well, tell someone to bluetooth to you an apk of a file manager like Es Explorer...once the transfer is done, just click it in the notification panel... it will install. however, make sure settings>>security>>unknown sources is checked. cheers.

Don't be fooled. These phones are still amazing phones. You can root them and flash newer ROM's on them and they easily compete with newer phones. I still use my Sensation XE running a custom ViperS ROM and it is very quick and keeps up with newer phones. The real answer to your question is NO. There was no series continued on from this model. Simply the HTC Sensation, XE and 4G. After that they continued onto the Desire (HD) and then ONE's.

I am having HTC Sensation XE Beats Audio. 6 Months back, it has no display. I had been local authorised dealer in Tirupur and also in Coimbatore. I am informed that Battery has exhauted and a new battery to be changed. Based on the suggestion, I changed. Still No display was there. I am informed by the local service people, the display card is not functioning and to change the same. I handedover to my relative at Bangalore who has made a small service and now functioning in a fine manner.

to all the people who experience terrible performance with their sensation, such as being constantly laggy or having a poor battery life, i have experienced that too, especially after the ICS update. my theory is that htc wants users to think they need a new phone by suggesting the phone is not capable of running the newer android versions by providing a sucky last official update. the phone is actually capable of running android 4.4.4 without a problem (mine runs on cyanogenmod 11, android 4.4.4. completely lag free and average battery life of 2 days). tutorials for installing custom roms are out there, just do it and youll have an amazing phone. i recommend vipers roms, cm11, and pacrom (which is based on cm11 but has way more customization). peace out.

No more official update for Sensation..because HTC cant fix the camera bug in Jellybean.But the developers in XDA (Bruce,SebastinFM,Albinoman,Sultanxda,Shantur)ga­ve a life to my Sensation.My suggestion is to unlock your device and install custom rom. Now i have Jelly bean 4.1.2 with Sense 5 Rom with sense 6 Blinkfeed.Even you can install 4.4.4 Kitkat(but has voip bugs)

open ur back casing n clean all the three copper points very gently... the top two points are for the wi fi... they are the antena sensation has this prob in almost every set used roughly... but be very carefull u could break those points n then no wifi for ever :P if not usefull so change ur casig n then try will def work... u just hav to push the point a lill up so the contact should be tight enough to complete the antena contact to activate the wifi... thankyou...

Me too, i cant connect to wifi networks. Why is this update behaving this way? HTC do something quick. In the first place, I didn't want to update but because it was 4.0.3 so I thought I should and here I am left with wifi connectivity problem.

There is no Official Jelly Bean update for Sensation XE. You can get even kikat if you Root your mobile. I have Jelly bean 4.1.2 with Sense 6 Vipers Rom. no Lag, no Freeze and stable too.

I'll just put this simply, the phone itself is in no way bad, but the OS is just kinda bad as it is. As a phone modder, this phone is one of THE phone to get. After flashing custom OS such as Viper which is now Sense 5. The phone performance skyrockets. And if you want KitKat-y goodness feel free to try anything else, enable ART mode runtime, and feel your phone overpowering even new devices lately.

This is my review about this after using it for more than 1 year: +great build quality, from alumunium +fastest CPU at 2011 (1.5 ghz) +good camera(8MP), if compared to the competitor( Galaxy S2,LG Optimus 2X) +bundled with BEATS Audio (urBeats)which gives you a great experience while listening to music inside your Sensation XE +HTC Sense, the nicest UI among the others -Death grip issues (losing signal of mobile network or wifi if you covered the upper back side or the lower back side) -Battery drains fast, less than 4 hours if you use it for full gaming -Audio Output is very disappointing, its not powerful -Free RAM always at 100mb (586mb available from 768mb)because HTC Sense needs more memory to operate it (B*M also eats your ram) -VERY BAD RAM MANAGEMENT, try to use it for multitasking, and it will be VERY VERY LAGGY!! -__- (Already using CUSROM Sense Based) that's all from me.. hope its useful To be honest, I'm disappointed with this phone. Been using it for two years, always overclocked, never resting. Stepped on it, always dropping it. Once even a car drove over it. Just some little scratches on it. The magic formula is unibody aluminum case and the inside-curved glass. It protects the phone screen so good, that it never breaks. Also it gives the device a great cooling system. The specifications should state the curved glass and unibody case. Its a very important design feature. One that keeps me changing my phone to new one. I am still waiting a phone that would be at least as good considering the design quality. Also, now with stylus. Stylus is somehow something not worth mentioning as GSM Arena seems to think. I cannot search phones by having stylus for some strange reason.

I have this phone for 6months facing the same problems 1. Battery backup is only 7-8 hours on standby if doing nothing i.e. if i don't even touch the phone. However, it last 11hrs with juice defender if i don't touch the phone after full charge with the 1730 Mah battery. 2. Signal loses a lot, my docomo sim works in it but bsnl sim doen't work. Even with airtel during calls the signal quality is poor. However good features the phone may have, but the main feature the phone must have are good battery backup and call quality. These both are bad in this phone. After more than a year with my sensation xe I'm satisfied with it. I'm not a gamer but I'll share some tips for battery and performance improvement: Display: obviously use auto brightness or an app like lux from Google play. Wifi: keep it on all the time but disable performance under wifi advanced setup. Wifi is more efficient. network:use only 3g when possible to avoid changing networks often. Google services: check which services are on all the time, I found them pretty battery consuming. Root: after a year I installed a 4.2.2 cyanogenmod mod custom rom and so far the performance is better, so I recommend this. You first need to unlock bootloader in HTC developer website, then root the device and install your rom. there is a lot of info in the Internet.

i've had mine for just on 14 months now and suprisingly is still ticking over not to say it dosn't have its issues . 1st battrey life -poor so i carry a spare. 2nd charger socket is poor qulity and chiped on the 3 mouth of owning the phone which i was told by the car-phone warehouse wasn't a warrenty repair and i'd have to pay to get it fixed -so i didn't and just charge it now on a flat surface. 3rd weight its bloody heavy from a modern phone 4th signal ,no matter where i am the signal zones in and out all the time . now the plus's touch screen is very well behaved and all though it dose get hot when playing games it cools its self relativly quickly .it takes some fab pics,and the audio system is great original head phones and memory card still going strong , no screen protecter not a scratch on it and will be going on to another careful owner in 4 months when i get my upgrade will be sad to see it go .

I have it for about 6 months. Battery was a problem, but then i downloaded Batery Doctor and it lasts for a day now. I upraged it on ICS and it is working well, but its procesor is overheating. Compare to Samsung Galaxy S2, the HTC Sensation XE is slower in processing speed, lower internal user memory, lower RAM memory. Only this three disadvantages. Everything is just perfect (only compare to S2) and better user interface (custom program by HTC).

Got this phone for five days. It's battery was poor life, hsdpa connectivity was poorest. I rest to factory settings. Remove the battery and memory card and place them again. Now it's much better. Guys i have this phone and i have to say that is awesome, but the 768mb of ram is a limitation in fact some hd games like real racing with full effects is laggy wth stock rom, then i updated to VIPERS JB and everything is smooth as the htc one x. The phone is good but think about the ram, if you must install lots of apps i have to say that this phone is not good enough for you.

There's are numbers of issue that I have encounter for this model. No. 1> Whole phone software reset/ reload when press on home button (when open many programs at one time). No. 2 > System performance slowing down when ram memory is almost full (768 GB RAM... haizzz). No.3 > When logout FB completely, people integration takes time to regenerate lists of contact numbers on the phone. When login to FB,... again... is time consuming to setup contact again (good and bad for contact integration).....contact account processing speed very slow....XP. No. 4> Pickup call sometime don't know what happen! No sound, no voice after pickup then Miss call report generated.... XP No. 5> Ringing volume is just too soft .....haizzz. My phone is running on ICS 4.0.3 with Sense 3.6

I have Ones and I'm enjoying it. you have to update it for solve WiFi problem. but over all it good enough to make me buy htc one . I had htc incredible s before Sensation XE is a little bit faster . i like htc sense gui.it useful and have good design . it fast , have good size and still , little heavy , but need to recharge everyday when you using it on internet and listening to music this screen using lot of you buttery life.

i have a xe indian version and i dont have the beats headsets. in rest is perfect it runs on ICS 4.0.3. the phone waz upgrading it self from 2.3..... i gest had to press agree and next and agree and next and that waz it. i had some problems with location data but 1 restart waz enough too fix it self. i want to instal some rom from venom VIPER 1.6.3.. I believe this phone will get JB update as well, however the one v that you mentioned won't get it for sure ( htc claimed ), so don't look at the date of the phone, some newer phones are worse, I think this one is still worth to buy

Make sure u have installed all the steps one by one.. If it stuck on htc boot logo then dont panic.. Just take off ur battery and put it again and hold volume down key and press power on button.. Keep holding down volume key untill it boots in bootloader... Now go to recovery and full wipe ur system except memory card After thatchoose install from sd card..and install viper once again... I am sure it will work

First of all ur device is not soff and bootloader is locker... to check it do following step- 1. remove ur battery and insert it back 2. hold down volume key and press power on.. It will show ur bootloader and soff or son information.. Rooting is not easy... It takes time But u can do it.. You have to do 2 things- unlock bootloader and s off 1. To get unlock botloader visit- and follow all the steps than u will be unlock ur bootloader... Its quite easy... 2. Get soff It is not easy method but follow the instruction and u will get soff... visit Please note that wire trick is must in soff... Use a single wire like lan wire... Very soon it will be updated to jelly been and sense 4.5 3. Beat audio, surround sound, dts, xloud.... all are working..U will get amazed by the sound quality 4. Camera is excellent with HDR... Ater using camera I was surprised that my xe can capture so detailed and crispy clear image and super 1080p recording... Camera is far far far better from Stock rom... I love my camera 5. Sound is improved..Equilizer is present 6. Bravia engine makes display better 7. battery life is increased 8. Swipe to wake... I love this application 9. Add remover... Now install any application and no adds will display 10. This rom will further update over the air just like stock rom 11. More free ram.. For lag, try the app "Seeder" (free on xda or $1-$2 in the app store). My previous phone was a very old budget phone, and seeder changed it from unusable from severe lag to super fast, and it had like 1/8th the specs of the XE. Beyond that, I guess flashing a custom ROM would be the next step to speed increase. I use ARHD, and its so fast that I underclock to 1.3Ghz (to perserve battery), and there is still no noticable lag at all.

I've used four android phones and although HTC Sensation XE still has limitations, it's the best android phone I've used so far. I'm not actually using the phone for heavy graphic games anymore ever since I got an iPad. Having said that, the limited RAM limits your multi-tasking. You have to constantly close applications that you're not using anymore. A few months ago, my unit also had some problems with the LCD but the service center was able to fix it without any charge. But apart from that, I love: - the UI; it's much sleeker than the usual Android UI - it's far more responsive than my LG Optimus 2x although the specs aren't that different - call quality is also good - comes with a beats headset! But it makes me wonder though if I would be better off switching to iPhone. I haven't had a lag-free experience in any Android phone (Sony, Samsung, LG and HTC) and it's a bummer especially when you're looking for a contact in the phonebook.

I think almost all the htc phone have a low loudness speaker(I already have 4 different type of HTC). may be its their way to keep the speaker at most performance and dont break cause the loudness.but u can use a lot application on play store that can increase the volume of the speaker.but the sound on headset on HTC is still one of the best

hi all im facing problems in play store in my sensation. the images and screen shots are not loading in play store. it displays the message "cant load screen shots". im using wifi connection with high speed but the images are not showing and when using data connection the images are loading. . i have contacted google on this issue and they mentioned to clear cache and data in play store app and download manager. but nothing worked for me i have also unistalled updates in play store app and again open the play store it gets updated to latest version 3.10.14 but the images are not showing. so i cant figured out yet where the problem exist? is there any setting to be changed with the wifi connection? anyone who came out of this issues please help me . it makes me frustrating from many days. .

cons for this phone would be the playback sound after you record videos. and the death grip (losing wifi or mobile signal when touching the top right side of the phone).. sound quality is bad when playing music thru loudspeaker, but works well when using beats headset

I really had a bad experience with this phone! I've been to the service center for 8 times! each time it took them almost a month to return back the phone. image 8 months without a phone. Their call center sucks! Promise to call back but no one care to call back. This come from their manager! After much complain I requested for a different model, they said my phone value is already drop and only can give me a lower model (they call it upgrade. I told them thats DOWNGRADE!). Image that! I was furious! I was adamant and manage to get a better model. I'm selling that & Trust me this will be the LAST TIME I'LL WILL EVER USE HTC PRODUCT!

I got a sensation xe 6 weeks ago. I would recommend this phone. 1. The camera is very good - a lot of cameras on smart phones are garbage. Don't ignore this point. Having a good camera is worth a lot in my opinion. 2. The processor is very good also. If you don't want to pay for a top of the line phone with 4 cores (which is a waste of money if you aren't either running a business with your phone or overly wealthy), then this is about the best processor you will get for a non top-of-the-line price (it is less than half of those phones). 3. The hardware build looks very solid. It even feels like its a very well built phone when you see it 4. The audio with beats is good 5. The display is great too 6. Price now is that of the newer budget phones, but the quality is higher Overall very good The downsides are: 1. Battery life is meh, but they are on most phones. To improve it, use an app like 'llama' or 'automateit' to automatically change settings for you, such as auto turn brightness down to 30% when at home and up to 100% when out, have sync turned off by default and every half hour automatically have it turned on for 2 minutes. you should also root it to change processor governor, and ROM maybe to change other settings (I am very happy with ARHD 6.8.0). With all that, I need to recharge every 36 hours but I don't use it heavily. you probably will need to charge every night - or during the day also if you use it a lot - basically like other phones like s2, etc 2. Yes HTC seems to not care about upgrading the JB. it is a bummer for sure Honestly though, this phone is so nice on my rooted ICS HTC Sense rom (ARHD), that I would still choose it again even with these 2 downsides. But of course it is best to know of these 2 downsides before you purchase it. I think you will need to pay a lot more money to get a phone of this quality. Good luck.

Ok so i work for Orange, now ee, and i bought this handset, and ever since i have i have had the following problems. 1, first of all, the beats by dre headphones stopped working after the first week,second pair stopped working after week 2,apparently if this happens they must be sent off to holand to be fixed. 2, Started turning off randomly so sent it off, HTC sent it back stating no problem could be found, now the battery works for only 5 hours, htc advised me buy another battery. I wont buy an htc again, and i rearly sell them now also. Really disapionted by you htc....

I am using HTC Xe for 8mos now and I havent had any issues with the battery and the System itself. it perfectly runs with ICS, its fast, esp web browsing. It looks really decent and elegant. the 8mp camera is awesome, i keep on taking photos with my XE rather than my digicam, coz this one's handy. i dont know why others having issues with their htc, well i guess it is on how you took care of your phone folks.

this is an issue happened to a guy.read it below. Please don�t purchase HTC phones from India ********************************* I was in love with my HTC Sensation XE, till I have to contact hTC Service Center for a touch issue The touch screen suddenly stopped working. It won�t work as soon as I lock the phone, and I have to remove the battery and put it back to get it worked. But the problem will again happen as soon as I lock it. My phone was under warranty and I have given my phone for service on 22 Jan 2013 ( Redington India LTD , Cochin). The local service people inspected the phone and did software update, but as the issue persisted, they handed it over to Bangalore service center. I handed over the phone to local service center without any physical damage. There was nothing mentioned in the hTC C are Service Report too, and they said it�s covered under warranty. Now I am shocked to hear that HTC is not going to serve it under warranty as there is damage in board or something like that and they are asking me to pay INR 13000 in order to rectify the issue. I CAN EASILY BUY A NEW PHONE WITH THIS AMOUNT. I don�t want to spend any more money on this expensive phone which I bought for 34k , I am totally disappointed the way HTC handle their customers. I didn't get a proper reply when I called the customer care. I really regret purchasing this expensive devise and totally disappointed with Service Center experience. HTC India U Sucks

Hi guys.. I got HTC One V. before I got it, I have HTC Hero. Same problems happened with the different phone units. when I connect the phone to my laptop to charge it its fine but if I plug it to an outlet its getting hot on top. and the battery life sucks too. easily consumed even if I'm just using it for sending SMS. I think HTC should fix the problem regarding the battery life. the phone itself is good and I really love it it's just that I'm getting pissed with the battery

Hi My phone has the same software and sense version In fact it lasts 30 hrs when you don't use it that much: 2 hours wifi 2 hours music... On heavy usage it won't last more than 9 hours (3G-music games videos...) I suggest you to keep brightness 0 when you re at home, turn off wifi or 3g when not using them and keep don t keep apps runing on the background( press and hold home key and swipe all apps running)

i think this phone is quite ok, except one serious malfunctioning. sometimes cannot receive sms, and no indicating on this, so my friends will be very sad thought i blacklist them.

I've had this phone for around a month now and I can say that I am more than satisfied with it! It's a great phone! Only draw back? Very low memory available. The max amount of RAM you may get is 200MB but the average is 120MB. Despite that point; great great phone.

Just to give you my point of view. I'm using this phone almost a year know. First the answers to your questions: 1) Photo quality is OK in normal light conditions. In lower light conditions it will become gradually worse. I can not compare this to the phone you want it to be compared with. 2) Video quality is pretty much the same as photo quality. In good light conditions it's OK (that doesn't mean wicked, but enough). The audio for the video is terrible (if a lot of noise is produced). If just one person is speaking, or a bird is singing, or situations like that, it's ok, but for the other situations, which appear to happen more, it's really bad (no good audio filtering it seems). 3) Beats audio is wicked, I really like this feature, although it's only enabled with the built in audio system, so if you use other apps for playing music, this will probably not work (or not that I now of). The ears that come with the sensation xe are really really good! Certainly a plus. The quality of the speaker of the sensation xe is not that good (can't go very loud and if it's very loud it will be noise). Now just to give you other advice: Some downpoints I noticed: - Phone falls out sometimes (which means a few times each week, which I find annoying) - Battery can become hot. --> these are both battery problems and I read something about changing the battery or putting a paper between it and the cover to solve the problem (haven't tried that yet). - Sometimes it's laggy. Rest is pluspoint I suppose. I wouldn't buy this phone anymore, because htc is very slow in updating software (android 4.1 came out in like July or something and it's still not on the sensation xe right now in January). Therefor I would probably buy a Nexus (read Google) phone that will support updates right away. Also the fall out problem I really find irritating, certainly if a call comes in. My advice, search a little bit further and you will find better phones now (One X+, Samsung SIII, Nexus 4,...). Good luck on your search. Grtz, D.

I have this phone and mine came with ICS so I'm pretty sure that you can get ICS on this phone. (Also, don't say that it is just a custom rom or anything, the moment I got the phone and turned it on and checked the android version it said Version 4.04, i.e ICS)

Probably u did not like the phone because u did not know to use it as any phone u buy in the market today will hung if u fill the phone with apps how can the phone perform in that case, coming to the camera the camera is just awesome my friends just love their pic removed from my phone as the clarity and sharpness is very good u probably be using the camera on less mega pixel that might be the reason u r not getting a good picture when u click. better u reset ur phone to factory settings and then check.

This is the third htc i bought since touch, wildfire stil the problems for syncing with outlook is limited, the most easiest is xperia arc S then samsung note, samsung galaxy tab also have the same problems as well. I bought this sensations for quite cheaps comparing others w/ dual cores above 1.5 , among other things the performance, the quality are good

happened with me, its mostly because the metal grill cover on the earphone starts touching the speaker inside, you can fix it by simply carefully pry out the metal grill after you take out the rubber on it'd end, with a screw driver or something and paste it back, u ll thank me for this

For those who plan to buy this phone, when you have fully crowded your memory, it hangs a lot. The characters and icons get deformed like it was squashed or like it was infected by virus. Ive been using the phone for 6 months now and not really happy with the performance of it. Try getting Samsung S3, its better. I got one of it and its functioning perfectly. The camera and video quality are not good as well. Although it's a high megapixel phone, its quality is like a VGA phone only. Cant be compared to Sony Eric's cam and video quality.

Rooting is possibly the best thing you can do to your phone. By rooting your phone, you can let your phone run the way it was supposed to run. Sure, you forfeit future updates but you can do a temp un-root to apply the update and re-root after. So far, I have rooted both my HTC Wildfire S and my Sensation XE and they both run 3x faster then they did un-rooted. Custom ROM on my Wildfire S (as it's no longer getting updates) and stock ROM on my Sensation. If they break, they are pretty easy to fix if you look online. But even if you can't, HTC will take the phone and repair at a cost and it's not that expensive.

1. Temple Run runs smoothly, but I can't find FRONTLINE COMMANDO in PLAY STORE, even you downloaded the apk, its still said LOADING, "I DON'T KNOW WHY" 2. Battery life must be the first problem that faced in many android phones. The problem with all HTC updates is the fact that they are not done locally BUT all done in Taiwan! I complained to the customer services department and the manager forwarded my email to Taiwan I suggest everyone does the same if you want the upgrade quicker! Question the sanity of whoever decided to upgrade or install (newer models come with ICS) the 4.0.3 version WHICH IS KNOWN TO HAVE NUMEROUS PROBLEMS and is a criminal action in your country (check your countries consumer laws first to make sure is) on HTC's part to release/install a faulty OS causing numerous problems to the phone! The evidence is everywhere that 4.0.3 is unstable and should never of left Google its not an HTC issue other makers like Samsung issued to their galaxy II and caused themselves a huge headache with owners accusing them of sabotaging their phones in an underhand attempt to make them purchase the galaxy 3 I believe Samsung issued a 4.0.4 version to their customers HTC are slow their patch did not work!

Yes, same thing happen on my phone sometimes I got same error. I bought 16gb and now it works fine though sometimes if I transfer movies to my phone it normally shows the error. What I did id remove the battery and restart the phone. Do you have any suggestion or ideas?

Try to change the date of your phone. Change the year from 2012 to 2013 and than try to search for update. I do not not know if it works, i do not have a htc phone but i heard it might work. you can not damage your phone if you do that. try it

This phone that I got right now is good. The physical appearance is elegant, beats audio is cool, speed in browsing is average but the camera, video recorder and sound recorder quality are poor. I hope HTC can come up with a unit in the future that will fix these areas. I expected much with the HD video of HTC Sens XE and I got disappointed. There's much noise in it. I also experienced a bug here where the widgets disappeared when I was trying to access the 'browse all HTC widgets" and I had to factory reset the phone for it to appear again which I discovered in a forum as well about this phone.The album art in music gallery does not also update accordingly. It sometimes copies the pictures you have in your stored pictures in the gallery. Overall, these are the things that need improvement but I still love my phone. :)

Just bought HTC sensation XE, just test the grip. Not affect the network signal but will affect the wireless. When grip the phone near the wireless source, the wireless drop 1 bar only. If I go upstairs (weaker wireless signal), the wireless signal will drop significantly (4 bar) when I grip it. And I also uncomfortable with the extra charge(USD 70++) of beat earphone, it should be given with the phone. The rest not bad. Hopes it last long enough. This is my comments.

Very good phone, worth getting it, good Memory, fast and responsive, screen gets warm though. The other only thing is the fact that all HTC have WiFi dead spot on top of phone so try too be careful when holding it sideways. It got good music player and beats headphone really effective... 9/10 phone all together. WiFi death grip is really only thing that's currently an issue but good all rounder In web browsing. Tip: don't get ice cream sandwich because it bit buggy in my opinion.. that's all.

I am using this HTC phone since 2 weeks and its works awesome.... though the phone is a bit heavy, it attracts thru' its stunning looks, awesome camera and video quality! android OS, big screen, secondary camera, Radio(many HTC phones don't have FM radio), double LED flash, WAP and much more...... But battery back-up is limited(but this is in case of all smart phones and cant be considered as a drawback!!) when played games continuously for 30 to 40 mins with accelerometer, it shows a warning to charge ur battery! Internet browsing is fast.. I will be using the internet most of the times! ofc mail box wil be in sync and facebook will be used 24*7! the phone is decent to charge once a day with 20 mins games, 45 mins video, all time internet , 90 mins of phone calls and other browsing! :) Finally i can conclude that I am very happy with my HTC ;)

After I got the software update last night to my Sensation XE ICS,my SOFTWARE# now is 3.33.707.106,the two minor bugs from ICS update last March were FIXED,literally FIX,the connectivity of my WiFi is fast and the bluetooth sharing and receiving files are back again to normal job..Thank you HTC:)

The update is available to everyone you dont need to go to the developers website just follow the steps and your phone should be updated. Menu > Settings "Now Scroll Extreme Down in Settings" > About Phone > Software Update Now click "Check Now" Your phone will now check for updates and it will tell you the latest update available for your phone just click on the update link and it will start downloading it, once done it will be installed and your phone will be updated. I have just been doing some research and in fact Lithium Polymer and Lithium Ion cost the same to manufacture and produce, in some cases Lithium Polymer is actually cheaper! There is no real difference in battery capacity except that Lithium Polymer can go through more charge cycles without losing capacity. Lithium Polymer is also lighter and can be shaped into virtually anything which would help manufacturers make even thinner phones (which personally I don't want them to) because they can mold the battery around the components. In regards to why manufacturers don't use Lithium Polymer, some already do, Apple being one of them along with Sony Ericsson who have it in a few of their devices. There is no perceivable reason that I can see why most manufacturers won't use Lithium polymer other than the fact that they take longer to wear out, but with a lot of current phones having user replaceable batteries, I cannot see that being a big problem. I hope you see reason in these words and do some research before you blurt out any more rubbish next time, thank you!

i recently brought my htc sensation xe.with in one month i had a pblm on on/off button and they replaced the mother board.and now my mbl is suddenly blanking but still the buttons at the bottom are glowing.when i took the mobile to the service center they change the software but the pblm is still continuing..i used the mobiles in nokia and sony..but i didnt experince this like problems..in nokia just there is a software pblm and they will rectify it within halfan hour..but in htc they are taking one day...worst service..

All Sensation Xe users. before updating your phone to ics.... please format your memory card from phone n then make factory restore. After that download and install your ics...... 100% no issue with ICS all games running perfectly and dnt found any lag.

S2 is the favourinte in second hand market, guess and find the reason, why people are selling S2 after only a few months of use. Or just check the opinion about S2 in GSM arena. About XE, I sold it for half price after 1 month, u dont get fascinated by the features. Once you buy, you will get irritated with the issues. It got some inherent restarting issues, wifi issues, connecting to android market(could be virus j just check 'waiting for install android' in google to find the issues in XE. No known solution is found yet. These issues appears, only if you are connected in internet, else it is amazing and awsome. Also, its incall colume and singnal range is no so good. Everything else is great. Battery backup is desent. If you still need XE, go for a second hand, to avoid the great difference when you sell it !

Phone is awesome, I would give it a 4.5 out of five I have to issues but - Louder Speaker output is low (suggest any solution if anyone has ) - Battery really sucks (I only get 6-7 hrs out my battery )

If you care about having the latest Android updates, I'd recommend S2 over XE... HTC always abandon their previous phones. Moreover, Samsung already conformed the Jellybean update for the S2. S2's camera is a bit better than XE's [personal experience] Anyway, it's up to you to decide...

Here is a comparison, you decide which one has the features and specs that you want. On play.com they are the same price - £385 approximately - that is brand new and unlocked. The HTC Sensation XE has beats audio, so if you are a big music listener, that is a good reason to go for that phone over the S2. They both have 4.3 inch screens but the HTC Sensation XE has a ppi of 256 whereas the Galaxy S2 has a ppi of just 217. But the S2 has a super AMOLED plus display with deeper blacks and better colour reproduction compared to the Sensation XE's S-LCD display. The Sensation XE and the Galaxy S2 run android 4.0 (The XE runs 4.0.3 whereas the S2 runs 4.0.4). The XE runs HTC Sense 3.6 whereas the S2 runs Samsung Touchwiz 4.0. Look up videos on YouTube or test out the phones to see which one you prefer. The XE has a 1.5GHz dual core Snapdragon S3 processor whereas the S2 has a 1.2GHz dual core Exynos processor. I would say that there was not much noticeable difference between the 2 as although the S2 is clocked at a lower speed, Exynos is faster than Snapdragon s3. The battery life is about the same due the the XE's bigger battery but more demanding processor and screen. The both have 8MP cameras with 1080p HD video. The XE has a VGA front facing camera and the S2 has a 2MP front facing camera. Both of the cameras have LED flash. I personally would recommend the XE because I am a fan of HTC Sense and I love the premium build quality, but that is totally up to personal preference. If you can stretch your budget a bit go for a Galaxy S3 or a HTC One X/S.

Lol your changing what you originally said. With the iPhone it's fashion for them not real substance and most of them purchase 8 or 16 because they can't afford the higher ones! They have to use off phone storage pc or cloud I DON'T find that acceptable and now that 32 gigabyte cards don't cost £99.99 (which is what I paid) but £29.99 and now 64 are out and 128 on the way I bet they become even cheaper and a lot of ppl will have several and DVD will start to die because if you can carry approximately 30 films around on each card and the card is the cost of 2 DVD's and you can buy films for approximately £1 you will then have 30 films for the price of 4 and storage the size of a finger nail. All they need to do now is forget lithium and make a battery from a material that will hold a charge enough to run our devices for years and be the same size so we can just swap battery and away we go

I think you are getting the wrong end of the stick here my rather feisty friend! I also believe it would be nice if storage was expandable on all devices. What I am trying to get across is that when people see that a device, such as the HTC One S or Asus Google Nexus 7, have 16GB non expandable storage, someone who uses their phone as a media device, such as myself, looks at that and thinks that it is not enough storage. But the majority of people only have 16GB or less on their SD cards. The problem is that as soon as something is non expandable, it becomes something that the customer cannot control or change, and that annoys people, myself being one of them. But I have looked at the amount of storage I use on my phone and actually, 16GB would in fact be sufficient. For you it may not, but going back to my previous point, people manage perfectly fine with 8GB and 16GB iPhones, in fact they are the best sellers, so for a lot of people 16GB is plenty enough. And the reason I am using iPhones as an example in these discussions is that they are very popular and one of the first mobile devices to use non expandable storage. On a further note, I do not have a Facebook account as I have an email address and phone number and I believe that to be perfectly sufficient. On a final word, I appreciate that you are disagreeing with what I say, and at the end of the day, these forums are very good for that. What I do not appreciate is the fact that this discussions of opinions has been turned into an argument by yourself. I am perfectly happy to continue this discussion, but hopefully in a more relaxed manner that people who are reading this can appreciate.

Just to wrap all this up, I have never once said that 16GB of storage is enough for everyone, I said it was enough for YOUR AVERAGE USER, which it is, 350 apps and games of varying sizes, around 500 photos, 30 1080p videos and 150-200 songs of a good quality. I think that would just about do most people and that takes up around 11-12GB, so there is a bit of space left over for a film or two or whatever else you fancy sticking on your device. That is the kind of stuff an average user would have on their phone. Yes, I agree, it would have been nice if HTC did a 32GB One S. But people manage perfectly fine with 8GB iPhones, so it is obviously plenty enough storage for most people. As for Samsung being made out of cheap, tacky materials, yes, I agree and I don't like it, but obviously a lot of people do as Samsung had 29.1% mobile phone market share in the first quarter of 2012. And I agree with you that iPhone screens should be bigger, but again, we are not part of the mainstream opinion as Apple had 24.1% of the mobile phone market share in the first quarter of 2012. And, finally, as for me misleading people, I am not. I look at what I do/use, I then do some research to see what other people do/use then I formulate a response from that. As for what you have said, that has all been in YOUR opinion, which is fine, but don't try and make it sound like your opinion is the final verdict on everything, because it isn't. Hi, I have upgrade my HTC Sensation XE to ICS. And its run perfectly and smoothly without any problem. ICS is much better than gingerbread for sure XD but be prepare to accept the new home screen outlook. Do get the full review of the ICS on HTC Sensation XE before you upgrade because there's no 'uninstall' selection for you to go back to gingerbread. I do make some changes for my home screen after the upgrading. I downloaded Go Launcher EX, Ice Cream Sandwich Theme and Ice Cream Sandwich keyboard. So far my HTC Sensation XE is runnung fine XD

If you want your precious adult features why would you buy an HTC in the first Place?!?! Why not a developers edition galaxy s3 or a Nexus device of some kind, those devices are designed to be messed around with! Most people who know stuff about phones buy an HTC for HTC Sense because it is beautiful and smooth, they want that, they don't want to mess around with it! And you cannot decide what looks better out if the two, it is completely up to personal preference! In regard to speed, it is only affected by your network speed if you are using an app or feature that requires a data connection! As for memory, I have a total of just over 15 Gigabytes including internal, I have a lot of photos and video, a medium sized music collection and over 300 apps of varying sizes and I still have a total of around 4 gigabytes left. And I can't imagine most people having all that plus another 4 gigabytes of stuff! Also the HTC One S comes with a decent package of drop box space so that can be used to store photos and videos among other things! And finally, iPhones and other iOS devices are not made revolving around childs features, they are made to be simple to use and easy to learn. I hope that has cleared up any doubts people have had about this, please reply if you feel the ness to carry this on further.

No the HTC Sensation XE is not better! The looks are up to you obviously but in terms of specs, the HTC One S has around the same battery life, the same screen, a massively faster processor although it is clocked at the same speed, newer software and because it is newer it will be better supported for longer in the future. I bought an HCT sensation in Vatan Computer in TURKEY and after use of 10 days, much dust started under touch screen display, and I gave service that is Teleservice (very bad service, do not buy anything warrantied by TELESERVICES) in TURKEY, also I desired them to get money back, because this is my right, laws give this right to me in TURKEY, so they do not want to give my money back and they gave me HTC sensation XE with respect to their saying, that is pleasing for customer, and also I didnt admit then I resent smartphone which was given to me (HTC sensation XE) but I must say that The phone given is not in original box and accessories, with old things was given only thing changed is the phone however you cannot understand whether the phone is original, not cloned or any changing parts such as screen,cover, battery etc. , there is no any sign about this phone is original, and the service defines in report that the cover is changed and battery also is changed, so how can I know this phone is original and why not this phone is given original box as you know Sensation XE has beats audio headphone, this application is not applicable, who can admit like this behaviour ? last thing is that Sensation Xe also has some dust and boiling when running.Huh? neither VATAN Computer and TELESERVICE are no interested with this issue. they do not want to look and interest with this problem. so do not buy anything warrantied by TELESERVICE and from Vatan Computer

No that isn't normal, it sounds like the electric current coming in from charging is passing through the the vibrating system and causing it to go off. I'm not sure what you can do about this other than to take it to a technician. I woulod recommend doing that as having the vibrator on for hours at a time will make charging take a lot longer as vibrating uses a lot of power and will wear down the vibrator, causing it to be less effective when you want it to notify you of something.

Beware when you want to update to ics with this phone. Because it has 2 fatal side effect: wifi error and self restart when you close an app. Please fix this issue HTC.. im beggin ya'... My country is indonesia and i really love my sensation xe...

I totally agree with you after i upgraded to ICS i found out on the default task manager pre-installed by htc it says 583MB of total RAM then i see 103MB free isnt this phone suppost to have 768MB of RAM and i remember i used to have atleast 200MB of RAM left.

I updated my Sensation XE last June 16 to ICS, and I think it's cooler & faster than Gingerbread. However, I think ICS is eating more RAM than Gingerbread.WiFi & bluetooth are working fine.I'm from the Philippines.

I don't know about the loading every time you go back to the home screen problem. But in regard to the 'Android is Upgrading'problem, I used to have that, I gave my phone a good clear out, getting rid of any un-necessary apps and that stopped, so try that. If that doesn't work I can't help you, sorry.

If you have a rooted phone and that screen comes up then it means the phone is dead and there is pretty much nothing you can do. If you take it to a phone mechanic they might be able to help you but it is un-likely. If you do not have a rooted phone and that screen comes up I have no idea what it means and I recommend taking it to a phone mechanic.

It is an awesome device but it is not a good phone, my phone had network problems with gsm and WiFi for no reason is losses signal ,the screen stops to respond at times and when someone calls you and your phone is locked then you won't be able answer.,besides this it will alway reboot once in three days and sometimes the phone will ring endlessly with the screen off and the buttons won't work and the only way to stop it is to remove the battery,and the battery cover makes noise my phone's battery had swelled just after a week I bought it.It's screen had been replaced ones and it is dew for replacement as the service center doesn't have the parts so it will take another month for the parts to arrive.I forgot about overheating and it become unbearable to holed or keep it in the pocket THANK GOD it turns iitself off .the inearphones one of the reasons why I bought it will loose It's volume output in the left one and it had been replaced and now I can't use it for answering calls as it starts to play songs ,it is the only way to answer calls because the screen won't respond I wish it was reliable.No update of ice cream in India forget Jelly Bean.

just got this phone a 5 days back so far im loving using this phone. in my opinion this is one of the best smart phone, and i love it. good speed good display good sound and fine battery, the only negative thing about this phone is that it starts to overheat from the the back after an application for 15 to 20min, apart from this problem this is a really good phone.

My android version is 4.0.3 too. 2 days go I received a 60 mb update and change my software number and installing takes 15 mins. then my wireless fixed and work very fine. its strong wireless... go setting==> about phone==> software update... check. if there is update go for it. if not, go to htc.com and choose your phone and chat with agent. I chatted with them several times.

yes that's it..try to kill some of the running apps in the task manager..when you see loading when u go back to the home page you're RAM is almost used up..kill the android services and settings in the advanced part of the task manager.it uses up a lot of RAM making your XE slow down.if you find it inconvenient then you can go back to gingerbread.. the only change i do not like with the ICS is that there are times when my XE restarts..it removes the songs from my playlist..so i have to rebuild it again.. another is that I experience death grip issue from time to time.. but overall.. i am satisfied with it from quality to performance.. heck..there's no such thing as a perfect phone.. =)

when you have this phone knowing that it will have a lot of problems when you update it into ICS, then dont update. just use the phone with its original OS. i noticed that most of the comments here are telling us about the problems regarding ICS. when HTC has the solution to the problems, that is the time you should update. wait for the opinions of other people and weigh your options.

the lights should only be red. it could possibly be a factory defect. you can use it whilst charging. just ensure you complete one complete battery cycle per month as not to shorten battery life i'm on ICS..
