Audio quality is not always bad. It gets bad if u answer a call while listening music. Its actually a bug in jelly bean update. There is no fix to that currently. But temporary fix is restarting the phone.

This phone will not be updated not because of Htc but because of Qualcomm,who dosent want to release drivers for 4.2.2 JB, and without those drivers HTC cannot make a kernel for the newer version of android in this phone !

Hi. i tried reseting it twice. even went to the service center. they kept it for 15 days and returned. the problem restarted within few hours again. i bought a new sim and even this dint solved the problem. i did notice one thing that if i put it into airplane mode, then the flickering stops. but that makes the phone useless. any suggestions.??

Thanks for your reply, but I think I faced the problem only with stock music player, google music app runs fine, HTC does need to take care about these things if they are adding separate beats audio profile, they should know that using micro phone during a call should not interfere with beats audio profile, it cracks the sound quality on my phone after answering call

i'll have to say that this is a conflict between two different apps trying to use your earphones at the same time... unfortunately i don't have a solution but to delete the other app or change the setting of it if there is anything. Mostly likely it'll b a music player... for me it was n7player (two times) on HTC Desire V

If you want more ram on your device try homo launcher hd and force stop htc sense from all apps options in settings, if you don't want to root your device, this launcher gives stock android feel with many customization options. The advantage is the free ram increased from 300 in to 450 mb.what it also improved benchmarks score, quadrant from 4200 to 4450 without power saving mode. Only con you will miss the htc widgets but that is acceptable for more performance.

I m facing problem with beats audio profile, once I talk someone with my earphones,whenever I play music, it cracks at high bass level making it noisy rather than bass, I restart the phone and bass becomes normal, but the problem starts when I use earphones for calls. Problem started with Jelly bean, I tried reset and doesn't solve. I m 100 percent sure it is because of separate beats audio profile introduced in sense 4+, has anybody experienced the same problem? I faced some problem with beats audio, but when I restarted the phone it was solved, your camera problem seems to be serious try to reset the device and check if it works, if not just call htc customer care, I think something went wrong while you were downloading update, sometimes happens because of slow connection, the download pauses and when gets restarted, leads to corruption.

i got my JB update but after the update im facing some issues, beats audio got corrupted, music without beats audio is perfect... when i switching to beats audio ON lot of disturbance and audio is like breaking.. and camera is getting stuck to last image which been captured.... hav to close camera and relaunch it to get back a new shot... do anyone having same issues... how to resolve this issues...!!!

Yes in India all the HTC phones are without carrier contract and we got jellybean , try to check manually by restarting the phone and checking updates, else download cid getter app to see cid number of your phone, and try to check whether users having that cid no phones got jellybean or not, else reply to this post with your cid no, I will try to help you out

Benchmark score improved from 4100 to 4300, quadrant 5.power management feature 6. Improved keyboard, I like it 7.notification bar with more space 8.beats audio- now it delivers super bass with normal headphone , my ears love beats ,personally the best for me 9.Google now 10. I want to know about the display/screen of HTC One S. Isn't it a bit yellowish in color (the whole screen). When you look at your phone (white background) in normal position, the whole screen looks a bit yellowish, but when you tilt it backward or forward the white screen looks white. HTC One S C2 is an excellent phone. Initially had some sound issues but with 4.04 update they are much less pronounced. Wifi connectivity is not an issue at all. Logs in very securely and instantly. Battery life can be increased significantly by installing advanced task killer by ReChild from google playstore.Restart phone once daily to prevent memory clutter. The phone will remain fast. Keep wifi "on" only when necessary and so also 3G. Keep phone on GSM and only when using net use WCDMA.Your bill will also be less and battery will be conserved. Keep settings of advance task killer to suit your requirements. Display is excellent. Video quality excellent.Screen is excellent uses less power also. Touch very good.Key board was cramped initially but one gets used to it. Phone data can be backed up on a sd card created on board phone memory. Camera is very fast and gives excellent pictures. Color originality is not the best by the camera. That is for all digital cameras. But the colours are very bright. Very sturdy set. Won't scratch with normal use. Now the price is also attractive. Waiting for JB update. India

That was due to the lack of S4 processors from Qualcomm. In their home market (Taiwan) also they have launched the HTC One S C2 model only. They haven't singled out a particular per se. But i do agree that they should have made it more clear that the asian markets are not getting the S4 processors. They also kept the prices same as the HTC One S (US model) to make us overlook. But here in India, the prices have dropped significantly and is now priced the same as Galaxy S2 which IMO is a fair deal !!

Have it for a two months now. Great device if i forget about what HTC did. They turned me against their products with such behaviour. Users are on the last place to HTC, after several e-mails no one answered, etc... I had several HTC-s, but this will be probably my last one. To cripple the phone like that and sell it at the same price as the S4 is just criminal, and smack on the users which are not stupid as they would like it.

I ordered it in Poland, I thought specs, especially chipset is worth attention. Then i read about how they equipped it for some EU regions (including Poland) with older S3. In addition I read about this homescreen problem... Result? when package came, i didnt pick it up and return. All the tests over the internet are Krait, its hard to find any information about S3... Any comparision... HTC will go down pretty fast with that kind of politics...

I,ve been using it for about 2 months now. In indonesia it cost around usd 550. Superb built quality much better than my old samsung galaxy s, fast and smooth, Most apps run really well, although I experienced a wierd bubbling sound when playing music through poweramp With htc beat audio Turned on using standard earphones, screen is ok, Camera is Just one of the best, Connectivity (signal receiver) is not as good as samsung but battery life is the real downfall it drains quick, I think my 3 years old galaxy s still could do better interm of battery life, this htc could only stands for 6 to 8 hours with my daily usage. i will go for motorolla rarz maxx for my next phone, battery life is essential.

battery issue, that one im not really sure, but the death grip is because HTC set the usable signal to a lower than usual number, it was already fixed in my Desire S by using custom patch (mine is rooted) to set the number higher and now it's all okay. So the processor (the Snapdragon S3) has nothing to do with the death grip.

There is a way to reconnaise if it is S4 or S3. On the package, there is the processor ID: 520e stands for the krait while 560e stands for the S3. I have both (krait was sadly crashed to the bone..bwaaaa) and the S3...not even the update to the 4.0.4...unbelievable.....really....

This is real bummer phone. The price is the same as Krait model, but the specs are lower and there is no way one can distinguish the two (S3 and S4) unless you run some tests. I got it and I feel cheated. It is sold as "One S" and no C2 or anything to recognize what you are actually getting! I even called HTC to ask about it and they told me that this is a regular HTC One S model, with dual core cpu and some possible HW design changes HW but with no impact on user experience. Yeah, right! Boooo HTC!

Avoid buying this phone , HTC One S with 1.5 Ghz is much better. This one is available in India and Montenegro and some other countries. It isnt even cheeper much , so it doesnt deserve its price. HTC One S with Krait processor ALL THE WAY :D
