I bought this phone in june 2012 , this was my first android phone & i used whatsapp for the very first time . The shopkeeper mislead me at the time of purchase , he said that the phone memory is 4gb , but when i start using the phone i found less than a gb was available for use. It still working with some bug in the software. Ram is just to low after update. One thing 720p playback is something on this devices Really that 3.7 inch display is killing clear from every angle I love this phone songs on my phone which is not alot if you are going for a good phone that will last forever this aint for you, also the glass/screen on it is very VERY VERY brittle and breakable then again it is an older phone and the wifi on it decides not to work without the back piece a good way to fix this problem is take a piece of aluminum foil and some tape and just take the 2 receptors and put the foil across them both and then tape them together on the back and boom wifi without the back of the phone and cases are hard to find i get you can find them online but it isnt really that good of cases as i said up above the wifi stops working after awhile with this *DISCLAIMER* if you put the aluminum foil on the back to connect the 2 receptors you will slowly kill your phone and it will over heat but i couldn't find a new back piece online so i just You need to see what's running in the background on it. It's not a super-machine, but mine is stable, dependable, and used daily - for years. And strangely, the camera beats all my other devices (3 other Android devices - two newer tablets, and one "phone" - also never activated). My only complaints are that I can't see the screen very well now-a-days, and 512MB of RAM doesn't go very far. Still, for what I use it for, it's the rock.and good for backup phone enough for normal use

Had it for 3 years. Battery life sucks big time. I seldom use it for calls; don't have data plan. I just use it for it's phone number (paired with tablet). The battery lasts 5 hours--maybe. Useless phone IMO.

When the phone does slow down every so often. DO THIS.....Go to settings -- apps. -- running -- and one by one tap everything in the list except 'settings' and 'HTC sense input'....(if you have "whatsapp" or similar don't touch that). And then push "stop" . Slowly the list will shrink and the phone will speed up quite considerably. Some Google play services will reappear in the list, these cannot be stopped, so ignore them. It's a great phone but a small RAM and some apps always stay open in the background on every phone, which sucks.

I have this phone more then three years and it is not best experience to me, after 6 months off use mi signals go off and i send it to service under warranty, ofc i tried system reset before that and every other option suggested on forums but id didn't help. After receiving device from the service they said it was "fixed" and that i have to install only apps from android market (gogle play) and be careful what to install. I have to say that i didn't install apps out off android market actually i installed maybe 3 app overall and any game. After two weeks i noticed that my phone wont connect at 3g network. Then i make reset to factory settings and after that the old problem was back, most of the time did not have signal. Then send it again to service and they bring it back to me with explanation that they changed main board and the phone have new IMEI number (they said it is actually "new phone"). After that it have no signal problem but it was very laggy and slow, my contacts and messages sometimes opens 5 MINUTES after factory reset, missed call displays after 20 minutes or wont display at all, then i decided to put custom ROM and custom kernel, it was great first two weeks (except camera quality is very bad with 3 party camera apps) then it starts with problems, unable to unlock (S2W function, nor with hardware key) , battery drain problem, i have minimum extra apps (android market, whatsapp,) then i decided to go back to stock kernel and stock ROM, after that i lost my signal again, this time don't have warranty any more, so i find on forum that when you change mobile network setting to "just GSM" not "GSM/WCDMA autom" it fix signal problem and it worked for me except now i don't have 3g and H mobile network but at last mi phone work as phone (mesages, calls). Also facebook app killing my phone so i don't use it, i have gmail app and whatsapp, hangout app, i reduced sync apps also and decide to manual upgrade apps (gogle play). Also my battery life increase by 30% (probably because WCDMA was off). Hopes someone helps my experience, sorry about my bad English. Greetings from Croatia

Okay, - So, I have been reading through a lot of the comments on here about how this HTC One V phone is the phone to get. - Well, maybe just maybe there is a chance that all you HTC lovers out there can help me possible resolve an on going issue with the HTC One V phone. - I have been using my phone (HTC One V) for about almost 6 months now and I've had nothing but problems with it. - I've had the phone randomly crash on me just from simply sending a text, I've been having trouble getting the phone to read a SD Card with just music on it and when it does read it, it says error Blank SD Card. :/ I've went out and bought many new SD Cards and tried to format it to the phone and Nope its says "Error, Blank SD Card." But I have learned to get over that little issue and now all of a sudden my phone decides to literally go BAZERK. I try to answer a text and I get typing few words in and suddenly it puts in tons and tons of periods, comas, brackets etc. and then just all of sudden the text message deletes itself and then repeat. Any suggestions on what to possible do? Maybe Factory Reset?

I've had my HTC One V for around 3 years now. This WAS an excellent phone and is still a solid handset, really well built. Performance in the last year or so has dropped so I don't think it's up to today's tasks anymore. I'm going to swap for it a waterproof Sony M4 and I'll report on it in another 3 years!!

The phone had lasted me 3 years no scratches or cracks in screen. I did have an otter box for it. Yes the phone might be slow but it definitely did its job. It was my first HTC and I really like there products. I'm moving onto the HTC Desire 816. For this phones time it was a good reliable phone :)

Had it for above 2 years it has many issues but the build quality is excellent even better than some today's phones. It survived atleast 50 drops and even gone in the bath tub for a few times as well but still it's doing fine with my little brother for almost half a year. But I won't advice someone to by this, it's performance make you feel like your in stone age.

I agree with you, I made the big mistake in buying it in the first, I hate this mobile so much I wouldn't give it to my enemy. Very bad battery life, I also don't like the way the batter is encased in the mobile and you can't get access to it. Also you can't extend the memory. If your thinking of getting this sorry excuse of a mobile I'd look somewhere else, like a Samsung or even a Apple phone.

One of the Worst Phone I say till now is HTC one V. Past two years I am using this phone. It will not display Contacts till 20 to 25 mins after u select phone book option. Miss calls will not be visible for more that 15 to to 20 mins after getting u a miss call. Now I am facing new problem that I am not able to call . if u dial any number after 5 mins call is going. I am facing so many problem I am facing in this phone. Better not to take this phone instead u can take 1000 rs mobile

I have become increasingly disappointed with my HTC One V to the point where I've replaced it. The battery doesn't last, can't get reception & when I have a mobile connection it won't connect!!! I will be sad to say goodbye to the camera tho! Can't beat the camera in clear, perfect color photos! Wish there was a way I could give it back to HTC & have them fix it :-(

Hangs very rapidly.. Can't handle applications like games, opera mini,whatsapp,etc. Screen blackout on making a call and RAM is too damn low. Touch and Camera is nice. Messaging is OK.Battery consumption is also high and sometimes it becomes too damn hot to handle and it often scared me...!!

Its very slow. I have only 3 or 4 applications installed on it. It gets stuck frequently. If i move the phone while recording, the video gets blurred for the next 5-10s. Waste of money

I've been using HTC one v since 2.5 years..its too slow and processor is very low....even sticks in calling also...it heats while cellular data is on...in 18000 processor should be of minimum snapdragon 400 ...there is a problem of Whatsaap in every HTC phones.....when I turn on the Whatsaap it gets closed ane many times I've to install new one....I recommend don't buy this phone.......

Dear All Htc One V users. I have also been using this phone from past two years and I'm also facing the same problem. But if you root your phone, then this phone is very powerful, you get increased battery life, increased RAM speed ,reduction in heating problem, and works very smooth. Warning ⚠ -- before rooting your phone you should be very careful because if you make small mistake and skipped one step while rooting you phone say bye bye to your phone. Check on you tube for more details.

Worst phone ever, don't buy it,contact loading too long,messages loading too long,even after factory reset nothings changed.In first year send it two times on service(T-mobile) because i didn't have signal and nobody cant call me.And they said it is my mistake to having too much applications (i have maybe 5 apps and none of them was game or etc.) and they "clean up and update" my system.After some time problems goes back,then i send it again.They changed motherboard and device got new IMEI number,it is whole new phone with old case and display. Even after that my phone have lagging,contact and messaging problems but i didn't have any more energy to sending on service and waiting it to goes back.It is about three years that i bothering with this phone (i am extremely patient guy) now i want to sell it but who need extremely slow phone? I have had my HTC oneV for about two years and i have reset it four times in the last two weeks. The cell signal will cut out, it will freeze for hours, it will become very slow. I am not happy with my phone at all and i am hoping to get an Iphone soon to replace the horrible ohone. Never buying an HTC again.

Mine is 2 years old and it also even after factory reset did not speed up at all. Not only that but now it only charges when plugged into the computer as a USB drive. The wall USB charger is not working. I have tried 3 of them which can charge my Nokia Lumia without a problem.

clean all the junk files using clean master.....if still you are facing the problems like phone hanging and etc., take all your important data out of your phone, your SIM, and memory card and switch to factory reset....it will boost your phone speed by turning it into all new....please do not forget to save your data by transferring it to your laptop or desktop while applying this. otherwise you will loose all your important data.

Bitter experience in HTC one V. Very often the screen goes black when dialing and most of the apps are not responding.

The two problems that really bug me about this phone: 1: When you select a number from the dialler, the screen actually goes black. If you selected the number in error, then you have no way of cancelling the call. It also makes it difficult to end the call. This problem seems to be very widespread. 2: Applications not working. Even though I have disabled the Facebook application, the phone is unable to reliably run many of the inbuilt applications such as the web browser or Google Maps. So, unsatisfactory as a smartphone, and pretty much a failure as a phone. Text messaging works OK. On the basis of this example, I would be very cautious about buying another HTC smartphone.

where to start... #1 it is the worst phone. it is super slow and very laggy. it can't handle simple tasks. it has total system shut downs. it can't handle games. it isn't user friendly. and the beats audio is a gimmick all it does is makes it a litlle louder and then the base becomes muddy. nothing against dre his headphones are amazing. but he should stick to headphones. i have the phone i hate the phone and i want to break the phone.

I have two of the HTC one, and have had issues with both. The phones get so hot at times they cannot be held up to your ear, so you have to use the speaker. This heat has caused both phones to have spider fractures on the screen. Both phones were purchased September of 2013. HTC is not interested in doing anything about the screen, but GorillaGlass is paying me for at least one of them because of the issues with that phone. I am taking the money from GorillaGlass and getting a Samsung. This is my first at last experience with HTC

Bought this phone because it looked nice and I liked the curvature at the bottom to hold on to it easier. That is about all that I can say about it that is good. It's the most $$ I've even spend for a piece of junk. HTC, can't believe you would put such a product on the market. Doesn't perform as it should, very, very slow and you can push something on the key pad and may get something. Always doing random calling when you are trying to check e-mail or a text message. Very, very disappointed ! !

mine just conked off a few days back... suddenly one morning my thigh begins burning and i find that the phone in my pocket has become too hot near the recent apps key. i can't even hold it ... the screen doesn't come on and holding down the power switch has no effect. Since the battery is totally sealed, it couldn't even be removed. finally the temperature reduced on its own but the phone was dead. Service center guys say mother board short circuit has to be replaced ( and the price quoted was 9k since the battery is attached). apparently this is a common problem even when it was working it was pathetic. apps closing on their own, takes extremely long to load the phone book or dial a no., browser closing whenever a heavy page is loading, for a few days bluetooth wouldn't switch on at all and needed OS reinstallation to correct the prob. Overall a very unworthy phone... poor performance and very unreliable (i had to replace the screen in 6 months cuz the bottom of the screen stopped responding.. thankfully that got done under warranty).

Let me just correct the guys here blobbing about this phone. First of all, the phone has 512MB of RAM and a single-core 1GHz processor. Based on that info, and the fact that I still use it 2 years after its launch, tells something. Tells that this phone is great for everyday use of any kind. I'm not a 3G user, but have WiFi ON all day and the battery life is pretty decent (18-25 hours - with processor constantly OC-ed to 1.5 GHz). I have a custom ROM installed on it (JB 4.1.2) and just with a 1 minute tweak of processor overclocking and minfree settings. Camera is more than decent, produces some wonderful shots, even HDR. So before you start talking trash about this phone, first make sure you understand Android and you know how to use it.

Just... Stay away from this... This... I don't think the title of 'phone' should be something this is allowed to be called. Seriously, I've had this phone for just over 2 years. Just after six months, it would have difficulty loading contact information, sending, and receiving texts. I've been waiting 28 minutes to load a text from my girl friend and have since had to call her on another phone just to tell her mine was being a heaping pile of un reliable, unresponsive, steaming pile of goat shit. I've downloaded 2 games , and 3 backgrounds. I realized an important message through buying this phone, and that message is that you shouldn't buy the cheaper alternative. There is a reason that it is a cheaper alternative, and that is because it is made of crappier material, hardware, software, and anything else that I didn't include. The only quality of this phone is that it's light, and slim, but that doesn't make up for the fact that it won't function after a few months. I'd rather be using the LG keybo I used all through high school. I bought this phone with minimal expectations, but it should at least function. All I do is talk, text and play big 2 on it, maybe google something occasionally, and it can't handle that. I apologies for the vulgar, but it was necessary to communicate my point

100% agree... I made a system restore several times but no change from a long-term perspective. Once you install several apps that require running in a background and syncing, the phone drastically slows down so it's hard to use even a text messaging...

I just purchased a mint used HTC One V. My HTC One sounded great playing music by Bluetooth through a Jabra Tag with IE2 Bose earphones. It is the Beats hardware amp in the phone coupled with the rocket player app set on max preamp that really delivers the Volume all the way from bass to treble. But the Htc one is big and I found this HTC One V to be very pocketable with the same strong sound. I am very happy with the performance. In the store it was molasses slow but after a factory reset and clearing videos stored in phone memory and adding a class 10 32GB microSD it is fine. Great for playing music, tough and small enough for trouser pockets, perfect for my use. I'll keep the HTC One for web searches and music Videos at home.

Been using it for 1 year now, regular use (only calling and texting and some internet usage and rarely YouTube and music), and I can assure you that it is the worst phone I had. It gets very slow even after cleaning it up and closing apps. Music quality is ok, but there are tiny glitches in the sound that we can here which is a real bother.(when wearing headphones) This phone is overall mediocre.

Review Got this phone a little less than two years ago. Very nice design, not too small, not too big. Nice looking homescreen. Very very slow. Crashes a lot, especially whatsapp and dialer (which is really annoying because I use those apps the most!) Hard to make a screen shot. Not enough space for apps/images/music etc. After two years the battery lives for 8 hours tops! So don't buy this phone.

Dear Friends I bought HTC one V phone on april 2012, its almost 2 years now, this phone is worst phone for me so far. I got it repaired 4-5 times. Its motherboard crashed in 6 month. This phone have only one button at the top, which stops working after few months use. Phone hangs a lot, battery is useless. It has the worst hardware inside. Surprise to see people still buying this phone. Another major issue with HTC , its after sales is bad, the repair centers are less and they take lot of time to get the handset repaired.

Hi, I am using HTC one v for past 1.5 yrs and also getting bogged down by the same issues. Sms not opening, contacts not responding, missed calls showing after 1hr. Arey these are the basic functions which a smartphone should perform seamlessly. Leave aside ur GPS, beats audio, multitasking .. I am going to upgrade to nexus5. Hope it doesn't disappoint.

Battery back up is bad, touch felling may be good but once you load 2, 3 application like Viber, Whattsaap it start crashing. most of the time mobile used to become unresponsive. to open a phone book it takes 2-3min, one day i could not able to open phone book for an hour, i tried after restarting the phone several times but all went in vain.. Last i can say HTC post sale service is terrible.. in blore they only have one authorized service center, they used to take more than a week to serve simple problem.. there are few center who collect the phone for service, but if you give to them you can forget your phone for couple of weeks..

most things about this phone are good. eg the screen is great, battery life is good, it has an SD card slot and GPS. etc. the only reason I can't stabs it is because it's so slow, and has slow slow RAM (and hardly any of it is free) I have installed a stable and relatively fast custom ROM and over clocked it to 1.5ghz, and it is still too slow. look elsewhere if you're thinking of buying this.

To everyone having issues with this phone, with non responsive apps, "edge" only networks or any errors with the phone. My only suggestion would be, if your ok with loosing your information, you can factory reset your device. Power off your device- DO NOT PRESS POWER AND SELECT POWER OFF. THIS IS STAND BY MODE!! Hold the power button, pop up will read "to restart your phone hold power for 3.2.1- etc.. let go of the power button once the bottom lights stop blinking and the screen goes black Phone will reset and turn back on, when you see the htc sign pop up on the screen, press and hold both the volume DOWN and the power buttons. The will reset into its bootloader allowing you to factory reset. This method does not require even root. Just patience trying to throw it into the bootloader because trying to keep the phone off is a pain. Holding power for about a minute WILL turn it off (LOL) From there just holding volume down before powering it on will gain bootloader access- If you have saved your contacts to your sim you wont loose them-- HTC Offers official bootloader unlock methods with step by step instructions for anyone that's looking to achieve root.

HTC One V is a sluggish phone- Weighing it down of course is it small CPU and only 1 GB Internal available to us users. Antutu Benchmark- With Overclock to 1704mhz and Wiped system was in the high 6000- at the very best. Stock with nothing done to it, phone scores 5139 (just ran it) Beats Audio is a very nice feature and as a first time user of ANYTHING Beats, It was a great equalized sound. Multitasking: Is non existent- Keep to one task with this one. Camera- Best feature.. Look at the camera comparison chart- This camera is amazing, the vivid colours is why I still keep it on me even though I've upgraded- With all that being said- Modding this phone, is an absolute terrible idea especially in US with the lack of North American roms-- besides that, not one rom allows proper use of the DEFAULT camera.. ALL but shpongle (which will only allow Google Play App cams to work) Body of this phone was very unique and felt very comfortable while holding with a sleek curved bottom. I successfully flashed a number of Roms to this phone and after finding out the camera didn't work, despite how much I hated sense, had to revert. To restore your phones speed, you must remember that "after a couple of months of use" just like a computer it must be cleaned. This was my problem as well but quickly got remedied by- Rooting the phone, getting SDMaid or a cleaning program of your choice. Cleaning the Cache, System and Dalvik. after this you will see the same speed as when purchased.. All in all this is an sub par phone. Be prepared for some lag however and the browser along with a lot of apps will run slow.. If this is your first time trying Android, don't base the way it handles of this device as it displays Androids capabilities poorly

I've had mine for about two years now, and it's time for an update. With only 4GB of memory, I just don't have enough space. On top of that, not enough RAM so I'm stuck on ICS and can't move up to JB. The BEATS audio is pointless and it's weighted down with so much extra stuff from Google that I don't need/use that I can't delete unless I root my phone. The phone is decent, but it looks like the poor idiot child compared to even an iPhone. On the flipside though, the phone has great battery life and charges really fast. It also has the upside of using a microUSB so I can literally walk into a store and buy a charging cable for $5. If that. Or scrounge from other tech I have lying around. As the phone does get weighted down, it will start to run slower and I've had to use other apps over the user apps to run simple things like internet and texts because they just aren't usable. I've had the problem of having to run another texting app just so I could delete texts because the regular android app that they have would crash every time I opened it. Apparently a problem that is common for it. Did I mention the Contacts app won't open at all? Yeah, it kinda sucks. All in all, this is a great phone if you don't need something too fancy. Camera's decent but don't think you're going to have fun snapchatting away. Phone won't update to JB so if you're okay with being stuck on ICS, go right ahead. If you're not a techie and just looking for something a bit shiny, this is a great phone for you. If you love getting the newest thing out there, just don't get this, you'll be disappointed.

This phone is slow, unresponsive and brain damaged. Absolute worst phone I've ever owned (and I used to have a Samsung Instinct!). This phone turns on screen/runs apps randomly, but when you WANT to launch an app or initiate an action, you frequently have to hit the icon several times before it will do anything... Same goes for making calls. Internet is worse than useless, battery life is pathetic, GPS rarely works... In short, do NOT buy this phone!

This is the worst phone I have ever had! It regularly hangs, dials random numbers and when you want to dial some one it take almost a minute from pressing the name to it dialling. If you are impatient it dials the number twice and then hangs up or pauses the call. The internet is slow. In short it is rubbish. Don't get one even if they give it to you free!

Pathetic phone i have ever had. It has drowned the name of htc..i wont buy any htc phone anymore very non-durable....worked fine for first 4 months...then the LCD malfunctioned by itself had to replace the LCD...and now the new LCD is also flickering very bad sound quality...you cant hear the other person on call....unless you have headphones Good picture resolution...i watched lots of movies on it... hahaha getting slower day by day.... i am switching to Galaxy

I had used this phone since June 2012.Works ok fir the first 2 wks but aft tt it starts to lag and took 5 whole min just to sms/whatsapp.The screen will just become umrespornsive and have to restart it. I had to endure for 1 1/2 year to the point where I would punch the phone the screen just to take out my frustration. I am currently using xperia zl and having no problems.

Phone really sucks. If I need to make a call to save my life, I'd probably die first and the phone is still loading. Sometimes when I get to make a call, it just lags. I don't even know if I managed to make the call and may be getting charged for it while the phone take its time loading. Because it's forever loading, even when I open my msgs.. Best thing it's probably the camera, if it's not lagging as well.

I had bought this mobile more than a year back. The best part about this mobile phone is its User Interface and the clarity of the camera. The worst part is that it heats up a lot, very bad at multi-tasking (single core processor), lag while running apps and to top it all, battery life. Highly dissatisfied by this mobile and would not recommend it to anyone.

I think HTC one is much better than the IPHONE 5, whether its air gesture function or screen resolution, I like it very much, but I recently saw a mobile phone which is similar with HTC one no matter style and performance, called OrientPhone S6, it can play 3 d games, antutu test can reach 16000 scores.

The HTC One V is my main phone and I love it: it's quite small, fast enough, good battery life (above three days with light use; games will drain it much faster). After a few months, the HTC software started to think my headphones has a mic, making the headphone jack useless. So I upgraded it to Android 4.2 Sphongle-EverVolv - and everything is back to normal. The specs says "not upgradable to v4.1" but that's incorrect: one can install either Sphongle-EverVolv or Paranoid to get Android 4.2. The origin camera and gallery apps won't work (they keep on crashing on the One V), so I'm using "Camera ICS" and "Gallery ICS" instead. Pros: + good battery life, several days if not gaming + small and slim, falls very easily in a pants pocket + good enough for browsing the net without zooming all the time. Cons: - no front camera - battery is fixed - low-end specs - ok if you get it cheap.

Guys you can disable un wanted built in apps, by the way u can feel the great performance difference .and for that goto Settings>.App.>All App . Select here whatever built in app u don't need and disable . I recommend disabling facebook would make a huge change.

This phone was the worst phone I had on some occasions it would freeze then it would restart it self then some times when I browse the web it would just start acting up and it would go go crazy like going to different sites that I didn't click on or it would just move up and down when I try to txt the keyboard would stop working and my backspace would not even work and it would send the message on it own when I wasn't done txt sometimes when I listen to music it would just act up freeze then restart it self then it would act incredibly slow and lagy also the phone battery life sucked and when I sent it in to get fixed within 2 weeks the same problems happened again just a complete waste of 300 dollars

If ur HTC One V is dissappointing u from these probles,then why don't go to costumer service in the shop where u buyed ur HTC One V.The Costumer Service will send the phone to the HTC Centre in New York or in Teipei.It will remain like 10 days.and then will give u back when it is fixed.I did that and now It works so fast and doesn't even reboot,Messages and contacts appear fastly.Therefore,it works very fast and nice.Do that and don't say something bad to HTC.

It is such a waste of money. Within a month of purchase the phone keeps on hanging and it takes really long time to get the contacts updated. Need to restart my mobile nearly 4 to 5 times/day. And if ur using mobile net just forget about this product it takes really long time to upload small web pages and at the same time mobile net connectivity breaks regularly in order to connect it back, u need to restart it. Had such a horrible experience using this HTC product. even the other product sucks as well.

i got my hands on d htc v one nd i'm importantly state its lack of responsiveness nd lag associated to android devices lower dan jellybean (thanks to project butter). It has an ambiguios file explorer(xplore), very complex for non geeks. apart from that,.i find it to be a relatively nice smartphone

The bluetooth on all of the HTC phones seems to have real problems. I am in my car a lot, and depend on my bluetooth. I hated my Samsung, but the bluetooth worked great. Really sucks that HTC can't fix this, it appears they have known about it for some time.

My problems with HTC One V OK, so the following are the problems I have with my One V (PLEASE SOLVE NO. 1, 4, 6 FIRST!): 1. The Stock Messages App. The stock Messages app on my One V got slower and slower and now it takes about 1 minute to open a conversation. Moreover, if I want to send a message to someone, the contact name never appears when I type his/her name in the recipient text box. To send a message, I have to open any conversation which I have in my Inbox and then when it opens up, I have to again go to compose message and then everything works fine. What's the problem? 2. Cannot view vCard Files. When I open a VCF File, it asks for 'Contact under account'. And when I select one, all the contacts automatically get copied to the selected account. I want to view the contacts in my vCard file before copying them. How to do so? 3. It's Super Laggy Now it's been a month I've use my One V and it has started lagging. Even updated to the latest Firmware update available in India, but nothing helped. 4. The Stock People App The People app on my One V has become slow. I don't even have large number of Contacts (about 50)... 5. Temple Run Gets stuck when I play Temple Run. 6. USB Tethering First of all, when I connect my phone to my PC, the options for selecting Disk Drive, Charge Only, etc. pop up after 1 min. Earlier they appeared immediately. Next, USB Tethering doesn't work every time. When I select USB Tethering and tap Done, the disk drives (HTC STORAGE and Removable Disk as they were named by default) are unmounted, but my PC does not get connected to the internet. After trying a lot of times (by unplugging the phone from the computer) it works once (I mean works after trying for at least 4-5 minutes). Why does this happen? Thanks.And make sure u solve the problems of HTC One V.

I've had this phone for more than a year now. The problems started immediately after walking out of the store. Horrendously slow - your messages will take at least 5 minutes to get loaded (yes, that is 300 seconds full), half the time you can't make calls, you can't download any new applications because the dear phone will become ill, you cannot browse the internet with ease. The only saving grace for this phone is good camera and that you can read your pdfs quite well. This is the WORST phone ever. Is there a way to sue HTC? Because for the amount they're charging for this phone and the amount of frustration you go through in dealing with this phone, I need a refund with an interest.

when i first got this phone about 18 months ago i was quite pleased, did what i wanted, specs looked ok at a glance, and was reasonably priced. But in the last 2-4 months has been slowing down ridiculously, freezing, and randomly shutting down apps or taking forever to load them.If you're looking for a long term phone id look elsewhere, but if you have the money and are only looking for a 12month transition phone whilst waiting for something else then you cant really go too far wrong

I am having exactly the same problems. Even when it gets disconnected it need to reboot for getting the signal again. Can't open messages and the worst part is very frequently if you want to call someone you will need to reboot it. Cycle of turn on and off is irritating.

The HTC One seems decent on paper, but with my 3 months of experience it was just absolutely atrocious. It lagged like hell from the start and even started to repeatedly cycle turning off and on every time i tried to use it.I have had to factory reset and clear the sd card many times. Just don't buy it. It doesn't matter the price. I got a replacement with this thinking it might be defective. It was just bad. As for why its bad, I assume its a mix of a low grade processor and gpu mixed with only 512mb of ram and HTC's very heavy sense UI (even though its running a watered down version.

If your'e into high end gaming, then this is definitely not the phone for you. Otherwise it's not bad for other daily purposes and the design is great!! The screen resolution is good but the camera is pretty average. One thing I liked about the phone is its aluminium casing-something you would not expect from a mid range device.

When I first got it, it was a very good and sleek phone, it was pretty fast but only comes with 4 gb so I had to buy an SD card which was pretty expensive. I really like the camera and but the phone, SMS and everything else is reeeaaally slow, not to mention that it cracks very easily. I have used a lot of phones in my life.... but htc one v is the worst phone i ever had.... it takes a lot of time to load the contacts after restarting n if by chance the contacts comeup in some time n u long press a contact the contact gets hanged.. The messages always hangs.... from the time i have this phone, m not feeling like looking into the msgs, soke times cant even delete msgs. my bluetooth was turnin on from half a month... i spoke to a rep and formatted my phone just to get the same issue again.. now its been 2 months n its still turnin on. when ever i check my phone, there has to be a popup stating some or the other app is not responding. phone lags but exceptable. but contacts n msgs are horrible. ill definately change my phone asap....

I've been using this phone for couple of months and play a lot of games like temple run,pyramid run,agent dash,carnivores,subway sufers and a lot more,but haven't faced any problems or lags so far,all the games run really smooth on this phone.The video quality is superb,better than any other phone at this price,camera is good too and so is the sound and build quality.It's a very good mid-range phone and i don't regret buying it.

This phone's build quality is great. The weight is of the phone is just right, enough for me to notice that's it's still in my pocket. However, this phone lacks power to fully utilize ICS, so stay away from this phone if you fall under the following: - Running multiple apps at the same time - Uses a lot of social networking applications that causes a lot of syncing - Plays the latest games on the phone - Has a LOT of contacts in the phone (~500) But this phone is great at its current price, you just need to adjust and know how to use it the best way given its limitations on power.

This phone really sucks! It always, ALWAYS hangs. It works very slowly if works at all. I need to stop all apps by task manager if I wish to open messages, contact list (People), Viber or sometimes Gmail, and I am sure many other apps that I don't dare install on my phone because it may break down!! I usually need to restart the phone so that it connects to internet over mobile network (not Wi-Fi). In addition to all above, the phone frequently restarts itself without notice even if I am not working with it. I was warned by a friend ever not to buy HTC, and I very much regret it now ... :-(

This is the worst phone I have ever owned. It becomes terribly slow and laggy. When trying to make calls, quite often nothing happens and then maybe as long as 1 minute later it makes the call without you noticing. Messages take forever to load, even the address book does not always respond with the incoming callers name. I've really never had such a shocking phone. My years old iphone 3GS outperforms it easily. It needs regular shutting down to start behaving normally. Actually it needs a sledgehammer landing on it very hard with parts sent back to the head of HTC.

when I updated temple run on the phone about a month back, I played the game for a while..... next day I: saw that the screen started to flicker. it would return to normal after a while, I ignored it. but as the days progressed the flickering became stronger & stronger. finally the screen went completely blank and comes on only for a few seconds. the touch works but the display is blank. removed temple run but the issue is still there. the soft key backlight comes on. ...... does anyone have a solution for it....??? plz reply

It's really a good phone at this price, of course you cannot compare it with high end phones..but overall it's really a good sleek phone with fantastic camera & video recording,youtube is a treat to watch,sharp & clear with very good sound,applications and games are downloaded within no time,temple run and other games run without any lags and the battery life is fairly good. For me it's a good value for money.

It is ok as a smart phone always keeping in mind its limitations due to ram and cpu but it is just junk as far as a phone. Contacts app keep crashing every 2 hours or so, AMD's take 20minutes to open. Searching for a contact in the phonebook is a daily pain- you are lucky if you find your contact. Other than that it is a decent android pc.

the very most problem i am facing in this phone is that memory card suddenly gets undetected and a error appears "sd card removed unexpectedly" many times i formated the memory card and inserted it again in the phone,also restarted the phone,some time it works and card works ok for some hours or days but again anytime it gives same error and memory card stop working. i dont know this is phone's physical problem or software problem but this is the problem i am facing in this phone from day one, rest of the things are ok.

I've had my htc one v for just about half a year now. Just recently the display glass (or plastic) broke for the second time - first replacement was at a cost barely below the price for a new htc one v. Must say that the glass didn't break from dropping the phone, my best guess is stress from being transported in the front pocket of my jeans. The phone is slooow at nearly all the things that was supposed to make it a *smart* phone. Browsing, in particular with Chrome, is a killer, visiting most non mobile sites makes the phone freeze for seconds, ten seconds at a decent WAN isn't unusual. Terminating a phone call, can be quite a challenge to ones patience too.The call is done, I press the hang up button, nothing happens for seconds, hmmmm better press again.......phone hangs up and immediatedly iniates a new call (so its also terrible at being a cell phone). Something is wrong with the email client too. Mail messages from me have resulted in multiple copies beeing sent, some being copies others partial messages or even rubbish ( read uninteded rubbish :)) You don't want to own a htc one v, spent that extra and get your self a phone that does the job properly! Yes htc one v doesn't cost a lot, but the poor owner experience actually makes it expensive!

I'm biggest HTC Fan.And I wanted to say that HTC is the best designable mobile brand but it also has some weakness.The weakness is that It does not think well when release a flagship of its year.Just look at the HTC One "Best in Class 2013".I'm impressed with its features like Ultra pixels,Boomtech sound,Zoe,Screen,Performance and design.The Neglibility of HTC in releasing the flagship is that it do not support Expandable storage,User interface of HTC One,One X,One S,etc.,waterproof technology,etc., and a battery life.Due to this problems the HTC Lacks behind in every year.I know that it is well defined brand but do not give much power to its flagship.The Apple is not better than the HTC but of popularity of people it rises.Just compare the iPhone 5 with HTC Desire S,Desire V,Desire X and Desire 600.The HTC's are have better function and apps better than iPhone 5.The HTC Desires has same weight of iPhone 5 but the HTC's do not have popularity due to low battery life.People like iPhones more better but I like HTC more better.The HTC should design the next flagship like HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE which is also competitor of iPhone 5 and I compared them and the Droid Incredible is better.My Father has iPhone 5 which I didn't find any useful function in it,It is just standard but cool in looks.By using the weakness of HTC like user interface should be so cool in which a person shocked to see the home screen and Application menu.HTC can be at the top of S4,iPhone 5S,etc.So,I want HTC to release a another flagship in next or this year which do not leave any MicroSD Card Slot,Water proof,Cool User interface not like the iPhones or Samsung,Long battery life, superior design,Ultrapixels of HTC One,Boomtech sound,Zoes.By this functions the HTC could be in the top of the eyes of peoples.Love you HTC.I hope you follow this instructions.Thank you.

This is by far the worse phone I have ever owned and I have had alot of phones....I use to love htc....good screen resolution and just all out nice appearance but this phone overheats all the time...like it feels like it is going to burn me through my pocket and it lags horribly if it even decides to do anything at all....super unresponsive...freezes all the time...it shouldnt take me 15 minutes to open up a txt msg and dont even try to actually look up a contact and proceed to call them...thats asking too much apparently...I Went through and factory reset the phone...troubleshooted with virgin mobile....worst phone company ever by the way...I even went through and as a last attempt to save the phone I downloaded Go Launcher thinking it could be the htc sense that was acting up....made it even worse...would never wish this phone on anybody...have a new phone from att on the way and will gladly destroy this one when that one comes in....just dont do it

it is the worst phone to buy i have used this phone for an year now and have faced multiple issues. poor response on the device, lag in calling, very slow reboot, are there to name a few. besides that handling of the device is also very poor on grip and holding. the device slips easily from ones hands very bad exteriors. n now my device has crashed down exactly after an year after 20 days of the warranty expiry. the customer service is least helpful and there are no considerations unlike samsung which is more customer centric. very poor is my rating.it is better to buy less branded phone atleast the money doesnt pinch there.

I am using this phone from last couple of months.. and till now my experience is very bad... 1)mother board has crashed in few days of use, then they replaced that. 2) camera quality is very bad compare to Samsung. 3) I have experienced the slowness of mobile, sometime opening a sms takes couple of min. 4)last experience from last few days, when i try to on my mobile, i found display is not coming, if i try after couple of min, it starts working fine. It continues for few days, no few days back i found screen completely gone. Don't go for this, if you want to go for HTC then go for very high end one, or Samsung is better, if you like windows(which i found better than android, except free apps) then go for Nokia.

i used this mobile but foud problem of over hitting due to its slim size,now after using for 6-7 months my phone one day over hitted and switched off. I have to replace new battery,also experenced s/w hangging problem so many times. using 3g network for internet phones temparator got increased quickly. Found one thing good thing is abt camera:very good batter backup:not so good memory:playing temple run it hangs,slows down.. with this bad experence i have switched to samsung note2.

allover demerit is in-built battery, once the device hangs we need to wait for it to respond, It sucks the technology. In-built(Embedded) battery gives advantages to track the device when it get lost. Disadvantages: Difficult to recover the data's once get freezes. Because you cannot remove battery and restart again manually. Only device decide itself to recover. It really sucks.

To all those below claiming that Samsung is better than Samsung they run the same software!! Someone claims there is no weather animation NOT TRUE. Did you know HTC invented the very first touch screen phone. There is nothing wrong with Samsung in anyway but saying its better than HTC is like saying you like spaghetti better than penne. HTC stopped producing curved chin mobiles..., this chin is a total failure.unfortunately one v has this chin.one v is not bad but HTC is bad.becoz go n compare a HTC and Samsung.HTC fails definitely.I don't recommend buying this mobile.no live wallpaper,no weather animations,no lock screen.and finally very slow.I saw even micromax with 512mb single core runs faster than one v.

I've been using this mobile for 8 months now... The mobile performs well with less applications.... As the number of applications decreases, the mobile starts to slow down... It slows down so much that you havetto wait at least 2 minutes for contacts to open n another 2 minutes to make a call... It's the same with messaging also. Even if you move all possible applications to sd card, performance never rises. But I should say, the multimedia part of the mobile is simply excellent.... Camera is fine, screen above average, videos pretty descent too.... But this phone is definitely not for users who like having more applications on their phone... If you are satisfied withg having less than ten applications, then go for it.... Otherwise, well, there are many other beautiful phones in the market :-)

For opening a message its taking more than a minute. Always it will ask to send error report. COntacts will not open. All this happening when my phone 50% occupied condition. I couldnt sell my phone also. Because unlocking the screen itself taking minimum 10 seconds. So please dont buy this mobile at any cost. But you can trust the brand HTC only above the mobile versions of HTC sensation to till HTC Butterfly.

I've using it for last six months It's performance is great compared to other 512mb ram devices, if u compare it with some any double or quad-core device then that won't be fair, it supports almost all the apps what one x does . when it comes to camera the image quality is decent . It's a good package :)

I am using HTC ONE-V for the past 1 year. IMO, its a good phone, takes 4-5 sec while opening app at the time of multi tasking (3 or more apps). Work best with 1-2 task at a time.Camera is good, but no front cam, so that's the disadvantage. Sound is good. Plays all type of games for eg temple run, angry bird without lagging etc. Grp messaging in this phone is pathetic, also some time does't play online videos (especially youtube.

Its a good device within the specified price range. I find the screen brighter and clearer than many other sony and samsung mobiles. It lags for opening the messages and contacts but can be reduced if temporary files are deleted on a regular basis which increases the speed. the music experience is awesome. the camera is also amazing. all in all an amazing phone. since its an android device i request everyone to restart in once in every 2-3 days span.

Terrible phone... My boyfriend is on the same network as me, I'm lucky to get 3 bars and he always has full. Have replaced the phone twice trying to fix the problem but still very crappy reception. I've had this phone since September 2012 and its now almost April 2013 and I'm out shopping for a new one. Completely unreliable, especially for some one who needs it for business. Have lost a client due to dropped calls and shotty reception. Now I'm having trouble opening texts and making phone calls. Phone doesn't respond. Have tried factory reset/hard reset and it didn't fix the problems. I would NOT recommend this phone, save yourself the hassle and get a Samsung Galaxy Ace II x, which is comparable in price.

I have had this phone since October 2012. i have it in black though. i love this phone. it has good internet connection. if u are in a place where there is lots of trees like out in the country, then no this phone is not for you. You can download many apps without going over the storage limit. right now i have about 20 apps, 5,000 pictures, and over 200 songs. it still works fine. Its very sensitive, i dropped it on my bathroom floor and it cracked. this is the best phone i have had so far. today i did spill finger nail polish remover on it.. but i don't know if it will make it, it is in a bog of rice right now.

If the contacts show up slow, then you need to transfer the contacts from phone to google(gmail). Do the following: - 1) Transfer all contacts to gmail. 2) Set default contact list to gmail. 3) delete phone contacts. 4) Set sync contacts to gmail. Your problem will be solved.

Its Wifi Direct is not working.(Confirm with customer care, they said "their Engineers are working on it to fix this error".) just to inform you, their Engineers are working from last 6 mths(LOL). Its have serious problem with Internet connect. I already format it twice. When u talk to customer care, their simply tell you just format it and every time they remind you to keep your contact and Message back up. No doubt, it has amazing camera and Beataudio.

If you are not having complete beats enhancement(no equalizer) then don't worry, this is the latest firmware...!! :-) HTC removed the equalizer settings while pushing out the so called "Media Link HD" update. This is done with all "one" devices. In short we are screwed..!! In case of battery.. If you dont have "network"(means poor or no signal), thats the main reason causing battery drain. just switch to a better network. adjust your display brightness. given that you are not a heavy user and still facing problem with the battery, head to a service point..!!

Though this phone is good,as some others said it is very slow!! Also some of my friends who got this phone had bunch of problems related to software which includes bluetooth problem,non functional WiFi direct and overall slow on multitasking , have to clear the RAM each time wanna play a heavy game. Features of this phone are good and it is a really good phone.Thumbs up for the camera and audio quality.

Super slow Sense. Opening up contacts , people and messages lag way too much. The way my phone was saved is to root it and install custom ROM. Install some apps like Clean Master to clear cache and Greenify to clear this phone of its low RAM. Performance improved much :)

The HTC keyboard is very poor. Reasons: the period is too far out next to the space bar or the space bar is too small...either one works in this case. the microphone key for voice cannot be removed completely so often you accidentally activate the voice recognition ap....which is a pita.

Thats not a Problem, only what is happening is google has updated the play store app, so before your app gets downloaded, first the google play store app will get updated, allow the progress to complete, only once your app is updated, then other download will start, don't clear the cache because it will start the updation from 0.

Low ram almost 75 percent used by sense and background apps, sometimes even 100mb left when running, causes settings to open with delay over 3 second, Using facebook, then your phone will lag horribly under normal operations 2. 1ghz single core s2 generation processor which is 2 and half year old, what's the disadvantage, though most games are compatible, many new games don't support it, and out most payable games some of them exit while playing, may be too much for less ram and single core cpu, 3 phone has good stand by time, but when used with data network, battery exhaust quickly, may be the screen and hardware, rest is good about this phone Yes missed front cam but that's not big deal for me

A new software update recently (at my side just yesterday) introduced makes this phone solid as a rock. No lag anymore, my user experience improved extremely. It used to have huge lags while loading text messages and contacts, now both can be loaded rapidly with no lag. Apps such as Viper were not working properly, there used to be many application not responding errors but now everything is much more reliable.

Sorry to say but one v has lag problem because of 512mb ram and won't be updated to jellybean in any case, HTC desire x has more ram 768mb and runs on sense 4.1, still no official comment by HTC on jellybean but I think it can be updated, desire x has removable cover, when it comes to display HTC one v has more pixel density and looks sharp even though desire x has bigger screen, camera diff desirex doesn't shoot at 720p but at 480x800 5 mp, one v scores with 720p capability, processor desire x has dual core which is great, one v single core troubles a lot and aluminium body heats, practically desirex is best because it will not hang, one v only scores for body, camera and display

I've had this phone for more than half a year now. Unfortunately it hasn't lived up to my expectations. Within the first month it was lagging and very slow. I had trouble playing Templerun without lag. I can't even imagine how other graphical games will run on the phone. The ram is very low for an android ICS phone. sometimes i end up with 14mb of ram. Stay away from this phone, many better alternatives for the same price.

I am using HTC One V for past 6 months and initially the phone worked just fine. But after say 3 months I started facing some issue; it became very slow, then touch screen was not working properly. I got the screen changed from the service center. My friend who bought the same phone also experienced issues like flickering of screen; he has to get the mother board changed. You should definitely give a second thought before going with this phone.

Used htc one v for a month now... my views and experiences... DISPLAY: nice display for its segment. good pixel density.. and I'm quite particular about a good display in a phone. CAMERA: Very good camera. does a very good job with 5mp. hd video recording is very good. nice options in camera. good bright LED flash. no secondary camera though. GRAPHICS: Not very impressive. PROCESSOR: This is where the phone loses out. It is quite slow. Messaging, in particular. Every single time, it takes atleast 5-7 seconds to load the inbox and 5-7 more to open a conversation. you can adjust with it, once or twice. after that, it really pisses you off. Apps do take a while, but that is almost the same as other phones, but the inbox things really sucks, same is the thing with call log and phonebook. takes a lot of time to open. so if you're a messaging person, forget it. MUSIC: Beatsaudio.. nothing more to say.. But the stupidest thing htc does here is, the earphones they provide, the most stupidly basic and uncomfortable ones. Not plug-ins, which Sony give in the box.. If you want to buy beats earphones, shell out 11 grand.. STORAGE: No complaints here. USER INTERFACE: HTC SENSE 4.0... A good interface. no complaints here as well. BATTERY: Nothing special from other phones. Average usage supports for 1 day. which is the case with almost all others. INTERNET: No problems with the speed. no worries. SPEAKERS: Good speakers. good loud n clear voice clarity during calls. everything else is good. OVERALL: A good buy, if you can manage with a little lag. And buy new earphones if you're a music freak. No problems otherwise. But given a choice again in the same price range, I would rather go for Sony Xperia J. for secondary camera, the Sony earphones which I absolutely love, and bigger screen with better pixel density, no complaints with one v screen though.

No i don't think so this is a problem . well htc one v have a Bluetooth is 4.0 and another device Bluetooth have a 2.0 2.1 etc so that's why u didn't connect your Bluetooth. if u want to connect your Bluetooth to another device so u need at-lest 3.0 blutooth.

Sorry but I disagree with every1 else here. Even the iphone, s3 and blackberry 9900 had its own issues. I have been using it since last two months now, Sumhow I didnt find any issue. Yes, its a bit slow. But just a bit. May be a fraction slow. Camera is the best in 5 MP. Trust Me. Internet is fast. It used to heat initially, but suddenly it is gone. Looks amazing. I would not say it to be the best. But I would anyday buy it even if it compared to samsung s advance aor any other phone in that range.

After draining the battery like what the dealer said and recharge it again I was hoping that I can use it for a full day without recharging again, but, its not. I just bought an HTC ONE V and the major flaw about my unit after using it for 2days is the battery. I drained the battery and recharge it again to full charge, but, after using for not more than 6 hours it only has 23% left. Good and sturdy phone. But my capacitive switches(back/home/list) buttons stopped working within the first 2months. Sometimes these switches start working and then die again after 1-2weeks. Anybody faced such issues ? Shop keeper says its a common problem with this phone and i have to take it to service center. I just hope that buttons don't start working when I reach service center.

Guyz i read al of ur queries. I too have HTC one V. I too faced the problems that u guyz are facing. The only solution of this is go to service center and tell them u want ur software upgrade. Do not let them upgrade ur software by ur ph. let them upgrade it by their pc. I faced these problems and i have upgraded my ph. software now the ph. is not lagging and working fine. I'm begining to hate this phone. I've had it for a few months now. I haven't got that many apps on it, and I am restarting it regularly. The messaging takes upwards of a minute to load ('loading'), whether there are any messages or not. The notification of the number of messages unread is often wrong. Recently when I'm replying to a message, sometimes I can type merrily away (the vibration tells me I'm hitting the keys), and nothing appears on the screen. When it does start responding, it looses all the text up to the point where it starts responding. When I set it to vibrate, it doesn't when I get messages. The phone takes an age to make calls. When dragging bar at the top of the screen down, the screen will often stay blank for 30 seconds or more before displaying the notifications etc. The HTC sync software is a joke, and often I cannot connect to it at all. I really am considering taking it back to the Vodafone store and getting a different phone completely. :-( :-(

Sense is outstanding as compared to touchviz, timescape etc.. but that's the main reason behind the non availability of jb update.. though the hardware is enough to work with Jelly Bean.. but the Sense isn't..!! Sense uses more resources than any other UI.. nova launcher is a good choice, since its based on stock ICS launcher....!! but a custom rom would be a better solution..!!

Yes I Do Agree, Sometimes( rather I would say many) the messaging takes a hell lot of time to open, also sometimes calling a number would take more than 8 seconds to appear on the screen. So far its a good phone(nearly run every single app) but I'm not purely satisfied woth it coz after a prolonged use you'll feel its a slow phone, i would suggest rather to go for ANY Dual Core phone at this stage. But I must admit that the HTC Sense 4.0 UI is very good, that is the main reason why HTC phone rocks over the other same range phones.

Well here's the issues I had with one v 1. Rebooting problems 2. It's slow with opening some apps (messeges for example) 3. Takes upto 10 sec to make a call 4. Problem with ending a call 5. Any one with this same problem ? i have had a few smart phones this is my first HTC .it operates as the best i have ever had until the left hand edge of my screen seems to have decided it wants no further part in the operation of the phone. the problem started in 1 spot ( the a on the keyboard )and has seemed to spread to the entire edge all the time making it impossible to operate some apps and forcing me to constantly turn my phone on the other axis to type then needing to turn it back for space bar and other close buttons . In my opinion it is the best. Of course you must consider it comparing it only to other "entry level" android phones. I got this phone for $99 from Virgin Mobile USA. It is the cheapest phone with android 4.0 Meanwhile Motorola, LG, and Samsung are stilling trying to hock entry level phones with Android 2.3, and for more money!!! Also this is the best 5 MP camera on a phone I've ever seen. It can take pictures in a pitch black room and it look as if the room has fully lighted.

The bluetooth issue is not BIGGGGG ...as you claim. Who uses bluetooth for file transfers? That is just ridiculous. I use a free wi-fi file transfer app like tap pouch (listed in google play as wi-fi file transfer-orange icon with blue wi-fi symbol) So when 2 devices are connected to the same wifi network you can transfer files with no size limit. This phone has Bluetooth 4.0 which is best. I can connect it to my bluetooth headset and bluetooth speaker simultaneously.

The One V is the best "entry level" android phone I've used. I used to be dedicated to LG (had both the Optimus v and OPtumus Elite). I didn't know what I was missing until I got the HTC One V. When I first start up the phone all the app icons load instantly whereas on the LG phones it took several minutes for all the app icons to load. The HTC has by far the best camera on any entry level android. (LG wasn't too bad...the absolute worst camera was on the Motorola defy XT which even with a LED flash took pictures so dark you couldn't see anything.) On the One V I took a picture in a pitch black room and the picture looked like all the lights were on when I took it. In summary if you want an entry level Android stay away from LG, Motorola, and Samsung... HTC is the best in my experience.

I have rooted my one v n installed jb so now it runs very smooth without any lags. V have some great developers at xda bcoz of which jb roms have bcum vry stable. It's a good phone, the reason why it lags is that in the settings, go to developer options - then UNCHECK 'Destroy every activity when the user leaves it'. I have done this has helped 100%.

Hei. I got this set 4 months ago for 18k but it's around 17k which is ok. Its a good phone. Camera 9.1/10 Appearance 7/10 Sound/Music 8/10 Battery backup - As u know its android but lets say 8/10(with texting), 7.1/10(call), 5/10(Net pack) games 9/10 Its a sealed body with chin up. Non user removable battery. No front camera and HDMI port :( Also found that the bluetooth issue. Don worry its working. The issue is that When u receive a file more than 70-80 MB, it fails. Phone spec says 1GB for user which is partially true. Its divided into 900 MB & 100 MB.in 900MB apps will will be installed & in 100 MB pic taken from camera or bluetooth received files.So if u try to receive files more 80MB it fails always. User cannot change this setting neither change bluetooth setting. So This is a Biggggggg -ve. I found that during any call the the sound output when we hear is low. It's having a ok ok average-nice type headphone. I would prefer Sony now bcoz of its variant appearance, sound.If u like HTC go for it, but now SonY is having more options.

Both one v n u are not going to get JB. If u keep dat in mind i wud consider the one v becos of its sense UI n the expandable memory(extremely imp if u are a hardcore gamer).ICS is very nice with sense UI.Its not at all laggy if u do not load a lot of junk apps on the phone.But there are just few moments when u feel dat u need a dual core processor. In my opinion if u want the best performance n budget is not a concern then PLS go for the one s.its a nice phone wid a very fast processor,4.3 inch screen,upgradable to JB. My opinion is if u want to a phone in d range of 15000 then this is good.. Otherwise there r way better phones than this. I made a mistake buying this model. I don't think it's worth 18000 NOW. Hey man, ill be honest here. My first android phone, which was not more then 1 month ago, was htc one v. I really loved it in the begginning. You know, big screen, touch screen and stuff, ( it was new to me, because i used nokia phones before this). Well, it worked absolutely fine the first month. The 2nd month, it got a little slow. It heated up fast. So i had to un install the games to stop myself from playing them. But one day, while i was on a call, the phone screen pixels suddenly started to change. They went black and white, and boom my phone shutted down. The screen was black, but the power buttons worked. If i touched the screen, it would open something, but the screen was black. I eventually had to return it, since the htc people said that it was not a software problem, but it was because it heated or something and they couldnt fix it. Sadly, i didnt have warranty also. So i had to sell it, for no more then 100 bucks. lol. A bad experience. I would suggest you getting htc one s instead since its better then htc one v, not much of a price difference, and way better then one v.

I have this phone for over a week now. It replaced an LG optumus elite and performs much better. The camera and sound are far superior to the LG. I am still tinkering with and learning some of the features but am more then satisfied so far. For the price it is a great little smart phone.

its been around 30 days since i have been using this phone..somehow satisfied but still, bad things r there.... beats is not so impressive...the sound doesn't sound like the name 'beats' ...bass effect is quite less both in the htc headphone as well as the phone... multitasking is sluggish...cant open too many apps together, it gets slow.... but still processing is somehow nice.... i play temple run most of the time...and it works very fine... battery backup is not bad ...continuously using internet and playing a bit of game, i got a backup near to 6 hrs... camera is very good..but still, the natural colour effect is missing ... design is superb...very much capable of attracting the opposite sex... the phone is tough as well... once my phone fell down real hard, but lucky to get only a small scratch.. rest everything is fine ...the only thing I would wish for, is a jellybean update...its really very depressing that htc one v won't get a jellybean update...

I bought one V and I love it. The size is very sleek, sending message very quick. Even quicker than iPhone 4. Booting speed a few seconds quicker than iPhone 4. Photo quality is really good except in low light condition. Sound quality, excellent. Using wifi, page load really fast. I especially like the bent bottom for easy grip. Touch sensors excellent on screen but those three buttons sometime you have to touch it twice but I may be doing it wrong. Overall, I would recommend this. Trust me, I am selling my iPhone 4 now.

I'm using one V since 6 months its working quiet well but the main disadvantage in the phone is it has an inbuilt battery. At the same time HTC doesn't provide any extension of your phone's warranty, so whenever your phone has any problem after a year you will have to repair it on your own expenses.

after htc said that there will be no 4.1 for One V (and not even 4.0.4! and the optimized sense 4.1)i decided to use custom rom on my one V and this is the best decision for now.The phone runs 4.04 and sense 4.1 with all effects and the processor is up to 1500mhz.Awesome!
