone for a friend for 150 euro. In this price range it was the best phone he could have bought. I've spent some time with the phone setting it up. Despite specifications the phone has Android 6 and Sense 7. The interface was very fluid. The apps updates were downloaded fast and installations didn't caused lag. I was also pleasently surprised by the look of the phone.

  • Good phone for the money, only issue is my screen cracked within 1 week on very light pressure. for this money why not gorilla glass if moto g can ?

  • S6 is far far better than this shot

  • This phone supports U3 micro-SD card and can make it into internal storage on android 6. Has a switch to hyper power-saving mode can hold up to a week without charging. Great value for light users!

  • Lg k10 definetely!!! Better chipset(sd410 vs 210) better cpu (quad a53 cores vs quad a7) or even octa if its a mediatek version... big difference. better gpu better camera (and its 13mp vs 8mp). ram is the same or 1gb on k10 if snapdragon (still ok for a budget and k10 is optimized to run smooth) Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, on k10 vs Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, desire 530 is overpriced, I dont even know why it exists... the only thing going for it is dual speakers...

  • I want to buy a new smartphone, so which one should i buy htc desire 530 or gmLG K10. Which one will be better for everything. Plz suggest me.....

  • were exactly did they place the screws

  • my dream phone for the year of 2016

  • I just bought this phone and my last one was an s6 and i can tell you that the htc is really really fluid, i was quite amazed. the look is great with all the multi-colored micro dots on the back, the price is only a fraction of the "flagship" smartphones, the feel is great and solid in the hand and its not a common phone at all if you want to stand out of the crowd. why waste 300 to 400 more euros on "flagships" when these phones do the job astoundingly well! p.s: no gaming

  • its a good phone i will get it soon

  • Retro Chip also

  • It's a retro phone with modern capabilities.

  • HTC desire 530 should be considered a "non-removable Li-Ion 2200 mAh battery" model. I've paid for it, played around with it, tested it and destroyed the corner and soft back-cover to see if I could see the battery. The back cover required the front stickers to be removed with a few screws. The screws are Torx screws (six angle star shaped), which is uncommon for cover removal.

  • most cutest set till 2016...................................

  • Omg.... How ugly it is... M7 was the best android phone ever. How comes HTC evolved from that to this :/

  • Ultra pixel is on their flagship device you need to do more research this device does not have ultra pixel. only phone in the desire line with a good camera is the desire eye. My Comment said nothing about ultra pixel. Learn to read.

  • it does not support otg

  • when htc release ultra pixel all of htc enemies said megapixel is most important and htc flagships camera are low quality and we can't crop the pictures!!!!!!!!1 but now when htc makes bigger resolution than other rivals the story changes and all htc enemy are saying the megapixel isn't that important!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! shame on you that you change your idea every times.you are like a mote that the wind shots it every where. persons like you have no determination and change their idea every times .

  • What about battery life???

  • comparing the desire 530 with the samsung j1 are u high they npt even in the same price Bracket. Samsung j3 should be compare not the j1. j1 is a budge phone more on par with the 300 series of the desire line. and megapixel dont count for desire 600 and 500 series cuz the camera is higher mega pixel but still get crappy pictures frm them. how about doing a proper comparson bye the j3 and then post that or get the desire 300 serie to compare to ur j1.

  • Anyone who bought the phone ,tell me whether USB otg is supported? And any cons..

  • Holy cow, it Looks so ugly!!

  • unfortunately there is no htc phones available to buy here in the philippines. no motorola too. how come

  • I like the phone but the price should be much lower looking at its specs. How can you compete with other phones with better specs and lower price like the lg k10 for example?

  • The should've tried at least sd 435/450 to this.prefomence will be a con!

  • htc is best phone..samsung has hanging problam

  • What about battery life????

  • Only single sim card suport !!

  • but this phone equipped with dual front speaker and that increases the size.

  • It looks quite nice actually + materials are good. With proper pricing could have potential.

  • LG G3 5.5" - 146.3 mm This phone 5" - 146.9 mm ;)

  • I agree and you can say that again

  • Its funny to see 5" phone with bigger in length (> 140mm) and using a NANO sim. :)..

  • I think you are right.snapdragon 210 isn'nt good for a midrange device.

  • I compared this phone with Samsung galaxy j1 2016 . and see that htc is far better than Samsung J1 2016 . htc desire 530 is better in: 5.5" hd display(galay J1 4.5" 800*480) htc screen to body ratio is 66 but J1 is 44%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! D530 equipped with 16g internal and 1.5g of ram but J1 has only 8 and 1. D530 released with latest android but Samsung J1 with 5th version. D530 has nfc but J1 not. htc desire 530 has 8and 5 mpxl camera but galaxy J1 5 and 2. and it is better we don't speake about body quality or design and ..... because it's clear that htc is far better. if don't like this phone please go to your pages and wright about your brands.

  • lol SD 210....

  • an entry level and will be under 150$ for sure.if not it is worth........

  • sd 210 lol.

  • First android phone with SD 200 series processor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
