  • Dear All, I have one titan HTC phone, but I have problem with the battary it cannot even last up to three hours. Can you help me buy a new battary?

  • I use this mobilephone for two years.i miss those apps which has the new version of windows phone (8.0)... yes, and NO FILE transfer between other bluethooth :( and sometimes the phone delete music by itself. the camera is really good.

  • the camera is excelente, the best quality that i see

  • yes

  • No

  • who in their right mind would even want an iphone or even talk about one iphones suck always have they are to small and can only do one thing at a time atleast with android it's open source and you can do whatever you want with it for the most part and the phones arnt tiny

  • thats the problem in each and everyone this days dear ... even iphone doesnt support bluetooth ... bt the features are awesome

  • its not lacking the feature just the os does not support it

  • Is it supported bangla font?

  • Guys, this phone is terrible. Honestly, lets just be truthful with each other. 1stly, the Bluetooth technology is lacking dismally. You can't even share files via Bluetooth. Only thing you are able to do is connect to the handsfree, or Bluetooth headsets. 2ndly, you can't download music files and videos directly to the phone. You can only do it via an application that can. And they are saved into the app, and not the phone's music directory. I mean, it does not make sense. Its almost as if Microsoft made this phone in a hurry. 3rdly, you can't share files and music via anything. Not even via whatsapp, email, nothing. U can only download media onto your phone. That's all. And then, the most basic thing of all, you do not have access to file directory of th phone when connected to the computer. if you have pdf files that are in your phone and need to get them into th computer, you can't. Its unbelievable! The only thing you can do when connected to th computer is exchange music, picture nd video files. U cannot copy a word document from the computer into your phone. U cannot do vise versa. Only way is if U have a an internet connection, so you can share files via SkyDrive. I am disappointed really with the titan. Very very disappointed.

  • Great phone. Its camera is marvellous,it competes with some latest android phones. Only bad thing is the lack of games in market

  • mm

  • no, can not it

  • Can the android software/ application be downloaded to this phone?

  • I like the htc titan but do feel it loads up pages painfully slowly. This has better than average battery life for a smartphone it can easily last 2 days of moderate use. I am a big lover of the massive screen and it is still greater than average in terms of schock resistance. Also very pleased with the features for the price I paid.

  • HTC Titan is different from Cherry Mobile Titan!

  • I have a HTC Titan i bought mine in the Philippines from a company called Cherry Mobile it comes with opera installed on it so im sure you can. It also has dual sims and is unlocked and can use a 32 gig memory card.

  • There is a terrible version for WP... If you desire instagran it's better get Android!

  • is it possible to install opera mini on the htc titan?if anyone out there have any idea pls help

  • seriously it cant be updated to WP8??

  • Anyone in India got WP8 OS update for this phone ???

  • good lookin and very reliable phnes

  • How did u get the update?

  • It is really great phone. Upgradeable to 7.8. I have this phone for a long time & I have a Lumia 820 also. The Lumia has only much better camera & a memory card slot. Anyway, I like this phone more, I haven't even upgraded it to 7.8, but I prefer it to Lumia(WP 8).

  • Will get update to wp 7.8?

  • Dis 4ne z awsome lumia 800 or 900 sucks comprd 2 da titan

  • No

  • Does this have gorrila glass ???

  • is instagram available on this phone?

  • can you use for skype video call. and the front camera working?

  • I got this now for about six months, been using it everyday as my only phone, i am quite pleased with it. The size of the screen is very nice and colours and brightness are all good. how ever i would recomend it if you want a phone with big screen and a fast OS.

  • is this phone good?

  • Is this phone good?

  • No, it cant be updated to Windows Phone 8

  • I've bought this phone and it is amazing. great performance, display and the UI is so good and reliable.

  • I have tested 720p and it works perfect. Its diferent the any android device u ever used, its mutch smooth and the build quality its very good 70% metal.U have the same apps like play store.

  • does this phone support 720p/1080p video playback? can this phone update to wp8 ???? im going to buy a phone and i dont want to buy android devises anymore . but i dont know anything about wp phones . thank u in advance

  • I have Lumia800 and it is out of this world.

  • Will HTC Titan Get The Up Coming Update 7.8?

  • Will The Update 7.8 has Arabic support?

  • but it is 8mpixl not 16mpixle

  • I use titan old phone which I bought 6 years ago,it's an.awesum fone,no need for a gym if u have this fone,u can increase ur biceps wit that awesome fone

  • No but it will get wp7.8

  • I got my Titan a few months back now and I love it. I've had other high end phones and this one in my opinion is far far better. 16mp camera takes awesome photos. The free apps you can get for it are endless and extremely handy. There's no password to remember to get to all the available apps. Very user freindly. One app gives the ability to take a complete spherical ball photo of your suroundings, that up down and sideways, looking at one of those photos is like your there. Like panaramic on steroids. I could not rate this phone high enough. I think the only reason everyone hasn't got one is they're to use to the common brands. If your looking for a new phone get a titan and you won't regret it. Plus you'll anoy your friends when they see how much better your phone is than theirs. Fair dinkum, your friends are gunna cry if they're locked into a contract with ANY other phone.

  • is it updateable to windows 8?

  • can u set the alarm so that u can turn the fone off at nite and the alarm still sounds in the mornin :)

  • is there any way to dial Native 3g call ?

  • No

  • Can any 1 tell me whether this phone is capable of upgrade to windows phone 8..pls reply soon.

  • This handset is Amazing,if u r a fan or lover of windows phone than this is truely a fantasti phone ,it is faster thn my previous window handsets(hd7 & Radar)its having a 199 ppi but coz of ips display the colours never get fade, great camera n display.am using this phone since last 3months without any prob after radar titan battery life is superb tht i found in Htc devices.

  • It's a one year old design. You cannot upgrade it to WP8. It's a waste of money. Wait till early september when Nokia is going to release their first WP8 phones.

  • i don't want the phone to ring. i just want it to tell me whos calling.and i want everything to go though my blue tooth. hands free. please happy

  • How I can use GPS with HTC Titan - MS Ohone 7.5 mango?

  • is this phone completely reliable for official work such as-email,push mail, mms, excel and power point....i really need it.if this phone have all the features then i'll buy it..

  • weti concern we with your order passed??

  • ho is the best titan htc or nokia 700?

  • You are a troll :D

  • I had this phone for 6 months. This phone is only let down by it's terrible signal reception. I believe this is because of the battery cover and chassis are made from aluminum, rectified with the Titan II's poly case. Battery life was a little poor too, but everything else was 10/10. After making an official complaint Dialaphone swapped my Titan for a Nokia Lumia 900. HTC didn't want to know, simply replacing the internals each time I sent it back for repair. I would have taken a Titan II but they were not in stock.

  • im lost, all i can say is that when you bought an app its yours forever, when you got a new windows phone unit, all you have to do is you use your live account then download back the apps you bought, the marketplace will check the app if you already bought it.

  • its the best htc... is more better that HTC one X :)

  • no

  • Does this have the same apps as iPhone 3GS

  • Rate for 1-10 how is this phone ? Better than a iPhone 3GS ?

  • But I still have to buy the HTC Titan. Do I still have to reset it then, or not?

  • Does anybody knows if the HTC Titan has got Adobe Flash Player? Because I want to watch southparkepisodes on this phone. And if you don''t know, would you try it for me? Thanks!

  • yes, after you unlock it!

  • Your go reset your phone, sertings>about>reset your phone. Just make sure you back it up. Like your important photos and songs. That's the only way to get your default program back.

  • no

  • does anyone know if this phone will work on t mobiles network

  • Can I ask how did you upgraded your 7.5 to windows 8? curious, I wanna try it out.

  • yes it CAN

  • WOW, i've got an adreno 205 in my old htc desire z. Good to see it's still alive after over a year of being in circulation.

  • I reside in niger state Nigeria, I ordered this phone online but am expecting the phone in three weeks time.

  • Does Bing Maps work well in China? I am currently staying in China and am torn between this phone which has bing maps and the Amaze 4G which is on Gmaps but specs are quite similar.. Help

  • hello does anyone know can u get this for any network like o2 and wats the price for pay as you go :)

  • nice!!!i have an trophy and i cant wait!!!

  • I upgraded to the Titan from an iPhone 4 and I absolutely love it. Windows phone 7.5 is awesome! I think the interface is really easy to navigate. I really like how it comes preinstalled with office which is something you would have to buy from the Apple app store. I also love the larger screen. I also love how I can check everything on my Xbox from my phone (that's awesome!). I'm completely wrapped around Windows phone 7.5

  • I bought this in December 2011 and been using it since, over 6 onths for now. I think this phone is really good, I think that WP7 is the best OS, no matter on which platform. One question is how much this phone has RAM? Is it 512 MB, like writes GSMarena or is it 349 MB as shows WP7 system view app? If soebody knows the answer, please share this inforation with me ! And on other question is, how can I get back a default program, which I problably acccidently deleted and is not available for download at the Marketplace or anywhere else in the internet (as far as I know) ? My search button in the right lower corner opens only internet and bing searc engine. IT was a lot different before, when it opened also the text recognition and translating by camera and also song recognition option and did not open the internet, before I wanted to search soething, so it opened a lot quicker too. Could anyone help me with some advice ?

  • Hi.. how is WP 8 ?

  • I participate in Microsoft research. I am currently testing this very phone on Windows 8 for Mobile. All currently available Windows Phones are upgradable to Windows 8.

  • is it true that non of the current WP phone will be upgradable to WP8?

  • Can one control the blink patterns or events it blinks for? Thanks

  • Go to marketplace, download PC file download. On your of side, download hfs.exe (it is free). Then, read the instructions on how to transfer files to your phone via your PC. Enjoy!!!

  • Does it support TMC function?

  • "OS second to none" What that means?

  • Pretty good battery life, about 7 - 9 hours usage, but with medium use I get through the day with 30% to 50% free. Screen is amazing, really sharp and bright and the OS is second to none.

  • how is the battery on Titan?

  • Is this how text input from a Windows Phone really looks? Or, is this indicative of the typical Windows Phone user? Regardless, this person seems to want the Opera mini-browser on his phone. Go to m.opera.com and follow the instructions.

  • where can i get one of this product to buy within ikeja

  • Hi there, can ny1 tell me hw to instal opera in this device....i wana c ma language font in fb bt without opera i cant get it n 1 more thing wat is d perfect IM softwer 4windows phone? thnx

  • Two things I don't like: 1. Problems with connection. I see that marketplace has app updates. When I trying to update them, I get "Service is not available at this moment" (or something). Trying second time - the same. I restart phone and it get all updates without problems. I suggest it can be related to Edge/3G and Wi-Fi mode switching. 2. Automatic brightness setting ON. It's never get low brightness even if I use it in the dark without light. Sometimes (after sleep) when it's still dark, I have dificulties to watch on Titan's screen.

  • Oh seriously, come on ppl who just determine phones about numbers by "oh its just 199 ppi WVGA screen on 4.7 inch its low" Think about this way: a 23 inch FullHD Monitor (1920*1080) has about 96 ppi pixel density, and i already sh!t my pants watching it because it has so many details. If I cut out a 4.7 inch part and keeps the pixel density (which is already cool) it will have about 392*220 resolution. So if you make this resolution go up to 800*480 that is unbelievably detailed, that means this pixel density(199ppi) should make a 23 inch monitor to be 3915*2345 and this number (a little more but not too much)rumored to be UltraHD in some articles i read in the past few months. So here are your big numbers.

  • but did u experience that it adds all demo content and when charging it shows an animation which i was not able to stop. Please help

  • Can you connect to external display (eg projector)?

  • You can use the synchronisation ability from the zune software when you connect the Mobile to the PC.

  • Yes it has LED notification light.

  • does this phone have LED notification light like other htc android device?

  • mind your words...before speaking about any country..

  • Hi there, m a new user of this phone, can any1 pls tel is there any easy way to take my documents from my computer to phone?

  • i think this phone will NEVER be launched in India. i am starting to hate you HTC

  • Its a Titan

  • Its and htc titan. u can see the name.

  • Based on spec, I would go with Sony Xperia ION. Screen: 4.55 (not a great lost) Hi Res: 720 X 1280 (300ppi) Dual core processor vs Single core 1mb of RAM 12 MP camera (do you really need 16mp on a phone?) Rabbit51

  • Anyone know if this the Windows Phone that appears on the videoclip of "We Are Young" by 'FUN.'? It looks like the Nokia Lumia 900 too, but I'm not sure. Please somebody check out the video and answer me, thank you.

  • I found out it does not have gorilla glass but what coating does it have and does it scratch easily.

  • I was wondering whether I should buy htc titan or xperia ion or lumia 900

  • it is 4G but not LTE

  • My Titan shows that I have 4g network even though on the specifications it shows it only has 2g and 3G. Does that mean it has LTE were I can upgrade to the 100 mg data package which is supposed to be super fast.

  • Windows Phone gives you simplicity and smoothness. Android gives you greater customizability and has more apps. Pick your choice =)

  • I have to say as a phone addict you have had all the top HTC and Samsung models.iphones and have been anti Nokia and windows phones. Just bought the HTC titan and I have to say I love it. Software is not only amazing but it seems and feels generations better than the android and IOS software. For all of you who have given up on the windows software like me just try it and compare. It will speak for itself. An absolute joy to use.

  • I am planning to buy a smartphone and I am very much confused, should I go for HTC Titan that is a windows based phone or should I go for Android os based smartphones, such as Samsung Galaxy R or Samsung Galaxy S2,can someone please help me.

  • It's not like that makes your images bad. Have you even tried this phone? Its screen is as good/clear/nice as a Galaxy S2, only awesome SLCD instead of a bit oversaturated AMOLED

  • Ouch... Only 199 ppi? :S

  • i do not know for sure, but a software upgrade might help. always better to send it back to the manufacturer directly or via dealer, if you are in warranty they wont charge you. otherwise to be done by a professional developer.

  • I am an arabian and I own an HTC TITAN , it doesn't have arabic integraded keyboard but you can download one from the marketplace like the one I use (abjad keyboard) 1- you can receive arabic texts from your friends. 2- if you browse arabic sites the letters are not combined. Hopefuly microsoft will release an update. Good luck.

  • Can Titan Support Arabic Language?

  • when will that mobile arrive in Egypt

  • There is a recent news that skype is going to release a skype application for WP7 mobiles. definitely worth waiting for!! :)

  • No

  • You can video chat, but not with skype or any other app you mentioned, the only app available now is called tango. Propably skype will be available in few months.

  • If i buy this phone from Dubai UAE will it work in Canada Rogers Wireless 3G Data speeds?? thanks lemme know

  • I really wanted to buy this phone but i just want to ask this question: How's the Audio/Video recording of this phone? Im looking for a phone that I can use whenever I want to record, let's say, a band playing. So I need a phone with good noice cancellation so the audio wouldn't be a piece of shit. I know my HTC HD7 has the WORST audio recording qualities i've ever encounter (my cheap Nokia 5250 does ALOT better in this case). So I was just wondering, How's the recording? Or can anyone make a sample video on how loud the the mic can handle? I really LOVE this phone and I want to buy it so I would really appreciate a response. THanks!!

  • Please can anyone update me wheather i can make a video call on htc titan through skyee or gtalk???

  • There is always threaded text messaging, as in the sense of it's conversation base, but you never have ot link it with Facebook or anything. Just normal texts.

  • Sounds like you have a problem with the mother board, if I was you I would return the phone immediatly as the company that supplied you the phone can change it within 28 days. Ater that it will be a warranty issue with HTC and it could take some time to get it back. HTC might also send you a reconditioned one. Phone dealer

  • I am planing to get HTC titan in few weeks and I want to ask few questions: 1. Can you turn off threaded messeging? I just want normal messeging dont want FB and other messages to mess with my text messeging. I remember in windows 6 i had the option to TURN off threaded messeging on my HD2. 2. I heard in win mobile 7 you cant forward messeges? True or anything to do about it? 3. My country (Cyprus) isnt supported in xbox live etc does that mean I cant buy games from the market but only free ones? Any workaround that? Thanks

  • i think windows phone is the next best thing just keep it up and pls dont ever copy other os. just make yours faster and reliable i got my eyes on you!!! from: i phone 4s owner

  • The sound is not that great on the Titan, sounds like you're underwater during conversations. Overall, beautiful phone (has potential) but the mic sucks, pictures are okay.

  • why wm 7.5 cant sms sync with microsoft exchange like wm 6.5; please update me

  • It does run Adobe Reader. There's an app for that.

  • And what happened

  • Windows OS runs Adobe reader (PDF) so why wouldn't Windows Mobile OS

  • If you're on GSM network then *43# and press call/green button.

  • I am using the Titan since a week now.its an amazing phone and mango is an experience.i am experiencing one problem. - when I dial a call ...many times the voice is dead...it's like I don't hear anything from the other side and the cal gets disconnected.and a few times also the software got frozen..so had to again restart the phone......Any Solution?

  • does anyone know how to turn on call waiting? please.

  • HTC manufacturing excellent outfit mobile but not much more specification.HTC Titan is a great cell phone ever as well equip.

  • Are you kidding me? You think html5 is only in those two. Wake up. Bada and Android have flash, java and html5 all at the same time for long time. Ifact every smartphone os has html5 in these days.

  • I have owned the HTC Titan for 2 months now and I love it, really enjoying the phone. Its superb but for me my Titan has 1 major issue, the WIFI connectivity is so poor it is often unusable. It rarely connects when its in range and often drops and dosent reconnect automatically. This is dissapointing as the phone is sooo good but it useless with WIFI. There seem to be a growning number of users complaining of this as I initially thought I just had a defective phone. HTC / Microsoft please bring out an update to fix this soon!

  • Flash is dying out on mobile devices and Adobe already announced that it is discontinuing flash for mobile devices. Experts are now saying Microsoft and Apple are the only smart ones for using HTML 5 instead of Flash and HTML5 is way way way way way faster :P

  • more powerful than iphone 4 through headphones with srs sound. tested in parallel by me

  • can i visit empflix or tnaflix using this phone?

  • Yep no flash support.

  • Mango 7.5. Not windows 7.

  • not for HTC Mozart .

  • No, WP7 doesn't have flash support, stop babbling...

  • Yes, All Windows Phone 7 has flash compatibility

  • Windows phone operating system does not support Flash. You'll need an Android based device if that's what you're into. The other commenter is confusing this plugin with the camera flash.

  • Bag required only if your a girl.

  • sync outlook with wlive

  • Does it have flash player? I want buy this , if it has full flash player,

  • it comes with a dual-LED flash

  • you will need a bag for this monster

  • Great news for everyone - Amazon Discounts the HTC Titan Down to $99 winphone7news.blogspot.com/2011/12/amazon-discounts-htc-titan-down-to-99.html

  • i have this monster for 5 days and belive me it is great! smooth like butter. I recomend this mobile to all who loves diffrent than todays standard cos this is higher! camera - 10 web - 9 ( would be 10 but no flash) display - 9 ( dont bother with PPI, belive me) construction - 10 media and apps - 10 social apps - 10 ( have droid and iOS - this is way ahead than on droid/iOS) speaker - 8 battery - 8 ( 24h for things where S2 give max 16h - browsing, music, youtube etc. ) zune - 7 ( only cos phone is dipendent to it... ) overall: have S2 which is better in therms of flash and skype, but this piece give so much more new out of ordinary things whit great metro ui and smoothness and beautifull apps that can not compare with droid or IOS apss in therms of overall expirience.

  • Yup you can download has Adobe Reader free

  • i am planning to buy this phone i don't know about pdf file system. so does it support .pdf file system.

  • You need to download Zune

  • have you installed zune on your computer?

  • hey I Want to see full battery test for this phone

  • You must install Zune. This way you will have access to everything

  • Good afternoon all. Could anyone who has the HTC Titan please HELP ME? I have my phone connected to my laptop and it charges but doesn't seem to recognise it in any other way.I need to get some proper music on to it!!!! I would be vert grateful for some input in more ways than one! Thanks Pete.

  • The HTC HD2 is still the best smartphone! - I just got the new Titan last week - IT IS SIMPLY A BIG BUNDLE OF RUBBISH!! (Multi-tasking is still non-existent, takes a year to "resume" an application, apps. disconnect once in background, "tethering" disconnects after 5?? minutes, stereotype home with stupid colours, NO theme, etc) Trust me! My MIUI DNT android running HD2 is still the best and only practical smartphone I have.

  • Havern't seen this phone in person yet but the ppi is 199? isn't that too noticable on the screen?

  • I got my Titan(titanic) as one of my friends who saw the fone for the first time called it, is just a beauty to behold. The camera is so powerful is unbelievable. it is a symbol of maculinity. it feels great, especially after using the htc-hd7. the screen size is just great for those of us with weak eye site, u can see all your letters boldly which is what i always wanted.it is slim enough inspite of the screen size, can fit into breast pocket quit easily. This is a must get for the ultimate fone lover. kudos to htc. i love my titanic fone. waow.

  • Nop...U can only install thru marketplace unless you unlock your phone with chevron and this is a legal jailbreak accepted by Microsoft and no problem with it.

  • Having gone through the reviews after a recommendation y my friend Kugbey, I think I will let him pick one from the shelves of Sutton high street for me tomorrow morning

  • How is the back this phone, especially the lens protected from scratches?

  • Plz inform me follwing things Can it install games from pc(without buying but downloaded like in symbian)

  • so I wonder if you can go into the phone and upgrade the memory...of course you will void the warranty but is it possible? I ordered mine on Amazon for .01

  • Fantastic phone - Major disadvantage is the limited capacity of 16GB and no SD card support

  • can you watch movie clips on the titan

  • htc is the way 2 go pple.this 4n is pples 4n.love it..

  • Bluetooh file transfer???

  • I've just purchased this phone and so far OK but does anyone know how to syncronise Outlook contacts and calender from PC to the phone. The manual describes Microsoft Exchange sync but this doesn't apply to me. With no contacts or calender on the phone it isn't much use to me.

  • i have been using htc from past 3 years, the best feature about it in any windows operating system mobile we could run android operating system also, both windows 6.5 version and android 2.3.5 versions will run. plz dont go wid the priceing ,coz they dont compramise wid quality,do u know the screen glass is handmade,it takes 6 hours for each screen glass to be made....

  • It is not Gorilla Glass?

  • does htc titan arrive in EGYPT

  • Fully charged almost 2 days for me :) lovin this phone each day more an more :D

  • yes, using the Tango app.

  • I've in phones big shop play many times with HTC Titan and today first time when saw and play with Nokia Lumia 800. So don't be confused because here clear winner HTC Titan! Also at the moment HTC Titan best Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5 Mango best phone from all WP. Nokia Lumia 800 doesn't impress me and HTC Titan I can say WOW. Unfortunately If I myself then not gonna buy any of these WP 7.5 phones because I am photo lover and deeply upset with installed on both phones crap photo cameras lenses (can't make excellent photos as with Nokia N8). I am always used best Nokia phone and was my last phone Nokia N8. Was with excellent photo camera lens until some gypsy stole my phone from my pocket. Now I waiting to buy again, but waiting any brand phone with excellent camera lens (with Nokia N8 camera sensor or better) phone. Prefer to buy again Nokia, but at the moment no any good choice, all averages by specifications and again - no one had good camera lens :( So again, if you want to buy now WP then clear winner HTC Titan. Believe me I am love Nokia phones used them since 1998 year but Nokia Lumia 800 very boring to compare with HTC Titan and even no any tipe front camera. So I waiting and hope some brand gonna to produce soon another excellent camera phone for photo lovers. Please in all brand you must use Nokia N8 photo camera sensor! We need more excellent camera phones!

  • Would be interested to see how the battery performs?

  • With the way everyone is jumping off the BB bandwagon I'd say WP7. Google just dropped GMail app for BB

  • 4s is not a great leap. I'm just waiting for a few more apps to be available then I'll use WP7 full time instead of part time. Need a good phone to replace my Mozart. Titan seems ok but hate how HTC put speakers on the back of phones. Waiting for Nokia Ace but prerelease pics are boring. Love the look of the Lumia 800 but specs are not up to scratch. Also confused which phone to buy

  • Would be interested to see how the battery performs?

  • How much OS - windows is as good as Android. Will it make any disadvantage to purchase windows phone insteadd of android.

  • I'm not sure if there is or will be an official video conferencing application for this phone but it's logical to assume if there isn't one, there will be in the future as the HTC Titan has a 1.3 MP front facing camera and the Mango API already has the ability to incorporate a front facing camera.

  • can we use videocall this phoen?...

  • can we use videocall this phoen?...

  • anyone knows where can i get this phone in singapore?

  • yes the Ultimate is the Titan :)

  • Looks like the HTC Ultimate, which was released here in Brazil to a few weeks ago

  • I have played with and ordered the device and the screen quality is fantastic, the density of the pixels is irrelevant... Also for those saying not as good as a dual core, why sacrifice a crap load of battery life for the sake of a millisecond load time, this has a single core but its a nice powerful one and WP7 is built not to need ridiculous processors or RAM

  • The only thing I wish Microsoft would allow is for higher screen resolutions. I absolutely love this thing and the it's only real downside from what I can see if the resolution. It's got a massive screen however I just feel like it should be a higher resolution with a bit better pixel density. This device got great feedback from Engadget a week or two ago and I really like this thing. I can't wait to find one in person so I can really play with it. I love my android phone, but the WP OS caught my eye from day one, and this device is a pretty good example of what it's meant to be.

  • is there any chance that this phone with Mango version support Arabic language

  • Its right now available in UK. You can check from the below link... November II week probably release in Europe [if not yet released] and asia. Thx

  • It certainly's massive... Titan (hmmm!) indeed. Love the size. Pixel density is a lil irritating but imho, its just spec...in reality, it may hardly be noticeable. Wp7:5 keep on rocking *chews apple*

  • at present were is it available ( name of countries)

  • As a Wp7 fanboy i have to say you can consider this mine. Love the size but alittle disapointed by the pixel density that wp7 requires. maybe the tango phones with have a little better picture but this one is practically in my pocket already.

  • just got my Titan and it simply blow me away its simply gorgeous and fast :) its a must have

  • It's already available in Brazil! \o/

  • hello GSMarena, I m waiting for the HTC Titan review from your side

  • Nice specs, certainly a improvement on WP7 but not enough to encourage me to come back to Microsoft perhaps WP8 will tick all the boxes. In the meantime I stay with Android and will upgrade to a dual core device running Ice Cream Sandwich when available. Mind you without going into reasons why, if the WP7.5 device had a card slot I may reconsider my options.

  • best windows phone till now!!!

  • titan

  • THIS!!!

  • this or iphone 4s

  • Thanks for your info antony, I can't wait till that long, may be gp gpr sensation xe or xl. which is said to be available in nov.

  • its a great windows:D i love it

  • its a great windows phone:D i love it

  • I heard on Cnet that it is coming to India in the first quart of 2012

  • Can someone tell me, when this is releasing in India? I enquired with many mobile phone shops, ridiculously most of them are not aware ot this model.

  • Thank you Anthony, great phone, would love a review :-)

  • Ios and Andro LOL

  • BB7 is dead by the end of this year. QNX era coming.

  • So i actually opened it up//disassembled the phone hoping to find a micro sdhc slot internally - like they previously did in the mozart and hd7 .. no luck. looks like theyre using solid memory integration this time so were stuck with 16gb (12gb free storage)

  • what platform is more futureproof for next 2yrs? WM7 or BB7??

  • Yes it is

  • Yes it is

  • Yes, it is a GSM and is pretty cool. Video call supported with 3rd app TANGO, compatible for WP7, Android, IOS and Windows.

  • is this a GSM phone?

  • Pls do make a review on the HTC titan pls pls pls

  • Lifzgud, Where did you see Bluestacks for Windows Phone 7 OS ? I am only seeing it for windows PC OS. Is it that you are getting OS names confused?

  • Ok as far is I know Bluestacks is a program for your PC to run Android apps Windows Phone 7 and Windows 7 is not the same OS. Have you seen a bluestacks for the Windows Phone 7 OS? Because I have not.

  • BlueStacks App Player allows you to run andriod apps on Windows

  • This phone is gonna be amazing for watching movies!!

  • "Mango" is the code name for the revision ".5" in window phone 7 so "yes" its the same thing.

  • It is a GSM phone so it needs a SIM Only CDMA phones have no SIM Its running Windows phone OS how do you expect to use Android apps on it? You can get windows phone OS versions of the app you want.

  • wouldn't it be safer for you to buy a Sonim device?

  • Hi Guys Is it possible to install Android Applications to htc Titan. and also i would like to know if this phone is a sim free or sim insert-able type.

  • Does it have a Gorilla Glass? I drop my phones all the time and it sure does not look anything close to pretty if u crack the screen.....

  • any idea if it has an internal micro sd card? if so, any chance of disassembling it to upgrade the memory to 32gb like i did with my mozart?

  • Htc makes product which is value 4 money, Iphone only have not much huge but a little display 3d type quality but comparing this to htc is superb u can experience this

  • The system "7 Mango" is 7.5? if it's not, is it upgradable to windows 7.5?

  • where SD slot ? Why no sd slot ?

  • If you didnt know, you can download free songs from wherever you want and import them to itunes. Quit being ignorant and use an iphone before bashing it.

  • why pay more to get less ive been talking people out of iphones since they came out. Android phones stay with the technology curve and cost less money, for instance ive downloaded about 3,000 songs for free how much would that be on itunes you do the math android all the way baby

  • Thats due to a requirement by MS rather than the manufacturer.

  • No card slot?!?!?!?!?!?!?

  • You do understand that apple own both there hardware and OS software????? They have full control over what goes into the OS and the device. HTC on the other hand only make the Hardware. The OS is from Google & Microsoft. And if Microsoft made there OS to work only with 480x800 pixels screens (no more or no less) what would you like HTC or any other manufacture of WP7 phones to do about it????

  • Firstly WP7 itself doesn't support higher resolution than one on the Titan, so it's not HTC's fault. Secondly as I've seen from all the videos and photos of the devices I never once noticed that the picture on the screen looked bad and it actually looks very nice. And thirdly games wise, the games will still look good and have much higher fps than current wp7 devices since there is no more restrain on the hardware like it would be if it had better res. So in my books, all is good.

  • I wonder why a smartohone player like HTC can't go beyond 300ppi pixels for a 4.7'' titan today when iphone4 could deliver that way back. This screen-resolution factor really takes a step back always. Come on HTC you can beat even iphone5 specs if u realise your power. Anyway good resolutin on evo models and sensations.

  • can you get me a iPhone 5? they aren't even out yet but somehow you know they are already buggy? wow magical. the iOS5 beta maybe buggy but thats why its beta...when its fully released it will be great.

  • 510 euros? Here in Belgium it's 569 euros...

  • It's THE phone that I was waiting for. Better than an iPhone and with Microsoft Windows Phone !! All that I wanted. It will be much more better than the future iPhone 5 (actually, it's verry buggy, I've read and saw that).

  • If you ask me, it's a good thing there is little or no variation in hardware since there is no risk of fragmentation like on Android. And since WP7 runs just fine with the current hardware I see no reason in changing it.

  • To the people that were saying the HTC is playing games by limiting there WP7 phone spec. You would remember I was saying the problem is the OS and not HTC. Well now you can take a look and Samsung (creators of the high spec Note) new WP7 phone, the OMNIA W18350. You will notice it has the Same 480x800 pixels limitation. Same 512RAM limitation. Same 720P video limitation. Same single core CPU limitation. Same no card slot limitation. So dont expect any major hardware improvements in a WP7 phone, no matter who the manufacture is. WP7 has gone the way of the iOS. There may be many different phones out there with the WP7 OS but technically it like there is only one phone, from a spec point of view.

  • In your PC may be? Phones, even with 4.7' screens are not made for watching HD movies... Do you know what "cloud service" means?

  • Ok ppl, I have a big dilemma in picking one of these phones for my new phone. HTC Titan or Nokia N9? I know the pros and cons of both of them but I still can't make up my mind and pick one over another. So speak your mind, what do you think?

  • htc titan is what i want..

  • 510 euros???? watdahel, is there any possibility that the price will drop upon release?

  • HTC is awesome, I really, really, really love this phone already. I think I'LL even prefer it to my current hd7, only flaw, it does not have a kick back stand. If its an upgrade from Hd7, then they've left the most important thing out... I stand to be corrected...

  • whatsapp is i think will be launing in a month or so

  • Its WP7 not Android therefore 1600mah should be fine.

  • Nice phone. nice big screen. Nice SMALL battery. Good luck! Ya gunna have power problems. This seems to be the HTC way of putting together mobile phones, Perhaps, this phone, also should come packaged with a couple of spare batteries.

  • Two major flaws: Internal capacity 16GB with no SD card. Where do we keep videos, pictures and files? At least 64GB capacity required and then I go for this...\ Video full HD lacking...

  • To answer the question of why Im not ready to jump to WP its simple... I favour MS OS over any other right now mainly because of its compatibility with MS Outlook & MS office & Garmin. Most (not all) of the rest of things I like about the OS I could get from Android or blackberry. I too have played with WP7 (on my HD2 and it is interesting but in the end I returned to WM6.5 because WP7 is still lacking too much to give up WM just yet. In terms of functionally, not in terms of visuals, simplicity and speed. When I switch phones it will be for 1 of 2 reasons. I destroyed the phone I have. Or a phone comes out that add more functions that I want. As I see it WP7 has taken away things that I use. So thats not an update for me.

  • The restrictions are not just for minimum specs. It is also for hardware type/brand and because of that it will atomically also limit what a device spec can have. Do you know the HD2 meets all the specks but 1. It has 5 hardware keys at the base instead of 3 and because of this it did not qualify for a WP7 upgrade that HTC first advertised it could get. Even thou the total number of hardware keys is the same, just in different locations. That was enough for it to be blanked for an upgrade. And as you mentioned CPU I also know WP7 only supports one brand and type of CPU so the CPU speed may be faster but they are all the same brand and none will ever be Dual core. WP OS will not allow it no matter how the manufactures are. By the way copy and paste has been added but it is still limited to some apps not fully fictional like in WM and that is 500 new fixes + features not all 500 are features, so not all 500 are totally new to WP. Some are modifications to the software on the OS in terms of what it looks like how you interact with it and what info it shows you.

  • I know that MS is pretty damn serious this time about Windows phone. They've set some sort of "Minimum Hardware Requirement" for all mfgers who want to make WP7 phones. For eg, processor should be minimum 1ghz, ram 512 mb, camera 5 mp etc. But once again I do not agree with you on display resolution restriction. May be the minimum resolution should be 480X800, but anything higher than that is welcome. Same thing applies to cpu, ram etc. Everything is ok as long as it is higher than MS's requirement. On personal note, Most of short comings like copy/paste etc have been taken care by WP7.5 mango update. It got added 500 features. Just wondering what is holding you back to embrace WP7.5 since you are such a big fan of MS? I got a chance to play wp7I must sayexperience was like iphone.very smooth & flawless. 7.5 should be much better. For me, I am not fanboy of anything. I change my phone once a yr ..sometimes platform too. I'm kinda addicted to BB blinking light. I heard rumour that iphone5 will have this light. If thats the case, I'm surely get iphone. I've been iphone 3gs, hd2 and now BB user in a span of 3 yrs.

  • O You have to thank Microsoft and there strict hardware requirements to get the WP7 license for limiting hardware manufacturers, not the manufactures them self. HTC has a deal with beats audio and now that I think about it, because of MS rules we may not get a WP7 phone with beats audio, only android phones might get it. All WP7 phones have to be 480x800, no more or no less, does not matter what brand it is. Its part of what MS said they were doing when they came out with the new OS. They are standardising the internal hardware so no matter what phone you buy the performance should be the same. (Good for having a stable OS, and less crashing which was a problem with the WM OS because of hardware 3rd party software issues. but bad for pushing the hardware to the next level.) Sadly internal hardware changes will only happen when MS give there ok. Its so strict now that service providers cant even put there branding on OS or strip features out as there could in the WM OS because they will not get the WP7 license. Conspiracy theory..... many features that was in the WM OS that are not in the WP7 OS maybe missing not because it could not be done in time, but because the service providers requested from MS that it not to be Putin so they can make more money by offing paid alternatives to accomplish the same task. LOL no facts on that one, just saying, hummmmm? I tell you, they are really going down the same road of the iOS the only difference is they not making their own phone. :( The more I talk about this the more I see Im going to be holding on to my HD2 for quite some time again. Till i see some more changes from WP or Android.

  • I agree with your point and thats wat I was trying to say:). Pixel density largely depends on the size of device. Just do not like the fact that HTC has come up with such a low pixel density with Titan ......I mean its not bad but does not meet today's standard.

  • Im not disagreeing with you that the iP4 will look better. Basically what Im saying is... this phone screen res technically will look better then a 1080P 46 TV and people dont complain that 1080P is too low for their 46 Tv. & if you find a HD2 with 800x460 is ok for a 4.3 screen then 800x460 is also ok for a 4.7 screen, Because the difference in pixel density per inch between the 2 is only 18 pixels less per inch. Which you would not be able to tell just by looking at it. The pixel density on an iP4 is 330 per inch. The Titan is 199 per inch. Thats a difference of 131 pixels less in every inch of screen. Of cause you are going to notice the difference between the 2. To make my point I was trying to make with the TV comparison a next way, think about this..... The Samsung note has an 800x1280pixels res screen and the iP4 has a 640x960 res screen. There are many people that think the Samsung note will look better between the 2, when infract it will not. Reason being that the pixel density per inch of the SGN is 285 because of its screen size Where the iPhone4 pixel density per inch 330 because of its screen size The difference of 45 pixels less, in every inch or screen. Hope you understand what I am trying to say.

  • what Phone do you use now??

  • I do not agree with your pixel things. I don't wanna go technical here. Just put your htc hd2 & iphone4 on the table. You will see very clearly ..which got better screen. Of course denser pixel on screen is better and also visible to eyes.at least for my eyes lol. Same thing with BB phonesthey got small screen but high resolutions.so they are far better & eye pleasing than those of nokia E70's models. For you info, I like HTC but when comes to camera & display quality, they are way behind Samsung. Super Amoled Plus is one hel of display technology which Samsung has monopoly at this moment. They are better in Camera & CPU department as well. Samsung is huge co which makes almost everything in electronic world. So they've edge over other cosBut in software & quality-hardware(minus display) Htc shines.

  • Looks a cool phone. Ideally though I'd like to see 32Gb storage, and a 2000Mah battery, a higher res screen would be ideal, but since it has a way higher resolution for its size then a desktop display already I guess it will do fine. The storage at least should be trivial to fix since I expect it has a SD card inside only alterable by the manufacturer. But since I'm in the market for a new phone this looks to me to be the winner since I want a big screen and fancy trying windows 7, unless something better comes out between now and Oct/Nov ish.

  • To people that think this phone is to big to hold. I have compared it to the HTC HD2 which I have. The Titan is only 3.7mm wider than the HD2 And is 1.1mm thinner than the HD2 I can slip the HD2 in and out of my jeans front pocket wile I am sitting. And because it is so thin you dont even feel it when it is there. Making it 3.7mm wider and 1.1mm thinner will not make the titan unmanageable. As for screen pixel count they are both 480x800 making the difference in pixel density per inch of screen only 18pixels less in every inch. Is there anyone out there that could look with the naked eye and say yes I can see that this inch of screen has 18 pixels less than that screen Common guys and gals stop nit picking at the trivial things. What Im concerned about is how long it is going to take the WP OS to be a jack of all trades like the WM OS was. Eye candy and easy of use is a good thing, but I should not have to sacrifice features and functionality to get it. And at the rate the iOS and Android OS are improving the WP OS should not be taking there cool time to bring out notable improvements. Smart phones arent about just phone call. they are about not having to walk with a Net-book, radio, digital camera, Nav unit, Mp3 player, appointment book, PDA, portable DVD player, PSP, external hard drive and. And cell phone too. (ONE DEVICE TO DO IT ALL) So when you restrict functionality that I can get in any of those other devices which will force me to carry a next device as well, then I say the OS or the hardware is not very smart (depending on how much is missing). And in this case I have to blame the OS, not the Hardware.

  • It's a good thing smartphones aren't just about being a phone that is portable. so the bigger screen dose have value. :)

  • maximun 4.5 screen size can be consider for mobile phone, 4.7 is too big.

  • WP7 in my opinion is still Microsoft version of the iOS in its early days. So forget about getting files on your phone that do not pass through the Zune software or email. (mango) didn't fix that deep in the OS. And if they plan on following iOS in every way, the WP OS may not see its true potential for many people till about WP10

  • Nope.

  • Pls more about Mango. Does it accept bluetooth file transper?

  • Cool Phone

  • No, it has nothing to do with Android.

  • No, this phone has nothing to do with Android.

  • Can htc titn worck with android?

  • True and who cares if itn't not amoled, dual core, 1 gig of ram, bla bla. It's still an awesome phone with cool OS that work perfectly smooth and responsive on it. I don't care about it's hardware, if it runs great on Titan, that's all I care about.

  • yeah, his right, lets post something informative and productive here, we are not here because we're lost and thought of htc titan as samsung note or something2x, we are here due to the fact that we are interested to know more about this device and nothing else, we can read its specification, pro and cons by ourselves and i dont noone to point me the obvious that this a single core, nonamoled yada yada...

  • Found it, look from 1.17

  • I like this phone more and more with each day. Btw I noticed something interesting about the camera when watching one of the videos about the Titan. First it has that great option when you can acess the camera even if phone is locked just by pressing the shutter key. But the most "juicy" thing is how fast the camera is. Entering the app was instant just like scrolling from one homescreen to another and it was the same when taking a photo. I will find the exact video showing it, but it will take me some time since there are a lot of them on YT. I hope you will all follow Anthony and post more info on this gorgeus phone. Thx

  • Be as angry as you want but he is right. All you are doing is going on and on about an Android Phone in a Windows Phone forum. You think when people clicked this like it was because they wanted info and opinions about Samsung and Android? Or was it for opinions of the Titan and by extension the WP7 OS? The people that want to read and post opinions about the Samsung Galaxy Note normally go to. They are not coming in the HTC Titan forum because of how great the Samsung Galaxy Note is, so just give it up already. Post something NEW with a bit of facts, may it be for or against the TITAN and stop being a broken record about SGN and HTC BS If you must criticize, do some research and come with some details. Not just say BS over and over again. and don't hide behind "Anonymous" when everyone can still see your I.D. "stSP"

  • Its "Windows Phone" OS the version code name is "Mango". Dont let the numbers confuse you. The OS is made by Microsoft; of course it can edit Microsoft office files. Its the main selling points of the OS. Its compatibly with MS Office, Xbox live, Outlook & MS Zune. If you dont use any of those things you would really have a reason to get a Windows Phone

  • the os is windows phone 7 mango is it different than the windows phone 7.5 mango or the same and another thing does it have office doc editing and reading or not

  • Try to read other post before you make a comment. Many people have complained about the No card slot before you And the reason for no card slot in a WP7 OS phone has also been given before as well. No card slot does not mean it does not have a SD card internally. So why are you just repeating without adding anything new, are you and echo?

  • 16gb without memorycard slot? C'mon HTC. U people know a lot of people are weary of this platform, why limit it further. The phone looks great otherwise

  • HTC produces the best looking and most performant mobile phones. I have the HD2 and it's still better than most new ones.

  • I think you are posting under the wrong phone page here. If you have any comments about HTC Titan you are welcome to make them but if you have something to say about Sumsung's elephant of a phone then probably a different page would be better.

  • Well time will tell which phone is the better one but based on data that we have now shows that titan is a phone that is easy to hold and carry but samsung note is quite larger than titan and using it would be so difficult use due to which it would be of no use.

  • Give me Whatsapp on W7 and I will jump on bandwagon.

  • really? What is the name of the software? because i have Android dual boot on my HD2 and i cant edit a single .docx file on it.

  • You keep talking about HTC BS But for get to mention that the price of the SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE over $1000.00 now that is BS. Is there an app you can use on it, that you cant use on a $400-500 Android phone? Will its top end spec make it run MS office, Xbox live or give you skydrive access. Which are the things that makes some one want a WP7 phone in the first place?

  • .yup. android has office software

  • waiting to see if any better wp7 phone come out

  • I know exactly what I was saying when I was compeering a 46inch TV to the 4.7inch screen on the Titan. I did take viewing distance into consideration. Below is the calculation for that. Size of screen in Inches divided by 4 = the viewing distance in feet. Optimum viewing distance of 46 inche TV is 46 divided by 4 = 11.5 Viewing distance is 11.5 feet or for you 350.52cm Optimum viewing distance of 4.7inch titan screen is 4.7 divided by 4 = 1.175 Viewing distance is 1.175 ft or for you 35.82cm Which is not too far from what you said. So back to what I was saying about lines of rez per diagonal inch. If you think 23.47 line per diagonal inch looks good on a 1080P HD TV at its optimum viewing distance There is no reason why 102.13 lines per diagonal inch will not look better on the phone at its optimum viewing distance. By the way I have watched movies that were ripped from DVD and converted for the HD2 which has only 56K colours and it was good. This has 16M color support. Along with the 102.13 lines per diagonal inch. so let me ask you.... have to ever watch a hi res movie on a screen this size with 16m color and 480P to know it will not show good?

  • Sorry, dude. Have you taken the distance at which your eyes are from the screen between your 46" TV and your Titan? Cause, you don't sit at elbow distance to your TV, but you do with your Phone. So the farther away you are from your TV, the smaller the pixels are, and that's why, 480X800 could not be as crisp. But I would love to see the screen on Titan, and if it's not that of a big deal, I would go for it.

  • dose any ANDROID phone have xbox live or MS word or ms Excel or power point or skydrive these are the things a person buys a WINDOWS OS phone for. so stop doing like Android has everything.

  • I know exactly what I was saying when I was compeering a 46” TV to the 4.7” screen on the Titan. I did take viewing distance into consideration. Blow is the calculation for that. Along with the 102.13 lines so let me ask you.... have to ever watch a hi res movie on a screen this size with 16m color and 480P to know it will not show good?

  • except for samsung note is approx $1,066.and just personally i find samsung mobile looks quite cheap.

  • Seems like nice phone, but a 430-450/550-600usd one.Anything more for that would be ridiculous.

  • I was just waiting when Samsung fanboys will show up here with Galaxy Note written in capital letters XD. I really don't understand all the buzz about the Note and in my opinion they exaggerated with the screen size since it crossed the boundary of a compact phone. I would choose S2 over it anytime, at least it can fit my pocket and I wouldn't feel ridiculous while talking on it cuz underneath all that hardware it's still a PHONE.

  • this is the phone i want , i think this going to be a best business phone

  • this is useless mobile phone... GALAXY NOTE is the king of the mobile phone! it has killed the apple company and EVERY OTHER companies too! samsung is truely the winner in 2011

  • many android phones (HTC DHD, Galaxy S II etc.) support adobe flash for watching video on internet like PC . does windows mobile support web flash on built in interner browser?

  • OK folks, Seems as if someone hacked me - edited and reposted a comment I made. Thats really low and f@#ked-up. ANYWAY, check-out the all new SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE. It's TRULY LEADING in this category phone. I has everything the customer has been asking for the past few years. Simply use the compare option on this site. SAMSUNG is really NOT BS-ing and SHORT-CHANGING on its new GALAXY NOTE. UNLIKE HTC with the "TITAN" Always on the look-out.... VIP

  • any sign of wifi hotspot?

  • i like HTC phone

  • I really appreciate your calculation....but I think you never tried to watch hd tv from 20-30cm which u gonna do with the phone(If u have really not seen just try once)....difference is exactly here ma dear....

  • man explained

  • Great answer m8, I couldn't say it better myself, but I feel the urge to say something too :). I really don't understand what's wrong with people bitching about this phone. About the screen resoultion: Just look at the hands on wideo fron Engadget and you will not see them complaining about it since everything looks great on it, so why the higher res, it's bs. About the RAM: Just because Android eats away all the RAM like i's breakfast it doesn't mean WP7 does. I mean just look at Iphone 4, it has the same amount of it and does everything work and run smooth on it? Yes ofc it does. Things are no different with WP7 since it's optimized to work great with 512MB. About the CPU: I will say the same as for the RAM, it runs smooth, it's enough. About the screen size: I think it's great since it gives you a lot more space to work with and it has to be awesome to play a game or a movie or browsing the web. And the best thing about it is that it's still a phone and still not to big to have in your pocket or attracting attention when having it on the table in the bar. I can't imagine carrying Galaxy Note out or making a call with it in public. Not that I'm saying it's a bad phone, but 5.3, now that's too much. About the intenal memory: I have a 16GB card in my phone and I have a ton of stuff on it and never felt like I need more. The same was when using a 16GB Iphone. I think Android phones are spoiling people with it's 1GB RAM and Dual core CPU-s. It's simple; Android needs it because it's just more hungry OS and WP7, iOS and Symbian aren't. If a phone works great with 1.5 GHz single core than why the hell does it need a dual core? Just because Galaxy S2 has it? Is that what makes a phone better, because it needs something more powerful to run as smooth? It's like putting a dozen of pairs of legs on a man, it doesn't matter that we have two and it's enough, the spider has a lot more so we need them too. I know it's a silly example, but I'm just trying to point out that you are looking at things in a wrong way.

  • dude, you can't be that dumb. galaxy is Android, you think HTC don't have Android phones with better specs... this phone is going after the microsoft market. lovers of the MSoffice, xbox Live & Zune software. non of which you can get on a Android phone. wake up man HTC makes both Android & Windows phones that to sets of clientele they have... not just 1.

  • I like this handset

  • all new phone which are 3g and 4g must have download speed up to 21.1 mbps other it's not like that.

  • wow....

  • WP7 formats its storage drives in a RAID 0 format. Go read up how RAID 0 works, then you will know why there is no card slot. Read how RAID 0 works, then you will know why there is only mention of internal storage even if the phone may have a SD card on its internals like the HTC HD7.

  • No slot for memory? Only 16 internal?

  • you answer is up to the point... right say man! This should open others eyes.

  • Great!one of the best Windows phone as of now...Will wait to see what does nokia do with its WP7.

  • htc titan or just iphone 5 ???

  • O.M.G.... 4,7 inches screen... it's almost 1 inch bigger then mine.. and i still think my is to big(htc desire) but yeah.. thinking about to get sony ericsson Xperia mini pro..:D

  • the display is too big for that resolution. the ppi starts to be closer to midrange. seriously same res. in over 1 inch smaller display. even the sensation has much higher res. with half an inch smaller display.

  • Just why in the world did the HTC Company made the Titan LACKS these most important specifications on the so-called smartphone: 1) THE POWER OF THE RAM 2) A LARGER SPACE OF INTERNAL MEMORY AND A CARD SLOT 3) A 4G INTERNET SYSTEM 4) A HIGHER (+12 MEGA) CAMERA AND VIDEO (+1040) PIXELS ON BOTH FRONT AND BACK SIDE 5) Something else that I lacked If the reason for all of that was because of the money then just forget about it.. Even if that would make the phone worth more than RM4000, it wont give a single damn problem at all dammit..!!!

  • it doesnt have dual-core processor.

  • Good Looks. But, HTC should be more languages support like Apple ........... Because more than more web pages we can't read at HTC device... Come on HTC...... keep it up......

  • well said

  • ram ram

  • Haha..not a stripe..Thats the GUI of wp7. Its pretty cool anyway

  • This goes out to all the complaners that a fussing about the HTC hardware without thinking about how the OS works 1. the phone dose have a memory card, it just not user changable just like the HD7, but you can change it your self if you dont mind voiding your warranty. 2. The Windows Phone OS dose not use a SD cand as exturnal storage as a Andorid or Windows Mobile phone dose. Any SD card but into the phone has to be formated in a RAID 0 format with the internal memery wich dose 2 things. It inproves read/write speend of data & it increases the size of the internal memory that the OS sees. Go read up about what a RAID 0 is before you say stupid things like why there is no SD card slot or i want to be able to swap cards out. 3. 4.7 is not too big. Every time i new size comes out there are those that jump to cry and say its to big. If all you wanted to do is make calls you would not need a smartphone. a basic cell phone cold make call. You buy a smart phone because you want to do more than just call people. And having a bigger screen will make things easy on your eyes to see. after all it dose have office, twitter, Zune, Xbox live and facebook intergration. All of which require the use of your eyes not just your hands. How many of you complainers think you TV is to big to look at? How many of your will or want to go and buy a 10 tablet to carry arould but complainging about the size of the titen. And if you think its going to look bigger than your small head. Use a ear bud or bluetooth. the phone is capable of connecting to those things once you are capable of useing them. 4. A good HD TV is 1080P = 1080 vetical lines of video To make my point i will use a 46 as my example 1080 divided by 46 = 23.47 vertical lines of video per every 1 diagonal inch of screen. The screen on the Titan is 4.7 with a res of 480p 480 divided by 4.7 = 102.13 vertical lines of video per every 1 diagonal inch of screen on the phone. Now do that math.... you complainers think 102.13 of video will look bad in 1 then you must think 23.47 lines per inch look like crap on a 46 HD TV. 5 . 512mb of memory is not too small... the memory is not bing used as storage, its being used in calculations. Let me put things into perspective.... A PS3 has 256mb of system memory and 256mb of video memory A Xbox 360 has 512mb of system/video memory. Do you think your phone is going to do more calculationgs per second than any of those 2? 6. to the complainers that say 16gb of storage is not enuff for there videos and music. I say........ Why are you buying a phone with the skydrive & Zune service if you dont plan to use it. 7. to the persion that said the HD7 is better than the Titan i have to ask you Dose the HD7 have a have a 8mp camera? Dose the HD7 have a front faceing camera for skype? Dose the HD7 have a 1.5GHz CPU Dose the HD7 come with a 1600mAh battery and 11hours talk time?

  • Wow 4.7inch that mean u can watch POp coRN movie on this phone.cool :-)

  • It's actually Windows Mobile 7.5 to my knowledge.

  • Specs r cool,1.5GHz Processor wil do more n makes it speedy. but whats dat black strip at the right side on every WP7 phone?

  • Absolutely spot on, having used/tried several droids in last 8-10 months (also I still have my dreaded SGS, as its a total loss so rather then throwing it away I have been tweaking it to at least keep it useable) almost every one of them lags at one point in time, for no apparent reason or no significant work load. I believe that android is popular simply because a) OEMs get it for free (but I am sure once Big G start favoring its favorite pet i.e. Motorola things will start to change) b) its interface is a pretty close copy of iOS.

  • display resolution should be more, ram should be 1gb, strange no sd card slot...

  • What's the bet you've never used a Windows Phone before... Or that you haven't used Mango. You obviously don't know what you're talking about referring to the OS as a 'virus'. Go back to your laggy Android or outdated iOS.

  • I hate the RAM size. It should be 1 GB

  • Seem to be a great phone, the only think I do not like to me is the OS, having Windows is like a have a pocket with Virus..

  • Windows phone 7 is back in business. With HTC this is the best phone on the market when it comes out.

  • I see this phone does not have Java. Is it lack of any functions so far?

  • Very predictable Android comments here. Not only boring, but it shows the Android OS or users lack something.

  • 512mb RAM not enough?? you mean not enough for ANdroid OS, I guess you have never used a WP7 device before.

  • HTC, Why didn't you go for the full 5" screen? It's a bigger headliner than 4.7" and it's what the public is waiting for. 480 X 800 Pixel? Why not go higher HTC? Your competition is. NO MICRO SD SLOT OR JAVA? You guys really know how to BS your customers. Always on the look-out.... VIP

  • Windows 7 in this stage is a crap

  • wow can't wait to get this phone, won't be to big if it not with the case. don't know y alot of people put the the case on their phone then they say it to big..

  • Thanks goodness it has Android. You must believe that Android is the future, and NOT other...

  • Holly crap 70mm wide and 131mm height, Thats too big man, i thought my galaxy s2 was big,

  • Try the trophy or radar if you like..

  • Where are the smaller screen WP7? I want 3,5 inch maximum. Sony Ericsson Ray has perfect size imho, but its android

  • Why does HTC always have to limit its customers to reach out and get the best. When we have devices that have 1GB RAM already out there with 1+ GHz processors, and Super AMOLED screens, why limit us to 512 MB RAM & an old SLCD. I am a die hard HTC & WP Fan with 3 current devices and trust me with WP7 Mango running on my HD2, HTC guys give me a reason to buy the Titan. When I was reading abt the Eternity I was hoping we'd have atleast a 1GB RAM Chip under the next WP7 launch from HTC. This however being a great upgrade device is a little disappointing!!!

  • WP7 only allows WVGA (480 x 800) and HVGA (320 x 480).

  • still doesn´t beat the sam. infuse, but very nice screen.

  • u hit the nail on the head on that one

  • I Love this phone... 4,7" with Windows Phone is amazing.

  • So?

  • 400x800?? is it a blackberry?

  • 480 x 800 pixels not good for this size

  • Monster phone!! This is the best WP 7 device!

  • This HTC Titan with a 4.7inch S-LCD screen is going to be a ripper of a mobile phone. However!! HTC, true to form appear to be sticking with a pidderling 1600mah battery to power the giant 4.7inch screen?? One can only hope this phone comes bundled with a spare battery or two. Otherwise you're gunna have problems.

  • samsung would be coming with windows phone having S2 specs..... i too waiting for it.

  • super amoled display technology is invented by Samsung.

  • super amoled display technology is made n invented by Samsung and not LG

  • HTC makes the same mistake over and over, if people would actually start buying from the competition instead of HTC, they might be forced to address the following problems in their current handsets, 1) 512 MB ram not enough these days, 2) Screen resolution too low for a 4.7, the competition is already moving to qHD, 3) instead of the SC-LCD move to LG`s Super Amoled plus beating new display technology !! ( One personal wish would be NFC implementation) with these 3 changes HTC would make a market conquering killa device.

  • Being over 6 foot, I've been waiting for large phones! If only this had android and a higher res screen...

  • This phone looks really nice. 4.7'' with 1.5 GHz! But it should have a higher resolution for that screen size. Hope it gets officially announced soon :)

  • HTC Eternity could be an IPhone and Galaxy SII killer but misses: a) Internal memory capacity should be at least 64G b) SD card...! c) Battery is rather low for the huge 4.7 screen (which of course I love) d) Full HD video Pros: WP7, huge screen but why WP7 don't have a phone that could exceed the specs of Galaxy SII?

  • Still no SD availability? I have Samsung Galaxy SII and looking for a windows phone that will exceed in all specs Galaxy SII. May be I will have to wait for the Nokia answer... Galaxy SII is fine but Kies really sucks!

  • I love this phone! 4.7" sounds perfect. Imagine how the Zune UI is going to look on this baby: album arts, artists' pictures, and more! The only drawback is it not having an expansion memory slot. I don't know why Windows Phone devices can't seem to keep up with expansion memory slots with other Android devices. I will like to see a nice kickstand, too! I'm going to wait for this baby when it comes out, but would love for HTC to really consider providing a kickstand and at least 32Gb expansion memory slot. The Samsung Galaxy S2 is a nice competitor, but I want a good solid mobile OS and not have to worry about the tons of Android versions and updates. WP7 Mango release will turn a lot of eyes towards its more than 500 upgrades. A major plus is having DNLA and other features too many to mention. Mango release is a major, serious, update and those who waited will be very impress. Another reason why I'm going to get this device is because I like HTC Hub. Getting instantaneous emails from my Live accounts, Facebook message, a powerful calendar that interfaces with MS Outlook, and using MS Office product are just a few of the benefits I'm looking forward to upgrading. I think this phone is a phone that anyone will be very happy for several years to come and it won't be obsolete in less than a year. Another recommendation for HTC is to provide 1080p output via HDMI. I guess there will be some sort of USB/HDMI interface? But in all, it's a good start and great beginning that WP7 will finally get some high-end phones.

  • believe me, it wouldn't... :)

  • I like the screen size. I find any screen under 4 inches hard to use, particularly if it's a touch screen. It's interesting how it's such a fast single-core processor. Perhaps HTC know something about how WP7 handles processors that we don't.. (eg. maybe it's not well optimised for dual-core)

  • Lovely!Its My Next Love!

  • i think it would be better if it was an adroid phone.

  • My Next phone is right here...

  • The screen is far too big and the RAM is terribly small. I see flaws everywhere. And I really wonder whether the camera snaps will be any good. More MP doesn't mean better pictures. My sister owns the HTC Desire with a 5MP camera and the pictures look pretty bad. They need better sensors but I'm speaking from experience over a phone that is a year old. I haven't used any 'recent' HTC devices so I'm not sure whether they've bothered to improve it. I'm liking WP7 Mango (but there are still some things that need to be addressed/included). In the beginning I thought it was terrible but now it looks decent. I know that a lot of reviewers are saying that WP7 will never surpass iOS or Android but I've grown fond of the WP7 UI. I hope HTC can make a top WP7 device because I want to use Mango and I like how they are sturdy. I know their designs aren't as 'special' as Nokia's Sea Ray but they look relatively professional and smart (even though I'm far from getting a job!). Come on HTC, bring us something better!

  • os=wp7 mango :((((( i wonna android :(((( i wonna buy htc sensation i can't wait for next android phone :((((( but htc elementary have better cpu and screen :((((((

  • Would have like this if the screen was 4.3 its really a drawback cuz no sense of having that much big screen in a smart phone. But still I can add this to my consider list :)

  • Huge screen :O Too big for my taste tbh....

  • 130.6 x 70.6 that is so big for hand use :(

  • Ya , my hd7 has a big enough screen:)

  • i have the hd7 and i only use the 16gb for music and contacts. when you buy a phone you arent buying a camera:) just sayin. I love my hd7

  • I have the hd7 and i love it. The eternity is a bit bi in my opinion and they both will have the same specs after the mango update:)

  • The htc hd7 is a bit smaller and has the exact same specs and os(when mango update comes out) I own the hd7 and i love it. So i think the hd7 is better

  • I have the HD7 and it is the perfect size. Not too big nor too small. I think the Eternity will be too big, the hd7 is 4.3 inches and the eternity has a 4.7 inch screen. And they both have the same specs besides the Mango os, but the hd7 will also have mango when the update comes out. So i would get the hd7 just because it is the exact same, looks better(in my opinion) and a bit smaller

  • with added card slot i wish"..this phone is a beast!!you dont need a laptop or a netbook anymore.

  • this is so sexy phone

  • Wow great phone!!!! nice features, and I have seen videos of mango os it's goona be a great os.Waiting eagerly for this 4.7 inch beast.Good work HTC keep it up.

  • This will be a killer phone. WP7 is a great OS.

  • i hope this telephone also have android option, and 512 mb ram would be ddr4 :))

  • when you put 512 ram there is no need of 1.5 processor . even wp7 dont need it

  • Ill replace my lil Galaxy S with this pokemon;)

  • too big screen fora smartphone - at least for me ...for you I don't know

  • i cant wait to have this piece :-)

  • good phone

  • By the way WP7 is still behind Anfroid, Ios, and Meego Harmattan I think. The Menu as I know is still that BORING, simple list. :( Many features are missing.

  • Its a pretty good device if all the specs are real. But I there are some problems with this device. First its the 4.7 inch screen. 4.7 inch screen is way TOO big for a smart phone. Second, is the internal storage. In these days even 16 GB is not enough when you use your HD camera. :D The CPU I think that its ENOUGH. The Ram should be 1 GB. We will see the phone soon I think.

  • where is the adobe-flash?or is it with windows?

  • like a tablet :D very high weight(180g) poor CPU! i don't like this
