Samsung Galaxy Watch - User Reviews

  • The cellular Version is only with EE

  • I had this watch for almost 8 month, it was wonderful until I found out that some how water penetrated into it although it never dropped neither got any harmed. When I came to Samsung laboratory, I was shocked to hear this watch has no warranty if water penetrates to it. What a shame big Samsung. I decided to through him to garbage, A 400 $ watch !! Never trust what you see or hear .

  • I understand from Samsung Australia that there will be e firmware update to rectify a common problem that allows phone calls to be made out but not received in LTE mode. Hopefully soon.

  • I meant the sim card on my phone, not on my watch. My phone is s10.

  • I have now had my watch for 2 weeks and was having problems with receiving calls out of Bluetooth range but strangely had no problem making calls. Had my phone sent away to Samsung (in Melbourne) and had it thoroughly checked out and returned the next day. It checked out fine so I went to the Telstra tech desk. After checking all settings they replaced my sim card and it's now working fine. If you drag down on the screen and go into settings you should be able to connect. The cost here in Australia through Telstra is only $5 per month.

  • Hey guys since last update I noticed my watch wake up gesture is not working, does anyone has same issue pls? Or anyone knows how to solve it?

  • I have also just purchased this watch in Australia and it seems to have a limited range. Is there a setting to properly activate it or is it activated by the carrier as there does not appear to be a separate sim card slot.

  • Yes I do. I’ve had it since March this year and it does all the above mentioned by you. Only thing is in my carrier is not yet available two sims for the same connection so I must have a separate connection for the watch. Other than that it’s great to leave home for exercise without my phone and still be reachable. Awesome feature the auto LTE function when it gets separated from your phone.

  • Has anyone got the LTE cellular version of this watch. in the UK (Ie the one you dont have to have your phone anywhere near it ie miles away as the watch can act as a phone all on its own for text, calls and emails) As seem to be having some major issues network wise. The idea was to buy one of these types of watches so I can respond to phone calls, messages and email where Im not allowed a phone like on film sets as they are worried about people taking photos to post on social media which kinda gives the plot away (imagine Empire strikes Back and people all knowing who lukes daddy was before the film came out). Thing is not looking to mess things up just be able to respond to work calls saying can you work on tuesday so can book it etc. Cant do that with no phone but can with a cellular smart watch. These watches dont have cameras so there should be no probs. But the idea also was to buy the watch upfront so could add it on to any 1 month sim only deal I was goign with on any network. However am I right in that its only Vodaphone or EE that works with these in the UK? and NOT any of the piggy back (use others network, networks) like Virgin which uses EE network, Giff Gaff which uses O2s network, ID which uses 3 Network and Voxi which uses Vodaphone's network, All of which are way cheaper then the original networks. Vodaphone and EE seem over priced and not offing 1 month rolling contracts. £350 for the watch and £5 extra to run it a month ontop of a £10 phone bill is one thing. Having to sign up for a £25 or £40 contract on top of the watch or being trapped in a 24 month contract is way worse... Also how hard is it to set up say if I get a good deal on one of these say on amazon or get a second hand one off ebay?

  • I'm assuming that was a typo. The Active is definitely not as formal as the Galaxy Watch.

  • Its a metter of taste and your style, galaxy gear or watch are sporty model while active are more formal, off course galaxy watch is a little better than gear s3 from battery size and some other feature like swimming function. for the watch size it's also depend on your style and rest size. if you like big watch or small one

  • Hey, so I just wanted to know if there are any big differences between the gear s3 and the galaxy watch, I've been debating over the galaxy watch active2, gear s3 and galaxy watch, which do u think is the best? Last of all is it more worth it to get the 46mm or the 42mm watches?

  • Hey, is there any difference between the gear s3 and the galaxy watch feature wise? Because I'm thinking to either get the gear s3, galaxy watch or the galaxy watch active 2.

  • Does it have compass? If I go hiking, in the middle of nowhere, I might need a compass

  • maybe contact Samsung support, not GSMarena product commentary, which not intended for support??

  • My Galaxy Watch power saving mode is not turning off. what should I do??

  • No news of that, yet, MadMax. We can expect one next year, though. Maybe with the S11 line.

  • Samsung Watch is longer in getting newer model as compared to smartphone.....no worry.....i m still wearing Samsung Gear S3 Frontier ( year 2016 ) with latest Galaxy Watch came out only in 2018 but still packed with same spec as Frontier.........I still love Frontier even now in 2019 because still no other smart watch can have so much features.....

  • I am interested in buying this watch, I am just worried that if I buy now, a newer version might come out anytime soon. Anybody heard any news if there will be a newer release of this watch?

  • He can also buy the A20-A80 and s8, s8+, s9, s9+, s10e, s10, s10 5G

  • Huh, if you wear an apple watch, just to stand out, thats flexing bro, and since so many have an Apple Watch you would stand out with the Galaxy Watch🎲

  • If you like waterproof watch to be able to swim with go with Samsung Galaxy watch.

  • Why is "standing out" so very important to you? People impressed by you owning an Apple watch are very shallow and pretentious. I forgot....." Birds of a feather flock together".

  • it is tizen-based os not android so it is perfectly normal not having google assistant !!!

  • Samsung gear s3 frontier ... or ... Samsung Galaxy watch ? Becuase in my country there is only few bucks difference ( 768 RAM version ). Please advise me. And also is gear s3 frontier 46mm size ? same as galaxy watch 46mm ?

  • What is the differences between versions

  • I LTE model does everything the bluetooth model does + cellular. So yes it will connect to your phone using bluetooth

  • Galaxy watch active is lighter and more aesthetically pleasing to some people. It is also thinner and has no bezzel so it is sleeker in design.

  • i want to buy this , does this LTE version work in Bluetooth as well ( similar to Bluetooth version?)

  • hello. bought watches samsung sm-r805f. how much everywhere i see is a color screen how do i make it color?

  • Hi, i am a satisfied user of this galaxy watch 42mm. it works with all android phones, u just hav to download the galaxy gear app from playstore.

  • Samsung advertises that the Galaxy Watch has a 5 atmosphere water resistance rating. Given that we are currently living in 1 atmosphere, this means that this translates to 4 atmospheres of depth in water. Each 1 atmosphere equates to 10 metres depth, so the watch is rated to 40 metres depth water resistance, not 50 metres. Also note that this is a water resistance rating not an actual water proof guarantee. In practise, I would personally not expect this to be waterproof to much more than 10 - 15 metres.

  • hello, which model do you think is the more comfort and light to hold? galaxy watch 42mm or watch active? thanks.

  • Hi, someone can confirm if this samsung galaxy can pair with huawei p10 lite and can make a call and sms in the watch? thanks in advance.

  • Hi all, I have been using this Galaxy Watch for quite some time now. I am pretty impressed with the performance. I have to charge once a day for about an hour or so to avoid battery dropping to low levels. I usually have it connected to my smartphone via bluetooth. notifications are quick to appear on the Watch, watchfaces are nice, fitness wise it does let you know when to move and when doing some physical, the watch does give you morale showing that you are exercising. Overall i am happy with this Galaxy Watch. Thanks Samsung

  • So you want to stand out? Whahaha

  • I bought galaxy watch 7 months ago. I use it to track my swimming trainings and its not working any more. It is sold with the feature of waterproof but honestly it is not waterproof. Samsung doesnt cover the reparation even though the watch it was used in normal conditions. I dont know if there is anybody who is in my own situation to search other expiriences and opinions with this watch.

  • Yes, You need to download Samsung Gear App from Google Play and pair using Bluetooth.

  • The design doesn't tell its a smart watch, not different from normal old school watches. Wearing an Apple watch makes one stands out and sooo noticeable

  • yes. It has Samsung Internet Browser in-built.

  • Otherwise ok, heart rate measurement not accurate as expected, but mostly disturbing is that the glass got a nasty, surprising scratch after a few weeks of normal use !! COMMENT 2: WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT !: Looks like the model I bought RS-800 DOES NOT support eSIM ?!! Samsung, get your act together and make FULLY VISIBLE the specs of the various models, this fooling around with models / regions (e.g. golf app included in Korea, not elsewhere) is BULLSHIT today !!!! :( :( :(

  • Could yoy open internet browser by it?

  • You can download for free or for charge, everything what you want and I'm for sure you can find...bigger "watch-face", stopwatch, counter, "kitchen timer" for count down your time, many alarm-watch. Btw, that's advice from my expirience! You can download for example, fantastic watch face named "Casual AIO" with bright, clear and big infos, numbers, date, day etc. ;-)

  • im use it from december, and im really satisfied, long live battery ... 4 days on full use, heard sensor, sport, connect to phone, wheater and what can i use, some time i write in facebook from it :) is best watch for me :) recommend to use glass protector and silicon protector and i change the wristband because not like the original :)

  • After using 46mm for 3 months: Hardware and default firmware smooth. Battery life with always on display 2.5 days. With auto display probably 4 + days. For me problem is that it does not deliver on promises for Spotify/Sports tracking in parallel which is my main reason for purchasing the watch. Whenever you try to do sports with audio feedback about distance etc and listen to spotify at the same time, each time voice feedback starts it switches of spotify completely.

  • Feedback after a month of usage. Watch is responding really good. You will get nice watch faces from Galaxy apps. Battery life is far better than others after heavy usage. I am getting 46 hours of battery life after connected to my phone from 100%. Touch sensitivity is better than few budgeted smart watches. Auto detection feature is quite interesting while on sitting. Notifications is much faster than others. This cannot be compared with Apple Watch because both have different features. Galaxy watch interface is much simple than Apple's. But one thing to say Bixby feature is pathetic and ridiculous. This cannot be compared at 0.000001% with Apple's Siri.

  • Watch is great but battery doesn’t last a day. Last night I put it on goodnight mode and airplane mode with only bt on and it used 18% of battery in 8 hours. Lot of people seem to have the same problem after the latest software update but samsung doesn’t seem to react to it

  • I love this watch! no problem on sensitivity issue on its touchscreen for me. Hardly exercise but maybe i will after having this watch? No google assistant? no problem for me since i hardly use it anyway. It's like owning many G-shock watches when you only paid for one, simply love the variety of watch faces Samsung has!

  • is the watch able to connect to a oneplus phone?

  • it appears you have a faulty smartwatch

  • This watch is everything I expected it to be. It appears that most, but not all dissatisfaction stems from purchasers not being aware that certain applications are not available in the Samsung Galaxy store. Reading third party reviews and doing research in the Galaxy store prior to purchase is always a good idea. Unfortunately good watches that use Google Wear OS are getting rare and Wear OS just eats power. Until Google figures out a way to monitize apps in Tizen those apps probably won't be developed for Samsung watches.. So choose your poison but don't complain because you didn't research and made faulty assumptions about what you are getting.

  • Are they tough are do they break easy? I work construction and don't want my new s10+ phone in my pocket to get broke

  • The Samsung Watch works with iOS, using the Samsung Watch app, but offers even more options when matched with a newer Samsung phone.

  • I JUST HATE THE SAMSUNG 4G GALAXY WATCH. I loved it though when I first bought it for about 1 week. Then it started overheating when web browsing. Then it started sending out random mobile phone numbers to my friends. The store I purchased it through replaced it straight away which was terrific as it was only 2 weeks old. So the replacement started overheating again ( in Australia )! Boring. The store said send it back to Samsung for a Service. I did. Samsung say it works within their specifications so they consider that there is nothing wrong with it. HOWEVER THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH IT IF IT SITS ON MY BESIDE TABLE AND NOT ON MY WRIST WHERE THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO GO. TOO MANY PROBLEMS. TOO MANY FAULTS. TOO MANY EXCUSES. I do believe they have had a go at building a decent watch. It has many issues though. Samsung more or less say bad luck...that problem is within our specifications so suck it up! NEVER BUY THE SAMSUNG GALAXY WATCH 4G LITE.

  • I have the galaxy watch and I love it, I just wish it would last as long as they say. I get one days wear out of it, before charging. Apart from that it's great.

  • yes it does. but just a pro tip. sell your iPhoneX and buy S10+

  • hi! i want to buy one, but I have an IPHONE X, do you recommend me to buy the new samsung wach???

  • Honestly the best smartwatch I've ever owned I really love this thing! Only issue is app support when I had a moto 360 the thing had millions of apps you could get. But honestly the battery on this thing is insane! I can get up to 4 days of battery life that is honestly amazing! If you are looking to buy this watch I do recommend it heavily but it is still an expensive device and saying that. I think you should only purchase it if you can get a good deal also I have the 46mm version and honestly impressed good job samsung!

  • I have lived with the Galaxy Smartwatch for about a week and am still getting to know it. I opted for the larger 46mm watch mostly because my eyesight is not great and I need the bigger display. It is probably the best for any Android phone user, especially if it is a Galaxy S7 or newer. Although it will connect with an iphone, I would assume any Apple user would stay within brand and buy an apple watch. I had no problems connecting it with my S7. Once paired to your phone most settings and preferences are controlled by your phone using the Gear app. Google maps are not included but you can download a watch version, which I did. But the display is so small that it is hard to read. Better to stick with the version already on your phone. I do have one complaint. There is no timer or stopwatch feature. A smart device that has a primary function of telling time that has no timer feature??? Come on Samsung. You should add that next time. As I said, I am still learning but I am a happy camper so far.

  • Hands down, the best smartwatch right now. I got it 2 months ago and I am loving it! Looks great, runs great, the bezel control is awesome and responsive. Has all the apps I need. And not even that expensive. Just plain AWESOME!

  • This my second Samsung smart watch, previously I used Gear 3 and for the second Galaxy watch, no much differences between this piece. And it so convinien upon my daily use. It really perfect for me, I loved it...thanks Samsung!

  • Brought the Samsung galaxy watch for Christmas - must say I’m disappointed. Doesn’t always show the notifications; bezel doesn’t always register; alarm won’t go off; touch screen at times won’t regisyer Have I got a lemon?

  • I have the LTE watch for £20 a month on EE and it works fine without the phone, but something similar to your issue has happened to my partner. EE have refunded her £20 and it now works. Just talk to them - EE is probably the only decent network in the UK; they are good at sorting stuff out

  • Well honestly, Samsung have two variants: bluetooth and cellular. Maybe, the electronic store sold you a variant you wasn't looking forward to (a scheme).

  • Anyone used galaxy watch with pocophone? Can someone tell us his experience please?

  • I bought 2 Galaxy watches, (46mm & 42mm), from an ee shop with mobile contract however they only work on bluetooth and with phone within proximity, apparently Samsung & ee network have an issue integrating, what a joke. It's annoying, why sell products/services that are not fully working, absolutely ridiculous!!! I should have gone for the Apple watch, definitely won't recommend this to friends and family. Not getting full benefit of my purchase. I just have to wait for an unspecified time period for Samsung & ee to sort it out, i'm gutted.

  • last week i updated galaxy watch 42mm software. but after update touch not working. even i can't restart. can i get help...

  • 1)You can turn it on in settings to unlock with wrist motion 2)If you want Nike app buy a Apple watch

  • BTT means that the watch can only be used with the mobile using the Bluetooth (Like old S3 frontier), LTE means you can use it as a stand alone device with a separate 4G SIM card.

  • I would rate this 3/10. And coming from a big Samsung fan (I own a Note 9) this is incredibly disappointing. I got this mainly because i recently got into running. I wanted the watch for 2 reasons - bluetooth my headphones to listen to music or podcasts and have Samsung health or strava record my activity in the meantime. That's literally it. Unfortunately the watch barely has any apps available in the play store. Strava is there. But I also needed YouTube music. That's not. Then I moved some music onto it, the good ol' mp3 I had in my computer. The Samsung music app on the watch doesn't have shuffling capability! Then I thought at least strava and Samsung health will do its job. Last 2 runs Samsung health has failed to sync with my Note 9. Additionally, I had to pay 99p on an awful interval training app. I used to use "couch to 5k". That's of course not available on the watch's playstore. I mean this is marketed at people who wanna do some activity yet it's painful for that. Some positives: battery is decent (unless you switch gps/LTE/notifications all on) and the navigation is fairly smart once you get used to it (first 2 days were a nightmare). Also, get rid of Bixby, Samsung! Seriously. The market has spoken. No one likes it. Disappointing. But could be reasonable if the app store is updated with actual useful apps.

  • Hi. I bought my new galaxy watch 1 month ago. I must say I am very unhappy with it. Issues are as follow 1) it doesn't immediately wake up with wrist turn 2) no Nike+ App available 3) in fact lots of apps that my girl friend can get on her apple watch are not available on my galaxy watch even though my note 9 has these apps. 4) extreme lack of intuitivity with user interface 5) I down loaded map my run onto my watch, it then disappeared from my watch completely a week later 6) map my run doesn't always synch properly to my note 9 phone 7) I went running with just my watch on. I opened map my run on my watch only to see a message from the app on the watch which read that it couldn't connect due to no bluetooth connectivity!!!! What the??? It always operated with GPS. So there was yet another run not recorded!!!! Extremely frustrated. 8) Samsung S Health doesn't record run maps 9) you have to program the watch to actually do the very basic things that you would expect a smart watch todo 10) alarm, stop watch and Timer are separate apps you have to download. How *****ic is that!!!! This watch is a clunker. I am a Male but I can tell there has been no female involved in the design of this. Learn from the automobile industry Samsung. Make sure everything you design is pre screened by a female user. It will save you the embarrassment

  • Does the fossil have LTE option in it?

  • I have been using the Samsung S3 frontier watch for a long time on multiple phones that I bought which have all been android and from HTC or LG and also my first Samsung phone recently which is a s9 plus and it worked perfectly with them all but today I bought the Samsung galaxy watch and I have to say its extremely good and it feels very well built compared to the S3 frontier and the software is definitely better on it and it's very well polished whereas the software experience on the S3 feels a little bit rusty in comparison. I really like this smart watch and I will be keeping it for sure and it syncs perfectly with my s9 plus and so far I would recommend it to anyone who is considering it even though they have the S3 frontier watch already.

  • Bought this one and returned it next day. It is a good watch, the battery life is astounding, but with Samsung still trying to force us Tizen, with the AWFUL Bixby, nope, not going to do it. Went and got the Fossil Gen4, regular Wear OS and all the power of the Google Assistant for half the price.

  • Yes it is

  • Guys honestly i went to pc world store and i was playing 2 hoirs both with te new iwatch and samys one and both are ry good i dont like the shape of the iwatch thats why i went and i both the galaxy one. I verry happy with it the rotating bazel is next level im telling you,...

  • Yes you can reply to the Viber/Whatsapp messages you receive as notifications on the watch. There are few automatic replies which you can add/change as per your needs or even type a reply using the keyboard or do a speech to text reply from the watch. I have been using the watch for 1 week now, no issues so far. Battery life is just amazing! But I wish there were more apps readily available in the Samsung App store.

  • In few years samsung is gonna be the main watch maker .

  • whatsapp notification/sms u can get n response

  • yes u can watch msgs

  • Yes,you can read messages from Galaxy Watch.

  • I read somewhere that viber and whats up apps are not available in galaxy watch. What will happened if i receive whats up/viber messages on my phone!? I will be able to watch these messages ftom the watch?

  • Which one should i buy ???? Samsung Galaxy watch 46 mm OR Huawei watch 2 I need 4 g support .... Thank u

  • Is it possible to always on screen during workout?

  • This is 46 mm right? What is your opinion about the 42 mm one?

  • Pros: Around 4 Day battery real life use. Good looking, sleek design and very usable OS Cons: Bulky body, Tizen OS is lackluster from apps, Bixby is practically useless I've used and owned Wear OS devices and this is by far the best watch experience you can get to date.

  • are those watch faces possible buy in the market for those that dont have galaxy watch like s2 or s3 ??

  • I'm using the Note 8 with this watch as well and had to take it off BT and Wi-Fi to keep it and my phone alive longer. Luckily, it's the LTE version (T-Mobile) though don't get me started on notifications (not a fan of Tizen or Samsung messages). I got this watch largely because of the purported 7 day battery life which by my observation (under mixed usage) is closer to 2-3. Better than most but far from desirable and remains the number one pain point I hear from most wearable users. Samsung does so many things right but still has SO far to go.

  • Is it with A-GPS or with normal one ???

  • Btt means bluetooth model, and the another one means that the watch has Wi Fi,and can work without the phone, unlike the Btt i guess, search on google or youtube for more.

  • how to stop to drain phone's battery using samsung galaxy watch? Comparing with amazfit stratos 2 - its uses 3x more battery juices, and I have no idea how to manage it. Phone is Note 8 , not rooted

  • I guess it's 4G and Bluetooth models.

  • what is mean of BTT and LTE models ??

  • What is your opinion about Galaxy Watch's Bixby? Is it like the one on the phones,or just like S-Voice?Please answer if you are using the Watch.

  • What is your opinion about Galaxy Watch's Bixby? Is it like the one on the phones,or just like S-Voice?Please answer if you are using the Watch.

  • I heard this even work with iPun X! O3O

  • The watch is great to look at and it's fast and versatile enough. I've used Wear OS watches and thus far Tizen OS is far superior to Googles alternative. True less apps, but i get what i need and more on top. Battery life has been the best i've seen for the usage I do daily. I've got one negative for it and it's quite the negative. The 46mm watch is way too thick. Uncomfortably so even for my hand. I'll give it a try for a few weeks but if it persist will sadly sell it. The other dimensions are fine. A tad chunkier but not by much than any other smart watch out there in that size category. PS: Strap is garbage, recommend replacing it pretty much immediately. Such an expensive watch with that strap is just a god damn rip off.

  • No, the Samsung Galaxy Watch does not download apps via the Google Play Store (as the operating system is Tizen 4.0).

  • The best thing about the watch is that it have circular screen and rotating bezel. This is the fastest and smart watch ever made by samsung.

  • Yeah, well would you switch back to one of those old Nokias?

  • Does this watch have google play store?

  • But i am not. Dont get me wrong but for a very long time Samsung is very lazy company and i dont believe anything will change in near future.

  • Old fashioned Nokia lasted 7 days this i would expect in present phones.

  • Im pretty sure they do though

  • Yeah, for good reason. Imagine using a phone as thick as that. In a world where we complain about the thickness of a phone like an XZ2 Premium, Gigantic batteries like the one on the 16k just can't be crammed in. Plus most phones now last a day. We need to bring it up to 2

  • Well energizer P16K bringed solution with 16 000 mAh battery phone. But noone else copying. Noone apart maybe Oukitel but 11 000 mAh and 16 000 mAh is still huge difference. But then i saw a powerbank with 800 000 mAh.

  • If Samsung phones will have project treble then ill be president of my country and maybe of USA as well.

  • Solar power cost nothing. Normal charging cost eletricity. And apart from Nikola Tesla noone would give power for free. Everybody charge you. I can understand that small watches wont eat much power but device plus another device and other device etc and you get a pretty nice bill to pay.

  • Uh something like that is going to take awhile. Let's first solve the problem with the battery in phones

  • Well, they've been showing promise with putting Pie in the S9. Probably is because of Project Treble

  • I'm aware, but again, what's wrong with charging every night? We already charge our phones everyday.

  • Maybe after 20 years when batteries will improve a lot. If we are able to reduce sizes of CPU and GPU into a tiny onnes and increase performance i am patiently waithing when this will happens with batteries. Imagine a tiny battery like watches have which should have 50 or 100 000 mAh. and supports dash charge 50A.

  • Man thats should be very nice but as long as i know how Samsung works this maybe never happens. Or just not now not soon in next 5 years. Samsung is company which makes jokes on its customers. They are as funny as piop up buttons on Note 9. Or batteries on Note 7.

  • Well man. Somewhere i saw a solar powered batteries. Just a small solar panel is enough big to non stop keep your watches working.

  • You say that smartwatches will never take off. I beg to differ. They may not be popular now, but the better they get, the better the sales will be. We're witnessing the start of something new. There is a lot of things we don't need, yet we still have them. A smart watch makes life a little easier, which is why I see so many wearing them. As for comparing a not even 10 mm thick phone with a thicker and bigger device such as a camera, well I can go on on why that's not a good comparison.

  • As far as I can tell, it's gone from being a year late, to 6 months and less. The S9 shows some promise of being updated possibly in November or December. And it's all because of the UI, which is hated by stock Android fans, but it's awesome for a lot who really like using it. It's personal preference, and with a Samsung phone, it's one of the few things you gotta live with

  • Tbh, I have to ask, what's wrong with charging it every night. There's only so much battery you can fit into a watch that is a smartwatch

  • Man most people have phone for that not watches. Time when watches relaces phone will never come maybe. Same as phone never replaces proper DSLR camera or any other proffesional camera like for example D3400 Nikon for 300 bucks. Only 300 bucks but not even note 9 doing as good photos as this camera its not even close to it.

  • Late updates thats correct and if we call improvement from 15 months waiting for updates to 14 yes for Samsung is a huge step for its customers is just another freak thing to poke on :-)

  • They dont fit at all. I remember old times from an very old movie known as knight rider where speaking onto watches and talking with car was a cool thing but right at the moment 3 days of charge is crap. Even most phones can last longer if they are barely used. And they also shows time. Watches are like a jewelry but apple, samsung etc watches are maybe cool gadget but as long as the battery wont last long they are as useless as they can be,.

  • According to Samsung at the Unpacked Event last 9th August, the Galaxy Watch uses low-power architecture, a next generation package technology, specifically for the Galaxy Watch. They claimed that it would last for several days (approx. 4 days) on a full single charge. Compared to other smartwatches, they would last, let’s say up to 18 hours for the Apple Watch in 1 charge, or even the previous Samsung smartwatches, like Gear Sport, last for up to 2 days. Obviously, when using Apple Watch after work, you’ll need to charge it every day due to its low battery capacity before your work starts in the next day.

  • I mean, it depends on what you want your watch to be for. If you just want something to tell the time, go for regular watches. But if you want a companion to your phone, something that tracks your fitness, something that lets you look like a secret agent when talking to your watch, then a smartwatch is the way to go. Smartwatches and regular watches just don't fit in the same category

  • Actually, just late updates really. And they are starting to improve.

  • The difference is, you would enjoy using the Note 9. 16000 is great for phones with such a heavy thick back and is mostly meant for going camping, hiking, or something similar where battery is your best friend

  • I'm pretty sure a watch from a pawn store doesn't have a touchscreen, LTE capabilities, health and fitness tracking, and storage in the watch itself. Smartwatches and regular watches are not in the same category.

  • Oh, you mean that ugly square matchbox with a strap. N uglyyyyý dial wart. Thank you for the benefit of your poor eye sight, but, shoulda gon to specsavers.

  • 472 mAh is joke. Even a watches from pawnstore can last 10000 times longer until they need to recharge.

  • Well thats a good point. But i dont expect thses companies will care. Energizer P16K is going to have 16K mAh battery. Show me one Samsung model which will have 16 000 mAh battery. Noone. They gave to note 9 mAh 4000 like its something special and still it can last maybe a day on a heavy usage.

  • Nice lie but i let you live with that :-) Samsung no updates and no after sales support and pop up bttons from note 9 really proven how they care about quality.

  • A lot worse. Anything made by samsung is known for no updates, no post sales, and no after sale services.

  • Note 9 is well known for its pop up buttons from Jerryrigeverything youtube video. Hope thses dont have opp up buttons :-)

  • Man best watch are maibe breitling or Swiss originals etc. Not theses piece of junk which can last only 3 days charged. Regular watches last several months or years on a single battery.

  • Nothing new.I do not need to buy same samasung Gear s3 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hmm, question. Exactly what is wrong with using incremental changes? After all, Apple has done it for awhile and showed that its a good thing. So why does Samsung get crap for doing the same?

  • long live the samsung gear s 3! :d

  • all three models have the same battery?

  • I think you will need to return your smart phone too. Coz you need to charge it every other day too and you are paying a premium for it I believe.

  • It lacks only one thing... Wear OS

  • no such technology exist.

  • I agree with you

  • I used smart watches before and tried a few models but decided to stop them and go back to my regular watch. Why? Until manufacturers provide a better battery solution where a fully charged battery can last at least for a month or 3 months before recharging, this whole experience of charging a watch almost every day is a joke and very tiring. No more smart watch for me until manufacturers provide better battery solution for such an expensive device.

  • As a Gear S3 user, this is a disappointment.

  • Companies want you to spend more money on these garbage

  • Perhaps, Apple Watch.

  • Maybe......

  • Until one of these devices can get a week's battery life under mixed use, this isn't even a conversation. Garmin comes close but a smartwatch shouldn't cost as much as a phone.

  • Actually, it's 200% better than Google's.

  • look at predecessor, it has only 768mb ram, why do you complain about it?

  • Alot better than android wear.

  • 1.5 GB of RAM?? If that's true, then this will be something else...

  • Wait a month for what?

  • Tizen ? Junk.

  • It's of the same nature like Note9. Since Note9 doesn't make for a revolution in terms of design and features, Samsung Watch won't make an exception. If you want a lovely smartwatch, just wait a month!

  • Does it have ambient Light sensor?

  • It's sad that it has almost the same specs as gear s3 and not event lets to choose color for 46mm size. Waited long for this and now I'm disappointed.

  • This is the best watch i like that its water resistant and has esim
