Its battery backup very bad. If battery 100% n swtchoff mode it will not start on after 6 hrs it will start only or after recharge. It is detained when switch off mode. I want changed it if compny launched any schime. Very bad experience. Except battery backup it is good.

im not using original headphones. i have philips neck band headphones and fm radio working fine with these headphones. i was also tested with micromax headphones fm is working fine. for the 1st update you need wifi. you can change your sim card to other phone and turn on wifihotspot.after that you can use your mobile net for update.

if you are facing any problem regarding microsoft account or some of your aaps are missing then dont worry. Aaps like skype, here maps, here drive perhaps are crashed or the icons of same aaps are not showing. then you dont need any activation key. just reset your phone in about settings. then create a new account or sign in with former one.now your device is ready to go.

i think you need to go and ask them for activation key or send an email to lava care center they will help. you need to flash os again with activation key which is available on xda firmware website. instructions was given there also gsm hosting site also have some useful information.

Actually I gave lava care to update the version. But they reinstalled the original version again. Now when I am trying to sign in or create a new account it's showing we can't activate your phone and giving an error code.

Microsoft sucks, it gave us update by mistake and now the phone battery is almost useless on win 0. Microsoft will not officially update lava win1 to windows 10 neither it is releasing tool for us to go back to windows 8. The developers are bunch of jokers playing with our valuable money. lot of peoples having this problem. they are reinstalling the original software. for update you have to do it yourself with Wi-Fi. Microsoft will only give activation key for lumia phones. they will never care about other brands so if you want activation key then you have start requesting the microsoft. i have seen an activation key file while searching for lava iris win 1 stock rom then i find stock rom on xda firmwares. in that stock rom i saw activation key so give it a try by following the instructions. otherwise you can try developer unlock but i don't know that will work without microsoft account.

yes it will connect to any Wi-Fi hotspot. you need high-speed internet connection to update. battery saver should be turned off while updating. leave at least 1gb space on your internal storage before updating. if you doesn't care about apps then reset your phone after updating. once you updated the update will never delete even after resting. this will make your phone much smoother.

Developer unlock doesn't cause any problem to your phone. you can lock your device at any time. for our device drivers are main problem. you need windows 7 computer to do this. 1st install windows phone recovery tool. the installation is bit tougher try google for wprt installation. after successfully installed the wprt your phone drivers will be installed. to verify that go to start type device on search bar you will see device manager. on device manager you will see lava iris or windows phone after connecting your phone. if you see yellow colour exclamation mark then your drivers was not installed. there is an another easy method available google for Chinese tool for windows phone 8.1 then download and install. this tool will not work with our phone but this will provide drivers for our phone. after installation completes close the program if running then go to device manager after connecting your mobile. now you wil see 3 yellow colour exclamation marks on lava. right click select update driver select manually install driver. this will open window to select driver location. now go to c>program files x86 > go to bottom you will see chinese folder. select that folder and click ok then clik next a warning window will open click the check box then click ok or allow. do the same process for remaining two marks but only two drivers will install successfully. that is enough for unlocking. now download windows phone 8.1 sdk tools lite. size approximately 96mb. now you need student developer account. do google search for student developer account and register for student developer account. this will ask for your student id. you can provide any document like fee receipt,id card photo,anything they will accept. you will get your account in 2-5 days. you will get mail to your gmail that your account is activated. then open developer registration on windows phone sdk tools lite by connecting your mobile. make sure that your mobile on home screen and set the screen lock time to 10mins. now hit register that will ask for your developer account mail id and password. provide those details and select sigin in after this it will show windows phone connected then it will show error message don't worry your device is unlocked. to verify that close the application disconnect the phone from computer then reconnect open developer registration tool it will show you device is unlocked for development and give you option to unregister to relock your device. just close that application. you need to connect internet on both pc and phone while doing this. now do google search for cracked xaps for windows phone 8.1 you will get lot of cracked games and apps. download those xaps open application deployer hit browser select xap you want to install. note: your phone should be screen unlocked during deploying apps and must be at home screen and set the screen timeout 30 for large games like hitman go,gta make sure you have atleast 2gb free space while installing large game coz hitman need 1.5gb but it runs very smooth. you don't need to connect internet while deploying apps.you can only install two apps with this method. if u want some more then move those deployed two apps to sd card then switch off the phone remove sd card turn it on again deploy two more apps turn it off insert sd card move those two apps to sd card switch off again remove sd card turn it on again deploy two apps. bit complicated but you can get more from your phone. i have done this on many phones everything works fine.

yes but windows 8.1 update 2 more than enough for our device. because windows 10 has lot of features. lot of powerful lumia devices facing issues like slow performance and battery draining. so by comparing with those devices our mobile will die for sure. even there is a chance like reducing the features and release the windows 10 update but it will definitely impact the battery performance. even i was thinking to go back to lava iris stock rom windows 8.1 without updates because battery performance was far better while comparing with wp update 2. in the beginning i got 1 and half day on normal usage now it was reduced to 18 hours. FYI windows 10 update will release on december for selected 10 lumia devices then for other lumias on february. if we are lucky we will get it on end of the next year. the best thing i can do for our device is developer unlock so we can side load paid apps and games. try hitman go and lara croft relic run nd lara croft go

our mobile is not dual standby so one sim will turn of while using other so better to use missed call alert from your network provider. FYI our mobiles give better performance with single sim. if you use 3g with dual sim definitely u will face huge network connectivity problem.

for the 1st update you definitely need a wifi. you can change your sim card into another mobile then turn on hotspot now turn on wifi on your mobile then update will download. you must have 3g data. if you use 2g data the update will show error in the middle of download and starts again from the beginning.

Yahoooooo! guys believe me i got windows 10 technical preview update to day morning. hurray! all you have to do is unlock your mobile using by registering as developer after that login on app studio now download preview for developers sign in using your developer account thats it you will get update for windows 10. kepp at least 2gb free space on your internal storage before downloading update. To extend the battery life in your mobile follow these instructions. go to start theme and turn off more tiles. do not keep any live tile on home screen. if you want that live tile the simple reduce the size of the tile by long press. download complete black colour wallpaper then go to start nd theme choose photo select the black colour photo. black colour background will reduce the battery usage. uninstall unnecessary apps. you can uninstall some pre installed apps also. turn off your mobile data while playing game this will reduce battery heating. if u set flight mode while playing that will be even better. turn off location,wifi sense. u can turn off notifications for incoming text messages also. use always allowed option only for whatsapp like apps and turn off background running on battery saver and left it always turn on. try to surf web with speed mode on uc browser. this will save lots of data also battery too. ur phone will heat up while not using speed mode. speed mode will reduce the brightness nd battery usage. The Phone is good, quite hardy, and support most of apps, but still windows 8.1, I mean this phone is far behind than android phones, 1) This phone does not have any file manager, so you can not view anything and you cant see any folder 2) the phone is lacking of USB tethering i.e you can not share internet in pc via usb. 3) Does not support any third party apps. The good thing is that its faster and safer.. Though I prefer Android, coz Its more user friendly...

Hey guys I am feeling very bad that I didn't get any reply to my question that how to know out of 1 gb ram how much is being used and how much is free.i feel lonely and sad bcoz I did not got any reply.I have three more questions 1.is there any effective app in windows phone store to know the ram capacity and ram cleaning option.(except ram optimizer and ram master pro,becoz I found only these two app and both were fake app) 2.what are temporary files shown in storage sense. 3.i had to reset my Irish win 1 due to an important reason. But after resetting I can open my Microsoft account with mobile data.there fore I can't download a single app from wp store. This is my first review after two months usage, this is really awasome phone. Cool features, good battery backup(i am low volume user for me its coming almost 5 days with dual sim, daily 10 to 15 mins calls, playing games, wifi, music), good camera (back is fine and superb on good lighting, average on night, front is ok at this price tag),very very light heating while playing games, never hanged, music player is very ordinary, good speed even some of the application running background, low earpiece volume, good touch responsive, ring is loud and clear, good in box accessories, build quiality is very good. Windows won't consume more battery even some of the applications in open state. Overall very very good phone (best phone) even they can sell it more than Rs 7000/- Anyone plan to buy this don't thing or hear anything go staright away, you will realize made correct choice.

Very simple. Settings -> Ringtones+sounds. Remember, all ringtone files must be in 'Ringtones' folder of Internal memory. In case you have them anywhere else, copy to ringtones folder using 'Files' file manager (or any other file manager).

I am using Lava Iris Win1 since last 8 days. Battery back up is good. Also you get good quality pic and video shoot. OS is user friendly but slightly less if you compare with Android. Internet surfing is very good in 3g. You can access FB,Twitter and Wahtsap in finger tips. But the FB thread are less. You can find little msg in page. Receiving voice is low. Network receiving is also poor in comparison to other phone. Touch quality is not upto mark. But all total a good phone in affordable price.
