It's a good phone, I bought one as new for 30 euro in brown colour. Works nice, but compared to the modern smarthphones it's pretty slow. However I still like it, it's really small and feels solid.

LOL mine dropped about 3 times from averagely height of 1m. No doubt that it is still functioning but the skin of the phone getting many scratches. However, my Touch 3G died one time b4 due to i sleep on it and it slipped under my buttock and the touch screen died... Luckily it is still in warranty and they replaced a whole new touch screen(not screen as my screen not spoiled only the touch screen).

To reset your phone, try to have a soft reset at the reset botton. please see user manual. OR, goto Setting>System>Clear Storage then enter the default code "1234". It will be set into its default configuration.

I had a htc touch 3g...it turned off yesterday and never turned on again!!! the local support & repair center said the problem is related to the main board and it should be changed with a new one and it costs 200 $ my PDA worked only 15 mounths and I was protecting it like my eyes!!! Im confused what happened to it and should I pay for repair...? I'll never buy a HTC !!!

I totally agree - bought this phone in OCT 2009 and this phone pocket dials all the time, it is possessed. cannot wait for my contract to end - only another 1.5 year. battery is abysmal, downloading is NOT fast and it drains the battery. camera is NOT great.

I don't have any problems in this phone at all. You can prevent freezing by updating its rom and using ram cleaning softwares. The only problem here is that it won't be able to use win phone 7 which really makes this phone almost obsolete.

Good choices. I have Touch 3G for almost 8 months now and I'm very happy with it. Although there has been a couple of times where it froze on me and I had to reset it, well so did my Windows 7 laptop. But in all it's all-around-smartphone with a reasonable price. To answer your question, my friend just got Touch 2 recently and I think it's a good improvement. I liked the stylish design and the added RAM & ROM, updated windows mobile with the 3.5 audio jack (for listening to music while charging/plugged in!). The other specs are quite similar. So if I were you, now I'd go with Touch 2.

I've had my T3232 for about two months. It's everything I wanted it to be, but I�m starting to wonder if I should have limited myself to Windows Mobile. I wanted that because that is what I'm familiar with but I think maybe some of the 'modern' (Android, Apple, etc) operating systems work better. I like the way the TouchFLO works and love the data entry options. Way better than my previous iPaq PDA. It�s good to be able to use the touch features but also good to be able to use the stylus. And the easy compatibility and parallel functionality with desktop Windows is easy to adapt to. Unfortunately I find ActivSync to be very slow compared to way my wife's iPhone synchronises with iTunes. (I have a lot of contacts and keep a lot of notes on my phone) What I did find is that HTC provide wonderful support in Australia. About a month after I bought the phone I switched from Vodafone to Virgin. Virgin could not get the internet settings right even after 2 or 3 attempts of over ½ hour each. Surely it can�t be too hard given that it�s a Windows Mobile phone! HTC Support talked me through it in 5 � 10 minutes. Overall my favourite feature is the size. It is significantly smaller and lighter than my wife�s iPhone with a large enough sized screen. Very neat even in my shirt pocket. PS: I noticed a few other comments about settings. Try contacting your local HTC support.

3G does not mean VIDEO CALLS :) 3G support means, the phone can download and upload data at fast speeds on 3G network. Video calls is just an application that uses 3G platform. If your phone came with the English version of Windows (English ROM) you may want to format it back. But you will loose all your data on your phone. SIM and Memory card data will be safe. Here are the steps. 1.) Switch on the phone and let it boot to the home screen. 2.) Now hold down the volume down key and press the reset button (on the back under the cover) to reset the phone. Keep the volume down button pressed. A meesage will appear to format the phone. Proceed with intructions. Your language will be reset to ENGLISH (For English WWW ROM) Cheers!!!

My htc touch 3g is running spb mobile shell and spb keyboard and has been 100% reliable, no quirks, glitches or anything in the 3months ive been using it. i store non essential apps on its memory card to keep it light but never have to soft reset because of problems like freezing or hanging. i use a 2grand motorola handheld all day at work n they run winmo and it needs soft resetting frequently! The camera and speaker on the htc are weak and i dont think much of the call quality generally but all other aspects of it are pretty strong. ive got a proporta screen protector and a black silicone case which means it is robust and stealthy and theres a good selection of freeware out there for it. I really recommend mobile shell though, a newer version than mine has just been released and I bet that is awesome. At the price as a very compact pda/phone with built in gps and 3g/wifi the touch 3g ticks my boxes.

Bought this phone on Friday 18/12/09 and by 21/12/09 the usb port of the phone where you would connect the charger and where you would connect it to the pc is now destroyed and I barely can get a charge.Sometimes when I do get a charge I have to turn off the phone and if I dont it charges only to two bars . Can any body tell me where can I get it fixed. The other problem I am having is the the Bluetooth is not working, when I try to access it ,a message comes up telling me that something is wrong with the Bluetooth hardware.My wifi feature is not working either anybody can give me any suggestions on the problems I'm facing I would be very grateful. By the way the charger that connects the phone to the wall was destroyed, don't ask what happen. I'll be awaiting any response that will be able assist me thank you and God bless.

Hey leslie. There are many, but I have tried out the following two freewares for rotating screens. Although, both of them are basicaaly for many other features, but both do rotate the screen pretty perfectly. The applications and there locations are: 1. QuickMenu: Its H-V Switch will rotate the screen. 2. AE Button Plus: It has a rotation option. Only challenge you might face is with "Full Qwerty" keyboard of HTC, which doesn't work in landscape orientation as it is made only for Potrait orientation. You can use windows Keyboard or download any other keyboard freewares like Finger Keyboard etc. Hope it helps: Bijoy

This has got to be the worst phone I have ever owned. Battery life is abysmal, keyboard very finicky to use, phone manages to dial numbers while in my pocket with screen saver on !! Only another 22 months and my contract is up!!!

Saurabh, I'm aware that Touch 3G doesn't have Accelerometer, so auto rotation is not possible, but we can always manually rotate the orientation of Window based phone. But this option has been blocked in HTC Touch 3G due to TouchFlo settings. So, I was wondering if there is any 3rd part software (reliable & tested) to manually rotate the screen with a click. I found one named "Quick Menu", but there the Full Qwuerty keyboard gets deformated once you rotate the screen to Landscape. Are you aware of any other? Bijoy

Bijoy, Accelerometer is a hardware not a software. not aware of the software to rotate the screen. but autorotation is not possible in this model as it requires the hardware for motion sensing. thanks

No, This phone does not have an accelerometer.. the screen does not rotate when the phone is rotated. There is no secondary camera.. only 1 camera 3.2 MP with fixed focus.. but for the price this is good. Cheers !!!

Hi Shafiq Definitely go for the HTC Touch 3G as it is lighter, faster processor, great user interface & it runs on WinMo 6.1 Pro as i-Mate runs on WinMo 6.0. HTC also has a better GPS & also supports Assisted GPS. The only thing that lacks is the qwerty keyboard & the audio/tv out jack. So HTC phone will definitely be a better choice :)

Hi Mahan, 3G does not have accelerometer but HD and diamond do have. all these 3 are different ranges. you may want to check the prices of all the models. processor is more or less the same in all the models. RAM is different. 3G is a very good model for the price. Cheers

Hi Vineesh, 2 things you must do.. First you may want to upgrade your ROM to the latest ROM. Link is available in one of my post (by SS) just search for it and go through the entire thread before upgrading (as you will loose all info on the phone) The new ROM is great, faster and more battery efficient. Second you may want to install the remote tracker.. this will help recover your phone when its lost or stolen. Even if the SIM is changed, it will send the details of the new SIM to the phone number fed in the tracker software. With a little modification, this tracker software can be made hard reset proof, which means that even if the person who stole the phone formats your phone, the tracker software will still be there and will keep sending you the location of the phone on your backup number. The tracker lisk is posted in one of my posts. Just search for it. Cheers!!! Saurabh.

I was asking abt the volume.. because i read in a review that if u keep the phone on the table, the loud speaker is in the back which prevents music from being played out loud enough to hear. I am very happy with the phone. The phone has a good response. Neatly organized menu. I dont know why someone has said not user friendly. Its fine. Hi Podge, You are absolutely correct that the sim card will be the first thing to be changed... but this software is way above it. It will still be running and will send sms to the defined number automatically. This software will send the sms even if the sim is changed. With some modifications, it can also be made hard reset proof. Even if you format the phone, the s/w will still be running in the background. JUST amazing... isnt it !!! Cheers !!!

Hey Saurabh - this Remote Tracker is good so long as the thief does not remove your SIM card.... and that would be the first thing anyone who finds/steals your phone would do!! I think this software has some limited usefulness but it's unlikely to help you get your phone back.

Here is my review: Positive side: very easy synchronization with Outlook, easy set up Negative side: . not very user friendly . too many steps to reach to the command you need . Too slow (you have to wait a couple of seconds before the desired application opens) . Difficult to write on it (very small digital keyboard, not very practical) CONCLUSION: I would definetely think twice before buying this device. I used to have a Palm, which I regret now...

Hi Vineesh, Yes, this has GPS and Google map works like a charm. You can download the google maps application from The ringtone is good.. What exactly is your question... you can always set your MP3 as your ringtone. Have been using this phone for nearly 2 months now & its absolutely wonderful. Its packed full of features & TouchFlow 2D interface makes it easier to use. Its features are worth for the price that you pay. Light weight, accurate GPS & faster web browsing & many more. The only drawback is that the battery doesn't last that long but if you turn off the Data Connection, it makes that battery last longer. One of the coolest WinMo phones I've used.

Hi, try importing all the sim contacts to the contacts of the phone and soft reset. if this does not work, then hard boot the phone using the reset phone menu. You may want to upgrade your Windows version. check out my previous post on upgrading your ROM. Ensure that you flash your phone with the genuine ROM released by HTC or else you may loose warranty if you change your SPL/IPL. 100% this will work.

I have been using the Touch 3G for just over a month now and I must say, its definately made my top 5 list. I uprade or change handsets about every 3 to 5 months so I definately feel that I know what I'm talking about when it comes to phones. I actually sold my HTC Dream/G1 and purchased the Touch 3G and I havn't looked back. Battery is lasting me about 4 days on average, with moderate to heavy use. Screen response is fantastic, call clarity and speakerphone also rate highly. This phone has everything you will ever need and more. My only dislike is the small stylus and tiny on-screen qwerty keyboard, which can make sms and email very frustrating.

Hi, I have been unsing this phone for a while (may be about a month or so) Got this phone for about 19.5 k INR (approx ($400)) All I can say, is that this is the best phone I have ever had. I have changed about 45 phones till now and this one is surely one of the bests. The speed is good and with plenty of RAM having simultaneous applications is easy. This phone is basically for regular professionals who want speed/features with fun. The GPS works really well. I am not sure how people are saying they need license. GPS is absolutely free. You need to get license only for any specific software to work on it. This is how it works. :- your phone has an inbuilt GPS module (reciever). GPS Satellites transmit GPS signals continously. Your phone keeps listening to them. the internal algorithm calculates your position based on the signals recieved by the reciever (this is all free) once the position is calculated, it is interpreted and displayed by the phone on the screen on a MAP (like Google Maps) Now here is where you may need license. to use a third party software for maps, you may need a license or to buy it. Google maps are free and do not require any license. So, incase you are using google maps on your phone, you can get your location details on a map absolutely free. Now there are other software available in the market where they may be more features like voice signals, street views etc which you may have to buy. But all the software would be based on the inputs provided by the GPS satellites which is free. Now coming to the battery life. The battery is decent. not very good, neither too bad. I get about 2 days with average talktime and sms. What else can you expect from a 3G GPS phone. Usual PDA give 1-2 days backup. I think it is decent. The best part is you can carry the charger cable and charge it at work through USB. Camera quality is OK. not very exciting. Ensure that while clicking pics, there are no hand shakes. Also, after clicking the picutre, just hold the phone steady for a sec so that the pic does not get blurred. One of the best features is the Voice Command. You can dial a number, start an application, seek help, dial digits by speaking, etc by voice command. Wifi works great and this has a b/g network which is pretty cool and efficient on such a small device. Internet browing is good but in Opera, you need to zoom every page to see it properly unless you switch into the mobile view. Speedwise, it is just grrreat !!! The screen is quite sharp and sensitive too... To ensure you get light touches, while calibrating the screen, touch the targets as lightly as you can to ensure that it sets the lightest value in the registry. this will make the touch sensitive. You can install upto 16GB micro SD card, so space is not a constraint for average users. Oh yes, one drawback.. The screen and the chrome finish on the phone attracts a lot of fingerprints. So, that could be improved. Also the back cover locks break easily. so be carefull while CLOSING the back cover or else you have a broken latch (small lock). Overall this is a fairly decent phone with decent features and performance for daily use !!! Cheers !!! Saurabh

I've had this phone for 6 months and have had none of your problems. I get 3 days on the battery with moderate use. I use the GPS all the time, it works with Google Maps but even better if you instal Software (I have Garmin). and what do you mean it's always trying to connect to the internet? Do you know how to use WinMo? this is the best phone I've ever had, but if you're not good on a computer then don't buy this phone because it can be complicated to set up if you're a novice (like Cellucity)

well after 2 monthes from buying this set i feel that this phone is going to kill me by a high blood pressure,after just 3 weeks from buying it it started to auto turnoff,storage card not seen by the device,hanging while browsing,screen freezing,and finally the mobile dead and i turn it on to the service center and they swapped a new main board for free as i have a warranty,but i till want to get rid of this bad handset as it still hanging in different times. advice:save your money and don't buy it

my battery life isn't that bad. it lasts 2 days heavy usage and 3 days if just sms and call without wifi. for the connectivity i suggest you create an new profile for connection and set it to blank so it wont connect to the internet all the time.i agree the browser isnt that good i use the old opera and i find it much better than the default opera or the internet explorer. my only complain in this phone is that whenever it syncs the email you cant specify the number of days the emails it will get nor get set the KB it will downloads so you will always get incomplete emails. you can only get the full email if you set to download the specific email then sync it again. does anybody know how to fix this? i havent tried to upgrade the rom or os yet.

The battery life is really bad...about a day if you hardly use it,less than a day if it is used.If you don't know windows mobile it is very hard to get use to.GPS is non exsistent...licence is required.Smsing is a real pain.Always tries to connect to the internet for no reason,there is no setting to change this unless you go spend money at leaf to update the OS.Contact list is in micro size style and is really frustrating to navigate through.Internet browzer really not very user friendly and not very responsive.The only nice feature is the weather updates, anywhere in the world.Otherwise other phone use is recommended.

Hi I've been using this phone in India since 2 months. The mother board conked out after 20 days of use, fortunately in warranty and mb got replaced and working fine. I had option of going for Nokia 5800 express but decided to go in for HTC as processor speed of 528 mhz looked good for faster web browsing. Currently nokia is sent to launch E52 that is slated to come with 600 mhz processor that will be better than htc. This phone is gr8 for surfing and a great PDA.

Tamp, You cannot compare the HTC touch 3G to the HTC viva (check the specs) the 3g has a 528MHz processor, the VIVA has a 200 Mhz (according to this site) it has less RAM too. Certainly not something I would consider very capable of running Skype and other applications very well. but either way, is not close to comparible to the 3g performance wise

Are you ever REALLY going to use ANY (videocall camera, Radio.) of these functions?? I know I don't - and well 8GB already included, it is just a price issue.. all that means is you spend a fraction extra to buy a memory card when you purchase. bigger screen, ok that is something you cannot change. I do not think symbiam does word etc. editing very easily, has a viewer but not a full editor like win mob. 6.1 my choice would be the HTC, but I want to be able to install lots of extra software easily.

Its you who needs to decide u want a PDA wid windows operating system or symbian OS.I bet windows mobile are much smarter when it comes for using softwares like for example skyscape...with its RAM 195 n 528Mhz processor makes 3g+HSPDA 7.2Mbps its faster processing n faster internet...as compared to 5800 RAM 125 n 369Mhz processor also has 3g but HSPDA is 3.2Mbps..... but if u crave for crisp audio,video,+stereo speakers +cool looks its more of multimedia n fashion hip kinda mobile....lil expensive than HTC u cant have both in one ...not yet!in future definitely HTC or nokia will manufacture but for now choose either one (according to your needs)

People saying Touch 3G and the Viva are the same may get their facts clear. Apart from the 3G, the main difference is the processor and the ram which is much higher in the 3G and makes it a breeze to work with. I have chosen the 3G over the Viva because of this reason only. I do a lot of work in my phone and it doesn't give me any problem. Please make sure what you need the phone for. Just to showoff the Viva is alright. But to do work, 3G anyday.

Can anyone tell me how is this phone compared to HTC TOUCH VIVA. I am told the only difference is the camera and 3G. A few people also told me that Touch 3G has been a poor model and hasn't been doing well, lot of complains etc whereas the VIVA is a more stable model. I find the HTC Touch 3G a great phone. I have a Samsung Omnia i900 touch phone but I find the HTC Touch better. I bought one in December, i'm not sure if it's a one off problem. the phone performs great but it has developed hardware/software problems (The volume mutes when the USB cable/handsfree cable is unplugged) that has seen me sending it to the service centre twice within one week. I still do feel it is a great phone and hope it can be rectified.

Hi all, If you are a first time user of the touch screen interface like me, I would strongly suggest that this is the phone for you. This phone is perfect (almost) in every sense. Camera - Though it may not have the best 5/8/12 MP camera currently we are known for, but 3.2 at outdoor, under sunlight conditions is better than average. Radio - If you cannot leave without an FM radio receiver in your phone. This is not for you. If you can adjust with the streaming radio through internet, then give this phone a try. Battery - much better than many other models. In sense of battery mileage, it is not right to give any number of days usage between recharges. It varies from person to person depending on their style. For an average user like me, some wi-fi checking, 30 mins of phone call, playing around with the phone (not games), as I have just got it, I can easily push my next recharge after 4 days before the phone switches off due to low battery.

Hi Chris, you can change the "input methods" at the bottom center of the screen when u are composing your message. change it to "Phone Keypad". Maybe this could help u a little.

to be honest, i bought it two days ago and i tought it would be a little desapointing but, since it's my birthday, it tought let's give it a try. Well, I've had many phones, from pda's like qtek 2020i to the first touch, and very good mobile phones like k800i, n95, n81, etc. and this mobile somehow suprised me. i would risk to say in my opinion of course that it's even better than n95 (except for the camera but has touch screen so they are equal).It has all that you would need on a smartphone and it's "finger-friendly". the only negative points i found were: no flash, but no problem, it's a smartphone not a camera, and poor quality finish, were i include the lack of a pouch like the old touch used to bring and the plastic could be a little bit better taking the back as an example. so i would recommend it to everyone. bye

It�s a nice phone. I have recently bought it. It�s small and slick. Looks wise dam good. They should improve their ring tone sound and add flash inside of camera. Touch screen works so good compete to others. New technology is added that is finger touch and dragging any page with finger touch.

@m you can use opera mini for internet browsing in landscape mode so that isn't really a big issue. there is a version of opera mini available for htc touch so it should work on touch 3G. I think this is a reliable PDA Phone, with good specs for its price and an appealing user interface. the interaction with the device is almost at ipod standards but except for an accelerometer, multitouch and screen standard this is a real challenger for the ipod. it's got quad band, hsdpa for 7.2mbps internet browsing, it has gps, bluetooth with edr and a2dp, it has wifi b/g, so for me it does all i need. i wouldn't advise you to buy one if you write tones of emails and sms, you should probably choose a qwerty pda phone for that, but if you want a compact, quick, user frendly and specd device the touch 3g is a cool choice..my personal rate for the device is 8.5/10.

I just got the phone 2 days ago. After exploring it in depth, no regrets, I truly love it... It is an excellent smartphone at its current price tag. Bundled with a highly responsive touch UI, non-laggy and innovative toucFLO (I love the weather forecast, forecasts are quite accurate for the city I live in), powerful WMP 6.1, fast GPS tracking, connectivities (wifi, 3.5G, bluetooth...), enjoyable internet experience with opera mini, etc. It has got some minuses though, such as the lack of a 3g camera, no FM radio (not important as one can always use internet radio), no dedicated side camera button (though i think it is omitted for the sake of a sleeker and more appealing design). Imaging quality is not bad, however, video recording is not satisfactory. On the whole, it is a recommended buy.

ops... forgot to add. by default, there is no GPS map and software, you have to install it your own.

saw quite alot of question ask about the GPS. For your info, the phone come with a program call QuickGPS, it store the global position of the satelite data and update weekly for any change in position. I think its this software that boost the speed to fix your position. I'm using TomTom6 and took me less then a minute to get my position. sometime when i'm searching for the road name, the signal already up. I'm not sure why people ask whether it support Google Map, any PPC support it, only thing is to nevigate using Google Map is slow.

Hi guys, seems that you're all having full with this new toy that seems to be suitable for my own requirements. Thus far I haven't been interested in a phone if it doesn't sport the Nokia name due to my experience with their quality and intuitive user interface. However, they don't offer the PDA version with windows software. ANy way my big question, does the Touch 3G suffer from freezing up? My friends with TyTN handsets suffers so much it is absolutely terrfiying and I refuse to enter that zone.

The cosmetic of the phone is fragile. Dropped it once and it looked like a major accident.. The case material is easily scratched... The battery life is ok if you use wifi sparingly.. charge once every 2 days... The touchflo is excellent and responsive like iphone. Windows mobile 6.1 is very stable... stylus is very thin, proportionate to the not so big screen... overall, its an average 3.5g touchscreen phone.. almost worth the price..

The camera is way way lousy. For such a price, I was expecting a decent camera at least... Resolution is ok. But no flash? That's acceptable.. But no autofocus? Oh man! Once I started snapping photos on the Touch 3G, I definitely baulked at its price tag. All the pics turned out blurry, even with light.. Unless I am a lousy photographer, you should try it for yourself then.. The rest of the functions are ok...

Some reviewers have described the phone's touch interface as better than that of the iPhone. In fact every touch-screen phone entering the market comes with the dream of bettering the iPhone in performance. HTC's Touch 3G is also an effort in that direction. i think by (Handwriting Recognition) they mean the Transcriber ... and its in all touch screen phones :D when u want to wrute someting .. click on the keyboard sign, then click on the little arrow that appears next to the keybard sign and choose transcriber :D

hi all. ive been using this phone for close to 2 weeks now and i think its decent for its price. take other phones with similar features in the market for example, they wld have cost way more. Many people are asking how to use the gps function. well, the phone is equipped with gps receiver, but it has no preloaded maps. so you'll have to download maps from elsewhere, which is pretty straight forward. if youre a newbie and are looking for free maps, you could try googlemap. then again, it aint that great. on the down side, as many had mentioned, its battery does not last too long, depending on how you use it though. if youre a heavy wifi user, you'd probably need to charge it everyday. otherwise, charging once every 3 days or so shd be fine. and yes, it has no sub camera for video calls too. that's fine with me as i do not require it. the phone's camera lacks flash and autofocus, and 3.2mp is mediocre by today's standards. its lack of radio could be remedied by installing third party radio softwares though. one question i have is, does this phone support sd cards higher than 8 gb?

@ jack I'm using Outlook 2003 and the phone does sync fine. It's annoying when people say that phone's can't do certain things simply because they can't work out how to make it work. Read the manual, and if you still have problems do a google search. If you want a simple basic phone that doesn't require any computer knowledge then don't buy WinMo. Build quality is also good, better than my Samsung U700 and at least as good as my Nokia N95.

I just got this phone recently and i think it is a pretty good phone. For the price you are paying, it is a great deal. Decent screen and great response from the phone. As for battery life depends on how you use it, you might be able to get about 3 - 4 hours WIFI non-stop on one charge, other than that the phone can standby for about 3-4 days with WIFI used sparingly. Downisides as mentioned is no flash as well as a 3.5mm jack for headphones. Cheers

it's a nice phone. got it in black. some of issues that i've with this phone: 1) battery used up too fast. 2) nice sound but speaker goodness! why they put at the back. 3) workmanship of the phone not as neat as in the picture, at least in Malayisa market. 4) back cover made of plastic-too fragile. i will need to get a separate cover 5) pictures are nice 6) more choices of games 7) internet still depends on 3G stabiliby for the area 8) I haven't seen any other color except for black 9) I do have to reset it a few times because it hang. I've had the phone for two weeks and have had no issue except I can't work out whether it's possible to rotate the screen manually when web surfing (I know it doesn't have the auto-rotate). Ignore the haters like "Chairman" - this is a great phone and NO I don't work for HTC.

I'm using HTC Touch 3G T3232 handset for about a week now. Its one of the best handset ever developed by HTC. Very responsive, ease to use, no sluggishness, no hangs and finally battery life last about 2-3 days with normal use. This is one of the best PDA phone with a very adorable look and feel. I recommend it for anyone. Note: T3232 would be even better if it has inbuilt flash because many people use the camera light as a torch and dedicated audio jack. Overall the phone is excellent piece

Hey, I have bought my HTC Touch 3G a while ago and am very happy with it. I use just about all the functions on it and they work without any problems. few downsides: - low battery life (1 - 2 days max) - low internal memmory (I upgraded with an 8GB card and it has plenty of space now) It's very easy to use, synchronises without any problems with my computer. Response is acceptable. hello everybody I have bought this mobile a week ago and I'm so happy with it as for the battery life it lasted about 2-3 days depending on your usage I don't use gps cause I don't have this service in my country and I talked and recieved called and played some music and sent and recived some stuff by bluetooth and sent and recieved a couple of emails and the battery lasted about 3 days after a full charge and by the I use 8gb microsd in it and it works fine by the the mobile is superfast and never lagged not even a littlebit. In the specs here it says that it has a second camera (for video calling) is that a typo ?? If it does not have another camera then the 3g is useless to me and this is a deal breaker :( It seems that the the cruise is still better for me

Well, other phones that sell for just a lil more offer a bigger screen, a better camera, video calling... But I must say that the software is very stable. The Htc Touch 3G is more a functional phone. Someone who's after a gadget: buy an omnia, iphone, renoir... The HTC is a very stable mobile phone that will give the bussiness man everything he requires. I must say that i love the looks of the HTC. It's not that big at all, very stylish. So, would i pay �400, i don't think so. Have i thought about it.. i surely did. Maybe, maybe not... :)

There are 3 or 4 great reviews of this pda phone available on Youtube so you should check them out. Just type "HTC Touch 3G" in the search box and you'll see some comprehensive reviews of 7 or 9 minutes. I think this pda phone is pretty good and altough it doesn't have a 5 mpx or 8 mpx camera with famous manufacturer's lens and autofocus or FM Radio it has other highlights like the 528 MHz processor or its 192 MB of RAM which are extremely useful for professional users. Because of it's fast processor navigation through the interface is very good and continuous. The GPS module is good, doing its job very well with Google Maps and also you can use 3rd party software like iGo, TomTom or Garmin. In conclusion, it's a very good device for its price without major set-backs.

I work in a Belcompany store in Belgium I just tested the 3G. Most ppl want to know wether there is a radio or not.. well, there ain't. It's a very good looking device, but i don't think it's worth it's �400 but that's my opinion

The site you are interested -walmart...it's gone just like 'superdealssystems'. It seems they operate just for few days, collect the money and disapear! Read advice from a site where a dealer wanted $200.- for Orbit2. Moneygram and wester union - if dealer want's you to pay via 'above' it's a scam. Very cheap it's another giveaway.

I think the lack of accelerometer, VGA screen, 3D Touch Flo, FM radio, etc is all good - I don't care about any of these but I do care about battery life and this device may actually work for more than 12 hours without a recharge, unlike the Touch Diamond!

Yep... the lag is gone... processor is way faster... Yet, no auto focus... camera has a fixed focus and no flash... And about the colors... blame it on WinMo that can't handle neither 256K nor 16M colors..

5-way navigation means the buttons on the bottom centre can do: UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT and SELECT Is the 3.15MP fixed focus or auto focus? Hopefully it is autofocus because it will be a tad disappointing if it isnt.

Gud phone....i think tht it wud overcome the speed lag of the original touch, with a swifter processor...Camera iz gud, but it wud be better if it wud hav Auto Focus n Flash... n i really luvv the form factor of the touch series. N HTC, it wud be better if u start workin on a 262k or 16m color phone...grow up the age of 65k is long gone now..... n do add a Multi Touch in ur New phones...

Love the device, it looks very elegant. I currently use the HTC touch and I am very happy with it, switched from the BB pearl, and the unit has been 100% reliable. Only negative is when out of WiFi range, the ability to download/surf etc is non-existent! With the new 3G tech has this issue been addressed? Does the new phone give the Apple 3G a good run for it's money? All that to say, I really am happy with the brand and would not hesitate to recommend the brand.

Ravishing indeed! It's got all the heavy stuff you�d really use, save for exactly those (at least speaking for myself) would see as cool-factor (like 3d graphics and accel.), which I don't really mind living without anyway, for the sake of affordability and battery life. Perhaps a video conference camera could have still found its way in I must admit (especially when the whistle blows out loud �3G�), but at the end of the day that's not crucial either (I�m using the HSDPA connectivity mainly for my laptop when I�m out and about). Overall, Nice job HTC! I can only hope the price tag will definitely remain aligned with the preceding touch, touch-dual range. Oh, and a little question now: I wonder what happened to OneNote? Is it missing from the spec sheet or from the phone? It's just a small detail perhaps, but I'm asking as this is probably a frequently used app for many folks on mobile devices. I thought they all have it out of the box since WM 6.1 (or even 6?). Thanks!
