I have not had such a good phone as this. I got mine before going overseas in 2013, and it still works well today - despite being dropped, submerged in water, and everything else I ut it through. It hasn't cracked once and still works well! Camera is still on point. Only thing now is that it only charges at a certain angle - but after almost 5 years, I think that's pretty good!

Maame Adepa....I have a 32 gig right now which Im using. I think you didn't get the 32 gig. HTC One XL has 9gig 16gig and 32 gig. And about the network, please go to your network provider and replace your sim. Maybe you've used the sim card for a long time and the terminals on the sim are wearing out. go replace it and experience the good works of HTC One XL. I'm using mine with MTN here in Ghana and it's perfect. Just that its 3.5G and it consumes alot airtime, better still, it's fast. Its a nice phone. Who ever says the HTC One XL isn't good is a lier. The HTC One XL is one of HTC's best phones I've ever used. it has a nice camera, better OS( upgradable) and very sleek. The only problem that i can complain it the Battery. It really doesn't last long. apart from that, its a nice and quality phone. Im in Ghana and Im loving this.

HTC one xl has a poor specification. GSM Arena says 32gig internal storage but its a lie, it only has 9 gig storage space. The network on its own is very poor. I have tried several sim cards but the network keeps on disappearing. The battery is also not gud. For an inbuilt battery de battery capacity shld atleast have been higher. Do you do top-up charges? Top-up charges are bad news for this handset because they upset the callibration of the battery. The following advice may seem impractical but it's the best method, I've found. Run your battery down to 0%, then charge it until you get the green light (about 3 hours). At this point do not disconnect your charger, let the green light stay on for a further hour. Do not power up the handset while any of this is happening. Cycle through the above actions about 2~3 times and your battery will be just fine. Mine is almost three years old and gives me two days of fairly moderate use (an hour or two of calls, and about the same for web surfing). No top-up charges. I'm upgrading soon (to Samsung Note 5) only because HTC has over the years consistently underwhelmed me.

I used to have really bad battery life in mine until I learned the secret: You have to avoid top-up charges. Top-up charges upset the battery callibration. Use the phone until the battery drops to zero and powers itself off. Then charge it up until you see the green light, but don't disconnect your charger yet. Leave it to go for another hour. you need to tray to do a hard reset at the phone. If that dondt work, is possible you need to re-install the firmware.

Mine is the same since software upgrade. HTC are absolute cowboys. If this was banking every one would be up in arms. Yet a phone is more essential in emergencies and they release rubbish. Phone goes in 2 months. In fantastic conditions but I will put a hammer to it. No one should suffer like this. HTC will be history in a few years.

Though the one got higher config than the one xl, it has to carry a load called 'blinkfeed' too. But the one's look is greater than the xl. But I found one trouble with the one xl- its loudspeaker volume is too low but with headphone is ok.

If your playing games for almost an hour same thing in watching movies well the phone will surely heat up. Remember that the back cover was made of metal not plastic. For me this is acceptable since phones are basically made for communication purposes and that is for call, text and emails. Added features are the bonus aspects of the unit. For me this phone rocks and i am absolutely satisfied with the performance... :)

I use this same phone and the features listed here are just like mine. I got the jellybean update two nights ago, over 465mb of download. The phone is a great phone, nice sound and superb display, light weight and fantastic camera. mine is not rooted yet. the cons are that the 1800mah battery gives me about 8hours charge and its expected for a battery below 2000mah and considering that I am a heavy user, gaming, and connected to highlight, bbm, whatsap and playing videos (for close to an hour). the other concern I have is the phone heats up around the camera area when the memory (RAM) is over 85% usage. this cools off when I reduce the number of apps I have. generally I love this phone. its sleek, powerful and fanciful. and the only samsung galaxy that features better is the GS4

This phone is actually on point however its got one major drawback; The external speaker is terrible and as a result you sleep through alarm rings, you miss phone calls once its not in front of you and other related things could go sour for you. Still, its a great phone.

Try using the original USB cable from HTC. Initially it will take some time to be showed up in htc manager.. Aditionally you can go to your phone settings and change the usb connection to a storage device..

I just received this HTC one xl from a family member in China because he got a iphone5. Reason was the XL didn't last longer than 6 months of use and had to bring In for repair (not sure the exact reason) it took more than 2 months to get the phone back (repair in China). The question is the original box spec is a 32gb storage, but now that it in my hand (I'm in Canada) I did a factory reset and update to the latest 4.2.2 jb and went to the storage to check the size and it only add upto16gb? This HTC One XL is much better then One X since I own both the phone. In terms of battery life LX is much better then One X by almost 30 percent longer!! Quality wise is almost the same except that XL has 4g which was fast for using it to browse the web or download a file or watch youtube. Amazing and not too expensive now.

On my one xo I have had speeds up to 62mbps download on 4 bars of 4g service. The guy in the shop said this phone currently has the best internet speed and the dual core processor works fine my phone doesn't lag while playing 1080p HD videos on you tube, my home computer won't even do that LOL

I believe this is the version released in NA to take advantage of the the LTE connectivity sweeping the continent. That's the reason for the Snapdragon over the Tegra, the S4 plays better with the LTE networks than nVidia's solution. Amazing phone, btw :D

It really is. No matter how hard I try to scratch it with my sharp nail, and even a scissor, it doesn't scratch AT ALL. However, I'm not quiet sure it will do the same with something like gems or jewels, or something really hard. But anyway, it's almost impossible to scratch in day-day use. I'm using SGS3 btw, but basically all Gorilla Glass are just as strong as each other, GS3 does use the GG2, but it's just thinner not stronger.

Believe me. I also used to think that it was stupid to put screen protectors on Gorilla Glass, until all my phones started to become scratched. Metals don't scratch Gorilla Glass but harder minerals do it. Like grains of sand in your pocket, in your bag, in the ground after a drop... I had an HTC Desire S, a Lumia 800 and a HTC Incredible S, and all got some light scratches.

I have come from a GS2 to this phone and this phone is heaps better. The only thing I can think of that I liked better on the GS2 is that I could sort the individual apps in the app menu, on this phone it is either alphabetical or age order. On the GS2 I could create folders as well such as games or office but on this phone no such option.

I have had my HTC One XL for 3 and a half days now and it has just stopped working it won't do anything it won't unlock it won't turn of it just won't do anything so I am not very impressed at all.This is the first phone I have ever had do this to me and they call it a SMART phone and the worst thing is they cut my sim card down to be a micro sim that this phone needs so I can't even use my old WORKING phone because I don't have a sim to fit it anymore.I have animals and live out of town and my mobile is my only way of communicating so I am pritty upset that on a weekend I can not get in touch with anybody if something happens because a 3 and a half day old phone has decided to shut itself down its really great technology NOT!.Don't think I will get a HTC again or nor will I recommend a HTC One XL to anyone.

Incorrect. They went from the quad to the Dual in the LTE version to TRY and save battery life. LTE still DESTROYS the battery though.

Previous phones: XDAII (flashed 2003se) (skipping a bit) HTC Magic (flashed cm4) HTC Nexus One (flashed cm7) Samsung galaxy note (flashed cm9)(destroyed last week by rain on the motorbike... spewing) HTC One XL (rooted) I was going to go the the galaxy S3, and I'm not REALLY sure what stopped me. Maybe it was the fact that 4G is 5 times faster than what the S3 can do, and it's $150 cheaper... I can't be sure. I've never had the stock ROM my android come with for more than two days.. but sense4 is REALLY bloody impressive. It's smooth, fast, no lag at all. Love the features of live widgets and HTC watch is farkin amazing. Flashing CM9 to this device would be a travesty. Having said that, Battery life !!!SUCKS!!! Never had a device that chews the battery so hard. If you're away from a charger for 5 hours, and use your phone like me, forget it. Get the One X.

In Australia, Had this phone for about 1 month now, after upgrading from my Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. I must say there is a whole host of problems. The battery will now not charge above 32%. The alarm functions do not alarm at the required time (this alone is enough to make the phone redundant). The interface is not very logical when compared to the X10. And I get malware apps appearing all the time, even before I had logged into the app store, which is something that never once happened on the sony over a 2+ year period. Disappointing on a whole. Impressive music/display/speed, but if I cant wake up to get to work on time, it will cost me my job and that just isnt worth it, really.

That's because the HTC One is only a 3G phone, which are currently compatible with quad core processors. The one XL is 4G (10-15 times faster) and 4G is not yet compatible with Quad core

Why on Earth this phone is 300 EUR more expensive than the "One S"....because the only diference that I can see is the slightly bigger display slightly better chipset slightly better front facing camera and not to mention its thicker and heavier compared to the One S...And ??? I dont know about you people but HTC is by far and away the best android pone makers in terms of design ( although i do have a soft spot for motorolla and the s 2 ) and performence. Complain about its batery life but remmber you just need it to last you till the time you sleep for an overnight charge. The HTC one X outdoes all the similar quad core phones especially with the bestest (intended) sense 4.o

my over all rating is 9 out of 10. almost perfect android phone, the display is very crisp, considered as ONE of the slimmest phones , ONE of the very fast and nice smartphone, but there is a bit lack of detail when it comes to its camera, compared to xperia nxt phone.its now available in the philippines. well, after all, htc is still ONE of the greatest android phone carrier. good job. love the new user interface! :)

I think the main diference is the cpu. the one xl is dual core and the X is quadcore.I know better the X because I am from Portugal and here there Isn't xl, only X.

I don't see why people are so worked up over 16gigs of storage. Everything is stored on cloud servers now. Music is on Google's services, and if your keeping tons of vids on your phone then you need to invest in a dedicated player then as opposed to a new phone. Personally I think this thing is borderline perfection. I love the power the One S but, I really really really like that screen on the One X and this is the best of both. Personally, this is were my money will probably go to. I don't see anything out there that's even remotely on it's level and I think it's gonna be awhile too.

look out on april 4th. htc and sprint about to announce the htc evo one !! same excact specs on the htc one x, but with a 16gb internal storage with a sd slot, 2600mah non removeable battery, and a kickstand!! cpu, gpu, camera, display, audio, Everything else will be the same as the htc one xl. and it will be connected to sprints new 4g lte network!!!

It is not wise to put an 8MP Camera with HD video recording with just 16gb & no mem card slot. A 10 mins HD video recording on such a phone will have a size of 1.2gb to 1.8gb. 32gb or 64gb would have been much better. Anyone buy this phone has to stay away from HD video recording as much as possible....too bad. 64gb would have made this phone the perfect competitor to the Samsung galaxy S II most esp since it has ICS on it. I aint touching this phone with a pole.

Hi dude! I don think it'll be different in term of storage. HTC Xl also has 16 Gb memory. but after I bought it , I realised it has only 12.7 GB available for users. However, 3.9 GB is reserved for apps. So in short, u can access only 8.9GB. if u wanna buy this phone (HTC one XL), check it out first before u feel sad like me (HTC Xl).

I would like to buy this! It looks great, and it seems that it has a bigger internal storage then the Sensation XL. The Sensation XL has only 8.89 GB of internal storage. By the way I don't really get this NO card slot policy :P Why every company wants to follow Crapple? LG for example was smarter. Their flagship device has a card slot.

according to HTC's own review, the L on XL is for the added LTE feature. X is not capable of LTE. You do have a point though about their CPU.

acually, you will find on htc.com(middle east) that HTC One XL is coming, so it is not exclusive to AT&T, also you will find that it have Bluetooth 4.0, and it is 8.9mm thick, 129g, and available only in one version that is 16GB

All the talk about Quad core and this will be a dual core . I will do some research on the 1.5GZ Krait and see what that's about . Maybe this will be a good thing . I guess we can't have our cake and eat it too. LTE comes with a price. Actually, with all the amazing technology that goes into these smartphones I don't really see the need to complain too much .There are so many phones to choose from! Do some research ,pick your phone and go live your life. Have fun with your new phone ,whichever one it will be and try not to drool over a phone someone has.
