Just waiting on 5g option to get updated, but perfectly happy with my experience. i hear you on that bro. i love my htc m8 i didnt want to change it for anything i ended buying a total of like 3-4 htc m8 1 for me and one for my wife. she wet hers so i bought another one which worked for a few years then the battery issues started just like yours and i changed batteries and that was it then i had camera issues it would autofocus all the time and would not stop and would drain the battery i changed that and its all good now. i ended up changing phones to a huawei p9+ and its an awesome phone but i do miss my m8 with its beautiful stereo speakers. but if you are looking for something of a beast i would say huawei is really stepping up their game. i want to try and get the mate30 it looks awesome.

In March 2019, it will be my 5th years with this mate (M8). If price isn't an issue, what do you guys recommend for an upgrade from this One? I don't have any problems with it except the battery can't hold on for camera (this is the worse even when it's on 80%, it will die on seconds), can't do browsing and others apps on below 60% except on wi-fi. This beast have suffers from drop many times so I intend to upgrade with equal beast in term of durability and finally put this mate down as a music player only (love the speakers).

I'm got a stock M8 I've had for years, over which it has taken a good beating and survived. Dropped it a number of times just because of the stupid teflon-like paint coat it's got on the back, no friction. Definitely a great phone though - I'm only upgrading now because 2Gb RAM is a bit limiting these days; everything is starting to run a bit slow (big apps like google maps, facebook etc). That and the battery life has started to diminish rapidly unless it's kept in saver mode. Maybe a rooting and Android update would extend it's useful life, but for me I think this dog has had it's day.

I had this pile of trash for 1 year, it seemed in good condition... -FILLED with tons of trash software such as facebook, that refuse to be removed from the phone. Or ''kids protection''... wtf do I care? The phone is for me, I don't have kids. -Tons of programs that want to update themselves. Gotta manually go through dozens of them to disable update. -why is this a problem? I have a 250 GB SD card... no problem, right? Wrong. By default, this retarded phone wants to store EEEEEVERYTHING, every single thing possible, on the phone memory, which is 16 GB. I currently barely have 1 GB free. I have to manually go through each app to move it to SD. Some programs can be moved, some don't... like facebook. FFS -terrible signal. Either 1 bar or no bar -random SD card not detected. Gotta restart phone -terrible battery. Normal use barely lasts 4-6 hours maybe. I'm talking about surfing a browser page -the nail on the coffin is that today the phone refused to turn on.... after trying over and over and over again, I finally get it running. Now it's littered with ''I need this, I need that, I need 56 updates, I wanna update facebook etc'' bullshit that I DO NOT WANT, yet the stuff that I DO CARE ABOUT is not there. No more phone provider. WTF HAPPENED? A PHONE IS TO MAKE PHONE CALLS, NOT SPAM ME WITH USELESS APPS THAT I DON'T USE. Horrible phone, don't ever buy an HTC. Oh and one of the camera lenses is falling off around the inside.. it wasn't glued properly. Oh and another thing, just now it says ''twitter has stopped''. I don't even use twitter. You may have to replace the earpiece speaker if no sound from it and headset and loudspeaker works. I did it with mine and it works. Try *#*#3424#*#* and run diagnostics on your device.

I had the same problem 2 years back and read on the web the reason is likely because the coating of the camera is easily scratched. There is a solution to dissolve this coating with toothpaste, and then acetone, using cotton swabs to rub the lens. Sounds pretty radical but the the blur was so bad I decided it's worth a try, and the blur was completely removed.

Bought this phone used from a friend. He had it for a year, I've been using it for two years. Battery crapped out after about half a year in my possession, so after a year and a half, but I replaced the battery myself (it was cheap as hell, like 14$), and now the phone holds a charge for three to four days of only texting, calling and browsing the web. The one MAJOR problem with the phone is ghost touches, which is when the screen registers touches when you're not actually touching it. This causes you to open apps and write nonsense messages. The only fix is to replace the screen, which is expensive as hell.

Or, considering that this phone is no longer on sale and everybody who has it has been using it for at least 2 years, there is no warranty left so they are free to upgrade it to Android Oreo. There are lots of guides online which are quite easy to follow.

Recently a service was added supposed to be a reminder for the charge battery. A modal windows (i.e, you have to deal with it in PRIORITY if you want to go on with what you were doing before it pops).. Ridiculously, this service starts as soon as the battery level is 25% of the full level. It keeps on popping consuming itself some energy and contributing to the battery consumption. No way to get rid of it. Any update to resolve this? Not sure.

Still using this masterpiece for the last 2 years for second device, the only problem is the rear(bottom) camera can't focus and solved after replacing with the new one. Software number is 6.12.1540.4 (the latest). Still a great device even to compare with the new one in the market

The dual camera adds depth to your picture, which you can edit afterwards. As far as I know it's not possible to select which back camera, both camera's are also the same. So this serves a different purpose than the newer phones which have 2 different back cameras, for example a wide-angle and a regular camera.

Well, if you want it for gaming only then not really recommended cause of heating(it causes lag) and battery life(really 1.5h) but games are running quite smooth. For daily use its very good, always smooth. Very good camera quality and sound, fast 4g net and many features. Only snapchat front camera is issue

Got this in May 2014 and still going strong considering the beating I've subject it to - minor issues only. Phone dies at 35% or less and I can't figure out battery relearn (haven't tried very hard). Whenever phone dies, the device seems to ignore minor settings relating to Security screen lock and Bluetooth settings. Never cracked the screen yet after many drops. :) Top features: camera quality and sound quality, still fast as ever.

Just owned this phone from second hand shop. So far its running great, some tiny scratches on screen and back but no worries. A little bit confused about battery life and heating - 1.5h when gaming, all day when not gaming + snapchat lags. But other way this phone is great. Recommended.

My HTC one M8 crashed after 1 week of usage. I literally sent less than 12 text messages and under 1 hour of total talk on the phone. It shut down in the middle of a conversation and refuses to reboot; unless plugged into a power source. This phone SUCKS and because I live outside USA I am at a total loss.

I've had my HTC one M8 since it was released in 2014. The display is beautiful. I have found that I never use my computer any more. The batterylife without mobile data running is pretty great - 2-3 days still after 3 years. If mobile data is on and I use the phone a lot, then 5-7 hours. It is beautiful, it is quality, and I have dropped it so many times, and it does have scratches now, but the screen is not cracked. The camera let's it down the most - it takes ok pictures, but other phones can do a much better job. Never needed repair.

I've owned an M8 for two years . Wonderful phone. Just got a Mi redmi note 4 an hour ago. Fast phone. Worthless camera. Screen is so bad I can't tell you. I gave it to my eight year son. He can study Google maps wwithbit.I will use the redmi note 4 as a router in Bali since my US version of M8 doesn't receive LTE speeds. This Xiaomi thing is fast but the screen is worthless. I can not tell you how bad and blur everything looks.

HTC One M8 has faster processor than One M8s by quite a big margin. One M8s has a slightly bigger battery that you would hardly notice. If you can get M8 and M8s for the same price, I would suggest getting the M8 as it is faster and has a much greater custom ROM support. If you care about taking photos, M8 is probably better in lowlight but M8s takes higher resolution pics. It's a tough call between the two. M8 has good camera but low resolution of the pictures. Personally I think I would buy the M8.

It depends on your criteria, they are all three powerful but if you want a beautiful smartphone, chose the HCT M8; If you want a wide screen, chose the LG G3 and if you want more then a fingerprint sensor then the samsung galaxy s5.

I played with a lot of old phones and this one is a beast in all its glory. I do recommend instaling a custom rom however; I myself installed sTeam Marshmallow with Sense 8 and Dolby Atmos output. There are a few good reviews on this on yt so if you are looking for a custom rom check them out. I still haven't managed to find anything this phone doesn't do in comparison to modern day flagships. I honestly wish htc would make something as noble as this again. Take care guys.

Most likely your provider not pushing updates, mine updated just fine to 6.0 feb of last year. You could always load custom recovery & load 6.0 manually, either stock rom or custom (I'd reccomend Android Revolution HD - Stock rom modified for performance, looks exactly the same - performs MUCH better).

I loved my HTC up until I powered down before a flight and then tried to power up a few hours later. It never came back on. I've had it for 1.5 years, so I still have to pay for it even though it's quite dead. My phone company wants $350 to fix it (because I declined the warranty). No way. I'd rather wait for the Galaxy 8...and find a new phone company. Prior to my m8 I used an Evo for a few years, so I was expecting high quality. I was disappointed unfortunately. At this point, I wouldn't recommend the HTC m8.

M8 it's the ultimate phone even though mine is 2years old it works great....the rule of thumb is owners must know how to take care of their phones. If u drop it many times or drop in water don't expect phone to function well. Alot owners blame their phones this and that but you don't know what actually happen i suggest the m8 is a damn good phone

Mine died yesterday, after two years of use. It had shown signals, rapid loss of the battery, difficulties to charge the battery, over heating, and required restarts nearly daily the last few weeks. So yesterday, it froze again, and I decided to restart like usually. It never came back live again. Just totally dead. Other than that, I've been pretty happy with it the two years I had it for.

Hello everyone, I bought a HTC M8 through ALIEXPRESS, great phone but, I noticed several things that made me think this phone is not original, the phone looks like new, no scratches, according to model # at the back of the phone it is an International version but when I reset the phone into hboot phone shows VZW, that means is a Verizon phone, phone is not getting network after installing custom ROMs, tried with LP and MM, the glass that protect the phone only covers screen but according to pictures it should cover the whole front, including speakers, I don't know what to do to get network in my Country, I live in Colombia, south America, any suggestions?, thanks.

Obviously it supports jio sim . But m8 doesn't comes VoLTE , so that u cant connect a call without data on and Jio Call app . Not a big deal, Download Jio Call (Its lil annoying) make sure u dont give permissions to it, to extend ur battery life.

Unfortunately NO. :( M8 won't be getting official 7.0 . But if you root the phone, u ll get the update from Lineage OS. Its best custom os as of now from my point of view. Give it a try (At your own risk).

So every time I charge, it notifies slow charging because it requires the cable of HTC itself. Regarding your battery which takes 7 hrs charging, your battery probably has a problem? or it is poorly charging due to the charger itself, or too much running apps while on wifi, etc.

The Camera lens on the back scratch very easily on both cameras. Hard to replace, because the phone unibody. Once you got your lenses scratched up, it will take horrible pictures. The phone also lags after a while. Do the double tap to wake the phone up and sometimes you have to wait 2-3 seconds for the screen to wake up. Same with apps on your screen. Try launching the camera app and there is a 3-4 second pause. This phone is obsolete in 2016. You can get a much better performing budget phone nowadays.

your problem is due to having rooted phone. I had the same problem with an HTC one m8 a few months earlier. It was in Kitkat and couldn't update it to lollipop just because it is roted. Today I bought another one and thankfully it is unrooted and upgrading android to it as I write. Now you have two options, 1. Download custom Marshmallow/Lollipop roms and flash with it. 2. There are some methods which can make your phone in the stock unrooted conditions and you can upgrade through OTA. Google it.

It is 4g supported I get jio sim in india,but dont get mobile network. Wenn i try, phone show your sim card does not allowed a connection. Try this .. In phone dial type *#*#4636#*#* Phone information and select LTE .. Now go to settings >mobile data > But we have selected to LTE. Don't get jio netwark india. From what I've read, the phone still stacks up very well against today's flagships. Regarding the question someone asked about VOLTE, I did some research and it appears that the phone does support VOLTE (at least with the Marshmallow update).

Just bought HTC M8 International variant through OLX. When I came home and factory reset the phone,there was a app in it called "KingoRoot". I downloaded Root Checker app from the play store. It showed the phone's status as "rooted". I uninstalled the app and then it showed "not rooted". I've had this M8 for 2+ years, still running great. It's a ATT branded refurb, still running v4.4.2, paid about $300 on a eBay deal. Battery replacement will be tough-- it's under the circuit board, but there's good Youtube video on how to do it. To upgrade to v6+ or not? That's the question. It works fine now, and battery is good 1+ days with internet radio streaming....

This phone is amazing, BUT after a year of having it, it will not charge! I have bought 3 different expensive chargers and it did nothing. I have tried all the outlets in my house and every single charger I own. I even tried to charge my phone at work and in the car. It will either charge it to 11% after 5 hours (while the phone is shut off) or it will be completely dead. This phone was the best phone I ever had until the battery started acting up. So I highly recommend this phone if you are willing to buy insurance on it to immediately replace it.

Mine is silver and its looking perfect. Real life rolls royce Camera: low light king. Perfect and sharp. Front cam is awesome. Going strong and no any issuse. Display: dont worrie about it, scratch proof and strong. Colors are cool. Super sensitive, no any issuse. Battery: its lasting a full day with heavy useage. Heat little bit while playing heavy games. But its simple matter. Charger timing is good. Processor and ram: of course i call it bmw m3 gtr. Haha,, Never lags, never freazing, i play heavy games without any issue, htc ui is awesome. Every single apps are working butter smooth. Sounds and speakers: this is the htc m8 and it has a most powerfull mobile speakers and you cant teach that. Best ever phone made by HTC. It has superb build quality as well as a nice display with CGG3 protection despite being little weighty (160g). While people all around are talking about the battery backup of this phone saying its not good, I must say that smartphones these days are made heavy in terms of hardware so its obvious that it will consume more power than expected. 14hrs of battery backup is enough for it. I'm using it since a month, upgraded it to Marshmallow through official RUU Stock Rom and it's working absolutely fine and smooth. No issues has been detected yet. Battery backup is also fine even on 3G band. Just the thing is I can't just switch to GSM Only mode in Marshmallow RUU Stock Rom. I would definitely suggest others to give it a Go.

This phone was outstanding when I got it and continued to be great until the dreaded January 2015, when I was updated to Lollipop. Lollipop RUINED my phone and you can now describe the experience about "as smooth as sandpaper." The phone is incredibly laggy and also insanely hard to root if you want to do anything about it (thanks verizon). Camera sucks and so does the battery life now, it routinely shuts off at around 18%, and when it shuts off, it WON'T TURN ON WITHOUT NEEDING A FACTORY RESET. What a POS. Never again will I buy an HTC. Also, after upgrading to Marshmallow, the experience became no better and there are days when I am livid for no reason and I just realized it is because my phone is so terrible, and in order to improve my quality of life, I just went out and bought a Nexus 6. Hopefully that'll keep me sane until next July.

Performance wise, I would say no. In antutu it scores about 40'000 and that isn't up to date anymore. For example Xiaomi Redmi 3 gets 50'000 and OnePlus 2 (if you can get it and with that price) even 75'000. But for all the other things I would say yes. It gets really good update support, Android 7 is confirmed for it. It has a very good battery life. The screen is one of the best LCDs. The beautiful design with it curved brushed aluminum back is still good looking and does not look like you have an old phone which you got cheap. The dual camera is in my opinion a gimmick and some reviewers said the camera isn't good, even back in 2014. But if you can life with that it's a really good offer. The excellent boom sound speakers on the front give it fat bezels, but I think that's not that much of a disatvantage. So I would pick it. I'm only wondering why you get such a phone as a second phone :)

Exactly in a year, I started having problems with the screen. First a little part of it didn´t work, and now after 1 month almost 80% doesn´t work. The telephone company don´t even try to fix it because they say HTC´s phone spare parts are extremely difficult to get here in Peru and if they do, the repair is going to cost you almost as much as a new device. This phone was really awesome for about a year and a half. My gf and I both had the same phone. Both phones quit connecting to home routers after about 18 months, which is infuriating for someone without unlimited data. First, hers quit working with the router. My HTC worked okay at first until my contract was almost up. My rear facing camera doesn't take clear pictures and it make a buzzing sound when its on. a month later when I turned on the flashlight it made the same noise. I tried calling the company and explaining the problem but I did not get anywhere. Now I keep getting a message that I have to x out before I use any function. If you can handle all of its feature than you can say it is best among all if you cannot use its camera feature and other than you'll say it's like others . While I updated to marshmallow it took likely 28 minute . Android M has a lots of unique feature it's UI is also good . It doesnt use anynormal mp...its 4up (ultra pixel) makes rear camera able to capture 300% more light than any normal camera And this 4mp(4up) is better than 5mp selfie in real life Htc one m8 has Great camera in low light and if you dont crop or zoom your photos you will be fine with this 4up camera and make sure using manual mode in low light to get the best shot The duo rear camera setup for capture 3D Images and ufouces and depth of field But duo camera setup isnt that big deal...

Since I upgraded I can't access my settings-apps.it just spins and never loads.spent an hour plus with HTC tech and was told to redo my phone to factory reset.I wouldn't do it if I had a choice.not enough changes to matter much anyway.not a fan anymore. One last thing: Htc one m8 has great camera in low light Cuz it uses Ultra pixel technology But when people come to low light they take blury photos the reason is they dont use manual mod in low light photos I used manual mod in low light and it took alot better photos compared in low light auto mod Sometimes try increase photos sharpness to +1 by htc gallery will make photo looks even better! Ive never tried M8 eye but htc cameras usually sux,even M8 eye has 13mp but doesnt perform like acctual 13mp like desire eye-M8s their 13mp bad sometimes M8 with 4mp (ultra pixel technology) beats these 13mp Also some people complain about m8s-m8 eye zoomed washed out selfie photos (M8 doesnt have this problem) If you dont crop your photos you will be fine with Htc One M8 camera.

I love love loved my LG3 until there was an software update out of nowhere and everything changed. It started shutting off when taking picture. Did factory reset and now it's worse. Can't use at all unless plugged in. Battery is good. Had that diagnosed. What a shame. It has been a great phone for the price! I'm sure the LG4 is even better

It took about 6 weeks to even sell it with the price I asked, which was only a bit over 200 euros. It's not really worth the money, so it's not a surprise that selling it was hard. I just got this phone today because my lg g3 started acting up the other day: battery all drained within a few hours, turning off frequently, WiFi stuck in "turning on position", etc. I already miss my lg g3. This phone (HTC one) has a terrible camera (4mp) worse than my iPhone4 (5mp), which is difficult to believe. So far the battery seems to have an okay life and definitely charges faster than my lg g3. But the features seem to be lacking because there isn't much in a way of customization compared to lg g3. I would say go with this phone if you want an easy to use, less complicated phone to run basic functions.

I've had some pretty serious problems with this phone. My back camera randomly stopped working and would just shut down if I tried to start the camera app. I had dropped my phone so HTC/Bell wouldn't repair or replace. Meanwhile, I have recently discovered that if I go into an app like Instagram or Snapchat my camera works...but is upside down. It is bizarre. I actually really like the functionality and apps on the phone, the hardware just poses a bit of an issue.

The camera is good, take clear pictures, great editing option. even it is only 4 megapixel, but the quality is even better than some 8 or 13 megapixel phone. Just only it doesn't focus so well with the near thing and not able to adjust brightness like iphone.

I've been using the M7 for a year & a half, I can definitely say the same. Got my phone replaced when I first bought it cause it had the purple tint issue. Local shop replaced the entire handset no cost & since then it's worked like a rebel. Barely any lag, cameras just fine, games run well, battery has gone down a bit but that's quite expected with my heavy usage & daily charge. I'm considering moving to the M8 for the extra battery life, performance & specs bump up, louder music I've seen my mates M8 & its the loudest phone on the market, even outclssses my decently loud M7 & of course expendable storage. Reckon it's worth the upgrade?

i don't own this phone, but if you take a look at the review there are camera samples provided which might give you an idea of what to expect. guessing from those, the pictures definitely look sufficient for a quick snapshot with friends or something, to capture a moment. but if you're into artistic photography and/or interested in printing the photos you make, this phone probably won't cut it

htc ONE M8 is better than M8 EYE or Galaxy S5, the M8 eye's secundary camera not work correctly, and the touchwizz of the S5 is very bad, you'll have lag ina short time because of it.I have the normal M8 and believe me, this phone is amazing. :)

I have the Galaxy S5 mini, husband has the htc one m8. After a year, I'm ready to get rid of mine. The gps on it sucks, big time. I play a location based game (Munzee) and it always puts me over a mile away, even when I recalibrate it, close all windows etc. The husband usually has no problem getting a good signal. It matters a lot when you're playing that game. Even the Munzee employees agreed I needed a new phone after attempting about 10x to capture an event munzee. I have HTC One M8 running perfectly fine on MM, not sure it might be your network? Mine works in Canada with Fido Network and works flawlessly. Same applied when I used to run it with LP. After I upgraded to MM no problems at all, it's blazing fast no lags, no problems.

Welcoming him to the pain of the worst electronic device i have ever bought. i once bought a desktop vacuum for £1 and it didn't work but it had a light that i took out and used for something else. So that was still better than the HTC one M8. it's fagile, slow, camera sucks screen is dull, it fails at almost every function from wifi drops, call failures, failing to recognise a sim card and/or micro sd, crashes, typing lag, randomly skipping songs, headphone jack is dodgy and much more.

I can belive i everything except batery life,i have z3 and z3 have better batery life,but batery life depends how you use the phone,with normal use i can get 2 days,but sometime i charge phone twice a day... People can say they play games all day on the phone etc,but its not the same if you play asphalt 8 or something like flappy bird,ui probably use more power then some games...

I wouldn't get this phone just for the camera. I have it and i don't take a lot of pictures, but when i do they are decent. But if you want better quality pictures i wouldn't get this phone. Especially since it can't take in all the color's and light at once. You'll have to watch a couple youtube reviews about the phone if you are looking to get it. But if you don't care about the quality, then go for it.

I been Using this phone since April 2014. The only complaint I have is the camera. I think the camara really sucks. Last summer I got tired of the HTC sence and I switch to CyanogenMod 12. If you dont care about the pictures , go for it.

The HTC One m8 has a little bit of lag and it is slow, and the camera on this phone sucks. The battery life is also really bad. If you just have the phone sitting not being used with the screen locked it will still die within a few hours. I still love the phone but it also overheats a little bit and is very slippery. my m8's performance is a beast.. i only encounter lag when im using adblock browser(minor lag) but in google chrome there is no lag at all.. super fast phone.. no problem in battery, will last a full day, sometimes 2 days depending on usage.. i think you wont regret this phone.. :)

Just want to share my experience on my htc one m8.. before i upgrade my os from lollipop, i only got 50000+ score on antutu benchmark.. now that i upgrade my os to marshmallow my score in antutu is 71622.. higher that lg g4.. htc one m8 in marshmallow is the best..

Answer to you RAHMANTA, { 1 } go to the setting and open your HTC Sence and re-register it again if you have before and if not then you have to register it first and manually syncrunize. { 2 } go to setting scroll down to Account, open the syncronize and run it manually.

I had no performance problems on my M8 while I owned it, but it did get almost burning hot a few times. A hot aluminum phone isn't really nice to hold in a hand. Battery life was okay (about 3-4 hours SoT usually), but my Nexus 6 is somehow much better - I easily get about 1-2 hours more Screen-on Time. Maximum so far 6 hours, on my M8 the best one was only about 5 hours and it has a much smaller screen (and battery, sure). Screen is good, but unfortunately way too small for the device footprint. The LG G3 has much bigger screen and isn't even a bigger device! If you know you won't need your phone as a camera and you accept the huge bezels, then it might be okay. I personally wasn't impressed and sold my M8. And I think the Marshmallow-update was the last big one for this phone, so for newer Android-versions you would need to root and flash those yourself. Read the GSM Arena comparison between these 2 phones, it might help you choose the right phone for you.

The low MP count shows as blurry details in pictures - do not even think about cropping on zooming in without total disappointment. If you live in a dark cave, it's okay-ish for random pictures that you only need to keep on your phone. As a portable music player for headphones or external amp, this is a good device due to the flawless audio chip.

Hey man ...i have the htc one m8 and have been using it for more than a year now...and i still love my fon....best android fon i have used ...previously used galaxy note....and this one is way way better....the perfect size and dont worry about lag on this one...till now my fon hasent given me any troubles...and the camera does click decent pics even if it isnt as good as g3 ....my friend whu had a g3 has been having several troubles with it...got it repaired twice...but it is a decent fon...go chk both before u buy...i wud personally suggest m8 ...p.s get the gunmetal grey

Updated this from sense 6 to sense 7 and android 5.1 to android 6 on tuesday. I was getting around 6 and half hours screen on time , draining roughly 15% per every one hour of screen on time. which is very good .... since the update the phone heats up more and the battery life is decreased greatly . Same here today i looked up for internet pass through but could not find it. We all should shoot mail to HTC . I am awe stuck how can they remove such a nice feature from marshmallow. The marshmallow update is actually pretty fast. I have had it now for a week, sense 7 transitions are more quicker, apps which were previously hanging are now more stable. Battery life has substantially increased too, now going for longer hours and the heating of the chasis has greatly reduced, almost unnoticeable. I think this update has done well for the M8.

you would find usb tethering in usb connection settings when you would connect your mobile via usb to your pc there you can change from charing, file transfer, usb tethering, or mirror link.

Hi, for me its camera just perfect. 4 ultrapixels are just amazing much better than 13mp or 16mp. It really captures the real time colours and also the depth of the image is good. Now, when it comes to ultrapixel it works the best in dark, no current smartphone camera can stand in darkness in front of m8. anf finally, the duo camera gives the dslr effect which is also something other companies dont give. So, if you are not fan of croping the images or zooing them then m8 camera is the best camera in todays market :)

im huge fan of htc m8 and i do believe that it is still the best android phone out there, but after updating to android M, it has destroyed its battery. before update my m8 lasted for 2 days on single charge but after updating to marshmallow it hardly lasts a single day. I dont know, what they have done to this firmware, where as google claims that marshmallow update is all about good battery life. but in my case my m8 battery just got pathetic after update :(

I have never in my life had so much trouble with a phone like I have with this one. I'm on my third phone already and it's only been a year. Everytime it is the same problem: the battery. It's ridiculous and when time for my upgrade I highly doubt I will ever get another htc. This was the first and last time I would get an htc phone.

I have already HTC m8 I never back to Verizon for replacement phone. That company I totally b...s... In my older seven mouth old phone camera stop to work.I caled to claim dept. Verizon for replacement broken phone. After week he send me another also broken phone HTC one 8m. I have two issue on them: speaker stop to work after one week of use this phone. Phone after 10 min used time is overheating, no one can ware them on hands longer like short moment. I complain that to claim dept. Verizon service man ignorme and promes call back for resold my problems.... He forgot propably....no answare second week. I never again come to Verizon store for new phone and he's service, my was cost about 600$.....

i just got the marshmellow update 3 days ago, and the battery really really sucks. i know that it takes time for the software to adjust to get better (hopefully) but the standby time really is bad it goes down like 10% in 1 hour of stand by (screen off) with wifi on and mobile data turned off with strong cell reception, it lags just slightly but its unnoticeable. battery optimization takes a long time to activate that i'm thinking that it wont optimize. i personally think it's the apps that needs updating. if anyone is thinking to update, please wait a little bit longer for either bug fixes or something.

Hello everybody here .... I am going to buy a new phone WITH IN 2-3 days and I am considering to buy HTC ONE M8,LG G3. I just need your opinion and suggestions....I have done a lot research on both phones but I am not able not figure out which one is good for me.... I am just confused ... Based on my research HTC ONE M8 DISPLAY (better contrast,brightness,sunlight legibility than G3), Built Quality (90% metal or aluminum),Speaker (stereo front facing), Better Performance (Due to 1080p resolution and sense ui), Better Battery than LG G3 (Due to 1080p screen) CAMERA (Totally crap, both in photos and video department) On the other hand LG G3.... Display (quad HD (2K),sharper but low contrast,brightness and sunlight legibility than HTC ONE M8 ),Built Quality (plastic),and I have recently read on this forum and other forums about self cracking of casing.Performance (due to quad HD display the phone tends to heat and lags sometimes)Battery and due the 2K display it battery timing is also not so good, CAMERA it is way better than ONE M8... my priority is.... DESIGN>BUILD QUALITY>DURABILITY>PERFORMANCE>BATTERY&­gt;CAMERA>MULTIMEDIA I know there is LG 4 but right now it is out of my budget,and hate SAMSUNG AMOLEDs Burn in... XPERIA Z3 is also there but its glass body is fragile..... and there is no value of XPERIA Z3 here in my region and it is hard to find its accessories like screen protectors cases e.t.c so guys help me which one is good for at least 2years....your help and opinion will highly appreciated.

Updated mine to marshmallow. The battery life and standby times improved significantly. But after few days of usage, battery started draining like crazy (went to sleep with 100% an woke and found it to be less than 60%). So i did a factory reset and then everything became ok, got exceptional battery life. Then again, after few weeks without any problem, the problem returned. Woke up in the morning and battery drained from 100 to 43%.

i downloaded the Marshmallow 6 its a waste of time it didn't add that much just the sense 7 and is already the same as the updated sense 6 sound of headphones is lower i don't know why they did that and some bugs as the ringtone get back to default then u set it again and somethings like that but all in all its ok but wasted like 2 hours and didn't get that much or as i expected it to be

After updating the 6.0 update. I kind of hate my phone its slower than before but the antutu benchmarks over 65k. 5.0.1 was much better than this 6.0. Everything i feel is slow the keyboard, the camera, the everything. I don like as before to use my phone like before. Its kind of nothing in this update neither the battery lasts nor there are any peaceful stories. I was quite more happy at 5.0.1 than the 6.0. I am searching way to revert back. Overall i'm not satisfies with the update. 5.0.1 in m8 was for me very unique than others. After the update it lost the uniqueness for me :(
