Well, not too bad but can't download from google store, gets too hot on browsing and even can't update software. Pls can the makers come out openly and tell why or how to solve this problem making a good phone look bad. Or is there anyone out there that can proffer a solution? Hi friends, I bought this phone in Kuwait. It is good phone for camera & watching movies. Battery life is very very very bad. Phone gets too too too hot. You cant speak without ear-set. And you don't get phone accessories cover in the local market as well. And phone is heavy.Not suitable for carrying in pocket. My opinion: dont buy. Thanks!

The phone is a rare beauty. Performance above LG o4x HD owned by me before giving credit to Chinese ascend p6. For Samsung guys as well as LG or iPhone ones or whatever brand you love , bear in mind that your favourite mobile is made in China orparts of it of assembled and so on. DO not ask where to buy this. or why this is not imported to my country etc. For those living in EU (European Union) they can buy it from any electronic or normal shop with it's base in EU. And yes in case anything happens warranty is paneuropean (covers all europe no matter which member you bought it, no matter where you live. this is EU regulations. For the rest i think huawei also provides global guarantee, but which service on it's central offices in china. You can check buying the phone on amazon.co, ebay.com, aliexpress.com or just search "buy Ascend D2" on any machine such as google, yahoo, bing etc and you will see many online shops selling it

hi, i bought my Ascend D2 in Shenzhen (China) over the weekend (April 27) in one of the stores in Hua Qiang Bei. It cost me 3700 RMB which is about $580 AUD or $600 USD. I haven't used Android for awhile but first impressions of this phone are very positive

I had first gen of Ascend D for about 6 months, bought in China from internal Huawei employee. Run good for over 5 months and then suddenly the speaker is dead. Still produce sound using headset. Search on google, found some users experience the same problem. Hope huawei warranty cover this problem. Will send to Huawei soon.

Huawei is the world 2nd largest telecommunication equipment supplier. The network that your phone connected to is most probably linked to Huawei equipments. If it is not due to certain countries such as America, Australia etc banning the use of Huawei's telecommuncation equipments due to political reasons, it should be the biggest telecommunication now. I bought a Ascend D1 Quad from JBHiFi in Australia. Pretty good value. Only drawback is 1G RAM is a little bit not match the definition of high end smart phone. However the 8GB internal FLASH gained some score back. I like the spec of D2 especially the dual sim function. However I will NOT buy it since it does not use standard SIM. For someone have some standard SIM, this is not the option, unfortunately. It seams I have to go SAMSUNG or something else.

I come from China and now share a few experiences of D2. Pros: The most outstanding screen i have ever seen,particularly for its great color display and high resolution. Signal: Wifi is not as strong as my lg su640 while connecting in the same position. But the 3g signal is better than all of my other phones. Drawback:UI is not good enough. And the phone sometimes is easy to become hot when runing games or maps (like google map)

I heard it's fake actually. It bonded two of 4 core processors together, one is high speed and the other is much lower, then only one of the quad core processor works at a time, the other will be put into idle mode.

Love the Brand Huawei. I already own 2 phones, Huawei honor and Huawei sonic U8650. Love them. Can Huawei release more competitve phone than Micromax Canvas HD with just a difference of INR 2,000 based on Indian market and customers. Features like water resistance steel body are rarely useful what we need is Screen resolution, Jelly Bean 4.1 or more and sufficient ram to run phone smoothly.

Just curious anyway why in one of the video preview during the CES, after dipping the D2 into water for few seconds, He (the reviewer) cannot access on the touch screen and also the capacitive keys fails until he wiped off the remaining water from the surface of the screen.

Own it, Love it, Had it four months now. FAST! good battery life, solid quality and a great high end feel to the rubberized case. My provider isn't really the greatest and doesn't give opportunity to really let this phone soar and stretch it's wings fully. On Par with the new Galaxy, however as an unpopular brand don'e expect much support in the way of accessories. Am hoping for at least an otterbox! Startup and restarts are superfast! I tether my laptop internet through this phone while multitasking it seemlessly. Not my first phone from this company, this is by far superior quality then 2 previous I've owned.

The problem with Huawei in India the management is not so focused on the handset market since they have another telecom sector to get more revenue. Mobile is peanut for Huawei management. So you can choose some other phone instead of this. Pretty expensive. Same Chinese think they good but they are not in marketing.

The phone should have been bigger, it doesn't make sense having a 5" screen with 1080p resolution when you have the Samsung Note 2 that's much larger with a 720p resolution, it will be too sharp. Should have been at least 5.5" minimum. Also should have come with Nvidia's Tegra 4 chip, would have destroyed the competition with it's 72 cuda core GPU. Oh well. I shall wait for something much better.
