So, ive had this phone for about three years now. the only reason i kept it for so long was for the unlimited plan i had on it, but sense ill be replacing it soon, i felt i needed to write a review. Over all for the time it was made this phone was pretty kick ass, at least for me. the battery life after about a year and a half sucked balls, but replacements and upgrades can be made on that. this phone for those three years ran my computers wifi on its mobile hotspot, and my friends whenever they came over, and i was getting speeds that where just barely behind my friends on high speed wired internet. and the phone itself ran all the new apps that my friends would play, normally smoothly, with small understandable lag for its age. this is more of a rant then a good review, but i really like this phone, it was great, but i dont recommend anyone go out and try and get this phone, ive been trying to get mine replaced with new ones that have just been kept in storage, but everytime i get a replacement (of the same phone) there is either major software problems, screen troubles, or most of all the plastic little lining around the outside top of the phone to keep the phone screen safe is coming off, either their clips or broke, or the glue is just falling off due to age. well rant done, take it or leave it.

This is because you've formatted the embedded htc rezound default factory rom and it corresponding system factory settings. If you could remember its should the first ever factory restore or formatting you've ever done with that htc rezound with device. Get ready to solve this cheap sheet. Well I will call the process a research project. Leaving you at this stage is not the solution. ~Type this syntax at any search engine. Well just use google. Free htc rezound android police From there pic up any lucky link of you choice. Download the htc rezound android police rom. Its a .zip file of up to 616mb of more. Do not extract the zip. Format and external sd memory card to file system fat32. Copy the only the download htc rezound android police rom into the root of the sd memory card. Rename the htc rezound android police rom to PH981MG. the rom new attribute name is now PH981MG.zip Remove htc rezoud battery. Insert the sd memory card containing the only the PH981MG.zip Place battery do not place phone cover yet. Hold down vol+ button. Do not release yet. Hold down power button. Do not release yet. At this point you are holding volume plus button and at same time the button too. Before 10sec wait for the splash screen to appear. Wait for system to load and check the PH981MG.zip HTC Rezound droid OS. If check is successful, just carefully follow simple instruction to agree for system formatting and installation of the new factory OS. Process will start one after the other. Wait for installation to complete. Installation should take up to 20min. When done, your HTC rezound must boot properly to it normal. Glory glory you HTC rezound is back to life. If process not successful start it over again. Make sure that you download the downloaded rom is the htc rezound android police rom by android police. Downloaded rom name should be change to PH981MG Vol+ and power button at same time will boot the slash screen. After splash screen appear, do not press any button until rom check is done. Thanks

I think opinions arevso misleading. Theres no way HTC would invest their technology in a phone that would affect their reputation. These phones are well designed and their functionality all meet the required specified standards.the problem is us the users, if one doesnt know how to use the phone or install apps that affercts the phone, i think its imperative not to say bad on the phone. For all those who are still asking if there would ever be an upgrade to jelly bean, the answer is no. Verizon did not plan an update and would not do so. But you can run it on your phone by rooting your device and installing a custom Rom just as @jasonmerc said.

First of all, I would like to give feedback to the specifications. The HTC Rezound IS IN FACT A GSM-CAPABLE PHONE. I am using mine right now with T-Mobile, with a T-Mobile SIM card in its SIM slot (also, I have a custom ROM on mine). However, when using this phone with a SIM card/on a GSM network, it only supports up to 2G. I was only able to get EDGE at most out of this device on T-Mobile. To answer some questions in the comments section, YES, this phone is capable of running Android Jellybean. But, the only way to get Jellybean (and even KitKat) on this device is by rooting, installing a custom recovery, and flashing an unofficial Jellybean ROM. PLEASE NOTE THAT BY DOING THIS YOU WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY. Here is a link to a jellybean ROM: This ROM supports CDMA (Verizon) as well as GSM. You can use either with it. I DID NOT MAKE THIS ROM. Most of HTC android phones does not come with stock installed file browser. But that is not a problem as play store have plenty of them. Just go to play store and search for file manager (I would recommend that of Rhythm Software).

Hi Rajeesh.....its a great decision of selecting the HTC 6425 smart phone. Am also using the same phone in Bahrain and had the same issue while trying to download the application from play store. Follow the following steps:- 1. Power off your mobile 2. After power off, press the volume down key in the side pannel and keep pressing the power on button until the phone boots. 3. Then a screen will come with the option of factory reset. This you have to select by using the volume up and down key. Once you select this bar press the power button at top. your phone will erase all data and set to factory and then you login with your gmail you it will perfectly work and you can download all the apps without any trouble. in case of any more doubts am in whatsapp @ +973 36645001.keep in touch

I have had this phone since December 2011 (near it's release). I have had very little problems with this phone and I feel it is the perfect phone for me. The main pros for me were the LTE capability, the amazing sound quality, and the camera. I mostly use my phone as an mp3 player/Pandora streamer; camera; e-mail and text; internet. The phone stands up well with no scratches/cracks after 10 months of dropping it. Also should note: The phone came with Beats earbuds. My first pair broke, but it was one of the easiest processes I've gone through to replace with HTC. Just call, and they will without question swap with you.

Check your facts. LTE requires a SIM. On top of that, the rezound has unofficially had global capabilities for quite some time; an official global update is being deployed now (as well as an RUU). So yes, it will work with a GSM network. What tier of data service that you can use depends on the network types, expect 2G.

this is a very good phone but i like it a lot but it is very problematic (many problems). In my case i like its features but as i said a problematic phone the first actual rezound crashed on me. Now im at the second rezound that verison wireless has sent me and my screen doesn't turn on but the red touch buttons do. On my screen there are various colors in a wave across my screen. I cant see anything but i can feel the pulse that when i touch the screen i feel the vibration/pulse. Personally i like it but if you're a person like me, i'd say get an iphone!

This phone is amazing! The speaker is loud, so it's easy to listen to music in the shower. The fact that it comes with Beats headphones is always a plus! The camera is great with amazing picture quality and a great zoom capability. I recently found out this phone has the screenshot option by pressing and holding the power button and pressing the home button simultaneously. I recommend to any and everybody.

This is a great phone. I've had many too. Its quick, amazing screen, fits well in hand. I have the HTC extended battery with it. So its a lil more thicker. But I'm fine with that. The battery life was very short until I got the ex battery. Now I cannot complain.. I haven't used the Dre Beats Ear buds but I can tell the difference with regular headphones as well. This phone is worth every penny. Its not a quad core. But it is very responsive with the 1.5 dual core snap.. I give it a 4.7 our of 5. 5 if the screen was slightly wider. That is all :)

The fact is, while it is what it is, other manufacturers put basically just as tough glass on their products. If you would argue that point, I'll only give in enough to say it's too close to argue as far as quality from gorilla glass to what other products are used. It happens to just have been the "buzz". It's become a household word, just like Kleenex is a brand and Formica, yet most tissue is refered to as kleenex, and many counter top products are refered to as formica. I have yet to hear of cellphone faces shattering because they're not "gorilla glass". Listen, you'll sell what you've got, but it's more of the sizzle, and over hyped imo.

On Verizon's older phones, you could not (unless you were connected to WiFi for data). On this phone, though, I have been able to use web browsers, Facebook, etc. while on the phone and while on a 3G connection. (I keep 4G turned off when I don't need it to save battery.)

The verizon LTE system is GSM based. Thats what the sim is for. This will NOT work on AT&T. Verizon LTE is 700 MHz, AT&T uses 850, 900, 1800, 1900 for Edge and 850 and 1900 for 3G.

It depends on your usage. The Mali-400 is better at some points of usage and u cud say that the adreno 220 is better by a feather. As far as Processors are concerned, The SGS2 is STILL the best phone in that area of expertise. It uses the Exynos chipset and a ARM Cortex A9 chip. You linked to the AT&T model. The original Galaxy SII features a 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9 Processor, and also a Mali-400MP GPU. So, yes. The Rezound should be faster then the Galaxy SII (unless you live in the US), maybe not blazing past it, but theoretically it should be a little bit faster (300MHz). It all comes down to the software.

I plan on gettin this new HTC rezound tomorrow but I'm a little worried. Right now I have the Droid incredible 2- which turned out to only disappoint me rather than make me happy. Don't get me wrong it has a great camera. But the Signal connection and dropped calls constantly is terrible and frequent. The weather app has never worked since the day I bought it. Speaker during calls sometimes does not work. This Droid has very unstable signal and poor telephone reception. Internet freezes at times and forces to close. Yes it's nice but it's 342ppi Vs iPhone's 325ppi so it's only 16ppi difference and it's not a huge difference since the iphone's retina display is going to go up again in the summer when the screen gets bigger and the screen will also be HD I'm guessing it's going to be more than 350ppi. iPhone 4 took it up a notch and there hasn't been any phone thar has more ppi density than the HTC Rezound well until the new iPhone HD is released in the summer or fall and once again the iPhone will be on top. As far as I have xperienced and reviewed lively each hi end device thats topping the chart from each of the brands in the market, only HTC stands for overall quality, performance and specs. When I consider main aspects like audio quality through headset(SRS) and loudspeaker, OS and UI, specs(hardware and apps), battery life, screen size, reliable product, signal quality, revalue,etc., HTC is the overall player to stand right there on top as eventhough SE has got most of the qualifying stuff, it loses on internal storage and the touch sensitivity as they are still on a resistive screen by usability, HTC is super sensitive in that department, SE sucks on loudspeaker quality on hi end phones, Samsung and LG are almost there but now with the disappointing unnatural audio quality and a promise of good battery life with a condition to keep the brightness at 2nd level(this is due to their Amoled screens' emergence which is the only way for them to stand in the market right now, wherein BB and iphone are stuck with their own OSs and way too high pricing with less competitive specs to stand especially the screensize and after-buy cost to buy their apps which is not the case with android and WP devices, Nokia with their dull faces(screen and design) does not smile proud to stand on the stage too. Acer has reported issues in their built software which is a problem with their devices often. HTC used to promise less on their reviews and specs but offered more in realtime usage. In recent days they advanced to satisfy consumers with their ballistic specs and genuine brand promise. HTC has it all but i suggest they concentrate on offering good handsets at the low price segment as well to get their consumer bracket really wide as there are still people in my Office who don't know the name HTC(not joking). But HTC!!! wonderful- you are quietly brilliant.

no. 1 Htc sensation xe cuz its superb with specs as well as display and entertainment. no. 2 HTC rezound becuz even though its very well speced its battery is bad with only 1620 mah. the display is only s-lcd hence a drain of battery for normal usage u have to charge twice a day this is the problem with evo 3d too so i dont mention evo 3d in the top 3. no. 3 htc vivid. Note that all HTC phones including sensation have a very bad battery life due to the hog htc sense. and the s-lcd display. they have to be used very less if u want the battery to last a day.. i mean to say that they all cant handle more than 3 hours of continuous usage.. I am experinced with htc and with android... therefore i suggest if u wanna buy htc just becuz of sense then dont.. cuz sooner or later u will get bored with sense and then ultimately root your phone and then install custom roms.. every 4 months. i suggest u buy a sgs2 and then root it immediately and install check rom with speedmod kernel... u may hate the ui but the battery lasts almost for 8 hours continuos usage.. i am telling u.. the display is far more visible at half brightness in the sun that the s-lcd is visible at full brightness... its not magic that sgs2 is at the top just buy sgs 2 and u wont regret it but with htc u wont get as many options to install custom roms as u will; get in sgs2.. In regard to hardware specs, the the rezound is SUPERIOR to the nexus galaxy: 1.5 dual core vs. 1.2, 8meg rear cam vs. 5meg, 2meg front can vs 1.3, 346ppi pixel density vs 341ppi, better build quality and better audio quality! According to specs released so far I believe the HTC Vigor is or will be the best out there unless another handset is released to compete with it...apart from the processor which can be comparable to other handset the innovation on this phone is the screen resolution (PPI)well above all competitors including the Iphone4 and the "BEATS" sounds which should make this phone much much better than the Galaxy S2...JUST CAN'T WAIT FOR MINE.

These specs are not accurate, not if it iis going to be on Verizon's network. Hspa networks are T-Mobile and att, Verizon is cdma/evso, look closer before you say somethin like that..

I know these comments are usually dismissed as BS, but I had a chance to mess with one for about 1 minute. I know someone who is a alpha & beta tester for VZW. These specs are accurate! Although the unit I played with looked slightly different. (but prereleases usually do)I passed on the Bionic for this beast.

sry to say that, but the vigor won't pack a 8960 krait processor! the 8960 does come along with a new Adreno 225 GPU although it would be really nice if htc would use this, the leaked benchmark shows up that the vigor is still using an adreno 220 GPU, so unfortunately no krait processor

Along with the "leaked" samsung info about. A 720p phone, the Vigor could be one of the first two smartphones offering 720p resolution (although they'll need fairly large screens to effectively display such hi resolutions). And if by chance the Vigor sports the MSM8960 this could a real competitor to the S2 lineup with that qualcomm cpu supposedly using far less energy. Either way it is great to see HTC producing topend devices.

Think about the resolution of this display. If you ask me, 720p displays on phones are kind of useless. On a 4.3 inch screen, the bigger the resolution, the smaller the text (and everything else) will be. .So, you'll still need to zoom in on webpages. Hence, you won't really need 720p. Oh, and many apps will look bad. And let's not forget the performance hit it will get. Bigger resolution means much more work for the GPU, so basically this phone could be slower than the Galaxy S2.

Awesome features!! 1.5 GHZ Dual Core CPU isn't bad! :) I really hope about a bigger internal storage as well, because they are left behind in this, but they are ahead of many other smart phone makers in terms of CPU. &abedi 75. The CPU is not even mentioned, so don't worry now.
